When I was little, one of my favourite stories was the famous "Lost City of Atlantis." So I thought to myself, why not try to find this place during a lucid dream. So, here's my account of yesterday's attempt: The sky was gloomy and darkness encompassed the vast ocean beneath it. I was in a small dingy boat paddling as hard as possible against the mighty waves generated by the powerful wind. Lightning flashed in 2-3 second intervals which actually did the job of illuminating this landscape. I figured if I paddled long enough I would reach some sort of land eventually, so I carried on doing just that. Moments later I saw a huge, huge shadow passing beneath the dingy - made obvious by the intense lightning overhead. I began to notice that the water around the boat started to sink downwards into this shadow and soon enough a large mouth emerged from where the shadow was located, and shallowed the entire dingy and me along with it. What happened next felt like one of those rides you get in theme parks. I realised that I was probably inside a whale's mouth. The sheer force of water pushed me towards the back- there was an immense waterfall at this end of its mouth because it led to the whale's stomach. Desperately trying to avoid becoming whale food, I held tightly onto one of its taste buds, which was soft and cushiony. At this moment, a huge pressure that was building up forced me towards the blowhole and I was blown out of the whale with extreme force. As I fully regained consciousness I saw it before my eyes. The lost city of Atlantis. Sadly I woke up shortly after this. Hopefully I can go back tonight.
I was playing real life cod on a city like map, but then the map became cold and I headed for a waterfall. I saw my highschool running coach then I was getting washed away by a wave in a neighborhood and saw my uncle surfing, and the twins just hanging around. phase 2:at school parking lot in a minivan with Brian J, Druggies are outside the car a few spaces away in a circle and moshing air and stomping around randomly?
NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID FALSE AWAKENING PRECOG 21:30 GMT – sleep Bird-fish A little orphan bird transforms into a fish and I help hit learning how to breathe inside the water. Left behind by an Indian On my way to catch a bus on a terminal. Being guided by an Indian guy who disappears in the crowd. Then I don’t know which bus I have to take. After some walking around I find him (who now is a she, dressed in a sari), on some bus stop. I ask why he/she disappeared and she replies she thought I had seen where she was going – in her eyes I could see she couldn’t care less if I’d find her or not. The Samsara allegory Hiking with my BF, we encounter a waterfall. The rock walls around are very white and I see some niches were people have left incense, jewels and candles. Behind the waterfall, a bit to the left is a tunnel, which looks like an entrance to a metallic bunker inside the rock. My BF decides to check it but I prefer going to see these niches on the right side of the waterfall. For that I have to escalate the rock, for there is no path and I end up falling on the water, which fortunately is just one meter under me. I climb up the rock a bit further down river and find a shop, precisely selling incense, candles and some artwork of spiritual inspiration. I spend some time there admiring some objects but then realise my BF is not coming back from the tunnel, so I decide to go after him. I follow the tunnel and end up in a place from where a few corridors go in different directions. I go into one of the corridors and see more corridors and many many doors. I realise I will easily get lost if I don’t use something to mark my way. So I go back and then come with something to write signs on the walls. After just a few corridors I encounter some guy and I ask him how big is this maze. He seems to be a pro and he tells me for an experienced person it takes 4 to 5 hours to find the exit, but if one is naïve it can get stuck there for ages. He tells me inside the maze we are assaulted by all kinds of hallucinations that makes us forget why we went there in the first place. I tell him I’m just looking for my BF and I will keep that in mind. But next corridor, when I am alone, I am already experiencing hallucinations. The corridor is totally submerged by a sudden torrent of water. Surprisingly I can breathe under water, but then a group of sharks appear and they start biting me. They are not big, but they still hurt me as hell, and there’s blood all over. I am feeling desperate but then I see some turbine on the wall, I turn it on and they are sucked and shredded into pieces. Then the water disappears and I remember it’s all an illusion and keep going my way. I then come across a school. The teacher seems more like a military instructor and all the students are adults but are terrified as kids. Someone pushes me inside the classroom and makes me sit on a table. Then the teacher puts a test in front of me and I look at the questions and they make absolutely no sense. I could be there for ages and I would never get it right. But I’m told I will only be allowed to leave this place when I have answered correctly to all of them. I realise that could take eons! I see on the table my BF name carved, which gives me hope – he has been there! And he escaped to somewhere! Then I am planning my own escape, which doesn’t seem so difficult – after all it is only a classroom. But someone tells me that running away will activate some maze cops which will hunt me down and bring me back. I manage to escape but I had to keep on the move or the cops would find me. After exiting the school I encountered job "areas". Like some postal delivery company or a paper factory. This one almost got me, because as soon as we would enter these areas, they would catch us, make us work and after a while we would not remember having done anything else in life. I saw people working there and their boss yelling at them because the red paper sheets had 1 or 2 mm more than the standard measure and they had to do it all over again. And these people were totally obsessed and worried about this as if there was nothing else that mattered. I slipped through an then I passed by a gym. I saw lots of totally fit people working out really hard, suffering enormously, and their instructor kept saying “You’re still fat! You sit all day on your desks and you get fatter and fatter. Keep burning those calories!” And they all looked just fine, so I thought “This is nuts, they don’t recall anymore that this is just an elaborate hoax, a mind trick. They totally forgot where they came from and think this is all there is.” I saw cops a few times, but I learned about backdoors and shortcuts between different maze areas, so I managed to avoid them. At some point I encountered a small group of people who were aware of the nature of this place, but they’ve been stuck there for so long that they lost some perspective. They didn’t know anymore they just needed to be aware of the hallucination and look for the exit, so they had come up with all sorts of stories on how to escape it. There was a guy totally obsessed about turnips! He had concluded in his life that some turnips with strange shapes, had magical properties and if he got the right amount and combination of them, he would be able to prepare some kind of magical elixir that would free him from the maze. He insisted that I tasted a turnip he had just found. He cut a slice and offered it to me. It was just a bland raw turnip. I wanted to help them, but they were so deluded and I was on a mission to find my BF, so I kept going. By now I had everybody after me: cops, school teacher, gym instructor, bosses... I hadn’t found my BF but I was close to the exit, so I decided to just leave before they’d get me. I was cornered on a shop with plates and bowls and other kitchenware, but I could see a corridor that would leave me to the exit, just a few metres away. I threw plates at them as they were slowly closing me in, but they finally caught me. They grabbed my arms and legs and they abused me physically in all sorts of ways, from violence to sexual harassment. In the end I started bloating like a balloon and the gym instructor was laughing devilishly and saying “See, you didn’t work out, now you’re fat! You need to go to the gym!”. But I never forgot about exiting the maze. I kept seeing the door on my mind. I kept visualizing it. Imagining geting closer and closer and then an emergency exit just materialized on the wall in front of me. I remember feeling their grip a bit looser and thinking about running to the door and then I woke up. 5:20 GMT
I was on vacation. It was night time, and I was walking along the shore of a beach. I was looking for seashells, but it was hard to see. Someone was walking alongside the beach with me, and they fell into the sand and we discovered a cave beneath the shore. There was someone living in it. It was the next day, or the next dream, and I was outside the hotel. Behind the hotel there was a clear river with a very fast current. It was very shallow, but because the current was so fast, it was hard to maintain grasp without falling over. People had put patio chairs in the river and were having breakfast. About 20 feet from the beginning of the river / backside of hotel was an extremely steep drop off to a waterfall. Many youngsters were sliding off from the current and falling from the waterfall, but it was all in fun and no one was getting hurt. I wanted to try. I slid up to the edge of the waterfall and looked down. Holy Shit. The drop off was a good mile or so. "Stop staring and just slide down! And try not to bring the damn chairs with you!" A man yelled. I looked over, and a chair was sliding down the current with me, about to fall into the waterfall. I let go of my grip, and the current took me away. Because the current was strong in the beginning, it sort of propelled me from the waterfall. ^ Crude Paint drawing. My path of fallingness is in red. Before I fell back into the path of the falling water, the free falling sensation was amazing. Once my path aligned with the path of the waterfall, I could no longer breathe. Water was falling in on me from all directions, leaving no room for air. The drop was about 20 seconds, and I hit the misty water like a rock. It hurt. Really bad. Not for kids. Seriously. Later that day, I was in my 6th hour. We had a substitute, and I was telling him about how I jumped from a really high waterfall. I told him that the fall was around 20 seconds (When I woke up, I used that to calculate the height of the waterfall. It turned out to be around 1.21 miles high, about twice as high as Angel Falls - the highest waterfall on Earth. My estimate seems about right as the clouds were only about 100-200 feet above me in the dream). My waterfall would be about twice the height of that The substitute teacher immediately looked interested in what I was telling him. He told me that the waterfall I jumped off of was Mayayuka (or something, it started with an M). He gave me a book about 'realization' and told me to read it. I sat down, and on the first page it said something like, "One must achieve awareness by doing things that they fear, by taking chances, and overcoming obstacles. Go back to the waterfall, and truly face your fears." I told Shay that I was going to jump off of a waterfall. I asked if he wanted to come with me. He responded with a "Hell no." I ran back to the waterfall. The top of the cliff had changed a little, so that there was no longer a hotel but just a dirt path. Two girls I know were at the path talking. "You're going to jump off of that?" She asked, pointing to the waterfall that was rushing beside us. "Yes. I am." The two girls moved out of my way and I stood at the top of the waterfall, looking down. Oh god, this thing got taller. Waaaaaaaay beneath me were little pine trees and a calm turquoise lake. Even though the waterfall was over a mile high, misty water seemed to still float up to the top where I was standing. I could practically see around the world from here. I was only about 100 feet below the base of the clouds. I decided to take a running jump. I didn't want to look down while I jumped. I was afraid of heights. I closed my eyes, and ran towards the end of the cliff and into the waterfall. And, for a moment, I was free falling in the air without the pressure of the waterfall above me. It only lasted for a quick moment before I fell into the waterfall's path again and water slapped and shook my body as I continued to fall down for about 20 seconds. I hit the water again, it hurt of course, and went underwater many feet until I gradually swam to the surface.
