    1. Rainbow Asian

      by , 11-17-2010 at 03:42 PM
My dream was about an asian girl beginning with black hair that I was viewing 3rd person. She came to my residence and started having seizures. Her hair would slowly change into all the colors of the rainbow, and took on the texture of a mop. Her mother came by and took her away for a year. After the year was up, her mother made her return and sell some products, to make money and come to terms with what had happened. The asian girl immideately starting having seizures again when she returned. Then I woke up.

    3. meditation hero, hoop cat, sudden storm

      by , 11-17-2010 at 01:41 PM
Good morning, everybody. My dream recall has been terrible over the past couple days. It's probably because I've spent hours each night watching all the different versions of RC Succession's Transistor Radio on YouTube. Hitto kyoku!

So these entries will be pretty fragmented.

      Dream #1

I was watching a scene like a theatre production or a large-scale movie as if I were actually in the environment without participating in it.

The scene focused on a woman who stood atop an enormous, colorful temple, which was somehow inside a much larger building. The temple was as colorful as a Buddhist or Hindu painting. It was decorated to the last inch with beautiful flowers in plates and vases. There may even have been colorful foods decorating the tables.

The woman walked out of a room at the top of the temple, turned right, then sat on her knees on a cushion, facing the wall to the left (her left) of the doorway. (The doorway and the top room looked more like in a Mayan temple, not a Hindu or Buddhist painting.) My view was from behind, above, and just to the left of the woman.

The woman didn't look normal. She was probably a dark blue. She probably didn't have a complete form. Her body may have had a stony look, like Jack Kirby's version of the Fantastic Four's The Thing, except with a feminine figure. She may also have had chakra markings delineated on her somehow.

The woman was breaking some kind of law or rule by meditating. Apparently meditation was forbidden. So now there was a group of high officials heading out to capture and arrest the woman. But there was also a group of men who had taken it upon themselves to protect the woman. She was a hero to them, possibly because her meditation had some kind of power.

I was now among the group of men, acting as a part of the group, not just watching. The men looked big and tough. One of them may have looked like Russell Crowe.

We stood at the bottom of the temple, before a beige-colored stone gate. But it also felt like we were standing in a messy living room.

I was happy to be helping the men. But I was also afraid. I was afraid of getting hurt by the officials. But I was also afraid of looking stupid with my usual clumsy actions. I may have said something regarding all this. The man who looked like Russell Crowe may have looked at me in disgust.

      Dream #2

I was in my great-grandmother's living room. The room was filled with dim, yellowy light. The floors were strewn with sheets and blankets.

I was with a few other people, possibly co-workers. We had just finished some task. Now we had to go to another task. But we had to change our clothes first. We were all running around to different rooms, as if playing a game, looking for the new clothes to wear.

I was in my great-grandma's guest room (which us kids would sleep in when we'd spend nights at her house). I was taking off my pants or putting new pants on when I noticed that C, a guy from my work, was in the living room. I could see him from the bedroom because the walls now, apparently, only went up to about my waist.

I thought C was going to accuse me of not doing any work because I was in the middle of changing my pants. I thought I would explain to him that changing my pants was actually a part of my job.

But suddenly a cat with a black body and white belly and paws jumped down through the circle my arms were making with the pants. C was amazed by what the cat had done. I was amazed, too. It seemed so random that the cat would jump down through my arms like they were a hoop.

Either I or C may have wondered if the cat had been trained to do that.

      Dream #3

I was out on a street corner across the street from "my apartment building." It actually looked like the street corner at the beginning of Youth without Youth, except with really wide streets, as if the streets were somehow an entire horizon.

There were a lot of young men and women out on the street with me. They were all beautiful and well-dressed.

I had thought that this might have been a bad time for me to go out and do whatever it was I needed to do. Either it had been too early or the sky had been too dark due to clouds or else the clouds in the sky had been presaging a storm.

But now I looked up into the sky to watch it clear smoothly into wispy, white clouds. I was amazed. But I also had that inconvenienced feeling, like when you realize that you now have to do something for sure, no excuses. I thought that if everybody knew how lazy I was about getting moving, they'd dislike me.

I was about to cross the street with everybody else. But the sky suddenly clouded over heavily. It looked worse than rain: it looked like a terriible storm.

I crossed the street back toward my house instead of heading in everybody else's direction (which would have been crossing to the corner caddy-corner from my house). It was already beginning to rain.

I thought something like how lucky I was to be so close to my place, especially because I hadn't brought an umbrella with me. My building was a beautiful, peach-colored, stone building.

I remembered that there was a woman who lived in my apartment with me. I knew she was planning to go outside for something she had to do. I thought I would warn her not to come out. The sky was almost black. It looked like the storm would be terrible.

