A lucid occurred. A DILD. It was short however, and I was not able to do my abilities well like before. I know its because I have been messing up my consistent sleep schedule as of late and making lucid dreaming a abstract importance. However now, since, I have been taking DILD, Meditation, and SAT (Puffy's technique) seriously, I have been lucid dreaming at least twice a week, and keeping a clear mind to be able to do so. I realized though, after this last lucid, that I need to be able to familiarize myself with my dreams to make it much more vivid. My first Lucid was life-like and I couldn't tell reality from dreaming that day and I want to recreate that clarity. So I am now taking it as of much importance and it's been making feel great and light. I'll stop rambling and tell you the dream I woke up in my bed and lunged up, I knew I was lucid and confirmed it via nose plug. It was sort of hard to walk around at first but eventually I was able to. I changed clothes by mental capacity and looked at my feet. I realized at that moment I am in a ninja outfit. I leaped out the window in the night and began walking around. People were not noticing me since I was jet black. I was very stable and just spent the dream walking around noticing the world around me was a suburban neighborhood but different. I noticed it was more alien like with the glowing blue balls of light floating around and the bio luminescent plants scattered about. I then thought of sprinting quickly, so I did and with the velocity of the speed, my vision slowly faded, and I caught the transition of dream to awakening. I felt my body laying down and slowly linking to waking up and felt my eyes opening. So I could have done a DEILD if I knew instinctively to do that but....yeah.
NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID FALSE AWAKENING NIGHTMARE FRAGMENT TASK OF THE MONTH (Unconnected dreams indicated by a *. Connected dreams indicated by a •. ) This dream was written in past tense because I was so excited at completing the basic task that I forgot to write in present tense. • I fell asleep at 7 AM and soon found myself in a dream. At first, I only thought I was waking up after my nap. But after I witnessed time shifting (first I saw the evening star, then it was morning again, then night) in front of my eyes out my window, I did a nose pinch RC and realised I was dreaming. I got out of bed and walked downstairs. I looked into the dining room where I saw my mom. I then had a false awakening. My suspicion caused me to do another RC. I could breathe, so I knew I was still dreaming. I went to the fridge and opened it, and saw it was full of pudding cups. I decided since this was a dream, I could eat as many as I wanted. I ate a burger and it tasted like the real thing but the flavor was a bit weaker. I tried to utilize some dream control by conjuring up a backpack to put the pudding cups in. The backpack didn't appear even after I believed it would (heard you should believe, not try), but I just pretended to unzip the backpack and put the pudding cups in. I then walked out the door, pretending to be carrying a backpack, and decided to take a walk. I then remembered that I wanted to do the task of the month, which was laugh in a DCs face. I walked past a few people, then came across a guy who was fixing his fence. I walked up to him and proceeded to laugh right in his face. It was weak laughter, but that was probably due to it being a dream. I DID try to raise my chin and laugh like a villian in a cartoon, no matter how weak the laughter was. The man didn't give me a response.

