    1. Awesome Dream Sign Recognition and Further Attempts to Walk Through Stuff

by , 03-13-2011 at 04:58 PM (The Lab Notebook)
Awake, Non-lucid, Lucid, [Commentary made while awake]

I'm on a dark ride at Disneyland. When I concentrate on the images that are moving vertically in front of me, I can accept and maintain the optical illusion that traditional animation is taking place right there in the space in front of me on the ride.

Later, I'm in a dream version of Disneyland's Haunted Mansion. This version is two-story and walk-through, with a large, rectangular open space in the center of the house where you can see the walkway that runs in front of the entrances to the second-floor rooms. I think,
They've redone this entire place again? It's actually this realization that makes me aware that I'm dreaming. I've dreamed about this attraction many, many times before, and it's different every single time, so if I'm on yet another new version, I must be dreaming. I continue to make my way through the house, being scared [in the good way] by some of the ghosts that jump out at me.

I somehow end up in the landscaped outdoor area around what appears to be a shopping mall. I look at my hands and see that they look normal
[I've been doing this a lot in reality lately], but don't lose lucidity. I'm pleased to find that the dream is stable, my dream self feels real and normal, and that I'm not aware of my real body at all. I then remember my current personal dream goal and decide to start trying to walk through a wall. I see the orange-tan-colored outer wall of some restaurant and think, Maybe it'll be easier to go through if I don't know in advance what's supposed to be on the other side. [I don't even know.] I don't end up going through it, though. [If I attempted to, I don't remember it now.]

While walking around the outdoor area, I touch a metal hand rail and find that it feels real. I also try to walk through a low, rectangular concrete wall intended for seating, but it's just as real and solid to me as it would be in reality. [I think I just haven't fully convinced myself that I can walk through things like a ghost yet.]

I continue walking and find a small, amphitheater-like concrete area where there are big concert speakers set up, playing hip-hop or rap music. Facing the speakers is a picnic table with a bunch of teenagers sitting on it, all of whom are really into the music. One girl, however, is sitting on a bench off to the side by herself, reading a book. On the opposite side of the table from the speakers is a grassy lawn. Fifty or so yards away at the other end of the lawn, a live rock band is playing on another stage. I think it's kind of sad that the poorly-designed setup of the area, with the big speakers so nearby, means that no one is paying the band any attention. [What is it with me and rock concerts in my dreams lately? I don't have any plans to go to one in reality.] I think about talking to one of the teenagers there, but [for some unknown reason] decide not to.

The back of my left thigh started to itch, which made me aware of my real body again, which caused the dream to dissolve. I scratched it, now awake and disappointed at the interruption.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Good morning! I felt like I had to make up for lost dreamtime, so getting lucid and doing awesome things was on my schedule. After doing a WBTB I managed to do it. The mantra was: "I'm dreaming"

      01.00: Sleep

      07.00: WBTB 20 minutes

      07.45: Fragment
*I'm showing my WoW characters to a coworker.

      07.45: Using all senses MILD
I'm petting my mom's dog Igor at her house. "He's loyal as long as there's food" someone tells me, not sure if I heard it all in my head. I get up and walk out the door, it's freezing cold outside. I head towards the parkinglot and then decide to go back, it's too damn cold. I decide to do a RC. I count seven or more fingers. That can't be right... I recount them and this time I can't even keep track on which finger I am on. But it's too damn cold for it to be a lucid!

I need to stop thinking there are limits to a dream, I usually incorporate pain and cold in my RC's as I experience them daily, never in a dream. I have no particular task in my mind except stabilizing the dream with my senses. I grab a pinetree and smell the air. It's cold and doesn't smell much. I head back to the house and run my hand against a truck standing in the middle of the road. I find a snickers bar in my pocket and take a bite. It tastes like regular snickers.

I realise I've forgotten hearing and start singing "Land of down under". My sister Malin shows up and I throw the half-eaten snickers bar at her. It hits her head and I laugh happily. I'm behaving like a crazy man and I start singing on another random tune. I find some bark strips and throw them at her as she's going inside again. They all hit her head and we both laugh. I head towards the parkinglot again and spot some dog pee in the snow. I wonder if it would stabilize the dream if I ate some. Pushing the thought aside I remember a small village being ontop of a hill behind the forest infront of me. I start flying on the spot and go five or so meters up. I fly right into the thicket of pine trees. Everything becomes alot darker once in the forest and I start crawling up the hill, touching moss and pine needles.

