We eventually got there and I noticed that everyone was is my primary school's uniforms, they were my age, from my high school, just in my primary school's uniforms. I had a look around and got them. There was a timeskip and I was back home, my Aunt L was there and when she asked how the ride home was, I thought for a bit and realised that I don't know. I did a nose pinch RC and I was lucid. I went through the back gate into my street and thought I might see if I can make a friend in my Dream World. I looked across the street and saw the house there had become a big victorian style house. I walked over to it, about to go up the stairs to the door when a dog came up to me, I pet it for a while until my dog came along. I took a look inside the house and it appeared to be empty, but it looked incredible. When I went outside, I decided to run through my street, I was slowly building up speed until I was going really fast. I looked into the houses in my street and thought I might go into one that interested me, one was filled with people around 80, another filled with a bunch of idiots smashing bottles over each other's heads and a lot of empty houses. When I came to a real life shortcut to another street, I saw a few joggers come out of it and thought I would talk to one. She seemed pretty smart for a DC, I asked what she was doing, she said she was training for the 1600 metre sprint at her school sports, after that, I slapped her for no good reason. I got out and had a shower, exactly like usual. I started drying myself but when I started brushing my teeth in front of the mirror, I got a serious shock. I saw that 2 of my teeth were mis-aligned, I was worried and felt them a bit and they fell out, along with a few others. I was kinda worried and thinking about going through the rest of my life missing some teeth, I really hoped it was a dream, I did a Nose Pinch RC, and to me delight, It was! I waved my hand over my mouth and my teeth were fine. I walked around my house for a while, seeing that this is one of the most stable lucids i've had, everything was exactly like my house. I talked to my mum, and asked, "Do you know where we are?" She said "The kitchen..." I told her she was wrong and that it's a dream, then I gave my dream mum a hug and goodbye. I remembered one of my goals was to talk to my reflection, I remembered that reflections can sometimes be scary or distorted, so I tested it with the small mirror from the bathroom. I peeked around the corner to see a distorted image on the mirror, so I was prepared, knowing that if I wasn't it could shock me into a nightmare. I went into the toilet because of it's bigger mirror, but, this was NOT my toilet. When I came in, it had ancient stone walls and floor, with vines growing on the walls and a giant skylight, an even bigger mirror hanging from the vines, and, of course, a toilet, hehe. The basic TOTM suddenly came to me and I looked in the mirror at the distorted picture, I had a RED shirt and black pants. I looked up at the skylight and saw the BLUE skies and YELLOW sun, BASIC TOTM COMPLETED. I looked back at my reflection and asked it if it could talk, it said "yep", but there was no sound, I just knew it said yep. I asked it why it couldn't talk, and it just said a bunch of things I couldn't make out. I stood back and tried to will giant speakers up, it didn't work, I then shouted out, LET THERE BE SOUND!!! It worked, but I don't remember what my reflection and I talked about. When I left the the err..."Toilet", I appeared to be in what looks like a D.I.Y store. I looked around and saw a lot of tools and wood and thought I might try and run through it wall, I ran full force and...crashed. I was on the ground with a slight headache when I saw a kinda creepy woman heading toward me, I just walked away. Next thing I know i'm at the school, running around and I super jumped over a row of benches and got a strawberry Big M at the canteen.
But my dad disconnected me shortly after, so I couldn't post this the get the TOTM, and also why I'm not on
I went to bed after listening to some new songs, and the weirdest dream I have ever had. In a room in a warehouse with LostInLA and other church friends. I knew I was in a dream, but I wasn't lucid; it was part of the story. Me and LostInLA wanted to have a shared dream, so we lay on these reclined chairs and took a pill each. I bit into mine and tried to swallow the liquid inside it. As I did something was wrong; people said "No Kevin!" I think I took the wrong pill. I went into a dream, I felt like it was my own mind. I was walking around in my dream. It was a normal place and the dream was very stable and deserted. I was thinking about how I would be in this dream for ages because dreamtime is faster and I was supposedly two layers down. I was walking up this road toward the spot where I had my first lucid moment. I looked behind me and the sun was setting until it was night. *MEMORY GAP* I looked up and It was morning in my dream and I made my way towards where I entered this dream. I saw some stairs which I climbed. At the top there was a doctor's office. I asked the receptionist if I could sit here because I was tired of just walking around. She said yes. There were two other people waiting for the doctor. My church friend Rachael came out of the doctors office and I said "What are you doing here?" I thought it was just my dream. She said something like "I've been here since I got sick." *MEMORY GAP* I realized I was dreaming FOR REAL sometime later. Everything was white and I yelled "Increase clarity now!" three times and rubbed my hands, but again, it felt like I was doing it for real in my bed and that it was too late. WTF?! I think that lucid dreaming feels so real that I think I'm really doing the reality check. Grr... I woke up into the first dream, after everyone was crowded around me shaking me to wake me up. Later, I showed LostInLA my cast coming off; I pulled my arm out of it and it was all sticky and gross. She was like "Ewwww..." I woke up. There was much more than that though. Something about a bus.

