    1. 25.06.2012 - Non lucid dreams and LUCID DREAM, plus FA???

      Place: Friend's sofa
Time of getting into bed: 3.02am

Dream 1 - Not sure weather lucid or not.....
I am really unsure about this dream. Could anyone tell me weather it was lucid or not?

In my dream, I am counting my fingers as a RC. I have 5 fingers so figure it must be real, however I don't trust it, and keep counting, over and over. Eventually, I stare at my hands and an extra finger appears. Thinking 'I must be lucid' I then plug my nose and can breathe. However unlike LDs I have had before, I don't think I fully comprehend that I am dreaming. I am in my old bedroom in my mums house, but I think that this is normal, and it is my current bedroom. I climb out of bed and my mum's dog runs into the room, happy to see me. He jumps and licks me, very excited! I fuss him a little bit, give him some cuddles then take him out the room because I am worried he will wake my partner who is sleeping. Outside, I get on my knees and rub the carpet, trying to stabilize myself. The carpet is mint green. The dream has no danger of fading, but that's because it doesn't feel real, it feels like a dream. I now stand and think for a moment, I am unsure what I want to do now I am lucid. I decide to fly, as everyone raves about how good it is. I leap out of the window bravely, which is my old hallway window in my childhood house (long since been bricked up) I plummet towards the concrete floor below, but shut my eyes and say 'I can fly' and I sweep back into the sky just in time. I fly a bit, singing to myself, then dive down a chimney to see what I will find. I enter a 'Xmas' type themed area, with Xmas trees, presents, etc etc. I tell myself that was obvious, of couse I will associate Xmas with chimneys cos that's where santa goes. I started singing again and find my voice is perfect, although the song is cheesy and lame. I wake up, because my partner is moving in the bed next to me. Once I am awake, my partner offers me some cheese. I tell him about my LD and he tells me it's because I ate cheese before bed. I eat some more (it's got breadcrumbs on it) and my best friend is also in bed with us. We laugh for a while about my LD, and then I wake up for real because my friend's cat jumps on my head. Was this a FA?

I actually doubt weather I really knew I was dreaming, or if I was dreaming about myself being lucid, and didn't really know I was not there. If that makes sense. It felt like a regular dream.

Dream 2 - Non Lucid dream

My notes are rather bad. They basically say:

''Water gun fight - fighting someone in a dream... drive by car and squirt?''

      I don't remember anything.

Dream 3 - Non Lucid dream

I am robin from Batman and Robin. I am watching something, or someone. Either training or as part of a job. I go through some sort of test / task, and get put to sleep. I am not struggling, but letting them put me to sleep. The person doing it is an older man, nice to me, although I get the feeling he is going to do something to me while I am asleep that he shouldn't. Possibly sexual. Later on I have awoken, and I am in plain clothes on the london underground tube. I may be part of a secret operation.

      Last Nights Faulse Awakening.

Tonight was the first time I tried my REM Dreamer. I woke up in bed and took it off, I had a look at it and realised that it wasn't working. I now wake-up again but this time it was for real. I had only had a Faulse Awakening the first time that I had woke up but didn't bloody realise did I ((LMFAO))

    4. Inception, lucid in one layer, stupid in rest :D

I woke up in a couch bed at my dads, the hall way near the cearial
closet and the staircase, it was literally crammed into it, I was
frusterated that my WILD technique didn't work again, followed by
some stuff I can't remember, then I had the funniest though.
"What if I was dreaming?" I did a reality check, and everything
started to collapse again, and fade. I grinned and tried to yell
"CLAIRTY NOW" but it only came out as a squeak, so I sang, I can
see clearly now, the rain is gone, I can see all obstials in my
way.." and everything was clear. A few seconds later, my dad woke
me up and I told him about my second long lucid dream, I didn't
do a reality check or anything so that didn't make me lucid again.
that was a 3-4 layered dream.

I just write everything down in a notepad doc, then copy and paste it here. This was my second lucid dream if it counts, but atleast my second sucessful reality check, and a unique dream for me.

    6. 20th June 2012 - Seventh Lucid Dream [Partial WILD & Advanced Task of the Month]

I woke up 4hr30m after originally going to sleep to attempt a WILD as per the current homework task in Sageous' WILD class. I stayed up for approximately 30 minutes writing down my dreams and generally walking about as suggested.

