    1. And They Built a Crooked House

      by , 12-30-2010 at 04:01 AM
Walking across parking lot, I caught the wind and rose into the air and became lucid. I flew through some high tension wires just for fun, and kept rising until I was much higher than normal, looking down at several cities at once, like on Google Earth. One city near the Southern California Pacific coast caught my eye and I wondered if there was any damage there due to mudslides, so I flew down to check it out. As I approached, I saw something that made me very sad, a house halfway tipped over on its side at the edge of a cliff over the beach. But as I flew closer, I saw that the owners had already gutted the house and rebuilt the insides with level floors, and there were children playing inside! It made me feel all warm inside to see such dogged determinism win out over a natural disaster. I awoke feeling empowered.

    2. Where am I?

      by , 12-29-2010 at 11:22 PM
I awake in a cemetery I've known all my life, there lies my cousins and closest friends. I run of joy to visit their graves, but then somehow the cemetery seems different each step I take. I pause, look around and ask myself "Is this the cemetery?", and then again it resembled. As I look at the ground and walk in search of cousins grave I say with joy " Primos! Primos!", meaning cousins in Spanish, the cemetery then changes again. At that point I was confused, and the strangest thing was that no one else was present, there's always someone else in my dreams.

As I stood still my dream shifts scenario, now I'm in a school like environment. As I walk, I look around to find anyone I recognize to ask them "Where am I". But no one there out of I'd say 150 people was familiar. This was really strange for me because never in my lucid dreams has there not been someone I recognize. I then head to a group of people and one of them, a nerd looking kid, looks at me before I get there and I point to my wrist repeatedly. He didn't know at first what I was signaling, until I asked him and while still pointing " What time is it?", and he replied "3:27 p.m". I didn't reply anything and kept walking, he looked at me and then turned back with his group.

Then I see another kid, alone, which i didn't recognize, and I asked him " Where am I", but he didn't reply but we both start walking together like if I was suppose to follow him. Then I began to tell him how I got there. I told him " I fell asleep and I woke up in a cemetery I thought I recognized, but then it started to switch around, and now I ended up here", then without saying a word he pointed to a well dressed man coming towards us. The man said "Come with me", and I followed him from behind for a few seconds, but then I paused and I told him " Wait! I know who you are", and he stopped and looked back at me. Then I said "Your from the government aren't you?", he gave me a brief smile and nodded yes. He kept walking and I followed, we got to some fences and there was a open gate, and he said " Go through". I walked out and I looked back into the school like place with all the people in there, I walked along the fence while the well dressed man followed from the other side of the fence. For some reason I sensed something was really wrong, so I used my techniques and I jumped over the fence and back into the school like place. The well dressed man said "No! Stop", and then I told him "watch this!" (I was trying to show him my ability to fly) and he said " no don't do it", like he knew what I was going to show him. I was about to jump and start flying but some kind of force hold me down. I was surprised because never has this happened, and then I froze and again asked myself "Where am I".

    3. 2/6 Tue: Many Hazy Dreams and Two Short Lucids

0537: Prepare for sleep with games. Dreams get wiped.

      The Beach at Night
      Method WILD
      Lucidity D
      Vividness C
      Control C
0618: I visualize a sunny beach, but instead I find myself on a beach in the very dark of night. Nonetheless, there are many people around, laying as if to sunbathe. I am laying down as if sleeping. A girl walks up to me and greets me. She extends her hand to help me stand up. She has short black hair. I can barely make out her other features in the darkness. She leads me down the beach toward the water. We hop over a man laying on his back.

We get near the water and I notice the water and sand. The sand isn't smooth. It's clumpy, like a stampede of horses just trampled through. The attention to detail improves my lucidity a bit. I turn to look at the girl and realize how pretty she is. I pull her in close and kiss her. Then I say confidently and excited: "Let's go in the water!" Now I lead her by the hand a few steps into the water. Then I say, "No wait, let's go ON the water!" I start running on the water's surface, pulling her along. She's a bit scared but also excited. I feel the wind on my face as we go faster and faster. I say "We can go anywhere we want. And we can go as fast as we want!"

We are zooming along the water, parallel to the coastline. We are approaching a city in the distance. A collection of twinkling lights and buildings barely visible in the darkness. I jump off the water and soar into the city, landing on a street surrounded by tall buildings. I look around. The girl is gone. Whoops. End.

0729: Person talking about dreams. In body. Other person gets trapped in dream. ... we are OK.

      Work and Games
0757: Menial tasks at work. Patching and doing regression tests. Playing the game. Zombies in a dark room. Playing another game. Humans sieging an elven city. They reach the queen's chamber and challenge her army to a final battle.

      Game with Trippy Time
      Method DILD (absurdity)
0815: Playing a FPS game with Hugh. He takes the lead and I follow. We are walking down a hilly city street. We reach an intersection and I look left. I see a bunch of enemies. We all turn to shoot. I only have a pistol. I fire fire shots at a guy at point blank range. But the world seems to freeze. Then it unfreezes and the five shots all go at once.

Then suddenly I seem to be on an acid trip. I see swirling colors and symbols of drugs and poison.
I notice this is all so strange and become lucid. Then immediately a false awakening. It's dark and I'm in my own room. I'm confused and disoriented. End.

      fragment
One last dream in here but I didn't write down. It was long. Babysitting for some rich family. Then going to a bar near a beach. Tornado warning coming in from the water. Helicopters somehow fly over the tornado and weaken it. Order drinks at the bar. See the pretty young girl I was supposed to be babysitting. She's been following me.

    4. Accessing Parallel Realities

      by , 12-29-2010 at 07:40 PM
      Hello everyone!

I am new to the forum and figured the best way to introduce myself would be to share one of my most favorite LD's. This one continued to blow my mind long after i woke up..