DJ Log: September 21, 2010 – Morning, 2:00AM (USA Eastern) Text color legend: · NON-DREAM · NOTES · DREAM · LUCID · (Note: I have not attempted to WILD yet in waking life.) I am preparing to sleep on the floor at a friend's house. The room is a small living room with a couple of couches, a table, and a TV. There are several other DCs preparing to sleep on the couches and other areas of the floor. My laptop is sitting on a small table near where I am laying on the floor. The screen of the laptop is illuminated bright blue, but I cannot read anything on it. I get up and walk outside a sliding glass door onto a dimly lit patio. The air is calm and it is very cool outside. There are a couple of pill bottles sitting on the table. I reach up and pull a shower curtain closed around the table. I open the first bottle and take a tablet out. While holding the first tablet, I open the second bottle and take a large capsule out. I put both of them in my mouth and pick up a glass of water. While tipping the glass to my mouth, I notice that there are more than two capsules in my mouth. I reach in my mouth and remove a couple of partially dissolved capsules and lay them on the table. I think to myself that I'll just save these for later. After swallowing the pills, I walk back to the area on the floor which I previously prepared to sleep. I lay down and adjust my pillow, then pull a small blanket over myself. I close my eyes and after a brief moment, my vision begins to flash and my body starts to vibrate. I got excited for a moment when I realized I was having my first WILD. I experienced a FA, placing me back on the floor at the friend's house. I sit up on the floor and become lucid. I realize that I am dreaming, and nearly just had my first WILD inside of a dream. I was lucid at this point, but had no control. Everything begins to fade as I jump up and look around. I try to look at the floor and stabilize the dream, but it's too late. I am already back in my own bed with my eyes closed, staring at the back of my eyelids. This was the dream's exit. (Note: I was trying to decide whether to attempt re-entry, or get up and write my journal. I chose the latter.)

Two nights ago I had a lovely lucid dream, I noticed everything, the world was very vibrant, I was talking to a man in my dream and he had a very "normal" name, I told myself that I needed to wake up and write down this name because it was different and not part of the dreamworld. I kept telling myself this I felt it was of the utmost importance and that the name was a real name, and that it had something important to do with waking life I kept reminding my self of this, saying his name over and over again. The DC's around me were different than the man, they lacked depth, he did not, he seemed very real and human. The DC's coaxed me after he left me and said "you will remember, don't worry, you will remember, this is so important it will stick and you will remember." I felt like they were trying to get me to forget, they were distracting me until the memory would slip from me. I woke up in the morning vaugly remembering the "real" man and I couldn't remember this important name, I felt irritated with those decietful DC's for stalling me until I forgot.
I had a long dream spent mostly just in dreamview and not lucid. The central characture was friend of my mothers named "Betty" I grew up going to her house where my parents would play dominoes and drink wine, she was always kind to me. The last time I saw her was at my wedding, she and her husband drove four hours from Denver and he took a million pictures for us. We accidently lost their thank you so I wrote her a nice involved long thank you note on Facebook because I had misplaced their address. I think she never got over being offended. When I saw her in my dream I felt that vibe from her, she spent time cleaning my house and helping me with laundry. Finally when she was fixing up my bathroom I decided to become fully lucid and tell her that I knew she wasn't the real"Betty." I said to the DC I know you aren't the real Betty, so which part of me do you represent? The DC was irritated, "which part of you" it asked? "What do you mean, I am not any part of you." "Yes" I replied "I have heard that dream people are representations of parts of ourselves so tell me now, what part are you? What important news do you have to tell me? " She kept saying she wasn't part of my psyche and with each rebufff she grew a few inches taller until she was crowding the bathroom. I felt she was trying to bully me into leaving her alone, like a puffer fish! I consentrated on growing as well but only grew a few inches and kept asking her my question. The DC grew bigger filling up the space and towering over me, I felt a little bit threatened and began to lose stability- so I stuck my finger through my palm to regain my stability. It worked for a moment but as soon as I saw how big the DC had become I fully lost control of my dream and I was kicked out and woke up. I am tired of my DC's giving me a hard time, why won't they just answer my questions!?
