It was a short lucid event...as mine tend to be...but encouraging nevertheless (and anticipated). Yesterday, for the first time during the day, I managed to jerk out of my daytime “dream” on about 10 occasions (the “dream” that isn't “awareness”) I usually get so caught up in daytime living that I only manage a few. I only practiced the awareness for a few minutes each time...looking around, thinking “this is a dream,” noting body sensations (particularly the feet) but the real breakthrough was the fact that the “trigger” occurred much more frequently. Maybe reading about the brain is helping...”use it or lose it” as the book says and I'm much more aware how neurons, axons and dendrites work and how critical it is to stimulate the brain by repetition. I think I really pushed my brain sections when I first learned the dream routines. I remember how tired I often felt, how sometimes I awoke feeling really ill and (what I called) the “flashing” in my eyes. I now know that neurons were being frantically sequestered from other tasks to cope with my new demands. The basics are now firmly implanted so hopefully, when health problems etc are resolved I'll be even more back on track. I was dreaming about a town and I had somehow entered a place where I sensed I shouldn't be and I was poking about in some equipment and I broke a piece off. I retreated apparently still clutching a bar of metal and decided to return to the (hall?) and replace it but I couldn't find the place again. That's a major DS for me and might have started the LD process. The dream was more vivid than usual and I remember tossing the metal into a nearby bush then thinking “I'm dreaming!” By now, I can keep the excitement at a reasonable level and I resolved to look around and not dash off (another first really). Then I thought “RC” (good) and decided to levitate. I had resolved to try 2 or 3 RC's and maybe suddenly change the order (further validating the lucidity) but I'm happy that I full-filled most of my training. I rose cautiously but started to go out of control a bit so I abandoned that and focussed on a nearby pub. It was beautifully clad in small bright green tiles and all there was a small war memorial alongside it. Then I felt the dream ending. Damn! I have same old 2 problems...the shortness of my LD's and the fact that they are generally at the top of the night (usually after at least 7 hours sleep + a WBTB). I assumed it was lack of melatonin but I now have 1.9mg tablets which I've occasionally taken at various times throughout the night with no effect so far. I'm going to try 2 tabs one night (although the Spanish chemist was apparently shocked when asked for 4mg tabs and, knowing how even Spanish painkillers are at higher strengths than allowed in the UK, I'm understandably cautious) Hopefully, the “awareness” trigger is here to stay and I can further extend the periods of awareness. So...a good result for me and maybe a sign of more to come P.S. I had a “romantic” dream 2 nights ago...not sex...but hey! that's over-rated (I can afford to say that at my age) But, I'd rather have a romance with a good plot than a quick “wham bam thank you DC” but can I have it lucid next time?
Another lucid last night. Went in and out of full and semi lucidity, but maintained a thread of awareness throughout. I became lucid while looking in a mirror in a hallway. That is a common thing for me. Mirrors always induce lucidity. They're one of the absolutely fool-proof things for me. The mirror turned out to be in the hallway of one of my home bases, so I started off with the advantage that I was already at least partially anchored. I don't really remember, I think the mirror was near the door to the outside, because I believe that's the door that I opened later on. I should have paid more attention. Anyway, I immediately tested my suspicion that I was dreaming by attempting to push my arm through the surface of the mirror. There was slight resistance on the surface, and then my arm sank in. The mirror looked like quicksilver as I pushed my arm through it. Satisfied with the knowledge that I was dreaming, I spent a while playing with my appearance and examining myself in the mirror. I eventually managed to turn myself into more of a caricature of myself than my actual appearance, which I found very entertaining. While I was playing around with my eyes - moving them around, changing the size and shape, etc - I could hear my brother's voice narrating in the background that he at least liked this current character design better than the last (implying that he really didn't like either). I waved it off and kept playing around. I was really satisfied by my handiwork because I had trouble with this before. I then spent a little bit more time dressing myself up as a sort of elven-looking sorcerer. Just as fun as cosplay, and several hundred dollars cheaper! After spending some time tweaking my heroic cloak/cape thing (I settled on something asymmetrical and held up on one side by a nice brooch that I own in real life), I decided to meet up with some friends at a tavern. I opened the door to go outside, and The Blackness happened. Some people call it The Void. Instead of the outdoors or the tavern that I wanted, everything beyond the door was pitch black. I stepped through the door into The Blackness, hoping it would dissipate. Instead, it enveloped me, and everything went dark. I tried vividly imagining my hands and moving them around in front of me. I briefly saw them appear before they faded back into the darkness. Waving them around some more didn't make them reappear. I decided to try something I have never tried before. Instead of trying to make it go away, I would condense The Darkness into a form where it could no longer impede me. I held out my hands and tried drawing it into a form in my hands. It didn't work, possibly because I was unable to see my hands. I then put my hands behind my back and focused on trying to summon it that