      The (actual) Setting:

I wake up from a very humorous dream that i just had to replay in my mind a couple of times. I then realize that the reason i woke up was either because the morning sun was blinding me, or because the couch i was sleeping on might as well have been made with bricks. Time to find a new place to sleep. I walk into my friends bedroom where two other friends of mine are sleeping on the bed. I find a suitable piece of floor and lay down.

      The Dream

Not even a minute goes by before I hear some kind of Hawaiian music start to play. (I am dreaming now) I lift my head to find the source of the music. I find that it is coming from a small clock radio on top of a small dresser that is right in front of where I am sleeping. I hear my friend say something about turning it off and I begin to stand. Before I can get all the way up, the music abruptly stops playing. This confuses me, and I look over to my friend as if he could give me some sort of explanation. Instead, he is glaring at me and mumbles something inaudible. I ask if he would like me to leave the room and he offers no reply. I take that as a yes, and make my way into the living room. Hmmm.. something is different. There is a slight fog in the room and everything has a blue tint to it. Not even 5 minutes ago this room was too bright for me to even sleep in. What gives? Ohh...

The familiar excitement of lucidity rushes through my body as I look around the room like a mad man. What to do? Endless possibility sitting right in front of me. I don't want to waste it by getting too excited and blasting through the roof just to fly around and get bored like the last five lucid dreams I had.. So I think about it for a moment, and wonder what would happen if I were to do the exact opposite. As soon as the idea crosses my mind, gravity takes hold and I fall right through the floor. This is where it gets weird.

I fall for what felt like maybe 50ft, and then stop myself. I am now in an endless black void. Even though there is no point of reference, I have the feeling that this space has no limits. Awesome, i think to myself.. The lack of expectation has given me a complete lack of results. So much for that experiment. I stick around for a short while trying to keep my head clear, and I begin to notice a faint pattern around me. Tiny white dots, in a symmetrical grid-like pattern. They almost look like stars yet they are completely uniform, and of equal distance to each other. I take a look around and sure enough, they are in every direction I look. My eyesight wanders for a few seconds before I stop and focus on one star. I then notice that particular section of stars appears to be growing closer to me. And gaining velocity. Its as if I were remaining still, but these stars are crossing that infinite distance and flying directly towards me. I keep my gaze centered on the one star. I'm able to see it more clearly, and it is growing in size. It is now at an unthinkable speed, and not only has it reached me, but it has seemed to swallow me whole.

The star has now filled my entire field of vision. In a flash my surroundings changed from black to the brightest white light. And just as fast as it came, it started to fade away. Disoriented, I take a look at my new surroundings. That same familiar blue tint.. Wait a minute, im standing in the exact same place in which I started out! Only this time it is different. The fog is gone, and the furniture is not the same. There used to be a pool table in the middle of the room, but now there is nothing but a single chair up against the corner of the wall i am facing. I realize there is someone sitting in the chair, and then notice it isn't human. This grey creature had a frail wrinkled body, and was hunched over. His Head was of an enormous oval shape, and towards the bottom he had two tiny, glowing white eyes. He was just staring at me. Sitting in an empty room and staring at me..

I start to run directly at this creepy looking alien creature, only to find that it is not an alien at all. Rather, It is a frightened looking father holding his son and daughter under each arm. Its important to note, that as I began to run towards this thing, I hear a woman's voice screaming "I KNOW WHEN YOU WEAR A F***ING MASK!" Although I did not pay any attention to the voice after I heard it. So here I am, standing in front of this poor family who I must have scared the living s*** out of. And I begin looking for something else to do. I look to my left and see a mirror hanging on the wall. Well I always thought this would be fun to do.. And I proceed to walk through the mirror. As I am about halfway through the mirror, I hear the woman's voice a second time, still screaming. "BECAUSE I HAD A SECOND DREAM" Now im interested. I wanted to hear what else she would say about dreaming, and i wanted to stay in the room. But i was already through the mirror and then the dream rapidly fades. I wake up.

      Summary

Okay, there is a lot I would like to point out about this dream. Some of which I didn't notice until a week or two afterward. Some of my theories about OBE's and dream reality's may differ from yours.. but this is my take on what happened.

      The Void

It still makes me laugh when I think about it. The reason I wanted to drop through the floor was because I had absolutely no expectations as to what I would find down there. Sure enough I ended up in the exact same place I started, only slightly different. I believe that if I were to focus in on any one of the adjacent stars, besides the one I chose, then I would have ended up in a similar variation of the same room. It seemed as if there were an unlimited number of stars I could have picked, and If parallel reality's do in fact exist then there must be an unlimited number of them as well.. Right? idk.

      The Creature

I'm not sure whether I believe that some dream characters may actually be conscious beings or not. Of course many of them are simply projections of our own subconscious, but hear me out. After thinking over the dream a few times, i began to think about it from the creatures perspective. As if he were in a dream of his own, and the big scary human came out of nowhere and charged at him. He sure acted that way. It seemed that he may have used a kind of defense mechanism (shape shifting) to cause me to lose interest with him. Yet even though his appearance had changed, his emotion hadn't. The father and two children were really freaked out. Like trembling. Well it worked anyways.

      The Voice

I heard that voice but I knew there was no one else in the room. So then It either must have come from the creature, or myself. It obviously wasn't him. I had a feeling that it was being directed at him. It couldn't have been myself.. could it? it would fit perfectly. As the creature changed shape, the voice said "I know when you wear a mask" .. Okay, so if I were to know that he had just changed form, that's probably what I would have said to him. The next thing the voice said, "Because I had a second dream" think about it. The only reason i became lucid in the first place was because I had a second dream after the first one, where I got up and changed rooms.