Title: Wind Tunnel Date: 9/17/2010 Category: Deep Relaxation Lucidity: Mild Lucidity Keywords: Windy, Cold, Lights, Tunnel, Flashing Description: Today I got up at 06:00. I did my relaxation exercises and put my body into waking sleep paralysis. I was deeply relaxed and breathing comfortably. I broke trance a few times either gasping for air or I had my mouth closed and I would blow out my cheeks. I also tried some visualizations of our house what it looked like from memory walking thru different rooms. I can visualize pretty well, I just have a hard time with the dreaming part. At one point I got cold and put on a blanket. It reminded me of that heavy lead feeling I had a few days ago. Almost immediately, my eyes began to flutter, and then the tunnel effect started with lights flashing all around me. A wave of coldness swept over my body. I then felt and heard wind blowing in my ears. I began to get excited, but tried to keep my energy low as to not collapse the feeling.... and then...NOTHING!!! I woke up. Mental or Emotional State: Excited Interpretation or Meaning: In dreams, air usually represents communication, freedom, or spirit. The sound of wind may represent communication or news. It may also represent a signal from the unconscious. Because wind represents movement, it may symbolize change, as in the phrase "the winds of change."
I had a lucid dream! I was flying, and knew I was dreaming immediately because I was flying I enjoyed this immensely because I was not shocked, and it didn't hit me like many members report, I wasn't over excited, and I didn't wake up. That was one thing I have tried to focus my intention on, approaching lucid dreaming with a calm and stable mind. So, I'm flying with my arms at my sides, parallel to the ground gazing foreward, going a little too fast for me to control, but I do forget to stabilize before trying to accomplish my goals so they don't work unfortunately and I lose lucidity within probably fifteen to twenty seconds. I was flying over a hilly grass area near a very large and beautiful tree, it was daytime. I first tried to change my altitude and method of flight [like hovering, or doing somersaults, etc.] but was unable to, and then I tried to "Earth Bend" like in the animated series Avatar, but I don't recall being able to move anything with my mind. So my next area of concentration will be dream stabilization! [Sorry for the long post about a 15 second dream, but I feel quite proud and exhilarated from my experience, and overjoyed that I am moving closer to understanding the dream state] In the dream immediately following or connected to the LD, I meet up with people I live and work with, and we are driving through rolling countryside along the coast of some huge lake or ocean. It is sunset and breathtakingly beautiful, I feel comfortable and adventurous. We pass through several cities, some we pass around at a height while still in the car. The cities are filled with large buildings seemingly made of adobe or concrete, very circular like Indian temple-skyscrapers, with a feeling reminiscent of elven towns from Lord of the Rings. I ask the driver town names and she gives some names of towns in the state where I live, which I do not notice. We come to a building in a town and enter and it's a type of leisure club, semi circular in design and spiraling upward, long decorative diamond strings hanging down like a mobile in some art museums or libraries. It seems there are many live performers/magicians performing strange things [though I do not remember] One of them gives me some type of small cellular type device connected to a balloon that looks like a large lightbulb. Holding it causes me to fly again, and I am soaring gently over the many people, and fly up through the building, very dark and intimate feeling with red and black tones and candlelight , filled with mystique. I come down to the ground, grab another and fly even higher, and I seem to be the only one flying though I am not a spectacle and I don't mind at all . After flying I sit down with two old men/magicians/performers with beards, like monks or gurus, sitting cross legged and excitedly tell them about the lucid dream I had just experienced, how it felt and what had happened. They look interested and listen attentively, but do not say much - they sit and smile gently at me. As I look at them I am filled with peace and comfort, they give me a sense of encouragement and approval. When I finish my dream, and finish telling them breifly about the concept of lucid dreaming, one tells me, "well, that sounds like a dedicated task." I had several more but must leave now, will update more later in the week since I have no internet access except the library, and will also enter in some memorable dreams from the last few months. Thanks for reading, I'd be glad to get any comments or encouragment or advice.