way. I felt fur and a small warm body. The Darkness disappeared as it was channeled into the form of a cat. I brought the cat around to the front. It was skinny, with soft shiny black fur and gold eyes. I petted it and set it on the ground, and it ran off. Now I could see, through the open door, not blackness but the brightly lit inside of the tavern. It had polished wooden floors and brightly burning candles and torches. I rushed to the booth everybody was sitting in and scooted in. The booths were tall, made of dark stained wood, and seats were made of leather. While we were waiting for our server, I lost the thread of lucidity and the dream faded. I don't really remember the rest of what I dreamed about that night. ____ I'm pleased that I finally solved a long-standing problem and completed a successful completely-controlled scene change. I've felt so stupid about struggling with these basic things after even several years and the ability to WILD with regular success. I'm looking forward to honing my skills further, as this has been a serious road-block for me. One thing I can say is that my ability to maintain dream stability and my thread of awareness has gotten SIGNIFICANTLY better.
It's been a few weeks since I've had a lucid dream (even longer since I've written about one). I remember being transported to the "future" which seemed to follow the ideas of the TV series Fringe, in the way that in this future there are advance humans that have the ability to read your mind, and try to control ordinary citizens with this ability. I remember being in the future with my boyfriend, and a friend of ours. We had gone to an old run down movie theater which apparently we had made long ago to be our "headquarters" for the resistance against these advance mind-reading humans. When I had walked inside, I had found everything to be falling apart and covered in dust. I had also found our faithful dog companion, and it looked like he had been living there for years, waiting for us to return. I had felt so bad for the dog, as it had looked like he had not been eating well for quite some time. I had decided to get a hold of some dog food to help nurture our friend back to health. All three of us had gotten into a car, where my friend had suggested that I drive. It was at this point that I became somewhat lucid because I had said to her "Are you sure? I'm not really great with driving cars, especially in dreams..." I had shown her the difficulty with driving while in a dream when I tried to stop the car outside a gas station, and had trouble getting the car to come to a complete stop. The car only stopped completely when I had focused my attention and "stopped" it with my mind. I walked into the gas station where I began picking out bags of dog food. It was then that a few of those mind reading humans came into the station, with their guards right behind them. I knew that they would be looking for us, or at least sense us to be suspicious, so while I was attempting to pay for the dog food, to combat the obvious mind reading, I began reciting musical scales in my head. I had to focus all of my will to think only about music, and not anything else to give me away. The gas station attendant had trouble running my credit card to pay for the dog food, and was obviously nervous about those who had just come in. He was so nervous he just let me have the dog food so that I could get out of there. I quickly left the store and found my friend, she was worried I had been caught. I told her I was fine and that we needed to all get on the next city bus to get away. I woke up.
Only remember bits and pieces of this dream… I was taking a load of laundry down into the basement of my former home, to find a door that lead to the actual washer and dryer (not like IRL). I was going to turn the nob on the door when I saw a HUGE spider had made a web all around the door frame, and had positioned itself right above the nob. If I had attempted to open the door, the spider would have bit me. This spider was very strange, long black legs, with a large body. However, the body was bright florescent red or pink, and it almost seemed to glow. I took a step back and realized that the spider had created a web all around, and it was probably best for me not to do laundry at that point. I backed up further into the basement only to find myself outside and my basket of laundry gone. It was this dramatic shift in location that allowed me to become lucid. I laughed when I realized I was dreaming (a common thing for me apparently). As I looked up to the sky I saw dark storm clouds brewing. I was not alone, outside with me on this grassy green, fenced in lawn, were a few kids and teenagers, a bit younger than me. I remember a brunette girl, and a couple of other kids. They were all concerned that the storm would rain on them while outside. I told them to watch me. I reached my hands up to the sky, and like wiping marker off a white board, I wiped away the dark clouds, revealing the blue sky and the shinning sun. They all cheered and started playing in the field again. I told them that I was going to just fly around a bit, and began lifting myself several feet off the ground. I flew over to the edge of the field to where the white picket fence was, and saw that there was a road beyond the field. I noticed a red haired animal trying to escape the field and it almost seemed like it wanted to jump into traffic. I had the feeling that this animal was connected to me, or belonged to me, so I feared for it’s safety. It was a very obscure animal, and the best way to describe it was that it was almost like my “pokemon” and I had to save it. As it tried to jump over the fence, I used my telekinesis abilities to grab it in mid air and pull it back to the field. I didn't understand why it wanted to go into the road so badly. But I made sure it was safe. The dream shifted and I lost lucidity for a moment, I was at work, selling someone a flute…I woke up.
