task of the month dreams
I was on some large street intersection in a coastal city, it seemed like California. I was with a group of people who were apparently my friends standing on one side of the intersection and there was another large group of people, around their low 20s, standing on the other side next to some sort of toll booth. There were about 5 people on my side 10 on the other side. We walked towards the other group a little bit until we were about 25 feet away from them and then stopped to listen to a new person who was standing next to the toll booth. "Good luck!" he yelled, "GO!" At this point we all dashed to the side and started running around. The other group of people starting throwing things ad us. One person and I locked eyes right before he threw something at me. It hit my side and then I ended up catching it in my elbow. "You're out!" I yelled. It must've been some sort of dodge ball game only instead of dodge balls we were using quarters. He looked at me with a smirk, laughed, and then threw another quarter at me though completely missed. For some reason, as he was laughing, I started to think this was a dream. I started to question things and looked around, paying a bit more attention. Then somebody threw a quarter at me and the guy sitting by the toll booth yelled, "You're out!" I walked over to the curb, a bit annoyed at what just happened, but as I was walking I did a quick reality check, plugging my nose. Ah, that feeling of being able to breathe with your mouth and nose closed, awesome . I sat down on the curb, looked around and stabilized a little bit, rubbing my hands ad then observing the area. There was a large city behind my with skyscrapers and other large buildings with a rather decrepit building directly behind me, some sort of old warehouse. Out to my front there was a beach and then the ocean with a boardwalk not too far up the coast. I thought of what to do, maybe flying, maybe get into a big fight with all these guys, but I decided to do the TotM since I had only done one last month. Both came to mind, the surgery and the dream journal, so I just looked around for ample opportunity to do one of them. Much to my delight there was a notebook lying on the sidewalk, one much like my waking life DJ. I grabbed it and opened up to a page in the middle only to find a pen! Thanks subconscious . Most of the pages in the book were blank except for a few in the beginning which seemed to have little doodles on them. Nothing really jumped out on me, it just looks like somebody got bored in math class. I thought of what to write and kept thinking of my MILD mantra (did a WBTB/MILD last night) but I wanted to do a real waking life thing. Then I remembered that we had had a marching band practice that night and did a run-through of our show for our parents, the "parent preview." Once I thought of marching band all the details came to me and I just quickly wrote down something along the lines of, "Went to marching band practice, did parent preview, woodwinds rushed and got off the beat in the first song, rest went smoothly." Thinking back about it now that's actually pretty accurate. There, one down, lets see if I can get two! The dream still felt well stabilized and fairly vivid so I just went for it. I looked around only to realize that while I had been writing in my notebook I had moved to the high school where our practice took place. I was sitting on the curb looking out at our parking lot where we did out run-through. Nobody was there, not even a car. I got up and figured the best place to preform a surgery was at a hospital so I walked towards the main set of doors and imagined a hospital on the other side. The fact that these were glass doors (i.e. transparent) made the whole thing a little interesting. I stopped the door while it was only half opened and saw the school through the glass but through the part that was open I saw what looked like the ER of a hospital. I closed the door a little and it was just school. I opened it a bit more and it was hospital. It was pretty cool seeing the whole dreamscape change right in front of me like that but I knew that I should finish the TotM before I lose lucidity/wake up. I walked in through the door and noticed a bunch of nurses running around. One of them stopped in front of me, looked at what I was wearing and said, "good enough," in a very rushed and hurried voice. She grabbed my arm and dragged me through the hospital to a sink, "come on, wash up!" she said, "Hurry!." I washed my hands and put on a pair of gloves that were right next to me. They were rather large, reaching up past my elbow but before I could really take anything in the nurse grabbed me again and dragged me into a little room and closed a curtain. I looked around a little bit and noticed that it was an emergency operating room with a table in the middle. Lucky for me there was a patient on it. Oh boy, I am not looking forward to this . I looked at the patient and he was already unconscious, whether it was from anesthesia or passing out I didn't know, but he was out cold. The nurse who had dragged me through the hospital told me he had been shot twice with a 22 caliber pistol in the thigh but luckily it missed the femoral artery. I looked at his legs and noticed two small holes in the right thigh (he was laying on his back). I looked around the room and saw a pair of tongs, perfect! I grabbed them and went over to the patient. When I got a closer look at his leg I could see the bullet just about an inch under the skin and spread the whole a little bit with my fingers giving me enough room to fit the tongs in. Thank god I had gloves. There wasn't a lot of blood, however, at least not the amount I had expected. There was some but it wasn't all rushing out. It was like if you prick your finger to test your blood sugar or something, one drop every few seconds. I reached in with the tongs which were more like what I had used in chemistry class than any surgical tongs I've ever seen. It was quite easy to grab the bullet, just like picking something out of jell-o, but the bullet wasn't deformed or anything. It was still perfectly intact, as if it had never been shot from a gun and just broken off of the cartridge. I dropped it in a little tin the nurse had been holding next to me and grabbed the other one which was a few inches below the first one. This came out just as nicely and in perfect shape as well. Having no clue how to stitch a wound I asked the nurse if she could. She nodded and grabbed a needle and this weird thread. She sewed up the wound in just a couple seconds and did so just like one would to a blanket. Being finished with both TotM's I wondered what to do next. I didn't have any specific goals or anything and was out of ideas. I decided I would just walk around the hospital a little bit. I walked through the ER which still had a bunch of nurses running around as fast as they could in it, and headed towards the waiting room to see what the DCs in there were doing. The waiting room was just outside the ER and there were only a couple people in there, an elderly woman to looked a bit crazy, and kid about 12 years old with a pickaxe stuck in his shoulder. Yes, he had a full sized pickaxe stuck several inches into his shoulder. The woman pulled out a mouse from her pocket and started feeding it a little square of cheese that she now had. Wtf, my DCs are freaking weird! I walked over to the person sitting behind the desk and asked what I should do next. "Well doctor," she said a little smugly. I guess I was the normal ER doctor there, "I think you should wake up." At first I was a bit confused, but then I started getting angry because my DCs and dream objects always did this to me. "Oh what the hell!?" I yelled at here, though the dream was fading. I tried spinning and spinning but I could hear her say, "Sorry, spinning doesn't work in times like this." Damn it, she was right. I woke up. I did a quick RC to be sure this wasn't just a FA but I was indeed awake. Jeez, my DCs are not only weirdos but also jerks!

