    1. Dreams in my hometown

      by , 03-10-2011 at 08:14 AM (JCStanton117 - My Dreams)
2 years now since I left the town where I grew up and I still have dreams there on a regular basis. There is a definite positive though - It is often an obvious dream sign and a way to get lucid. I've been to that town 5 days in the last 2 years so I've trained my brain to realize if I'm there then it's a 99% chance of a dream.

Still I can't always get lucid there. The brain has clever tricks to make you think there's a reason for your presence. The reason I'm really writing this isn't because of any specific dream, but just a general note to myself that if I am ever in a place I no longer live chances are I am dreaming. It's a good rule of thumb for others to follow as well. whenever you leave town or go to a different location increase reality check frequency.

I completed the basic task although very poorly.

I slip in and out of dreams all morning and become lucid when I realize a really attractice women I don't know is swimming in a pool in my backyard. I begin walking to my fridge to compelte the b-TotM but lose vision. I remain still and the dream reforms.

I again start walking to the house and the fridge and out of the corner of my eye I see a small garden behind the pool sort of. I find an apple growing on a vine and some carrots. I take a bite of the apple and its not juicy or very good. It is real dry. I wake up

by , 03-10-2011 at 12:16 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
Plans: Right now my primary plan is to recall some dreams since it has been quite a while since I have done so. I also have plans to meet up with MoSh in a Hogwarts dream, and there are many more tasks on my list that I won't bother listing here. But my main goal is to remember some dreams.

      Window Stealing
I am at a swap meet with Tigress, and we are just browsing the stalls looking for something interesting. I have it in the back of my mind that I should steal something before we leave the swap meet. It doesn't have to be much, but I have to steal something. So as Tigress and I browse the stalls I am on the lookout for something I can easily steal. I would also like it to be something I want, but I won't be picky.

We leave one of the stalls and it turns out Tigress has already stolen something. She stole a golden bracelet with green gems in it. Pretty. I wonder if the gems are real or if she just stole a cheap piece of costume jewelry. Either way it's pretty. I go back to the jewelry store and look around. I find a golden ring that is on a stand not visible from the checkout. I take it and try it on as if interested, then when I see no one is looking, I slip it into my pocket. I wonder if there are cameras. No matter as long as I leave quickly. Outside, Tigress hands me a drink. She says it's really good, but drink it slow. If I drink it too fast it is poison, but taken slow, the body can take care of it. It is really good, but I make myself sip it. I look at the bottle and see it is 98 proof alcohol! I know I have never had any alcohol that strong before… no wonder I am feeling tipsy. I know Tigress and I have to catch a plane. Well now that neither of us can drive, we'll have to catch a cab.

      Aliens on an Alien World
I am viewing this dream as if I am not actually in it, more like I am watching a television show. I am looking at a living room, the room looks pretty normal, but the family in it are not human. They are clearly an alien race, their skin is a bright color orange, their eyes look different… the eyes look quite strange, rather reptilian.

Other than that it looks like a normal family. A mother and father, an older boy, a younger girl, and a baby. They are all arguing with the older boy, who looks to be in his teens if I can judge by human ages, they are accusing him of being a drug addict. He is drinking a glass of milk. That is the drug. He gets really angry whenever someone tries to take it away from him and hisses to announce his discontent. While they are arguing, more aliens come into the room. These look much like the first ones, but their skin is blue. The visitor tells the other aliens to back off of the boy, he has something better. He hands the boy a bottle, which the boy skeptically takes a drink of. He clearly likes the new drink and tosses away the milk. He seems to no longer crave the milk. The visitor says the new drink will cure the addiction. It works so well because the replacement has a small amount of milk in it to heap wean the boy off.

      The Puppets of the Puppets
I am in what looks like a pretty normal looking city, or at least I don't notice anything strange about it right away. Everyone is wandering around and going about their normal business, though I am not sure what I am doing there. I curse my own memory for not remembering what I am doing, what's happening? Early Alzheimer's? That would suck giant mutant monkey balls! It seems people are pushing each other around and being especially rude about now. Some asshole pushes me out of the way and tells me to get back to work. Work on what? I see a paper on the ground and pick it up. The writing says, "OBEY" in big black letters. I throw it in a trash can. I find more papers that say similar things. "Obey." "Conform." "Assimilate." "Comply." Um… what the hell is going on? It is reminding me of an old 'B' movie about aliens controlling the human population, the movie was called "They Live" and the aliens and the truth could be seen with special sunglasses. The aliens looked like zombies.

Well, in the movie, the truth could be seen with sunglasses, so I snag a pair off of a shelf and put them on. Nothing changes. Well, I guess it wouldn't be just any pair. I find one in the trash and put it on. Now I see the aliens. They don't look like zombies, but like puppet masters. You can see them controlling people with strings. And they are also being controlled by strings by reptilian aliens. I use Liberate on everyone in the area, freeing both the people and the puppet masters at the same time. The reptilian aliens go on a killing spree. I multiply myself using the Divide song by disturbed and fight off the aliens using an acid that proves pretty harmless to humans (it might create a slight skin irritation) but is deadly to the aliens. After being sprayed with the acid they really do look like the aliens in "They Live" except they are also dead.