The only possible explanation I can think of, for that voice to have emanated from myself, is that it was my subconscious, projecting the voice at the creature without me currently being aware. Although I didn't know what was going on at that time, but.. I do now. And If parallel reality's do exist. Then then I don't think time is really much of a boundary to my consciousness anyways.

Another small thing I should note. I believe this was actually an astral projection, in that I stood up from where my physical body was still laying. Also, once I actually woke up from the dream and stood up, i looked at the dresser and saw there was an alarm clock that looked exactly the same as the one in the dream. only the real one was unplugged and had the chord wrapped around it. I had never seen the clock prior to that. So if that isn't a solid validation to AP then idk what is. anyways thanks for reading. Sorry for the length! Im looking forward to your replies, input, criticism whatever! and also looking forward to becoming a member of your board.

    5. lucid again

      by , 12-29-2010 at 06:46 PM
Dream 1: I'm in my old 5th grade classroom. I look around and I'm amazed at how vivid this was. My class is doing a paper and I look at the heading that reads my name and teacher. What I thought was weird is that the teacher name is Mr.Gonos, who has been dead for three years now. I look up and he's talking to me. I don't remember what he's saying, but he looked like he was talking sarcastically, he was always pretty sarcastic anyway. I think to myself "Wait a minute, your dead, and I'm in your classroom, I must be dreaming!". I'm lucid at this point and I do a nose pinch reality check. I try to remain calm and close my eyes and just try to relax, but it feels like I sort of pass out and then I open my eyes and I see my substitute teacher for the year after Mr.Gonos died. Btw, she is smoking hot. I think I lost lucidity at this point because things were more normal and made more sense. Her sister who was a full time teacher at the school came in with a box of stuff. I don't remember what the two of them were saying but it sounded like they were arguing.

Fragment: For what I vaguely remember is that I was in sandbar sort of area in the inter coastal. There were a few people from school in the water with me. We were running towards a anchored boat. I definitely remember that a kid from my school was laughing his ass off about something.

Dream 3: I know I had other dreams but I forgot to record them earlier when I woke up so the memories of them are long gone... But anyway I remember somehow getting into this room that I'm 95% sure that it was some part of my school, even though it really isn't in waking life. So I'm sitting down on the floor with other kids that I regularly hang out with. The scene kid group walks in and the one kid that we used to hang out with hugs his scene/emo girlfriend and her and other scene kids walk to the far end of the room while he sits down near us. I say something like "What's this queer doing here" and he said some other stuff, I think he said something about my mom. I start bagging on his girlfriend and he's pissed now. He says something else about my mom and I think I was pissed off now. I go for a one-legged take down on him and he sprawls on me and I weave out using this technique I learned in my BJJ class. I look back at his face and he looks at me, except this time he isn't that fag kid, he is my friend who I'm cool with.

    6. First successful, intentional WILD! Yay!

by , 12-29-2010 at 06:19 PM (The Lab Notebook)
[Fragment] I'm in a grocery store, sitting at a disused checkout stand. The store has recently been rearranged so that the checkout stands that are actually being used are on the opposite side of the building, but the old ones were left in place.

      I'm parking my Saturn
[the car I had in Florida] in the parking lot of an Albertsons grocery store [none that I've ever been to in real life]. I notice that the temperature gauge on the car is maxed out [as it usually was in reality]. I think about how I have to make this car last all year because, in my situation, there's no other method of getting to work that will do. [In this dream,] I'm back in Florida for a second year.

When I went back to bed after having taken some handwritten notes on the above dream, I noticed that my body already felt heavy. I decided to roll with it and try to WILD. I had attempted to do so a few days before during an afternoon nap, and had gotten as far as one of my arms starting to go numb before my mom interrupted me with a question. This time, I succeeded, and to my surprise, it wasn't nearly as scary as I had thought it would be. My hypnagogic hallucinations consisted of a buzzing sound in my head that seemed to go on for a few minutes. Then it stopped, and a few seconds later, I find myself lying in my bed, looking around at my current bedroom. I immediately recognize the false awakening for what it is, since I had been expecting to be dreaming. I did it! I think excitedly.

None of the lights appear to be on, and yet I can see everything clearly. In other words, the room looks very much the way it does when early-morning sunlight is coming in through the window, and yet I'm aware that it's nighttime. I get out of bed and start walking out of the room. Just before I walk out the door, I do the nose-pinch RC just to verify what I already know, and for the cool experience. I can still breathe, which I still think is the neatest sensation.

I go out the door and walk down the hallway. This looks exactly like my real house. There's no one else around. As I pass by the door to P.'s room, I notice light coming from underneath it, but this is normal in our house, so I don't investigate. I go to the front door and open it. It's exactly like the real one, too; I even have to unlock the deadbolt on the screen door before I can open it and go outside.

I walk along the front walk. I notice that I'm wearing one of my summer nightshirts, the one with the teacups printed on it and the pocket in the front. It occurs to me that I could have stopped and gotten dressed if I had thought of it, but I didn't, and it doesn't matter anyway because this is a dream, so it's only natural for me to be wearing sleepwear. I'm not cold at all, though.
[The strange part, which, of course, I didn't realize was strange until I'd woken up, was that I wasn't wearing that nightshirt in reality; I was wearing my new purple pajamas. It does get cold at night in the winter here, so I always wear pajamas in winter.]

The scenery outside my house looks just like reality, too. When I get to the driveway, I take off and fly in the way that I've learned to do it, by pushing gently off the ground with my legs and feet while thinking about initiating the act of flying. [The mental process involved is very similar to the mental process involved in starting my bicycle moving with that first push on the pedals, now that I think of it.] It works, but once again, once I get airborne, I immediately start getting pulled backward. I try to relax and let myself be pulled along, as before, but it seems I'm not being taken anywhere in particular. Then I hear a male voice that seems to come from the air around me, and yet sounds like it's coming through a radio speaker. It says something along the lines of, “If you always expect life to go the way you want it to go...” but doesn't finish the thought. I finish the thought with, “...you won't be able to control it?” [Hmm. Very interesting.] [Because, once again, I've forgotten to concentrate and pay attention to the scenery,] the dream fades and I wake up.