Surgery I arrived in some kind of building with avatars from dream views. I had acquired Mel's avatar some how ,except I could see it as a whole person. I also noticed a picture of a purple men with a sword, painted on the outside wall. I did an RC check and levitated. I went into the next room, telling myself a men would have passed out. There I saw a passed out men. For some reason I believed I get extra points for removing all of his organs, especially his intestines. Though it was called something else in my dream, a insestined. So I told myself by removing his organs into the air i was curing him. I grabbed a scalpel near by. It was then I felt queasy. I told myself I needed to do this task. I grimaced and used the scalpel to draw a mortitionary line on him like in a movie I saw. I cut from belly button to half way up and cut either side to form a v shape. It was a bright red line that resembled blood but didn't bleed anywhere, as though he was dead. The Samurai It was then the man with a sword in the picture came to life and fired gun shots at me. I dodged side to side as I yanked the men's heart, lungs, kidney and intestines out determined to get as many points as possible. I remember thinking that I might have to hide this in a spoiler tag with warnings, gruesome violence. After I yanked everything out I went to leave. I stopped realising that butchering a men doesn't count as surgery. I then used the scalpel to jam the door to keep the purple men out. The door reminded me of a butchers fridge room door all black plastic. I put all the men's organs back inside him and closed the flaps of skin. I imagined staples stapling him back together. I slapped him and waited to see if he would wake up. I heard a voice "will the men wake up we will see next week." I groaned just as I saw the men lift his head and open his eyes.

Alright I have a TON of notes for this one, because several important things happened to me in the course of about 10 minutes. For time's sake, and the sake of recollection, I'll go straight into describing the dream. I was dreaming about being in our backyard, and looking at what damage the drought as caused some of the plants. I noticed that one of my bushes had spontaneously grown tomatoes in the center, though it was not a tomato vine. I poked at one. Then I noticed one of the citrus trees looked dry as usual, and the ground surrounding it also dry. But it was mysteriously missing it's little decorative brick border. Also, it was too close to the fence all of the sudden. I looked at the place it should have been, and there was an entirely different plant (like a basket topiary), in its place with the brick border. I thought, "This isn't right, OH I'm dreaming!!" This next moment is extremely important.: Right after becoming lucid, and for the few seconds before remembering that I want to complete a TOTM, I became very aware of the fact that I had only fallen asleep a minute before. And while the transition was by no means perfectly seamless, as there were a few moments where I couldn't account for the time exactly, and I had blacked out a little. I'll explain in a bit why I know how much time had elapsed, and why this is important. Anyway, moving on. I remembered the advanced task of the month almost immediately, as the thought of completing the basic task flashed through my mind. However, I knew I didn't have much time (you'll see why in a minute), and the fact that I was in the garden was going to make it hard to find a pen and paper. So in a panic, I willed something, anything to write with, to appear. A Bic, black ink pen appeared on the ground. YESSSSS I thought. I grabbed it, and not even bothering to look for paper, I tried to write something on my arm. I was able to scratch my arm a little, which hurt, but the ink wouldn't come out or show up on my arm. I wishfully looked at a table on the back porch, and I saw a pice of ripped manilla paper that Chris usually likes to doodle on. Double YESS! I ran and grabbed it, and quickly scribbled on it, and it worked. So I tried to think of something to write from my waking life, and the first thing that popped into my head was "Last night, I cooked chicken for dinner." I even recollected quite clearly the actual dish, as it was something I had never made before. I wanted the sentence to be simple though, and started to write, "Last night, I.." Then I got distracted by some scribbling that was on the top of the paper already. I don't remember what it said, but when I looked back to the sentence I was writing, it was all gibberish. I scratched it out and tried it again, just under my first attempt. Exact thing happened again haha! So this time, I made myself focus on the task. I mean, we're talking pain in the brain, making myself focus on writing this tiny little sentence without getting distracted. I finally got it all written out, and I remember being ecstatic that I completed both tasks within the first week of the month. Then Danny's snot rocket ritual (in real life) woke me up momentarily. I fell back to sleep, and again lost a little consciousness, and reappeared in the garden. I became instantly lucid again, because all the plants were jacked up in the same way. And this time Jason (RareCola) was there. This is also important for 2 reasons which I'll get to later. I was so excited to see him and show him the "journal". In this second lucid, it actually had grown from a simple piece of ripped paper, to a big book that looked like something that would be on Harry Potter's bookshelf. I opened it to the first page, and there was my waking life entry! Although, it now said "Lst nghnit, I cked CHKN fr dnnr," though imagine that with some Ns and Rs backwards. I explained to Jason that this happens apparently if you look away, then back again, at my journal. Then I turned some pages and there were drawings that Chris