I laid back down to attempt a WILD and repeated my mantra while focusing as much on self-awareness as possible. I think my main issue was that I got a bit too focused on the HI and what I guess was the beginning sensations of sleep paralysis because each time I noticed it I woke myself up too much.

I probably could have gone a bit longer, but I was laying there for about 35 minutes and decided I'd roll over onto my side to try another attempt. At some point I guess I must have just gone to sleep, but it must have somewhat worked because I was partially aware of the fact that I was dreaming when I got into the dream, I didn't even perform any reality checks.

I was back in this test lab style location, the same place I was at in my previous dream of the night, only this time instead of being a test subject for the experiments of this lab I was in a quarantine prison. I was somewhat aware of the fact I was dreaming at this point but the dream is also somewhat hazy. I remember breaking out of the quarantine prison with another person who was with me, and from this point we avoided the guards and made our way to the exit of the test lab.

Upon getting outside, the dream world was somewhat restricted, there was a small patch of grass outside and then the world just cut off in a perfect line and disappeared into a void of many, swirling colours.

I decided I would jump off the edge and as I was falling I repeated to myself "I will fall into a lucid dream"

After a few moments of conscious blackness I open my eyes and see I'm in this room and lucid, there are no ends to the room and it seems to stretch on forever, but it's quite narrow. Both walls are different colours and there are doors on each wall, in more colours. There are lots of objects, kids toys mainly, scattered over the floor in assorted colours also.

I look at the wall and for some reason decide it'd be a good idea to try and "pull" a rainbow from the picture of swirled colour on the wall, but then I stop myself. I remember that I need to do the Task of the Month which is a revelation for me as I never remember to do anything in my lucid dreams.

I remember what Sageous said about forming your dreams, using schemas to build a world around you. I notice one of the kids toys on the floor is a train and I focus on that and try to build a scene around it. I put my hands together (though unsure why, I guess I thought it would help) and close my eyes.

When I open my eyes I'm in another small box area, there are brick walls all around me but there is no roof, I can see the sky above me. There are inactive trains, train carts and coaches on multiple tracks in this around and running through the middle of the area was another track extending into dark tunnels on each end.

I looked into one of the tunnels and a train just kind of "appeared", I move out the way and it speeds by out of the tunnel and quickly disappears into the tunnel at the other end. It seems my subconscious mind had created the most convenient location possible for me to do the Task of the Month, because every 15 seconds or so another train would appear and speed by before disappearing into the tunnel.

I spend a moment and try to figure out how I'm going to jump on top of this train, I focus my mind above the entrance tunnel and try to pull out a ledge from the brick wall that I could stand on, but I couldn't seem to make anything budge. I decide that I could make a jump from one of the nearby stationary trains and onto the speeding train, if I jumped far enough. For some reason just flying up never crossed my mind, which is strange because flying is usually one of the first things I remember to do in my lucid dreams.

Just as I'm preparing to jump I notice the exit tunnel isn't that large and I would probably go smashing into it if I jump on top of the train. I make an attempt at expanding the area so I could fit through, but just like the wall previously it wouldn't budge. I figure that this is a lucid dream and I would just chance it, hoping my subconscious would follow my will to not be smashed to death by a brick wall and expand as I approached it on top of the speeding train.

A few more trains pass and I prepare myself, eventually I leap and just manage to latch on to the train. I climb up and the train appears to be quite thin so I'm laying on top of it clutching on for dear life, as I approach the tunnel I feel the top of the roof scrape my head and my back and then it seemingly disappears, no troll subconscious for today!

I assume I get too excited riding on top of the train as I pass through the tunnel, because next thing I know I'm back in my bed.

I open my eyes and start recalling my lucid, excited that I completed the Task of the Month and couldn't wait to get on the computer and write on DreamViews about it. I look at the time briefly and then pick up my dream journal and read over the dream I had previously that night and as I pick up my pen and begin to write down my lucid, my vision becomes really blurred. I couldn't quite figure out what was going on. I rub my eyes and when I open them again I've seamlessly transferred back into my bed, laying down again.

I'm obviously completely blown away now, I had never experienced such a realistic False Awakening before, I even checked the time and read over my previous dream! When I sat up I had to perform multiple reality checks just to make sure I still wasn't dreaming because I no longer trusted my reality. I even specifically recall reading what was in my dream journal, and when I picked up my actual dream journal the previous dream in there was different to the one in my dream and I wasn't sure which one was real and which wasn't.