But I knew the woman would go out anyway to do her thing. I may have thought that I would at least offer her my umbrella.
    4. The Cannabis Commandments

by , 11-17-2010 at 12:33 PM (The Nomad Chronicles)
I make trees grow out from Castle Cannabis terraforming Mars in the shape of LOL. I laugh heartily at the sight. The Care Bears frolic in the trees. I laugh so hard, I feel I am almost mocking myself. Strange this third person dream thing.

      Hmm....

Ah yes. The Cannabis Commandments. I grab a grey slab of rock and a black stone, and scrawl thusly:

      1) Everybuddy must get stoned.

      2) Just kidding. You can do whatever you want. Except, no harming the... anything. that's about it. yeah. that's it. Have fun!

I swing the slab around like a discus and aim it at a mountain so my words will be forever engraved, and toss the slab! The slab disintegrates, turning to dust. I shrug.

The aliens, well, native Martians, (not native to the planet, but living there a long time) fly around in saucers and blast the crap out of my slab.) Then, I turn into a Minotaur and run away. The aliens catch me in tractor beam. I decide I am going to mess with them. I let them beam me aboard. The put light beam straps around me, and put me on a table. I make myself smaller, breaking the contact with the light beams. Then, I teleport off the table, summon a trident and roar.

Little aliens appear from the ceiling on silver cords like a spider's web, hanging upside down. They shoot weird guns at me, like web. I stomp my hoof, and they all fall to the ground.

      ***

Suddenly I am playing myself in a video game. It's 1985. I am in Tacoma, playing a coin-op video game/pinball machine. You have to get the Minotaur out of a maze on the CRT screen. The pinball part is the aliens. The ball gets stuck in the machine. The spaceship rocks.

I vibrate at a higher frequency. I bash myself into the sides of the ship.

This time I am a skinny dude in my 20's looking like I am 16. I am playing Guantlet Legends. I am the Warrior. I am slaying orcs. WTF IS GOING ON DON JUAN.

don Juan's hollow laughter rings throughout the dream. I am suddenly in misty swamp.

I see the wall of the Castle of Morpheus.

NO! don Juan shouts as if reading my thoughts.

"On the other side of that wall... is NOTHING.'

      "That's exactly what I want."

      "Liar, we all have desire."

"I am curious to see what nothing feels like."

"It's beyond your comprehension, you fool."

I run toward the wall. The closer I get, the farther away and larger the wall gets. If I walk away, it gets tinier. So tiny the size of a pin, I realize there is no way in. THAT WALL. damn, you wall.

Suddenly, I am ripped into another dimension. I feel like all my atoms are being smashed to bits. I scream, but the scream is the sound of my matter being blasted apart. Each particle of me get smashed into smaller and smaller particles, until some are so tiny, so close to zero, it's terrifying. But, I can never get to zero, just as I can never get to infinity, for it's all within we.

Suddenly golden cloudly animals dance across my vision...

      a giraffee.. a warthog... a baboon...

I wake up... those are not clouds, those are animals kicking up dust in the Savanna. I am at once a tall African hunter and a lion. I smash the dreams together and make myself a were-lion.

I tell don Juan I am done, and lie down to sleep.

I am on the Moon. don Juan is there.

You just drank DREAM KAVA, FOOL. IT'S 1000X stronger in dreams. I told you. You wouldn't listen.

      "I had a terrific experience."

Don't you see? Dream drugs are as real as Dream Characters.... unless you get them from a dream plant, because those my friend are real. They are literally ALIVE.

    5. The Scythe

      by , 11-17-2010 at 10:34 AM
This is my first lucid dream post.

Last night I entered a dream consciously from sleep paralysis. I was laying on my side and remembered reading about hearing noises when going in from sleep paralysis. I heard a loud ringing noise and there was a lot of pressure on my body, and it went an almost dark for what seemed like a minute. Then I could start to make out images, and those images became a field. I was running with someone who I was competing with for some reason, and we were both holding a sickle in one hand. I was aware of them manipulating the sickle into a scythe and tried my hardest to do the same. It took me a lot of attempts of moving my hand really fast over the sickle and looking away repeatedly, but I managed to elongate the sickle into something similar to the other persons. It had a rubber grip on it with a black metal base and the blade part looked like chipped bone. Right before we joined a battle, I was holding the scythe op in the air, and then woke up. I've been remembering pieces of the dream all day.

