Lucid Dreams
the dream actually started out lucid i probably did the DEILD but forgot it... so the dream starts out at a soccer field where i have become lucid, there is a road in front of me with some houses behind it. So i kinda like do a really long jump/fly to the road and follow it. It end up leading me to a house where a bunch of girls are. I go inside and the view switches to a view from a window. So i walk up some stairs to the top floor where this one girl is, she was laying on a bed and i approached her. (all the girls looked like dolls) she got up and started talking to me when i remembered the TOTM I immediately back up to find a bowl of fruit right next to me. As fast as i could i took a miniature watermelon from it and took a bite, then i left the house and the view returned to 1st person . Then i saw my friend gavin up the road on my Kona Coiler(DH mtn bike) i yelled at him because i wanted to do that jump/fly thing while he was on the bike and while i was holding it. But he rode off =(. Then i walked up to the road to where the dream started, i found 3 kids from my school and i thought i was sharing a dream with them. I approached them and said "you guys are dreaming" but they did not believe me. So to prove it to them i pointed to a car and said "car explode" about 2 secs later the car explode (YEAH!!!!). About 2 of them beilieved me and i told them to use passive control. Then i walked to the back of the soccer field when i remembered something that i wanted to do. I imagined a hot girl from my school in a nearby shack and began to approach it. My gym teacher was in the way and when i passed him the dream ended
Dream - Lucid - AP Well, I'm back from vacation! It was much-needed . And now, to the dreams! I was outside somewhere. It was nighttime, and I was being chased by these crazy sorority and fraternity members who wanted to kill me. I remember them standing on a bridge. I also remember watching Chris run away; he was wearing the white shirt from one of my LDs. I only saw his back. Then, I somehow knew I was dreaming. I composed myself so I wouldn't just fly away and wake up. I saw someone standing next to me. He looked like he was maybe in his late 30s, and had dark brown hair that was slicked back. I asked him if he would remember this dream. I don't remember his response. I started to look around while walking. I was now inside in some garden. The ground below me was gray rock, and to my left was a creek. Sitting by the entrance to the creek was Santa. I walked into the creek. I said something to Santa and he replied, though I don't remember what. I do remember him saying "ho ho ho" at some point. I kept walking in the creek. I feel like Chris was in front of me the whole time, some distance ahead of me. I looked down, and the water looked like it was dyed red with food coloring. I kept on walking, and heard a Chinese lady start talking. She was to my left on a stage-type thing that jutted out into the creek. She was middle-aged. There were a few people standing around her. She was speaking Chinese. I was still walking down the creek, and I noticed above me all these digital clocks. I would look away and look back to them and they had all changed. Then, to my left, there were all these pictures on the wall. They were Christmas photos, and the people and animals in the pictures were moving, like in Harry Potter. One of them I remember being animal faces (dogs and cats) on human bodies wearing Santa hats. As I exited the creek, I started walking up a winding stone path. I decided to try to make a kitten from one of my previous dreams appear. The kitten was white with pastel spots on her back, and her name was Sparkles. I cradled my arms and concentrated. I looked down, and an infant kitten with her eyes still closed was cradled in my arms. She was white with the pastel spots on her back. I said "Sparkles!". She crawled into my hand, and then I woke up. ~ I was going from one guys house to the next, where they gave me cake and apparently we had sex, though I don't remember ever having sex in the dream. I do remember eating the cake though. At one of the houses I went to, Mary Katherine was with me. The chocolate cake I was eating was very dry. MK was not happy about what I was doing, but she stayed silent. Then, I was at Austin's old apartment. I was in the car with him at some point, and he said to me "Krista, you can't make up your mind. I don't like it." He was referring to the fact that I was hanging out with him, but had a boyfriend. Austin still had feelings for me. I replied "I have a boyfriend.", or something along those lines. We were then inside again, and sitting on the couch. A large black man was there with us. Austin said to him "You should go to the store and get (something, I can't remember), and while you're out, grab some weed." I got up and took some dishes to the sink. The black man was doing the dishes. I left. ~ I woke up at some point this morning, rolled over, and went back to sleep, immediately entering a dream. I got up out of bed, and there was someone standing next to me, though I can't remember who it was. It was very hard for me to keep my eyes open. There was a mirror in front of me, and when I walked over to see my reflection, I could see it, but it was not aligned with my body. I went to the mirror again, and the same thing happened. Then, I had an FA, but I can't quite remember what happened in it. ~ I was working 2 jobs; one at a sports bar and one at a sandwich restaurant. I had to take peoples orders at some other restaurant, go back to the bar, make the drinks, then walk back. I remember taking someone's order and then going to get the drink, then going back. Then, I took a table of 3's orders. There was a white guy with glasses, a black man, and an overweight woman. The black man ordered a lemonade. I asked him if he wanted a spiked lemonade, and he said no. Then, he called it a weird name. The woman ordered a sweet tea, and the white man ordered some crazy complicated drink, that was like 1/3 vodka, and a couple of other things. He used weird names for the measurements. I asked him to write it down for me, and he just stared. I said "Ok, I'll write it down then." He repeated his order as I wrote it down on a napkin with a pencil, and I left. I was walking down the street, thinking about his order. At some point, I was sitting down at a table, talking to a man about my 2 jobs. I told him I did catering at one of them.