Sort of a horror-esque type dream. I was in the living room with my mom, my brother, and his baby son. We were coming from the store when a girl, I guess his girlfriend shows up as well. After talking afterwards, his son falls off the edge of a porch and seriously hurts himself. We bandage him up and I look for my mom's towel in my brother's car. It was a beautiful day with passing clouds, a bright sun, and seemed mildly cool but was still warm. I was searching through his car which seemed very messy with a lot of things all over the place. He comes over and ends up helping. We decided to drive around so we end up whipping the car in reverse and spin around almost hitting which looked like my friends naj and isa. We drove up hill and noticed a anime styled girl walking in the middle of the street. Her eyes were black where it should be white and her iris was gold. Her mouth was slightly opened and she seemed to stare blankly at us. We drove by and she was just looking in one direction pass us. We kept driving and noticing most of the girls had the same eyes and this zombified look on their faces. Caught a girl biting another's head. I remember saying that they seemed controlled by this dead girl. Soon we are out the car walking when a dark skinned girl shows up. She wanted us to come with her. As we were walking down the hill near the school, I caught a glimpse of her eyes shift color to gold in a split second. Me and my brother end up running the opposite way and she resumed chase. We ran down this hill and afterwards turn left back up the other hill losing her completely. My brother had the idea of crossing over then full sprinting straight toward the house. She soon spots us again and we did just that. Speed running toward our house passing other girls who seem zombified and began chasing us as we picked up speed, almost inhuman at that point. We were at our house and I was watching TV about these magical primates that had white and gray fur. One had a staff with glowing red auras around them. They seemed very intelligent. Soon afterwards I heard that the girls desired to have sex with us since they were only running on reptilian instinct, however will try to eat people if hungry. Another horror esque dream showing me and friends playing basketball in a classroom. We were having fun until we noticed something odd. Things that were coming to reality shouldn't be. I saw Alma from the F.E.A.R games coming forth from the TV along with other creatures. We were all running around noticing these entities terrifying other people in the building and attacking them. One creature looked like a tall grotesque, humanoid bag of blood and skin, and another looked like a biomass looking golem. *Woke up at 7:30, wrote dreams in Awoken Journal, back to sleep* Short string of 5-6 lucid dreams. Each time it started, I woke up in my bed, plugged my nose, and confirmed it. Walk out of my room for different events to happen. It was almost like my room is a base to restart. One of which where I went to my front door only to have a girl walk in to make out with me. Afterwards I went to my room to spawn a DC but restarted. Second time walked from my room to the basement. A door opens another girl in and she follows me to my room and we talked about something. Restarted. Third same thing, I walked to my front door to see if another DC would spawn but nope. I stabilized and tried walking through a wall to my room and it worked. The last two I cannot remember, but I think I went outside to levitate reasonably high. Im working on figuring out what causes these lucid strings as im calling them and working to induce them. So far they seem to happen whem im in deep relaxation but tireless at the same time.

Today I FINALLY had a lucid again. Maybe it's because I got a small job yesterday, something I've been needing and previously I watched some jobs to go to other people by sheer luck, or rather my misfortune. Whatever. I was in some kind of city, passing something that might've been a restaurant The outside spot where people where sitting was 1,5m or so higher than the street, and there was a slopping angle, I stood on the slopping surface and jumped, but instead of falling relatively fast I managed to pass the street of the crossing I was at, jumping 20m or so. This was in fact pretty much enough to make me aware of my surroundings and a short moment later I was lucid, even without reality checking. I was on the left side of the street and went into a building, which unsurprisingly was very spacious on the inside and also had an odd architecture. Parts of it seemed... like a skate park I guess. There were also other people and they've been working on at least one room, ladders and buckets of paint were in that room. I remember that the ladder tumbled at one point and I got hit by a bit of paint, oddly I seemed not to wear a shirt for that moment, albeit I think I did before and after that incident. Throughout the dream I remembered Arxas and occasionally called out for her, albeit I wasn't quite sure what to do so nothing much came out of it. The first time my vision went blank and the dream tried to fade I desperately tried to hold on, and eventually jumped down some stairs (or a slopping surface, not sure). The breeze and impact I felt due to the movement actually pulled me back into the dream for a few minutes. The next time it faded I tried the same again, this time without success, although it felt like I almost had success.
Dont remember much, need to work on recall a lot I remember a large warehouse filled witj various sizes of red and white tanks like from airmech, but more curved and bubble looking. They were on some conveyer belt that was not moving, the warehouse looked old. The sky was a whitish blue, the sun was beaming on this warehouse, and there was someone in black. In Co-op with a friend (Satie) and seem to be very close. We were talking while walking downstairs and I trip over a blue slippery mat on the floor. She laughs, still wearing the same black hoodie and black frilly long hair high school. We go to the library and write on the tables there. I sit down while she stands and leans near me to write as well. She smells sweet. Small snippet if me and family arguing over food and chocolates. Then me and friends fool around with stuff and I threw a Gallon if milk on the ground. *Woke up, drink coffee, went and took a nap at 11:45 A.M.* Very short lucid DILD. was at a pool resort onside this building of many people. Soon after I went to sit down alongside the pool, I talked with this girl whom she took interest, but had a man. He came and I was sitting on his longboard. He was very tall and built, we chatted a bit about the very good food there such as the buffalo wings and sushi. Then I started playing with my penny board riding around doing tricks and then 2 African girls showed. We talked a little and one of them mentions about lucid dreaming. This is where I got lucid for a short time. I got off the wall I was leaning on and began to be more engaged with them conversing. Then one of them gets really close and we began flirting and kiss. She saying im interested in her, then I woke up.
