Freaking out a landlady and creating a hurricane (MILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

      Hi folks!
No time no see!!! I have been extremely badly trampled with work. I lot changed in my life (in a good way) and now I finally have time for what I like!
I am going to start recording dreams again. In a switch of PCs, I've lost my old journal file (but not at DV) so I will start a brand new one today!

I will start out with the ToTM completed:

I was in downtown trying to use my covert camera for a customer service evaluation at a Property Management Office. The button camera was very flaky and did not start. I checked out the DVR and I could hear one of my mp3 files I use while I am giving a healing to a client. I started to worry the video would malfunction and record the music. I went to the property's restroom to check it out. My shirt was full with wires and buttons... I started to freak out so I walked away from the properly.

Suddenyl, I realized that it made no sense.
I was annoyed of about how fool I was becoming in this dream and checked my hands to rub to my subconscious I realized I was dreaming. 12 fingers.

I entered the property once more without worring about the camera, however, I was not 100% grounded in the dream. I though, "If I record in the dream, will my DVR record it in the Physical plane?" I started the tour with the Agent and when she showed me the pool, I realized that it made no sense that my recording could go from the dream to the physical plane. I told the Agent I was going to show her something. I recalled the advance task of the dream and walked towards the pool. The Agent told me I was going to ruin my hidden camera
(funny how subconscious work, I real life, the camera is covert, but in the dream plane, both my camera and the Agent came from my subconscious, lol) I laughed and kept walking. Suddenly, I felt my feet wet, but I knew I was not going to sink. I walked around the pool and the Agent turned dumb. She stopped being smart and started to just stare at me.

I walked towards the agent and realized that I still needed to the basic one. I started to create a PSI ball and focused on ICE. After a few seconds, I had a ice-ball in my hands. I flung it to the Agent. When it arrived to her face, it was snow instead of ice.
I focused on wind. I already used pyrokinesis and already moved land, so I wanted to try something I never did. I once more focused on a PSI ball and focused on wind. I could see a yellow ball within my hands that moved pretty fast, I focused on it starting to grow. Suddenly, the trees started to move abruptly. I tried to increase the intensity of the wind and knock down a wind. I was not successful, however, I broke several of its branches.

When I realized I completed both the basic and advanced task, I woke up.
    2. Controlling the elements

      by , 09-05-2011 at 04:49 AM
I did a WBTB. As I lay in bed about to go back to sleep I had every intention of having a lucid dream and completing the Task of the Month of controling the elements. That positive thinking paid off.

      Lucid Dream:

I was looking out over Lake Powell. It was dusk and the lake was mostly in shadows. I already knew I was dreaming. I wanted a better view of the lake so I made my vision rise (I say this because I was not aware of my body or myself flying). In the past I have often had difficulty viewing an area as I flew upward. But I felt very pleased the lake stayed very clear and in focus as my view of it changed. Soon I had a great view of the South end of the Lake. I could see Lone Rock, Wahweap, and Castle Rock.

I remembered that I was going to do the Task of the Month. The Task is to control 2 of the 4 elements. I wanted to control water and fire, but I also wanted to try to do air. I looked at the lake and knew it would be good for the controlling water part. But suddenly I really wanted to do air first. I had wanted to try to form a tornado. And then I looked again at the lake and wondered what it would be like to make a tornado and then set it down on the water and see if I could then form a water spout.

So I concentrated on a place above Wahweap Bay. I made a tornado. It was a little hard to see, but I knew it was there. I carefully lowered it down onto the surface of the water. At first I didn't see anything happen. Then I saw the surface of the water start to move in a circular pattern. Then I saw this large area of water lift and spin up into the air. And then suddenly there was a very large water spout swirling and spinning way up into the air.

I felt proud of myself and considered that a success. I then took myself down to the ground and decided to start a fire with my mind. I had done that several times before and knew that I would have no problem with it. I saw that I was standing next to a stone cabin. There was a clump of dead grass in front of me. I figured that that would be a good place for a fire. I looked at the grass and willed a fire to start. Then I remembered that it was so much easier if I pointed my finger at it while I concentrated. I lifted my finger and instantly the little grass clump ignited. I just stood there for a time and watched the fire burn until the grass was completely consumed by the fire.

I wanted to do more, but at this point my dream ended.
    3. Twoshadows' Lucid Dreams

      by , 08-27-2011 at 05:01 AM
Here is my lucid dream from last night:

I found myself in Marsha's backyard. I suddenly felt awkward because she wasn't there with me. So I left the backyard and saw Shannon. She was in Marsha's neighbor's house. I went in with Shannon. But then I realized that we shouldn't be in that home either. I wondered how I kept ending up in places where I felt like I didn't belong. I walked out of that house too.

As I looked at the big tree in front of me I suddenly knew that there was a good chance that I could fly over it. I suspected that I was dreaming, but I wasn't entirely sure until I took off flying over the tree.

I felt thrilled that I was finally lucid dreaming again. I remembered that I wanted to use my senses and really "feel" the dream. I flew back down to the tree. I ran my fingers along a branch and felt the leaves go through my fingers. i tried to compare that experience to real life. I could definitely feel the leaves, but something was a little different from real life, yet I couldn't say exactly what it was. I pulled off the very end of the branch and put the leaves up against my lips and felt the texture of the leaves. this felt more real. I thought about tasting the leaves, but i felt the dream fade.

