I'm at a strange sort of Foo Fighters concert, and it seems I'm part of the band and on stage with them. The concert is set in a gigantic room, and the stage is surrounded by a massive pool, above which are many beams and platforms that form a sort of obstacle course. After a while, I end up on on the obstacle course, but fall off from one balance beam, into the pool.

I swim for a while, and the concert seems to end. The audience (there are seats outside the pool) cheers, and for some reason all the band members take off their clothes and jump into the pool. I end up chatting with Dave Grohl, and I feel a bit like I'm left out of the band, even though I'm supposedly a member. He hands me a bunch of books, which somehow remain dry despite the fact that we're still swimming, and I apparently have to return them to the library.

Unfortunately I'm having some trouble remembering this dream. Basically, I was back in middle school or high school. I found myself in late August, 2001, but I was aware of my life and events through 2010. Somehow, I had been sent back in the past (and, it seems, made younger too), and I was aware of it, at least partially. I was confused at how I got here, and kept wondering if this was real (but it did not occur to me that I was dreaming).

I was in a sort of courtyard near one of my old schools, and I decided that I should try to convince someone that I really had been sent back in the past, in hopes that they could help me. For some reason, the character of Gretchen from Donnie Darko was around, and I ended up talking to her about it, also wanting to go on a date with her at the same time. I explained my story (or at least, what I could make of it) to her, and told her that I'm aware of some events that will occur and that will prove I'm not making this up. I tell her about the 9/11 attacks that will occur soon, and I might have mentioned the war in Iraq. I don't remember much after that, except feeling confused and maybe "warping" to other places/times.

One last fragment, I had a dream where I was with a bunch of people from my old high school class, and we were in some kind of PE class where we had to bike around a park. I somehow found a way to "air-bike" -- I was just floating/sitting in mid-air, as if on a bike, and pedalling, and I would go forward with great speed. It was quite a fun experience, and for some reason I wouldn't get tired no matter how hard I pedaled.

    2. A bad night.

      by , 08-07-2010 at 06:13 AM
Lights out at 1:35AM. At 4:13 the cat woke me up and I wrote this:

A train. Packing. Fear. Playing something on the computer. Train goes between states off consciousness? Maybe. Can't remember. I'm a little girl and I'm scared. I'm all the DC's. Or at least two. The little girl's afraid of me. Should she be? Maybe. Where am I taking her on the train? Have to hurry--the road closes at night. Levels. Of what?

At 8:38 the other cat woke me and I wrote this: Drinking with Lloyd in Mtown, then driving to Dad's along the river in my old convertible. Stopped at a playground along the way. The slide was made of wood. Dad's house was different. Much bigger. Sharon had something painted on the back of her brown dress. It was for work. I felt anxious and wanted to be alone. I ran through the house to the back room and shut the door. But Lloyd followed me. He was trying to convince me to come out and socialize and he got ever more condescending about it. He just wouldn't stop. Eventually I was in tears and though the cat *was* trying to get my attention what woke me was the sound of my own voice when I yelled aloud, "Just leave me alone!"

      Unhappy DC (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

My wife's "lovely" bosses sent her one of their usual "Lovely" emails at night, which pissed her off before going to bed. That annoyed me as well and I did not focus on anything. I woke up at 5am with a short fragment, at 6:20 am with another fragment that I was able to recover into an almost full dream. I said to my self I so not wanted to come only with crappy dreams, having a lucid dream was a MUST to make the night at least a little decent. I fell asleep determined and had a lucid. Total of three dreams:

      First:

      - 12 colors.
      - DC.
      - Talking about the colors.
      - Indoors.
      - He was not happy.
      - Informed him that was not a happy request on dad
      (no idea about this)

      Missed dream Signs:
      - Unknwon.

What I would have done if lucid:
      - Unknown.

    4. 07/25/10 The Hallway, Elephant Mascot??

      by , 08-06-2010 at 07:17 PM (Sydney's Nightly Adventures)
      -The Hallway-
All I can remember was this: I was walking down a hallway and all of a sudden some jerk guy about my age tripped me. I think he fell on me too, and started flirting with me! Later on, I recognized one of my friends who I don't see very often. She told me who that guy was. It was a very familiar name but I just can't remember it.

      -Elephant Mascot-
Long story short, I had a dream in which I raised a baby elephant. The elephant eventually got really big. He was wearing a shirt and cap..lol. Later on I could not find him and discovered that he had jumped into a tub of water and tried to stop the flooding. (There was apparently a flood in the old school) I'm not sure where he was a while later, and I walked over to a fountain/sink. I turned on the faucet then turned it off. I had two friends beside me. I remember this very clearly; we all saw 2 tiny baby elephants in the sink. I heard the girl to my left say, "That is the most amazing thing i've seen in my entire life."
    5. Failed Reality Check!

by , 08-06-2010 at 06:43 PM (My Official Journey Into Lucid Dreaming)
Last night, I had several dreams. This is the only one I recall, and I only remember a fragment, but what is really a bummer, is that I questioned the dream, and did a reality check, but passed! I therefore concluded that I WAS NOT dreaming! The reality check was something new. I tried to push a finger through the palm of my hand. I recognized the dream sign, and did this immediately. The problem is that my finger did NOT go through my hand! I've got to go back to just checking my hands; it's much more effective.