Title: My First Flight Date: 9/14/2010 Category: Flying Dream Lucidity: Mild Lucidity Keywords: Blackness, Green, Floating / Flying, Vibrations Description: I started at 04:30. I was laying flat on the bed with my hands at my side, relaxing my eyes. I had my Lucid Dream Timer set at 8,4,8,12,16,20,20,6. Within an Hr. I felt vibrations. Scenes were flashing before my eyes. I walked down a path from a house carrying a green plastic cover. I was holding the cover with both hands waving it trying to get all the dirt off. I could not keep the picture in my mind, everything went black. I felt my feet lift off the ground....I was floating. I could not see anything, but I felt it. I was so excited by the prospect of floating that my energy rose too quickly and my dream state collapsed. Note: To maintain the lucid dream state, you must modulate your emotions. (Don't let your energy rise too quickly). Mental or Emotional State: Excited, Happy Interpretation or Meaning: The color green represents luck, money, envy, new beginnings, nature and growth. It may also represent peace. Blackness - Being "reborn" into the next phase of life. Flying may represent freedom, or may represent the spirit. They may also represent rising above your difficulties or overcoming obstacles.
I skipped the last two days for reasons I won't go into, but my dreams had been increasingly vivid and close to lucidity. And now a sort of breakthrough. 45 Minute Lucid (dild) I woke up at 10, set me alarm and was back to sleep in a few minutes. Woke at 10:50. Lucidity weakened in some spots but I kept rediscovering lucidity, tried a few new things, my attempts at dream control were abysmal. I saw an old man in a wheelchair fly and knew I was dreaming. There was one scene where I get on my computer. I try to create a "Prof X" folder to see secret documents inside about his location but the computer acts too funny to use correctly. I click on a DV icon and open a chat and ask for a walk through. "Waka*blank* messages me (I don't know him, never heard of him) and we chat but he isn't helpful. I then try to slowly climb into my monitor but stuck halfway and exit. I tried to enter my neighbors house but it never quite worked out. First, I lost vision but got it back. Then it happened again so I spun and teleported to what looked like a sort of farm with a barn. I lady peers at me from inside. A huge bull emerges. It attacked and I try to draw a sword but nothing. I grab its charging horns with my bare hands and rip them off, then stab it to death. I explore my house, talk to my family at dinner about dreams, tell them about the earlier attempt at TV transportation attempt I enjoy a soft, flat taco. We are attacked my some gang but that part is pretty fuzzy. Eventually I was wondering if I was ever going to wake up, I sat down and stared at my hand. I tried to zoom in on it to the atomic level but nothing really happened. I wake myself up. So I really didn't get much accomplished.
Two LDs, but hardly impressive. I didn't sleep well so I don't think I could have stabilized these tiny dreams. But before all that, I once again practiced the daydream while trying to fall sleep. I'm going to make it a part of my regular routine so I'll note it in my journal in green. It's neat that I can recall the daydreams without any written notes. Wow, it's long. This is more like me writing a short story than a dream. If you're just looking for the actual dreams, skip down to the bottom. Daydream: I'm running down a dark tunnel like a railroad tunnel with a light at the end. I'm going to search for the portal to the dream world, but first I'm going to look for that little town that I was in last night. As I'm running, I wonder what to call this place between the physical world and the dream world. But instead of picking a name, I decide I'll ask someone when I get there. In the tunnel, a giant spider blocks my way. I'm afraid but I decide to face the fear. I try to talk to him and befriend him. I even pet him. I know that he's not a monster. He is a guardian, protecting me from entering a place I'm not yet ready for. It's the place that is dangerous, not the guardian. When I have faced my fear, I will be ready and the guardian will let me pass. The spider is friendly and lets me past. He will help me again in the future. I emerge from the tunnel into a sunny valley with a quaint Renaissance-era town with cobblestone streets and houses. I imagine it looks like France and many of the people have French accents. I want to find Juliette and Marie again so we can all go to the dream world together. In the center of the town is a church. I go in and ask a nun where Juliette and Marie are. She says Marie lives across the street. I enter Marie's house and she's alone. I ask where Juliette is. Marie is worried. Juliette has gone missing. I say we'll find her. I grab Marie and jump high above the city. Marie points out Juliette's house and we swoop down. Inside we find Juliette's mother. She is upset. She says Juliette left alone to look for the portal. The mother is angry at me because I was the one that told people about the dream world. I promise I will find Juliette and bring her back. "Which direction would she have gone?" "East," the