I knew I had to get back in to the dream.

The next thing I know I am in what looks like a dorm room. Tanya is standing in front of me. I remember that I need to do the Task of the Month. "Tanya, I need you to sing something for me." She looks at me like I'm crazy, so I say again, "Tanya, this is important, I need you to sing something for me--anything."

So she starts to quietly sing a song. It isn't something that I recognize, and I couldn't understand the words. I asked her what the song was. She told me that it was a Japanese song. I asked her what it was about. She laughed and said, "It's actually about Mickey Mouse." She said "Mickey Mouse" with this very exaggerated Japanese accent. And that made me laugh too.
    4. The bouquet of flowers. (this was the TotM of April that I never shared until now)

      by , 08-18-2011 at 05:22 AM
I'm passing by a house with a beautiful garden with lots of flowers, and I'm seeing it from far distance. I see a yellow caution tape all over the garden; I think to myself "the owners of that house really want to keep people out of their garden". I believe I'm in a car so a keep driving down the street. Then I get into this big, kind of empty parking lot and I'm going in circles trying to find a good spot, I guess closer to this big super center similar to Waltmart. So I finally park the car and I walk couple of steps to enter the store. There are some big and wide stairs to my right so I continue going up, and when I get to the top there's a construction in progress, I take a quick look inside, seems like a big kitchen and there are some guys working on it, there's also a guy just going inside. I continue walking in the store but then I see other stairs heading down, but half way is under construction too and I could see some other guys working on it; so I'm starting to think if there's any other way to get in to the shopping area...So I remember seeing an elevator some where on that second floor, I walk a few steps and I see an elevator but there seems to be no access, there is a rail and next to it the elevator on a dead end wall. I say: "there's no way to get into that elevator", so I head back to the entrance; as I go down the stairs I say to my self " this is a dream", things don't change much but as I get to the bottom of the stairs there's no parking lot, the ground is unpaved and it's night time. Then as I look on the ground I start to see dollar bills, $10's, $20's but as I pic them up more and more start to appear, so I remember to look at my hands no to focus too much on the money; I see 6 fingers on each hand, I rub my hands and stabilize the dream. Then...BINGO!, so I say to my self: " I think with this money I could buy the BOUQUET OF FLOWERS!, so as I'm walking I see an old ranch house to the distance, then my vision gets like a magnified glass, and I see this bouquet of yellow and white flowers, wrapped on a transparent cellophane, and next to it there are some medicinal herbs; they're all hanging in front of the old ranch house, on the roof. Religion and Myth-bouquet-flowers.jpgas I get closer to the bouquet the dream start to vanish, but I remember to stay still and relaxed completely. I'm back in front of the house, but this time I see an old couple sitting in front of the porch, and as I look down I see a garden full of flowers with many colors. then I hear a voice saying: " you need to wait for the flowers, to be offered to you". I'm not focused on the bouquet any more ,but I want to get the flowers from the garden.. and I think "that would be stilling"..(I guess I'm not lucid anymore?since is a dream, would it be stealing?, Now I stare at the old couple and the dream continues... without lucidity...

    5. Sing me a Song (task of the month)

      by , 08-16-2011 at 02:57 PM
      Non-dream
      Dream
      Semi-Lucid
      Lucid

I don't know if this is the beginning of the dream, but it's the earliest part of the dream that I can remember. Right away, I know that I am dreaming and that my goal was to complete the basic task of the month before trying to find my dream guide. I am in my room (which is actually messy this time, unlike last time. Much more accurate). I want to go somewhere else, and try to fly, but for some reason am having difficulty. I'm not able to simply start flying, like I usually am, so I decide to go to my "back up" method, which a dream character taught me when I was 5 or 6: I have to throw myself at the ground, and not be afraid of hitting it. (Kind of like that Douglas Adams quote, but I learned this long before I ever read it)It sort of works, but I get stuck hovering a few inches off my floor, and can't really move. I stand up, and try simply jumping. I hover in the air, and have to make some swimming motions to get going, but finally I'm able to fly like normal, and fly through the window. While I'm flying, I remember I need to anchor the dream, so look around at the detail of the shingles on the roof underneath my window, and then at the grass and the trees, rub my hands together, and - because it's so quiet - start singing, until everything feels significantly solid. Rather than trying to go anywhere else, I land in the back yard, where my cat is running around, and take a moment to appreciate the detail - everything is laid out exactly as it is in real life, and when I look down, I can see the detail of every blade of grass (though this isn't quite accurate because our "grass" is actually mostly weeds). I remember the task of the month, and shout

      "I need a Dream Character!"

No one appears in front of me, so I turn around (a little too fast) and the whole dream crumbles away. Everything is almost black, but I know I'm still dreaming, because I still feel like I'm standing, and I can't feel my real body, so I start singing and rubbing my hands together until things start coming back, and then walking around in a circle, feeling the grass on my feet, until everything is nicely solid again. My cat runs by, and I reach down to pet him, then start walking farther towards the back of my yard. I turn my head, and see a guy with a giant electric lawn mower cutting my neighbour's lawn.

      "Hey, you!"

