    Lucid Dreams

    1. Deja vu

      by , 12-07-2013 at 10:10 PM
Earlier before the dream I in waking life I was talking to a friend about pizza. Then it was about 1am and I woke up from a dream and I'm pretty sure it was what had happened earlier in the night... I think I was lucid for what seemed a few moments but got excited and woke up...

    2. Mini-Lucid "Going Blind" On Me And A Non-Lucid Present

      by , 12-07-2013 at 05:53 PM
So last night - I didn´t plan a WILD up front - I slept from early morning to afternoon today.
But when I woke up quite nice and naturally - I thought, why not go back to sleep with SSILD.
I did and I had a dream - but only after one more awakening and some mantras came the dream, where there was a bit of lucidity.
Not at all like 2 nights back - where I fell asleep and instantly was fully lucid at such a point.

I was dreaming of meeting a frustrated woman, who got abandoned by her taxi-driver on a little road going through woods and little valleys - vaguely like one I know, which does not get anywhere bigger for a while.
There was a guy, telling her, this would be typical - the driver would have seen, that he would have to drive back all this way for free, if he took her to that far-off place she wanted to.

There had been a huge storm before and I saw one enormous tree lying right over the road, on which I looked a bit from above in the same road.

So - I saw a tree from a weird perspective - and this told me somehow, that I can make huge leaps.
Which I did - towards it - and by that moment came the realization, that what I do is quite like flying in a dream.
But my instant first judgement was - naa - this must be reality!
But I looked at my hands - they were a bit out of focus - but had 5 fingers and the thumb didn´t go through.
But anyway - the leaping and bounding did register and I did then know it was a dream, even if I had no real grasp of it.
So I went on looking at my hands and testing their impenetrability - but what resulted was me hovering somewhere and loosing sight - almost completely.
Not being equipped this time with a comparably good daytime-memory - I did not try to otherwise systematically stabilize - what I did towards the end was shout "more lucidity" when the visuals were almost completely gone.
They were perfectly vivid and beautiful when I started wondering if it was a dream.
I think, I lost lucidity without waking up and continued this dream - not 100% sure, though.

So - the full-on WILD activities do incubate me with a great level of lucidity from the onset of DILD - while this one instance was a real DILD - and not a glorious one at that.

I wonder one thing - maybe the auto-hover mechanism is easier to throw up for my inner simulation-centre than feeling the soles of my feet with every step..?

I will edit in a bit more ND later - but nothing really note-worthy concerning there.

Except a non-lucid present - and many recurring themes - having to clear out of a flat with renovating packing up and sorting stuff.
Looking for a new place - and in this case I was with a friend out and about Berlin - looking for a place to squat.
It was summer, and there was a place, which supposedly I knew about in that dream - a ruin, with some structures still quite intact.
So we came there - somebody had put up a big rake in the smallish access to that spot - we circumvented it - and there was this place - and further on a little bridge, with a guy behaving like some sort of guard - but my friend went to him, and convinced him, that it was okay, I take over the place.

But to make it more complicated concerning sorting out and removals - once I had some of my things over - the ex-squatter of the place re-appeard.
A guy I know in real live, and who did really squat in several ruins in Berlin some years ago.
And then it was him demanding his stuff back - which then was suddenly there - and all mixed up - his, mine, rubbish - almost no light and space and some hick-hack as well.

But I asked him for a present - having incubated this activity with mantras and visualization for the TOTM.
And he gave me a beautiful soap-stone sculpture.

It was shaped like a slice of a melon with almost all fruit-flesh eaten away as a base.
Like if you had a ball, and would draw two circles on it with the maximum radius the ball allows for - they intersect and result in 4 such slices then.
Inlaid into the base was a little depression for a small soap-stone-ball to hover and rotate freely in.
And in this ball, a light was set in - and you could set the direction of lightning with slightly turning it.

Whatever - I liked it a lot and thanked him.

Another dream had me win a contest to get invited to take part in a huge stage production.
But somehow, I was too late and witnessed, how another girl (I was around 20 maybe..) got dressed and made up for the show.
I hurried up and arrived there with a friend - and we talked the guy, with whom the plans had been made in the first place, into taking in both of us. Which was nice.
But there was some animated argumentation involved - and this other girl was almost in tears upon seeing me arrive.

    3. Spellcasting 101

      by , 12-07-2013 at 04:33 PM
      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #170: Spellcasting 101

I'm standing in what looks like a hotel room with a spellcaster, a brown-haired girl in her late teens or early twenties. She's holding her palms out in front of her, and a miniature tornado whirls and dances in each of her hands. Each cyclone is about a foot high and spins rapidly but quietly, the tip of the funnel stuck to the same spot on her palms. This trick is new to her and she darts her eyes at me as if to say, "Did I get it right?" I nod approvingly.

For some reason, a flame catches around the upper rim of each tornado and she starts to lose her calm. "Why's it doing that?" The flame begins to spread down the funnel and she starts to panic.
I become lucid as the fire spreads down the tornado and wraps ribbons of flame around her arms. I can see that the flames are just wrapping around her, though, and she's not actually catching on fire. It looks like some kind of fire spell is building up that she doesn't understand how to operate or control.