[This next dream is from my next sleep cycle on this same night. I'm adding this section on 1/15/11. I didn't have time to write all this out on the day I had the dream, but I did today.]

I'm watching a series of commercials and reading some poster-sized ads for kids' day camp programs at a chain of big, fancy hotels. There are two such programs: one is called “adventure camp” and features soccer, while the other is called “non-adventure camp” and features poetry and other non-athletic, creative activities.

Then, I'm at one of the big, fancy hotels, sitting on the floor in the lobby, leaning up against a wall. I use my laptop to log in to a game website, not Neopets but similar to it, that I've been to before. I wonder, Do I remember my password for this site? The login screen plays music. A lady comes by and asks me to go outside, where the music won't disrupt the quiet of the lobby, so I do. I go out to a wooden patio with several metal table-and-chair sets on it. There are people sitting at the tables and studying, though, so I press the Mute button on my laptop. I ask one of the girls on the patio if the chairs at her table are taken. She offers me a seat, and I take it. Another girl sees my laptop screen, and we have the following conversation:

      Girl: Is yours a dragon?
Me: (after figuring out that she's talking about my pet on the site I'm logging on to) Yes, it's a silver dragon.
      Girl: They know about it.
      Me: Who?
      Girl: Your 'rents.

I haven't told my parents about this site. They know about my Neopets account, but not my account on this site. I wonder about the girl, Are you my dream guide? but don't ask her.
[Yes, I managed to think that without realizing that I was dreaming. I don't even know.]

Me: We don't get along very well right now. This is part of the reason.

I log in to my account anyway. The screen shows animation of the digital creatures on the site fighting each other by shooting beams of various things out of their mouths, like some Pokémon and Digimon do.

    7. Finally! An oasis in the desert that is my dry spell.

      by , 12-29-2010 at 06:18 PM
      This is sad.

This is the first entry I have ever had for this new blog system, and the first post in a DJ for months.

BUT, I have an LD after... *counts* 6 freaking months. It's not a long one, but I finally have something to work off of.

Type: WBTB, DILD. Length: too short. Quality: excellent.

I started off in my room, in broad daylight. Nothing out of the ordinary considering winter break. I 'woke' to find everything basically where it is IRL. At the corner of my bed was my little sister, wandering in. In reality, she is 13. I was seeing a 3 year old. I tried the 'plug your nose' RC to find this as a dream. I tried it again after standing up to make sure, with the same result. I glanced at a digital clock to find the numbers all wrong and distorted. Already, (unfortunately) the dream was breaking down. Everything started to darken and get a black static effect. I tried to stabilize the dream, but to little success. I cleared the static, but only for a moment. Then, it took over my field of vision and I woke up. Stupidly, I recorded the event in a notebook, and because of it, failed a DEILD.

But at least this is something to work off of later. I haven't had such a chance in a long time. And with the record standing at 5 LDs in more than a year, I kinda suck at this.

      Only time will tell.
    8. Twenty Five

      by , 12-29-2010 at 03:24 PM
First off, I'm really sorry that this is SO long. It took me half an hour just to type it all up- and I type fast! But it was really one of the strangest dream experiences that I've had. This is the first time I've ever played around with any of the dream techniques that I've read on this site, so I'm excited about it. The first part of the dream, I was non-lucid and it's really long. Then I became lucid for a while. Then I woke up briefly and attempted a WILD.

In which a chance encounter with Julian Assange causes me to get mixed up in his trial…

I’m riding in the back of a chauffeured car with my husband. We see Julian Assange hitchhiking on the side of the road. He is wearing a black suit with black shades and he has a Blue Tooth in his ear. He looks like a Secret Serviceman.

We pull over and offer him a ride. He climbs in the front of the car and asks us to take him to the Austin capitol. He says that he expects there to be a huge crowd of curious people lined up along the way to see him, and that we will probably have to fight our way past people at the capitol too. Then he spends the remainder of the ride alternately texting on his Blackberry and talking on his Blue Tooth. Meanwhile, my husband and I roll up the divider between the front and back seats and we have sex.

We arrive at the capitol. There are no members of the general public waiting at all, but the place is swarming with media. The capitol building is also a courthouse, and Julian Assange presents himself to the judge. My husband also drops me off at the capitol as my workplace and my school are just a few blocks away, and he takes the car and continues on to his own job. I’m walking with my backpack when a crowd of reporters surround me and usher me into the rotunda. They are all asking me questions about having sex with Julian Assange. Apparently someone snapped a blurry picture of me having sex with my husband in the car, then they saw Julian Assange and me get out and assumed I’d been with him. I try to clear up the confusion, but everyone is shouting at once and I can’t get a word in.

One of the reporters puts a television camera in my face and a microphone. Everyone else goes silent because this guy is with the BBC. He asks me very loudly, “Did you have consensual sex with Julian Assange?” I know this is live television and I’m flustered and embarrassed. I look into the camera and say, “No.” The crowd of reporters erupt into gasps and howls. I’d meant “no- I didn’t have sex with him” but they interpreted it to mean “no- it wasn’t consensual”. I heard them screaming accusations at Julian Assange and they were asking me if I planned to press rape charges. I tried to leave the crowd, but they blocked my way.

Finally I become disgusted with the whole thing, and I want to put an end to it as quickly and easily as possible. I announce in a loud, clear voice that we had consensual sex, that he did not rape me and that there was no story to be had here. Just two adults having consensual sex! I ask them to leave me alone. They lose interest and allow me to leave.