      A Weight Loss Dream
I am in bed, but I don't have much room. I try to roll over but I just roll out of bed and onto the floor with a thud. I am glad I didn't hurt myself as much as I thought I would. I look back on the bed, and it turns out I was sharing the bed with my mother for some reason. She is sprawled out and taking the entire bed. Since she is quite overweight, this leaves absolutely no room for me. I go to the living room to watch television. My mom comes in and says she's sorry for hogging the bed, so she got me a present. She takes out this really nice shirt and says it's mine.

I can tell right away it's too small for me. I tell her that. She says to try it on first. I try it on and I look at myself in the mirror. It fits perfectly! Not because it's larger than I thought, but I am smaller than I thought! My stomach is almost flat! My weight loss has really paid off! I am so happy. I am in the bathroom looking at myself, so I sit on the toilet to take care of business. For some reason the thing won't stop flushing, and each time it does, cold water sprays my bottom.

Harry Potter and the Demon Parasite
I am at Hogwarts, and we are all preparing to start on the next challenge of the Tri-School tournament. There is only one problem going on… Harry Potter has gone stark raving mad. He is yelling and spitting curses at everyone in the vacinity, and it is clear that he also wants to claw someone's eyes out. His current target is Ron. I have seen Harry get mad at Ron before, but this is ridiculous! Hermione tries to get him to back off, and Harry attacks her, grabbing her hair and violently pulling at it. MoSh makes Harry let go of Hermione, then Harry goes for MoSh's eyes. MoSh uses astral tentacles to hold Harry at a safe distance from everyone. Professor Moody, who I know to be a fake, is there trying to use spells on Harry. I wonder if that is the cause. It is not. Moody is actually trying to calm Harry down, but his attempts are all epic fails. Harry is now trying to claw at Moody and succeeds in grabbing Moody's magical eye, and pulling it out. A couple of people watching that back off a couple paces with a collective, "Eeewww…" MoSh is saying that Harry has a parasite, and Moody is just pissing it off. Moody says that's absurd. I go over to them, and MoSh and I manage to hold Harry and take the parasite off. Harry passes out, and is taken to the hospital wing. I take the parasite and look at it.

What happened that Harry picked up this parasite? I focus on finding that out. I get images right away. Draco, I see Draco with the parasite, placing it on Harry's back as he walked by and made a stupid remark. This annoys me. I leave the scene and go to find Draco, taking the parasite with me. I find Draco and take him to a place where I can talk to him alone, where I pull out the parasite and ask what he know about it. He says nothing. I add that liars really piss me off, so try that one again. He says he knows nothing about it… it looks like a common worm. I say ok, that means it's harmless. I walk past Draco and put it on his neck. He freaks out and pulls it off, throwing it on the ground, and stomping on it. So it's not harmless, I say. I ask where he got it. He says he found it, I can tell he is lying. I tell him to try that one again. He says nothing, he appears afraid of whoever gave it to him. The image I get is of a creature hidden in the darkness of the forbidden forest. I tell him I will find that creature, and take care of that, but I am getting sick and fucking tired of all this cheating!

      Portal to Doom
I am in a long hallway with dim lighting. I hear strange growling and snarling all around me, it seems I am in a video game. I look around the place to see what is going on, am I in a virtual reality setup? Nope. I'm dreaming! I do a RC and confirm that. I am in a game of Doom, but it is in my dream. I remember I had intended to do at least one of the tasks for the LPTC. I decide to go ahead with the Doom task I posted. I try to remember that… I need to find the portal and stop the flow of creatures from the other dimensions. So I start exploring the passages. I am being attacked almost constantly.

I defend myself using my Witchblade sword and energy blasts. I fight my way through the halls, I find a blue key card. But when I finally find a blue door it has been blasted down from the other side. I thought that wasn't supposed to be possible… I go through the door into a large room with a portal in the middle of the room. It looks a lot like a stargate. It is being kept open by an energy field coming from the surrounding equipment. So I blast the equipment, and that makes the portal also collapse. I am now blocked from the only exit. There are monsters there, all trying to get into the portal room. I fire a single energy blast into the group and chaos breaks out. It seems a zombie thought it had been attacked by an imp… so the zombie attacks back. It is so crowded that the zombie hits a large floating eyeball, which attacks the imp (who was the closest creature)… and soon chaos breaks out as the enemies all start fighting each other.

While the fighting is going on I fight my way through the group without anyone even realizing that I'm not one of them. There are a few more monsters in the halls, but no more huge groups. The keys are scattered, there are many doors of each color… It seems totally random as to where I find the keys and the doors. I finally find all the keys and unlock the doors so I can get out of the passages.