Cannot remember much but I had 3 lucids and a false awakening, 1 was a DILD, and 2 were DEILDs The false awakening occurred right after the last dream ended, and threw me into it. I instantly knew it was a dream but my mind kept forcing me to believe it wasn't. (couldn't do abilities) I was able to go through walls, instantly change clothes with some minor difficulties and glitches, run fast, and spawn people correctly, however, I had to either find them or run into them. sadly I can only remember small snippets but I am still happy to have broken a dry spell. -Spawned Tifa from final fantasy, looked for her and found her in the pub with her crew. Messed with them and went through a wall and came back to sit on one of them. She saw how fearless I was (I think she drew a picture of a d*** on the table jokingly) and decided to have sex with me. Used some mental technique to clear the pub of people while I was making out and doing the do. -Another lucid of me spawning one of my favorite characters in a show and found her. She showed me her house and decided to just hang out with her family. -Highway turned into a falling and collapsing bridge when dream was unstable. I was sliding down and saw FF characters. I grabbed a sword like weapon while hanging onto a railing and it transformed into said weapon. Was thinking of joining whatever battle was about to happen but woke up. That's what I can remember so far. All the dreams started in my room, 2 of which ended up with me on the floor waking up. My mom was going to work, my dad was watching TV. and each of it was beginning just like that, and I will just go through windows to continue my fun. I guess I kept returning back to that same scenario unknowingly with DEILD. It was fun, I'm Happy. ADA has helped greatly when I decided to apply it yesterday, especially with how clear and almost life-like it was. It wasn't as clear as waking reality but it was damn near close.
This morning I had an LD again . It is becoming a weekly thing I hope! So far, most of my lucid dreams, I realize I'm dreaming when I notice odd things. I stopped doing reality checks in waking life, but I think doing them for a while made me notice signs better in dreams. I just feel like "Whoa, that's not real" or 'I'm not supposed to be here", and I become lucid, no special reality checks in the dream. Here are some highlights and notes I'd like to remember: It was the longest LD I had so far. I did too many things and went to many places, so I don't remember all the details, just flashes. This time I had no false awakenings! The last few LDs were full of false awakenings, so I'm really glad they stopped, at least for now.I tried to summon a pen I saw on the floor to my hand, and it moved to my hand for a second then disappeared, but I still consider it a progress. I never summoned anything before except a door.I used many doors that took me to many different places, but I didn't try to control the scenes at all.I went to a beach at some point, and I was afraid to swim in the big sea as I feel in waking life. I knew it was a dream, but as with flying before I was afraid that my fear and negative expectations would result in a nightmare or wake me up.The beach was too crowded, and I had some fun with some DC friends, then some DC was drowning, so I though I could try to save her, I ran there and she was already saved, so I was relieved that I don't have to do it, but again illogical since in a dream it doesn't matter if she drowns!I changed my clothes at the beach by thinking about it. I changed into a bikini .I had a few girls running around with me going on different adventures. Mostly, one girl at a time, but they changed. For some reason that I don't remember, I didn't try to change that or control it. I even thought of them as friends not DCs which sounds very illogical to me now. Maybe I wasn't 100% in control of my thinking, but I was 100% aware I'm in a dream.I went into a big building (I think near the beach) and I used an elevator to find a quiet room to do some stuff with my friends (DCs) since there were too many people everywhere. When I went up everything looked consistent. I mean I was still in a building that looks the same, just a different floor.I just watched Vanilla Sky last night, and there was a scene when the lucid dreaming company's tech guy was telling Tom Cruise that he can control the crowd around him. When I reached the room I wanted, it was too full of dream characters like it is a conference room, and I wanted it for myself, so I told them to go. Some left, and some resisted, so I called security to take them out as a trick .Everywhere in the dream was too crowded! I usually don't meet many DCs in my dream. It was the first time I dealt with too many.At some point, after I kicked the people out of the room, it seemed like I forgot why I was looking for the room. I remember now, but in the dream I did something different, so I probably forgot the goal. In the room, I talked to my DC friend and asked her a question just for fun that was related to helping people heal, and she just said one irrelevant sentence, "People are unformidable, so I moved on.I am learning driving lately in waking life, so I was looking for a car to drive in the dream. I thought I'd steal one, then I thought "Oh, I can just buy one since I can summon money". But now I think I was already in some kind of a vehicle when I thought of that, but this part is foggy now since I woke up before I got to find a car. Finally, I think that was the only dream that I actually had fun and adventures like I'm in a normal dream without stressing about changing things. The problem is that I don't remember myself making this decision in the dream, it just happened. I recall making many decisions about things in the dream, but I moved with the flow most of the time. I don't know if that means I didn't have much control, or I just made that decision and I can't recall it.