Lucid task of the month I'm so happy!! I've been struggling for ages to get a decent lucid dream that actually lasts and I've finally got it. Admittedly it was semi lucid in parts and my recall for the start is a little hazy (hoping more of that will come back to me) but it was still a fantastic experience and my dream control was great. Basically I had a nap this afternoon to catch up some sleep with the intention to DILD if I had the opportunity and it all evolved from there. It was a shock to me at first when I started getting WILD sensations and I really enjoyed them this time, they felt really relaxing and comfortable. After this I found that my brain was in imagery overload and imagining loads of random images. One of them became particularly strong - I had found a way to break a simple sweets/toy machine without getting caught and could take all of the contents. This image was verging on dream-level and I hung it to it for as long as I could. After a while I felt myself coming out of the WILD state so refocused all of my energy on the image mentioned above. Before long the scenery started changing without my conscious effort, I still remember Thomas the Tank Engine in there somewhere. After a while the random colours and imagery had evolved into a dream environment, I didn't even have to bother reality checking etc as I remembered the whole process. I started grounding myself, concentrating on what I could feel, smell and see. Foolishly I tried hearing the outside world too and almost lost my lucidity, but my determination and hand rubbing kept me in the dream. After this I found I could continually do the hand rubbing with an extra set of arms so set off on an exploration. I was at my University and it looked a bit like the BBC news set. I didn't want to hang around here so headed to the back to find some toilets and check out my appearance in the mirrors. (I've heard a lot of rumours regarding this) A group of woman were approaching in front of me and being really slow so I dodged around them, noticing as I did so that one of the women was sick of the group and slipped into a cupboard instead of following them. When I got to the mirror I saw that I had my four arms. I decided to try and remove two of them and make the remaining ones more muscly. I couldn't do this effectively so instead I enticed the extra two out again and grew all four arms to hulk like proportions. Soon after this I remember I had the opportunity to dream fight but my recall around this point is quite hazy. I left the toilets and loads of people were heading upstairs to my "flat" where we were going to party. I didn't want to bother with the stairs as I was lucid so decided to fly straight upwards through the floors. It got pitch black once I tried to do this however and it resulted in my first successful teleportation. I simply pictured the room and *bang* I was transported into it. Once there I was alone and didn't know what to do, and then I realised - Task of the Month! To the best of my knowledge the task was to eat a piece of dream fruit and pick a piece of dream fruit (I now know this to be from the dark side of the moon) so headed out to do both of these things. I visualised an apple a couple of times but it wouldn't appear, so instead tried a different tactic of turning away and visualising it behind me. To my surprise this worked really well and I bit into my new found apple with joy. It tasted quite fizzy but was by far the best apple I've ever had. Next I decided to persue the advanced task incorrectly and found a small plant in the hall way, I decided this was enough and tried to grow some fruit on it. I used the same looking away visualisation technique to get fruit onto the branches of the small plant. The first couple of tries yielded mouldy results but by the third try I grew a perfect lemon. I remember vividly how the plant prickled me as it pulled apart the leaves to get to it. After this I decided to practice again as the lemon was quite small, and grew a perfect sized grape instead. Upon re-entering the main room in the flat I found that loads of people had arrived. I had vague memories of old tasks of the month as I was unsure which ones to do and remembered "kiss a dc". At this point I saw my friend A_ trying to kiss Rolf Harris. Rolf looked really uncomfortable so I went over, hugged him, and pushed Adam away, offering to get them both drinks. After a bit of mingling I realised that I wouldn't be able to recall all of this lucid as it was so long (there's still much I know that I can't recall) and decided to do one last thing. Whilst thinking this I saw Charlie Sheen in the corner with an inflated head - yes, punch Charlie Sheen. I went over, punched him quite hard and he disappeared. I was so confident of my dream control at this point that I created credits. They were displayed as lots of small white letters in computer font making up the shapes of bigger letters on a black background. They read "This was a Josh production. Thankyou for watching." I then used this to make white noise and voluntarily woke up.