      Ghost Hunters
I am in a house of some kind, I am there with Tigress and a couple of guides I don't recognize. We are looking through the place, I am looking to see if I can find evidence of real hauntings. I have a camera and I am taking pictures of everything, making sure to take pictures in sequences so I can compare the sequences later. I can sense that there is something out there, but I can't see anything. I am hoping I will be able to find something on the pictures I am taking. The house seems to be getting creepier as we go up to the higher levels, which seems odd to me, but I notice that the presences I sense seem more malevolent as we go farther up. Something up there is evil… or at least nasty… and it is downright cranky.

We reach the top floor and the feeling of hostility is downright palpable. There is something up there that is definitely not friendly. Tigress wants to get out of the place, and I can't say I blame her. But for some reason, even though I understand the desire to leave, I am not afraid… I am excited. With a presence this powerful I am sure to be able to see something on my pictures. As Tigress is wanting to leave the room I take a rapid series of photos all around the attic, which is where the presence feels strongest. I take photos until Tigress finally pulls me from the room, I hope I got enough to get the proof I want. I figure that with photo manipulation it might not serve as proof to anyone else, but it will be proof to me, which is what I really want. So now I go with Tigress and I am looking for an exit so we can both find our way out of this old haunted place.
    4. Strange Church Activity, Stairs, and a Concert

by , 03-09-2011 at 09:55 PM (The Lab Notebook)
Awake, Non-lucid, Lucid, [Commentary made while awake]

I'm at my new church. The sanctuary is big and sort of round [more so than it is in reality]. I'm sitting on a pew near the front of the room, from which I can see both the altar and the center of the room. In the center of the room is an elevated circle with six thick, round columns spaced evenly around its outer edge. Beyond the outer edge of the circle, centered in the back of the room just in front of the main doors, is a lectern. I recognize it as our regular lectern, even though it and all the columns are festooned with decorative constructs made out of LEGO toys. A sort of mesh made of bright orange axles and connectors from a LEGO set hangs down a little way over the sides of the top of the lectern. The columns are all similarly decorated. The woman standing at the back of the room places a LEGO construct that she refers to as her “crown of thorns” on top of one of the columns. This causes all the columns to start moving vertically, changing their relative heights. I think about how cool all this is, especially the hydraulic-powered columns.

The sanctuary is filled with people. We're there for the Children's Stations of the Cross
[an event that actually is coming up in just a few weeks]. There are lots of kids there, going through the stations in small groups. A group of kids walks by in front of my pew, and I hear one of the girls in it complain that there aren't enough girls in her group. I decide to join the group so that there will be more girls in it. [I was my adult self in this dream, but no one took any particular notice of me.]

I follow the group to the back of the room, out the main doors, and into the narthex. We stop at the location of the plaque designating the first station, which is hanging on the wall between the narthex and the sanctuary, just to the right of the main doors to the sanctuary. Another adult woman is operating this first station. She's ready for us with a toy that someone at the church put together to make Stations of the Cross more interactive and engaging: a pretend PASIV device. Inside the case, I see a piece of equipment from Verizon's network, a white metal rectangular box with the Verizon logo on top. I know that the box contains telephone cables on coils that allow them to be pulled out and then retracted. You can pull out the cables through holes in the side of the box, and that's what the woman does. The plastic jacks on the ends of the cables plug into matching ports on the bracelets that the kids and I are all wearing. The jacks and ports are the same size and shape as the ones used for the LEGO NXT robots and their sensors, I note. [The cables, however, are satiny silver-gray in color, not black like in real life.]

When all of us are plugged in by our bracelets and the device is turned on, the bracelets start pulsating, contracting and expanding in a way meant to simulate the sensation of an increasing heart rate. The experience is intended to help us identify and empathize with someone who is in mortal terror. While doing this, we all lie down on the tile floor and pretend to be asleep, because we know that this is what we're supposed to do when playing with a pretend dream-sharing device. [When I woke up and recalled all this, I thought it was hilarious both that my brain had created this scenario directly inspired by Inception, and that I had never realized that I was dreaming.]

After this, I walk through the parish hall [both the narthex and the parish hall are exactly like the ones at St. Mark's in Upland] and pick up some snacks. There seems to be some kind of meeting going on in one part of the room.

[Next cycle.] I'm walking on a wet, slippery stone-and-concrete courtyard in the middle of some old buildings with lots of dark-brown wood. The ground is wet because it has been raining; it's a gray, overcast day. I recognize this as an unfamiliar place and realize that I'm dreaming. This no longer shocks or startles me. I immediately start touching all the walls and handrails I pass, even crouching down at one point to lick up some of the water in one of the rain puddles. All of these actions evoke the corresponding sensations accurately.