There's a door just behind me that looks like it leads down to a basement. I usher her toward the basement, saying, "Let's go downstairs to practice that. It'll be safer there." She's starting to panic but she starts moving toward the basement as
      the dream ends.

I hold on for DEILD, imagining myself running down a dark flight of stairs. It takes a moment for the imagery to coalesce again, and when I emerge back in a dream, I'm alone in a different hotel room, running around the room. I'm sort of prancing around on the carpet using just the balls of my feet. It's very dainty-looking and super un-macho but the sensation on my feet's very vivid and is helping me keep fears of an unstable dream at bay. (I know to ignore these, but there they were anyway!)

I run around the room like this for a bit more and then switch to rubbing my hands together. I continue this pretty much throughout the rest of the dream.

I walk out through the hotel room door into a darkly-carpeted hallway and walk for a long way. On my right I see a door that looks just like the one that led to the basement in the previous dream, so I follow it, expecting to find the young spellcaster again. I tromp down a flight of wooden stairs into a well-lit anteroom where an Hispanic woman in her late 30s is sitting behind an old-style cash register. She gives me a friendly smile and I remember the Task of the month to ask a DC for a gift.

"Hey!" I say. "Go ahead and give me my gift now." She nods, reaches under her desk, and pulls out a greeting card in an envelope. I will the greeting card to be open and the envelope just sort of vanishes. The cover of the card is some kind of abstract painting and the inside just has some simple handwriting in pen that read: "THANK YOU FOR THE CARD!" I'm trying to process what this means when
      the dream ends.
    4. In the future with Jude Law

      by , 12-07-2013 at 02:27 AM
      Date: 06 Dec

Was supposed to do a wbtb, but felt really sleepy, so I just kept nervously waking up and falling asleep again. Was more deeply asleep than usual, had a pretty cool dream and a mini-ld at the end.

Dream: In some city of the future, there are business people walking on the street. I am in some sort of transportation, with tables in the middle. The guide is talking about us opening the fancy books on the table, but I don't have one. The guy (to be JL) in front of me gives me his book.

My attention is then drawn by the resting yogi platforms on the street. Initially a few, then many (DS), looking extremely interesting, like two rows of beige hammocks, each hammock cell uniquely decorated with some tribal art. These seem to continue down the street like forever (DS) and an old sadhu is horizontally resting on each one. I notice I am making sounds with my mouth as if playing a didgeridoo. Amongst the individual cells for the yogis are a few reporters from National Geographic. As I think about these reporters, the face of one of them turns into a human tiger face.

We are still in the transportation and the guide explains about some sort of formation, that I think I noticed is in the sand between each cell? It's like a barely visible vortex in the sand, but when he explains about the formation, I begin to see as if looking on a screen, a computer model graphics of a donut shape. He explains that this formation is the result of the wind and some electromagnetic particles which when falling get to form this shape over time, due to magnetic influences.

There are different types of futuristic cars flying in the air near us. They look like mini planes, but flatter, wider and made from some sort of black material.

The guy that gave me his book is now Jude Law. Near the windows are many interesting (DS) bottles of fancy cosmetics. My attention is torn between him and them, but I touch his arm and leave my hand there, waiting for reaction. He doesn't seem to mind and keeps his arm in the same position. At some point he is eating a pack of dried/transforming to fresh blueberries and offers me some, I refuse.

I begin examining the various cosmetics they have. Some sun tanning stuff and lots of colorful bottles and boxes of expensive cosmetics. I turn to Jude and say that one thing hasn't changed in the future and that is that some cosmetics are still prohibitively expensive. Then I take a purple box of face cream and read out what the benefits are supposed to be, reversing the meaning to the total opposite, my speech turning into a funny negative campaign for L'oreal. Jude is enjoying it too.

I nervously wake up, remember the totm, and go back there.

DEILD: Jude is to my right now and we are still in some sort of transportation. I briefly wonder whether to announce that this is about TOTM, but just say, "Please give me a present", or something along those lines. He looks at me surprised, especially after my long cosmetics speech, like he didn't expect me to want anything from him. I add "It can be something small", thinking it doesn't have to be expensive. He comes closer and gives me a super sexy kiss. We continue kissing for a while, while I contemplate this. The dream fades and I head for the journal.