He stops the lawn mower as I run over and hop the fence.

      "Sing me a song."

He looks kind of confused for a minute (and I notice that he kind of looks like Bruce Willis, but not quite), and then..."

"Um, okay... what would you like to hear? Classical? Rock?"

"Sing me your very favourite song."

He gives a huge smile "Okay!" and launches into some kind of jazz song that I don't recognize, but sounds like it must be a real song I had heard somewhere.

I wonder why my brain came up with that one, since I don't really like the style, and start looking around, wondering how long he's going to be singing, because I really don't want to be here forever.

A few seconds after I think that, he stops and says, "I only want to do one verse."

He goes back to his gardening, and I start trying to mess around and make rocks levitate, because in the lucid I had a couple nights before, I was able to make things fly around. But it won't work, no matter how hard I try, and suddenly the dream is gone.

I catch myself before I start to move, and lie perfectly still. I keep telling myself "I want to find my dream guide" and try to pick someplace that I want to go so I can imagine myself there, and hopefully enter my dream there, but I can't think of anything, and start drifting in and out of hallucinations and dreams.

Finally, one solidifies, and again, I already know that I'm dreaming. I'm in some kind of military base, with either cement or metal walls, ceiling, and floor. Only the emergency lighting is on, so everything is kind of yellow. I start wondering around, and doors open for me as I approach them. The place seems to be completely deserted. I start anchoring the dream by touching the walls, the floor, rubbing my hands together, rubbing my legs. I put my ear to a wall to try and hear anything, but it is quiet, so I start singing a little bit again.

I go through another door, to an intersection of a few hallways, and see a DC doing something at an electrical panel, and think "good, I need to get a DC to sing to me," and start to approach him, but then remember I've already done that, and now I'm trying to find my Dream Guide. I turn around, on my left there is a single orange door, and directly in front of my is a double orange door. I put my hands on the door knobs and say,

"My dream guide is going to be on the other side of these doors."

I open them, expecting to see the tall, freckled, curly-haired red-head who I saw once and thought might have been my dream guide (though never managed to confirm it because she disappeared too quickly) but don't see anything. It is very dark, so I walk through the doors, and see another set of orange doors - open - a few feet away, and walk through them into a large room with a low ceiling and dim lighting.

Halfway across the room, I see an asian girl who seems to be standing on stilts.

      "Are you my dream guide?"

She nods, and starts walking across the room to stand in the corner opposite me, but on the same side as the door. As she is walking, I realize she isn't on stilts, but has abnormally long legs - she was wearing light-coloured knee-high socks that just made it look like she was on stilts.

      "Really?"

      She nods, "Yes."

I start to walk towards her, and almost immediately the dream disappears.

Once again, I lie perfectly still and picture the room I had just been in, trying to get back to it, but just drift in and out of non-lucids for a while before my alarm goes off, and I finally get frustrated and give up.
    6. Pointless(Sorta) LD...8/11/11(Mid Morning)

by , 08-12-2011 at 05:39 AM (INeverWakeUp's Super Dream Journal)
NOTE: My recall takes off once again where I became lucid. I've had to sleep with only one blanket recently. It's one of the ones where the design makes it have holes on the whole thing. So I've been sleeping uncomfortably and my recall is shot.

I was outside my apartment right after becoming lucid. I have no clue how I did though. I saw a car and decided to drive it. I noticed I was to big for it though. Hm. Weird. So, I squeeze myself in, and I start the car. I drive all the way down to the end of the development. I was coming up towards three cars at the three-way intersection. So, I slam on the brakes. I ram into the first car. Oh damn it all. So, I now get out, and take the right turn. I run up the street until I reach a streetlight. I see Steve Perry on a stage in the middle of the street. He's singing to everyone(INCLUDING ME TOTM!). I notice he's all alone up there singing "Wheel in the Sky." I jump up and grab a guitar, and stet playing(Yes, I know this song on guitar). The guitar solo now kicks in, and I play it. Soon I see someone who's terrorizing everyone. Really?! Oh well, at least I did TOTM. I go back to the car crash, and I see one of the mechs from Avatar(the movie, not the anime). I get in it, and I pull out my weapon. Really?! It's a bunch of different colored missiles on a pistol. I fly up from the mech and see the guy. I fires the missiles at him, but they don't do jack shit. Oh damn it all. I noe get back in the mech, and sit down. I close the cockpit and go back to the missiles. I pull out a big shotgun. I shoot the missiles, and a shitty foot radius explosion happens. Dammit! I notice the guy got away now. Fuck! I see him flying away. I get out, and hold onto the mech. I try ki speed flying, but I can't. What?! Oh it's the mech, but I wanna take it with me! I can't seem to get away with it, to I go and sit upon a tree until I awake.

      Dream
      Lucid
      Task

I was driving to Madison's house. I remember this funny part where I was on the highway and the genie from I dream of genie showed up in front of my car as an apparition and tried to sell me the first season of her show on DVD. I thought to my self, Oh no you don't, I'm not listening to this crap, and drove through her.