Finally, after weeks of a dry spell, I was able to become lucid. It was me, and several other dream characters that I had not known personally. We were all trying to escape this factory/mall compound because one of the girls that was with us was being chased by the police. She was in the country illegally and the police were going to deport her, but for some reason we needed her here for some coming apocalypse (yep, for sure one of my dreams). I'm not sure what she could do to stop the disasters coming or what importance she had for the end of the world, all I knew was that she was needed. I hadn't been lucid until we came to the food court/back alley area of this "mall" and I realized the rediculousness of the dream setting. Once I became lucid, I imediately had the thought to try and jump to another's dream, but I either was distracted or chickened out, so I decided to manipulate the dream that was playing out before me. Once we all got to this food court area, the police rolled up in their cruisers and blocked us from escape. They were going to arrest the girl (black hair, darker skin complection), but me being me, I became lucid and decided to fly through the food court to get food. (I know, what the hell, right?). So, I flew around and grabbed a hot pretzel off one of the food carts, paying no mind to the angry employee I just stole from. I suddenly remembered the whole point of the dream was to protect this woman, and so I flew back to the police scene, to find that they had barely made any progress on actually arressting the girl. Before the police could grab her I pushed them all back behind their car with a sort of "force push" power. I pushed them back against this brick wall (that apparently lead to an alley leading out of the complex), and immediately put up an invisible energy sheild to protect us all from the police. The two officers began throwing what I think were granades at my force feild and I could hear the loud bannging of explosions when the granades came in contact with my sheild. I was amused that they thought they could break through with simple granades. Then, the two officers combined and morphed into this tall, green, crocodile like demon. This thing was pissed off, and began running head on into the sheild, making a more significant attempt of breaking through. I could feel that this thing was a bit stronger, so I used a good amount of my energy to push this thing back against the brick wall, and focused on sending a silent invisible blade at its neck, all while keeping the sheild up. The energy blade made contact with the creature, and I saw a thin line cut spread across its neck, until its head completly rolled off its sholders. Pleased, with what I did, I looked back at my party. I saw this older gentleman who was traveling with us (who strange enough, looked like Giles from BtVS), and saw his eyes grow wide. I looked back at the, now decapitated, creature to see three more crocodile demons sprout from its courpse. The Giles character shouted to me "cutting off its head won't do any good, you need a great amount of explosive force directly on its heart to make any difference." I smiled, looked back to him and replied, "how about the force of an atom bomb?" He laughed, "yes, I suppose that will do." My intention was to drop the shield and send a huge chi blast directly at the creatures' hearts. Unfortunately, I awoke before I could do such a thing....oh well, there is always tonight. *Spelling errors everywhere I know, go with it
FINALLY had a lucid dream after months of a dry spell I don’t remember much before my “ah ha!” moment when I became lucid. I just remember it was me and a few friends (or complete strangers I thought were my friends) were at this apartment complex/dormitory thing. It had multiple townhouses, upper scale dorm rooms, and little convenience stores that all faced at one particular point, which was like the outdoor common area for it’s residence. Something was wrong, I can’t remember what, all I knew was that for some reason my friends and I need to get out of this complex but were unable to do so. (I kind of remember monsters or enemies of some kind surrounding the complex) So, we were trying and trying to break through their line and get free, but couldn't come up with a great plan to break out. Me and two other girls were standing beside a car (could have been one of theirs) looking at this huge blockade of men/monsters/barricade that blocked off the entrance to this complex. I can remember thinking “man I wish this was a dream, then I could just blow the fucker up…” I stopped, thought about where I was for a minute, did my reality check and confirmed that I was in fact dreaming. As soon as I realized it, I busted out laughing as I kicked off the ground and started flying. My friends turned back and were in awe at what I was doing. All I could do was smile and shrug at them, I was so happy to have gained lucidity again. I flew over to the blockade, charged up this huge energy/fire ball and let ‘er fly at the blockade. It exploded, damaging the enemies defenses, allowing some residence to escape. I didn't want to leave the party just yet, so I flew around a bit, shooting energy balls at my enemies, all the while marveling at why I didn't realize I was dreaming