had made of bears, and dogs, and other animals. Same magic. If I looked at a bear, then turned the book around, then looked at the bear again, it changed. It looked all poofy, like it got its tail stuck in an electrical outlet. Same thing for each animal drawing, and I showed each one to Jason, who found it remarkable. At this point in time I think my lucidity became a bit hazy, but then I got it back, or I woke up briefly then fell back to sleep and got lucid again. Which one I can't recall, but I DO recall being lucid again, and going inside the house, being so proud of my TOTM accomplishments. I decided it was time to celebrate, since I couldn't really think of anything else to do. So I summoned a DC and we got it on. I actually awoke from that final lucid, because my DC and I heard a soft buzzing noise. I told him, "Oh that's just Danny in real life, brushing his teeth with the electric toothbrush." Then I woke to the sound of the electric toothbrush. Now, how did I know exactly how much time had passed in these lucid dreams, and furthermore, how did I know that I had little time before the dream would end? First, we set our alarm this morning for 6:30am. And Danny ALWAYS gets up first (because his bathroom ritual takes about 10 minutes, whereas mine takes 5 or less). At any rate, it's always the same ritual: 1. Peepee for 2 minutes (I swear he has a horse bladder), 2. Snotrockets in the sink (3 minutes), 3. Wash face and comb hair (3 minutes), and 4. Electric toothbrush (2 minutes). Then the bathroom door opens and it's time for me to get up. So, when I first became lucid, I knew it had to be between 6:30 and 6:40, because after the alarm went off and Danny went into the bathroom, I tried to sleep in for those 10 minutes, and I felt some mild vibrations. When Danny's snotrockets woke me up after the first dream, and I went right into the next lucid dream, I know I had maybe 5 minutes left (hair, face, and toothbrush). Next, why was RareCola's presence so important? First of all, the advanced task was his idea. And it's particularly noteworthy that he just realized in real life, that I don't actually keep a written dream journal (only online). Also, the night before this lucid sequence, Jason and I were talking about the subtle differences between a DEILD chain, and simply having multiple DILDs. I realized that I was really having the latter, because I couldn't honestly recall a single instance where I truly went from conscious wakeful awareness, to a lucid dream, without skipping a beat. There has always been a few moments of time, and fuzziness, and unconsciousness that I couldn't account for. So when I became lucid in that very first DILD, I couldn't help but think of our conversation, and I made that attempt to bring, into this DILD, the analysis of how I became lucid, and of how long it took (which I knew because of Danny's ritual), and of how I could really concretely admit that there was a moment of loss of awareness between those vibrations, and being in the garden and not lucid, then lucid moments later (holy run on sentence batman!). Finally, I find it truly remarkable, that a DC and I both heard Danny's electric toothbrush, and I had the true, acceptance of what this was. I was in a dream, and my body was in bed, and my sleeping ears were gradually picking up more and more of the sound of his toothbrush in the bathroom. I felt like I existed simultaneously on two planes, if only for a few seconds. I managed to stuff a shit ton of activities in just 10 minutes!
PMG MU GOD<---------( first thing i typed hahahahahah! i was so excited i couldnt even spell) !!! I JUST MET MY DREAM GUIDE! okay so this lucid dream was induced by having a WILD and it was amazing!!! so as usual when i go form awake to lucid dreaming, im awake but i feel this sensation of my body being pulled out of bed its so bizzare, i feel my skin brushing up against the blankets, and an immense buzzing through me, and as soon as its over, i wake up in my dream. i was 100% lucid, so much so that i was worried about talking or moving in my way, shape or form, thus waking up my boyfriend sleeping right next to me. i tried to fly out from my windows but sometimes the laws of physics are ...still binding in my dreams so i kinda smacked into the glass and decided id rather run because i felt too amazing. I stepped out of the appartment trying not to wake my dream boyfriend, i was fully clothed now wearing a jean jacket and a pink shirt, my cats tried to follow me out but i shooed them back in and closed the door because hey, theyre still my cats as soon as I got out, this janator was coming in and i grabbed him by the shoulders like i was a crackhead who needed a fix...seriosuly i i shook him a little lol and asked him if he was my dream guide he said something obscure and random and i said "oookay, im thinking youre not"so i asked him agian and he said no still in the hallway something came upstairs from the basement.... it was that baby head spider robot thing from toy story.....i grabbed its craneum and hesisted to even ask..."oh god, are you my dreamguide?" it shook its head "no" whith a sigh or relief i bolted out of the building, I was trying to fly aroundbut it wasnt working well. i bumped into cars and as high as i would get, my feet would still brush the grass underneath me and frankly i was just too hyper to concentrate. I walked over where i park my car which is underneath this giant concrete thing with a tennis court on it. but it was different, there were no cars and there was a giant hole in the concrete as if someone had bulldozed it open. the concrete pieces were scattered around and mixed in with rocks, it kinda made this hill leading down to a little river. i stood in the quiet space for a moment and then remembered the task at hand. "DREAM GUIDE i want to meet you!" I shouted into the sky, I stood there and listened/waited. then some pebbles began sliding down the hill on my right hand side, there had to have been movement causing those pebbles to fall i felt it in my gut...this is it. i walked over to where the rocks had fallen from "oh god, this is the moment ive been anticipating forever" i thought to myself i peeked up the hill around the concrete and there he was, sitting in the rubble............ FEZ from that 70's show HAHAHAH i knew deep down in me that he was my dream guide, i coud feel it. after i stopped laughing hysterically in happyness and about how my dream guide is freakin fez he was so good natured and just sat there smiling calmly while i laughed and tried to get over my hyperness, i stooped over the rubble and said "okay so you know what i have to ask right?" he nodded and continued smiling "are you my dream guide?" his smile turned into a grin "yes" i even asked him three more times to make sure and he answered yes each time but I could tell he was making a "you know i am" face. it was incredible i couldnt beleive it, i then made a joke saying "dont worry i wont ask about how to get with ladies" and he just kind of looked at me in confusion LOL woops... i dont think my dream guide watches that 70s show.... anyways i felt like a bit of an idiot, i always make akward jokes, and if hes my dream guide he knows that already anyways so who cares lol I then asked "if i didnt ask for you, would you have show yourself to me on your own?" its weird how he doesnt even really need to talk much or say too many words for me to understand what hes saying. he sort of gave me this look which someone would percieve as confusion but i knew for some reason he was saying "i came when you asked for me and needed me, i would only show myself when you felt ready to see me." then i woke up from too much excitement -_- after i woke from immediate lucid state into reality I pretty much LEAPED out of my bed and whipped into the living room to write this down. i met my dream guide. and he is fez. oh my god. at first my thoughts are "can i change his appearance? would that be wrong? can i take him seriously as fez giving me life advice?" but in a weird way its like....i dont care, something opened up in me about my dream guide that is beyond appearances, he may have looked like a hilareous slightly racist tellevision character but he didnt act like it. the only thing i would change is maybe for him to have some pants and a shirt on next time lol he probably didnt wanna wear bellbottoms and a ruffle blouse.....understandable. I cannot beleive this just happened still.it was my most important goal and i got it on my first real successful WILD after like a year of no lucid dreaming, i think he knew how much it meant to me and that ive been struggling to find motivation to keep up with it and this would make a world of differece and fuel me. my hands are actually vibrating with how much adrenaline is running through me im so frakin happy right now and i cant seem to stop typing!!!BWAAA!!! i went to bed at 7:23 and woke up at 8:40 and im still kinda tired so i think im going to go back to bed, maybe fez is waiting for me at a disco roller rink, who knows. HAHAHAHA XD my dream guide rocks. knows that i think about it. fez makes perfect sense! bahahaha GIFSoup
Every morning I've woken up and I have written down so...many....pages.... But no matter what I do, when I have lucidity, I lose it just as fast as I gained it, or I'm aware but I can't do anything significant. This doesn't discourage me from repeatedly trying again and again and again until I get it. But it's a little frustrating to know that I have only so much knowledge of what it feels like to be lucid. My basic idea (and when I mean basic, I mean that I really can't confirm it but it would seem about right) is that I suddenly feel like I just woke up, and I went back into the dream or I'm thinking about the dream as if I was awake. There has to be a way to get myself to mount firmly before I lose that control. Because I lose it as soon as I see it. How do I know that the feeling is lucidity? Well I checked back to my first experience (which was the most vivid of them all) and I realized that after seeing that I was in fact dreaming, and then getting my arse knocked around in that tail spin because I got too exited, that same feeling followed, and it was there with me while I was in my spinny, blurry, limbo. then I realized that I've had this same feeling many many many times before especially when I'm in a tail spin. So my question is, how the heck do I mount myself in the dream before I lose the control? I don't think the "I'm an anchor" thing works. Anyone have any suggestions?
DreamLucidAwake Basic TOTM I vaguely remember being in a battle with a large black dragon. Larger than I am anyway. I think I've been fighting with the same dragon in recent dreams. I don't really remember the fight, I just know it happened. I also know that the dragon really tore up my right hand. He most likely bit it and tried to rip it off. So I was in a sort of forest biome. I was running, though I'm not sure if I was chasing something or running from something. Most likely the latter. I was holding my right hand which was of course bleeding and in a lot of pain. I stopped and kneeled down in front of a rock. I rested my hand on it and examined it. There were a few cuts and a large gash on the back of it. It also looked kind of deformed like the bones had been broken or displaced. I decided that I would attempt to perform surgery on my own hand right there. It wasn't exactly the right place or time or equipment to do something like surgery, but I felt like doing it anyways. I figured the cuts weren't as urgent as the gash that all of my blood was pouring out of. Since there was already a hole in my hand though I thought I might as well try to fix up the