My hoodie gets pulled over my eyes and everything goes
black. I refuse to let the dream go and franticly try to get the dream back by imagining touching the forest floor. Suddenly I can see again, I'm still in the same place. I let the needles prickle my skin and I yell at myself to stabilize. It works great! I start climbing once again and after a minute or so of climbing, I can see the top. The trees all change into something more fitting a warmer country. Gravity seems to be weaker but I don't care. I'm in no hurry and I jump from rock to rock as I climb higher.

After what seems like forever I reach the top. I'm standing on a flat mountain overlooking a huge forest. There's a broad dirt road going through the top of the mountain and I spot several houses further down the road. I start walking and check my pockets once again and find a lighter. I fill my hand with gas and light it. A small fireball stings my hand but I ignore the feeling. I remember trying to play around with fire but always failing back in the days. I make a fist-sized flame appear in my hand. I watch it flicker for a second before I reach out with my hand towards the first building in line. The small metal chimney in the middle of the roof (which has an inwards tilt) starts burning. I light another fire in my hand and stretch it out at a wooden house further away. The house starts burning like a torch instantly.

I am satisfied, but not entirely. How about having some dream sex for once? The road ends up ahead infront of two houses. It's getting darker and I intend to get laid. I walk towards the building on my right and look at it. It's completely dark inside, but I force the dream by imagining someone being at home. A few meters away I see blue light which must be coming from a TV on the top floor.

I enter the dark house and head up the winding stairs infront of me, silent as a ghost. There seems to be two rooms on the top floor and the left door is slightly open. I push it open and TV light illuminates the room. A girl in her twenties is sleeping in a bed with a blanket over her body, she's very cute. I start removing my clothes silently. The dream feels stable enough still and I can feel my pulse quickening. I don't intend to do anything she doesn't want to, but I know she will be willing anyways, it's just a dream. I try to remove my pants but they get stuck at my ankles. I struggle to get them off for a second.
      BAM! Awake.

      10.00: Fishing
I'm watching a movie where my friend Jonas catches a pike. He's in rather shallow water and there's a crowd of people standing on the shore cheering him on. He gets it out of the water and heads up to the dock. I walk up to him (apparently in the movie myself now) and congratulate him on his first pike. My brother Martin shows up and his friend. They start arguing and I spot a plastic tub with dead fish in. I weigh them each in my hand, all of them spiky. My brother seems to have caught quite alot today I think for myself. It's time for us to go fishing. I head out in the water and Jonas shows up with a strange, pink flower on the hook. "Look what I caught!" he tells me excitedly. "Put it back before anyone sees you! That's just a plant dummy" I tell him and worry about how the crowd would react.

He gets disappointed but throws it away. We swim further out and soon a few more friends appear. Jonas wants to fish for more plants but I tell him that's a bad idea. I feel like swimming under water and head down a few meters then swim like a fish for as long as I can. When I break the surface again I'm at the mouth of a river. I feel dizzy and have to take huge breaths. The rest of the group catches up with me.

      10.00: LHC-Nuke
I'm at my computer. My old computer is hooked up to my new one and I'm trying to play some game through the new one on the old one. I get bluescreen and it's really messed up. Suddenly I'm playing a new Battlefield game. I'm in a tank and I'm blasting away. The tank has some new kind of missiles that doesn't explode right away but sticks to the target for a second or two first. I eliminate an entire camp with my tank and soon I'm left with nothing to destroy. I have two missiles left though and I wonder if I could shoot one out into the sky and make it blow up. I rightclick and then hold both buttons. The missile gets controlled for a while before it blows up on the sky.