WILD Had the day off from school today, so I was able to sleep in. As I started to get into light sleep, sleeping for around twenty minutes at a time (because I just wasn't tired anymore) I started to hear a fuhfufhfuhfuh sound every once in a while. I stayed still and enjoyed the feeling which facinated me. I decided to roll over and felt my self roll out of my body. I then sank far into my bed-which was an amazing feeling- then to finally roll out of my body one final time. At this point I sat up on my bed an watched my clock for a while, which was on my shelf like always, but this time my shelf was in the middle of my room. The clock had around 8 digits that kept changing. I watched for quite a while taking it all in. At this point, I realized that I had a big hat on my head which I finally took off. The Continuous lack of clarity made me decide to look for a pair of glasses, an idea someone mentioned, which i couldnt seem to find. After that, I headed down stairs to chow down on some food. I entered the kitchen which had a little dog running around, and from there opened the pantry door. I then grabbed a packet of pop tarts (which we don't own ha) and headed over to the livingroom to scope things out. I saw some of my moms friends and decided I wanted to see one of them's breasts. I found this weird, because this isn't really like me, but I asked her what she had on her shirt, and then started unbuttoning it to show her what it was (reality checked about 5 times first). At the point that I saw here breasts, I started waking up around this time, but I decided I wouldn't move and try to deild, which makes me glad that I was lucid and likeminded enough to remember. I woke up, and after 5 minutes or so of not moving a muscle I decided I wasn't tired enough to go back to sleep, so here we are. I've had this same experience happen to me before eventhough I didn't record it; it seems as if uncounciously tring to WILD (especially in the morning) is the best way for me. Next time I'll try to remember to rub my hands, listen, and smell ect. Although this is only my second WILD, it really didn't last long, maybe four minutes. If I could just have a lucid dream earlier in the night! Recall:7 Lucidity: 7 Length:3 Control: didn't alter anything Clarity:3 Likemindedness:6 Dreamscape:4 Overall:7

DJ Log: March 11, 2011 – 7:30AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · As I stand on a river bank, a gorilla carries a panda bear out into the river and sets it down in the water. The gorilla then plays with a couple of kinds that are playing in the water. I walk down from the river bank and climb out onto the rocks where several people are hanging out. A guy hands me a bowl and a lighter, but there is nothing in it. I hand it back and tell him that it needs a refill. He looks at me like I'm crazy and says, “Of course it's full. You can see the whole universe in there.” I shake my head and walk away from him. There are a couple of kids playing with a tarantula on one of the rocks. I finally stop and look at my hands, then become lucid. I look back at the water to see that a huge wave is coming up the river. Suddenly, I wake up.