This morning I had an LD again . Here are some highlights and notes I'd like to remember: I could fly for a short distance, finally. It was more like a levitation. I didn't fall but I didn't go higher. I tried to walk through things, but that didn't work. After some time in the LD, I heard a loud noise, and I struggled to stabilize the dream, and I did for a while, but the noise kept coming back until my sister woke me up. I was so mad that she did but I couldn't tell her I was lucid dreaming since she knows nothing about it. Then later when I woke up after a few non-lucid dreams. I realized that the noise and the waking up were a part of my false awakening. I should have noticed that I woke up on the couch and I never sleep there like I noticed the wrong bed in last week's LD.The memory of LD is a little foggy since I woke up after I had some normal dreams. I usually remember it way more clearly when I wake up right after it and replay it in my head.I had 3 LDs so far this month, and I'm very happy I'm getting better. When I used to stress over having LD, I never had it, but now that I know I only get DILD when I nap in the morning after a good sleep especially if I'm just feeling drowsy and not tired, I kind of go to bed for these naps (I never force these naps) expecting an LD without obsessing over it, so it happens. I can't have these morning naps except on weekends, but that will do.I really need to work more on my surroundings control.

I know that it's a dream but, it seems so real. I get up and try to make it bright. But, it doesn't work. I try to remove my sleeping mask. But it doesn't work right away and everything is still dark. I am trying to use a MapleStory Luminous move and it doesn't work even though I point out my hands and say,"Reflection!" and really believe that it will work. (Reflection is a move that shoots out white light.) but, somehow, my vision gets brighter and I can see clearly now. I am still hearing the lucid dreaming audio that I was listening to playing as the dream continues. I decide that I will try to do my one lucid dream experiment for the moment: seeing what it's like to go through walls in my dream world. First, I walk to the wall that is on the right side of my closet. I think I run into it head on. But, when I impact wall, nothing happens. Then, I walk over to the wall in my room that has my marker board mounted on it. I decided that I will slowly reach my hands towards the wall and act as if it is water. However, my hand does not go through. The wall still feels as hard as ever. My left closet door is open and apparently there is a blue pillar that is the same shade of my wall in there. I try to think of that wall or pillar as water as well, but, when I press my hands against it, it still doesn't go through. Now, I decide to walk around and just explore the dreamscape. I decide to go to my mothers room. I think I'm floating in the air a little bit. When I push my mothers door open, I find JJ and my mom on the bed. I start talking to them just for the sake of it. I am still hearing the lucid dreaming audio playing pretty clearly as background music. I look on my mother's bed while I am on it myself and see iPhone with a grey case that has a circular hole in it to with a black Hollister bird on the actual gray iPhone. I think that the stylus that I have connected to my iPod touch WL is connected to this phone as well. I think that mom makes me feel uncomfortable and I decide that I should get back to my dream experiment. So, I decide to leave the room and resume my dream experiment. I walk down the hall, go down the stairs, turn right into the dining room, turn right again into the kitchen and am now in front of the door that leads toward the washroom. I see JJ in front of the sink washing dishes. She has her hair in a bun, I think a pink t-shirt, and pink and white pajama pants with black stripes separating the colors. I walk down the stairs and look left at the bottom of the stairs. I see JJ again walking towards the right in front of the washing machine and dryer. I say to myself, "Whoah. That's weird." I look in front of me and see that the same iPhone that I saw on my mom's bed is on the wooden, brown clothing holder. I say, "That's weird as well." I walk back upstairs, look to my right, and see JJ still washing the dishes. I've this point, I'm tired of trying to find a way to go through walls and I'm desperate