    1. First DILD!

by , 07-03-2017 at 01:38 AM (An Insomniac's Dream Journal)
I was in the dream and I realized something was off. I immediately do the finger through the palm RC and find out that my finger goes DIRECTLY THROUGH IT (It had a little friction going in however), I also do another reality check, and plug my nose. I felt a gust of wind go inside my nose and I now know I'm dreaming.

Feeling ecstatic, I quickly realize that if I get too excited I'll wake up, and internalize those feelings. Shortly thereafter, I wake up.

I quickly forgot that dream however when I woke up. I still remember the feeling of excitement and elation when I successfully preformed those RCs and now I think I'm getting closer to intentional LDs in the future.

    3. Late entry

      by , 07-02-2017 at 11:21 PM
Had a lucid dream this morning. It was me standing in my room for two minutes because I am trying to get stabilization down before I start my adventure. Testing out a new technique introduced by this dude . Essentially while falling asleep you send awareness to the triangular space made the two eyes and the point slightly above and between the eyebrows - referred to as the "third eye" by our more superstitious members. Calm down, I'm only joking. I love all of y'all.

Anyway, combining technique outlined in video with my WILD mindset of, "Clear, Quiet, present to the moment."

    4. Very Vivid lucid

      by , 07-01-2017 at 07:20 PM (Nef's dream journal)
A week ago I had this lucid dream, it was really vivid and clear , took about 10 minutes, and it was just simply amazing.

I became lucid upon realizing that my home is on a hill , somewhere in a big city, in the distance I saw a tower.
Then I started to analyse the situation , I talked to someone but then the dream started to fall apart.
I sat down and started to concentrate on 'my sixth sense' ,and then I started to manifest a room , a room that was in an apartment , first I saw the bed and the window, that was on the left side of the room, then as I looked around the room ,the other parts of the room manifested , on the right side was a big shelf ,with a television on the middle, on the shelves was posters and stuff , with writings on it, I could read them all, it was so vivid, like if I was actually in another reality.
There was other things in the room but cant remember now.

The posters was about a guitarist called "Marcus Paul" and he seemingly died , or so that was in the TV in the background i heard flamenco music.

Then I stood up and went to the door that was in the back of the room , I opened the door, and found myslef before another door, things seemed to get really scary and dark so I was getting ready to be scared and wake up , but that did not happen. I opened that other door and I found myself in a hall, on the end of hte hall to the left was a glass door , the exit , and in front of me was an open door , from the other room came out a little girl in some old balerine like clothes.

Upon seeing this I proceeded to freak the fuck out, and thought that this girl will morf into a demon any second, but it just started to walk towards me ,she seemed to be cheered , then suddenly a girl and a guy came , they seemed to be brothers.
The guy has reddish eyes, brown hair , he didnt look unusual . The girl had an almost anime like face, with the same red eyes, medium\short orange hair, and had some earphone thing on her head.
Then we talked some(they apparently only spoke english ), they seemed to know me , the guy checked how high is my fear level, he suddenly pointed at me ,and his eyes pupils , took a pink\veiny texture, but onyl the half his pupils took this colour, that supposed to tell me that my fear levels are around 50-60 percent. He said that its something , but its not that bad. Then the guy told me that "you will fuck up" then the girl said taht I should probably get the bus that takes me home, and with this I ran out of the building , and jumped up on the bus ...

-The dream was unusually vivid, I was able to even read
-The room I manifested seemed to bear a meaning, so I thought to myself that room may be important to me in the future , or in life?
-Even if I expected to meet demons in the dream at a point, that didn't happen, even if my fear was high. This time my expections didnt screw up my dream , which is weird...

Got Lucid via WILD, but since my dream stabilization is dogshit I decided to just stand in my room(the place where I always start) and touch things to stabilize. The good news is that the dream lasted for about 3 minutes. But I could barely see out of my eyes. It was like only one was halfway open.

    6. Off With His Head!

by , 06-30-2017 at 05:01 AM (New Dream Adventures of Raven Knight)
      2017, 06-29

      Off With His Head!