    6. World Reality Merging

      by , 11-17-2010 at 10:10 AM
The past two nights I've had complicated lucid dreams, that I only remember in fragments. I'm not remembering to remain motionless when I wake up, and every move I make weakens my memory of the dreams. They are very weirdly disjointed dreams that possibly mark different brain modes and rhythms. Or possibly just minor adjustments of my head while asleep?

I was in a multi-storied apartment building crossed with a community center. It had vibrant red checkered floors and lots of friendly people. I was with ex-girlfriends off and on. And I was also with a group of friends and family. At some point I was lucid and started to fly. I vaguely remember a flying Disneyland style tea cup! I was using it to fly others around with me. I also remember passing through "a rip in the dreamscape."

To my horror, I remember very little about the events leading up to the fantastic conclusion:

I was standing in front of my Mother and Ex-girlfriend. I was holding a cylindrical rod in my hands. I asked them in a somewhat smug tone: "Do you like how I merged the dream world with the real world, permanently?"

I remember they were reclined with drinks, looking very comfortable in the luxury high rise apartment I was standing in. I remember reviewing in my mind the portals that merged the "two worlds." The rod was about 1-ft long, made of fine grain wood, and had two silvery caps on each end. Similar in shape to a pipe bomb.
    7. Farting at bands that play sheit music is funny!!

      non-dream - non-lucid - lucid

17/11/10 I decided to go back to bed anyways and managed to sneak in another lucid. Albeit an extremely non-productive and boring one. I was in some sort of public institution and my intuition told me it was educational, like a university or high school and I was lucid pretty much from the word go (I was sleeping very lightly at all times and the build-up of the dream reminded me, sans the conscious awareness prior to the dream, of a WILD experience in the beginning, the way the scene went from randomly organised images gradually towards an integrated scene with plot.)

A few friends and I were heading down the hall towards a concert. I didn't really feel like I had the energy to start taking full control of the dream and I feared I would wake up if I attempted it so I only made minor adjustments, like jumping from table to table a bit long. I even did try flying but had no success, although I did manage to at one point follow along running on the walls of the lower level of the tunnel. It wasn't gravity alteration it was more me keeping a telekinetic pressure towards the ground to keep me in position. I sort of just decided to go with the plot and see what would happen, and as we got to the concert it turned out that it was a Nik and Jay event... groovy... or... something. In any case we took place on the high grounds and mainly sat chatting away. One of the artists came up and joined in on the laughter, which he was aware was directed at the band he was in. At a certain point in a song, which both included a slight break in the music and a rather obscene video shot of a bloody (literally!!) anus up close, I farted to the amusement of the people around me as they gradually found out that it was not an inherent aspect of the song. I didn't actually do it on purpose and to be fair I think it was my physical body doing it, which would also explain the slow realisation rate of myself and DCs in the immediate vicinity. I woke up.

    8. November 15 - November 16 2010 - Confusing Dreams

      by , 11-17-2010 at 09:17 AM (Shinoda's Dream Journal)
Alright, I had 2 dreams last night. here it goes.

I was having a long conversation with a girl I know. All I remember is that we were talking and out of nowhere she started doing sexual things to me and we started doing it. I will spare you all the details.

I woke up afterward, went to the washroom and went back to bed. At this point I had a second dream.

I think I was babysitting one of my nieces in some sort of cottage. I don't remember much besides having to flick a switch on what I think was a stereo system to let a giant lochness monster like thing come out of a cage and swim around a nearby lake for a few minutes and then flick the switch again to make him go back in. I noticed the air felt more fresh INSIDE the cabin when the monster was out. Fresh like... being on the side of a lake. The kind of nature smell you get by a body of water in a forest.

There's also a dream segment I'm not sure where it would fit in. I don't know if it was from one of those dreams or a separate dream of it's own. It involves watching porn in a bathroom on a DvD Player attached to a boom box?!?!

I guess I had sex and monsters on the mind last night.

    9. First Lucid

      by , 11-17-2010 at 08:59 AM
It began in space, like a commercial space holiday. I was in a dark room, with about 7 other people. I had this piece of paper that looked like an origami sheet, so I folded it up and found out that it made a long staff. one one end there was a green lazer and a bright light and on the other end there was a red lazer and an infinate parma-violet shooter. (little purple sweets that taste like perfume.) Then I was back on earth and I still had my staff which I intended to keep forever. We went into what looked like a school but was actually the headquaters of the space holiday thing, I began pushing a big trolley through it and then suddenly I was in space again. This time I had some fun with the staff and turned into a ninja sort of thing.
Then I went into sleep paralysis. I managed to get out of it fairly quickly though, strait into a false awakening. So I jumped around my bedroom like a ninja with the staff, shooting out parma-violets.
Then I went into another false awakening. But this one was very clear and vivid. I went and looked in the bathroom and noticed the light switch didnt work but I ignored it. Then I noticed the whole bathroom looked completely different, but told myself we must have redecorated. Then I looked in the mirror and noticed I had 3 sets of top teeth, all ontop of each other. I had braces as well, for some reason. I knew I was dreaming from the start but just ignored it. I decided that after my reflection I should do a reality check so I did, neither of them worked really well but at this moment I reasised I must be dreaming. So I ran up to the nearest window, smashed it and flew out so fast that it felt awesome. But then the dream faded to white.
I went downstairs to tell everyone I had had a lucid dream...Then reaslised I was having ANOTHER false awakening. Then I woke up for real.