I stopped at a gas station. They had a bunch of food, I don't have much to eat in the house right now and they had low prices so I got excited and looked around. I picked up some pita, and when I went to put it back the shelf was gone. I thought, "this must be a dream" and did some RCs. I tried to put my finger through my hand but I was really shaky. It still worked but I wanted to be sure so I flicked on and off a couple light switches. I wound up in the basement. When I turned around there was a girl a few years younger than me with no panties on standing there. Then her bra did this weird thing, kind of flapping around and off and flew away like it was a bat or something. I asked her to sing me a song. So blew a raspberry and shook her head and made this weird noise. I held her hand and looked her in the eye and said please. She said OK. She sang this very simple melody(do re mi do re mi do re mi so, ti do re ti do re do re mi so...) The words were somehow even simpler, Violin violin violin song, Violin violin violin song. I woke up while she was singing.

    8. Encouraging a DC to Sing

by , 08-11-2011 at 05:14 AM (The Lab Notebook)
Awake, Non-lucid, Lucid, [Commentary made while awake]

I’m in a building that is something like a conference center. There is a conference/camp event going on here for students in the $Program program. [Name has been hidden to prevent members of the program from finding this journal.] Most of the people attending the conference are teenagers and young adults. I go from the hallway through a door into one of the conference rooms, where there is a check-in and registration table set up. It’s covered with the papers that belong to that schema: lists of registered attendees, conference schedules and other materials for the conference, and calendars of upcoming events. I check in, then take a look at the calendar and see that there’s an overnight event coming up that includes attending a local high school’s football game. I want to go, but I think it conflicts with something else that I have going on.

At this conference, each $Program group that is attending has a different nickname or theme; my group is the “villains” group. The check-in table for each group is in a different room. After I've checked in, I walk back out into the hallway and encounter a girl, my age or a little younger, looking for her check-in room. Her name tag reads “Eliza.” I encourage her to join one of the “good” groups
[by which I mean, any group that isn't villains-themed], because she's new to $Program. I expect that I'll be the only one from my $Program group who participates in the larger group activities offered by the conference, because everyone else in my group is an older adult and most of the other conference attendees are teenagers or young adults. Besides, LN teaches high school for a living; she probably doesn't want to spend her off-hours with teenagers, too.

I start climbing the stairs to the second floor of the building to get to the conference meeting rooms. There are two flights of stairs that cross in an X in midair, joining together at the point where they cross to form a platform. A third, smaller flight of stairs extends down from this platform to the floor I want to get to. There are others climbing the stairs along with me.

[I don’t remember the transition, but] I’m outside the building I was just in. I’m on a beautiful college campus. It has trees, grass, and winding, paved paths between the buildings. The ground is not level, but contoured, rolling up and down. In this scene, I realize that I’m dreaming. [I don’t remember why or how; I just did.] I jump/float down one of the inclines, grabbing a handful of grass at the bottom of the incline as I land on another path, which [I think] has a low wall that stands between the path and the incline I've just jumped/floated over. I'm touching it to keep the dream stable by engaging my senses. It feels like real grass and is very soft and supple. I walk down the path I've just landed on, heading toward a small tree, covering ground much more quickly than I would in reality. [Here, I experienced that phenomenon I've read about here on DV where, in order to get somewhere in a dream, you focus on your intention to arrive there and suddenly, there you are, having skipped over the boring part where you traveled there.] When I reach the small tree, I touch it, wrapping my hand around its narrow trunk. It feels rough, like a real tree. I'm just happily enjoying being in a dream.

A little further along the path, just beyond the small tree, is a large, square, paved area, in front of the entrance to a building. A woman is standing in this area, alone. She’s older and has wispy brown hair, which she wears up in a loose bun. She has lines and wrinkles on her face, and has a patch of shiny, lavender-pink eyeshadow all over the center of her face. She’s wearing a long dress the same color as the eyeshadow.

I suddenly recall the current Task of the Month
[which I had just looked up, just before going to bed]. I approach the woman. In the distance, behind me, I can hear all the teenagers and young adults who are attending the conference/camp singing together:

“Day-oh, day-oh. Da-a-ay-oh, da-a-ay-oh. Daylight come and me wanna go home.”

I sing along with the young people as they begin the next repetition of this segment of music: “Day-oh.” As I sing, I look right at the older woman, expecting her to sing along, too.

“Day-oh,” she mumbles softly, looking down shyly at the ground to my left.

“Da-a-ay-oh,” I sing to her, still looking at her and expecting her to sing along.

“Da-a-ay-oh,” she mumbles, still looking down. I figure that she simply lacks confidence in her singing voice and encourage her by saying enthusiastically to her, “Come on, you can do it!”

“Daylight come and me wanna go home,” she sings, now looking up and demonstrating self-confidence. She proves to have a beautiful singing voice.

Pleased, I continue singing along with the young people, who have been singing the song all this time. The older woman continues singing along as well. “Come, Mr. Tally-Man, tally me banana. Daylight come and me wanna go home.”

Somewhere in the midst of those two lines,
the dream faded and I woke up, probably because I was so excited about having completed the Task of the Month for the first time since February.