for someone to tell me how to do so. So, I ask JJ, "JJ, do you know where I would find my dream guide?" She says something like, "Oh. You mean (I forget what she says, but I know that it is a positive answer to my question.) However, I don't think that I understand her fully. She repeats herself and I don't know how I react to it. But, I decide to go to her anyway because I feel like that's what she called me to do. I wrap my arms around her and she does the same to me. Then, suddenly, we take off flying straight up at a crazy fast speed, phase through the ceiling, and are now outside of our house. I notice that as we're ascending, I am peeing... like crazy. And seeing as how JJ and I are still holding onto each other, it's getting all on her. I'm thinking to myself, "Oh crap! I gotta stop this! This is really bad." For some reason, although I realize that this is only a dream JJ, I feel as though real WL JJ would be mad at me. However, dream JJ seems to be ignoring this situation completely and is just looking up and is focused on flying and getting me to wherever she wanted to get me to. We finally stop and are high in the air above a huge ocean that is a really blue. JJ points down to an island that looks like lumps of chicken. She points toward the bottom right middle piece of it and says something like, "That's where you want to go." I think the dreamscape changes... -I am on an island that has sand with some naked girl. She seems like a healthy size, average height, has tan or yellowish skin, and long, red, wavy hair. Apparently, she has a lucid dreaming app on her iPad that is apparently the same as my Dream journaling one, except it has more features on it. On the app it says something like we can start planning our own adventures now because we are past the beginners mark and it's showing us a whole bunch of RPG games to use for as a reference for imagination for our lucid dream adventures. ----- Date: Thursday November 26 2015, 12:35 PM Important: No ---Let the Games Begin Lucid Dream #> > Total sleep: 4:51 Daytime Techniques: Dream Journal Mindset + hypothetical RC's Lucid Techniques: "I am a boss Lucid Dreamer!" and know it. A lucid dream. It all began in this huge highschool trip to this escape. A large, wonderful and fun place with a cloudless sky and lit by a beautiful sun. From what I can gather, there was mini restaurants, water parks, and dance studios in this place. I was walking with my friends from high school, 2 to be exact, and soon I was taken away by a highschool girl named Jonet. A pretty girl who wore a lime green summer dress and was holding me by my waist; I did the Same. We walked upstairs into this complex, walked through the social rooms with many people in it, and into this small window lit room. I laid down and she got on top of me with a belt if some sorts and began to strangle my dick.....why? I struggled to get up due to the pain but successfully did. Soon afterwards, a man came who looked like a doctor said they were trying to do a procedure that will help fight against a horrible disease/infection that causes inflammatory responses all over your body and horrible things to happen to your package. I escaped the first time but was bought back by Jonet and they tried to do the same thing. I pushed her off and got up from the bed. While they were talking about me I looked out the window and did a reality check by plugging my nose; I became Lucid. I sat up and ran out in a rather quick manner and they were shocked by the speed. I was outside while they were chasing me and I began to jump fast and high to avoid them. I looked down while I was in th e air and soon half of the place became a map similar to a game called DUST 514. It was a Warzone One section of the escape had a large warehouse building similar to the game. I landed and picked up a weapon called a combat rifle. I began fighting green scouts with shotguns and SMGs and soon noticed people with my weapon were helping me It proved rather difficult but was exhilarating seeing lasers and projectiles flying through the air and sounds whizzing pass your ear. It was getting more vivid the longer it was happening. However, soon it became difficult to hold the dream and I woke up. Finally broke my dry spell! I've put off this wonderful activity for a while but recently started again. I finally have time to post entries so those who may read my dreams, expect a large influx.