Suddenly I'm ingame. A bunch of friends and Monica are there. I shoot the last missile up into the sky and it explodes, a shockwave rips through the sky and change position of all clouds. "Look! Isn't it awesome?" I ask Victor. He doesn't really care. The shockwave doesn't go away right away but keeps on rippling through the sky. Another blast gets my attention. I see a bright light over town and realise this is the day they're launching the new LHC. I can see an enormous rocket being lifted to an upright position. It must be several km away. "What should we do?" I ask everyone. I suggest we split up, I want to play some computer games with G. "I don't even like you, I never have haha!" he tells me. Wtf? I'm hurt and take off on my bike. I go up on a hill and turn around to see if Monica's following me, she's not.

A few people show up and they're whistling. I can't do that, would make her seem like some kind of dog. Another loud blast sounds, this time much louder. A bright light appears on the sky and it's quite beautiful. I go down the hill again at great speed. A car almost hits me and at an intersection I break with the entire bike. I slide in the snow for a while before stopping. "Babe!" someone yells behind me. Monica appears on her bike and she falls into the snow. She's crying out loud and got snot all over her face. Poor thing I think as I comfort her. I left her all alone when it's night out. I'm such a bastard.

      10.00: Fragments
*I'm visiting a doctor for my wrists. "Anything that's wrong with you?" she asks me. "Well, not now but I'm always hurting somewhere" I tell her.

*I'm at work and telling a few coworkers about my lucid dream I just had. They laugh and shake their heads and laugh as usual, but when I come to the sex part they actually listen, before I tell them nothing happened. HAH!

      10.30: Wake up

      Amount of sleep: 9˝ hours

      Supplements: None

That's it! Quite a cool night. The lucid was pretty sweet as I was bouncing around like I was on the moon the second part of it all. I guess I did a DEILD and induced the same place successfully. That was probably the longest lucid I've had to date.

      Keep on dreaming, HARE BRA!

    3. Sort-of war dream, but no one really gets killed. ...:P + Fancy high-control lucid dream later.

      by , 03-13-2011 at 10:54 AM
I was in a mountainside cavern talking with two females about the fight going on the valley below, after while we left cavern and it was snowing outside, i asked were they going to need transport as i was planning to jump down the cliff(which was bout 800 meter long (half mile) drop).
They said that they were okay and would be there with their own ways, there i remembered that they would anyways appear there (half-lucid logic).
jumped down the cliff and started dropping real fast but would not bother to open the parachute, so dropped to the valley floor.
I went with scouting unscathed and ended up at big ice wall without finding anyone in the way, so i shot an grappling hook from my left arm to the ice walls top parts and started climbing but i gave up before the top because i thought this must the edge of the scene coz its so hard to get there.

Later i was in a city with same two females raiding a military base,
thats where my self awareness got high enough for spontaneous LD.
I noticed that i didnt have any kind of weapon so i started to throw enemies to walls with telekinesis, after a while i remembered that i had planned to wild this night but i had failed coz sudden awakening of my parents.
So i teleported of the scene and ended up in my fathers old home.
I walked trough the house and saw some "things" i was supposed to do later in the failed WILD but i would not do them yet coz they were too unstabilising to the dream(as they were sexual in nature).
I went outside and walked to the road to start flying and to find "The Receptionist"(Self designed DC created for causing LDs, one of my support and control system DCs)
It was snowing and it was cold so i raised the heat level and pretty soon all the snow was gone and it was cloudy and windy weather.
I wasn´t able to fly with few tries and there was pretty strong wind so i raised it to really extremely high wind speed and jumped of the bridge was standing on to the wind.
Wind carried me really fast upwards to the clouds but dream destabilized after i hit the clouds.

Damn it would have been awesome to fly above the clouds in such cloudy, rainy day, better luck next time.

      Lucidity:A
      Vividness:B

    5. I made a mesmetron

      by , 03-13-2011 at 08:17 AM
Not sure if anyone has ever heard of a mesmetron before, but I am able to build them and use them in my lucid dreams! I have run around using one in New York City. So much fun! Has anyone else ever had any kind of engineering type dreams like this? I have made other things but the mesmetron is by far the most fun.

A Mesmetron is a hypothetical device which allows the user to override brain patterns of who it is fired at effectively mind controlling them.

