The dream starts off with me and a couple of my friends spending time on the terrace of my house. After a long day, we had decided to cool off just resting and talking to each other. After a while we hear a commotion on the streets a little away from my house. My friends look over the parapet wall trying to catch a glimpse. I climb up a ladder and go on top of the small room on the terrace to get a better view. We see a procession, a march of sorts on the street with elephants and few other animals. We start to enjoy it when the elephants just go mad and start running wildly everywhere. The people nearby scatter to find some shelter, but just ended up coming under the feet of the stampeding pachyderms. Few of the elephants start running towards my building with people running ahead of them trying to escape. I climb down as quickly as I can and start going downstairs to try and help them out. But as I descend the stairs and approach the gates, I see an elephant right in front of the gate staring at me, with wild rage in its eyes and a strange marking on its forehead. Without waiting for it to charge, I just double back on myself and run up the stairs, back to the terrace. As I make it up there, we hear screams from all sorts of animals making their way towards my house. Suddenly, we see an old lady jumping from roof to roof and coming towards us from our left. Before we can figure anything out, she’ll be on our terrace. My friends just backed away from where she landed but I just keep staring at her. Then she starts walking up to me, oblivious to all that is happening, with a sense of urgency and a hint of desperation in her eyes. She just grabs my hand and starts speaking in a trance-like state of a prophecy yet to be fulfilled and of forces out to get me no matter the consequences. I’ll be trying to figure out what she’s saying when a friend spots a hot-air balloon right on top of our building. The old lady breaks her trance with this and looks up at the balloon. She notices an insignia on it, same as the strange marking on the elephant and tells, “They’re here.” Just then we hear a bird’s screech nearby. I look down and see a giant Emu-like bird on the street just a little away from where the elephant stood. It had a long sharp beak like that of a Toucan and a pelican-like neck with strong sturdy legs. But the elephant seemed to have disappeared as well as the hot-air balloon above. The bird seemed to be searching for something and just then it looks up and at me. It’ll give another shrill screech and jumps up onto some railings of the building opposite to mine and in the second leap onto our terrace. My friends all scream and start running away as I look for something to defend myself. I’ll find a piece of wood lying near me and as I try to get it, the bird lunges at me. I dive forward and pick up the piece of wood at the same time and turn just in time to see the bird lunging at me again. I dodge it shift to my right. Now I’m face-to-face with this beast with nothing but a piece of wood to defend myself. My friends manage to get down but the old lady will be standing just a little away. The bird keeps trying to jab me with its long beak which I try to dodge as much or parry it with the piece of wood. Once I manage to get a good strike at the bird’s beak which makes it lose its balance and topples to my left. I seize the moment and lunge at it from my right. I get on top of the bird pinning it down while laying a big strike on its head. It’ll still be struggling to get free when I hold its head and beak and twist it hard with all my strength till I hear a snap and the bird stops struggling. I’ll be staring down at the bird taking in the magnitude of what I’d just done, unable to believe what just happened. I get off the bird and come to the old lady for some explanations. But the lady just goes into another trance-like state, mumbling words I couldn’t understand. Then we hear an elephant’s trumpet, but it appears to be coming from above us. I look up to see the hot-air balloon floating over my building again, but this time suspending the elephant that I encountered at the gates. I could see the strange marking on its forehead again and the same wild rage in its eyes as the hot-air balloon descended slowly towards me. It got closer and closer and.......... I woke up. It was a thrilling dream and I woke up with sweat covering my whole body and an excitement like none other.
Well I lied in bed yesterday trying the WILD method. I liked listening to some relaxing sounds (water dripping into a river). And I did it so that all my body got relaxed (felt like slowly a blanket was laid on top of me from the feet and up). I lied with closed eyes focusing on some wierd patterns appearing before me. I felt like the body was totally not-awake and 3 times I felt like I a little rapid movement in my whole body and I tought "Oh this must be the thing descirbed as 'stepping into the lucid dream'". When I suddly fell asleep I dreamt I was an FBI agent. I was watching some robbers. some how I could switch from beeing the agent from beeing the robber and back. When beeing the robber I felt that my teeth was near to fall out and when I got back to the FBI agents body again I bit my teeth and felt that they were stable, went back to the robbers body and bit my teeth there and they almost fell out. I did this a couple of times and then I changed into my self (I think i was awake now) and tried to bit me teeth, and they were stable soo I went back to the dream again and did the same thing with the FBI agent and the robber again. I was like ½ aware of what was happning while I dreamt I think.