I don't remember dreams for last night but when I fell back asleep this morning I had at least two, maybe three but I'm pretty sure 2/3 are connected, but I don't know how and I don't know the chronology. I remember having sleep paralysis (at this point I can't even tell if it was real or not). I tried reaching for the fan remote that was on the floor by my bed (my arm was hanging off, and the remote was out of view but I knew it was there somehow). I grabbed it but couldn't do anything else. Then I tried pulling my head up, which didn't work, and then I tried wiggling my feet which only worked slightly. Then I just sat there accepting my defeat and waiting for my mind to drift off back to sleep, but I get bored and a little bit annoyed I can't get more comfortable so I try again and suddenly I'm able to peel myself off the bed. I get out of bed and look around. It's very dark in my room, but absolutely nothing else is out of place, yet I decide to RC anyway. It works. I decide I'm going to fly around. I fly right through my roof as if it wasn't even there, and I look down at my house and it's like a glitched video game. I can see through the roof and everything around my house on the outside is just pitch black as if it doesn't exist. I can see into all the rooms and I see my dad at his laptop in one. I fly-swim around and drop into another room. It's dark all throughout the house but it's light enough to see things somewhat clearly. I notice a laptop right up against the wall, open, and it's floating in mid air. I ignore it and don't think much of it. I rub my hands together and touch stuff and then I yell dream clarity and everything is pretty clear, I look at the laptop and admire how "HD" everything looks. I began to walk back to my room thinking of what I should do and when I'm about enter my room I feel the dream slipping and I quickly try to think of a way to keep the dream going but I fail. Another dream I had I was going into Karazhan raid tryouts (in WoW). I was with my friend who was playing, and we go through the entrance, to the right into this huge room with a large disk, almost CD-looking but with a large hole in the middle. It was about the width of the room and it was kind of floating off the ground. In the middle was a giant robot looking thing (looks JUST like this https://www.dandwiki.com/w/images/2/2f/Arcane-golem.jpg). He was the boss we were going to fight. We all hop on the disk and it begans wobbling and spinning around the boss and it's really tough to stay on. I remember looking at a warlock to the left of me, it was an orc female, and I also looked to the right and saw my friend trying to stay on and stab the boss. I think we ended up killing him or something, and getting off the disk and walking back to the first room. This third dream is connected to one of the last dreams, but I don't remember which. It begins with me falling out of the sky into the water into some minecraft world. I look out and to the right of me is a shore, left is a mountain, and forward is a mountain shaped like a creeper head, with eyes popping out. Suddenly there is a creeper in the water and I begin punching it and I notice it is only a creeper head. It's taking damage from something and it keeps trying to blow up and I deliver the finishing blow. I assumed it was drowning and that's why it was taking so much damage. I then swam to shore. I remember other things happened in that dream, like I flew around and talked to some people in a chat. I also think the dream started before I fell down into the water.
The first night back into trying to have LD's and I sorta succeeded, yay! My recall of this has slipped a little bit but here we go. 1: I was helping my mum do something about the American election on the computer, there was some really dodgy propaganda videos playing. 2: My class and I were in China, Shanghai I think, and we were all waiting outside a big, old, fancy building. A couple of policemen came out and asked some of us to go in, so we followed. Turns out they weren't really policemen, but employees inside what appeared to be a sleazy brothel sort of place. We stated chatting with some people as the rest of the class came in. Some fights broke out and somehow our teacher got co-opted into a fight to the death with their champion. We all sat down in stands and watched as their champion, wearing a metal gauntlet, stepped out. Our teacher came out and the two began to fight in a boxing ring. I'm not sure what happened with the fight then as the dream sort of dissolved. 3: I was on my computer, thinking this was waking life, when I decided to do a reality check because why not. Surprise surprise, I was in fact dreaming and my fingers slid through my palm. I sort of confirmed this was a dream by swapping in between feeling my dream body and real body and telling myself to remember that I was in bed, but I still had lowish level lucidity. Anyway I sort of reformed the previous dream and then took the place of my teach. This time however my opponent had full metal armour, a shield and a mace, whereas I just had fists. I danced around for a while, avoiding his swings, until I had a plan. As he swung the mace I blocked on the inside and slapped it out his hand. This meant he was free with his other hand to punch me, so I dragged that hand in so the gauntlet was digging into me, but I held it in their as I flipped the visor of his helmet and proceeded to pummel his face. After a dozen punches or so he fell over, but the cost was great as I had a great big gash across my stomach where the spiked knuckles of his had dug in. After this lucidity wobbled for a bit and the scene changed, but I regained it and shot a fireball off at my brother (lol). The scene changed again so I was outside my old house. I regained lucidity and then started flying, the first time I've managed it in a dream!!! It felt fantastic as I soared a couple of hundred metres above the ground, but I don't remember much after I landed as the dream and lucidity dissolved. 4: Just a fragment about being in a park and helping two women with a baby. It was almost infused with Skyrim so I used a weapon to try and kill an animal to loot it but was having difficulty.