    6. 1/1 Sat: Falling Peacefully

by , 03-13-2011 at 07:54 AM (One Must Imagine Sisyphus Happy)
I haven't been following goals or keeping up my recall lately. I have had a few spontaneous LD's though, so that is giving me motivation to step up my practice again.

      Falling Peacefully
      Method DEILD
      Lucidity C
      Vividness C
      Control C
I transition into lucidity from a brief waking. Or it could have been a false awakening, I can't be too sure. But I'll call it a DEILD. I am laying in bed, dark and quiet. I begin to feel the sensation of falling through the bed and into empty dark space. I open my eyes and turn my body upright. I feel the cool breeze of air as I fall and it's quite pleasant. I try to will myself to teleport to some place. I focus my intent on appearing in my office. But nothing happens. The effort causes me to wake up briefly.

I remain still and DEILD chain back into sleep. Once again, I feel like I am falling through the bed and into empty dark space. This time, I decide to just go with it and enjoy the experience. I see a few twinkling dim lights like stars in the distance. Then it seems like either they are getting closer or I am falling faster because they start the rush past me as I fall. They seem to be on a solid wall is closing around me.

Then, it seems as though I am falling through a narrow tube and these dim lights are just specks on the tube as a fall through. It's like a tube ride at a water park. The tube starts to angle slightly instead of straight down, so now I am sliding along the tube rather than just falling. All along, the experience is pleasant and I'm just curious about the whole thing. The tube gradually angles more and more horizontal until eventually it is level. My sliding slows and eventually I stop at one section of the dark tube. I'd say I've been falling for about 5 minutes.

I crawl in the tube, looking at the sides. There's still a soft breeze of air and I don't feel trapped. But I'm looking for a way out. I feel a panel along the wall and remove it. It's like an electrical fuse box. Inside, there is a small lamp with two cords that plug into some sockets in the wall. I pick up the lamp and move it to shine down the tube to get a sense of where I am. But in doing so, I pull the cords out of the wall and the lamp turns off. I feel around to fit the two plugs back into the sockets. In the dim light, I sense that some are color-coded in red and other's black. I try a few different combinations of plugs and sockets until one works and the lamp comes back on.

I turn to look at the other side of the tube with the help of the lamp. I find another panel and I remove. Behind it, there is just empty space, like the tube is suspended in space and this panel is a way out. I think to crawl through but it's too small for me. But as I'm thinking about this, I seem to fall through the bottom of the tube, as if a trap-door opened under me.

I fall for a moment and land softly in a field of long wild grass. It's still mostly dark but a bit lighter here. I can see well enough around me as if the moon is shining down in the middle of the night, though I don't recall looking up to see the moon. I take a moment to reflect on the dream and how calm and quiet it was. I am alone in this dark field, but I don't feel lonely or afraid. It's pleasant.

My recall has been really terrible lately, likely due to being stressed out about school right now. I do remember a bit from my dream last night though.

I'm in some house that I don't recognize. My friends are outside in the backyard, but for some reason I don't want them to know I'm there. I'm in the bathroom, and the bathtub is full. I don't want to let the water out through the drain because it will make noise that could potentially alert the others of my position. I pick up a bucket and start bailing the bath water out of the window. Then I realize that I have been soaking all the people outside. They are angry, and run inside to find me. I panic and run into a nearby room. I climb out of a window, onto some industrial scaffolding. I'm climbing around on this for a while and then I realize that I must be dreaming. I rub my hands on the metal of the scaffolding and tell myself over and over that I'm dreaming, trying to stabilize and retain lucidity.
Then my boyfriend shifted positions in the bed, briefly waking me up. I didn't stay lucid when I fell back into the dream.

    8. Early Childhood Dreams(1-8yrs)/Reoccurring Dream Fragments

      by , 03-13-2011 at 04:32 AM
*These will be grouped together, as I do not wish to flood and update them separately, and as several of them are fragments.