I am at the beach. I am near the shoreline. The sea is raging (think the movie "300") filled with foam and swells. It doesn't seem to actually come on shore, but just rage out a bit from the surf line. Suddenly it freezes. Not like ice, but suspended animation; it just stops moving. Hey, wait a minute, water doesn't do that. I look down and try to force my index finger through my hand. No good, it must not be a dream. I start to run. Others are running as well. The ocean then "unfreezes" and continues. It continues to freeze and unfreeze as I move through my dream. The sky is sunny and the weather is nice. Everyone is focused on the ocean. A water fountain appears. The water is moving as usual until it suddenly takes a shape and rises up in the form of a buddha like person. A Buddha made of water. I am fascinated, and so is everyone else. We start to move closer, and it collapses into water again....

      Conditions:
      Fell asleep: 1:00am
2400 mg of Omega 3 Fish Oil before bed
      Lots of food before bed

    6. Epic Dream Fights & More Coworker Dreams.

by , 08-06-2010 at 03:15 PM (The Mind is Power; My Dream Journal)
I can't really remember these two dreams in vast detail, like I hoped, but I can remember a decent amount. I remember two dream fragments:

#1: I was in some sort of foresty valley with a bunch of other people to celebrate my friends wedding. My wife was there and so were my other friends. It was Whitneys wedding we were celebrating. I remember seeing Whitney in pretty vivid detail and Brian as well. Then for whatever reason I'm walking through the middle of nowhere, still at this wedding, to another town to use the bathroom. Gotta love dream logic. And then, for whatever reason, the fighting begins. Inspired by Dragonball I, for no reason whatsoever, have to begin fighting my relatives in Dragonball style. But for some reason my relative is Tien from DBZ. So we start fighting and I remember throwing energy blasts at him and I seem to hold my own pretty well. For whatever reason another person joins the fight and I remember vividly trying to perform my kamehameha attack but nothing comes out of my palms. However, Tien still stumbles backwards as if hit by energy. It was a really cool feeling. I also remember sneaking into a small house, crawling past a small bedroom with a TV and a video game on, to go use the bathroom. But I couldn't find the bathroom and, from one of the darker closets, a cousin of mine grabs me and scares the crap outta me.

#2: And now I'm in some giant kind of superstore stocking shelves. Mike, my buddy from work, is there too. We're both working hard. I remember Jason and David, the owners of the company I work for, being there as well. For whatever reason I have to go out of the store and down to a ditch where there is a big pump moving water. So I get down there and there the pump is. It is blue and rectangular and sitting inside of a box which is in the water. However; the box only has three sides. No fourth side. I remember this sorta making me extremely confused. Because, without the right wall of the box, how is the water staying in there? I shoulda done an RC because I'm pretty sure I would have become lucid if I thought about it. My confusion, even though the dream isn't that vivid to me, was really strong and I remember it VERY clearly. So anyways I fiddle around with the pump by moving it around. I'm afraid of the water getting low and the pump sucking up air and dying (gotta love it when your work invades your dreams). So I move it outta the box and higher up this muddy slope. It begins to pull less water. OK. So I move it back down towards the box and suddenly it's shooting all of that water again. It's at this point, while fiddling with the box and pump, that I see two gold coins just sitting in the mud. I pick them up. My first thought is: I should give these to Leah to show her dad (who is a coin collector). I look at the coins closer and see that they look similar to the 2010 US pennies at one side (with the flag like shield) and on the other side is a pair of large trees that cross at the very top and in the middle is a couple of giraffe standing in some tall grass. I think to myself: "These coins must be currency in Africa!" And then I'm walking back into the "superstore" to show them off.

Whew! For two "fragments" I sure did remember quite a bit. I love it when that happens. I think that, with my new routine, I'm going to be making great progress. Last night I forgot to do my meditation/mantra but I did the rest all day. Today should be more effective, I think, because I was up too late last night.
    7. I think I had a lucid!!!

by , 08-06-2010 at 01:34 PM (Beyond the Horizon)
      ...but I can't remember it!
I vaguely remember spinning to change the scene in front of me, then I did it again. I think I could see a white place, then I woke up.

I thought to myself "Hmm... maybe I should write this down... Nah, too tired..."
I didn't really feel like getting up and turning on the light.

How do you get yourself up in the middle of the night?