Good morning, everybody. Dream #1 I was in a huge grocery store. At some point I was in the produce section. A boy and girl and possibly one more child, all siblings, stood at some stand displaying apples or some other kind of fruit. One of the children may have been writing on a piece of paper that was resting on the apples. Dream #2 I was in a dim room that was full of people. The place was like a club mixed with a museum. I sat on a really low chair or sofa made of red leather. A bunch of little kids would come up and sit with me. They didn't know me. They just thought I was interesting. I was kind of flattered. A few of the kids were Asian. Their dad was nearby, looking at paintings and talking to people. One of the Asian kids looked like an old person. He had longish hair, but he was balding on top. I and one little boy were now watching what was supposed to be Gentlemen Prefer Blondes on a video screen in the floor. The screen was about the size of a small TV screen. In one scene, Marilyn Monroe walks into a fountain at night. She was apparently naked, and she apparently said "bon appetit," though I did't hear or see any of this. The boy asked me what bon appetit means. I tried to explain to the boy that it didn't mean anything bad. The scene now replayed itself. I thought, there's no way Marilyn Monroe was naked in this movie. They wouldn't have allowed it! Marilyn now walked into the fountain, which was an enormous pool of water at the foot of a staircase before a huge building. She was wearing a thin, body-length dress. The soaked dress became kind of, but not extremely, see-through. Marilyn now swam up to the camera, which was positioned at the side of the huge fountain, and said "bon appetit." Now all kinds of weird blue and green digital drawings blotted onto the screen like crude versions of fireworks. Dream #3 I was walking home at night. But somehow I had lost my way. I was walking through some kind of suburban neighborhood. I would turn down streets and think I was finally in the right place. But then I'd see I was still in the wrong place. At one point I got to a streetcorner which looked exactly like a streetcorner near my house. But it was completely empty, and the buildings were all shut down and featureless, maybe even windowless. I wondered what had happened to my neighborhood. But I suddenly realized this wasn't my neighborhood. The buildings I was looking at were part of some huge hospital. I turned around and walked another way. I was now in the parking lot of some area like a church. I felt like I might not even have been in the right borough. I turned to walk out of the parking lot. I grabbed my phone, which was my old phone, to try to get an idea of where I was. I wondered how I'd gotten so lost. It didn't seem possible. I thought, Maybe I'm dreaming. I didn't think it was possible, but I tested myself anyway. I jumped up into the air to see if I could fly. I began floating a little bit. So I was dreaming. I couldn't control my flight. I was floating backwards. I managed to get floating forward, about 3m off the ground. I was coasting through some suburban neighborhood. I still didn't know where I was. I told myself, You can't see where you are because it's dark. If this is your dream, then make it light. So I made it light outside. But the world suddenly got very blurry. I was now floating down toward something. I thought I had woken from my dream. I floated past one of my co-workers, C, who was giving some self-important lecture about something. I was down in the frozen food section of some grocery store. I was looking at some children's picture book or some piece of paper on which I'd scrawled some stuff. I was still thinking to myself what a disappointment it was that I'd woken from my lucid dream.
March 8, 2011 Lucid Dream 191: Feeding Frenzy Series: The Land of Dreams, Episode 4 DEILD Category - Exploration ....I felt my self fade in and back out of reality and knew my DEILD was successful. My body began spinning around and I noticed I was in the basement of my house. After a short period of spinning/rolling in place, I stopped and stood. Everything was a bit fuzzy, so I performed some quick stabilization techniques. Everything cleared up rather nicely. Through the sliding glass door I could see it was dark outside. I turned away and headed toward the stairs. The wood paneling on the lower half of the walls had names carved into name. There must have been hundreds of them. I read a few, "Ben G, Alastor, Gobbleton, James was here, etc." I didn't waste much time reading them and headed up the stairs. I exited via the front door and it was still dark outside. Pulled over on the side of my street I noticed about 3 school buses, several cop cars, an ambulance, and a firetruck. All the vehicles had their lights on and specialty lights (cop car, ambulance), but there was no sign of life among them. I suddenly remembered some that I wanted to recruit for my dream army. I leapt off my porch and took flight. I floor over the trees and up over top of the nearest mountain. On the other side, I noticed the ground had turned to the sky, so I stopped and landed at the top of the mountain. I decided to dream spin and see if the