I am in what looks like a medieval city of some kind. The buildings lining the narrow streets are made of stone and wood and they look like something out of a fantasy RPG game. I walk along the street and I notice that everyone seems to be heading in the same direction. I figure that is probably the direction I should also take, so I follow the crowds. We move through the city streets and approach the largest building I can see from where I am. It looks like it might be some kind of church or temple. The crowd is tightly packed here, and it is hard to move forward to see what is going on. Finally I get closer and I see everyone watching has their attention fixed on what is happening on the stairs leading into the temple. There are numerous guards in mail and plate armor at the foot of the stairs to keep anyone from advancing farther, and more people up above. Whatever is about to happen begins.

There is a young boy wearing a crown who somehow seems to be in charge of things there. He stands and begins to speak loudly and with authority. "My mother wishes me to let Lord Eddard join the Knight's Watch... stripped of all titles and powers, he would serve the realm in permanent exile. And my Lady Sansa has begged mercy for her father.” He pauses here and looks over at a girl who is standing off to the side with a woman in a crown and some other guards. He smiles at the girl and she seems visibly relieved. After pausing, the boy continues. “But they have the soft hearts of women... so long as I'm your king, treason shall never go unpunished! Sir Ilyn, bring me his head!"

As one of the guards advances on the prisoner the girl off to the side is in hysterics, screaming unintelligibly, trying to pull away from the guards who are now holding her back. Another guard forces the prisoner to his knees as the guard approaching produces a large sword. I don’t know where the feeling comes from, but I am at once filled with the determination that this should not happen, that man should not die here. But I have to act fast. I get up to where the guards are barring approach to the temple, so I go off to the right and climb the side of a building with more agility than I knew I had. Some people are calling after me to ask what I’m doing, but I ignore them. I feel like I’m playing Assassin’s Creed. I’m almost out of time! I run along the roof and jump down on the other side, surprised I didn’t hurt myself at least a little… I’m not going to make it, so I focus on a force field around the prisoner so when the executioner brings the big sword down he hits an invisible barrier. He is stunned by the force of his own blow and stumbles back.

The boy gets mad when he sees the sword bounce back, saying he wants the man’s head and he wants it now. He’s a little boy having a tantrum. I come forward, and the guards immediately threaten me with their swords, surrounding the boy protectively. I tell them not to worry, I’m not here to harm the boy who wants to pretend he’s a king. That makes the kid even angrier and he starts yelling that he IS the king and now he wants my head on a pike next to the traitor’s. The woman in the crown is glaring at me. She says she knows who I am, I’m that magi that stole her wolf pelt from her before! She asks why I have to keep interfering with her. I tell her I’ll stop interfering when she stops trying to put the innocent to death. The prisoner is looking around, apparently confused as to what is happening. The girl that had been screaming runs over to the man. The guards are distracted by me so they let her get away. My force field lets her through to the man and she hugs him, crying on his shoulder. The boy is calling for all three of our heads now, though no one is paying him any heed. I am wondering what to do with Eddard and Sansa but I don’t get time to think. Everything fades to black and I wake up.

(Q says they are in my inner world, Eddard was in bad shape and is healing now.)

INT. CHILDHOOD LIVING ROOM - DAY

Another storm. I see downtown Dallas, Texas out the window. It is closer than in reality, perhaps by half the distance. All at once, the lights in every building blink on. Some of the lights resemble the mercury vapour lamps in the unfinished towers of the World Trade Center in Manhattan. Also, one or two of the buildings are being hoisted up and down, pivoted on their corners, by giant cranes. These strange sights downtown alert me to my conscious state: Dream!

As usual when lucid, I can think very fast and efficiently. I instantly remember the course of action I had planned when awake for my next dream. First, I rub my hands together and demand, "Clarity now! Stability now!" For the first time in a dream I can actually see my hands because I'm concentrating on them. I also attempt to spin around, which is supposed to aid in stabilizing a lucid dream and prevent waking up. But my dream body is unresponsive and does not rotate. Then I remember that my main goal was to try to persuade a dream character that she or he is dreaming too.

I turn to my mother, sitting next to me on the couch. "Look, Mom! We're dreaming! We're in a lucid dream! Did you know you're dreaming?" She gazes at me with a quizzical expression.