mother says, "toward the rising sun." Marie and I head east and talk along the way. She tells me the name of this place is Never. It's a small town in the middle of a varied, realistic landscape. She says it's always been here. Apparently, nothing changes and people don't grow old. Kids go to school to learn Nothing. Marie and Juliette don't go to school, they are a few years older than that. No one has ever left. Juliette was the first one to try to leave. I ask, "What is east of Never?" She says, "The forest, and beyond it the mountains." We reach the edge of the forest. It's a dark and foreboding woodland forest like one would see in Europe. Marie is afraid but I reassure her that everything will be okay. The giant spider returns. Marie is terrified but I try to stay calm and talk to the spider. I explain the situation and ask for his help. He gives me a rope made of his silk. He tells me to tie the rope to a tree at the forest edge. I can follow the rope back out of the forest so I won't get lost. Brilliant! I turn around and Marie is happy and has a basket full of muffins. I eat one and it's delicious. I ask where and how she got freshly baked muffins. She says she's the daughter of the town baker and she can bake anything out of anything. She says Juliette is the daughter of the blacksmith and make any tool. She doesn't seem to think these magical powers are unusual. We walk through the forest, trying to find paths and signs that Juliette would also have followed. We meet a large sparrow and I try to talk with him to ask for help. He doesn't speak, but he comes with us perched on my arm. We come upon areas of bright yellow light that teleport us to other parts of the forest. I check the rope and it's still taught, so I trust it will still lead the way out. Marie and I stop to rest and lo and behold Juliette finds us. We are relieved and follow the rope out of the forest and then walk back to town. Me, J, and M try to think where the dream portal could me. They really want to know about the dream world and also the physical world. I become aware of physical body and I feel like I'm being pulled out of Never. Eventually I let go come back to the physical world, still awake. 0005: C. My notes are mostly illegible. I remember it being a robust dream but all I can decipher from my notes is this: Hugh, Dave, and I ... Star Trek. Dave ... beer ... has a character like Captain Picard ... They introduce themselves. One girl is a comedian and this intrigues me. 0637: D. I'm in bed and it's dark. I think I have a laptop. I hear Linkin Park music. I'm typing in "laser" to a web browser to search. But I keep spelling it wrong. Then I think I've got it right but the browser shows an error page. I think it's because I spelled it wrong. But I realize it's an internet connection problem. I think, maybe Hugh pulled the plug? Why would he do that? I start to get out of bed when suddenly I'm being dragged out of bed by the wire on my headphones. I'm pulled toward the desk in my room, defying gravity. Ugh. I'm dreaming. But these are hardly good conditions. I'm being ripped through the air by my ears in great pain and darkness. "Stabilize!" No luck. Dream ends abruptly. 0740: D. I'm in bed (again) lying on my right side. I open my eyes and the view is distorted. It's like the picture is being sucked into a vortex somewhere to the upper left. I realize I'm dreaming (again) but these aren't good conditions (again). "Stabilize!" I rub my left hand across the mattress sheet to get some tactile sensation. Dream ends abruptly.

It seems like I cant have ONE lucid dream. They come in packs of two. It's the third time now that I get two LDs in two nights. Awesum. However, when it comes to Control, I am just chasing my tail. Like I get lucid and go: Yay! Now what? Dream 1: This was the smoothest transition so far. I just walked in my living room and did an RC for no reason, while not being lucid at all. Then I went: Wait, this is a dream. Well thats convenient! This time I tried summoning Meghan Fox, for practical purposes. All I got was my cat, for real. Epic fail. But something weird did happen. As I got in my room to desperatly practice my DC, the light is low. I want the lights to be on, so I turn on my lamp. And it worked. I thought lights werent supposed to work in dreams. Im gonna post about this in the forum later. Im tired of reading other people's DJs saying they had epic control in their second dream. FUCK YOU Dream 2: When I LD, for some reason I keep getting minimal non-ld recall. But this one goes from scene to scene, all related to school. Im in class, but I forget my music book. I go get it and get a manquement. Multiple times, I see Ana and Samuel, who arent in our school anymore. I talk around. When I go up the stairs with another guy, and Alice grabs me, saying shes jealous because Laure has tons of guys that like her and shes got none. In another scene, I play some kind of Dieu Merci with Justine, along with other ppl. But what I remember very clearly is when I went to play Mario Kart with dudes, but then they all left so I started playing alone and kept trying the last level. It is a big bowser face. Then in a hidden spot, I see the Badass Hog from the game Monster Dash.