problem fixed. I just performed a quick 360 (didn't want to spin too much and scramble everything). It worked. There were woods in front of my. I took flight once more and stayed low to the ground, dodging trees and such. As I flew it gradually turned to daylight. I flew upon a small lake or giant pond. I flew lower over the lake/pond and skimmed my hands on the top off the water as I flew. There was a tiny island in the middle of the lake, barely large enough for two people stand. I flew over to it and landed on a large, flat rock that (located on the island). I noticed the lake/pond had suddenly became very swamp-like. The water had a thick layer of green something (algae?) floating on the top. The surrounding trees were no longer pine trees and had all become mangrove trees. There was a vine covered tree in the middle of the island I was standing on. I scaled up the vines to a limb that hung out over the water. I felt around in my pocket until I found a blunt and pulled it out. I performed my usual, invisible lighter trick, and lit the blunt. I smoked and started looking around for some wild life. A few moments later I started to notice several gators were swimming in the area. As I observed them, I began to notice more and more in the area. I now noticed that they all seemed to be swimming in my direction. I wanted to throw something into the water and see if they attacked it. I stood on the branch and began rummaging through the leaves over head. I found an orange and soon after there were oranges everywhere. I started throwing them in the water and the gators were viciously splashing about and attacking the oranges. All of the gators were gathered below me. There must have been 50 of them gathered under my limb and the immediate surrounding area. I started launching oranges as hard as I could aiming for the gators head. When I hit them with the orange, they sunk under water for several moments before resurfacing. I began launching oranges like crazy and it turned into a game like whack-a-mole. The gators were stationary and popped up in and out of the water as I launched oranges at them. This went on for several minutes when I suddenly got an idea. I sat on the branch and wiggled my feet in the air. The gators broke out of their whack-a-gator state and began chomping the air and jumping up a little trying to bite my leg. Once they were all viciously aggressive. I took a deep breathing and jumped off the branch. My arm got caught in the trees vines and I was just hanging there as the gators chomped below me. I struggled for a bit, but couldn't seem to wriggle free. I could feel my actual bodies arm and figured the dream had become unstable. I performed a couple nose pinch RCs (for stabilization purposes) and could feel the vine loosening up. The vine suddenly let go and I dropped right into the middle of the gators. As I hit the water I felt gators slam into me from all angles, but unfortunately, I woke up immediately (I think the rush of emotion/adrenaline kicked me from the dream). I was a little disappointed that I didn't keep my cool, but I did just jump into the middle of 50 hungry gators . Series Details In the dream series, "The Land of Dreams," I explore the depths of my subconscious. With no real goals in mind, I explore the creative lands and characters that come before me. Who will I meet? Where will I go? What exactly does it mean to be KingYoshi? To find out, stay tuned for more entries to the series!

I am in some sort of group in a school (highschool?). One guy, two girls, and me. The two girls are complaining about being "slightly too fat." We are, as a group, using little push vacuums (floor sweepers?) on the table we are at. No idea why. It is now time to go to school lunch. We go downstairs into the cafeteria. I am waiting in line. I listen to "In the Hall of the Mountain King" in my head. It is an FM synth chiptune version. Like this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bZNvMJjKSis , but with instrument quality like this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBiIr-bFiKM. I watched the second video the day before, but searched for the first today to see if I could find one. The song playing on the loudspeaker ends and starts up with the same song I have in my head. I find that to be a strange coincidence. I think of posts I have read on dreamviews that say "Well this can't be happening, I must be dreaming!" I find it silly to me, but I do a reality check, the nose plug, anyways. I can feel my breath flowing through my nose. I try it again. I lose my visuals I remember the thick steak fries in the little paper thing next to me on the stand. I imagine grabbing them and stuffing them into my mouth. I try to imagine the thick potatoey texture and flavor. I also lick some sort of meat covered in barbecue sauce. I have my visuals. I run upstairs. I don't remember why. It's not quite as vivid as I would like it to be, nor am I thinking as clearly as I could be. It's dark upstairs. After fiddling with the light switch, it is dim. I decide to try fireballs from my hand. I try forcefully opening my hands and imagining fireballs. It keeps failing. I am eventually pulled out of the dream into waking life.
