    1. Down The Rabbit Hole / Drugception

      by , 08-14-2014 at 05:08 PM
I didn't make too much of an attempt to remember this dream when I woke up because I don't have any technology with which to log notes at the moment, so the more minor details have been lost to me now. However, I still remember the main plot.

I have a memory of how this dream started, but I honestly can't remember if it was something that I actually experienced or just a false memory that was added in at some point later on in the plot. Regardless, what I recall is being at some friend's sort of oddly designed house with a few other people, and I think at least one of those people was doing the same thing I was. The main thing I can remember is being given a dose of LSD to take, which I did.

After that point, the dream got very abstract for a while. It's hard to remember much of what happened, and I have to feel like my mind was simulating ego loss by just making the dream all hazy and third-person. What I do remember though is that at some point there was a flash of scenery that was natural and very beautiful but also physically impossible. I had stronger awareness for just a moment, with which I became lucid.

I found myself standing on the edge of a cliff overlooking a huge drop down into a valley overlooking a vast ocean under a sunset in full view. Floating above this valley was a large section of land with a forest on it, just hanging there in the distance. There was actually forest all around me on the cliffs too, it was all quite serene and aesthetically pleasing. I actually spent most of the lucid that I can recall simply enjoying the breeze at that altitude and taking in everything that I was seeing. I also flew around that area just a little bit and repeatedly used my new technique of taking off my glasses to increase the vividness of the scene, which worked every time.

At some point after that, things got very hazy and abstract again. There was more that was going on but it was again hard to recall, but the next thing that comes back to me is suddenly snapping into my dream body at the friend's house where I initially took the LSD. I was hit with the sudden realization that everything I had just experienced was a part of my trip, but I was perplexed because I thought it had felt so much lucid dreaming. I mainly spent the rest of the dream thinking back on the experience, until I woke up.

It was even more of a mindfuck when I actually got up. It was like a lucid dream inside of a trip inside of a non-lucid dream. o.O

    2. Semi-Lucid: Government Drones and LDing Crystals

by , 08-14-2014 at 01:53 PM (Lucid Time!)
Boy is this a cool one.

Me and S are invovled with something lucid dreaming related. We need to find all of the lucid dreaming crystals scattered around the globe to prevent um... something bad from happening. I can't remember what. We have already collected two of the crystals, a green one and a blue one. The crystals themselves are tiny but they go in these oriental metal storage boxes with open sides, making their apparent bulk considerable. The crystals we have collected are actually hidden at my house.
We are on a school bus, the only ones. Somebody had to be driving though. (And they were driving like a crazy person, crashing into cars and such.) I didn't even think about that until we got off. Also, it turned out the government wanted to control these crystals to make weapons. So they had sent a drone to kill us.
A copter drone comes down. It is perhaps 8 feet wide with four rotors on the sides and an assault cannon on the bottom. It shoots into the side of the school bus and we duck down. Broken glass and metal goes everywhere.
S tells me to get the Minigun. I look and see a large armored box, open it, and sure enough there is a Minigun inside. Now IWL, I probably couldn't even lift a Minigun much less use it effectively, but supposedly as a part of finding the lucid dreaming crystals, some of our powers carried over into the real world. Thus, I had the power of super strength and could lift it. I battled the drone back and fourth. I would fire, and it would pull out of view. He would fire, and I would duck and hope I didn't get shot.
The driver pulled into a woods with a high canopy. The drone couldn't follow us there. We got out of the bus. I then learned that the driver was in fact Manei (My DG) and apparently as part of finding the crystals, now only had my powers carried over, but my DG as well. But she looked a little strange. She looked like my DG blended with my crush from sophmore year HS. Whatever. No time to ask her out on a date, this is way more exciting anyway.
She says she is going to hide the Minigun under some branches and leaves in the woods until we need it again, and walks off leaving me and S. We walk into my sub very nonchalantly, as if we are no longer being tracked by the government. One power that carried over from S's dream is that he can fuse two objects to get a better one. He says he will fuse the bikes together for me to use since I am faster on my bike. He does so and makes this really cool looking racing bike. S then fuses our cars into a sports car and says he will take this.
      S drives off.
I start flying after him. Supposedly at this point we were supposed to go our separate ways to look for more of the crystals.
    3. Lucid but didn't fall asleep fully

      8/13/14

      Last night bed around 11:30 - 8am

      Nap to WILD 9:25am - 12:20pm

I did my ascending breath breathing excercise as I always do and felt my body getting super relaxed very quickly. I felt my head getting "relaxed" too, and I knew lucid is near. I was right there on the edge, but no lucid yet. I figured it's because I'm not asleep yet. I know sometimes we think we are awake when we are in fact already asleep, and thatused to happen to me all the time, but this time I really was still fully awake.

I pushed my head back and got a falling backwards feeling, but as soon as I stopped pushing, I came back. So I continued the motion and stood up on the bed, without bending knees or anything else. Quite freeky, but I have done it before, and did it a few times today too.

After standing up, I went through few doors. Each one lead to an empty room with whitewashed walls. One was kinda dark and led someplace else. I have made a decision few month ago to explore rooms and houses, since they normally scare me and all I want to do is to jump out the first window. But this last room, I said no thank you and backed out. But no matter what I was expecting, all rooms were emtpy with whitewashed walls.

This goes on for quite a while, and I remember doing some things in rooms as well.

Then I slept for 2 more hours.

    4. DEILD Karate

      by , 08-14-2014 at 02:47 AM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
So I slept from 12midnight - 3am, then couldn't sleep until my alarm went off at 6:45am. I hit the first snooze and as I drifted off, I got WILD vibes. This is the first time I had this particular type of sensation: As I fell back to sleep on my side, I suddenly felt like I was on my stomach with my face pressed against the pillow when the vibrations started. I found it difficult to turn this into lucidly getting out of bed, and when I finally did, I kinda fell over. Then the alarm went off again (9 minute snoozes).