Off in one of the side wings of the rotunda is a short, plump friendly looking lady dressed in gypsy clothes. She is leading a mule by its reins. A young gypsy girl stands next to her, dressed in a colorful shirt and a black lace shawl. The woman calls me over to her. She explains that Julian Assange is the father of the young girl but that he refuses to pay child support and she asks me for help. I tell her that I hope things work out for her but that I have no connection to either Wikileaks or Assange’s sexual assault case. We shake hands and I turn around to leave.

I exit the rotunda and the grounds outside are covered in sand. The area is completely empty, but as I start to walk to the street, I see my brother sit down in the sand with a plastic shovel and some pails.

“Are you really going to build sand castles?” I ask him in disbelief. My brother is in his 30s so this seemed very strange to me. He looks embarrassed at first, then adamantly maintains that there is nothing wrong with an adult building sand castles. We laugh about it. I ask him why he is here.

“I heard that Julian Assange was going to appear in court today and I figured there’d be a big crowd here to see him so I came to witness the public circus. But when I got here, there was no one here but reporters,” he explains.

“Yeah, I was surprised too. Last year, when the pope came to visit, there was a huge crowd,” I answer.

“Well that makes sense,” my brother says, “since the pope is really famous. But I saw an even bigger crowd here a few years back when ABBA came.”

Then for a little while we discuss ABBA and how they have some really great songs despite their reputation of being a cheesy disco group. Then I tell my brother that I have to rush home to call my mother-in-law as she was sure to watch BBC and get upset when she hears me saying that I had consensual sex with Julian Assange. I need to go home and call her to explain. We say goodbye and I walk home.

In which I fly around the mountains and become lucid…

This is a continuation of the long dream above.

My house is a one-room cabin with large windows. I look out the windows and see beautiful and imposing mountains lining the landscape. I think for a second that it is odd to see such majestic mountains in Austin and I wonder if I’m back in the Himalayas. I stare at the mountains carefully though and realize that the peaks are too low and smooth to be Himalayan peaks. They appear to be snow-capped, but when I look more closely I realize that the snow is actually the color of caramel and it is spread along each softly rounded peak like icing on a cinnamon bun. This is such a beautiful sight that I lean far out the window so that I can look up and see the top of the mountains.

From this vantage point, I’m able to see that actually there are three ranges of mountains with valleys between them. The second is taller than the first and the third’s jagged and steep peaks reach high up into the clouds. Mountains this tall don’t exist outside the Himalayas, I think to myself.

For a moment, I consider how I went so quickly from Austin to Nepal, but then I’m too rapt with the sight to wonder about this. I step out the window and start to fly to the mountains. I am daunted by the steep face of the third range. I realize I don’t have the skills to climb it and that if I tried, I’d fail embarrassingly, but I’m pretty sure I could conquer the second. Looking for a good path, I fly along the ridge that connects the first low range to the second. It seems like an easy hike up the first and then it is just a matter of walking along the ridge until I get to the final climb up the peak of the second. I fly around this peak looking for the best climbing path. I decide that it might be easier to see it all if I go up higher than the third peak, and I soar up above the clouds and look down. Suddenly I see an amazing sight.

There is a ridge connecting the tallest of the first, second and third ranges, and on each peak is a hexagonal landing pad of some sort. They look like helicopter landing pads only they are much larger. Each pad is connected with a runway. This is impossible to see from the ground. You must be up in the sky above the mountains to see it. I marvel at this for a little while and keep flying higher and higher.

Then from behind the third range, I see a gigantic house towering over all the tallest peak. At first, the house is beautiful. It is made of brightly colored panes of glass. But when I glance away from it for a second, it changes. Now it is made of pieces of scrap metal, old tin roofs and garbage. It looks like millions of shanties from the Dharvi slum stacked on top of each other up into the clouds.

I stare at it for a while and ponder all of it. It is absolutely impossible, I realize, for any of this to be happening. At that moment, I become lucid.

I fly down into the valley in front of the tower and see all sorts of huge mobile statues made of scrap metal. Most of them are beautiful, and they all move in the wind. Most of them contain spinning flowers and pinwheels. They are fun, colorful and creative. I’m absolutely delighted to be dreaming these things. I fly back over the lowest mountain range, the one with the soft, rounded peaks covered in icing. They are gorgeous. Even though I know I’m dreaming, I really feel how beautiful nature is and I’m very happy.

Then I see another mobile statue. This one is metal pole on which many shelves have been welded. The shelves are connected to the pole with gears that look like clockworks and they all spin around. At the end of the shelves are giant but dainty multi-colored tea cups. I fly up and down this mobile statue and realize that I’ve dreamt about this before. I try really hard to remember when I’ve seen it before, but thinking about this causes the dream to disintegrate and I wake up in my bed.

In which I attempt to WILD and possibly succeed…

I have just woken up from the dream above. I have an atomic clock in my bedroom that projects the time on my ceiling. It is almost 5AM. I’m laying on my back, and I can see the window by my bed and feel my husband’s body next to me. I think about what a cool dream that was and also how my body still feels heavy with sleep. I have not moved at all. I know the alarm clock will go off in a few minutes since we have it set for 5. I close my eyes again and think about what I read on this website about WILD. I’ve never tried WILD before, but since I’m so relaxed and heavy with sleep, I figure this would be a good time to try.

I let my body relax some more but I keep thinking to myself “I’m dreaming, I’m dreaming, I’m dreaming”. This goes on for a little while and then my body feels like it is jerking awake- the way you feel when you fall in a dream and it jerks you awake. Then for a little while the room feels like it’s quaking and I hear a really loud sound. It is similar to what is sounds like when as a child I used to stand underneath the trestles and watching a train pass by above me. This went on for a very short period of time and then it stopped. I could feel myself still in my bed with my eyes closed. I wasn’t sure if I was asleep or not.