7 is the magic number. Scientists are telling us now that, due to research backed results, anything more or less than 7 hours of sleep is relatively bad for you. Let us assume that an average person follows this religiously, and then let us assume that he lives to be a ripe age-of-majority (I think) 75 years old. That means that this average person spends about 191, 625 hours sleeping (not counting Leap-years). Not doing anything, and MAYBE he'll get a good dream out of it if he's lucky. But most people can't remember many of their dreams, and when they do, it feels so aloof that it doesn't seem like they've experienced it. For me, that has always been unsettling until I discovered a place called Dream Views five years ago. Through constant research I began my quest to understand the power of lucid dreaming and how to manipulate my dreams. However, my attempts were mostly made up of WILDs during the night before I was going to sleep, which ended in failure every time. Suffice to say I got less and less motivated because, as you'd probably be the first to tell me, I wasn't motivated in the first place. Well this all changed once I saw the movie "Inception", and found out that Christopher Nolan (the director) has been lucid dreaming since he was 7 years old. Anyhow, maybe you already knew all this, but the main point of this blog is this: I've been researching lucid dreaming for almost 5 years; it has always fascinated me since reading about it, and due to the huge amount of tutorials here on Dream Views, I've learned quite a bit. But I've never been able to pull it off until a few weeks ago thanks to the CANWILD technique by CrazyInsane. So, below are the dreams I had, and on which days. I now understand that not only is Lucid Dreaming possible, but that the dream world is as real as ours in every way, and that the connection you can build to the events in your dreams feel as if they are true experiences that you yourself have gone through; and they remain in your mind as memories of your life- best of all, you feel as if you've done something with those 7 or however many hours you've slept, rather than that you've just slept through part of your life. Tuesday Night (August 3rd): Ok, so the first one I attempted as soon as I read a tutorial. I downloaded the sound and alarm clock, set it, and went to bed. Unfortunately, I was SO excited, that I couldn't get to sleep for the longest time. I'd finally fall asleep then have a long, vivid dream (non-lucid) and then wake up. Get a drink, go back to bed, unable to sleep, then finally get to sleep, and have another vivid non-lucid dream, wake up etc, for about three of these cycles. However, in the final one, I was having a dream and decided to look at my clock as I've trained myself to do, and lo and behold, it wasn't consistent (for digital clocks in dreams never are)! So I thought "Aha! This is a dream!" so I immediately started rubbing my hands together and examining them and things got ultra-real. So I decided to examine the mechanics of my dreaming mind, how things behaved, etc. I remember feeling completely aware, I remember checking the mirror to see what I looked like and I looked the same and was kinda disappointed but the image was slanted, also I'm 80% sure that I created things to see how that worked, basically this was a training exercise for me, and that's how I worked it. When things started to get blurry or dark, I'd rub my hands together again and continue exploring. I'd say I was in the dream for a perceivable hour. When I awoke, the next day I had such a sensation of accomplishment, as though I'd actually done something with the time that I'd otherwise be wasting in sleep, and I pondered what I would do next. So, for the first lucid dream I was not able to use the clock, but I became lucid because of how anticipant I was. Anyhow, the next day at work I checked the clock constantly, did more reality checks, and thought of what I'd like to do next. Anyhow, I decided I'd like to learn summoning next, and so I picked Tricia Helfer as my subject. I theorized that if I was to summon her, as per this site's guidelines, it would need to be believable, so I theorized that using my phone (which is my "totem" if you will as I also use it to check the time to make sure it's consistent) to have her on speed dial would do it, that or going to a building that seemed like the kind she might be at. Besides, I also read here on Dream Views that having a Dream Character help you in whatever task you are trying in the dream world, stabilizes the dream So, I got home, read up on more techniques especially in controlling a dream, decided the passive way was best, and went to sleep. Wednesday Night (August 4th): Well, AGAIN I was too excited to sleep and had much difficulty, but since I remained awake, I entered SP (Sleep Paralysis) at one point, tried to sit up in it, but ended up waking myself up and recalling that someone had posted and said it's better not to because you risk waking up (Better to just enter the dream). 