I've been having consistent lucids though and have been continuing in my dedication and progress to cultivating dream state awareness! Hope everybody has also been enthusiastic in pursuing this common goal.. have awesome lucids tonight!

Goal of the week: Get on DV and record all the LD's I've had since my last post, plus a good memorable dream or two with insights.

by , 11-17-2010 at 08:10 AM (Somewhere Over The Rainbow)
Watching my art slide show just before bed and it triggered a memory that I dreamt about flying, but I have no idea when. I always do this the same way in dreams. I pump my hands up and down, as if they're wings or something. Then I fly. I'm usually doing it to escape someone or something. Can't remember if that was the case this time, but I think there were people there while I was doing it.

      Anyway, some random dream art.....

    13. Dreams of Nov. 15th

      by , 11-17-2010 at 07:35 AM
I fell asleep listening to music as normal. Some songs made it into my dreams that I recall. So I was in my house, and talking to my brother maybe a bit, I was showing him a song though (which was playing) I got through the whole song, and it was playing through a cupboard in my kitchen. The song was "As I Went Out One Morning" I was just standing there, thinking abut the song as we listened. I'm not sure If he said he liked it or not. Then the second song came on "The Simple Story" And my brother was singing this song, I was surprised how much he sounded like the actual singer(He is good with impressions in real life.). I didn't even know he heard the song before(Probably hasn't). So yeah that was it, still in the kitchen. ALSO, these songs may have made it into my dream, it seems awful familiar(I looked back at the songs that played and they rang a bell) "Eight Days a Week" and "Crocodile Rock" seems quite familiar, that order and all, but I'm not really sure,

Second dream. This one was war themed. I am not sure at the order to much of this, so I'll just list it.
-I was at my old house, and it was getting attacked. There was like a resistance in the house, and people all out front and stuff. I think at some point I had to open the door because a friendly was outside.
-Some soldier wanted a promotion, and he listed all these reasons why he should get one (He had piece of paper outlining it all). One of the reasons was that this one guy was already promoted, way long ago, and he(the guy wanting to get promoted) deserves it more.
-There was the flame-thrower from Worms: Armageddon. It worked exactly the same, but was first person.
-There was training, and there were a bunch of shelve units with different weapons backpacks etc. Once you stopped at one, you had to use it properly or whatever. At some point this place got attacked, and we failed (maybe it was a test?) so we had to try again, I dove and grabbed a shotgun properly.
-There was a camp, a Sargent or something arrived there. The soldiers were drunk (they'd been drinking anyways)
-I was walking my dog, and it seemed everything came up so I couldn't walk him. Like I couldn't climb the path or something. I arrived at the top of a hill, and a guard tower told me I had to turn around. The ground was scorched.
-there was like a boss fight at the end.

    14. Dreams of Nov. 14th

      by , 11-17-2010 at 07:21 AM
The first one, I was in some store, which had different kinds of shirts and hats. There was people from my school there on a field trip or something. I was trying on a hat, which was maybe blue, with green kid of stringy glove thing on the top. It was hard to take the hat off. I left the store for awhile and realized I hadn't taken the hat off, so I had to go and return it.

Second dream. I wish I could remember more than I do. It was a movie and/or book. It took place on a boat. There were only 2 people on this boat. One was played by Cate Blanchett, and there was one other. There was a storm at some point. And these 2 characters kissed. They had been on this ship quite awhile. I remember drawing scenes from this movie/book. I drew some eyes really well, and looking well, but some others I had trouble with. It ended up well though. It was really easy to draw well, it just worked. The story ended with someone on a boat(like a row boat) setting off to sea, because they were kicked out of their house. I had to answer some questions about this story. One was something like: "Do you believe these characters were young in the story?" I believed the person on the boat at the end was Cate Blanchett's character beforehand, and how she ended up sailing the seas. But I believed both characters were most likely the same age.

This next dream I dont remember fully, and it was a couple nights ago. All I remember was there was this guy in a gas mask asking me questions, or I was asking him questions.