it was like entering a friends house somewhere you've been a thousand times you're not afraid of being there though you always have some small thred of reservations about having to stay there, its a little out of your comfort zone but still curiosity involves, it started as me realizing "well im here, i need to stay here, theres something good about this place, and something familiar and devestating all at the same moment" first i was introduced to this girl, i think blond girl age around ???well younger than me but not by much...there was something familiar and well having to say intimate about being so close to her again...she needed my help but she never spoke, it was almost like a sixth sense picking up on it, i had to help her, i knew about 50% that i was in a state of dreaming, this wasnt my most lucid dream but it was the most recent, so all in all the dream shifted to a very extravagant state where there was enemies all around but not seen, all i knew is if i save this girl, if i protect her, it will bring me what i was looking for, "in a sense i dont even know what that en tales so i went to a point of exhaustion doing random things that made all the sense in the LD but in retrospect it was a very abstract lucid dream and at every turn she became more apparent to me it felt as if we knew each other from long and long ago back when all life was just a mystery to uncover and we did it together from childhood we knew each other she was there in every great moment of my younger life, i was so blindly determined to be next to this Memorabilia from childhood it was like a calling i remember thinking i cant leave now, not not...just then i had succsesfully hounded off the intruders and turned to look at her being taken off by a boy, a boy i didnt recognize she looked almost sad in her eyes but a sense of familiarity towards the boy i knew she knew him and was half sure she'd be fine but it was like a voice saying its not your time, not now...i was so frustrated by all this i wanted to leave, to leave and forget all this, before i woke into conscience i clearly heard a sweet goodbye from this ghost of a friend that i mabey once thought i knew in a past i may have never had......
Well, I had absolutely zero recall from last night. Zip, zero, zilch. But keeping with my new year resolution, I'm getting on here to read other journals and post that I had no dream recall. I am hoping this focus on dreams will help make sure I remember some dreams tonight!
The dream started with me walking along a building's corridor with a person. For some reason I had to check my hands when I thought about reality checks and found my hands were blurry and hence deduced that I was dreaming and went Lucid. I also remembered a Task-of-the-month for December about flying up and finding the source of snow, so I run out of the building through glass doors and onto what looked like a parking lot. I look up and try to jump in order to fly but I easily come back to the ground. Then I remembered an entry in a post about imagining having wings to fly up, so I imagine having wings and soon felt them on my back. So I try flying up using the wings, but I feel too heavy and barely manage to lift my body a few feet all the while the wings take me backwards like I'm being pulled from behind. Then I woke up for a brief moment and shifted in my bed so a lot of details escaped me, then tried to get back to the same dream by imagining what all happened in the first dream and I soon find myself on a road(but not lucid yet) Then I again try to look at my hands and then realize again that I'm dreaming and the thoughts from previous dream come flooding all at once. Again I imagine having wings and flying up, soon enough I am flying with the help of the wings. This time though it is easier and I'm moving forwards as I go up. Soon I'm able to fly high enough to see the clouds nearing. As I'm just inches from the clouds I get very excited and flap my wings harder to breach the clouds. But as soon as I breached the clouds and came up, I felt a moment of serenity before the dream dispersed. I just joined DV yesterday, and was surprised I could try the techniques so easily This is my first DJ entry so the post might be very raw. Sorry for that

January 5, 2012 Synopsis: we take refuge from a red raging tornado, lucid, escape military and imagine a new scene - a beach Note: I woke up in the middle of the night and tried to recall the dream I just had. All I remember was that it had something to do with someone being healed. Their legs? Ayurveda? I realized now's a good time to try a lucid dream induction. I didn't, I just fell asleep instead. But its the thought that counts! Red Tornado - Calm Beach I'm walking with a group of friends in the industrial part of the city and were just having a good time. That was until I saw the red storm. "What is that? Do you see that?" A massive thunderhead was sweeping down in a funnel shape just next to the lake under the highway overpass. The storm was glowing red. And as the funnel became a tornado it was like the red was a shaft of light in its center. "We need to take cover!" There was an abandoned warehouse like building nearby. But it was also right next to the path of the red tornado. As we ran inside I thought it was strange that the red tornado was stationary. It didn't seem to be moving and it was silent. The inside of the building was weird. It was mostly empty, with dark concrete walls. Dark because of the lack of lightning, kind of like a parking garage. "There's a basement level, that'll be the safest spot" said an older man who was now leading our group that grew into 20+ people. We ran down the flight of stairs, which were really abstract. When we got down there I looked out the windows. "Why are we on the third level? I thought we were