      Age 5, August:

I was in the apartment I shared with my elder sister(whom adopted me after our mothers death and my fathers abandonment). I knew it was late at night, and dark outside, but someone had covered our window with a childs drawing of a bright, sunny day. My dream self knew that the picture was fake, but my sister (I will refer to her as mom from here on out, as thats what I call her) did not seem to realize the picture was false, and continuously insisted that I go outside and play. She became so insistent that my dream-child-self could no longer resist, and so, full of suspicion, I left the house. Upon seeing that it was indeed dark and late, I turned to bang on the door, but she did not answer. I desperately looked through the window, my terror mounting, and saw that she was sitting and watching TV. I screamed, called out to her, and pounded on the door, but she could not hear me. In real life, she would have been able to hear me, and the fact that she couldn't scared me even more. I began to wander around. I was in the alley-way between apartment complexes, and the night was unnaturally dark; I could see the buildings clearly, but it was as though someone had colored all else with charcoal. I began to wander towards the main street, and as I did so, yellow eyes came towards me from the darkness, and I felt the panther pass me. I knew it was a panther because they're black, and all I could see were the eyes, so obviously it was blending in to the night.
I finally came upon the street, where one yellow street light illuminated the dumpster and a row of parked cars. By the dumpster was a zombie and a robot (at that age, I had no idea what a zombie or robot was. I wasn't allowed to watch anything beyond G, my TV was moderated, and the only thing the computer was good for was MS Paint. I went to a nice little all-white preppy-school, and I was actually the MOST cultured of my classmates, who were stupid enough not to know what the Fox and the Hound was. I recognize the monsters as a zombie and robot, NOW, but I am at a loss for how I knew what they might look like, THEN). I was terrified of the zombie and robot, even though I had a sense that they were not threatening. Called to my terror, a witch came down from the sky on her broom and swooped me away to her home, where she puttered about in the kitchen while I sat uncomfortably in the dining room. She continued to say how grateful I should be for her rescuing me, and how lucky I was, but I was quite uneasy. When she finished in the kitchen she brought out a sheet of cookies, and I KNEW that they were blood-cookies, and that she was evil and the zombie and robot actually good. I stole her broom and ran outside as she followed, screeching, and jumped off the cliff, managing to make the broom work inches before I hit the ground.
I came home, and finally found my way in, only to see my mom on her exercise bike. I tried to tell her what had happened to me, but she again couldn't hear me. As I began to scream at her, a T-Rex burst through the window. My mom didn't notice it, and then it roared and I woke up--somehow sensing that the roar was a sound both in real life and the dream. Turns out my mom was snoring REALLY loudly on the couch.

      Age 8, December:
I was at the YMCA, my daycare, late at night. Everyone else was there as well, but it was far past the time when the daycare closed. My friend Chrystal was showing me her haircut (In fact, two days after this dream, Chrystal got a haircut and I had deja vu when she showed it to me) at one of those fold-down white tables with the long, attached benches. She had cut her hair VERY short. I was admiring it when I great bright light illuminated the windows behind Chrystal, and her and I jumped under the table, knowing it was aliens. (Yes, by this age I knew what those were, although the only form they ever took in my imagination was green, pointy chin, big head, and big black eyes. No antenna though) The aliens were soon chasing us through a LARGE McDonalds play-place suddenly inside the YMCA gym, only it was larger than the gym, and it was terrifying. Then at one point the aliens chasing us turned into Jesus, and I thought 'oh, he's supposed to be cool, we should go to him', before I thought 'it's a trick!' and continued to run away. Chrystal ran to Jesus for help, and he turned back into the alien and ate her, whereas I had continued running, and made it to a safe point. (ALSO, I wasn't allowed to have or play or watch people play video games until I was 13. And, while my larger family identified as Christian, my mom never forced any kind of religion on me, or had any views on the subject, herself, so Jesus was kinda a vague concept I was rather suspicious of) So basically, this dream baffles me by basic rights of 'where the hell did I get this'.

Unknown Ages, Reoccurring: I continuously had dreams where I KNEW that, if I ran fast enough, I would run right off the ground and into the air, and be able to fly. I would have to keep my legs running, in order to keep myself up, but I could do it, and I did do it, quite frequently. The only other flying dreams I had besides these were back before I was 7, I would be able to sit on my blankey and it could fly me around.