    5. Basic & Advanced TOTMs i

      by , 12-06-2013 at 07:38 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
I was naughty and went to bed at 3am because I knew I could sleep in forever, so I really didn't deserve these 2 LDs, but here they are anyway

I WILDed probably around 8am. After the vibrations settled, I opened my eyes and was in my room and in bed, per pretty usual. I fought with many layers of blankets and finally got up, but then I woke up. I went back to sleep and ended up in a nonlucid in a grocery store. I was walking down the frozen aisle, when it hit me that I was JUST awake a few moments ago in my bed, trying to lucid dream. BOOM! I remembered the basic I task right away, so I looked for a dream character. My mom was in the frozen aisle too, looking through some frozen items. I said "Mom?" and she looked at me. "Can I have one of my Christmas presents early this year?" She said "Ok" as she started pushing her cart towards one of the registers. When we got in line, there were some floral arrangements on one of the endcaps. She picked one and gave it to me. It was a small, thin glass vase with 4 orchid blossoms in it. They were the most intense, hypercolored purple I'd ever seen. I said "Wow, thank you mom!!" And I was fiddling with them, kinda rearranging them. As I did that, 2 yellow gerbera daisies also appeared in the vase, then 3 roses too. I'm glad that happened, because it kinda snapped me back into the fact that I was dreaming, so I could do another task. I said "Ok by mom, I gotta go do some stuff," and I just set the vase in her cart.

When I got outside, it had snowed everywhere. ANd it looked like a tiny town in Montana or something, with mountains everywhere and everyone dressed like they were going to go ski. I took to flight, and just swam in the air. I tried to think of another task, and all I could think of was the snowman one (and how I kinda didn't really want to do it). As I was in the air, I saw AND heard wolves and bears in the mountains. I thought how much I really wanted to fly there and either battle or befriend them (wolf task HELLOOOOO... oh well). I promised myself I would after the task. I landed on a nice pile of snow across the street from the grocery store. It didn't seem like enough snow, so I willed it to snow (a skill I acquired from one of last year's tasks ). After a few inches accumulated, I got straight on my knees and started trying to form the traditional snowman from 2 big balls of snow. But they would morph a bit while I was making them, and the falling snow kept accumulating around him, basically forming him back into a big amorphic snow pile. I decided to go with it, and instead of sculpting a snowman, I decided to carve him out of the giant snow pile. I made him look a little cubic, with a weird mouth. Kind of like a cross between a robot and an Aztec god. I wasn't even using my hands, I just willed chunks of snow to fall away, leaving the relief of a snow-robot, partially embedded in the drift. I said "Ok, WALK," and when I did, he stepped out of the drift, and marched kinda robot soldier style. At this point, he wasn't even snow anymore, it was pure, clear ice somehow. Probably because I felt a bit like I was doing an ice sculpture rather than snow molding, if that makes any sense. Satisfied with my marching iceman, I thought about heading for the woods, but then I woke up.

    6. 1-UP and Dr.Octopus Lucid and Non-Lucid Fragment

      by , 12-06-2013 at 07:04 AM
I am also adding in my second dream because I only remember a little of the dream.

      The Lucid
I was running inside this hotel area for awhile before I heard my mom's voice, confused I looked around only to find nothing, but after awhile I realized that she was trying to wake my brother up for school so I became lucid from that fact alone. So after becoming lucid I ran around for a bit to be stopped in my tracks
because the dream was fading and then I said out loud "No you don't!" and the dream went back to normal and it happened a few times but I stopped the dream from ending. Before long I was lying in a big pile of trash, I'm pretty sure I fell out of a window to get there, I also felt like I was dying so I thought to myself
"I need a 1-UP." And what do you know a 1-UP falls from the sky and lands in my hand so I quickly ate it,
It tasted like a dense marshmallow and looked like a fat cookie. After eating the 1-UP I promptly got up from the trash and saw Dr.Octopus staring me down like I was his arch-nemeses so we charge to each other and we both fired barrages of attacks, he use his metal arms and I used my tails which I don't know how I got but I was rolling with it, we then traded blows with each other and then he abruptly left and the dream ended.

I guess my lucid was basically an EILD which I didn't plan
      http://www.dreamviews.com/images/smilies/tongue2.gif

      The Non-Lucid Fragment
This dream was set in the attack on titan universe and the soldiers were setting up a program which had civilians sub for injured soldiers so I was subbing for this girl named Pampus and it was about time that she should have been all healed up and me and some of the other soldiers were looking for her then all of a my view shifted to where Pampus was and she was eating ice cream with a friend the dream ended immediately after that.

Oh and by the way I'm back to Dreamviews now http://www.dreamviews.com/images/smilies/smiley.gif

    7. 28.11.13 - Driving with my mom and skateboarding

by , 12-05-2013 at 08:33 PM (In the real life)
I don't remember much of this one, because i had some problems right when i woke up, so my mind wasn't on my dreams that night, but anyways here is what i remember.
At the beginning i remember i had some really nice and enlightening dreams, i was able to interpret(?) my dreams, while i was having them, so you could say i was kind of in a semi-lucid state, because i knew i was having those dreams, but they are a bit fuzzy...
I'm in my moms car with her and we are driving along a familiar mountain road. We were discussing whether she'd buy me chinese food or not, she didn't want to, but damn i love chinese. It was fall, but as we took a turn along the road, the season suddenly changed to spring and we weren't on a mountain road anymore, it was more like in the middle of a field, but still high on a mountain... At this point i stopped paying attention to what my mom was mildly shouting to me and started having thoughts about skateboarding. I was thinking about how i land this gnarly trick and feel nice.
Earlier in my dream i think i was at this local skateboarding spot, a bank, which has a set of 5 stairs and i managed to ollie up them which is way to high for me to do in real life just yet, but i ollied up a couple of times and then some bloke showed up and i couldn't do it again...
I woke up after that... I wish i remembered more about this dream, it was really enlightening!