All in all, an amazing lucid and I guess a half-successful WILD, maybe.
    7. 06/19/2012 and 06/20/2012 - "Pre-emptive Scare" and Fragments

by , 06-20-2012 at 03:13 PM (Oneironaut Zero: Dreamwalker Chronicles)
      06/19/2012
      Dream Fragment One:

I was in some large, cylindrical chamber, and had just 'acquired' a bad-ass, jet-black racing motorcycle. I spent a little while in this chamber, spinning the tires and riding up and down elevations in the architecture. Later, I had gotten the bike on the night road, and was riding along side some friend of mine, but don't remember the rest.

      Dream Fragment Two (I think):
(I'm pretty sure this was a separate dream, but can't say that I'm certain.) I was with BR, T and maybe one or two other friends. We were riding BMX bikes and jumping some dirt ramps in the woods. At one point, BR jumped off a short ramp and didn't quite clear the gap, but was able to jump his feet off of the pedals with enough time to catch himself on the elevated platform, before falling back down into the gap. A short time afterward, I was going back the other way - jumping from the elevated platform, and using the short ramp as a catch ramp - and caught my front tire on the catch ramp, face-planting in the dirt. I remember getting up and wondering about how strange it was that it didn't hurt, though I wasn't aware enough to become lucid.

      06/20/2012
      Dream Fragment One:

I was splitting two adjacent hotel rooms between myself and about 4 girls, some of whom I recognized - some I didn't. It was just all kinds of fun. Lol. I really don't remember all that much, besides all having a lot of laughs as we moved from room to room, and then sharing a bed with two of them, when it was time to crash. The next morning, something happened to where we found out that there were some people after us, and the 3 of us in the room I was in had to use some secret tunnel to take us from our room and (somehow) across the hall to the other room, so that we wouldn't be there when our pursuers busted in our door.

      Dream Two:
      "Pre-emptive Scare"

One of those strange "in-between" dreams, where you can't tell if you're fully-awake, dreaming, or just having some hypnopompic hallucinations...)
I was lying in bed with my eyes closed, facing the wall, when I heard my mom getting ready for work and talking to my daughter out in the hallway. I then heard someone messing with my doorknob, which is locked. Then, I heard CJ whispering to my mom to unlock the door, so she could come in and scare me while I was sleeping. Somewhat smiling at myself at this, I decided to play possum for a minute, to see if she would really try.

The door quietly creaked open. I could hear it from behind me as I continue to face the wall with my eyes shut. I began wondering if this was really happening, because it was so out of the ordinary (my daughter would have never unlocked my door to come in my room), but the more I questioned it, the clearer I heard her feet softly shuffling across the carpet toward my bed. Still not really sure whether I was really awake or not, I turned really quickly and sort of half-shouted "raaah!" at where I knew she would be.

But she wasn't there, and I was now fully-awake, and staring at an empty room, feeling a little foolish for having tried to scare someone who wasn't there.

(As much as I'm fascinated by those 'threshold-of-waking' tricks that our minds play on us, they do have a way of making you feel stupid when you fall for them. Lol.)

I'm walking around Eastenders. I live here and Derek Branning lives with me . I'm in the street and Derek says something to me and I really don't want to be near him. It's now night time and I go to bed. Derek sleeps in a bed that has white plastic curtains around it, it looks like a hospital cubicle . Derek keeps talking in his sleep, I get out of bed and go and stand by his curtain and listen to what he is saying . ((Dream Skip))
I wake up in my own bed now and feel a small fag in my mouth I think "ohh my god..I could have burnt the whole house down!!!" I then think "I don't remember going to sleep with a fag" the fag is now gone. ((shit I didn't realise this was a false awakening at the time doh!!)) ((Dream Skip))
I'm back in my first dream again. I'm in bed and get out because I have an urgent need for a wee I go over to the cubicals where Derek is sleeping and I sit on the bed and wee ((this is a normal thing in my dream)) Derek now says something about my Daughter L in his sleep and I think "PERV" lol then he says in his sleep "don't tell though Ang" I think "ohhh yeah" he then says "that's right isn't it Ang?" I lean back hiding behind the curtain because I don't want him to know that I've been listening to him, he says again in a sterner voice "isn't it Ang?" I peak round the curtain and he is looking my way, I think "the Bastards just tricking me!" I say back to him "yeah" Derek now says sheepishly "if you wanna know stuff then do dodgy deals for me" . I now wake up in RL desperate for a wee lol.
    9. the awakening at sea