Note: I have nightmares very infrequently, and after having two in a row when I was 7, I taught myself how to go back and 'erase' them, by imagining that my dreams were in a file-system in a computer, and that if I took the nightmares and 'deleted' them, they would no longer bother me. To this day, I still use this system in order to 'delete' nightmares immediately after I have them, so that while I can remember the nightmare, I don't remember the fear or pain, and can thus go immediately back to sleep, and not have the nightmare reoccur.

I'm a noob and new to this site so excuse me if I'm not too familiar with terms and such.
Well, here goes my first entry.

      09/03/11 - LD

I had a lucid dream but I had no control over it. I did have enough control to explore my surroundings however and I was slightly aware I was dreaming.
I was in a huge, old university (sort of similar to Hogwarts but more modern and different) and the school had a musty smell and quiet atmosphere about it.
I was walking through the various hallways and classrooms and opening up doors into different rooms. The sun was seeping in through the windows and I could see the dust flying in the air. I then saw a long-shot (film-wise) of the university and I was aware that I was inside the building even though I could see the outside. The university was hidden in amongst trees and foresty-type forages. It was either sunrise or midday not too sure. The sky was blue and it was cold.
My awareness back inside the university, I then started talking to other students about something (can't remember) and they were friendly. The atmosphere of the place was peaceful and cheery.

And then suddenly I was thrust into another dream (wasn't so much a LD but it felt real despite me not having any control over it whatsoever) where me and other people were being pursued by an unknown enemy. The dream was heavily contrasted with sharp shadows (film-noir). We were speeding through dark, gothic London streets and it had just been raining really hard. It was night and the clouds from the rain had cleared to show stars. We were manically driving in an old car (the one with the horn on the side and no rooftop) and there were many of us crammed in the car with some standing on the outside, clinging onto the sides. It was almost cartoon-like. It was chaotic and full of action, a vast contrast to the previous dream and all I could remember feeling was sheer panic and adrenaline. We were racing down past the docks and some big ships were bobbing silently in the sea and I could see the reflection of the moonlight bouncing off the water.

      And then I woke up.

I am at a football stadium with my friend Shawn. There is a bottom level, then an overhanging balcony that is the second level, and then another overhanging balcony that is the third level. We are on the second a few rows up. We have a bottle of vodka and are pouring shots as we watch the football game. I suddenly notice that they aren't playing football at all. It looks a lot like blitzball (from Final Fantasy X). Though all the players are wearing helmets and shoulder pads, they are flying/swimming around in the air tossing a blitzball into a floating triangular goal. I slowly become more and more aware until I realized this wass in fact, a dream.

The stadium atmosphere was so real that I was in awe for a few moments. I looked down several rows and saw there were people standing at the edge of the balcony. Shawn said, "I wish we could have those seats." The stadium seats were much more vertical than a normal stadium and the best seats in the house appeared to be right on that balcony. I motioned him to follow me and we stood up and walked down toward it. He suggested that we offer them something for their seats and I said, "Nah, I'll just kick 'em off the balcony." He looked confused to the meaning of my words. I walked up behind the people and some rather hefty security guard lady came waddling up to me and said, "Sir, these aren't your seats. We need you to go back to your seats." I looked at her very threateningly and she looked frightened. She then took off back into the crowd shouting for back-up security. I paid her no mind and then turned and kicked a man square in the back and he flew off the balcony. There were a couple kids and another man standing there as well. They didn't seem to notice their neighbor had just flown off the balcony. I proceeded to do a ninja-like kick combo and kicked the threw of them off the balcony as well.

I heard screams from below and peered over the balcony. There was a large pile of blood and like 13 bodies laying in it (though I had only kicked 4 people, lol). Shawn gave me a fist-pound and took the seats. After only a few moments, the first guy I kicked had walked back up to the seat I was sitting in. He told me that his computer had been acting up lately and he must have gotten booted. I gave a fake laugh and said, "Oh. It is all good, here take your seat back. There are a few empty ones beside us anyway." He thanked me and then attempted to sit down. Before he could, however, I kicked the back of his head and he fell face first over the railing, but managed to hang on with one hand. Shawn reached his hand over to help the guy. As Shawn was lifting him up, I said, "Man, are you ok? Some guy just rammed into you and took off." Shawn had lifted the guy back up over the rail, but hadn't released his arm yet. The guy said, "Oh, how ever could I thank the two of you. I could have died right there!" I smiled and said, "Well, what would have been the fun in that?" The guy looked a bit puzzled and I said, "Its more fun this way." I nodded to Shawn and he tossed the guy up into the air. I performed a spinning back kick and sent the guy soaring over the balcony. I watched as he landed on and was impaled by a flag that another fan was holding.