    8. Meditation and the Snake

by , 12-05-2013 at 04:27 PM (The Dream Magic Experiment)
I was meditating outside the house, on the east side near the door. It was night, or at least it was dark. I was sitting in a half-lotus posture on the grasses near the plants. I was mentally viewing the four corners of the house with a 'construct' of myself, trying to ensure nothing goes through the barrier.

I started to go inside. I had to bring a lot of stuff with me; books, paper and stuff, and some kept on falling but I must not leave anything behind. My dog was there too. I told him to stay out.

When I was inside, I noticed there was another dog. The sun started to rise then. I touched it and found it was real. It's a smaller, hairier one. Then another. I saw more of them around the plants. My dog was making that poor-me sound. I wondered how they got in and thought that when I let my guard down, they must have dug down the walls and the barrier. One poked at my dog's clothes, and my dog was on his back on the ground.

I was in a restaurant. I was eating with some people. One asked where else to find a good Japanese restaurant. I tried to think but I can't remember any. I mentioned/praised the good food in the place. One said (Ate M?) that there's also separate rooms and they serve the food inside. I said that wasn't what I was referring to.

I was in a restaurant (not sure if the same one). I was an owner or at least a friend of the owner. They were serving food to an (male) enemy? He was wearing a tux. There's wasabi and yellow rice. A friend offered to provide the wasabi, but we all said no. Something about his way of cooking it. Or the rice. There's yellow rice but inside it's still white.

I was in a room, in a hotel, I presumed. I asked something to be done outside. I was on the bed. A knock, and I said come in. A maid went inside and said there was a delivery for me and that I should hold out my hand. She was on my left. I refused, thinking/knowing she will grab my hand and kill me. She suddenly screamed, and I jumped back towards the window. Someone grabbed me from outside the window; an enemy ninja. Then I heard shots or a shot, and the guy let me go; an ally from across the building was shooting at him. I had a quick view of the outside. When my vision went back inside the room, I saw the the maid has turned into a huge snake and was trying to escape up through the roof. I pulled her down (not sure if through kinesis or by hand), and I pushed her head through the wall and the window, and it got shredded. She was still alive; she's immortal. I pulled it back in a bit and shredded it back through, and I saw the eye get punctured. It looked more like a fish's eye. I saw the innards of the head.

Slowly, I saw it starting to transform. The shredded bits started to become smaller snakes, but are still attached to the huge snake. I pulled her in to stop the complete transformation. I then asked her if she knows why I did not just kill her with my katana.

      I woke up.

      * There was a part where I drove with some people to the 'water' park down in South Luzon at night. I said that it's a shame we will miss the sights because it was night. I think my crush or boyfriend was there. (IRL, I have no boyfriend, and I don't recognize any of the people there.)

      * I was partially lucid.

      * Slept at around 8:38 p.m., and woke up after 1.5 hours at 10:10 a.m. I had a hard time sleeping. I drank a cup of coffee before to ensure I won't go deep down in sleep (I needed to work). I also tried focusing on my breathing, but I keep getting distracted by hypnagogic/hypnapompic (I keep going in and out of dreams) images. I read Psybermagick before sleeping. I also watched stuff.
    9. Two Short Lucids with Snowman-Efforts

      by , 12-05-2013 at 01:50 PM
I will edit in a bit from the normal dreams later, too - buut - first:

      Something happened!!

The same way, the other two longer episodes came to pass - WILD-try induced DILD.

WBTB after 6h with alarm - I got up and stayed out of bed for about almost half an hour.
I think, this helped me with not being lazy and impatient.
So when I went back to bed to try WILD - I had some persistence - but couldn´t fall asleep.

I went at is less than optimally though - with a mixed up approach throwing together breath-counting and mantras and a bit of SSILD - still unsure how to really go about it.
For a while after the actual efforts - I ended up in a weird state of mind - half-sleeping, but awake and thinking about things.
I sort of enjoyed this - thinking over some real-life stuff in a rather detached manner.
Then came another normal dream, I woke up from that - went to the loo - thought - ah - sleep a little more, which I did.

I was instantly lucid, when the dream started.
No need for nose-plug or anything - I knew it for sure - and almost automatically started hovering.

I felt, the dream was quite unstable - not throughout vivid - only on what I directly concentrated.
I came down on a meadow with some trees and started my remembered stabilizing repertoire.
Hand-looking and rubbing - foot-stomping and going on my knees and smell at the grass - I smelled that.
There was also a bit of clover - so I ate some of it - but it did not taste of anything.

I also shouted "more clarity" and such - didn´t seem to work a lot in this first episode - the shouting something.
I also wasn´t feeling my body except my hands - and those not really either.
The whole thing maybe was only a minute.
I guess it was too late already and I had slept enough.

Woke up - but - was able to immediately fall asleep again and found myself back in lucidity.
It felt like the same dream - but the meadow was out of sight - I hovered over a road.