I was still on my side, and I drifted off again, and felt vibrations again. I was able to get out of bed a bit easier this time, and looked at my phone. The screen lighting was dull, and the otterbox was fitted all weird. I couldn't think of any tasks other than the 2 I had already done, so I just left the room and went down the hall to the livingroom. DC Danny was sitting on the couch, and I just randomly decided to do a karate jump kick. As I was suspended in the air in a kick position, the thought occurred to me to continue the kick through the window, but I woke up when the alarm went off again.

I fell asleep again, then suddenly woke up, worried that I had slept in. So I reached for my phone, and it was like it was in one of the DEILD chains: messed up case and screen. LUCID! So I ran back to the livingroom for a second go at the karate jump kick. Didn't even notice if Danny was there this time. I did it and aimed for the window, willing myself to phase through foot first without breaking the glass. And it worked!!!! My foot went through the glass as if it were made of a really stiff jello. I float-flew a bit outside, and it was so nice. Early morning, lots of dew on the grass, and the streets were a bit wet as if it had rained during the night. Sin was sparkling off everything, and the air was cool but not cold. I flew up a bit too high and felt a bit of vertigo, so I landed on the edge of the roof. Then I tipped forward with my feet still on the edge of the roof, and straightened my body, tipped until I was parallel with the ground. Very cool sensation. Then I put my right foot out in front of me, and let it stretch (or the ground moved up or both), until it touched the ground, all the while my left foot was still touching the roof. If you could see it, I probably looked like I was doing the splits, while my legs doubled in length lol. Then I put my left foot on the ground, and took off running through the wet grass that sparkled like emeralds. It felt so good, but I woke up after a few seconds. I checked my phone for real this time, and I still had 2 minutes left, so that last dream + falling asleep time only lasted 7 minutes.

The fact I got so little sleep was so incredibly cancelled out by the buzz of these fun lucids. I wasn't that tired at work, didn't even need a break, and only took a 2 hour nap when I got home. Everyone should be so lucky after a night of insomnia.
    5. Chased

      by , 08-14-2014 at 12:12 AM
I'm just going to write the third dream. I was lucid at a school with my brother. Snacks and candy were being handed out. I could not resist the sweet temptation. (Why? I don't know.Maybe I was semi lucid at that time) As I was eating gummy snacks and talking to my bro I arrived outside a church. The ground was made of grey shiny stone and so was the church. That's when someone summoned a sword and told me to use it in the dream. I became fully lucid but forgot a task I was going to do for accillis. So I took the sword and left with someone somewhere. We appeared inside a room in a school. Suddenly the school was on high alert. Three dangerous beings broke in the school. I was eating gummy candy than realized my sword was gone. The room began to shake and the school was flying up. Everyone tried to stay balanced and not get hurt. I told a guy to grab my hands and we floated together so we couldn't bump into the walls. Than the shaking stopped and everyone in the room bumped into each other. The boy grabbed me after that and we were flying away to some safe room in a apartment that he knew about. I noticed as he was flying with me though that he looked like a fairy. When we went through a door I saw a group of people. There was a lady sitting next to three shirtless french guys saying how lucky she was and speaking french.(She wasn't french though. Maybe a African american lady)A bad girl appeared behind me though and tried hitting me but i punched her till she disappeared. After that I decided to play with the dcs a bit and started to speak Japanese. There was another girl there who was trying to communicate to me with hand gestures. I than noticed a paper that was like a map to a secret world and asked her where it was. Another girl behind me was making hand signals to the other one to not tell me where it was. I tried speaking Japanese again than woke up. Also, im not Japanese. I just know the language cause I studied it. But not in school so im not a pro.

    6. "Ballroom Flying"

      by , 08-13-2014 at 05:54 PM (Threecat's Dreamtime)
Woke up around 6:00 from an earlier dream cycle, DJed a bit, and then worked on MILD for several minutes. Here was the result:

I am at a dreaming convention or conference. I am walking around, maybe ordering food or looking for the restroom. I pass a man who seems a bit shady and scary. I am walking away so as not to cause a conflict when I decide to confront him, because this is just a dream. It now fully strikes me that I am dreaming. I nose pinch. I walk back to look for the DC, but cannot find him. Oh well.

The dream was long, so some material was lost. I decided to scope out the restroom; inside, under the stalls, I see dirty work boots. I turn around and look for the women's restroom. I can't find it. I laugh at my dream's attempt to thwart me.

Outside, I am walking across a plaza when I see a friend of mine from WL. She is quite pretty in this dream, and I decide to walk with her. I put my arm around her shoulder, and then when she does not reciprocate, I put her arm around my waist. She seems quite happy to be walking with me. I stroke her hair a bit, but firmly decide this will not be a sex dream. We chat a bit (can't remember about what) and make our way back indoors.

We are now seated in an auditorium. I remember that I want to start interrogating the subconscious more. I decide to start with her.

"You do realize this is a dream, don't you?" I ask.

      "Yes."

"So why exactly am I in your dream?" I then correct myself: "What I mean to say is, why are you in my dream?"

She begins to answer. I suddenly realize I wanted to do the task of the month? What were those tasks? She is talking but I don't hear her now. I begin trying to pluck out my eyeball. I focus on this very carefully, and try to phase my fingers through my face to get a better grip. I'm not having much luck, and I think to myself, I am not tearing my eye out of my face, even if I am dreaming. I decide to do the basic instead.

I turn to my friend and ask her to tell me a word in a different language.

She says some gibberish. "And what does that mean?" I ask.

She suddenly laughs. "Oh my god," she says. "I've got my words mixed up!" She then gets up and starts walking off, laughing. I look around for someone else to help.