      ----------------------------------
      Side notes:
I just looked up what the current Tasks of the Month were last night. I think this knowledge helped motivate me to want to have a lucid dream. I'm thrilled that I completed the basic task the same night! The euphoria from my achievement lasted for several hours into my waking day.
I'm also excited to have used a new dream control ability for the first time. I'd read that you could control what happened in your dreams, including controlling the actions of DCs, by expecting particular things to happen, but this was the first time I'd ever actually done it.
    9. First successful WILD! + TOTM + 2 False Awakenings (also lucid)

      non-lucid

      notes

After waking up to my early alarm, I went to the bathroom, replied to a couple of threads on DreamViews, and decided to attempt to WILD after being up about 30 minutes or so. I laid down on my back, head slightly elevated and tilted back, and I lay one hand on my stomach on top of the comforter, and the other hand underneath it, but also UNDERNEATH the covers, so that my hands weren't touching skin to skin.

My body was pretty relaxed except for a sore spot in my lower back, so I focused my awareness on the tension.. and HI began almost immediately. Mostly swirls and and static, but with faint hazy and fleeting images mixed in. As I watched it (mostly passively, but I admit with a little excitement at the fact that I was getting images but still aware that I was trying to WILD), I knew I was close to SP from the way my body felt (I have gotten this close a great many times), and was going to start a counting anchor, but I noticed that my hands seemed to be touching. Like actually touching skin to skin, even though I knew they were not. I began to focus on my dream hands, trying to move them, rub them together, pull them apart. They felt very heavy, so I didn't think I was quite ready to try opening my eyes, but I WAS making progress.

Then, I heard a voice speaking my name.. it was my mother. She was telling me to get up, more urgently with each repetition. I thought- 'oh man, I'm so close to a WILD right now, leave me alone!' and I continued to focus on my hands, hoping that if I ignored her long enough she would give up trying to wake me. She did not stop.. Her voice wasn't coming from inside my room though, it was coming from outside my door. I thought it was odd that she would be trying to wake me from the other room, but she WOULD NOT STOP. Finally, I breathed a big sigh, opened my eyes, and prepared to say 'Thanks for ruining my WILD attempt!' loud enough for her to hear me..

But her voice had stopped. No one was there. I was about to close my eyes again, but something caused me to try a RC. I attempted to levitate the fan on my desk and.. it worked! I was dreaming!

At this point, let me interject that I completely forgot that I was trying to WILD. I was only aware that I was dreaming and lucid. After I actually woke up and began recall (which was difficult because this LD led to 2 more), I remembered the transition from thinking my WILD was ruined to realizing it was a dream. It actually took me a few min into recall to suddenly exclaim out loud- 'Oh, I did it!' Very excited. anyway..

I got up and just stood there, looking around, stabilizing the dream (one of the threads I replied to right before WILDing was lucidmax telling me in my journal to work more on stabilization.. so this was my #1 priority throughout). I went into the living room, and my mom was there, so I told her I was lucid dreaming. We had a brief conversation that I don't really remember, as I was focusing on the environment. I recently read about dream mapping, and this was my #2 priority after stabilization.

I decided to explore the other rooms and found them to be as I remembered them growing up. I noticed a bag of candy in my sister's room, and I never eat in LDs, so I figured hey, why not, and began eating the candy as I walked around. Cool thing I noticed was that as I took candy from the bag, I could never empty it.. never-ending bag of candy

I went back into the living room, and then I remembered (finally!) the basic TOTM to ask a DC to sing to me. My mom was still there so I asked her to sing, but she seemed to not know what to sing, and in the end started singing something I had never heard. It was gibberish, and I thought 'I'll never be able to remember the tune or any of these words, I don't know if I'll get credit for TOTM'

So I went BACK to the back bedroom (my parents') and my sis was there this time. I asked her to sing to me, so she turned on the stereo and began to sing along with the song that was playing.. it was a song I haven't heard in 10+ years.. 'Waterfalls' by TLC (don't go chasin waterfalls / please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're used to / I know that you're gonna have it your way or nothing at all / but I think you're moving too fast..) I sang along with her and we danced like nerds for a bit.

At this point I decided to head out back to see what was in the back yard. As I started to open the back door, I remembered something I read in a post on DreamViews and tried to pass through the door without opening it. Of course, it worked, and I was outside.

The view was BEAUTIFUL. I was on one mountaintop among many, with canyons, valleys, hills all laid out in front of me as far as I could see, mostly covered with lush green trees. I hopped into the air, and then took to flight, marveling at the scenery. After flying around for a bit, I saw a soccer complex in a clearing where many DCs were playing (in full uniform, with spectators looking on, so they were games, not just practice). I swooped down to talk to one of the players. However, as I neared the ground.. I woke up. Or so I thought..

      -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

I woke up, disappointed about my LD being cut short. I got up and started to go to the bathroom. On a whim, I tried to levitate my guitar from the floor.. and it worked!

Ha! False awakening. After having a chain of FAs Sunday morning and NEVER becoming lucid in any of them (argh!), I felt some satisfaction in catching this one in time. The thought also occurred to me that I may have gotten up and gone to the bathroom many times before during FAs, never realizing I wasn't awake.

I went into the living room again and started looking around- working on my dream cartography again. The room was mostly the same, but this time there was a Christmas tree and a few presents, and Christmas decorations all around. I checked out the kitchen, then the hall closet, which seemed normal enough, but way too big to actually fit in the hall. There was no one around, so I decided to head out back again. I tried going through the back door without opening it again... and couldn't. I tried, and tried, and still couldn't. I should have stabilized again at this point, but I did not. Suddenly, I woke up. Or did I..