I thought - okay - take your chances as they come - and tried for the snowman-task:

It was summer - I hovered over a street and then flew on a bit - shouting as loud as I could "snow" "I want it to snow" for a little while.
This - and the little one before - were the first LDs where I tried shouting something, by the way.
And with summoning snow it worked a treat.
Started snowing and more and more and some snow lay on the ground finally too.
So - down I went to a place where there was a bit more of it.
When I grabbed some of this snow - it was really cold and felt like snow!

Funny thing is - there were two children sitting close by - and they had snow on their heads and faces.
As if they had just sat there in the quite thick snowing for half an hour or so.
It was a bit more snow than I first saw covering the ground.
So - I took this snow from their heads to start building - they were looking a bit weird at me - but didn´t complain.
Meanwhile - there was more snow everywhere and I built a snowman - good size - but only snow.
I was feeling the dream collapse - there was no time to decorate it or give it a face or anything - but I stood a bit in front of it - visuals fading - and tried willing him alive before I wake up again.
But no - it started melting a bit, only..

      Next time!!

Sooo - very happy - and I feel this WBTB DILD inducing is going to work better, the better I manage the timing - and maybe finally a WILD too.
      Time for a little bliss:

    10. 18.11.13 - My first full blown lucid dream

by , 12-05-2013 at 12:55 PM (In the real life)
Today i had my most lucid of dreams. I remember it from the beginning!
I couldn't fall asleep, i was tossing and turning like crazy. I was thinking about going to the computer and watching a movie or something, it was like 3 am and i had school in 4 hours so sleeping didn't make sense to me. But i decided to give sleeping another chance even though i doubted it. So i layed in my default sleeping position (on my back) and began an attempt at WILD, a few minutes passed and i got bored, so i layed on my side, still not moving. Next thing i started hearing those wierd noises, like dogs barking, machines working, fireworks and etc. It didn't feel the least bit unusual to me, but i got really tired of it and decided that sleeping just isn't gonna work. I opened my eyes and tried to get out of bed, but i couldn't... the noises became even more intense and they weren't so usual anymore my bedroom wall with all it's stickers on it was now really fuzzy and i couldn't read any of them, right away something in my mind clicked and i thought "Hey! wait a minute.. I'm DREAMING!"I knew it! Upon thinking that the annoying sounds dissappeared and everything became really vivid. But i had no dream world.. i was stuck in SP in my bedroom, but this time i didn't want to wake up as i did the previous times i was in SP, so i closed my eyes and imagined myself flying to another world. I felt myself float to the corner of my bed, almost as if it was an Out of Body experience. Then i opened my eyes and i was still in my room, only it was really different, i mean it looked the same, but it was different i could feel it. I could see my hands and legs, something i have never been able to see in my dreams. I didn't do anything i just stood there and looked at my hands i was both scared and amazed at the same time, i didn't think i was dreaming, it felt just like real life.. even more real!I began to question weather i was dreaming or not, but i didn't perform a reality check.I could feel myself sleeping it's like i was another person. I looked up and saw the staircase that leads to my room.(my room doesn't have a door it's connected to the second floor via a spiral staircase)There was a big triangular shadow covering most of the staircase. I couldn't see a thing it was pitch black. I then looked at the floor and saw a strange aztec like symbol on it, as i continued looking at it everything started becoming fuzzy again, so i layed on my bed and looked at the stickers on my wall again, after a short while i closed my eyes and then opened them again, i was now in the real world, but it didn't feel like it, i mean it was the real world, but right then i knew that it wasn't the only real world that exists, it was a magical experience, even though i didn't do anything. I was left with a natural high the whole day after that!

    11. 4 Lucid DEILD Attempts (seconds of success)

      by , 12-05-2013 at 08:03 AM
I haven't tried to go lucid in about a year now, but attempted tonight. After a bunch of pretty (weirdly) normal dreams, I woke up while in a sort of continuation of that dream where I was currently outside a school entrance. I was sort of spinning around without gravity, and half-knew it was a dream. When I woke up, I immediately tried to go back, and did successfully, but sort of waited 5 seconds of the dream actually happening and DO doing things to realize, but then there was this sort of pulse in my head (I don't know if it as real or imagined), and I soon woke up. I tried to go back into the dream and succeeded again, this time appearing inside the school and a teacher was giving a lecture. A woman proceeds to pull me out of the classroom. It is assumed that I am in trouble and I am very angry at her. The teacher then appeared out in the hallway to ask me a geography question. The school obviously had something wrong with it. I thought doors were going to shut down and it would turn into some sort of haunted prison with laser eyed students at anytime (this, my friends, is anxiety). I tried to answer the questions like it was my last, saving breath, but I couldn't open my mouth. I have never had one of those dreams before (I remember all of my dreams). I did get to speak, but instead I was speaking out loud and found myself in my bed ("n-n-n-n-adi-") Nadir isn't even a specific place??? I don't know if the word had any significance, but it was my eighth grade vocabulary word. I'm not actually sure if this happened or was a FA, but I continued to go back into the dream, and this time was standing while a classmate (who I never had a good relationship with) came up to me, red laser eyes beginning to emerge. I think I tried so hard and was so angry at her that I managed to shut the dream down. AGAIN.