Suddenly, the crowd around us began to shout and throw popcorn at us. I jumped up and stood on the railing of the balcony. Then began pissing on the crowd around us and down on the lower level. They began to riot. Me and Shawn started fighting off the crowd and tossing them over the balcony to their death below (which had now turned into a Mortal Kombat-like spiked pit). Me and Shawn were performing combo moves as he would toss people into the air and I would kick them off the balcony. Soon, a large group of cops with riot shields came running out to where we were. I distracted one of them as Shawn elbowed him in the back of the head. I then stole his riot shield and began swinging it violently. I was knocking 5 and 6 people into the air with each swing. We both had riot shields and took off through the crowd. Most of the crowd just watched as others attempted to fight us off. It felt like I was in a "beat 'em up style" video game. We began a fight with a group of bikers when I awoke from the dream.

    11. First 'Lucid'

      by , 03-12-2011 at 11:04 PM
I was in my old house sort of crawling/sliding along the floor. My Dad and sister were watching me, talking (I think). I spontaneously decided to do an RC. I tried to puch my finger through my hand but I kept missing, so I counted my fingers. I had an extra finger and became lucid. My Dad said to me, "Why can't you (do something) properly?" I said back, "I don't have to, I'm lucid." As soon as I said this the dream destabilised, and I woke up, realising I should have rubbed my hands together. I am still happy I have the first step down.

    12. My dream storage room

      by , 03-12-2011 at 05:38 PM
I have been using visualisation to enter dreams for ages, but usually not to induce lucid dreams (as I haven't had any lucid dreams since growing up).
I tried that however this morning. After 9 hours sleep I got up for a couple of minutes and then went back to bed to intentionally visualise my way into my personal dream world. And I was successful - up to a point

      Here is what I did:
I got comfortable in my bed. Then I started to visualise...
I entered a big vast room with hundreds of thousands crystal orbs suspended in the air all over the room. For a while I wandered around the room looking into some of the orbs - catching a glimpse here and there. This is my dream storage room!
Because there were so many orbs it would take me ages to look and examine each one. So I looked around to find a way to identify one that I remembered and wanted to enter. And Lo and behold there was a computer touch screen on one of the walls nearby. I moved towards it and discovered that it listed all my dreams. I could select one of them (could even search) or choose to create a new one.
First I tried it with a recent dream I wanted to revisit.
I identified it as it was labeled the same as in my dream journal. After selecting it I detected a glowing orb some steps away from me. I walked over and looked into it. It was the correct dream. I knew I had to continue looking into the orb, focussing on it and the pulsating glow to enter the dream. But somehow I couldn't go through with it. I got distracted by other remembered dreams that I could have chosen instead.
So I tried it with a "new" dream. Another orb started to glow and as I looked into it all I could see was white. I focussed on it and the pulsating glow and suddenly with a "plop" (short bursting sound) I found myself falling to the white nothingness. It looked like a white canvas all around me ready to create a dreamscape. I was standing in there and wondered for quite some time what I wanted to create, but unfortunately I couldn't decide among all the different scenarios I had designed in my waking life. Then I was startled awake by some noise outside.

Maybe I should add a "random" button to the screen just to make it easier to enter not-remembered dreams.

    13. Wahey another (admittedly fragmented) lucid!

      by , 03-12-2011 at 05:02 PM
I was extremely, stupidly drunk last night so my recall for this isn't perfect but I'm still ecstatic nontheless.