      -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

I woke up and my eyes were crusted with sleep. I was on my side, and still frustrated from failing at walking through the door and waking up from my lucid. Then I noticed a small puppy was in the bed next to me and my head was wet, very odd. After rooting out the false awakening before, I was onto its tricks and levitated the puppy. Sure enough, STILL dreaming!

As I stood up, my eyelids were heavy and still crusted with sleep. I wanted to rub them and open them wider, but I had this nagging feeling that if I tried to hard, I would open my REAL eyes and be awake. I don't know if this is the case, but I believed it at the time. So I closed my eyes, steadied myself, rubbed the sleep out, and gently re-opened them. I levitated a book on my desk.. and it worked.. Still dreaming. Things were still a bit hazy, though, so I grabbed my glasses from the night stand (I take out my contacts to sleep) and put them on. There, all better!

This time, I went into the living room and it was still Christmas. I thought- 'I wonder if I have alot of dreams about Christmastime' My mom was there this time, under the tree wrapping presents. She said to me (jokingly) 'Better be good or I'll take another present away!' LOL I also noticed my mom appeared much younger than she is in real life.. like I was looking at an old photo.

I went back into the other rooms, and noticed some differences. My sister's room was the same, but filled with boxes and what appeared to be the tops of a couple of pine trees, except almost all green 'leaves' and very few branches. I went into the other bedroom and my dad and sister were in there. Sis looked like she does now, except not pregnant (in real life she is 34 weeks preggo). Dad appeared as he does now, but with a long fu-manchu instead of his normal mustache.

The room was filled with sacks, and Dad and sis were pulling fireworks out of them. Dad started telling me about how he was going to beat her in the firework contest, and started rattling off the names of all the fireworks he had bought and how he would win. It was pretty much nonsense, but his point was clear.. he would win!

At this point, I headed back into the other room, intent on doing some more discovery outside the house, but I woke up. For real this time. D'oh!

My recall isn't as good as it normally it because of the FA's, so probably more will come to me about the exploration of my house and conversations with my DCs. I'm still pumped about my first WILD tho, and I hope this will carry over to future attempts.

It was also interesting to note the subtle changes in the house from one LD to the next. They all happened in quick succession in the same house, but there were furniture rearrangements, and even slight differences in room sizes and walls from one LD to the next. I'm just getting started with dream mapping, but I am definitely intrigued.

05-08-11 I am in holland again, I am outside and I am sleeping, though I am partially awake. There is chatter in the background and I believe they wouldn't actually wake me up, due to me having specified having an interest in dreams and sleep.

I keep waking up and looking out down towards the garage. At one point Ant comes over, I hear him before I see him and he intends on waking me up in a rather funny, but unpleasant matter. He intends to pour a glass of pickled cucumber over my face.

As he approaches I look up and laugh a bit, he doesn't seem to want to stop so I look at him, still smiling and start making some physically impossible move and tell him to lay off or “there will be violence”.

He lays off and we decide to head out. We head towards a supermarket at first and I am quickly left behind. I think about Ida who is standing a bit ahead and I think it is fair enough she doesn't want me anyways, I have little interest in her anyways. However it does spark a hint of emotional discomfort though no way near as much as usual.

As I am climbing over the wall I look down and I see a blue beetle that is best described as a mixture of a lady bug and a LEGO Duplo piece, with legs. I hear Ruth shouting to the others “He is coming I have just seen him jump”.

I notice how gracefully I jump both down the wall and past a couple of people over a pool of water. I notice my dream sign that I am capable of parcour. I become lucid.

I start looking around and fly a bit. I am in a city that seems like a crossover between Århus and Amsterdam. The rest of the crew is in a warehouse on the top floor and when I see them I start flying up towards them.

On the way up there I decide to try out some spider man stuff instead and I procede to crawling up the wall. Close up the wall is mostly redish with a lot of black to gray texture in it. The way I am stuck to the wall is remarkable in the way that I don't seem stuck as such, but it feels like my hands and feet are magnetically attached to the wall.

I start thinking if there is somethng I am supposed to do. I have decided to give the confidence issues a bit of a rest and decide to go playful. What is the TotM. Get a DC to sing and go to the chocolate factory, right.

I let go and drop to street level. I burst out in song in order to get the rest of the many DCs on the street to join me. I think I am going with “Dangerzone” off top gun, but no one seems to join in except a guy from behind me across the street and he just shouts Danger!

That won't hold up and I get a bit annoyed.

I ask to ladies walking by if they want to sing for me, but they refuse.

I think at this point the dream starts to fade and I command it to come back verbally. Things go blank and as the dream comes back it feels like I have one eye open in waking life and one in the dream world. I have felt like this before though and this time I decide to just ignore it.

I command the dream to stabilize and between that and ignoring the open eye syndrome (Coined!). I get the dream back on track. I run into a tanned guy wearing a yellow sports T-shirt with a sports bag over his shoulder.

I ask him to sing for me, but he only looks at me briefly before he turns sround, take on an arrogant attitude and tells me that he won't. Now I am getting angry so I grab hold of him place my hands on both sides of his face and looks him in the eyes. I briefly think of vampire compulsion, glamour or whatever you want to call it and start talking to him.