It was a short lucid event...as mine tend to be...but encouraging nevertheless (and anticipated). Yesterday, for the first time during the day, I managed to jerk out of my daytime “dream” on about 10 occasions (the “dream” that isn't “awareness”) I usually get so caught up in daytime living that I only manage a few. I only practiced the awareness for a few minutes each time...looking around, thinking “this is a dream,” noting body sensations (particularly the feet) but the real breakthrough was the fact that the “trigger” occurred much more frequently. Maybe reading about the brain is helping...”use it or lose it” as the book says and I'm much more aware how neurons, axons and dendrites work and how critical it is to stimulate the brain by repetition. I think I really pushed my brain sections when I first learned the dream routines. I remember how tired I often felt, how sometimes I awoke feeling really ill and (what I called) the “flashing” in my eyes. I now know that neurons were being frantically sequestered from other tasks to cope with my new demands. The basics are now firmly implanted so hopefully, when health problems etc are resolved I'll be even more back on track. I was dreaming about a town and I had somehow entered a place where I sensed I shouldn't be and I was poking about in some equipment and I broke a piece off. I retreated apparently still clutching a bar of metal and decided to return to the (hall?) and replace it but I couldn't find the place again. That's a major DS for me and might have started the LD process. The dream was more vivid than usual and I remember tossing the metal into a nearby bush then thinking “I'm dreaming!” By now, I can keep the excitement at a reasonable level and I resolved to look around and not dash off (another first really). Then I thought “RC” (good) and decided to levitate. I had resolved to try 2 or 3 RC's and maybe suddenly change the order (further validating the lucidity) but I'm happy that I full-filled most of my training. I rose cautiously but started to go out of control a bit so I abandoned that and focussed on a nearby pub. It was beautifully clad in small bright green tiles and all there was a small war memorial alongside it. Then I felt the dream ending. Damn! I have same old 2 problems...the shortness of my LD's and the fact that they are generally at the top of the night (usually after at least 7 hours sleep + a WBTB). I assumed it was lack of melatonin but I now have 1.9mg tablets which I've occasionally taken at various times throughout the night with no effect so far. I'm going to try 2 tabs one night (although the Spanish chemist was apparently shocked when asked for 4mg tabs and, knowing how even Spanish painkillers are at higher strengths than allowed in the UK, I'm understandably cautious) Hopefully, the “awareness” trigger is here to stay and I can further extend the periods of awareness. So...a good result for me and maybe a sign of more to come P.S. I had a “romantic” dream 2 nights ago...not sex...but hey! that's over-rated (I can afford to say that at my age) But, I'd rather have a romance with a good plot than a quick “wham bam thank you DC” but can I have it lucid next time?