before, everything looked and seemed so cartoony now. I fought a couple monsters, hand to hand, which was fun. After a while the scene started to bore me, and I started to experiment with my abilities outside the plot of the dream. While a bunch of people were being chased by monsters and fleeing for their lives, I decided to try and create a carbon life form just from my mind (a particularly difficult task for me). So, I stopped flying, set myself atop a small grassy hill (which was still being surrounded by the battles and chaos) and tried to grow and bloom a flower on command. I knew that manifesting a separate life was different than manipulating the energies of myself, so I focused not on ME creating the flower, but instead I focused on the energies it would take the earth to create a flower. I put my hand to the earth, sending some of my energies to it through my hand, I imagined a tiny seed sprouting, creating roots to spread about the earth, and finally, I imagined it sprouting, growing, and blooming. Within seconds of me doing this, a beautiful pink, small, daisy-like flower sprouted and grew from the earth where I was focusing. I did it! I created life! It survived until some scared resident trampled it.
Notes: - By studying my most common dream signs (bears and thunderstorms), I was able to have a DILD, even if it was only for a few seconds. - I was able to fall asleep after this segment, but I returned non-lucid. Such a shame. [Plot 1 begins]: I'm in a forest, not unlike the picture below. To my right was a large building; a concrete apartment building, but it was some rich family's mansion for some reason. I was alone in the forest, moving parallel to the house, going over little knolls and hills and taking cover. I had in my hands an M14-like rifle in my hands, similar to the one pictured below. I took cover behind a little hill, and peeked over with my rifle. Suddenly, I felt an eerie sense of fear, and out of the edge of the forest 150 yards in front of me stumbles a huge grizzly bear. [ENTER LUCIDITY] I immediately recognized the fear and the bear as one of my dream signs, and suddenly became lucid. However, I could feel myself losing grasp on the dream in less than a second. I tried spinning, but I got tunnel vision and lost control. [Wake up; fall back asleep]: For once, I managed to land back in the same dream, but now the bears were trolls, so I didn't really recognize them and I lost my lucidity. The dream continued, but I've forgotten it now. [End plot 1]

I had a weird lucid. I remember asking my mom if she really loved me. She replied with an unenthusiastic yes. And I thought Hmm she wouldn't reply like that in real life. I remember waking up, not sure if it was a false awakening but it probably was, seeing how I eased back in so quickly. And in the lucid I asked the dream who I love the most. The dream replied, Your parents. I woke up soon after. This was a strange one, I remember actually being able to feel and taste. Tell me if you've ever had any weird lucid or non lucid dreams. Also I wasn't even doing reality checks or trying to lucid dream when this happened.

LD: I was hanging out with my brother when I was going through some things about weird directional forces of quantum mechanics or something and it wasn't working. We started to have the discussion about when we both started realizing. WERE IN A DREAM!. I started working with him to try and build something out of nothing but it wasn't working. I turned to him and said "I seem to have a case of stage fright and cannot perform the action" he gave it a shot and couldn't do it either so we just kind of moved objects around for a bit while enjoying the familiar buzz of awareness My fragment dream was me stumbling through this huge building and accidently running into an office with Doctor Who in it (old Scottish actor) I knocked over a picture book and then said sorry and the lady at the front desk looked at it got up and started fixing it so I helped and then the actor came over and I dont remember from there. After this I had a dream where I was at a fair ground and my Mom and little brother and Simon and a couple were with us. Eventually it started raining so we had to get going but we only had the blue Oldsmobile so the first road we tried was blocked off because of flooding and we whipped a U-ey and headed back into oncoming traffic which also turned around and headed back (no idea how) when we got back we jumped in a hot air balloon type device that was pretty open to the elements and actually not to safe. My littlest brother was asleep and I was holding on to him and some of the rigging to try to keep us steady while my mom entered the cockpit trying to fly. We ended up heading straight for the ground and started to skim trees, I was trying to cover my little brothers face but an eyelid got snagged. Nothing bad happened to him but it had me worried. We hit the ground and I asked him if it was okay and he said ya, it was a little red and my have had a scratch on the cornea. The next thing I knew there was a guy talking about how his girlfriend needs to work and my mom who he was talking to (I thought oh sh!t shes a stay at home mom she will be pissed) and sure enough she slapped him lightly and said some thing I dont remember.