I remember having a false awakening and I immediately could just feel that I was dreaming. I jumped off the end of the bed and stopped a foot off the ground to prove it to myself. I also recall searching for my dream guide and think I was almost successful. I remember grabbing at somebodies arm through a mirror after shouting "Dream Guide", but unfortunately didn't hold on hard enough. I also recall teleporting myself to a location that I have designed in waking life where I believe my dream guide will be. It was on the top of a hill overlooking the sea, although wasn't 100% accurate. I knew that I had to find a motorbike and think that I did but can't recall for certain.

    14. Merging Bodies

by , 03-12-2011 at 04:23 PM (...from the dark corners of my mind...)
      DJ Log: March 12, 2011 – ~4:15AM (USA Eastern)
      Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID ·

I am laying naked on my bed, trying to read a book with very small text. I rotate the book in several different directions, but the text is totally impossible to read. Just as I put the book down, a young guy with long blonde hair walks into my room and says, “It's time for your meltdown.” As I am look for my alarm clock which is not there, I reply, “Isn't it a bit early?” He says, “No, certainly not.” After giving me a strange look, he climbs up on the bed and says, “Roll over, then cross your arms under your chest and bring your hands up and out from under your shoulders.” As I do this, he lays down on my back and grabs both of my hands. His hair is hanging down past my face.

He slowly lifts my upper section slightly off the bed by my arms, holds me up for a few seconds, then lowers me slowly back onto the bed. I can feel his body get very warm as his aura combines with mine. He lifts me a second time and I begin to feel a warm and tingling sensation through my back and shoulders as I am being lowered back to the bed. When he lowers me the third time, the sensation becomes stronger and travels all the way down my legs. On the fourth lift, his legs melt down through me and become part of mine. When he lowers me, the rest of his body melts down and becomes part of mine. As we are merging, I can feel my internal organs shifting around to make room for an extra set. This is quite a strange feeling, but it doesn't hurt or anything.

Somehow, I come to my senses and become lucid. I roll off my bed and walk out of my room. As soon as I walk through the doorway, I lose my lucidity and the dream.

One of these fine days I will learn to take a moment and stabilize every time I become lucid. I'm certain that I was starting to aim for lucidity twice in the beginning of this dream; once when I couldn't read the text of the book, and a second time when I couldn't find my alarm clock. This is not the first time I have missed several clearly obvious dream signs, and it certainly won't be the last.

I don't recall waking up directly from this one. There were a couple of dreams after this one, but I don't have much recall of them. This is the one that stood out from the rest in my memory and I think I lost the others while recalling and writing this one.

I woke up briefly and as I returned to sleep I felt SP trying to kick in. I went with it and soon SP had fully set in. There seemed to be no HI of any kind. There was a lot of noise...a familiar buzzing with a lot of muffle conversation. Several times the conversation volume grew to shouting levels, but I couldn't understand any words that were said. I soon felt my self rolling around my room. Once the rolling stopped, I stood up with quite a bit of difficulty.

The dream was quite blurry and everything seemed to be moving slightly (as if I were dizzy). I attempted to stabilize, but had considerable trouble clearing things up. I managed to get the dream decently stable and I walked to my front door and exited onto the porch. Upon exiting the house, the dream was fuzzy once again. I tried to stabilize, but nothing seemed to be working. I jumped off the porch and when I landed the the entire environment shook violently. I got the dizzy feeling and everything was blurry and mixing together. I stumbled my way down to the truck sitting in the driveway. I started rubbing the truck and smelling the air. I couldn't smell anything. I could hear a slight buzzing in my ear and I took a deep inhale and tasted the air. I couldn't taste anything either. After applying all 5 senses with a little focus, the dream cleared up a little bit.

It was still relatively fuzzy as I attempted to walk forward and immediately began spinning in circles. I couldn't stop it on my own, so I grabbed hold of the truck once again and I stopped spinning. I kept thinking, "WTF is going on here? Haven't had a dream this unstable in a while." The dream was once again so blurry that I could barely make out the environment. I jumped into the air and attempted to take flight, but just kind of hung in mid-air for a bit. The dream immediately became crystal clear as I was hanging in the air. I could move my body, but I couldn't move in any direction. I flailed around in the air for a while and attempted to force myself forward. This struggle lead to me waking up in bed.