Unfortunately the demand for clarity does not seem to have changed anything, nor the wish for stability: I'm waking up. "Mom," I say to her with a hurried hug, "I'll love you and Dad forever." Then I find myself slowly emerging into the reality of my bedroom, four thousand kilometres away.

    9. Lucid Tower Meditation

      by , 06-28-2017 at 06:12 AM
I'm outdoors on a lush, green landscape. It's like a park that is being gradually infiltrated by warehouses, factories, barns, and public buildings.

Everything is very vivid. The light has a strange, beautiful quality, as if the light itself is full of possibility.

      I know that I'm dreaming.

In the middle of the landscape is what might be a children's playground or what's left of an industrial plant. It's hard to tell, but I swing on a horizontal bar like an athlete, having fun.

I drop down to the ground, thinking that I was supposed to do something the next time I was lucid, but I can't remember what it was. I don't want to waste the entire dream trying to remember, so I decide to fly. Predictible, yes, but a great feeling and not only is it less effort than ever with more control, but I also feel no anxiety as I rush up into the air.

Ahead, there is a green hill with a tunnel going into it. Now there is some anxiety, as I wonder it was going to come out of the entrance.

A large bus/short train comes speeding out and I jump high into the air to avoid it. It is yellow and reminiscent of a child's drawing of a bus/train. It has passengers.

Then I recall that I was thinking about meditating in a lucid dream, which I've done once before and had a great experience.

I close my eyes and I feel that I'm inside a tower. Opening my eyes intermittently, I see the translucent skeleton of the building's internal framework.

Eyes closed, I rise up through the tower, hovering up what feels like about 40 floors. Hovering in the middle of this semi-visible building, I enter a deep meditation.

I feel myself in bed, lying beneath the covers.

I feel myself standing in the dream.

I feel myself hovering in the middle of the building.

I am the building too. I'm the structure, the beams and frames, stretching up and surrounding myself.

When I hear footsteps, I open my eyes and my friend is quietly entering a kitchen in a fluffy white dressing gown.

"I'm just making myself a drink," she says. "I can't sleep. You want one?"

"No," I say and close my eyes.

I stay in the dream, lucid, deeply meditating and just experiencing the various states at once for what feels like a few minutes, until my 'in bed' state feels very uncomfortable - I feel like all my weight is on one arm - and I wake myself up enough to turn over.
    10. Realistic, doubting, sex, lucid dream. LD

by , 06-28-2017 at 02:21 AM (Come on, let's go for great nightlife adventures)
I’m on the sofa with my brother and some friends. I lay down on the sofa and after I stand up and naturally realize it’s a dream. I get out the house and go in the garden it is night, I watch my house and it looks so realistic that I have some doubt if this is real life or dream. I start shouting and the light in the kitchen turn off and I heard some noise in there. I say to myself I must find somebody, so I decide to go to the neighbor’s house. I jump the wall and go in their house, I see a woman. I start shouting at the woman and I start having doubt again but I see the decor help me realize that it’s still a dream. So I take the woman and put her down and start having sex and I’m starting to lose the dream and wake up.

    11. Summary of last week | Two bonus ToTM attemps

      by , 06-27-2017 at 08:30 PM
      Here's the summary:

      Total:
      Dream: 985
      LD: 93
      SP: 30

      This (last) week:
      Dream: 17
      LD: 0
      SP: 1

(That sleep paralysis wasn't scary or anything, I just couldn't move and that was it)

I finally got lucid dream again, and not just one but two and for the same night, too. I tried to do the bonus ToTM (flipping the world upside down) twice, but I didn't succeed. I'm dumb because I was supposed to do the others first, as they're easier and actually possible for me, but okay then... It was fun tho. Here are the dreams:

#1The dream begann non-lucid. I was in some underground cave. It was full of water but I could see and breathe just well. It looked like Minecraft... I was swimming (diving?) around and tried to find exit at some point. I started controlling my actions more and more until I just thought that yeah, this is a lucid dream now. I tried to do the world flipping thing but I got something horribly wrong because I flipped MYSELF, not the world. But the world seems to be upside down on my perspective, so it counts, right? No (or does it??). Okay, I guess it could have worked in some way actually, but it didn't. I tried to keep that pose for a while. It was interesting. Then I woke up.