I see a flight of wooden stairs leading up from the ground, attached to the outside of one of the buildings. I think, I wonder if I can turn these into an infinite loop. So I start climbing them, keeping track of how many segments of stairs separated by 90-degree turns I've climbed, counting them aloud. “One... two... three... now, when I get to the end of the next one, I should be back where I started from, right?” I say. When I get to the end of the fourth segment, though, I'm not back where I started from. The stairway just ends in a level, wooden, elevated walkway leading off to the right. “Damn you, astrophysics!” I exclaim aloud, expressing my disappointment that the normal laws of reality have prevailed despite this being a dream.
[Why “astrophysics,” I have no idea.] I quickly shrug it off and continue exploring, walking along the walkway.

The walkway leads to the top of some steep, grassy hills. I crouch down near the top of one of them. I'm a little cold, so I try to summon a blanket to wrap around myself by thinking about one. Then I remember, No, just consciously, deliberately concentrating on it like that doesn't work. You have to know and expect that it will be there. I don't proceed to do this, though.

On top of one of the hills
[the same one? A different one? I'm not sure], there is a concert stage with an amplifier sitting in the grass in front of it, to stage right. There's supposed to be a concert going on, but it's just beginning the process of being canceled. A rock band is on stage, but they aren't playing; they seem to be telling the audience at the bottom of the hill that there's no show to see, and some of the audience is beginning to wander away. They're canceling the show because the amplifier isn't working. I open up the top of the amplifier and find an AAA battery sitting half out of its battery cradle, which is itself only partially wired up to the rest of the amp. I reconnect all the wires and push the battery back into the cradle, and then the amp works. The band un-cancels the show and starts playing, and the audience stays and watches. I walk down the hill to join the audience. I notice that I'm now wearing the same two layers of coats that I often wear in real life. The dream starts to fade. Then I woke up.
    5. Jumbled Dreams

by , 03-09-2011 at 06:52 PM (The Labrynth of the Mind)
Took 0.5 mg of melatonin before bed. Did a visualization MILD, visualizing my University.

      Lucid Fragment

I am walking down the street near my university when I discover that I'm dreaming. I am able to change aspects of the landscape as I have visualized myself doing while awake.

      Beautiful Women (fragment)

I am once again walking to class at the university. As I cut across a parking lot, a bunch of beautiful women show up. They are either African or African American, and look like models. I walk along with them, or they walk along with me, or something. Maybe this is even part of the above dream, but I can't remember.

      Kids in Danger

I am in my own home (which also seems to be another place, maybe my old church). There are a bunch of kids with me. There is some kind of adventure going on, like a Boxcar Children story, or Tom Sawyer. I am a kid in this dream, named Taylor, or Huck, or Oliver or something like that. The other kids are out in our main living room, and there are bad guys outside. There is an adult with us, who leaves to do something that is supposedly important. I don't trust this guy.

Upon leaving us kids alone, the man says "keep watching out this window. Don't go anywhere or do anything, just keep watching. If they come, this is the window they will come through."

I know that there is a window upstairs that the villains may come through. I also have a feeling that the man is in with the bad guys. I decide to go watch out the back window. On the way, I stop in the closet to get a gun to take with me. I look in the closet, and see my 20 gauge and my father's 12 gauge shotgun. We have a couple of .22 handguns in there, but the shotguns are more powerful. I pick up my father's shotgun, and look for some ammunition. There is a box of shells on a kind of wooden ledge above the guns, but they seem to be fishing lures. I root through and find some shells I think will work, and drop them into the shotgun.

I run back to the back door (also the front door of my RL home) with my gun. I look out the window, and apparently see something. I dash out the front door, snapping the shotgun shut. Then I run a little ways, in pursuit of the bad guys.

While I'm running, I notice the shotgun seems awkward to carry. I look down, and see that it has more than the one barrell it usually has. As I look, I first count 2, then 4, and finally 6 or 8 barrells. Not only that, there are two triggers.

"How strange," I say to myself. "I know that this gun only has one barrell. What could be going on?" Immediately the thought comes to my mind
"I must be dreaming. There's no other logical explanation."

I look around. Everything seems so real, it doesn't seem possible that I am dreaming. But there is no other explanation for the gun, and I know that I often think my dreams seem real. I turn around and head back for the house. "I'm dreaming," I say again, trying to grasp the idea. It just seems so real.

On my way back to the house, the plot and the realism overcome my realization that this is a dream, and I loose lucidity again.

      Private Eye

I am a private detective. I have an office in a large city, which is also my current university, which is also my former university. Inside this office, you can walk into a sort of screen which hides your image from the outside. While I am hidden like this, my partner goes out onto the front porch of our office with a beautiful woman. I know the woman is trouble, but it's his decision. I watch from the inside, hidden behind this screen, while the woman shoots my partner. Then she shoots a few witnesses.

"We'd better shoot all the witnesses," her accomplice says.
"I don't see anyboy else around," she says, "nobody is in the building. Come on, let's get out of here."

I pick up my gun, and dash out the front door after them. They travel down the road, and turn left. I follow. They go down an alley, and I pull out my gun to be ready in case I come across them suddenly. Looking down the alley, I can see a house at the end that they are headed towars. It is one of the houses that I lived in when I was little. Apparently, this is their hideout.