    8. 6-8-2010 | Work, work, work

      by , 08-06-2010 at 09:47 AM (~ Frishert's Dream Chronicles ~)
      Comment Dream Lucid Dream

I was at work, walking through the building together with my boss. Or rather, I think I may have been a co-boss in my dream. I can't remember much except for us walking around and accessing floors the building in reality doesn't even have. The floors were gray and vaguely resembled my college.

I also remember a mate from college (who's going to quit and do another study next year) giving me a pack of guitar strings as a gift, and then leaving.

Ok. Yesterday's entry was a great start, today's not as good a follow-up. I had to sleep in a bed I normally don't sleep in (without my journal, so I had to improvise and use a sheet of paper) and I was exhausted to begin with. Nonetheless, back in the old days I used to start whining and stop trying, now I'm just going to try and learn from this and move on. Better luck tonight!

    9. High Carbon Cheesesticks

      by , 08-06-2010 at 08:03 AM
So I was on a school bus going on a field trip to somewhere. One of the teachers passed out cheesesticks for a snack because it was a long trip. We all ate our cheesesticks happily. We got to our destination which was like this forest, and we all started taking pictures with our cameras. All of the sudden I fell to the ground. I tried to get up, and once or twice I managed to get to my feet, but I just fell right back down. Soon I couldn't even get up anymore. The teacher who passed out the cheesesticks ran up to me screaming "OH MY GOD!" An ambulance came and shipped me off to a hospital.

I was in the hospital bed getting checked out. A male doctor said, "Oh no, it seems you are paralyzed from the waste down. Now we have to do reconstructive surgery and physical therapy to get you walking again." The teacher was in the corner crying. The doctor asked her why she was crying. She pulled out a cheesestick from her purse and pointed at the label. "It's all my fault! These cheesesticks are high in carbon!" Then she went back to crying. Apparantly carbon causes paralysis.

The next thing I remember I am walking around in my school. For some reason I go to the guidance office. Walking for me is very hard, it seems like I'm stumbling and about to fall any minute. A kid in the guidance office is sitting in a chair crying. Somehow he got paralyzed too. The guidance people question me and ask me if I could have accidentally given the kid my paralysis germs. Then I wake up.

    10. Playing guitar.

Hmm. I recall these two mound-like structures in my dream. They were kinda roughly tessellated, like from some 3D computer RPG from the 90s.

I don't remember what was happening there. I think it was dark.

In another part of the dream, this guy I used to go to school with (but never really got along with), Tom, was playing guitar for some people and asked me to accompany him. I grabbed the guitar that was next to him and he quickly went through what I would have to play in the various parts. It was pretty easy to pick up, although I was still unsure what I had to be playing at times.
Later on I remember that I was playing random stuff and there was a girl sitting next to me, wondering what I was doing.

      Dream Classes (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I went to bed very very late. I have been working on after-classes duties, organizing the users that attended and some notes about all discussed. I had some super game operator duties to attend and I have been working on my new self employment management opportunity. I recalled four dreams.

      Second.

      - Indoors.
      - Classes.
      - Several DC.
      - Talking about dreams.
      - DC were asking questions.
      - Other DC answered with what they knew.

This dream ended abruptly. I woke up with extreme finger pain. It has been a big while until last time happened, damn fingers!

      Missed dream sign:
      - Talking about dreams.

What I would have done if lucid:
      - I would suggest a brainstorm to all students to improve lucidity. I am sure I would learn a lot from my subconscious.

    12. The Race

      by , 08-05-2010 at 08:22 PM
I look around, and see that I am somewhere that looks like a cross between a cross-country racetrack and a seaside college campus.I notice that the place is PACKED, and I remember that I wanted to meet my DG, so I yell for all DCs to go away and my DG to stay. I saw the Dcs go away, then a tall man who looks like Tim Omundson came up behind me and asks if I'm ready for the race. I scare easily, so I was startled into a dream fragment.

Dream Fragment: I'm in a yellow Hummer with a bunch of people who are my friends in the dream. We drive off a ramp and my "brother" gets electrocuted on a power line, which is over the ramp. I was screaming to my "friends", "You could've killed him! You could've killed him!" until I woke up.

by , 08-05-2010 at 07:57 PM (Things to Run Away From Really Fast)
      08/05/10

I hardly remember anything from last night. The first time I fell asleep, I experienced a few hypnagogic hallucinations, one of which formed into an actual coherent scene. I was talking to a recurring DC, although I don't remember which one, and I remember agreeing to something that I probably shouldn't have.

I snapped out of the hallucination, but couldn't remember any details.

The only real dream I have a vague memory of was talking to Castiel, who seemed a bit stressed out. A few flashes of wandering around a sandy-coloured city.

      by , 08-05-2010 at 07:53 PM
I am in a bathroom and I sense a heavy atmosphere of pinkness which is palpable and seems to be suspended like a blanket between the ceiling and floor.