bones. Before I began I thought, "Am I really capable of performing surgery? Well I did have a few dreams where I was a doctor or went to medical school. I suppose 'dream doctor' is a good enough qualification." So the first thing I did was transform my left hand into a dragon hand. I used my claw to cut open the wound a little more. There were several broken bone fragments lying in the wrong places. I poked at them and tried moving them back to where I thought they belonged. When I moved a fragment back into place it kind of snapped back together with the other bones. It was a little more painful when I did that. After a few minutes I managed to get all of my bone fragments back into their place. I pretty much cheated for the next part of the surgery. I simply used my healing magic to close the wound in the back of my hand. My hand wasn't hurting much anymore and was fully functional. I can't remember much after that. I think left the other cuts alone and started running again. End
I managed to go to bed at 11:45pm, but I don't think I fell asleep until a little after midnight. Then I woke up around 3am, and had trouble getting to sleep (weird heart palpitations, not a racing heart, but it felt like it was doing somersaults in my chest.. not painful, but disturbing and annoying). What followed next was a series of nonlucids and more importantly, false awakenings. I needed to wake up irl for work by 5am, so I kept dreaming that the alarm had woken us up, or that we slept in, that I suddenly owned a clock radio that kept coming on and Dean Martin was singing Christmas Carols. Finally I had a FA where I had gotten up before Danny (ALWAYS the other way around, and I questioned this), let out the dogs and started getting my food ready for my long work shift. I reached up for something behind the stove, and accidentally knocked a blue pot off it's hook. It fell partway behind the stove, so I'm struggling to get it and hang it back up... when I think to myself "I don't own this blue pot, where the hell did this thing come from?" I kinda stood there for a few seconds, holding the pot, a little confused, then boom! "Abandon this project, I'm dreaming! " I stood in the kitchen, kinda bouncing with excitement, trying to remember the basic TOTM. It hit me right away, "Perform Surgery!!" One issue with this task is if you want to go full on and transport to a hospital, it may take a bit of time and control, and I wasn't sure what time it was irl. The alarm could go off at any moment, so I wanted to waste no time whatsoever. So I went to the living room couch and tried to summon a patient. Nothing. I went to my son's room, hoping to find a patient sleeping in there. I found Chris asleep in there, but no way was I going to perform surgery on him. At no time did I loose lucidity, I even remembered that he was at my mom's irl, but no way am I gonna cut up my son in a dream. And you can cross Danny off that list as well. I went back to the kitchen, trying to figure out what I was going to do, when I glanced at the window and saw the reflection of a man behind me!! I whipped around and it was a tall, slender Hispanic man with a very pallid expression on his face. I asked him right away "Are you here for some surgery?" He said "Yeah." I said, "Well you're in luck, because I'm a wiz with knives," and I proceeded to the kitchen and grabbed my chef knife, fillet knife, and paring knife. I told him to lie on the couch and explain to me what was wrong. He said that a previous doctor had fixed a "kink" in his intestines with a bandaid, and put a little microchip in there as well. I guess to monitor the kink or something. He said the microchip was causing him extraordinary pain and wanted it removed. He laid down on the couch for a moment, then got up and said he was going to his car real quick because he brought his own anesthetic. I told him that's fine, I have some too just in case (I knew I didn't have any, so I was going to just put water in a little flask and will it to work as anesthesia). He came back and said he didn't bring it, so I went to the kitchen and got the water. I held it up and said "I will this water to act as an anesthetic." It didn't look any different, but I didn't care. I wasn't the one who was going to drink it! I gave it to the man and he took a swallow, but choked on it a little bit. Then he took his shirt off and laid back down. It looked like he was drifting off a bit, but he was kinda restless. So I starting rubbing his chest gently, speaking softly, "Sleep, sleeeeeeeeep..." Of course this action produced an erection and I took advantage of it a little bit. I'll skip those details. (I was hoping it would help him pass out!!) It didn't work, he was still conscious. He even asked me if after the surgery, maybe we go out to dinner sometime lol. I said suuuure, why not. He wasn't going completely out, and I was running out of time. So I said I need to start cutting anyway, but he'd be just fine. I held him down with one hand, took the little pairing knife with the other, cringed, and made an incision in his belly. He groaned in pain and tried to sit up, but I pushed him back down. There was no blood. But I could immediately see the loop of intestine with the bandaid. Turned out it was kinda good that he was still conscious, because he was able to talk me through it a bit, and didn't seem to be in pain anymore. (I guess my subC is too squeamish.) I pulled out the little loop of intestine, and noticed the little microchip, which looked more like a tiny stone, sandwiched between 2 of the baindaids. He said just to remove the chip and leave the bandaid, so I did. I was just about to push the intestine back in and sew him back up, when Danny coughed irl and woke me up. Still success! I can't believe I could cut the guy, especially while he was conscious! Surgery went well overall I'd say though.