I see a gangster-looking fellow sitting near me. I decide to ask him.

      "River," he says.

"Ok," I say, a little peeved that this is an English word, "but what does it mean?" I ask.

      "Vitherur," he says.

"Virrerrur?" I ask? I'm having trouble understanding his accent. He nods and says, "Vitherur."

"Vitherur," I say. He nods again. I consider asking him to reconstruct the order, but figure the information is the same: vitherur = river. I then decide I am going to fly. I have the slightest moment of hesitation, but then decide that no, even my abilities at flying are not stopping me from flying today. I easily lift into the air and begin soaring around the auditorium. The ceiling is high and so it is easy to get some good height inside the room. As I am soaring about, I think to myself that this is why I enjoy lucid dreaming. What better way to spend the morning? Triumphant orchestral music begins to play, and I fly around, turning over and over in the air. I see a young boy I know in WL flying as well, moving some electrical cables to prepare for the show. I fly past him, smiling.

I now decide to land and go into the back room. On the way, I see some items stacked on a shelf--maybe plates or bottles--and I sweep them to floor because this is a dream and I can do that. I marvel at the realistic clattering sound they make as they scatter on the floor, and the tactile sensation I get on my hands. I decide to attempt Photoshop TotM. I will the room around me to become purple, but realize it already is purple. I then decide to change it to sepia, based on another member's dream journal (can't remember whose at the moment, sorry!). Nothing happens. I shrug, and decide I may need a schema to assist me (such as a laptop). I head back out. As I am leaving, my flip-flop comes off (?) and I am about to turn around and get it when I remember I'm dreaming and say fuck it, and walk out with only one shoe on.

The auditorium has turned into a dimly lit hallway. Ceiling fans circulate at high speed. I try to fly but just fall to the ground. I don't mind much. I begin walking down the hallway. The light slowly fades though until it is almost completely dark. I hear a sound now--growling and teeth--and some animal attacks me in the darkness. I begin petting him vigorously, telling him he's a good boy (dog activated in my mind quickest). It begins to pant and then it licks me. I am still roughing him up happily when I realize
I'm squeezing my pillow. I wake up to write this all down. Hit the MILD again but can't get back to sleep.

    7. Disgusting Ordinary Eyeball

      by , 08-13-2014 at 04:30 PM
Ritual: Went to bed at 2am, much later than I had intended. Wanted to wake up between 4-4:30 if possible so I could make a sandwich for my husband to take on his flight. Didn't set alarm, only intention; if it didn't work, that was fine. Woke up promptly at four so got up and went to the kitchen. Then I realized if I didn't stay up to give him the sandwich he would never know it existed, so in the end I didn't go back to bed until after he left at 5. I repeated my tasks aloud a few times to make them easier to remember, using simple keywords: "eyeball, calcifer, fairy tale." Wanted to give SSILD another fair shake after recent lack of success—been falling asleep too easily. After this hour-long WBTB I arranged a ramp of pillows to elevate my upper body and settled back to do SSILD, supposing that the half-reclining would help inhibit sleep. It did—and I realized I had been semi-dozing rather than really sleeping when I got up again at 5:40 and decided to dismantle the pillow-ramp to get some proper sleep. I didn't notice REM during any of these sleep and half-sleep periods so I wasn't optimistic, but I did a couple SSILD cycles on my side before drifting off to sleep fairly quickly. It was 6:30am when I woke up for real (after FA) and began this account.

FA: "....it ignored me, and I felt silly talking to a fire."

Okay, guess now I have to start over. Wrote half of the account up in FA. Which is funny, because when I woke up I did sense that I could probably re-enter the dream state but decided not to because I wanted to write a solid report on what I'd done so far. And here I had felt so responsible and industrious! I wrote down quite a bit but only remember the last line word for word, so I reproduced it above. It's interesting that it is worded in the past tense. My dream reports often swap randomly between past and present tense but the present tense predominates.

DILD: I was in my bedroom in the half-light of early morning, and I heard voices outside the room. This confused me, because no one else should be home right now. One of them sounded like my brother, but he shouldn't be here. And I could hear another voice, a man's voice I didn't recognize. I grabbed my phone from the nightstand, thinking I'd dial in "9-1-1" and have the call ready to go if needed before I investigated further, in case it was burglars or something.

The phone wasn't working. It seems to be stuck on the calendar app, and even this is in some weird and confusing format. I keep pressing the main button to try to get back to the home screen so I can reach the page to dial from, but nothing helps. I still hear the voices and worry that the intruders might come into the room before I can get the phone working and then I'll have no recourse. Should I go outside to the back patio, so it will be easier to run away if necessary? At some point the absurdity of the whole scenario finally strikes me and I wonder if I'm dreaming. Since no one is around to see, I do a quick nose pinch. I can breathe easily. So I am dreaming! Oh good, there were tasks I needed to get done! I realize that since this was a DILD, I'm probably already fairly well-integrated into the dream state and check my impressions. A bit of roughness as I begin to move but not too bad, and the dream feels stable. I don't feel the need for further stabilization as long as I can avoid letting the paranoia of waking wake me up, so I put it out of mind and walk rapidly to the kitchen.

I've brought my phone and figure it might come in handy at some point later on, so I try to slide it into the pocket of my skirt. Trouble is, I'm not wearing a skirt. I make the "sliding into pocket" gesture a few times, intending a long skirt with pockets to manifest, but it doesn't and the phone falls to the floor. Whatever. At least the pattern is in place, so I feel confident that I can get it out of my pocket later if I need it.