I inspect my weapon, and notice that it is not a gun at all, but my set of throwing knives. I guess that's better than nothing, so I pull one out in case I need it. I look again, and I see it is once again a handgun. Then I remember that I never put bullets in the gun. At first I think that I keep the gun loaded, but upon closer inspection I see that the chambers are empty. I grimace with disgust at my oversight. What kind of detective am I?

I turn back towards the office. As I walk, crowds of people fill the street. The street is also a hallway now, I am at one of my colleges and classes are just letting out. I turn towards my office, which is now the maintenance section where I used to work. I need to get back, but some girl I know comes up to me. She wants me to look at her pictures, by which she means she wants me to go to her adult website. I don't really want to do this, but she keeps insisting. She shows me some rather obscene pictures of herself, but I manage to push past her to my office. Around here the dream ends.

by , 03-09-2011 at 05:09 PM (Short Stories with Tragic Endings)
I am sitting at my desk at college. I am extremely tired and don't feel well at all. Probably
because I got up at 5AM the previous morning and didn't go to bed until midnight for the
purpose of WILD. For some reason I decide to do a reality check. To my astonishment, my
finger goes through my palm! I am lucid but I think I am in my dorm, which is not true, I am
actually at home.I get up and instantly feel much better and more awake. I decide to call my
crush, as a dream character, so I get out my phone. I flip it open and the screen is black. I
realize it is because electronics just don't work the same way in dreams so instead of pulling
up my contacts list, I just dial her number manually. The numbers appear in white on the black
screen as I enter them in. At first, I enter my number. I realize it and clear it out and enter her's.
The phone rings and someone answers but it is not her. I decide to try the method where you
call out for the person. Again, someone answers but it is not her. Apparently there is someone
else in the hall that has the same name. It is some random girl that I do not know.
      I then wake
up. I am still in my dorm sitting in my chair I reality check again and find I am still
dreaming! I try again to no avail. I walk out of my dorm and go outside where there
is a playground. Obviously, there wouldn't be a playground on a college campus but
this is a dream so whatever. I start climbing around on stuff and eventually think of
the time its 9:45 "crap I'm missing English". I am probably a little less lucid at this
point. I get up on some monkey bars and I start to notice the dream fading. I try to
stabilize it by rubbing my hands together it works. A guy about my age appears
beside me and says "Why won't you wake up? You need to wake up." I decide to let
      it happen
and I wake up in my dorm again. I look at the clock. 2:30. "Crap, I missed
a lot of classes." I realize it's futile to try to do anything about it but then realize,
it's spring break. I don't have classes. I am still quite tired but I get up. My roommate
comes in and says something about me joining his family for dinner. I start to think
about getting ready for that when
      I truly wake up.

    7. A snowy day in New York.

      by , 03-09-2011 at 05:07 AM
This is my first lucid dream with mild control. It didn't last more than 10 minutes in dream time but it was very neat.

I as fall asleep I can see snow rushing past my face. Before I know it I am staring out a window inside a cafe in down town New York. My friend Crystal is sitting across from me, and she is giggling. It must have been something I said earlier. I can hear my self repeating, "I am in a dream, I will have control over this dream." I then realize what I'm doing, having a lucid dream. As this thought strikes my head like lightning everything starts fading out, it feels like the walls are flying away and things are being thrown into the air. I grab onto the table and try to feel the texture of the cloth and when I open my eyes after having them clenched shut, it's all back to how it was.

I decide to try out my control skills. I've always wanted to do it and I have a lot of self confidence. I picture an icecream sundae in my hands. I tell Crystal, "I can make a sundae, want to see?" She just laughs at me with a look on her face like "what ever!" Before I know it i can feel the cold condensed water on the outside of the glass drip down the side of my hand and down my arm. I can feel the cold, I can smell the fudge on top. I was so delighted I almost lost my dream again.

Right after this I exit the cafe, walking down the streets of New York. The odd thing is there was a McDonalds in the middle of the street on an Island. I decide to go in. My sister is ordering a hamburger, and she tells me she needs to borrow some money. I don't have any but I tell the cashier that the burger is free. She looks at my sister and says, "The burger is free mam. Have a nice day!" Right about here I lost it all, objects were crashing into eachother, walls were being pulled away as the tiles in the floor fell apart. I am awake now. For real.

It was a very incredible first dream experience and I can't wait to have more but I have been very bad at having them. This was a couple months ago but I decided to post it now.

    8. First Lucid (Church attack)

by , 03-09-2011 at 03:04 AM (Adventures of Dreamguy)
I dreamed that I was at my church. I was sitting there, thinking about how bored I was. I heard a scream and look behind and saw 2 people in black clothing going around the church killing people. I thought "good thing this is a dream,WAIT this is a dream!" I ran across the room to the first guy in black and performed a strong roundhouse kick and knocked him out cold. I turned to the second and then had a good idea. I grab him and drag him outside. I flew as high as I could and then dropped him. I watched in amazement as he fell. I then woke up.