Here is a long one from 12-22-07: I was in my church. I remember thinking, if I'm lucid I'll be able to fly. And at that I took off in a float/fly over the heads of the people around me. I flew around for a little while noticing that I was flying swimming style again. I then saw Kyle. And the first thing that came to mind was the DC interrogation task that I am kind of doing in private so I'm not going to give details about what I asked. But I suppose I can give the answers because my DC was being uncooporative in answering those specific questions. After I asked the questions and Kyle looking at me like I was asking something that was forbidden to ask. He then finally said, "If you are looking for some secret answers, I'll tell you this: It will happen....in Asia....on midnight of December 31." I repeated that in my mind because I felt it might be significant. I don't remember the transition, but I next remember being outside by a house. I remember wanting to jump off the top of the roof. I ran up (I seem to remember a ramp), then when I got the the peak, I decided to let myself fall off backwards. There seems to be a thrill in that. Since I fly so much, it's nice to find something that is a little different and thrilling. As often happens when I fall backward, I feel a falling sensation, yet I don't hit the ground when I think I should, and after a while I just stand up and realize that the ground is right there. I remember doing that several times. Then I remember thinking, "I really should be trying to accomplish a task. I remember that I haven't done the Make it Winter" Task of the Month of December. I walk into a courtyard. There is green grass and some hibiscus shrubs. Before I even have to put out any effort, it begins to snow. I think, "Wow, that was easy." The I remember that I need to do more than make it snow. i realize that even though it is snowing, it is not cold. The next thing I know I feel an icy cold wind sweep around me and through the leaves of the hibiscus. I think, "Maybe I should make the leaves fall off the hibiscus." But for some reason, i just think, "Naw, they'll fall off on their own in this weather." I then go in the house. I see that I am in a kitchen. I remember someone suggested that we make a recipe and try it out as a possible future task of the month. I look around for thing to put together in a recipe. The only food I see in the kitchen is a large bowl filled with cake cut up in squares, grapes, and M&Ms. I think, "That will be my recipe--I'll put a piece of each one in my mouth and see what it tastes like. So I grab a handful and stuff it into my mouth. I realize that the cake doens't have much flavor. I'm disappointed. The grapes takes like sour-ish grapes, but not strong. Then I bit into an M&M, and a burst of chocolate flavor fills my mouth. I grabbed another handful of M&Ms and took them with me as I run back up to the roof, so I can fall backwards off it again before my LD comes to an end. As I am climbing to the top of the roof, I am thinking about how real the M&Ms taste, and how weird that is becasue I know that I'm dreaming and that there are no M&Ms, yet the sensation is so completely real, and how my brain must be using an old memory of myself eating M&Ms to make this so real for me again. I actually wonder at this moment what is exactly going on in my brain at this moment. Then I reach the roof top and fall off backward again. Instead of floating down for a fairly long period of time. I fall quite quickly and feel a slight thud and my back hits the ground. I think, "At least that didn't hurt". I decide I should really try something else if my LD was going to go on this long. So I decided that I wnted to find a DC to ask about my future. I have never had any luck in the past and I decided that I should try again. I walk back in the house and see Daniel standing by the stairs. I decide to ask him something quite specific, so I ask him where I will be in ten years. He looks at me and said, "You'll be living in a tent in the mountains." I am intrigued by his answer and start to question him about it. But before I can get too far, I finally wake up.
Old LD from 12-17-07 LUCID DREAM: I was in a place. In my dream I was thinking of it as a bar. I was hanging out there like I was waiting for someone. I remember at some point it struck me as weird that I was in a bar because I have never actually been to a bar since I don't drink. The place was mostly empty. I remember at one point I was feeling very tired and almost dizzy so i went to a back booth and put my head down and dozed for a while. I then woke up and walked around the bar some more. I saw my friend KB. It looked like she owned the place-- which is strange because she doens't drink either. She told me about the new booth that they put up in the back corner by the fireplace. I walked over to it and sat down. It was more like a bench. But the corner was nicely secluded and made me feel comfortable. I remember looking up and seeing either a picture or a window. It was a snowy scene. As I watched it I suddenly was outside in that scene. I looked around and saw that I was on a snowy roof top maybe two stories high. I was looking down at a street. The street curved around and went uphill. I walked a little on the roof (which was flat) and found that it was icy and slippery. I had only socks on my feet and I began to slide around. I pretended (just like a kid on a slick floor) that I was skating. I went around and around. Then I saw Jeff. I "skated" up to wehre he was. Then I remember seeing a van or camper. I could see people inside. One of them looked like my grandpa. I really wanted to see him. (My gandpa has been dead for many years....and none of the unususal things that happened so far had mad me lucid). I went into the camper and saw a group of people. The older man I could see was not my grandpa. The place was all decorated for Christmas, with a tree and someone dressed as Santa. When I went in I had walked up to a blond girl. At this point I became lucid. I thought, "Okay here I am with a DC. Are there any tasks that I can do that involve asking a DC a question? Yes!" Me: "What is the next Lucid Task of the Month?" Girl: "Well, your task is to play Hayes IV. You need to find the paper and then you'll get your reward." Me: "Hayes IV...? I've never heard of it. I don't think there is such a game." Girl, ignoring my response: "You need to play Hayes IV and find the paper." Me, laughing a little: "I don't think it's a real game." Girl : "The only reason I'm telling you this is because I knew you'd ask." I was kind of surprised by that response. "Really...what's your name?" Girl: "Kristen." At that point I decided to wake up so I could wirte down this conversation. I was surprised to see that the night was still very early-- 12:52. I had gone to bed after 11:00, so it was an unusually early time of night for me to LD
Old dream from 12-2-07 (One of two) Lucid dream 1: I felt like I was WILDing. But in retrospect I had been asleep and got here from onother dream. This has happened to me before. I started seeing a dream scene in from of me. I was aware that I was lying in bed. I felt my physical body there, and knew that the scene was the beginings of a dream. What I was seeing was very fragile. Yet it continued on. I saw a blue sky and buildings. I wanted to get into the dream. I made the scene move as if I was flying. At first I wasn't sure if I was able to enter the dream completely, so I let it go on for a short while. Finally I reached out my hands, and could see that I was actually "physically" there in the dream--that I was now flying. I saw that I was wearing my dark blue jacket with the red lining. I continued to fly over the buildings. I saw a green hill in the distance. I could see a yellow exclamation point (!) and also an exclamation mark (?). I briefly thought about the fact that they were there because I had played World of Warcraft before bed. In retroscept I wish that I had flown to that spot to see what was there. I think I saw a little cabin under the marks. But I continued to fly over the buidlings. I looked down at all the businesses and read their signs. I wondered if I would remember them. idecided to at least get one of them in my mind that I would be determinded not to forget. It was a garage with a tow truck out front. The large oval sign said "Mee". The M was big with curled edges. As I flew I remembered that I wanted to notice how real the flying felt. Because sometime I wake up and think, "Well, I know I was flying but it didn't feel as real or thrilling as I wish it had". So I paid close attention to how it felt. At first I didn't feel any wind in my face. I sped up a bit until I felt a noticable breeze. Then I zipped up and over a tree. I felt my stomach do that thing like it does on roller coasters when you suddenly go down hill real fast. I wanted to make sure that I always remembered to create the details like this. I then remembered a task that I wanted to do. It is confidential at this point so I can't finish it. But I will say that I saw some people on the ground. They were elderly and were sitting in charis on a porch of what must have been a home for the elderly. They were talking, but I needed to talk to them, so I kindly interrupted. And I will have to finish this in January.