Conclusions: What I found interesting was that I was able to wait 5 seconds ish before I realized that it was a dream so that it had a chance to start. The pulsing in my head (not sure if real or fake, again) occurred several times later once I had the realization it was a dream. I think I wasn't never deep enough into the dream to be able to change it.

    12. Triple WILD or DILD

      by

      12.04.13

Last night, bed around 1-2 am. Woke up 7:50am and got up with intent to WILD soon.

Layed down on sofa around 10am to WILD. Of course, that's like an invitation to my cats to come and lay down on me. If I just lay down to watch the tv, I can call them, but they don't come. For some reason, they know when I'm WILDing and that's like a catnip. One cat found a comfy spot at my feet, and I could still feel her, every time she stirred. The other one, the chest-cat, jumped off after maybe 20 min, just as I was getting relaxed. Good things, as I was able to continue with a WILD.

Matra was "I'm dreaming", later switched to "When I see, I get up" and Later yet "I see, i get up". This has worked for me in the past and I knew it will work today.

I kept giving into the dreamlets, dipping down below into sleep, only to wake up slightly just seconds later. Next thing I know, I exclaim "I see!" I'm on a bed and I realize I'm dreaming. I get up, and take a look around. I'm in my childhood bedroom. I make a decision not to rush, but also not to worry about stabilizing, because I remember OpheliaBlue saying, that if you worry about stabilizing, then you have already lost.

So I just KNEW, that I'm gonna be ok without stabilizing. I took in the sights. Dark yellow light from setting sun was permeating the room. I made a consious decision to not just throw myself out the nearest window as I normally do. I wanted to walk outside using the doors. So I went through a few doors, each time with bit of trepidation if the door know will work and if I find behind the door what's suppose to be there. But I also KNEW, that doorknobs will work.

I walk throught the front door and as soon as I do, I can smell the dusty, summer air and my bare feet are getting almost burned by hot asphalt pavement. I take a right around the house and continue on the sidewalk. There are 2 new buildings. I can see through the windows, they are some kind of a gift shop or visitors center. I take a few steps back to check out the large letter/number designations on the front of the building. I want to remember them, so if they build them in the future IWL, I will know that's what i saw.

      Here I lose it.

      2.
I'm in a bed again. Not my room from WL, but in the dream, it's my room. I remember I wanted to look back and see myself laying in the bed. I look back and bed is empty. I look again, trying to trick my mind into showing someone there, but no luck. Bed is empty.

I make a decision to walk through doors again. I'm hoping this time, door will take me to some exotic place. I walk through a few of them, and last one takes me to my childhood room from WL and from previous LD. This makes me laugh histerically. Haha, my room=exotic place. Nice one, subcon.

      3.
I'm on a sidewalk in a strange city. Not too modern. Looks like a pedestrian zone. I realize I don't have a plan and don't want to just walk around aimlesly. So... I grab the first guy and drag him into the small shop. It's tiny. Just a panel with some merchandise behind it, a clerk, and space for 5 people tops.

So I stand this guy int he corner of the panel and the front door. I Know I don't have much time left. I pull his pants down, I pull my pants down and I give him a BJ. While I do that, I observe some dust and a fly on the pult to not forget I'm dreaming and I keep repeating "I am dreaming" to keep aware. Too bad though, because soon after i wake up. Maybe new policy is in order. Me first, BJ next?

Not sure if they were WILDs or DILDs. First one felt like a WILD, but others... Didn't get any transition at all. Both times I just realized that "I see". Either way - THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU and LOVE YA

And I'm happy, that I was walking and NOT flying. Finally.