'However that is supposed to be done.' I thought. Anyhow, later, the alarm went off! And I heard it but faintly, and so I thought "this is it!" I was already in SP and was waiting, trying to remember what to do, when my body felt like the top half of it was being lifted. But not my physical body, more like a floating body, if you know what I mean. Anyhow, I thought I'd just let it happen, so I did, I got lifted up till my top-half was 90 degrees with the bed, then I shot up out of the room and entered the dream (which was my room lol) but I was standing in it. Anyhow, I remembered how the day before I had been talking to my cousin about doors and if you could make some other destination appear when you open the door, to go to that is. So anyhow, I opened the door and it was just like the norm in my house and I got frustrated and slammed the door. Can't remember what happened next but eventually I got into a fancy restaurant and thought "this is where I'll find Tricia Helfer" and when approached by the hostess I said "Yes for two, but she may be here already" so I went into the dining room but found that she wasn't there. I thought this odd because I thought I was being quite cunning in my manipulations but I waited for a while and she still never showed up. So I thought "why don't I call her?" so I checked my phone, and sure enough she was on my speed dial, I called her and she said she wouldn't be able to make it. At that point I thought "I thought I was controlling this dream? Guess I'm not.". But she said she'd meet me "somewhere" so anyhow, I ended up walking down the street when suddenly, from the sky, came a rocket ship, crashing into the ground like the canisters of weapons on Halo 3. The policeman opened it and freaked out. When I got there, I saw it was Tricia Helfer inside and I explained to the officer (to his confusion) that I knew her and it was fine. So we left, I asked her what took her so long, I forget what she said, but I pondered why she had come out of the sky rather than just be "around the corner" so to speak (which is supposedly one of the best ways to summon things in a dream. just know that it's around the corner or, like I tried, in the restaurant). Anyhow, we both navigated through the dream and there were some people after her for some reason but mostly I tried to get a handle on creating things. Again, I felt completely aware in this dream but found it odd that I was jumping from one location to the next. But that's it. I tried the next night again but to no avail as I was so exhausted having not eaten for hours because I had to go look at a house straight from work. To date however I have had no lucid dreams and am getting frusterated because it was all so easy, but not so much anymore. Anyhow, I will continue to look to you here on Dream Views for more inspiration and support, and I'd like to say thanks for my progress so far.
Note: I fell asleep with the goal of meeting up with MoSh, who said he wants to get in contact with his guide and ask him a few questions, but before that MoSh had said he would help out in an attempt to heal my ailing pet, Frodo, who is a guinea pig who seems to be suffering from a serious illness. I don't know how much chance there is of doing a dream healing on that, but I figure there is nothing to be lost by trying. I fell asleep, aiming for a WILD, but epic fail… I got up out of bed, annoyed at myself that I had been unable to successfully enter a WILD, I wondered what is going on with me that it seems to be so much trouble getting into a WILD. It either works wonderfully or epic fails, and I am getting pretty tired of it. I went into the bathroom to use the facilities before going back to bed, somewhere around the bathroom door I thought I had better do a RC , I did that, and discovered I was already in a dream! Now that I was lucid I completely forgot my need to use the bathroom and considered what my goals were, I didn't remember everything clearly, but I remembered MoSh was part of it, so I would start by getting to MoSh's inner world. I tried to open a portal, but nothing happened, wtf? I knew I was dreaming and that I should be able to open a portal, but it wasn't working, which was just another annoyance. I saw the closed door to my game room and focused on it leading to MoSh's inner world, but when I opened it, all I found was my game room. Frodo was in his cage making some soft noises that sounded more like groans of pain that purrs, so I went over to check on him, he didn't look good at all. That was when I remembered the goal of healing him, and I remembered MoSh and Pablo had both offered to help, so maybe I could do that first if I wasn't able to open a portal to find MoSh… um… but I still had to find MoSh… I decided maybe if I could just get out of my own inner world I might be able to go find MoSh and Pablo, but I wasn't even sure how to do that… I cursed out loud at the fact I was lucid and yet I didn't seem to remember how to use my abilities that I have been using for so long. How to open a portal 101, sounded corny, but that's what went through my mind. Step 1: Decide on a destination. Done, I was going to Pablo's inner world. Step 2: Focus on the image clearly in my mind. Done, I had a nice image of the forest I have seen repeatedly in Pablo's inner world. Step 3: Use Through the Never by Metallica while tracing a circle in the air to indicate where the portal will open. Through the Never, that was the problem, I didn't have any way to play music. I went back to my bedroom to find my purse, I needed my iPod, that would have the song I needed… but I couldn't find it, there was nothing but $20 bills stuffed in my purse. I finally found a music player of some kind… it was weird, but I knew it would do, and I somehow knew Through the Never was on it… so I played the song and opened a portal, which I went through. On the other side of the portal I was exactly where I wanted to be, I took a step forward