Old LD from 11-??-07 Lucid Dream: I was at my sister's house. We had been talking. She is the sister that has cancer. In the dream she had all her hair unlike in real life. Her twin daughters were there in their pajamas and hugging me. Then I remember I was looking in a mirror. I noticed that something weird was going on. I called out to my sister, "Come check this out. Notice how when you look at my shirt, it's black. But when you look at it in the mirror, it's white." It came as no shock that I was dreaming. It was if I had known all along, but that this was the first time I had really aknowleged it. I remembered I wanted to do the Dream Name Task. I asked my sister, "What is your dream name?" She looked at me and said, "Janene." And then she came closer and as if revealing a huge secret, she added, "And I'm also from San Francisco." I took that in. And then I leaned to her and said, "And my dream name is..." And then I didn't know what to say. I thought for a moment and the names Brenda and Catherine came to mind. But they didn't seem that special. Then I remembered that I was supposed to ask someone else what my dream name was. So I asked my sister what my dream name was. She looked again at me like she was revealing something extrememly confindential, and said, "Your dream name is my old nick name....it's Suzy-Q." And at that moment of discovery, I woke up. I shared this with my sister, and we had a good laugh--especially at the "I'm from San Francisco" part. And she also thought it was cool that my "dream name" was her old nick name.
Soooo many dreams to catch up on. I have thousands written up in my other DJ. But I will slowly keep moving them over and tagging them all etc. Old Ld from 11-17-07 Lucid Dream: It starts out fuzzy. I can backtrack it only to a part where Jeff is taking to me about allergy medication. Then for some reason I go out to Walmart at 6:00am to buy milk. I am driving into the parking lot, and I almost get hit by a truck. I watched the truck stop, and a Mexican guy got out. He joined a few others who were going to haul off an old van in the parking lot. The van had all its windows cracked, and the broken glass windows were hanging out of the sides. I parked and headed toward the store. As I was walking I was almost hit again by the same guy. This time he was on a forklift. I finally made it to the store. I then ran into D. I said "hi", and was about to go on to buy milk. He then said, "I haven't seen you for a while...don't I get a hug?" I then said, "That's right...it has been a while." So I gave him a hug. Then I remember suddenly being lucid. I really don't know what triggered it--if it was the hug or something else I have now forgotten. As soon as I was lucid I saw that I was standing next to a telephone. I decided to try and see if I could remember my phone number and address while in the dream. I said them both--but in retrospect, I don't think I got my address right. I don't remember what I said, but I don't remember saying the correct thing. Then I flew into the store. I decided that so often when I lucid dream I completely change what's going on in the dream. I decided that this time I would try to go with the flow and see if I liked it better. So I flew in the store to try and find milk. As I floated above the aisles, all I could see was the Pet section with dog food etc. I turned direction, and found that I saw the same set of items. I kept turning and every way I looked, looked exactly like what I had seen in the last direction. So seeing that I was kind of stuck with the Pet section, I decided to do the first thing that came to mind--try and to the Pet Task from months ago where I needed to talk to a pet and ask what it thinks about me. I had never completed that to my satisfaction in the past. So I landed in front of a row that had tanks on it filled with small animals. The first tank I looked in had a small frog and another animal that I am having a hard time remembering. I don't think it was actually a real animal. I know it was quite small (3-4 inches) and it was a mammal--but it wasn't a mouse. I asked this small creature to talk to me. I asked it to tell me what it thought about me. It said, "You are light. And you smell like peanut butter and garlic." As wierd as that was, it satisfied me a bit. But I went on to ask the frog to talk to me. I asked it if it liked me. It knodded its head and said, "Uh huh." in a very small voice. Again, I was somewhat satisfied at the response. But then I remembered I had really wanted to ask a DC about my future. I figured that a dream animal could answer that as well as a person. In the next tank below there was a tiny raccoon (about 4 inched long). I told it, "You need to tell me my future. Can you tell me something that I will need to know about my future?" It looked at me like I had asked it the one thing that it did not want to tell me. It looked like it was trying to think of something to say without answering the question. While it was thinking, I saw Mike B come up to the next cage. He, like me, decided to ask an animal about the future. He asked something like, "Tell me about the comet. Is it something significant? Will it change our lives?" I thought it was interesting that he asked about the comet since I had just been observing it. I wanted to hear what his animal was going to say about it, but then I looked at mine again. The little raccoon suddenly grabbed a bag and then flew off and was gone. At that point I woke up. But it was just a FA. I remember laying on my parent's bed in our old house and trying to write the dream down. For some reason I had an envelope with me like I was going to mail my dream off to someone. My father came over and talked to me. [I didn't noticed this at the time but this was not really my father but Claire's father from Heroes. My sister had me watch some episodes with her recently.] He acted like it was a very bad idea to send this dream away to someone. I also remember him telling me that we needed to get rid of our dog which was a great big English Sheep dog. I noticed that he had red eyes. I wondered what was wrong with him.