    9. The carnival (Lucid) (Warning graphic sex!!)

      by , 03-09-2011 at 01:06 AM
I'm at this carnival when I notice this is a dream (I have no idea how.). The dream starts to get a little hazy so I rub my hands together and it clear up a bit. I walk around wondering what to do for about 5 seconds I turn and off in the distance I see a giant red godzilla destroying a town, but I ignore it.
At first I think I should wish up a monster or fly, but I don't, (I believe it was because i thought the dream would end, or I would lose lucidity). I decide to change small bits of my dreams and just test my abilities. I walk up to this cart/shop. I look as the wood and try to change it to a different color, I manage to darken quite substantially, I try to turn and change the color of another part of the cart, and again it darkens substantially.

I turn to my left and notice this beautiful asian women, I walk up to her and put my hand in between her legs, I notice quite a few people are around so I take her by the hand and bring her to this perfume shop.
She asks me if we are going to buy perfume, I (think) don't answer her question, I then see this shelf lying on the ground but with perfume bottles inside, I move the bottles, we then "enter" this shelf and have sex. I made it all the way to the climax. Then I believe I woke up because I entered this blackness, which I believe was me looking into the back of my eyelids. I lay there and enter the same dream, I went in partially lucid, but I was constantly drifting in and out of lucidity.....(To be continued.)

    10. Dream name gives me greater control

      Nonlucid Lucid Partially lucid

      Successful WILD

March 8, '11: Laying on my back in bed, I felt that I was close to sleep. I imagined moving my arms and it began to feel real. I stood up out of bed. I saw a cat and tested to see if it could see me or if it would be scared. The cat acted normally. I looked at my bed and did not see my body in it. I commented on this.

I was in my childhood home, as usual. I rubbed my hands together to stabilize the dream, intending to stay in the dream for a long time.
I tried to remember what to do and remembered that I had already asked for my spirit name in a previous lucid dream.
I said "my dream name is Justin. No... ________!" I got it wrong the first time, but then corrected myself.
      (it is nothing like "Justin").
I said my dream/spirit name again as I walked into the kitchen. Another cat was on the table. He grew gigantic when I said my name and did a hand gesture at him. I was happily surprised by this.

It was dark outside, so I decided to make it daytime. I commanded it to be daylight, possibly using my dream name again. It became very bright outside, like a huge explosion. Then it became a beautiful sunny day. I saw Adam through the kitchen window, playing with his dog or cat with a ball.
I was very pleased with my control, and that the dream obeyed my desires. I made my cat levitate a couple of feet off the floor. Then I intended to go outside through the door without opening it. I jumped at the wall and hit it. I tried again and this time went through the wall with no trouble.

I flew and said "I am a god of this dream world!"
(I said "a god" rather than "the god" because I recognized that there were other forces also in control of the dream).
I said "I want to see my dream guide and Sheila, now!" I might have felt that someone was about to show up, but I woke up.
Perhaps I didn't attempt to stabilize enough.

    11. March 8, 2011 - Cats and Dogs

      by , 03-08-2011 at 10:04 PM
I am in a room that looks like a library. There are bookshelves lining the walls and some in the middle of the room. I see a door leading to another room the looks very similar. As I enter the new room I see a door to another room which looks similar. This goes on; each new room has a door leading into another room that looks very similar but only slightly different. In one of the rooms I stop and look around. A small dog comes running to me. I do not remember the breed. I give it some attention before I go into the next room. Another dog comes running to me. I remember that this one was a miniature pug. I move along to the next room. The same thing happens again and I do not know the name of the dog breed. I know that I am alone but I hear someone say “Wow you really seem to like pure bred”. I become lucid.

I go into the next room and this one has blue walls and a dark blue ceiling. On the ground are blue pebbles that look like something that would be at the bottom of an aquarium. This time a cat comes running to me. I give it some attention then I move on to the next room. This time I am thinking of my cat Caramel who passed away a year ago. I want her to come out of the doorway. A cat comes out and it is not her. I remember that this one was grey with long hair. I remain in the same room and I try again, this time a tabby comes around the corner. I remain in the same room and try one more time. She comes around the corner. She looks frail and sick like she did in her last days of life. I kneel down and get her to approach me by putting my hand out towards her. She meows and it sounds just like she did in her last days. I begin to cry as she comes to me and I hug and pet her. The dream ends.

    13. Pug Genocide and the Obstacle Course + Circle Class + Fragments

by , 03-08-2011 at 03:36 PM (The book of mars)
Pug Genocide and the Obstacle Course

I’m on my street walking two dogs, a Pomeranian and a pug. I make sure to keep them walking on the right side of the road, and my dream-mind thinks of how much I like the direction of East. I have trouble keeping them out of the roads but I manage to take them to my destination: a big building with all the kids from school waiting in line outside. There’s something going on, but I don’t really know what. I notice that if I get in line, I’ll be waiting for hours. It’s extremely hot out, the peak of summer.