So i wanted to experiment wake back to bed and so i did wake up at around 11 am, did some activity, went back again to bed after a hour. i woke up in my room in the dream, i got lucid and i tried to check out my window see whats out there etc, everything looked fine but i kind of lost it there, so i re-entered the lucid dream (false awakening) did some reality check like pushing my finger in my hand and it worked so i was even more sure, so wanted to do something and i lost it again ! well then i had some sleep paralysis, imeddiatly skipped it cus i knew its nothing to be afraid of, and entered again a false awakaening, i think thats my skill now lol,so that time i tried to fly like jump and see if the gravity is life the earth's gravity, it was llower so i could fly higher and .. i decided to try and stabilize this dream, so i open my room door and decided to go outside meet people etc.. in the hall of our appartment my dad was in kitchen as usual doing stuff, but i opened my door and exited the appartment, going down 2 levels opened the door and went outside, it was dark, i tried to change it but i couldnt no wonder why exactly, but thats my longest lucid dream and i think its fine, i found few people to talk with and no wonder why they said we should go to my place, so they rushed there... and i followed but i found 2 ladies in the stairs and i focused on them looking and they were kind of shy so i kind of woke up and entered other dream lol . thats it . atleast i did my task and i think next time it will be easier.
Almost missed recalling this one. I was in a school, me and my brother began wrestling around and next thing we knew, we were in a wooden box of some kind. I kicked out the side of the box and we both were now in a sunny field with a small house behind us. I then realized how strange it was that we were just in a school, and now nowhere near a school anymore and I told my brother we were in a dream. I kept calm and did not lose the dream to "darkness", however I lost my lucidity fairly quickly. I am still happy I had one since my recent long steak of none. I am a little out of practice. There were other dreams as well like me going around a school as a "guard" with a glock 19.
I'm at home and there are people inside the house. I enter the house and go to this room where there are things all over the floor, like someone were in a hurry and just abandoned them there. I look outside through a door (which in real life is actually a window) and everybody is walking back and forth in a transe state, so I know instantly that they are zombies. I turn back and go quickly outside. As I reach the porch I instantly know that I'm dreaming. As usual, for some reason, instead of focusing and stabilizing the dream, I start to jump around trying to be airbourne so I can fly. I almost make it the first time, but then I think "okay just let me check my fingers then", I look at my hand and there are so many fingers, like 10 or so, I start to count them but stop at the count of 7. Then I look at the entrance gate and start running towards it, maybe with speed I can get in the air. As I start running I get the impression that there's someone (probably a zombie) behind me, but I manage to jump over the gate and here we go! I'm flying over fields and even though the flight isn't very stable (I almost go against the tree tops) it's the longest I've ever been in the air. I try to get more speed but it's not going very good. Far ahead I see these hills with big letters on them. I notice the first is an H and I instantly know it's Hollywood. Why? I don't know, it's not a place I'm excited to explore in the dreamworld. Now I start hearing this noise that keeps coming and going, and then I'm suddenly in bed and that noise is my nose whistling everytime I exhale. xD
Black: non-dream Blue: non-lucid Red: lucid Dream 1 - at my ex's house I was at my ex girlfriends house and her friend was with us too. I remember at some point needing to go to the loo and my ex's friend did too... So for some reason we went at the same time because there are multiple toilets in there (don't know why, it seemed normal in the dream). I started taking a leak while she waited, but she started trying to turn me on . Next thing I know she says "come on, just ask me already..." with a lustful tone in her voice. "I know you want to **** me hard" O_O. Uhhh. As she said this another guy who lived in the house walked in (there seemed to be 3 doorways into this loo, the man came in from a door opposite where we entered). I immediately knew he had heard what she'd said, the look on his face was like "ohhh haha I see what's happening", such a cheeky grin. We kind of act like nothings going on though... Then another guy walks in from the 3rd doorway, directly next to the 2nd one. I asked him to put something in the rubbish for me but he just looks at me, throws it back and says "no". I get all pissed off and follow him as he walks off back through the doorway. When I peer through the door I see a guy sitting on the couch, but it wasn't the right guy... He should have been right in front of me but it just wasn't the right dream character. I clicked and realized it was a dream. I don't recall too well what I did but I remember just walking around and thinking about what to do before eventually