I was in the car with my dad driving. We were on a one way road and had to stop at an intersection. He pulled around the cars in front of us and parked the car in front of a huge, bright screen mounted to the curb. The front of the car bumped the underside of the screen. I looked up at the screen itself, and my vision warped. I was in my bedroom on the computer. Like some kind of background train of logic slipped into place, I suddenly realized I was dreaming. I laughed at the strange sequence of events… What did my computer have to do with my dad driving around? I wondered how long I had been dreaming. Not very long, I realized. I immediately felt the dream fading as it always does, but I transformed myself into a wolf to put pressure on my hands and feet. I felt that would help. After a brief jog through a forest, I started flying around the world in one frame of reference. In the bedroom, I was gently floating through the air. I laughed when I saw what I was doing in the room. This was the dumbest stabilization technique I’d ever come up with. I turned back into a human. I had brief sexual thoughts, but I reminded myself not to pursue them this time. I would learn much more from experimenting with the dream state. I drifted down to a sitting position and rubbed my hands together. I brought them into view and saw that I was wearing black leather gloves. That explained why my skin felt so leathery. I pulled the gloves off and tried rubbing my hands again. It worked. The skin on my hands was so finely detailed afterward… I noticed every little stretch in the skin. I reminded myself not to get lost staring into them. I pinched myself in an attempt to inflict minor pain. I wanted to ground myself further in the dream. My hand just felt numb. I tried my arm, too – also numb. Whatever, I thought, at least pain wouldn’t distract me. As soon as I started toward the door, things became fuzzy and blacked out. I patiently waited without mental comment. “Furley?” I heard my mom calling Austin from downstairs – that was her nickname for him around the house when we were younger. Her voice caused me to lose a little lucidity for a moment. Time to get up, I thought… Wait! My mom wouldn’t be in my dorm room, I reasoned. Vision rapidly came back, and my lucidity was back to where it had been before. I “respawned” at my computer desk after a few moments. Chelsea walked into the room and handed me a soft drink from a fast food restaurant. About half of the drink remained. “Are you done with that?” I asked, taking it from her. I wanted to try Coca Cola in a dream. I haven’t had it in a long, long time in waking life because it’s so acidic. The taste was convincing, and getting a drink was refreshing since my throat was so dry. I checked my hands… No gloves. Good! I noticed I was really warm because I was wearing my hoodie. I took that off and tossed it on the floor. Keeping myself warm wasn’t at all necessary… If anything, staying cold would keep me alert. Chelsea gave me a weird look when I pushed the chair back. She had been talking to me about something, but I wasn’t listening. I felt a little guilty, but it didn’t seem like it was that important. If it had been, I wouldn’t have been able to ignore it. “Come with me…” I said. I grabbed her hand and led her out of the room. We went down a flight of stairs. I recognized our old house in Texas from the general layout, so I knew where to expect the front door. It was wide open. Clearly, I was on the right path. “Where are we going?” Chelsea asked. I figured I could tell her she was a dream character, or I could let her see that we were in a dream for herself. I chose the latter option. “Don’t worry about that. We’ll see.” I wasn’t sure myself. When we reached the door, I saw that it was raining. I smiled. I love rainstorms. “You don’t need shoes,” I told her, urging her out of the house even though she was barefoot. I didn’t notice I was wearing socks until I stepped onto the wet driveway. Just intending for them to go away was difficult, but I knew it would be better if I could feel the cold driveway under my feet. Chelsea was hanging back by the door to avoid going into the rain. “What’s wrong? Come on!” “We do need shoes,” she objected. Sighing, I grabbed her arm and pulled her outside. “Wait!” she objected again. “We have to close the door!” “There’s no one else in that house,” I laughed. “Stop worrying. Look at all of this!” Where there should have been houses, the terrain was just flat. It was nostalgic in ways – the same trees were there – but with all the buildings missing, it was so foreign. As we walked into the rain, the dream rapidly faded. I found myself in my computer chair in my dorm room. I relaxed in the chair, attempting to go back to sleep. I wasn’t aware that this was a false awakening. A program called Dream Apache tracked my dreams from the previous night. It even listed the durations of each dream so I could determine the order in which I had them. I waited almost a full minute (53 seconds) in this relaxed state before my head seemed to swell. Was this what it was like to cross the threshold, I wondered? Tunnel vision went to darkness, eclipsing the blinking message on the screen that said “DREAM ACTIVE.” The program even told me where my dream body had gone, but I didn’t pay attention to that. I felt hands grip my ankles. Interesting… I was dreaming again for sure. The hands were soft, but the force behind them was strong. I felt a forward tug. I was being pulled somewhere. The rest has been omitted.