    13. First Nap WILD, Girl Friday Sex

      by , 12-04-2013 at 09:42 PM
First Nap WILD occurred on #80, I was beginning to think LDs during naps was not for me!
12/4/13 I lay down about 1 hour & 45 minutes after waking for the day...morning nap. Before laying down I read this one time: Why You Fail at WILDs - Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views (I had read it before, keys in article for me: customize WILD attempt to you and FALL ASLEEP). I then read Naiya's sub-post #7 of 8 here: http://www.dreamviews.com/induction-...tml#post850578 The part that carried into my attempt the most was changing the noises you hear to something you want them to be. For me I was hearing the bed creaking like someone getting into it and I just quickly noted the sound and imagined Girl Friday getting into bed...though I probably carried the visualizations too far which probably kept me too awake longer. The process may have taken an hour as I was holding on to too much consciousness, but I am confident I can fall asleep quicker next time. I also heard city noises (probably actual WL noises) and kept them what they were only changing the scene from which I was hearing them to something other than my bed during a WILD attempt. I probably need to do this quicker and then let go. Earlier as I was getting ready to lay down I repeated a mantra that I recognize the vibrations. I think lately my consciousness was gone by the time they arrived (if they arrived at all). My gut feeling is that they were not showing up as much because I had gotten beyond the novelty of the sensation, but not sure. Either way, they had been a big part in me entering WILDs in the past and I thought a mantra to keep an eye out for them would help and I think the mantra did help. For me once the vibrations start in earnest you are at the door of the dream. By the end of the process it was barely a tiny thread of consciousness still there when I felt the vibrations which ramped up my consciousness, but in a smooth non-jolting way. I nudged the vibrations on and soon felt my dream body but no scene and started paddling forward with both dream arms and in the beginning with each stroke propelling myself forward I was still getting fairly strong vibrations as if I needed to keep paddling forward to keep from returning to my sleeping body and propel myself further into the dream. Eventually the vibrations faded and I could feel myself in the water and kept paddling but felt like I didn't want to just keep doing this so I imagined that I was paddling towards a beach (did this in a previous LD as well). I imagined also that Girl Friday would be on the beach, she was fresh on my mind from the HH bed creaking tweaks I mentioned earlier. I crawl my way onto shore and there she was in a sexy bikini red with white polka dots matching top and bottom. To cement the idea that she was ready for me I said something like I am sorry it took me so long, I know you have been waiting for me in a sexy deep voice. I caress her face and push back her hair and wipe bits of almost glowing sand from her cheeks and we begin to kiss for a while. I then reach back behind her back and untie her bikini top and
      Spoiler for X-rated:
and I slowly felt myself returning to my bed where I heard a woman with a frantic, unintelligible cry that morphed into the dog I could hear barking in waking life! Very interesting. I made a quick DEILD attempt and did 2 motionless RCs even though I was sure I was awake and then a few physical RCs to keep true to my new goal to catch as many FAs as possible. I failed to do that when I got up for the day earlier before this nap...so sure that I was awake, but I got to get better at RCing every single time.

Other recent LDs not journaled on DV were all DILDs. Quick recap of DILD realization moments: FA and saw hands and arms raised up behind a tv and realized I am dreaming; talking to my brother and his old roommate I notice that the roommate has these weird marking on his face that look drawn on and realize I am dreaming; paying for items at convenience store and I notice all of my coins are very old from the 1700's and I realize I am dreaming - one odd coin might not have done it; can't reach the brake pedal in my big old Impala like car (never owned one but saw some nice ones at a car show within the last few months) and realized I am dreaming; sitting talking with my son and his cousins I think to bring up lucid dreaming and realize I am dreaming.
    14. - On being an idiot in lucid dreams -

      by , 12-04-2013 at 06:30 PM
Afternoon of December 4, 2013. Wednesday.

Although I have already done fairly short summaries regarding some of the dream content found here, I am putting it together under a new concept - “how to be an idiot in lucid dreams”, which seems to fit well with some of the material.

Perhaps the most ridiculous example of sheer futility was when I set up a Casio digital sampling keyboard - with the electrical cord holding the key down (by being pulled under the adjoining keys) and listening through my sleeping period in 1989 to an affirmation regarding “I am aware now, within my dream”. The samples could not be very long, and the same one (sole sample) was assigned across the keyboard of various “artificial pitches” with no formant option (the pitch solely being altered by the length of the sample/sound-wave, a much simpler but entirely useless way to get different pitches - people with authentic perception can easily tell that they are slowed down or sped-up sounds, primarily because the formant is as well - unlike the advanced grain stretching and frequency band with formant manipulation which I find very easy to do these days - I am still agonizing when I hear older recordings that used this older method as well as the ever-irritating and horribly “anyone-can-do-it mentality” stutter and “play any song with any sound” nonsense).

As stated before in an older summary, this did indeed “open” a lucid dream. Throughout my life, it has been a “habit” to have at least one lucid dream every day ever since I can remember (even as a baby) - which is usually the first one upon entering sleep via a hypnagogic portal. However, I have experimented with everything and anything. In this case, I had a dream where…as said before…I spent the entire lucid dream trying to find the source of the sound to stop it! How idiotic is that? Indeed, that is like listening to a hypnotist and then telling him to shut up half-way through because you are trying to be hypnotized.

In this particular dream I was trying to open doors in a long hallway, trying to determine where the sound was coming from, some of the doors being locked. I did not even make the obvious connection that the sound source was outside of my dream environment and in the real world at the time. When I woke, I felt ridiculous in being “tricked” that way.

In the “Knife Nose” dream from early 1970 (which I did not give full references to before, even in title), I was entering my lucid dream awareness. I was in the backyard in Cubitis and it seemed to be late morning. I was facing the south and sitting in an unfinished area of the larger rabbit shed near the concrete block columns. From the carport, a dog was approaching as soon as I started to get an idea on how to dream what I wanted. I got very annoyed, as dogs appearing in my dreams was always bad news in that they would soon attack or try to chase me (which is rather odd, as I do not recall any traumatic events with dogs prior to that stage of my life). I shouted out “You dogs are always ruining my dreams!” From there, the “back spasm” unfolded as the dog immediately growled and ran to me and pressed his nose into the small of my back, causing great pain and an “electrical sensation”. I have had this all my life (actually fairly common now, but not associated with dreaming - it usually occurs before hypnagogic visions kick in more fully). It seems to be some sort of strange threshold between conscious thought and expectation that triggers some sort of muscle spasm in the lower back (but now sometimes also occurs in other areas near the ribs). It is also some sort of strange combination of extreme pleasure and extreme pain. I used to think it was associated with so-called Kundilini energy.

