I am walking the floor at work when I notice the guy we’ve trespassed many times. He has on a big black coat, sunglasses, and a hat. He is also pushing a cart and has a few bags. I think he notices me and slowly turns. I go up to him, telling him to leave. I’m not sure if he is or not. There’s someone from mall security here (we’re right outside the Sephora) who is dressed more like a police officer. I turn to him, asking isn’t there anything he can do. He just says no. I become kind of angry and start cussing at the shoplifter.

I’m sitting at the table at Mom’s with a female police officer when a shoplifter shows up. I think he already has a warrant or citation or something like that. He walks in of his own accord, wearing a black shirt and hat. I hesitate and then walk up to him. He takes his wallet out and puts it on the couch. He then pulls out a pocket knife and holds it up to my neck. It is closed but I think it’s a switchblade. I am frozen, not knowing what to do. I think the cop finally says something and he puts it down. I almost think he was kidding around but also think that could have become serious very quickly. He turns around and I put handcuffs on him and walk him back to the table. I go through his wallet and ask him what he did/why he’s here today. He’s not really answering, and the cop’s not really helping either.

I am in my room and have gotten back some girl what has stolen. (She looks like the girl that put sweats in a bag and then a stroller the other day). She is in handcuffs and is casually lounging on my bed. When I look back over, I see she has gotten the handcuffs off. I am initially irritated, but she says they were hurting, so I have a little sympathy and try not to make a big deal out of it. I do trade them for a different pair. I am being pretty cool with her and also feel pretty confident. I sit with a clipboard and tell her it’s her chance to come clean on anything and everything. I try to sound lighthearted, rather than force anything, asking if she’s been hitting us everyday or anything like that. She says no and seems genuine. Scott is here now; I clasp his shoulder and say I miss him around here. He doesn’t say anything but takes on a genuinely sad expression.

    3. The Word of Power

      by , 12-01-2014 at 04:04 PM
This lucid is from an afternoon nap on November 30th, 2014.

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

Lucid #257: The Word of Power

I’m participating in an extreme sport where I have to walk along a skinny white railing, then jump and rope-swing onto the surface of a yacht over and over again. The crowd goes crazy every time that I do this!

Oop, now I’m in a stone chamber below some kind of battle arena, dressed in a badass robotic exoskeleton. Apparently all of that was just training for an upcoming combat. There’s some other exoskeleton-clad guy here who looks like Kevin Durant, and I apparently believe he’s my partner. There’s a grimy mechanic here (an attractive, dark-haired woman in her late 30s) attaching a minigun to his suit.

Kevin Durant hoots with joy and sprays gunfire around the room, shouting about what a genius the mechanic is and how much ass he’s going to kick in the upcoming battle. The mechanic smiles in amusement and calmly walks out of the chamber. All of the action gets me all excited too and somehow it occurs to me that this is like a dream,
      bringing me into lucidity.

The presence of the Kevin Durant character fades and all I can think about is testing out this suit I’m wearing. I wonder whether it has a “bull charge” feature that lets me go charging forward to crash into stuff and whoooosh, there I go! I smash into one of the chamber’s stone walls. (The dream’s frame rate drops dramatically as I do this.) There’s a large button on the wall, and I throw a punch at it. Satisfyingly, it lights up when I hit it!

I go back and forth, crashing into the walls of the chamber until I’m pretty happy with this feature. At some point I notice a huge bearded guy (probably about 10 feet tall) standing in the middle of room in handcuffs, looking surly. I think that he’s supposed to be some kind of sparring partner, so I throw a completely guilt-free punch at him. It just taps him, though, and he doesn’t react beyond shifting his surly gaze to me.

I think that I need to focus my dream control more, and I remember how effective it’s been for me to vocalize my intention and sometimes even use profanity. “Yaaarrrggh!” I blubber, punching the giant in the ribs. It doesn’t feel very effective, though. I follow up with a kick to the upper thigh, loudly exclaiming...

      Spoiler for Very crude language:

as the kick lands. The strike feels really solid and forceful, and the giant grimaces before turning around and walking off. I immediately feel embarrassed that I’ll have to journal that this is how I improved my dream control and wish that I’d chosen a different word.