      by , 06-19-2012 at 05:24 PM
i wake up on the floor of a sleeping quarters on a boat, across the small room from me is another person; brown hair, blue eyes, i feel as though i am related to them. this person is just waking up as well. i try to remember my dream and as i do i see a person associated with very negative feeling in my mind, i almost tell the other person in the room my dream but they say "i know what your thinking" before i can say it, the person continues "i had the same dream as you, you saw Archibald.
    10. Lucid Tasks 6/17/12

      by , 06-19-2012 at 12:27 AM
As I climbed the glacier that I used to climb every night, I think hard about the task at hand. Once I reach the top, I am at my school. There is nobody there - which is odd - as I walk around, I hear nothing, see nothing, feel nothing. I come to the quick realization that this is because I did not want to adventure tonight, I simply wanted to complete the tasks at hand. I decide to have some fun and fly to my house (I tried flying with wings for the first time; I prefer no winged flight) in order to fall asleep and dive deeper within my subconscious. When I fall asleep in my bed, I wake up in a very old room. The room seemed like it could be in a castle somewhere, but the technology in the room seemed out of place, since there was a Brownie Camera (the first TOTY) sitting on top of a small wooden desk. Directly in front of me, was a mirror. I could see what I was wearing: A black spy suit, with a hood over my head (very splinter cell-esque) and the camera in my hand. I took a picture of myself looking into the mirror with the camera. Since this is a dream, the camera functioned like a Polaroid camera (I actually have no idea if this is how the actual Brownie Camera functions) and instantly gave me the picture. There was no dimension in the picture, it was simply flattened and very 2-D. The strangest part, however, was the fact that I was not in the picture. The mirror did not show my reflection, but simply what was behind the camera, which was a picture of a knight in a suit of armor. After I put the camera down, I knew it was time to enter my reflection. As I got closer, I could see the outline of my body slowly shake. I put my hand inside of the mirror, and I felt a cool sensation. As I went more and more inside of the mirror, the sensation grew, until I was fully emerged in a cool liquid. When I opened my eyes, I noticed that I was surrounded by water now. I could see the sunlight above, and swam towards it. Around me, there were icebergs and nothing else. I quickly teleported to safety, and awoke from my slumber.
    11. Becoming lucid.

by , 06-18-2012 at 05:50 PM (It's all about Awareness.)
I've woke up this morning, well at least I thought I did. I was in the dream and I did a Reality Check, I did the Nose Pinch Reality Check and I was looking around my surroundings, the room looked pretty ood, but the atmosphere felt great. In the dream I finally knew I was dreaming. So I became lucid but I forgot to stabilize the dream. I suddenly saw some huge big lips with lip stick on my face. I was thinking. WOAH Somethings wrong with this picture, I was too freaked out when I figured out what I've saw. So I have woke up after I noticed this weird experience I have seen after the air conditioner kicked on in my bedroom.

    12. Coconut Water, Brush with Lucidity

      by , 06-18-2012 at 07:10 AM (* The Sandman's Dream Journal o/***)
      Coconut Water

All I remember is that someone was opening a coconut and I was desperate to get some of the water. I could imagine the taste in my dream.

      Brush with Lucidity

I was lucid, but I couldn't see anything. I've had this happen before. I knew I was dreaming, but there was nothing around. I was trying to kiss J., but since nothing was around, it didn't work. I had a false awakening and wondered if I were actually awake.

This is when I need to do my reality checks. GOD why didn't I do one?

I'm going to increase my lucid count because I need to know, but it was totally bogus.

I don't really remember the beginning of my dream, but it began with me, and the characters from an anime expediting on something. I don't really remember. I was tired, so I went to sleep. I subsided into my dreamscape and I knew I was dreaming off the bat, because I began flying all of a sudden. I didn't do much in that dream, except explore, I was lucid. Then I woke up, told the characters that I had a lucid dream. That dream wasn't lucid. Some people died due to causes, such as falling down a really long ladder, drowning, etc. I went to sleep again, and it was also lucid. I woke up, and tried to breathe whilst holding my nose. I was dreaming. I was outside of a house. I went inside and it was a mess. There was a woman there. I guess she was supposed to be my 'mom' in the dream. She got mad at me. There were chairs broken, windows cracked. The reason for this was that there were four girls in there, at the time I wasn't lucid dreaming, who got mad at me. I stormed out of the house and didn't return until that time. I waved my arms. "CLEAN UP!" I shouted, all the mess disappeared. This part I had trouble with. Our neighbor was selling his car for $500. I didn't have $500. I went back inside and tried to spawn $500. No luck. I was waving my hand at a table, shouting "500 DOLLARS!" and it didn't work. I tried to focus, and think very hard. "Spawn 500 dollars." Didn't work. I think after that I woke up. Wait! I woke up again? I had a false awakening. I got up, walked out into the living room, and woke up again. This time, I was awake for sure.