I grab the bread from the kitchen counter, noting that it is a packet of round pita bread rather than the sandwich loaf that is there in waking life, and head out to the patio. Which task first? I love the idea of Howl's Moving Castle so I decide to start with that one. First I try to summon the castle directly, not through any special method, just willing it to approach on its own legs. It doesn't appear promptly, so I start with plan B: conjure a fire, call it "Calcifer," and feed it until it becomes strong enough to build the castle from the ground up. The first part should be easy; I've practiced conjuring fire before in this very spot. So I hold out my right hand and concentrate on creating a flame in my open palm. There's just one problem. It is raining, quite heavily actually. Typical dream perversity! I'm trying to fill my palm with fire, but meanwhile it is filling up with water. I ignore the dream's little joke, and keep concentrating on the fire.

Sure enough, I shortly begin to feel the heat and see the brightness of the flame. I set it on the ground and start feeding it chunks of pita bread, calling it "Calcifer" and trying to coax it to respond. It grows larger at first, but doesn't show any sentience, and now the rain is causing it to dwindle despite my attempts to feed it. I decide to continue this experiment indoors, out of the rain. I pick up the fire, just carrying it in my hands, go inside and set it down again on a flat stone ledge, about two and half feet in width and height (the interior of the house no longer corresponds in any way to RL). I feed the fire and continue calling it "Calcifer" to try to get a response, but it ignores me, and I feel silly talking to a fire. I go outside, careful to take the fire out again with me so as not to leave it untended in the house, and fly up in the air before releasing it. I instruct it to go seek out Howl's Castle, hoping that it might reappear at some point later point in the dream.

I return to the ground, once again in a place recognizably like my back patio, though it is no longer raining. What next? I realize the eyeball task should be quick and easy, if I can stomach it, so I ought to knock that one out of the way. I consider going inside the house to use a real mirror, but I don't want to waste time so I stand outside the sliding glass door to the kitchen and rely on the faint reflection of myself I can see there. There is nothing unusual about my reflection—much less so than usual, actually. When thinking about this task in waking life I had decided (for the sake of safety and squeamishness) to try to remove the eyeball in a more hands-off way, simply raising my palm and trying to pop it out through will alone, but now that I'm ready to go I don't even remember that idea. Instead I lift my right hand to my right eye and just start digging in there. I feel a momentary discomfort, enough to make me think, "I'd better be damn sure I'm dreaming!" before I feel the fingers slide smoothly into the socket with little pain, and this reassures me.

The eye pops out easily, but it is attached to a surprisingly thick, gross, fleshy stalk. Even at the time I realize that my experience has probably been colored by other accounts of this task I've already read on the DV thread, some of which mention similar stalks. The stalk is inconvenient and ugly so I keep pulling until the eyeball breaks free, then turn it around to inspect it. It looks remarkably like an eyeball. I had been hoping that it would transform into something cool, like an orb of glass or even a jewel. But nope. It is a disturbingly life-like eyeball, with a distinct iris and pupil and even a bit of red tattered membrane where the stalk had been attached. When I aim the iris and pupil toward me, they already look dead and unseeing, so it doesn't occur to me to try to use this eyeball to see with. Also, although I don't take note of this at the time, in retrospect I can report that there was no subjective change in my experience of vision; I was still "seeing" as though with two intact eyes.

I had meant to look at my reflection again after pulling the eye out, but I forget to do so. Instead I'm absorbed in inspecting this very ordinary-looking eyeball and trying to find any notable details to report. I do observe that the iris seems to have changed color: from the initial blue it has faded to a drab brown. It is still kind of creepy to be holding my eyeball, so without experimenting further I pop it back in. Luckily no difficulties there, and only then do I remember to check my reflection. I look normal and still don't notice any changes to my vision. I feel a momentary regret that I didn't remember to try to transform the eyeball into something else before putting it back in, but I feel reasonably satisfied with the task so I'm ready to move on.

Now I'm down to the last of the three tasks I'd planned, and I feel a bit apprehensive. In one way or another, this damned Hansel and Gretel idea has been eluding me. But I still have my bag of pita bread, so I get started: my plan is to start dropping breadcrumbs as I walk, hopefully find myself in a forest, and see what happens from there. I re-read the story a few weeks ago in my copy of Brothers Grimm, but I haven't tried to flesh out the intended scenario because I want to give the dream leeway to respond creatively to my breadcrumb trail. So I start walking across the patio and dropping crumbs, and now I just have to figure out which way to go. My original plan had been to start on the street in front of the house, which had once transformed into an ideal forest in a previous unrelated dream, but now I'm behind the house and want to get started right away rather than have my plans potentially disrupted by a detour. It's okay, I'd planned for this too. I figured the hill behind the house might be wild enough that I could start climbing it and work it into a suitable forest. However, now when I look in that direction, I see a paved concrete footpath that leads between suburban houses with neatly trimmed lawns. Dream is being perverse again. In the opposite direction is a second path, smaller, with a similar suburban aspect. Which one will lead me sooner to a forest? Both look completely domesticated. I figure I'll just start with the first one and try thinking "forest" as I go. I start off, dropping my bread crumbs, but with no warning I wake up—or out of the dream, at least. As mentioned above, I sensed that I could re-enter the dream state but decided to write my report instead, was under the impression that I had gotten up, and wrote for quite a while before waking up for real.

    8. Too Cowardly for Suicide Mission on Maxis Behalf - Lightning Bolts and Half-Cattiness

      by , 08-13-2014 at 01:33 PM

Long lucid, for me - several minutes and with DEILD. I caught a dreamsign and asserted lucidity with an RC. That didn't happen in the comp for some reason - I knew it before RCing then. The sign was again failing to be decently clothed in public. I was thinking like - ha - it can even happen in reality!!
I made the nose-plug more for the fun of it - not expecting to be able to breathe.
Even then I was still a bit unsure, and jumped into the air and hovered. That did it then. Next thing to happen - I feel, I need to use the toilet very urgently. Buut - this time I remember and do what I had planned - namely just lucidly pissing away. Took a while, but then the feeling was gone and I was satisfactorily still lucidly hovering in my dream.
So okay - planned is the lucid dare of Maxis' again - this is what I just posted in the respective thread:

Quote Originally Posted by StephL View Post

Being afraid it might hurt - damn. Next time, I'm getting there! Been trying to transform as well, what I managed was going on all fours without having the feeling of awkwardness - I also looked a bit smoky whitish translucent, like my avatar, but it wasn't very convincing.
So this dare is a good piece of work for me here!! Huge thank you again Maxis - I love it difficult!
But a great dream - very long lucid for my usual state of affairs, even with DEILD, but I didn't give it a second go at thunderstorm.