I've been keeping my guard up since I've started, it's no surprise to me really, I just find it kind of funny that I happen to have toys and action figures as one of my dream signs. It's either toys or cartoon characters that still hold a spot as my dream signs. As for Master Mind's technique, I'm getting better recall, and I'm still seeing the transition from one dream to the next. In fact, I had a bad night the previous night because of heat. But I see another trend starting to form. I always knew it was there but I could never put the two dreams together, the transition would sever them and keep me from ever putting the two dreams together in relation to plot, only bits and pieces would come up, if I was even lucky to have that. So now I got one month to go, and as a reminder to my future self, should I get discouraged if I'm not happy with where I'm at: Set another 2 months and try again! It's summer! You hate Summer! If you get discouraged then just know you'll do better toward the Fall and Winter seasons.
I tried one more technique that got alot of great results. and low and behold, it worked! and I believe I became lucid almost casually. There were 3 dreams that I remember, 4 in total. And I woke up after each one but went back in. The most awesome part about this is that I remember the transition from one of the dreams to the next perfectly. So I know where the plot was now unlike last time. The Dream: The first dream included a house that I went to before in the past, and it looked exactly the same as before as well. the events inside were strange, but that's all I could make out. The 2nd dream included me running around a small city I've never seen before. And apparently there were people chasing me around the city. It got to a point where the car I was in (from an old playstation video game called Driver) wasn't cooperating at all as the cops were coming down that road that I was on. So I abandoned it and found a building with a ladder up against the side. I climbed up the ladder and on to the roof, and I looked around and noticed that there were alot of people hanging out here. I suddenly said to myself. "You know, this would be a great place to be when I'm lucid." Just then something happened with the dream and I felt like I was awake again, but I was still in the dream. While I was standing there I just had a thought to immediately try something extravagant again. Then that threw me into a spinning 3rd person view and I gave up. I think I was still awake, but eventually the rest of the dream continued on to the 3rd one. But before hand, while I was still on the roof, there were these weird looking female characters, some of which were similar to each other. They looked like RPG characters or something. I remember one (which was supposed to be my character apparently) was talking, and she sounded kind of ticked, then I thought up a previous version of her. The voice changed, and she sounded better. The dream transitions with the plot when I get caught by the cops, and they take me to the people that was running from. I wound up going though their trials in various rooms against other people. I don't know what the rules were, all I know is that the first guy let me have this win after alot of effort to try and beat him in whatever we were doing. Then after that I continued on out, and the next room had Woopie Goldberg in it. I wondered what was going on, and she told me that this was the resting period. She was sitting at a table in a part of the room that transitioned into a kitchen. The kitchen was lit by its own florescent ceiling light that gave the kitchen that typical lime-ish, yellow-green look. She was sitting there wearing something weird and looked like she was picking at something on a plate. She offered something to eat and I wondered (yeah I wonder what) sarcastically because as it was I was already in a Gladiator trial of some sort, and these people were as crazy as the ones from "Hunger Games". How I knew that I don't know. Afterwards I looked around and saw a familiar section of the room, it was the red section of this room, and it had a TV and various things around it that looked interesting. Then I woke up. My question is, why is it that I suddenly feel as if I woke up and went back into the dream? Is that the lucidity kicking in? Because if it is, then why didn't it feel like the very first one I had? The first one I had felt a little different, more like I was just as aware as I would be in waking life, then I went into the usual tailspin because I got exited. But twice now I felt like I woke up, then went back to sleep, and I continued the dream knowing that I was dreaming. But I know I didn't do this, I know I stayed asleep. I'll post up the 1st lucid experience so I can show the difference. But other than that I found a method, and now I'm going to hit this full force until I have lucidity. BOO YEAH!!

Working 12:57am I am at working doing some strange new cable assembly. I learned how to install something with lights. All the time I had some very alien looking overseers. #vague At The Park 00:00? *LUCID* #I dream I am at the same park doing the same thing that I was doing earlier in the evening. We went to a Hospice Memorial Service for my wife's grandpa in real life and this coupled with my ADSA I've been working on immediately trigger a lucid. I am sitting at the picnic table with all the people. I know that I am dreaming. I want to do TOTM so I make my water bottle be full of the magic potion. It is still clear like water but no I know it is the potion. I drink it. There is not sensation or taste. I immediately begin to float up (like Charlie at the Chocolate Factory). I am completely weightless and I am floating among all the balloons we released in real life. I am so high up that I lose my grounding and feel myself wake up. I fight it. I am now on the ground staring at the big oak tree in the park. It is covered in balloons.I use that to focus on and ground myself. As I focus and get more detail the balloons become giant white flowers. Very nice. I look around and see no people. The park looks pretty much normal. So I walk around forgetting TOTM. I just taking the scenery and remind myself that I am dreaming. I hold it in me like I do with self-awareness. I anchor my mind to it and not forgetting. Now I am bored. I can't think of anything to do. Then, I remember that I had decided to work in some spirituality into my dreams. I guess I haven't really thought this through because this first thing I thought of was to call Jesus and talk to him with out really anything to say.(I say it like this because, whatever Jesus I call into existence would only be a version of me in my own mind. So maybe I'm wrong to even consider spirituality?) Anyway, I yell, "Jesus!" I wait a few moments looking around expecting someone to show up. Then BAM! Total darkness. I wake up.