#2 I got another dream right away (DEILD? Was it?). I was in the same world (I just knew) but not in the water this time. I tried to do it on ground. I didn't have that much control that time, but it was still a LD.

    12. Short lucid again

by , 06-27-2017 at 07:00 PM (MoSh's DJ: The Best Dream Journal in The Universe.)
      Storm

Started I was waiting at a bus stop with my dog. It was super windy out almost knocking me over. It was night time almost pitch black. I looked across the street to where the mcdonald's is supposed to be. I notice 3 big and black tornadoes in the sky coming towards me. I turn and run with my dog. I go around the corner and walk for a bit.

Suddenly I'm on the bus with my dog and we are driving through the storm.I become lucid because I don't remember boarding the bus. I walk around the bus for a minute but everything is too black and I lose the dream.

      Jamie Returns

Dream about an old friend. We are in some dark back yard with a large dark green tree. She says she has to explain everything to me so I will understand. She goes to the tree and finds an opening I follow her inside. Inside is like another world. There's something strange inside. There are lines of white powder flowing down from the walls. Jamie starts snorting lines... ummm okay, then disappears and wakes up (She ways into some drugs when I knew her but not heavily.)

suddenly i'm outside the tree and it's on a high landing. i'm holding onto it because I don't want to fall. Some guy with a beard walks by and says something to me but I'm not paying attention.

    13. TOTY Success - Saucer

      by , 06-27-2017 at 05:18 PM
This is a DEILD where the dream forms outdoors with not much around. I think about the alien task of the year. I confidently know the flying saucer is up ahead. I see it by a rock formation. The ship is somewhat oval shaped with rigid panels. I enter and sit and there are lighted controls above me that I press to get the ship moving. I explain to my copilot who is already inside what I'll say when we get to the planet as my way of reminding myself the points of the task. It is not long before we arrive. We stop and I get out of the ship. This alien planet is not very interesting. Its dark, I'm on ridge at a ranch-like setting with less around, overlooking a bland desert city somewhat lit up in the distance, below and well out from the ridge. The aliens are seemingly formless. I'm making out only a watery shimmer in the space I assume they occupy. I hold up peace fingers and say my line "I come in peace and I want to learn your ways" and then I ask them to teach me something…I am led to a small garden, up ahead near some possible living structure, growing something like vegetables and they telepathically tell me "food and family (are what it's all about)." I think more about their appearance as the scene fades and I get an image of a black draped and black crepe-faced or masked figure. The craft was quite cool but the planet was not very exciting. I should have let my mind run wild with all of the exciting possibilities for where I would land, which might have produced something more spectacular.
    14. Broke a Dry Spell

      by , 06-27-2017 at 04:31 PM
Gotta break out of the habit of changing my technique when I'm in a dry spell. I so wish MILD would work, because the setup seems pretty easy but it hasn't and it won't for whatever reason. Lying in bed with a "Clear,Quiet, in the moment" mind and waiting for sleep to overtake me has been my best entry into lucid dreaming. A notable thing I remember from the lucid dream was that it was very cold. I did my very best to stabilize the dream with hand rubbing but it only prolonged it another 5 seconds or so.

    15. Vampires in the Closet (another childhood lucid dream)

by , 06-27-2017 at 03:11 AM (Nonsense and Conundrums)
I think this lucid dream (it seemed a lot more like an OBE, but it doesn't really matter) also occurred when I was about five or six, a little while after the first. And for someone my age, this one was a nightmare.

I "woke up" in my bed. Upon getting up, I suddenly realized I could feel my body still sleeping in my bed, yet here I was, standing up and fully awake!

I walked down the hall of my house, heading toward my parents room to see if I could see them sleeping. For some reason, there was small patches of the floor that were on fire. Once I was in my parent's room, all seemed well, but their closet door was open wide. They had one of those big walk in closets, so I went inside.

Perched upon the top shelf was a strange looking dark creature that I considered to be a vampire at the time. It didn't do much of anything but stare at me, but seeing anything so hideous at my young age was utterly terrifying, and I willed my self to wake up by forcing my waking-self's eyes open.