just waking up. What a waste. Edit: I remembered this halfway through the day, but during this dream while I was walking around I saw a bunch of guys working out, which kind of grossed me out O_O I thought to myself "god damn it why couldn't there be hot chicks working out?". I tried to turn this thought into my will, commanding the dream to summon hot chicks instead of buff guys . And that's how I spent my lucid dream. Dream 2 - Through the mirror to the arcade I have no clue what I was doing prior to becoming lucid, but I clapped my hands in an attempt to stabilize myself. I turned to face a mirror which didn't have my reflection in it, but instead it had a reflection of another mirror which had another mirror in it and another and another... So on so forth. I wanted to go inside it and see where it would take me. So I clapped my hands together again and as I took them apart I 'grabbed' the air and willed the mirror to expand. I then kind of dived/got sucked into the mirrors portal and everything went black. I was in a dark rectangular pit just falling through space. Eventually I saw stars and the pit opened up. This is where it kind of turned into an arcade game. Things started flying towards me and I dodged them, then they came back and I dodged them again... I think they were pixelated skulls? I suddenly had a knife and had to fight off these giant pterodactyl creatures, they flew at me and I slashed them to bits. At some point I was like "I want to change my character and play the game properly" O_O which made no sense and I kind of just lost lucidity around here. Now I'm in a main menu screen just thinking about the different stats I can have, I go into character selection and look at these different race cars. One of them is like a mouse racer, which is weak but fast (the only one I looked at properly). After this I seem to remember being in an alleyway but I forgot the rest.

I've gotten better at WILD, although it took... what... 4 years? I've found I have much more control over the dream and don't run into the "stuck in the dark" issue that plagues my lucid dreams when I gain awareness during a dream. I've been horrible about keeping a dream journal, and today I only remember my 2 WILD lucid dreams and not much else. Very lazy of me. My favorite method for WILD is to explore a specific environment. I have two main fallbacks, two different "home bases". I know a lot of people really want to create a home base. It has been very difficult for me - I had no luck even managing to arrive in my home base for 2 solid years. I think part of it was that my "home" really wasn't a good one and didn't reflect my true personality or needs, and I had to spend a lot of time rearranging and rebuilding it in my head. I have two different ones right now, depending on what I want to accomplish. One is a whimsical home in what looks like the rainforest of the Pacific Northwest, perched on a cliff over the ocean. The other one is a fortress in a rugged landscape that looks a lot like the Grand Canyon, although much more mountainous. LD #1: Woke up. Had to use the bathroom. Went back to bed. Began my visualization of home #1... I was on the sandy beach below the cliff. I walked up and down the beach in my mind, focusing on all of the sensations that would go with it - the sound of the waves, the sound of the wind, the feel of the sand beneath my feet and even the slight whisper it made when I walked. How my footprints looked. The sky and horizon over the ocean, and the smell of salt on the breeze. Eventually, the sound of gulls over the water. I looked back toward my house. There are steep stairs that lead up from the beach to the top of the cliff - they're made from the stones themselves. I walk across the beach to the steps and start climbing upward toward the house. The stones feel solid beneath my feet. By the time I reach the top of the cliff, the dream has solidified into a lucid dream, although it still feels very fragile. I spend some time on the terrace at the top of the cliff looking out across the beach and ocean, and marvel at how beautiful it is. I have a feeling that there are some friends nearby heading toward my house, so I move through the bedroom (which has a door leading to the terrace) and then the kitchen area. Things are fuzzy and I've made the mistake of not stabilizing very well because I'm anxious to greet my friends. I open the front door. The rainforest outside is cool and misty. Wooden steps create a trail upward through the foliage. I can hear their voices in the distance, it sounds like two of them are arguing with each other. Two of my friends appear at the top of the steps and start heading downward... I can still hear the others arguing with each other, although they're still out of sight somewhere further up the trail. All of this is very distracting. The dream is too thin at this point, and it fades. I wake up. LD #2: I wake up naturally. It's early morning... light outside, but earlier than I'd like to get out of bed. I don't really remember the dreams I just had. I lie back and begin another visualization; this time, I'm exploring the fortress. The fortress is a very new idea, interesting and a bit more grim. I wander around through some nondescript rooms... I haven't really developed the place much... and