    14. Living Ghosts & Fear Thrown Into Lucidity

      by , 06-17-2012 at 03:15 PM
      Foreward
I have only recently, started recording my dreams, thus far it has only been approximately three weeks. I immediately started recalling at least three dreams per night once I made the conscious choice to do so. I haven't practiced any lucidity techniques; though lucidity is, in part, my primary goal; I have found the process very rewarding and entertaining so far. My dreams are often fantastical or in settings that would seem oddly constructed, or vast and otherworldly, and I have found it odd that it would not be enough for me to realize I was dreaming. I am certain of a couple lucid dreams over the years, but if they truly were while I was aware I was dreaming I always acted them out; only once or twice making brief use of fact I was actually dreaming.

I believe this dream was in the first cycle of REM sleep as it was short and the time in the night would support this.

      The Dream

      I opened my eyes...
I was kneeling inside a dim room, in the far left corner facing forwards. The floors were wooden and there was a large rectangular mirror affixed to the wall in front of me, the mirror just off to my right hand side, it's base sitting roughly half way up the wall. I felt safe, familiar... yet not.
Still kneeling where I had came to, I looked in the dire the mirror and saw my father's reflection. He looked back at me, then it occurred to me I was alone in the room. It was a ghost staring back at me.
But then I realized my father was still alive this couldn't be, and that is when the feeling of panic washed over me.
Simultaneously it occurred to me I was dreaming, but the panic had set in and I could feel my body weakening and the world was growing dark around me. I had felt this feeling before... when I was only a child... I was about to pass out... my body began to fall forwards and the world grew darker still but I was now calm; I was going to hit the wall and there was nothing I could do.
I waited for the impact of my head against the wall, but it never came. Enshrouded and cradled by the darkness I had passed through the wall and awoken lying in my bed staring at the ceiling.

The ceiling above me was the stars, the universe, and I wanted to see it all.
My body started lifting off the bed, up into the ceiling of stars after which I willed myself fast through the cosmos. After, what was probably only a few seconds of travel I decided I wanted to go back to Earth; and experience this amazing feeling of lucidity there. I looked back towards Earth, it was nowhere to be seen; but I knew the direction and slowly my body turned around and started travelling back towards Earth.

This is when I truly awoke in reality, having glimpsed if only for a moment something extraordinary.

This dream occurred just this morning. I'll only remember certain parts of it, and as for the other past dreams, I will post some of those shortly too.

We were on a trip to another school. Walking into the hallways, I thought about, or perhaps discussed, how science accepts some concepts while ignoring others. If religion wants to ignore gravity, thought someone, wouldn't that make their belief still true because they have faith?

Actually, I thought. We only perceive something as real if it is separate from the rest. What about the theory of changing gravitational constant over eons - also similar to the Variable Speed of Light Hypothesis - why does science ignore that? Why is evolution accepted but not the evolution of gravity? What about the reports of spiritual experiences? What was objective and what was qualia?

There was some kind of Super-ego theory, too.

Somewhere hours later, there was a thunderstorm. I woke up in my old bedroom, talking with my "biological mother", who supposedly was different from my mom in real life. It was 12:23 pm, time to get up.

We went on another tour of a school, sometime later in the day at 7:50 am, as the buses were leaving early. We walked inside with a bunch of high school students, me reflecting on the "dreams" I'd just had, writing them down in my all-purpose notebook.

A female friend of mine gave me a piece of cake on a plate. I tried cutting it a few times, but it was silicone, and seemed to disappear a little each time I cut it. I promised to get the cake repaired, but said, "this would be appetizing if it weren't silicone".

I woke up. It was 8:41 am. The previous day, I'd indeed talked to this female friend about shellac, and how it was secreted from the female lac bug, even in candy.