Maybe I chose that a bit too close to home - having survived a thunderstorm on a mountain in about 2000 m height, that was a close thing. I was with friends and one of them almost hooked his karabiner into an iron ladder, over which we would have had to get, to then climb down to a hut on the other side of the rock, which had the ladder. He said his hair stood on end, we all felt it a bit later and shortly after that, lightning struck the ladder - with us only meters off.
Total white-out and the noise - you wouldn't believe, literally deafening... We moved faster than ever before, throwing our climbing equipment (metal) from us in concert, taking shelter - it felt like completely on auto-pilot, and as if time had stopped. We waited the worst of it out in the shadow of some big rocks instead of going on to that hut. He saved our lives - we could have all four been in the rope by the time it struck, all dead.

But now I want it - falling into a sword would be easier for me, I'm pretty sure - but now I want this!!

^^was approximately like this - less blue and a bit less bolts as well, not much less, though...
It was interesting with the transformation, I started out to go on all fours, like a human would, awkwardly - but it evened itself out. I imagined a cat walking and my feeling of my own movements adapted to this in such a way, that I felt at home in that mode. But still in a quasi-human shape. I didn't have a mirror of course - next time I'll see, if I can summon one - maybe that makes it easier?
Besides that - I thought of my avatar and got a bit of the texture, see above, almost ghostly.

All the while conjuring a lightning storm, with invocation. This was rather easy - last time, I didn't get no bolts, so practice makes perfect, I guess.

I woke up from that, even moved about a bit and opened my eyes, but falling asleep again, I was instantly lucid. Unfortunately I couldn't remember the basic tasks for the month, so I just went flying about a bit. While doing this, I thought about falling, trying to survive an impact, but I also remembered that this was the one way to die, which wasn't available to me for the dare. Which kind of was a relief - damn - I need to trust the dream-state more - killing myself is just about the perfect thing to work on at the moment, I guess.

If it wasn't for DV and I would maybe learn LDing on my own - I don't think, I would grapple with such things, I wouldn't so much test out my borders, my psychological borders, like this fear - and neither the technical ones.

      All hail to the community!!

read the dream yoga section (after reading the introductory parts earlier) of "The Tibetan Yogas of Dream and Sleep", very excited about the practice.

      00:00 Tuesday 2014-08-12

00:17 pre-bedtime. day memory review, set strong intention to LD

      00:35 bedtime

03:00 ? awake, hear sounds coming from wife and son in other rooms, a bit concerned about sounds from outside, take off mask and look out the window, BTB.

      04:38

      +(f) something about a farm?

05:46 LDs #48 and #49, they were awesome

+ in my room in the night, the door to my room was open, my wife and son (S1) were making noises and they came into my room and turned on the light. S1 wanted to do something with my computer which I needed for work, he wanted to install his own 3d chip into my laptop, I'm upset what are they doing here in the middle of the night, I'm tired, it was like 3am, I didn't want to let him do it, this is my work computer anything you do to it could ruin it. I feel a bit bad about rejecting him so I say "ok you can do it, but for one thing don't come in here at 3am." Then I get a *creepy* phone call, I answer it and I here a voice say "Hey, <my full name>, <something>" (I don't remember what they said but I understood "they" were watching me and weren't friendly), kind of laughing at me, I wondered how they did that. I returned to my bed and saw a low cabinet/closet open in the wall, there were pillow and sheets there, I was taking out some pillows. I'm back in bed and starting to get lucid?...

+ ... I'm suddenly in my sister's room in my chldhood home looking out into the hallway and am instantly lucid, I went out into the hallway, and started down the stairs. I started thinking about what to do and I decided to summon a DDGSHG I had seen before, and the dream ends...

+ I'm standing in a hotel lobby in just my underwear because I had locked myself out of my room. There are people in the lobby, the front desk is a circular island in the middle of the room, there are clerks there, I go to the front desk and say I locked myself out of my room. I felt a bit awkward being there in just my underwear (but not very much), they didn't respond to me so I go back to the elevator. The buttons were strange and I wasn't sure if it was actually an elevator or not, it seemed to open into a bathroom, the buttons were all located very low to the ground, they were all lit, I couldn't tell what was going on. I got out and walked through a dining room, I knew it was late at night, there were people eating, at a table, food on a buffet, I saw what I thought were sushi sandwiches, I continued walking by, I walk past a woman who whispers to her companion "that man's in his underwear!" and I angrily respond "Yeah, I know, that happens when you get locked out!"

+ ... and I'm in bed, "awake", in a dark room, but I thought I could be dreaming still, nose pinch showed that I was still dreaming. I tried to get up out of bed, I could move my arms and legs which went up into the air a bit but my body wouldn't move. OK, if I'm stuck in bed lets summon KS my highschool sweetheart. Should I teleport to the swimming pool where we were on our awesome swimming date? I feel my heartrate start to increase dramatically (either dream or actual, I don't know) at this thought, I know I have to calm down so I decide "forget that." I am able to roll out of bed and I'm standing in the room. It's a small hotel room with a wall-sized window running from floor to ceiling, covered with closed blinds. The orange lights from the city street lamps are leaking through the blinds. I know I'm in a room up high off the ground and there is a city outside. I'm sure I'm dreaming, but I don't want to fall and die so I do another nose pinch, and I step back away from the window to the wall at my back and take a few running steps and stretch my hands out superman style and fly right through the window and blinds out into the orange-tinted cityscape, I'm way up above the ground look down and see people/cars moving on the street, there are other tall buildings all around, I turn towards my right and fly in that direction.