Before bed I took 800mg of valerian and 0.25mg of melatonin. Fragments from early REM period I am walking around the halls of my university. There are a lot of people in the halls with me. I believe that I am on my way to class... ... I am part of Uru again. There is a linking book somewhere, I think... ... I am looking at a computer screen. There is a picture of something entitled "dreamsign". It looks like the logo for one of the filmmaking companies. The kind of Celtic looking thing. As I look at it, it looks more like the Yeesha symbol from Uru... Going to my Grandparents' I am on my way to visit my Grandparents' house. There seems to be a time constraint on this, and my mother and I are trying to figure out the best way for me to get there. In the end, we decide that I will drive part way there, and when I am almost to their house to park the car and take a ferry across a small lake along the way. Somehow I think that this will be cost effective and possibly save time. I will call and schedule the ferry while I am driving. Former Workplace My mother and I are at my former workplace (a toy store) looking for a specific toy. We look in a few places for this thing (some kind of military hovercraft) but can't find quite what we are looking for. Then I remember that it is probably in the action figure section. I take her over to that area, but when we get there we see that all but one of the shelves are missing. I ask one of the current stockers what happened to the other shelves. He doesn't know (he is new). I ask another employee, but he doesn't know either. Lucid at the Fair I am walking down the road in the middle of our county fair. It is late in the season, and there are not many people visiting. Many of the stands are closing up for the year, and I look as I walk for familiar games and people. I am in my uniform (as though I were there to staff the public relations booth as I did when I was a park ranger). I am not there as a park ranger, but I have some other reason to go to the fairs. I think how nice it is that I get to go back to these old familiar places, and walk down the road feeling at ease. I try to think of why I am at the fair. I can't exactly remember. Then I remember that being at the fair is a dreamsign. I stop walking, and turn to look behind me. Things look OK, but I am beginning to realize that I am dreaming. I try to justify my being at the fair, but I can't. "So this is a dream," I say. I look up at a concession stand to my right. As I do, I become aware that the dream is losing realism. I am in danger of losing the dream, and consider either preparing for a DEILD or hoping to WILD when I wake up. Then I decide to try my Dream Posession technique to stabilize it, and attempt to summon Monk. I am vaguely aware of somebody's presence at my side, and try to take posession of their body. This is partly sucessful, and I blink a few times to try to get the vision clear. I decide to fly, hoping this will further put me in the dream. I float up into the air, and then come down through the top of the concession stand. There is a woman working in there. She is not overly beautiful, but she is pleasing to look at. I decide to kiss her, and do so. Around here I loose the dream. Archaeology I am with one of my colleagues at an archeological excavation. We are back at a rockshelter where we were two years ago, and are at first digging through snow. My colleague, Dr. B., points to a birdbath in the middle of a field and tells me how much he dislikes it. Then he describes a statue that used to sit in it, and how much he hated that. I think the birdbath is kind of attractive, and like the idea of the statue. We continue digging through the snow. We try not to make too many footprints in it, but Dr. B. seems to be making a lot. Now the snow is moss, and we are removing layers of it. Now we are no longer excavating, but pulling weeds. And now we are digging through dirt looking for trash. There is a lot of trash in the dirt, and we move down a line sorting through rubbish to throw away. I come across a pile of items, with some electronic equipment and stacks of old records. I am happy with this find, since I get to keep whatever I come across.
Thursday 10th March 2011 I struggled to open my eyes; all I could manage was to open my left eye slightly. I slowly raised my hand to verify I was dreaming with a reality check. My hand was see-through. So it was safe to say I was definitely dreaming. I tried to open my other eye, but no matter how hard I tried, I just couldn't. I then woke up. [It's so frustrating! I can never open my eyes when I go into a lucid.]