I opened my eyes and I was still in my bed beside my window, but I was in a different room. Strangely enough, I was very calm at first. I just lay there and looked around. Then I got up. From then on, I had this strange compulsion in my body- I could not slow down or be still. I felt like my body was in a constant state of movement and all I could do was steer its direction. It was like I was hovering above the ground.

I went over to the door and decided to see if I could pass through it without opening it. I did, and it was easy. Then I was standing on a banister of a spiraling staircase in a three story house. I went down the first flight of stairs and heard someone moving around below. I shouted “hello” to whoever it was, but no one answered. My voice sounded really loud and it echoed. I could feel my vocal chords vibrating in my throat, and I wondered if I really said hello in my real body laying in bed. It took a lot of energy to shout and I was afraid that I’d wake myself up if I did it again so I decided not to talk anymore.

I was still standing on the second floor and I looked out the window. I decided to try to fly, and I leapt from the banister out the window and flew out of the house. Then I was standing in the yard. It was dark, the stars were bright and there was a pine tree beside me. I looked up at the sky and decided to fly towards the stars. They were big and beautiful and shining. I flew and flew as high as I could, but after a while I got tired. They were just too far away so I started to sink back down.

It was lovely falling slowly through the sky back towards the earth. I passed a satellite along the way and it had a microphone on it. I leaned over and shouted “hello!” again. It sounded strange again and it took a lot of energy.

At this point, I became a little giddy and silly. I don’t know what happened, but I started to feel like I was losing control. Part of the problem was this constant state of compulsion that my body felt. I had to keep moving and I didn’t know how to slow it down so that I could think. My mind started racing and I got really crazy. I started doing loops in the air and just laughing hysterically.

I was falling in standing position with my feet towards the ground. When I was eye level with the roof of the house where I started, I saw a giant purple and pink plush rabbit sitting on the roof. It had to be 15 feet tall. It was an Easter Bunny stuffed animal but it had a menacing face. It was wearing a top hat. I hovered in the air around it for a while and wondered where it came from. I was pretty sure I did not dream up this rabbit- but here it was, as real and detailed as can be. I was also surprised that it did not scare me. I knew I was dreaming so I wasn’t afraid of it despite its menacing face.

I flew back down to the ground and entered the house through the backdoor on the first floor. There was someone in the shower and I decided to go see who it was. I ran in a crazy way towards the shower, pulled the curtains back and shouted “Boo!” but before I could see who it was, the alarm clock went off and I woke up.

This whole dream took just a few minutes though it felt like an hour. After I woke up, I started to question the whole thing. To be honest, I don’t know if I really had a WILD experience or if I just dreamed that I did.

So, had a weird lucid last night. Well, I had a regular lucid, but the false awakening after that was crazy.
When I false awakened I was in a bed. I thought it was mine (I wasn't lucid at the moment) I sat up and thought about the lucid I just had, and how I didn't have one in a while so this was pretty cool. Then, I heard an old ladies voice. I don't remember what she said but she said one sentence. Then suddenly I got pinned against the bed, which was a huge surprise, never thought that that would happen. I looked around but didn't see anyone. I couldn't move. I then heard the loudest thing Ive ever heard in my whole life. "YOU KNEW YOU'D BE PISSED OFF WHEN YOU DIDN'T EVEN LET ANYONE EVEN TAKE A GLANCE AT YOU" a woman said in my left ear. (sounded like she was 30 or somthing). She sounded like she was talking in an angry tone of voice, but she was not yelling, although her voiced boomed in my head. Right after she said that I woke up; ears buzzing. I wonder if it means something. Nothing in real life is that loud. I think it means I knew I'd be in a worse mood when I didn't have any lucid dreams. (dream entities seeing me) And that particular entity wanted me there. She did that as if she really really wanted me to pay attention to those words.

      29th DEC 2010:

I was in some giant house or mansion by myself and everything was dark and I felt extremely lonely, so I brought down a chair and slept at the entrance of my mansion for what seemed like hours.........!, just dosing in my chair, then my dad came over and asked why I was sleeping in the entrance. I replied that "I dont know" so he told me to go to bed, I got upstairs and I was in my waking life room and knew I was dreaming

but the quality was extremely bad, it was like I was drunk (even though I dont drink) so I rubbed my hands and tried to stabilise but I woke up into a false awakening which seemed so real!, in fact the only reason I nose pinched was for the sake of it( what no way, this cant be a dream!) so I jumped out of bed and my room was now on-top of some giant sky scrapper, I could hear my dad coming up the stairs to check up on me, I thought it would be rude if he came to my mansion to keep me company and then I left, but my attention was drawn to this huge window that had a wire fencing on the outside, instantly the weather turned snowy, I looked down and saw two horses below galloping super fast around the estate, before I went off to explore I wanted to try out some things, but my mind went blank I was like..... telekinesis...uh pyro-kinesis...what else?, then I noticed a giant fanta bottle so I started moving it with my mind, I imagined that my arm was magnetic and drew the bottle towards me, then I flicked my wrist and a man sized hole cut itself in the window, and the fence, I dived through and flew around for a bit but after a while I remembered my goals, (shit,... summon something!) but as I landed there was galloping behind me...I lost lucidity and started running because I thought the horses were evil...but regained awareness( wait im lucid..I can fly) so I got out of their way and hovered above the ground and looked behind me....."wtf", are.....they?......are....they flying?"(there goes my awareness again!).

so I flew super-fast but they kept up with me, I dodged and weaved but those damn horses they uh...flew like the wind, then I regained full lucidity and started remembering my goals but it was too late and I woke up.

      ★★★☆☆

      10/28/10

Scrambling up wet black rocks, spray from the waterfall soaking me to the bone. Straight up to the top of the vertical cliff face. Looking out over the dark river snaking through the vast canyon, all sound drowned out by the constant roaring of the falls. Green, black, silver, and blue... It's a clear, crisp day, and I let the joy of the moment wash over me.