There was another big window approaching. I was doing "superman with a go pro" style power bursts of speed by thrusting my fist forwards forcefully, I could feel the acceleration of motion when I did this. There were people around, some were flying, some were on the ground, they were *very bright and vivid*, I was amazed at the visual quality. I do a power fly through this large glass wall, it's into a crystal clear but dark night scene with shining snow falling down. The city scape starts to head up into hills in front of me. I think I should be looking for a woman and I turn around in the air and I see a big bulky woman approaching me, I reach for and squeeze her breasts and she turns into a man with man-boobs, I think "no no no be a beautiful woman" and he turns into a young beautiful woman, her right breast is exposed, it is firm and lovely, I reach to take it into my mouth
      and I wake up.

Takes a long while to get back to sleep but I want more lucids! I feel them in me, just gotta get back to sleep. Takes all my sleep kung fu and concentration but I eventually sleep again.

      10:02

+ going into a small convenience store. I do something wrong or have stolen something, the store owner gets mad at me, I'm kicked out, I feel lucky to escape with my life.

I order lunch at the pizza place (LV) I order the lunch special, one guy goes on an on about how LV is better than the other place LV has the original flavor, I place the order with a guy who's outside. Then I return to this place and I sense it's been a long time since I placed the order but I know that my lunch must be ready, I have the guy I ordered with go and pick it up I think that's better because he has more authority, I hear him talking to the counter, apparently it's not ready yet and that they have to make a second one and give it to me free.

Scene inside a house, a small boy is a servant/slave, I see his small boy face, the young man master is preparing to murder the and place him into a box. The slave boy didn't do anything wrong, the master man says "it's just that kind of a thing." I'm observing. The master is wrapping the boy up in tape. Then a guy (from the convenience store gang?) comes up stealthily behind the evil master and sticks a long knife deeply into the bad guy's side, he does that several times. The young master freezes in shock and pain. The young man's family enters at this time into the dining room (on a level above the room we're in) it's a very wealthy family they're shocked at the scene in the living room below them.

+(f) PA vs. K (cities)? There are two houses and I see their addresses and say them out loud.

+(f) With MR parking a car on HC. Getting something out of the back of his car.

+ on a floating (in the sky?) boat there's a party prepared for one guy by his gay lover, he walks up the stairway to his lover who is the host and they're going to get down to business.

+ I see a convenience store mafia guy again in my parents house at a party our eyes meet he has a goatee I nod to him in recognition he doesn't acknowledge me back. Later there's something to do with money, if he gives me back all the money he'll kill me and he starts to give me money and I start to freak out but he only gives me a few coins and decides not to kill me.
    10. Lucid #9: Out the Window

      by , 08-13-2014 at 12:44 PM
I don't remember too many details of this one because I was asleep for a while between having it and writing it down. In fact, I almost forgot it entirely.

I'm in a room interacting with a DC when I become lucid. I remember my goal of attempting the second basic TOTM and robbing a bank with only a banana. The first step, is getting out of the room. There's a window, which I open and lean out of. The room is many stories above the ground.

I decide to jump out. I do a couple of RCs to make extra extra sure I'm dreaming, then slither out and fall. I expect it won't hurt and, though I do feel a definite crunching sensation when I hit the ground, there's no pain. I get up but big black spots start appearing in my vision. I attempt to stabilize but become convinced that my IRL body is moving with my dream body. I decide to hold on for a DEILD.
      That's the last I remember.

      Grossssssssssssssssssssssssssssss....... :hurl:

Ok here's what happened: I remember being in the car with my real dad, driving down the highway. It suddenly dawned on me that I shouldn't be in California, so I bet I'm dreaming. I had just enough doubt about it though, and didn't want to just open the car door. Plus even lucid accidents can hurt. So I tried to be subtle by just poking my finger through the roof of the car, and it went through as if it were made of jello. YES! My dad glanced over at me with a "wtf?!" look on his face. I said "No time to explain! I gotta take out my eyeball real quick." I took 3 fingers from my right hand, and curved them into a sort of scoop, then stuck them in the inner corner of my right eye. It felt loose and ready to easily scoop out. So I scooped it out, but it acted like it had some pressure built up behind it, like it's been meaning to come out for a while (which it HAS.. been attempting this task for a while). So when it came out, about a foot of optic nerve and optic muscles kinda hurled out with it, with my eyeball still attached. My dad and I both screamed "Ew GROSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!" and I got a flinch of panic. "What if I can't put my eyeball back in and can't wake myself up, and have to go through this whole dream with a gross dangling eyeball?" Because let's face it, it felt real, and I was no blind in that eye. So I oh so carefully shoved the whole mess back into my eyesocket, all the while telling myself "It'll be ok, it's going in fine, no problem." It went back in fine, and I blinked a couple times and could see again. My dad was looking at me peripherally with a mixed expression of disbelief and disgust. Then I just lost it. I bent forward and howled with laughter. I mean, it was a deep, jolly LOUD laugh at all the ridiculousness that just happened, and then I woke up.