A very similar dream resulted from yelling at a buzzard being in my lucid dream (and being tired of non-lucid dreams where buzzards sometimes posed a threat). A similar response resulted, the buzzard flew down into the carport (as I ran into it) and just as I was sitting down (as in, not making it to the front door of the actual house in time I decided to try to sit down to protect my back), it landed on my back and stabbed me with its beak, causing the exact same “back spasm” event. This seems to be some sort of both causal and premonition-like event in medical science related to “seizure premonitions” related to epilepsy, although I do not have any diagnosed medical condition of this nature. It is very perplexing, though. Which comes first? If I had not responded that way to the “characters” in my dream, would the “back spasm” still have occurred? Again, I am left with a bit of doubt over the threshold or line between premonition and manifestation. What instigates what?

A fairly common event throughout my life (perhaps because I do a lot more walking than many people) regarding the entering of hypnagogic portals each night is that, regarding certain environments that form, I am sometimes rudely kicked out of it. A fairly common event is entering the portal and walking along the streets of a city and developing full lucidity. Sometimes I have a companion, sometimes I am on my own. As I walk I become more and more integrated into my dream. However, there is sometimes the sudden tripping and falling into “nothing” and waking suddenly. There seem to be variations on this. I am already fully in the lucid dream, yet this happens. (Supposedly it only happens to some people AS they are falling asleep, not after - some say the cause is exhaustion, but this is not the case with my experiences, one name for it seems to be “hypnic jerk” although there is something called myoclonus in more extreme cases(?) - it is hard to say with all the weirdness in completely different beliefs about such things, even medically - public credibility failure as usual.)

Finally, getting to the real idiocy. What could be more idiotic and futile (and yes, this has happened to me a few times) then manifesting a lucid dream, and then trying to shut it down over concern of what various characters might think? In a few cases, I have gone around the dream environment, deliberately, yes…deliberately - trying to remove portals and “seeds” (including tulpa templates at the lucid dream level). I mean really, does a movie producer experiencing his greatest potential then decide to say - whoops, I had better change it to conform to what other characters would expect…idiocy at its finest, I would say. I am still not sure why this happens - perhaps some sort of transient state or “phasing” with the minds of other people. I have had a few dreams like this over the years. Sometimes, in my dream, I try to find any book with a reference or particular phrasing to open a portal (sometimes even a supposed talisman) and deliberately destroy it or put it somewhere else (as it is often located with someone else’s belongings somehow). In a recent example, I went through the dream environment to make sure that there were no portals or potential for such, or any evidence on dream manipulation or tulpa manifestation…I did it a few times in the same environment. This is utter idiocy at its most ridiculous extreme. It is like building a great house and then closing off half the rooms because you do not want people to know your house is bigger. Whatever. I am sure will find a “cure” one day. It is like when I “pulsed” the word “girls” many years back - and other phrases for nearly an entire day, and what did I get in-dream? A night-long adventure featuring…squirrels.

Although it certainly is not always the case, I have also held that “I had better be wary of what my real (sleeping) body is doing in real life right now”. Where is the logic of this? I am fully aware I am dreaming and the dream is as vivid as real life - and by all logic, my real physical body would be motionless in bed. Yet I have this concern in the back of my mind that my real physical body could be wandering around in the middle of the street in reality (undressed, yet), perhaps being endangered or some such or perhaps the pillow covering my mouth or perhaps there are visitors in real life and they will see me undressed or whatever. It almost seems logical in a way. There are technically “two different mes” and it seems to be by instinct that concern should be sharply focused for “both”. I have also already stated how “the shadow” seems to be the conscious self in a lucid dream (and perhaps many other types of dreams). I have tested this, and it seems to be true. I have actually caused my physical body to move by getting my shadow to do something while I - as the dreamer - remained still (a different sort of “shadow play”). This is not the rule for lucid dreams in general; in lucid dreams that otherwise had a lot of physical activity AS the dreamer, I was told that I did not move at all during my sleep - during the time period involved (which was sometimes in the daytime or during naps).

      The “great adventure” continues…

    15. First Lucid Dream

      by , 12-04-2013 at 05:41 PM
I wake up in my own room, perform reality checks and I know I was dreaming. I went downstair in the middle of the night. I took my CD case and choose a random CD. I got a film named "Up". Then I watch and begin to command myself to be part of the movie. Then suddenly the dream scene changed and I am in Carl Fredrickson's House (Main character of the movie "Up")
I enjoy flying in his house, looking at his photos, eating his food and looking outside.

Then I forgot the parts after I look outside of the house because it just went blank. When I began to realize that I was dreaming, I ended up in my house watching TV with the film "Up".