eventually become lucid in an area with ugly lemon yellow walls that really don't look very fortressy. I'm sort of irritated since I'd rather be somewhere more fitting for what I'd like, and more interesting. The hall I'm going down twists and turns but doesn't lead anywhere, and I'm becoming more irritated. I run across a woman wearing a very old-fashioned maid outfit (not like a sexy French maid, think a traditional English maid) but she's very... zombielike. I think I said something to her, and she replied in a monotone. Her eyes were white and milky-looking. I don't like her and don't want to deal with zombies, so I destroy her (with a thought, she basically becomes a blood spatter across the walls and floor). I run across one of the dream characters who'd normally inhabit this fort (he's a general) but everything is foggy so I don't recall any specifics about him... I need to work on him a little more... and complain about the zombie. He tells me that he and another dream character zombified all of the inhabitants and servants in the fortress when they took it over, so they wouldn't have to deal with any opposition by them but the fortress was kept running and in pretty decent repair. He doesn't care much about convenience and upkeep for himself - he doesn't need that stuff - but the way he sees it, it's more convenient for me. It's sort of evil and disturbing, but it IS something I'd expect that character to do, and he does have a good point. This wasn't something I came up with myself... I was a little surprised by it, actually. I still don't really like the zombies, but I don't want to argue with that particular dream character very much - he's very stubborn - so I let the zombie thing slide. As I head toward the main door that leads outside of the fortress, the dream falls apart and I wake up.
Black: non-dream Blue: non-lucid Red: lucid Dream 1 - Skating on water I recall skateboarding around (I don't skate at all IRL) a platform of concrete stairs by the coast with a couple of people. The sky's filled with dark rain clouds and I see some viking-like boats by the nearby shore. I forgot most of what happened until eventually me and a friend come back to this area. We're in a hurry to stop one of the viking boats floating away. The sky is pouring down as I bolt down the stairs towards the shore, I spot a skateboard left by one of the people I had been skating with earlier (I believe his name is TK or TJ). I spot TK still skating around, he sees me snatch up one of his boards and follows to see what we're up to. I jump onto the board and bolt towards the shore. I'm still going forward even as I reach the water, which my board just absolutely glides across from the momentum of the speed I had build up reaching there. I see another board in the water and do a trick onto it.. But it failed and I kind of just slip and continue on with the whole waterboarding thing. In my head I think to myself that it's okay because my friend behind me will need a board to keep up with me on. We reach the ship and just start like.. Doing something? I don't know... We did something and everything was okay. I remember saying something like "oh no, I can see the gorilla, he's nearby so we have to hurry". Behind the boat maybe 50m away was a silverback gorilla just casually walking around. But now I noticed the sea level was rising so we head off. I should probably describe the shore a bit better, there are lots of rocky outcrops in the area which poke out of the water, it's a smooth red-brown hard rock too. We head over to some of these rocks following someone who seemed to know the way. What we end up doing is akin to some serious rock-climbing on slippery surfaces. We climb around the rocky area, I distinctly remember how detailed and vivid the place was. It was pretty incredible. I remember the pools of water rippling as the rain hit the surface. But at some point I saw that the gorilla was climbing with us at the back of the group (the guy in the front was some buff dude who reminded me of a martial arts master, then it was me, and behind me was my friend who was a bit slower. At the very back was the gorilla). I felt and saw the hand of the gorilla as I realized it was getting closer, but I ended up waking. Dream 2 - Lucid in Waiwera I remember just walking down a wooden walkway, my feeling was that I was in Waiwera. The walkway wasn't long (about 15m in front of me it ended), to the right of which there was a white beach house with a blue roof. To the left were a couple palm trees, beyond which was a mudflat during low tide. Ahead of me I saw my old friend Aaron, I don't know what was going on but in my head I keep thinking that he was on a tricycle but I just can't seem to remember it. Anyways... As I was walking I just knew that it was a dream. I had the option to continue in the dream state or become aware and take control. I decided to take control and pushed my mind into an aware state, it felt like a struggle but the transition was interesting. I then proceeded to walk around, looked at my hands, clapped to solidify the lucidity and then walked again. I then tripped up and ended up in a crab like stance, trying to hold onto the dream... I then woke up pretty amazed I got lucid (since I haven't been able to recall any dreams over the past few days).