I couldn't fall asleep early at night. Went to sleep at 4am I think. I don't recall what I dreamt at first but when I was trying to WILD I got close to being in a lucid dream but it was short so I decided I would just have a regular dream at first. When I woke up after the non lucid dream I tried to WILD. It was kind of annoying waiting for it to work though. When I first got into the dream I was in a huge place that seemed like it was cut into parts. There was a room and to the other side was a city like place. Anyways I wasnt lucid at first.I recall being told by someone that my cousin was trying to steal my boyfriend.(I don't have a BF) I got mad and we started fighting.(I think I fought her in a setting where there was a huge laser) But than a boy separated me from my cousin and said she couldn't touch me now. I think he gave me blueberry/cherry twizlers to eat to keep me quiet or something. I recall him saying to fix a scenery of a beach in my mind like some mind relaxation exercise...I tried and I think I passed the exercise. After that I saw a weird image of cartoon animals walking into a tree house though. But than it stopped and I noticed the guy telling a group of girls whoever sticks their head in the fence will win him as a boyfriend. I was lucid and put my head in the fence like a ghost than pulled it out. I thought the test wasn't worth it and stupid though so I just watched the girls do the test. That's when a Gothic girl with pale skin and almost bald walked to the fence but she said her head was too big to fit in it. I said its not bad that she doesn't have a small head. That her head was nice even though she was almost bald.(Didn't mean it in a mean way though) Than she sat down and told me how she really wants to win cause she always comes home to a mad house and maybe if she wins she'll be happy. She even told me she has had future telling dreams. I laughed in a friendly way and asked her if she knows the future lottery numbers. I think she said no than the dream faded slowly and I woke up. Tried to WILD again but failed and had a non lucid dream I don't remember..

    13. Nightmare After Nightmare

      by , 08-12-2014 at 09:30 PM
Last night and peering into this morning, I have a series of nightmares. I don't obviously remember a great number of details since I don't care to remember nightmares. Well, I remember throughout the whole dream(s), I was constantly chased by someone wanting to kill me. I remember a group of girls who constantly would threaten me and i would fear them knowing that they had some sort of weapon under their girly dresses. I don't remember much of their facial features but I do remember them being quite angelic looking, popular? I also have forgotten the reason why they all wanted to kill me,too. But i remember walking through my high school but it was a new high school as I was transferred due to overpopulation or certain classes being unavailable. So, I remember feeling normal,no sign of a choking feeling from anxiety, walking through the hallways i remember in particular taking a seat next to a random group in that school. They were all rapping and while one of them went solo, i finished the last lyric. She was surprised at my rapping skills and wanted me to do my own verse. Afterwards, I remember constantly trying to just escape from where i was. I remember being in Texas with an unrecognizable grandmother. Everyone was on my side at one time then wanting to kill/butcher me the next minute. It was very terrifying remembering it now. I remember trying to get a phone to call police and I had the phone in one hand and a razor blade in the other as my hand was battling with my enemy. At this point, I was numb and couldn't feel any pain though I saw blood trickling down, clear as day. I was furious that they wouldn't stop chasing me now and the enemy, which was a man, started to feel the cutting and I felt pleasure now but it didn't last too long. I remember I also had one foot and leg out my a high window while doing this. Early in the dream, I also remember someone had a chopping knife and/or machete and I could feel the pain as they sliced through my leg. I still don't understand how I can incorporate these kind of feelings and levels of pain when in real life, I've never experienced anything similar. I even remember being threatened by my father and he also had a knife and knew i was trying to get a hold of the iPhone or iPod so i could call for help. Why do I feel real life pain in my dreams?

Me, my friend Adnan as Well one of my Old friends Sinai were going for a walk in Streets, Freeways, a Forest. At that point Sinai turned back saying "We will be truent, I forgot to talk to Kasie today." I nodded at this. We then walked through a Jungle and a Savvanah we met many dangers that we ran from like Wolves, Elephants, Lions, and I remember it was really hot. Eventually we turned around going back to our High School. I suposse Me, Sinai, and Adnan we were 9th Graders. School ended 30 Minutes later then the orignal time and some people were mad some people were happy for me and Adnan. I thought 'Hmm maybe Adnan can walk to my House and I can walk to his?' I then thought 'What the Heck how could that walk be 7 Hours? Am I Dreaming?' I thought. My vision became blurry and I woke up.
Anyways after that I remembered Lucid Dreaming I started to do Reality checks often...I notice my dreams start to become clearier. On my hand I wrote Awake :3 and Reality Check? I got really Interested in lucid dreaming, again. I almost did Lucid Dreaming 8-11-14 but my dad Woke me up....I could start to feel my lower body become Parylized. I almost fell asleep I hope I can accomplish it tonight. I use Light Switches, Hands, Mirror, Reading, Plug nose and shut mouth to see if you can breathe good and, another method which is writing. In the Comments below help me with my Journey of epicness and lucidness.

    15. Three more lucids, but recall suffered

      by , 08-12-2014 at 11:46 AM
I had three lucids, but could only remember a fragment of the second and the whole of the third. My recall suffered last night presumably because I went to bed a bit stressed and very late.

      Fragment of nonlucid
I remember at one point waking up and going to our kitchen. There was this cook/cleaner lady there who we hired in the dream. She kept moaning and complaining about everything and was generally obnoxious. I got a glass of water and drank it. She was wearing an apron and was quite old.
A while later we had another housekeeper lady and we sat down for dinner. There were baked beans, potatoes and chicken. Everyone loved the meal.

      Fragment of Second Lucid
I became lucid and wanted to go outside. My sister was walking past so I decided to look her in the eyes and see if her face was normal in the dream. It was. I can't remember anything else from the dream.

      Fragment of nonlucid
I was fighting this massive orc guy in armour. We both had battleaxes and the only way to hurt him was wait until he attacks, parry and then counter, like in Assassin's Creed. Just attacking him was bound to fail - he parried everything flawlessly. But there was a problem - he wouldn't attack for ages. It was as if he'd glitched out or something. I took a few steps backwards. He was on this pedestal a few steps up. He just stood there looking at me. I attacked, he parried, sending my axe flying across the sandy courtyard. I ran backwards and picked up a sword. But the guy wouldn't move, and I can't remember anything else.