as I scanned the forest for any sign of Pablo, I tripped, and I face planted right there in the grass. What had I just tripped over? I turned to look and I saw there had been a fox right at my feet, and he was what I had tripped over, now the fox was just eyeing me with a mixture of amusement and concern. I got up and dusted myself off, since I had landed in the grass it hadn't hurt at all, and I asked the fox if he had somehow planned that. The fox shook his head, but I hadn't really meant it seriously anyway. I said I had come looking for Pablo, he had said he would help me heal my pet, which triggered the fox to transform from an adult fox to an adorable little cub and then jump into my arms. I caught the cute little bundle and gave him a hug before returning to my inner world through the same portal I had used to get there in the first place. Once I was back in my own house, still holding a cute little fox pup, I saw MoSh was already there and seemed a bit surprised to see me back. He asked me where I had been, I just responded by holding up the fox, he said he had thought I was going to come see him. I said I had tried, but my portals weren't working very well. He said ok, then said he wanted to visit his guide, I said he'd agreed to help me heal Frodo, he said ok to that. We went into my game room where Frodo was in his cage, still huddled in the corner making some noises that didn't sound good, so we did a healing spell on him, then Nomad showed up and we did it again. I wondered if the healing spells had any chance of working if the little guy had cancer… I didn't want to be thinking like that, but I couldn't help it. MoSh said he hoped the little guy got to feeling better soon, I said I also hoped for that. MoSh asked if we could go meet up with his guide now, I said sure, I was not sure if I could open the portal, but I tried it… nothing happened. I still wasn't getting anywhere towards opening a portal, so I grabbed my music player and opened the portal as I ignored MoSh saying he would do that. I didn't want to admit I couldn't do it myself, it was too annoying. MoSh and I went through the portal and exited into his inner world. I looked around to see if I could find his guide, but I didn't see anyone else anywhere around. MoSh said he knew where his guide wanted to meet up, so he would open the portal. He did that, we went through, and we met up with MoSh's guardian. It turned out that MoSh wanted to know if his guide knew anything about what might happen in the year 2012. I don't remember exactly how the conversation went, but Victor and MoSh were talking about it for a time, and this is what I remember. Victor said that the year 2012 doesn't indicate the date of some kind of fire and brimstone / rapture type end of the world, he said the end that could be beginning in 2012 is caused by much more mundane sources… people. And it's not something that will happen overnight, rather it is something that is already in progress, but will be more apparent after 2012. It basically has to do with consuming more resources than can be replenished, leading to some serious issues, basically if people don't start being more careful with how they take care of natural resources, there won't be anything left. But there is still time to change things before it's too late, so there is not necessarily anything serious to be started after 2012… Victor talked about the different things that people are doing to self-destruct as well as destroying the rest of the world. Using too many resources will lead to shortages worldwide, famines, droughts, war… As he was talking about all of the negative predictions my mind wandered, and I realized I wasn't paying as much attention to that as maybe I should have since I have basically heard it all before, and I have little hope that anything is going to change before it's too late. The next thing I noticed was that MoSh was asking me if I was hearing anything Victor was saying at all. I said sure, I was, but I've heard it all before, and nothing is going to change, so what's the point? Victor was now talking about music, he was talking about remembering dream music in waking life. This was something I was quite interested in, so I was paying attention again. Victor was talking about remembering the first part of the song being the most important part, because if we make sure and remember the first part then the rest of it will be much easier to recall. MoSh and I were practicing on a song I didn't recognize, he was playing his guitar while I played on an electronic keyboard. I tried the song the first time… epic fail. I thought I heard MoSh laughing… I was going to be annoyed, but I didn't allow that since I really had epic failed at the song… I tried again, and this time I did a bit better. MoSh was doing very well on his guitar, my keyboard playing still left much to be desired. We tried it one more time. I still thought that while his music rocked, mine was still second rate, but at least it seemed to be passable.. I was happy at the improvement I had accomplished, MoSh was talking to Victor about what else helps. Victor said that it is important to play the song ourselves instead of just listening to it. It can be done with just hearing it, but playing it makes the tune stay in the mind much better. I continued playing the song on the keyboard, and MoSh was playing along with the guitar, and I was wondering if I might be able to remember this IWL. I was hoping I could, then I woke.