The water is too shallow for me to jump safely... but this is a dream. I'm already half awake as I jump, as I plummet. Icy tendrils cut through me as I hit the ice-green water with a splash.

I crawl through the interior of a small school bus surrounded by schools of fish. The sunlight from above barely reaches us, filtered through the water to be a dark yellow-green. I push through the wall of the bus, and it gives way like plastic wrap.

I breathe. Around me, in every direction, are silver fish of every possible size and description. A face appears through the murk. A mermaid, her tail flicking around my leg and then she's in front of me. We're reaching for each other and we're kissing and the scene fades...

And I'm sitting next to him, our knees touching as we laugh about some random happenstance.

    12. Gender Switching and The Between-Worlds Family

      by , 12-29-2010 at 05:01 AM
      a
In order to encourage better dream events I have only been journalizing memorable dreams and these two sure count. Only a few times (6 or less) have I been someone else, may be 3 where I have been the other gender (female) but this is the first time I have switched gender in the dream and realized it while it was happening.

      December 28 Morning.
      Dream 1: Poison
I am in some sort of a science laboratory working with other people. We are talking about unimportant stuff when a guy walks in and I take him for being mean since he is looking hard and mean at our group. He just glares and then walks out. I abruptly leave the conversation and follow the guy down the elevated walkway in a cool looking scientific type building. He walks into an office and I wait and then walk in after him but the secretary stops me. I tell her I have to see him but she says I need an appointment, while not even looking at me. I bend down and swing her chair so my face is over her shoulder where we are both looking away. I say sternly "look, unless you want what he has been using, I suggest you do as I say..." and I trail my fingers seductively over her face "I know you want to help me" and I brush her hair from her forehead and kiss her there. I thought about sex but this was no time for that, I was on a mission here. Then I stormed out of the office. I went to a indoor basketball court where there were a dozen little glass tubes with red or blue poison in them laying on the hardwood floor. The bad guy walked in after me and looked a bit angry and surprised. At this point I felt as though I was playing the part of a woman. I picked up one if the tiny glass tubes and threatened to break them all depriving him of his powerful poison unless he promises to stop using this poison. He looks calm and says "no" as if to say "go ahead break them all see if I care." So I start breaking them by smashing them on the floor. When I pick up the last one I say "this is it!" and I go to break it and he shouts "stop! ...ok."
We know what has to be done and I have to walk him to his firing and other stuff up stairs. Still playing the woman we are supposed to be a couple or so he wants to be and this is a great cover so that no one suspects anything and tries to free him from his fate. I roughly grab his hand and try to position it like a couple would have it. I know I am a guy but am playing this woman too, I feel I can do both and that this won't affect my male identity in the least, still it feels strange. He looks scared and is doomed, there's no way out for him now.
I wake not knowing what he had coming that was so bad. I committed it to memory.

Dream 2: The Between Worlds Family.

I drove up to a diner/small restaurant place with only 3 cars in the lot, "I wonder if it's open." It's cold outside and I marvel at how real this feels and how vivid the colors are. Inside there is a smell of cooking and food and the air is nice and warm. It is open and there are a few customers. Though I was not totally lucid I knew this was a dream place and there was little use of getting any food so I looked around for what to explore. A door in the ceiling seemed to beg me to explore it. Looking up at it I saw a staircase looking like it was partially matter, blinking on and off in a misty hazy form. Naturally I walked up it into an attic. It was dark and its floor had no flooring just insulation between the boards but then I saw some flash of something. I looked harder and saw a flash of a floor, of a room. I walked up into the dark attic fully to investigate this. Walls started to flash into reality then I concentrated and focused on these things flashing into existence. The place started to take shape, whole rooms showed up, well lit with furniture, hardwood floors with rugs and carpeting. Then a humanoid shape started to flash in front of me. It was a little scary for a second. I focused on it but it had walked off. I went in the empty attic to where it was going and tried to focus and then a room appeared in ghostly flashes and in it a father, the mom, and a young boy. They knew I was there and wanted something from me. "What could they want from me, how can they even see me?" The man approached in his ghostly form "We want you to know we exist." I felt sorry for them, unseen and a little fearful. I thought about why they were up here and I heard "Because they are down there," being that there was too much going on down stairs that they didn't want to live with. They had a little home up here above the diner but it was unseeable to the people down there and the family seemed afraid the diner would come up into their living space and thus push them out. I felt sorry for the family and floated down through the ghostly floor and the diners ceiling into the dinner and out the front door.
It felt goo to be away from that partially real/unreal/between worlds home/attic, though as I stood in the parking lot I remembered being here before but it went a little differently. The first time I had seen some shapes and a ghostly form and got spooked and left.
I forgot to to commit this to memory and recalled this during the first posting above. I was just too sleepy to record this dream in any way at the time.

My dream started with me in a 2d game called tibia. I was killing some ghouls, zombies, and stuff and got attacked by a swarm of hydra. In tibia it takes forever to level and the death penalty is crazy harshe and my character can't even take on a single hydra yet so a swarm like that would mean certain death if i didn't escape. But I don't hunt near any hydra yet so I observed my environment and there wasn't much to it (the only thing in existence was the 2d screen with my character and the monsters on it) so I realized that it was just a dream.

Since it was a dream I just sat back and watched the hydra pack kill my character knowing I would't take any losses. I didn't feel like wasting my dreaming time playing tibia so I better stabalized the dream and teleported to one of my own planets and flew around building giant castles out of rocks and tweaking the landscape here and there. I played around with dna for some of my creatures on the planet and made some new critters just for fun. After a while I spread my awareness over the entire planet and just spent some time watching my creations.