      Third Lucid Dream
My dad, brother and I were walking around town which was bursting with pickpockets. Seriously, everytime we paused to look at something, they'd all be all around my dad like flies. He kept pushing them away. One time we went into a public toilet and as my brother and I were peeing, my dad had already finished and there were about three pickpockets on him, and he was pushing them away. We finished and then went towards him, shooing the pickpockets away. One of them said, "We know what make your wallet is now" to my dad.
We kept going and outside the toilets I asked dad if they'd succeeded in stealing anything. He said he doesn't think so.
"They're not getting my bracelet," he said, "and definitely not my necklace." I thought what? My dad wears jewellery? But sure enough, I saw a gold chain around his neck. I got the impression that they were given to him by his wife...but not my mum. Suddenly he wasn't my dad anymore. He was Phil Dunphy from Modern Family.
And the dream fastforwarded a few years, to a time when his wife had died. Phil had gone insane, his life didn't mean anything to him. I remember seeing him run out of a house, an American-type house. He was holding a knife of some sort with a weird contraption on it. He turned back towards the house. Another man came out with an identical knife and threw it. That knife whizzed through the air, but didn't rotate - instead it just flew like a homing missile. Phil blocked it with a rectangular piece of colourful material, probably made out of something like kevlar. The knife burrowed its tip into the material, still trying to get him. Then it retreated and hung in the air like a wasp. I saw the construction - it was a normal army knife, except it had attached to it at the bottom what looked like a magazine from a Tommy gun from those gangster movies. The component was round and made of metal. It was responsible for the knife being able to fly.
The two men went back inside, talking about how fun the game was. I followed and suddenly became an actual person as opposed to just a viewpoint. Phil, tired, sat down in my nan's chair and suddenly we were in my house. Me and the other guy sat down at opposite sides of a little table in front of Phil.
"Take out the pens" said Phil. I went over to a little cupboard and took out two more knives, but they had much narrower blades, clearly designed for thrusting and not cutting at all. They looked deadly, and had pens tied to the blades. I extended one pen over the edge of the blade, Phil did the same with his. I retreated back to the table.
"And now we shall play with theeeseeee" said Phil in his crazy voice. The other guy looked at me, terrified. I looked at him in the same way. I decided a swift exit was of highest priority. I got up and ran for the door. Phil screamed in rage and I could hear him going after me. As I was leaving, I saw the other guy put on a world war II helmet and curling up in his seat. I ran out of my house.
About halfway to the gate, I realised it was a dream. The garden was sunny and I had seen this setting too many times before not to realise I was in a dream. Suddenly my priority became to get rid of Phil so I could get on with my lucid. I stopped by the gate and turned around. Phil was running towards me, almost foaming at the mouth. I raised my hand kinda like Neo does in The Matrix Reloaded to stop all the bullets, and I willed Phil to stop. When he was about a meter away, he did freeze indeed, and then I waved my hand to the right. He was thrown on the floor with an invisible force. He was alive, but visibly hurt, though I'm pretty sure non-lethally. He seemed to be in a lot of pain. I concluded he would no longer be a problem in this dream.
I turned around and climbed over the gate. Once over I stabilized the dream by paying attention to my surroundings the feel of my feet on the street. I held out my hand and willed and imagined a sword materializing in it. Nothing happened. I tried again, with no luck. I racked my brains to try to remember other ways of summonning objects. And I remembered one.
"Oh wait, I REMEMBER: I put a LIGHTER in my POCKET" I said, very pointedly. Suddenly I was wearing a coat and put my hand into my right pocket. There was a lighter. I pulled it out. It was quite big and just made of plain shiny steel. I produced a flame and held it up. There were two dogs looking at me from a balcony of the house to my right, and I showed them the flame, impressed with myself. Then I put the lighter back in my pocket and said,
"I swear I remember putting a SWORD in my other pocket." And I reached into my left pocket hoping beyond hope that there'd be something in there. I felt some loose paper, but I closed my hand around something that felt more solid and pulled it out. It was a stiletto of sorts, still in its sheaf, quite light. It was still bigger than what could realistically fit in my pocket, but not as big as a sword. Still, I was quite pleased with myself. Still holding the sword I came to a crossroads. I thought I'd explore my subconsciousness a bit.
"Subconscious, show yourself!" I shouted. My voice was louder than I expected. I hoped that my physical body was well paralysed and not screaming in bed.
The streets, which had up until now been eerily lifeless, came to life. I heard barking behind me and turned around. Behind one of the houses' fences was a medium sized dog, running up and down the fence and barking at me. I looked around - there was a Jeep coming to me up the road. It stopped right next to me. There was the driver - a middle aged man, either bald or losing hair, I can't remember - next to him a large dog, what looked like a cross between a Collie and a German Shepherd, and then in the back sat my sister and another dog. I opened the back door and climbed in. I looked at the driver.
"Are you supposed to be my subconscious?"
The man shook his head and looked at the dog next to him on the passenger seat. My gaze followed his. I suddenly realised that I wasn't looking at a dog, rather a man. Morgan Freeman to be precise, except he looked older than he is and he had something distinctly dog-like about him.
"YOU'RE my subconscious?! Morgan Freeman?!" I said, laughing. Morgan smiled and nodded. "You look a bit...different" I said.
"You don't look so bad yourself," he replied. The driver laughed. "I like the hair. It suits you." I thanked him. Lately in real life my hair was getting quite long.
"Anyway," I said, wanting to get on with more meaningful interactions with my subconscious, "where are we going?" We were driving up the road and then turned left onto the main road between Warsaw and Lublin. We were going towards Warsaw.
"Well, your sister will explain." said Morgan.
I turned to my sister. She started going on about our friend's birthday party and how she didn't have any shoes to wear.
Then the dream ended and I woke up. Goddamnit subconscious.