I start investigating whether there’s a way into the main arena, and as I approach a dusty upward ramp,
      the dream ends.

    4. Bobby Carlyle is a crook

by , 08-11-2014 at 08:15 AM (Lucid Lucy's Dream Explorations)
Non-lucid dream, but still pretty.. ..interesting. Prelude: I've had a crush on Robert Carlyle since I was about 13 (he would have been 38 at the time) and have only recently admitted publicly that I do.

      [Dream]
I'm in a supermarket, working as a cashier. Suddenly Robert Carlyle is brought in, in handcuffs, as he had stolen something in another store. They didn't have any room to keep him, so he was sat down right next to me. We exchanged a few looks, but he was really pissed off. I just continued my work.

      -time gap-

My work day ends and I'm told to escort Robert to prison, which I reluctantly do. Out of freaking nowhere a massive vampier vs humans fight breaks out in the prison, and I'm fighting alongside Sam Winchester (one of the main characters in "Supernatural"). The vampires have found a way to chemically freeze humans (you know, for conservation) and threaten to freeze everyone. (Funfact: they call it Vitrification) Sam and some other guy sacrifice themselves to be frozen so the rest of us have a fighting chance.

The floor in front of them turns to ice, they step on it and freeze from their shoes up to their hair. It looks incredibly painful, but we have to fight the vampires so I sneak my way up to the balcony from which the vampires were looking on. The entire floor below is now ice and I start pushing them off of the balcony and onto the frozen floor, where they freeze just like the humans.

Victorious, I stand up, turn around, and there is Robert Carlyle again, looking at me with sadness in his eyes. It hits me like a brick: he's a vampire too. A new one, I'd say, as the top of his head is missing (remember that scene at the end of KILL BILL? The one where O-ren Ishii is standing there with the very top of her head chopped off? Yeah, that's how Bobby looked.). I look back at him and shake my head. "You really need to get your head checked." I tell him. He half-smiles but it disappears soon as we both know what he has to do now..

      [end dream]

Luckily for me, nothing happened next, but that feeling of understanding and sadness is still with me.
In case anyone didn't grasp it, he was supposed to kill me at the end, as I was the only remaining non-vampire. As I lay awake afterwards, I did imagine that there was another way: conversion. If he had me converted into a vampire, we both could have lived. But in the dream, it didn't occur to either of us, apparently.

    5. Templar Compound

by , 03-03-2014 at 05:30 PM (Into the Ether)
K and I are at the beach, in the ocean but near the shore. We're talking when I notice about 20 backpacks floating in the water nearby. I look at K, she looks at me, we're both thinking the same thing.

      Wtf?

She grabs one. They're unchanged by the water. She wants to take one. I'm not big on stealing and decide to ask somebody about the bags. Somebody says it's fine to take. K is trying to pick one out for me, asking what I want. One is pink on pink, another blue and pink. She holds up a pink one. Pink isn't really my thing. I tell her to grab the white one since she's now swimming in the middle of the bags.

In the middle of this a group of . . . templars? arrive and stand on the beach. They're wearing a sort of greenish uniform with some hard shell padding in the usual places (knees, elbows, etc). They call me over. I get out to see what they want. I'm immediately handcuffed and told that I'm under arrest.

      Wtf?

I look at K for some sort of help with making the mental connect. I thought I was kosher with the templars, we had an arrangement. Judging by the shocked expression on her face, it's clear she has no clue what going on. I tell her not to do anything, let me figure out what's going on first. I'm not sure if she heard me as it was said telepathically.

We arrive at a templar compound and I'm being overseen by one of their higher profile men. There was somewhat of a trial but not really. Judge, jury, and executioner was one person. I'm about to be escorted to my new long term home when I decide this bullshit.

As we're walking, the man is smug about my future. His gait as he's walking and the fact that he leaves a lot of room between us shows me he doesn't consider me a threat. Using this I decide to stray a bit further back, begin to clean up the room we're in, organizing things, making it aesthetically pleasing.