I teleported to earth and spread out my awareness to notice that there was an insanely large tree growing out into space. I looked at the moon and turned into a giant oozaru. I asked out loud, "Who put this thing here?" and for some reason Goku appeared and said he did it. He dashed behind me and was about to strike at my head when without turning around I grew a big furry fist followed by a furry arm out of the back of my head and punched him in the face. I grew some extra eyes in the palm of this new hand and watched him through them. He dashed around again but this time I dashed at the same time and caught him with a kick that broke him in half at his belly then blasted him away with an oozaru mouth cannon. I turned and blasted away the tree too then changed back into a human.

I summoned Sonic and asked him if he wanted to race. He started to blink and things slowed way down. Before he could open his eyes I had already dashed around the planet without him noticing. Then I said, "Nevermind you are way to slow" so he got angry and said, "Race ya to the great pyramid" and started running off. I followed him running circles around him for a while then got bored of playing with him so I dashed to the finish line and waited on him to get there. After a few minutes of waiting I thought he might have gotten lost so I teleported him to the pyramid and asked him what was taking so long.

He gave me a strange look and wouldn't talk to me so I kicked him into space like a big blue football then dashed around him and kicked him again but this time I kicked him towards the sun. I made a blunt appear in my hand and lit it with my finger then enjoyed smoking while I watched Sonic float helplessly towards the sun.

After getting stoned and watching sonic melt to nothingness I reached out and grabbed the sun and smashed it into the earth then woke myself up to record everything.

    14. Candy Tree

      by , 12-29-2010 at 03:50 AM

I had some lucids last night but I didn't get them into my long term memory. I only remember this little fragment where there was a beautiful snowscape, everything was crystal white and covered in snow. And I was flying past when I came upon this amazing tree. It had dark brown bark and huge pink flowers or fruits the size of regular balloons, and they even looked a little like balloons. I saw that some of them had fallen from the tree and were laying on the snow, deflated. The pink looked so pretty against the bluish white backdrop of the snow. I'm a little disappointed that I can't recall more. I know there was large open water involved, and I was swimming through cold water with other people. I remember things swimming past my legs and I was worried about creatures with teeth being in the water.

    15. Interesting OBE

      by , 12-29-2010 at 03:48 AM
I spent awhile lucid/OBE so parts of it are sort of a blur. I remember slowly slipping off my bed, as if my ankles were slightly hanging off the bed, and it was angled downward. It was as if I were laying on silk sheets...I slowly slid down off the front of my bed. As I slid, my feet and lower legs actually went under the bed. So when my chest and head were sliding off the bed, the bend in my back caused me to be sort of propelled forward. I put my hands out in front of me because I thought my head would hit the floor, but it happened so incredibly gently and slowly.

When I finally was face down on the floor, most of my body was under the bed, and the ground beneath me began to turn transparent. It was so dark though, not much different from being in the void. I couldn't will a dream scape to form around me, so I just watched and was patient and waited to see what would happen. The floor beneath me turned from carpet to wood...then suddenly it was an old wooden cabinet.

I opened one of the drawers and it was full of cards, but they were all used and had writing on them. I searched through until I found a blank one. I found a pen in the drawer and on the card I wrote in large letters "Sido" (arabic for grandpa) ...and then..."we miss you and love you very much". I don't know why, but I thought that somehow, somewhere, maybe he would get the message. Suddenly the dream transformed around me and I was outside my house floating in the darkness. I decided to write Sido's real name on the card, then I tore it into pieces and let it fly off into the wind, along with my deepest love and good energy.

I then decided to visit my mom and attempt to maybe enter her dream or something, I'm not really sure why the thought struck me. For some reason I was having real trouble traveling...it was as though I was just a spirit, without a body, so I was weightless and could move through anything. This made flying very difficult. I was hanging onto a tree outside my house (which was decorated in beautiful white christmas lights, so it was really a gorgeous scene out there in the snow and darkness) and I moved into a crouching position and pushed off of the tree and tried to propel myself into the part of my house where my mother would be sleeping. It worked.

I found myself floating through the bed. I was surprised to find Alma, my aunt's gorgeous siberian husky-wolf-dog, asleep next to my mom. Alma saw me right away of course and gave me a warm welcome. I gave her pets and hugs and kisses and then I heard a growl to my right, in the direction where my mom was asleep on the bed. I wondered, there can't be two Alma's here, can there? I looked over but nothing was there. Then I heard the noise again and realized that it was my cell phone ringing on vibrate. At first I was frustrated, because I was worried it would wake me from my lucid/OBE...but then I started wondering why someone was calling me in the middle of the night.

I could tell by how dark everything was that it was still very late at night. So I decided to wake up and see who was calling. It took a few minutes for me to sort of "return" to myself and get my bearings. After a minute I looked at my phone, but I had no missed call. I was very confused. As certain as I was that I was just in a dream, I was that certain that the vibrating cell phone was not in the dream but very real. I wasn't sure what to make of the situation. Then I realized that it was 4am and my mom had to be at work at 5am which meant she was probably already awake, as she likes to get to work a half hour early most of the time.

I walked downstairs to get a glass of ice water, and I noticed that my mom was still asleep. Odd...I thought to myself. By then it was 4:15. I went into her room and whispered her name. She woke up. I asked her if she had to be at work at 5 and she said yes and asked what time it is. I told her and she checked her alarm clock and apparently she had turned it off in her sleep. The funny thing is that had I not gone down to check and see if she was awake, wondering what the alarm/phone ringing meant in my dream, I wouldn't have woken her up and she would have been late for work. I don't know if it means much, but it's interesting nonetheless. I should also mention that this was the first and only time I'd ever done this, so it's not as if it's a regular occurrence...making it even more of an interesting synchronicity. Definitely the first time I've had an OBE where I "slipped" off and under my bed. That was a strange experience!