      He stares blankly at me.

“God damn, this is my dream and I am sick and tired of getting refused”
He reples with an astounding empty stare.
“Now you will sing to me!”
He starts singing “Happy birthday to you...”
“Yeah yeah that will do” It is boring and not my birthday, but task accomplished.
“Why do you need me to sing for you?” he asks
“Don't worry about it, you have done your part thank you”
“You keep information tight, don't you”
“As I said, this is a dream, so once you have been integrated with my consciousness again you will understand”

Now to the chocolate factory. I immediately think about doors. I have to find a door and expect the chocolate factory to be on the other side. It is getting darker, but I find a door inside a building and try and will the chocolate factory on the other side.

When I open the door I expect a portal to be there, though I only find a white canvas. I try it out and try and walk through it. It is difficult in particular my head doesn't really seem to be willing to. After a couple of minutes of faffing around inside a door that isn't a door the dream starts fading.

I pull the move I tried out before and when I come back in the dream again things have changed slightly. The scenery is darker and I am not sure what is going on. I am pretty sure I am dreaming, but I am uncertain so I pull a hand RC. Sure enough.

I was trying to open a portal to the chocolate factory, right onwards. I spot something that looks like a hotel up the road. I walk to it and prepare for the door to be a portal.

Now unfortunately the front door is made of glass, so it will be difficult imagining anything but the hotel I can see through the glass door. So I decide to walk through it and find another door I can try with.

As I open it there is no portal behind it, but a small passage way and a mirror at the end.

A mirror, that is interesting. That could be used as a portal, but first I observe my self reflection flicker in the mirror. It isn't like anything is missing, but my reflection is there one moment and gone the next flicking on and off.

I decide to hop through it and having learned from the first experience I go through head first. I manage to get my entire body fully through and then I just hover there. I start falling a bit and I figure that will work, never done portals before I don't know what to expect.

I keep falling and eventually looking up I see a door, I reach up for the handle and try and pull myself through, however I wake up just as I get the door open.

I am with some superhero crew. We are gathering some black obsidian bars, that are to be transformed into a single adamantium bar. I proclaim to someone that it is stupid to try and do that since adamantium can't be altered. I wonder if Stark can do it seeing as it is him collecting.

Notes: Third night in a row with a lucid. The technique of awakening from a night of dreaming, trying to recollect them and then go back to sleep seems to work wonders. Though I didn't have many dreams to recollect this morning the Obsidian/adamantium dream was fresher in my mind, but I have spent much time with my niece while writing down the dream, so memories have faded a bit.

I am talking with Gandalf about the enhance powers of the human mind. He ran a camp back in the 1930's-40's that was filled with people who showed extraordinary abilities. He told me of a man he knew, who could use Psychokinesis on a bullet, while in California, and kill someone in Tokyo, Japan. Then, the man showed me how during WWII, the program was cancelled due to their involvement in the war. The old man began showing me the ways of dream battling, and how to take it into the physical. Just as WakingNomad had been shown, this man explained to me the art of "Push-Pull" attacks: You harm them, then get their attention about the next attack you are going to do. That attention will help give you more power for the actual attack. Of course, it doesn't necessarily have to harm them, it can be anything from healing to distracting. I read an excerpt from the man's diary who had specialized in Psychokinesis.
"I can remove objects in the wounds, healing them perfectly. It would only take 120 minutes to heal completely."
There was another person with me, who I was practicing this new technique on. I wasn't trying to hurt him, and we were having fun. It seemed as though we knew each other. Then, the dream started focusing on the Army, and there was a commander there, saying that even though the Project had failed, this time it would turn out for the better. (Unfortunately, we've learned the hard way about military involvement.) There was also a general there who was adorned in a red velvet cape.

I am now in a church, and my Grandma was there as well. It was full of strangers, and it was obvious that Grandma hadn't the slightest clue who these people were. Grandma laughed,
"Wouldn't it suck if this was being recorded, while I'm up here making a fool out of myself?"
Ironically, I looked at a TV screen, and there she was, being recorded with a live sign on the top left of the screen. She was standing in the middle of a big group of people.

I am at Helio's house, with him and another boy. We decide to smoke some weed, but I only take 1 hit. Helio and the boy are tripping balls. I ask Helio if he still lives in town, and he says
"No man, I live out here now."
Then his mom comes home, and Helio starts writing something for his project.

A bunch of relatives and I are in an airplane again, and it is being flown by a woman, who looks like Amy Adams. We reach the point where we are going to land, except we're landing into the water. We hit the water with a hard smack and start skidding closer to shore, and closer to dangerous rocks. We stop to a halt just moments before we crash, and everyone gets off to a dock on the left. Now, we all get into a car, and Aunt Mellisa asks me what instrument my Dad should play. I tell her trumpet, because I play that. She pulls out a trumpet case, but when I look inside, half of it is foam. I tell her that there is no way this can work. She simply says "Try it then." To my amazement, it's the most beautiful sounding instrument I've ever heard, and it doesn't even have valves or a mouth piece. I play the C scale, and then Aunt Mellisa begins humming "Sunshine of your Love" by Cream. I play the guitar part with the trumpet. Verse one starts, and she starts singing "Candyshop", but to the beat of Sunshine of your Love. I stop soon after, just because it's way too funny. I get out of the car, and we're at Universal Studios. I go into this clothing store, and I find a backpack that's just like the one I have now, except it's too small for me. I set the backpack down, and keep looking around. A man comes up to me and says that he will trade me a backpack that would fit me for the smaller one. I graciously accept, but now I can't find the backpack. I tell him that I can just pay him, but he says no, because according to parole, he isn't allowed to handle money. Instead, we go to this fancy steak restaurant. I look in my wallet to see how much money I have, but I find all these Monopoly bills, and I keep throwing them out.