Dream starts off at Lake Whittaker, the trailer park my parents frequent in the summer on the weekends. There is a forest behind their trailer and I am there with my mom having an argument about shopping or something. She said she was going to take me shopping for several weekends but when the time comes she makes some excuse and never follows through. We argue for a while and she finally agrees to take me shopping and we follow a path through the forest behind the trailer that leads to an outdoor store selling mainly office supplies, but also some dollar store odds and ends. I become upset because I am pacing the aisles looking for something specific and cannot find it. My mom is getting upset and wants to leave but I absolutely refuse to leave until I find what I am looking for, which turns out to be shoes and accessories for my Barbie doll (even though in the dream I think to myself "I'm almost 30 years old. What do I need Barbie doll shoes for?") After paying for the toys and returning to the trailer I become upset again because the shoes we bought were the wrong onee and I want to exchange them but my mom has had enough of shopping and tells me that I have to go exchange them myself. I walk back along the path to the outdoor store and find it deserted and many of the aisles are a mess like someone has been violently rummaging through the items and tossing them about. I decide that I am just going to leave the old package and take the new one when just then I hear things being scattered about in one of the far aisles. Upon investigation I find a large black bear knocking things off the shelves and scattering things about. It is growling and foaming at the mouth but thankfully doesn't see me because it's back it turned. I run towards the path in the forest but that catches the attention of the black bear which then starts chasing me. A dryer maching has appeared in the middle of the forest path and I jump inside of it and slam the door shut. It is sturdy and thick enough that the bear cannot get inside and it eventually loses interest and takes off into the forest. I slowly and quietly make my way along the forest path trying not to draw attention to myself lest I come across the bear again. The path back to my parent's trailer seems much longer than before and in the middle of it a wide, shallow river has appeared. There are minature houses built along the water's edge and a waterfall nearby. On the path across the river I see something dark lumber across and think it is the black bear waiting for me so I throw myself into the river out of fear and let myself go over the waterfall. The dream ends there.

Morning of October 3, 1972. Tuesday. My dream only involves one main scene over time. An unfamiliar and unknown man is somehow hanging, though horizontally oriented, from within a waterfall, protruding outward from above the waist. There seems to be no indication he is actually hanging onto anything (which at any rate would have to somehow be by his feet). His arms are forward and out as he remains somehow suspended in the waterfall face down, fairly close to where the waterfall begins at the top, as if he was perhaps somehow stuck in rocks from below the waist within the waterfall itself. I get the impression that the scene is being broadcast as a televised special news bulletin (a sparsely recurring situation mostly only in certain childhood dreams). The waterfall is fairly high but narrow. The scene is oriented to where I am seeing the waterfall primarily from the side (but not fully from the side, probably with a thirty degree horizontal rotation towards me), with the water flowing over to my right. I seem to be incorporeal and hovering near the scene (and I do not feel threatened or concerned). There does not seem to be any backstory indicating how this situation may have happened. Something about the scene seems very puzzling and wrong (in the sense of its plausibility) but I cannot discern what it is. I keep watching the scene and there is no recall of directly waking. If this were my dream, and it is, I would know that water is autosymbolism for the absence of emotion and the essence of sleep and unconsciousness as evidenced by virtually countless commercial recordings that utilize the sound of water for relaxation and sleep inducement, not to mention that water induction is my most common form of dream state initiation, having occurred at least once per normal sleeping period for over fifty years. I would understand that autosymbolism would likely be rendering the thought, “I think I would like to remain in sleep longer”, thus sustaining it as a man being halfway within a waterfall when circadian rhythms dictate the waking transition and despite the dominant variant of otherwise very common water lowering waking symbolism. I would also realize that I am subliminally attempting to control vestibular system ambiguity (which naturally occurs in REM sleep) by “holding” the illusory avatar in one position within water (sleep) to block the otherwise natural falling sensation or waking start. I might question the intelligence or motive of someone who cannot understand the indispensable distinction between subliminal threads of the conscious self identity focusing on and attempting to hold onto, prolong, or vivify the dream state and the incomplete evanescent dream self attempting to recall or discern waking life.