I see my Uncle Pat come at me from a distance. He has a shot gun. Suddenly I am being pulled to the ground. I can’t see anything and my dogs are taken. Hands are over me. I am put in a car. I open my eyes. I’m in the backseat. My mom’s in front with my Nana and the dogs are here in the back. The windows are rolled up and we’re all sweating really hard because of the heat.

“You can’t take Pugs out in the open,” my Nana says. She explains that they are being killed off, and my Uncle is one of the men who shoots them. I don’t know why it’s happening. I roll a window down and shove my face out. It’s a little refreshing. I draw things in the thick condensation that’s formed on the windows.

They drop me off at my dream-house, where I’m staying. It’s night time. I take the dogs into a shed and ruffle through a few boxes. I find a purple wig and put it on. In the mirror, I look the same, and my wig looks really funny. I can’t fit all my hair under it.

I go into the house. I’m staying with an autistic boy and his autistic friend. They annoy me, not because they’re autistic, but they won’t leave me alone for a moment. I try to run into my room and quickly close the door, but they get in. I do it again, forcefully and lock the door. The dogs play around in my room.

The scene jumps to me going back to the building with the school kids. It’s daytime again, but the same day, just a few hours later. No one is outside and I see the tail end of the line going in. Shit. To go in, you walk up some stairs on the side of the building, so I do that. The next part is the beginning of a big obstacle course. I didn’t know that was what this was.

Derek, my friend, is in front of me. After the stairs, you climb through a window-esque opening. I do so, but after casually going through, I am almost falling off a circular ledge that leads from the outside to the inside. Below me, all the kids are doing their obstacles or just watching me fall. This is the first part, and I’m already failing. Well I didn’t know about it, so I don’t feel that bad, I don’t really care about this. The ledge is absolutely terrifying, however.

I fall more, and I’m dangling half inside half outside the building, my hands on the ledge.

“Fuck all you hoes,” I say (lols) and manage to lift myself up. I slink around the ledge and come to a bigger part of it. Kayla, a schoolmate, is in back of me. There are two doorways. They are both extremely small. I enter one, and it gets blistering hot as I walk through. I take off my hoodie, and my mind says this is why my dream has been so hot. It’s still hot in the hallway. It zigzags vertically and becomes too small to fit through. I look back and see Kayla has taken the other hallway, the correct choice. Shit, failed again.

Scene change to the end of the course. I’ve probably come in last, but I’m hanging out with the first place and second place kids until they make a final announcement. It’s kind of like a break time. First place is “Heather”, although it doesn’t look like her and she keeps taking her glasses off (which she doesn’t have in waking life) and saying how she can’t see.

      Circle Class

I am in a big fancy house and I am going to interview someone. They bring me to the “tea room”, which is a huge circular white room. I sit down.

Scene change to me sitting in the room, but in a desk. There are about thirty desks all arranged in a circular way. I see Jack sitting on the other side of the circle. I’m talking to Megan, a childhood friend, and Derek, a friend from school. We talk for a long time, most of the dream, but I don’t remember dialogue much. My mouth is really dry.

I look down the line and see Heather talking to a friend, Aimee. I get a jealousy pang but remember that I’m having a quite good time myself here talking with Megan. We are sitting in rolly chairs and I spin around the room, having some fun.

For some reason, a lot of people start to leave. I think they’ll come back so I wait. Eventually it’s just me and a few kids near Jack who are really dedicated students and wouldn’t leave a class. I know everyone is having a good time without me, and I get very upset. I see Derek left me a drawing. It’s really good, and on the back it has a black scratch area. It reveals rainbow colors if you scratch it away. I doodle on it and think about what Heather is doing without me. I do some funny things to entertain the students, who laugh, but I can’t close my mouth. It’s too dry!

I wake up, and have the worst dry mouth. I drink water and go back to bed.

      Fragment

I am in Goodwill with my mom and someone else. This girl Emily who is really disgusting is here. She points to a sailing instrument, a tiny globe that has a handle under it that controls a grid laying over the earth. It tells you longitude and latitude numbers. I really want it, but it’s thirty dollars. I carry it around and slip it into my pocket.

I check out the records and they have video game soundtracks. I really want the Donkey Kong 64 Part 2 (doesn’t exist!) soundtrack, or the Banjoe Tooie. No money, oh well. I think about telling my friend Lotie about them, because she just got a record player.

I look at a television playing something on a shelf. A thought comes to mind that my mom had cancer in my dream or something. The dream details on this, but I don’t recall any of it.

      Fragment

It’s a year later than now, and I “wake up” in a daze into the new present time, knowing nothing of the past year. I ask Heather all the things we did in the passing year, and have my mom tell me some things we did too. I go to a park with my mom and dad and my dad uncovers my old bike from under a hiding spot. He said I put it there last year.