going down?" Its true, some how running down the stairs took us several floors up. We examined the staircase and determined it was missing a level or somehow that level was twisted the wrong way. We can see the ground level with the cars from way up here. Back up we go, which takes us down. All is quiet now. There's only one light on in the "living room" of this vast empty basement. Without the company of friends, this place is creepy. I don't remember why but I went down *back up* by myself - to get something or look for something. When I came back up to the basement everyone was gone. There was no way they could leave without me noticing, there's only one door and I crossed it going back up. They vanished. "Hello? Hello?" I get that strange feeling I've gotten before, they vanished because they never were. I don't want to stay here anymore, the place only feels darker. I quickly run out of the closest window, lucid. The storm is gone. Excited that I'm dreaming I observe my environment. I start with the items closest to me. The brick wall. I touch it, its gritty. There's a vase on top of a post. So shiny it looks so real! I tap on it and it makes a hollow sound. I put my palm on it and try to merge my hand into it but I can't. It feels too solid. I realized I do this a lot as a RC in waking life, and that its not a very good reliable RC for me. The military show up on the scene. What do they want? I just try to mind my own business and go the other way, into this weird cityscape that looks like a bad video game layout. But they follow me. I try to lose them and they give chase. They chase me into an area that looks like the isles of a walmart were tossed into a field, and lots and lots of boxes. Dream characters start to shout at me as the military men get closer. They're blaming, they're telling me how horrible this dream world is and its all my fault. "Get her!" I finally lose them in the field of isles and boxes. I hide underneath a table hidden by cardboard, I hope they didn't see me. I want to change this dream scene! I close my eyes and imagine the ocean instead. At first it feels like nothing is happening, I swear I'm still just underneath this table. But I give it a few moments, waiting for a cue. There. I felt it. I dunno, it just feels different. I open my eyes to a sandy strip with Hawaiians and tourists dancing. Cool. I saw people I recognized from waking life. Happy I shouted "were dreaming! were dreaming! hey, are you listening? this is a dream!". But they just nodded their head at me. I couldn't remember where I met them from, so my dream gave me dream-memories. I remembered them from a strange class. The dance is over and everyone is gathered by a stone wall. My vision blurs in and out. I can't feel the ground. There's almost no sound. I figured this was sign I could wake up anytime soon. So I didn't feel like sitting by the wall listening to some old bearded man yap on. I saw a tree with huge candy fruit of every color. I take a huge bite, but instead of something sweet, its more like a mild lemon. I woke up. Its a FA actually. I tell my sisters about my dream. My room is totally facing the wrong wall. And then I wake up for real. (or did I?)

I had an odd dream last night of going to a restaurant with some friends. It started out with me talking them at some sort of fancy restaurant in the afternoon. While I can't remember specifics, I remember getting smacked upside the head by one of my friends because I said something that might have offended the owners. After we ate our lunch, I recall a voice saying "Departing" and the rooms started split up and move. Each room transformed itself into a passenger car on a train and linked together before finally moving to wherever it was going. A bunch of children with chaperons happened to be placed in the car with us. One of my friends complained because the kids were getting too rowdy, but nobody did anything. That's when I remember waking up. Pretty interesting dream if you ask me. I think waking up earlier is making it easier to remember dreams, though I wonder if I might get used to it and fall into a dry spell. Hopefully not. Happy Dreaming everyone!
Last night was underwhelming once again in terms of dream recall - or I should say last day, and I only slept 6 hours. I have been struggling to sleep at night and it's interfering with my recall. Compared to my usual recall this has not been at all worse though. I am still struggling in cultivating a habit of actually making notes of my dreams right after I wake up. I should just do it. On a brighter note I have remembered at least fragments on five days in a row. Probably doesn't sound much especially coming from a guy that has been into LDs for three years, but my record stands at mere 27 days in a row. I hope that I beat it come the end of the January. So anyway that means that you're in for another "classic" dream. As always I'm only rewriting the lengthy or otherwise memorable dreams here. Zombies vs. Christians Date: March 5th, 2009 Lucid: No I was playing some kind of a hack 'n' slash multiplayer game - except that in my dreams, games are never games but rather I'm really in their worlds. There were two sides - Zombies and Christians. Your standard match-up... not. I was fighting with a battle-axe and our team was fighting along some ramp, slaying our opponents. I was obviously on the zombie side as I'm so vehemently anti-christian. The main group of opponents started coming up the ramp. There was some kind of fence on the ramp, but that would have been easily surpassed should they have wanted it - but I guess they didn't see us, as they went into some mansion through the door behind the ramp. I followed them. Inside the mansion there were coffins. I presumed that there would be zombies inside the coffins, but no. The