Another lucid last night. Went in and out of full and semi lucidity, but maintained a thread of awareness throughout. I became lucid while looking in a mirror in a hallway. That is a common thing for me. Mirrors always induce lucidity. They're one of the absolutely fool-proof things for me. The mirror turned out to be in the hallway of one of my home bases, so I started off with the advantage that I was already at least partially anchored. I don't really remember, I think the mirror was near the door to the outside, because I believe that's the door that I opened later on. I should have paid more attention. Anyway, I immediately tested my suspicion that I was dreaming by attempting to push my arm through the surface of the mirror. There was slight resistance on the surface, and then my arm sank in. The mirror looked like quicksilver as I pushed my arm through it. Satisfied with the knowledge that I was dreaming, I spent a while playing with my appearance and examining myself in the mirror. I eventually managed to turn myself into more of a caricature of myself than my actual appearance, which I found very entertaining. While I was playing around with my eyes - moving them around, changing the size and shape, etc - I could hear my brother's voice narrating in the background that he at least liked this current character design better than the last (implying that he really didn't like either). I waved it off and kept playing around. I was really satisfied by my handiwork because I had trouble with this before. I then spent a little bit more time dressing myself up as a sort of elven-looking sorcerer. Just as fun as cosplay, and several hundred dollars cheaper! After spending some time tweaking my heroic cloak/cape thing (I settled on something asymmetrical and held up on one side by a nice brooch that I own in real life), I decided to meet up with some friends at a tavern. I opened the door to go outside, and The Blackness happened. Some people call it The Void. Instead of the outdoors or the tavern that I wanted, everything beyond the door was pitch black. I stepped through the door into The Blackness, hoping it would dissipate. Instead, it enveloped me, and everything went dark. I tried vividly imagining my hands and moving them around in front of me. I briefly saw them appear before they faded back into the darkness. Waving them around some more didn't make them reappear. I decided to try something I have never tried before. Instead of trying to make it go away, I would condense The Darkness into a form where it could no longer impede me. I held out my hands and tried drawing it into a form in my hands. It didn't work, possibly because I was unable to see my hands. I then put my hands behind my back and focused on trying to summon it that way. I felt fur and a small warm body. The Darkness disappeared as it was channeled into the form of a cat. I brought the cat around to the front. It was skinny, with soft shiny black fur and gold eyes. I petted it and set it on the ground, and it ran off. Now I could see, through the open door, not blackness but the brightly lit inside of the tavern. It had polished wooden floors and brightly burning candles and torches. I rushed to the booth everybody was sitting in and scooted in. The booths were tall, made of dark stained wood, and seats were made of leather. While we were waiting for our server, I lost the thread of lucidity and the dream faded. I don't really remember the rest of what I dreamed about that night. ____ I'm pleased that I finally solved a long-standing problem and completed a successful completely-controlled scene change. I've felt so stupid about struggling with these basic things after even several years and the ability to WILD with regular success. I'm looking forward to honing my skills further, as this has been a serious road-block for me. One thing I can say is that my ability to maintain dream stability and my thread of awareness has gotten SIGNIFICANTLY better.
It's been a few weeks since I've had a lucid dream (even longer since I've written about one). I remember being transported to the "future" which seemed to follow the ideas of the TV series Fringe, in the way that in this future there are advance humans that have the ability to read your mind, and try to control ordinary citizens with this ability. I remember being in the future with my boyfriend, and a friend of ours. We had gone to an old run down movie theater which apparently we had made long ago to be our "headquarters" for the resistance against these advance mind-reading humans. When I had walked inside, I had found everything to be falling apart and covered in dust. I had also found our faithful dog companion, and it looked like he had been living there for years, waiting for us to return. I had felt so bad for the dog, as it had looked like he had not been eating well for quite some time. I had decided to get a hold of some dog food to help nurture our friend back to health. All three of us had gotten into a car, where my friend had suggested that I drive. It was at this point that I became somewhat lucid because I had said to her "Are you sure? I'm not really great with driving cars, especially in dreams..." I had shown her the difficulty with driving while in a dream when I tried to stop the car outside a gas station, and had trouble getting the car to come to a complete stop. The car only stopped completely when I had focused my attention and "stopped" it with my mind. I walked into the gas station where I began picking out bags of dog food. It was then that a few of those mind reading humans came into the station, with their guards right behind them. I knew that they would be looking for us, or at least sense us to be suspicious, so while I was attempting to pay for the dog food, to combat the obvious mind reading, I began reciting musical scales in my head. I had to focus all of my will to think only about music, and not anything else to give me away. The gas station attendant had trouble running my credit card to pay for the dog food, and was obviously nervous about those who had just come in. He was so nervous he just let me have the dog food so that I could get out of there. I quickly left the store and found my friend, she was worried I had been caught. I told her I was fine and that we needed to all get on the next city bus to get away. I woke up.