      Fragment
I'm in my first room ever. On the ground there are two vests, identical. Weird, I think. Why would that happen? I could be dreaming. I become lucid, look at the vests, and see they are remarkably different. I wake up.
    14. My Missing Car

by , 03-08-2011 at 02:20 PM (My Sleepy Mind 2010/2011)
      Original Date: 3/8/2011
Type: False Awakening - Partial Lucid
      Dream:

I woke up and walked into my living room, went over and looked through the blinds out the window (like I usually do) and it was still dark outside (like it usually is) and noticed my neighbor had like 3 other cars of visitors over there (which takes up all the space of where we have to park), and then I noticed my car was not there! So I was looking over to the right farther and saw that my car had been moved, but I didn't understand how and knew it had to have been while I was sleeping, someone had to have come into my house gotten my keys and moved my car while I was sleeping!! I went to the door and saw that it was not closed all the way and the lock/bolt was sticking out but the door not shut, like it was locked but not closed. Somehow I knew instantly that my neighbor had come into my house and did this and I actually started seeing images of this in my mind in my dream. Then I opened my door and I was looking around... my old best friend was sitting in the dark on a curb, she said something to me, but I couldn't make it out. She came inside and I knew then that I was dreaming*. So I decided to skip past an RC because I knew I was dreaming and I knew exactly what I wanted to do... I wanted to walk to my bedroom and see myself sleeping. So my best friend followed me into my bedroom, but when I got there, my body was not in the bed, the bed was empty. I was disappointed because I expected to see myself lying there, but I just saw my bed all unmade and pillows strewn around it. Then I looked at my best friend and we started to make out (which was very strange to me) and then I woke up. (I think I lost lucidity because I didn't know what to do after my expectation of me not being in my bed was disproved.)

      Feelings:
      Exposure, violation, surprise, disappointment, curiousity

      *Side Note:
I am becoming lucid when my dreams take place in my current home, I'm beginning to know instantly when I am in my living room (which is where I practice my waking RCs the most) that I am dreaming.
    15. The Apartment

      by , 03-08-2011 at 12:50 AM
This was a dream I had on February 25th.

It's not too big and exciting for my first DJ entry, but it was still probably one of the first lucid dreams I documented, though it was short.

Okay, so it began as I was getting up out of bed for school. The point to note thinking back was that I was already dressed and I just went out the front door. I didn't even bother looking at the clock, even though I should have. The last thing I remember before I left was leaving itself.

After I opened the door and walked out, after an extremely bright, warm light, I appeared in a parking lot, in front of a huge building. Now I hadn't become lucid quite at that time, so I continued on to enter this building.

When I entered I had my office chair in hand, not questioning it. In front of me were many people, moving about on the lower level of this huge building. It was primarily made of glass and what looked like some sort of steel. Everything seemed reflective, and it was so bright it was amazing. It felt like some sort of large mall complex. Regardless, I moved forward and an escalator with a few people going up them was in view, and to the right of that was a white marble staircase.

At this point I hopped on the escalator, and met someone I knew. It was a kid named DJ, ironically. I knew he was a friend of my brother's and one year older than me. He was leaning on the staircase rail, watching the people go by on the escalator as he noticed me.

He called to me and followed me to my destination upstairs which I had apparently already decided on.

The destination was a fairly spacious apartment, relatively the size of a decently high rated hotel suite, to the right of the escalator and staircase. It was called "Apt. 103" as declared by the golden plaque near the door. I seemingly had a key, or it was unlocked, and I entered. DJ followed me here, and we sat down for a minute. I almost seemed to be thinking about looking for something, but had no idea what I needed.

At this time I also set down the office chair, and rested on the futon near the entrance in a sort of living area. Then I looked to the clock, and reality checked my way into lucidity.

Something I should address is that numbers and times on the clock are a strong presence within my daily life. Particularly, many repeating numbers that I see on a regular basis. Why on the very day I write this I've seen 10:10, 3:33, and 5:55.

Using this basis as a reality check in my real life, I was able to practice it when the concept came into my dream. When I looked at that clock, I saw 10:10, which I see quite often. I can only assume this was in the morning based on the brightness I had seen. Regardless, I realized what time it was, and stopped myself for a moment.

I had to prove to myself subconsciously that I was indeed dreaming, so I ran out of the apartment, my office chair with me again, and burst through the doors of the large glass building. In another sensation of bright, warm light, I appeared in my kitchen, now without the office chair, right in front of the stove with the green digital clock staring at me, bearing the time 6:41.

Upon this event of apparently reversing time, I went to bed in the dream, and woke up at 5:30 as usual in reality by alarm clock.

The next time I saw that clock above the stove in reality, it bore the time, 6:41.

Another odd thing about me is that my eyes tend to change color, but rarely do. After waking and waiting for my eyes to adjust to the light, and of course, recording this dream, I looked in the mirror and noticed my eyes were green, different from the normal deeper blue my entire family is accustomed to.

Well that's all, boy was that long winded Thanks for reading if you read it all!