zombies were lying on the tables in the next room, where I noticed one of the Christians crouching and "defusing" the zombie with his cross. Similarly how the bomb is defused in Counter-Strike. WTF? Zombie Counter-Strike? I'd play that. It's a bit odd though, usually in games and movies zombies are just shot to pieces, not "defused" with a cross... Well, whatever. Anyway I was in control of these lying zombies. At some point they got up and started walking whenever I was looking. I took something that look like a pancake, inserted it into my mouth. I needed to speak into it to command the zombies. I hadn't done that earlier because it would have given off my location. Now the room only had some woman with my zombie. I put it into my mouth and commanded... "Kill me." Oops. I don't know what brainfuck happened there, but even the zombie looked surprised. Then it started to walk towards me. "No no no, kill the woman", I corrected myself then. The zombie took it's time on killing the woman and she didn't look at all happy about my command. She started walking towards me ominously. I retreated outside, constantly repeating the command "kill the woman!" through the pancake, or whatever. The zombie and the woman kept following me. Once I was outside, some of my teammates, who for some reason were just idling outside, came to my assist. All the sudden some guy comes up to the zombie and says that he is sick of it doing things so slowly. The guy kept talking and I don't remember what he said in between, but somehow he managed to shift the subject to some new law, that said that you couldn't play more than 250 hands of poker a day anymore. He told that it was frustrating, especially for a pro like him, given that he had to meet the betting requirements of bonuses etc. I just looked at him flabbergasted. I had forgotten about zombies and all. The I collected myself and just answered: "I'm not obeying that law." That's it, now to wait when the Zombie Counter-Strike gets published.
1-5-12 [probably D3] Like the title implies, I’ve been waiting. Not so patiently. And......... LUCIDITY!!! [I think.] Okay, so I was having a dream (duh) where I was talking to my friend A while on some sort of field trip or museum tour of some sort. Without any prompt at all, I became lucid and promptly began doing what any sane veteran of lucidity lore and study would do in my situation. I started royally freaking out. Really, I was getting all sorts of excited. I even grabbed A by the shoulders and said “Hey! I’m dreaming! I know I’m dreaming!” And... shortly after that, the dream ended. I didn’t even wake up from all that freaking out, I just... stopped dreaming. Stupid happiness overload. The weird thing is that my recall of the whole thing is no more vivid than my average (recalled) dream. That might be due to my late (or technically early) bedtime last night (again, technically morning) cutting down on my sleep and clarity relatively, but... Eh. Who knows. Anyways. I am now officially a lucidity virgin no more.
I remember sitting in my room with a glass. I put some fish in it and some aquatic plants. The water level was kinda high. One fish, brownish in color turned into a ray and jumped out. I needed to find something bigger to keep it in and save it.
I'm in a submarine with several others, and we become aware that the ship is about to lose its balance/twist at a crazy angle underwater, such that the inside of the ship will be subject to massive pressure changes. (We'll probably all survive, though, for some reason.) I have this vision of a row of rivets that pop loose with a loud metallic clang one after the other. Later in the dream I'm walking around a mall with Heidi. I could have been attending Mike and Andrea's wedding during this time, but instead I'm here pretending to be Heidi's husband while she has a lesbian wedding ceremony. Not that the ceremony is actually taking place or anything; we just seem to be wandering around the mall aimlessly. I get bored and start looking up information on Natalie Merchant. I learn that in her early career she and her husband had separate musical acts; she headed a group called Natalie and the Merchants. I wonder whether I'll find any information on her fake British accent, but I don't come across anything. At some point I meet Mike and Andrea and we exchange photos on our phones. Apparently their wedding consisted of them and some friends hanging out in an apartment while everyone dressed up in some sort of marching band uniform. The whole thing had the atmosphere of a college party rather than a wedding.
I don't remember anything at all.

8:04 AM - 1/5/2012 I'm at school and I have a netbook that I am using to browse FJ while walking to lit class. While walking there I ask someone if the teacher gave us a lot of work and they said yes and made some sort of simile. I sit down in lit and while browsing FJ a comic convinces me to shake the computer which reloads all my tabs, one of which I remember had japanese or korean writing on it, and then I start browsing through my FB feed, which has mostly pictures of girls duckfaces, but I feel like a stalker so I stop. After closing the tab, I am in the place where the last picture was taken, which is a picture of a few of my friends at some restaurant. It's night and from our table I can see out the window and I notice that there is a building that is reflecting something really bright. As I walk over to the window for a closer look, I notice there is a river between me and the building and I also see that the building is actually the Burj Khalifa and is reflecting some really small building. I exclaim, "Why am I in fucking Dubai?" and with that exclamation comes the realization that this is a dream. I turn around, everything in the restaurant is a little shaky and then I wake up.