      DEADLY'S Dream

Very fragmented as I was away at a party:

Was in my grandmothers house, it have been moved into by new people of eastern-european origins. They had noticed the odd goings on in the house (I 'haunt' there) and had put up magical wards and protection symbols around the house. In the kitchen there was a big red mat with a rubber underside that they were covering in white feathers.
I decided to head to the pyramid and deal with this issue later, only to find myself trapped in the house.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

      Lucid task of the month!

I just have a bunch of words scribbled on the paper, and I'm not sure what order all of it came in, so bear with me.

"fish, increase, portal, piano, this is art, something I can't read written here..., sho(?), clock, hotel, keys, Berta (two & a half men), 3am, dog, never, spin, ghetto bitches, scared shitless, massive clock, time"

Bolded so nobody mistakes that word during my swearing spree.

It was a false awakening. There was a glow-in-the-dark thread shaking at one end of my room, while whatever was shaking it was blocked by a pillar just at corner of my bed by my right foot. There was an extremely ugly old lady sitting next to me, and it was very dark. I felt calm, and just closed my eyes and went back to sleep. Now that I think of it, it was my room from Fayetteville, not here in Albuquerque.

There's some dream here, not sure what. I'm in my music room here in my apartment, except there are pianos on both sides and there's a line of drum cymbals above each piano. "Dad... we only have one piano."
      Boom. Lucid.

I sit down and both these pianos disappear, replaced by one in front of me, whereas my my chair is moved back in order to allow space for the piano between it and my computer desk. I being to play it in the upper octaves in the key of C.

All the notes are in C, but in no way is it playing what I push. There is an excessive amount of hammer noise as if I were playing an acoustic piano, but thank god there was no chorus effect to it. Some of the keys to the left of my hands were pushing themselves.

Another false awakening. I look and see the same thread, same pillar, and same old hag. Wait wait wait, I'm still dreamining.

The thread ends up being attached to one of my Nike SB shoes, which is multi-colored with a white/charcoal base, a turqoise check and turqoise laces. The shoe is hopping around as if it has a life of its own. At this point, I am instantly scared shitless as it hops toward my bed. "Wait a minute.." I thought. "This is a dream. He can't hurt me." And I was no longer scared. The old hag never moved, and I never interacted with her.

      Yeah, she was that ugly.

Somewhere in here it is no longer nighttime and I'm out of bed. Don't remember this bit.

I'm in my living room. Well, not mine, but a very nice glass-walled bit on the edge of an ocean cliff. Think of the DirecTV commerical.

Shelves are mounted to the wall at some points. I can't describe this apartment as it would take me days to communicate it. But on these shelves was a giant alarm clock (the one I just bought yesterday at Best Buy.) The text isn't changing.

My dad is out on the balcony hanging over the cliff drinking a beer. I'm still lucid at this point and want to try another goal of mine: "open a portal."

I try to use telepathic powers but this does not work. I then think of the wall as only a dream and non-solid and try to jump through it. I think I would have had much better success if I turned around so I wasn't looking at the wall before I jumped.

I then tried thinking of the molecules, and the gaps in between them. I CHARGED at full speed. Thunk. No such luck.

I leave the apartment and walk out. Turns out there is no door, but the giant party room rolls into the lobby of the most extravagent hotel I've ever seen. I was on the 45th floor. The whole thing was open in the center with the walkways around the edges, a circular building.

I soon learned that my new house was inside an apartment and was still under construction, thus no door. It also appeared to me that the ocean was only where the balcony was, and all the other ocean views through glass were illusions.

There's a skip of no recall. Some chubby girl with black hair, your typical fat prep, was reaching in the fridge. Charlie sheen said "assist you in a sec."
      "What?"
      "Berta!"
      Berta: "Pfft. Right. "
Prep: "Oh bitch what da fuck?"
      -ensue ghetto argument-

I'm in a dark room with red lighting and red carpet. A couple Ibanez RG2228 guitars are laid out on racks around me.

I was with Michel from Meshuggah. Yup. He was giving me a death glare with his hands out away from him walking towards me, as if possessed.

Wait, something tells me this dream isn't over.

Another awakening, this time for real. I roll over and... WTF. It's only 3:03 AM. I went to sleep at 1:10, and I remember looking at my clock at 1:40 and spending forever trying to enter SP. I must be seriously deprived. Yet I slept 9 hours yesterday and napped for two. I've been getting 8 hours a night. hmm..

      Nope, not a dream.

I never went through any doors in this dream. I've been trying to RC every time I pass a door as they appear in virtually every dream. Somehow this is my only lucid in almost a year and yet it has no dreamsigns.

I think the lucid portion was ten to fifteen minutes long.