3-5-11 I was living in an old friends house, but instead of him or his family living there it was me and my current roommate. He was asleep upstairs and me and some friends were in the basement just hanging out drinking a bit. I decided why are we drinking so little let's really get wasted like never before. We still had to keep quiet though because my roomate was upstairs and I didn't want to piss him off. After awhile of drinking and chatting I started tripping. Either one of my friends turned into an orange or an orange took human form and I was talking to it. I thought to myself this alcohol doesn't usually make me like this. I sort of knew it was a dream, but just sort of went along with it, what the hell. There was a fridge down there and it was stocked full of food that seemed so delicious. It was my roommates but I ate it anyway feeling kind of bad about it. I figured it's just a dream he'll never know. The food was great and I really ate a lot. A bunch of people came downstairs and wanted to join us. I said we should take it outside so not to wake the person i live with. So we did. It was daytime when it should have been night. I don't remember much of what occurred outside. Next thing we are back in the basement. David Spade and a couple other people come down and join the party which I thought was really cool. I'm not a Spade fan or anything, but thought it was so cool to meet him. He was a really normal dude actually. After I woke up I felt sorry for the friends I was with at the party because they will have no waking recollection of meeting David Spade. lol
3-5-11 Chilling at a friends house with a bunch of people who are also coworkers and friends of mine 5 total including myself. We were doing some fun things, but I don't remember until bad stuff started happening. It was nighttime and we were standing in the house with lights out looking out a large window when we saw a car pull up the long driveway. We all knew it was bad news, but went along with it anyways. The guy came up to the door and we let him in. said he needed a place to stay or something like that. He had a bag and said he had something to give us. He pulled out a gun, not sure what he was looking to gain or steal from us but w/e. Next thing I remember is we're in the back yard and all of them are hostage. I am out probably 50 meters just acting dead for some reason. I hear about a hundred gunshots and that must be what tipped me off it was a dream. Realizing it was a dream and just lying in the grass I figured I may as well do something. So I ran up to the guy and just sort of laid on top of him. I got shot must have been 10 times in the process, but I considered myself a hero anyways. He escaped not in his car, but on his bike, but it was ok now because he was gone and I saved the day. I had a false awakening in the hospital with gunshot wounds and the thought in my head that I had somehow saved the day. I had the suspicion that it was a dream. So I just got up and instead of doing lucid dream stuff just went on with life. People weren't as impressed as I had hoped they would be I think. I woke up and at random times through the day wondered if that actually happened.
I still have faint memories of many dreams from ages 5 until my current dreams at age 20. So since I'm starting this dream journal I'm going to try to conjure up some memories. I didn't realize it until several years ago, but I've always sort of been a lucid dreamer, just not well practiced. I had many nightmares growing up which I became lucid in and instead of realizing I could change what was happening in the dream world I would either just blink and wake up or continue with the dream which never really ended well. I would often wake up unable to move and with mild visual and auditory hallucinations still happening around me which I now realize was some sort of sleep paralysis. Haven't had that since I was 13 or so though. One of my most unpleasant dreams I had recurring from my earliest years until I was probably 11 I always knew was a dream, but had no control and was just as terrifying as if it were real. Basically the gist of it or all I remember is being uncontrollably drawn down to my (unfinished all cement(walls and floors)) basement even knowing it was sure doom. Turning the corner into the second room I got sucked into the corner into some form of the fetal position and couldn't breathe. In an instant I see some sort of figure by the water heater and in the same moment the force is right there on me in an evil way and I woke up. Another recurring dream i remember less about was also basically lucid, but again uncontrolled by me. I float around the house I lived quite rapidly trying to get away from something that is following me and I wake up in terror. I used to know all the details of this one, but it's been awhile. I remember it had a dark purplish-red filter and was 1st and 3rd person at the same time. I remember other dreams too, but so vaguely now that it might not be worth posting yet.
2 years now since I left the town where I grew up and I still have dreams there on a regular basis. There is a definite positive though - It is often an obvious dream sign and a way to get lucid. I've been to that town 5 days in the last 2 years so I've trained my brain to realize if I'm there then it's a 99% chance of a dream. Still I can't always get lucid there. The brain has clever tricks to make you think there's a reason for your presence. The reason I'm really writing this isn't because of any specific dream, but just a general note to myself that if I am ever in a place I no longer live chances are I am dreaming. It's a good rule of thumb for others to follow as well. whenever you leave town or go to a different location increase reality check frequency.