A woman who carries herself with more than enough self confidence walks into the room. She's very pleased with the new look.

My thought process was, in a cell I'll be limited with options. I need to keep out of a cell and to do that, I need to appeal to somebody with power. This woman offered an out.

My escort seemed decently impressed too. In the middle of this pause, news arrives of an impending attack. People get busy, woman leaves, man is left to escort me to the cell again, but since their resources are preoccupied I make a move.

I slip out from the handcuffs and make a run for it. He tries to stop me but I evade his attempts to get a grip on me. The attack has begun and he leaves me to respond.

At the border of the compound there are two templars, young, they don't even look like real templars due to their humanity showing through. It doesn't take me long to convince them that I'm just visiting a friend in the compound and due to the attack, thought it best to leave.

They let me pass the border and soon after I've acquired a vehicle. Finally making it to a very massive highway, I feel a sense of relief. I get my bearings, figuring out where I am. I can't tell really, cities are beneath me and up ahead I can make out storm clouds. I take a closer look and it's a very large storm, almost a hurricane?

Driving straight into it I decide that would offer the best cover. Once I've entered the city I ditch the car and head inside. I head through a parking garage when I hear loud voices talking, they sound like they're looking for somebody. Not taking any chances I decide to leave. I find sort of like an elevator room and pass through one door.

"I think she's over here!" I hear one of them say.

Once I'm in the room, I head to the opposite side of the it, create another door. Pass through that door. Then another door, and another, and another. That should slow them down at least a little.

I still hear them but it's a maze of doors. I take off in another direction and after a brief run I finally approach a wall.

      A door forms.

I open the door and walk in, closing it as I catch my breath. My eyes adjust to the darkness of the room, there's just a faint glow in the center.

A man is standing under the glow and I feel a sense of relief with a mild case of terror. It dawns on me that the one person I seem to trust has no army and no allegiance.

    6. Being a police officer, and two lame lucids.

      by , 01-20-2012 at 03:09 AM (Yuppie's Dream Journal)
I'm a police officer! I walk down this mall, until I see one of my... shall we say acquaintances? I walk into the shop he's in, and see that he's talking to a very attractive girl. I walk towards them, but when I come close, I begin to walk slowly and pretend to be just walking somewhere else. I try to eaves drop on them, curious of what they're talking about, when he sees me and gives me a push. "What are you doing?!" He looks very angry "Nothing.." I say, giving him one of my trademark genious lines. He pushes me again. "Look, you should know that I'm a police officer now.. and it's a big deal to assault a police officer." He pushes me again. "I'm warning you, you can get in alot of trouble.." He pushes me again. "Look! That's it.. I'm going to have to arrest you." He pushes me again, but this time runs off. I chase after him, sturggling to keep up, thankfully he seems to be running around in circles around the shoping centre carpark. I grab hold of him, and tell him to turn around so I can put the handcuffs on him and arrest him. He's uncompliant, so I shove him to the ground, revenge is sweet. "Spread out on the ground!" I shout, I reach back for my handcuffs. I look to my left, and to my right, my belt is empty! You've got to be kidding me I think. I try to mantain my confidence while I tell him to keep still, so he doesn't find out. Typically, however, he does, and runs off far far away. I'm faced with a menu like in tom clancy's rainbox six vegas 2: "start from checkpoint, return to main menu" I choose start from checkpoint and find myself back in the shopping centre, with the guy just about to take off. This time I look down, and find my belt with the items I need. A tazer, a gun, handcuffs, and a big instruction manual. They're in awkward places though, for example my gun is WAY down my leg, making it very hard to reach, my handcuffs are at the back of my belt, as if I had stretchable hands. My tazer, is in a good place, but it's still wrapped in plastic, with the batteries waiting to be places inside. I decide to fix everything up, and wait for him to get away, so I can restart. I choose start from checkpoint once again, and begin running after my acquaintance. I look back and see two other police officers running about ten metres behind me, in the same direction. However, they turn out to be trying to get someone else, I ask for help anyway. "Can you guys split up, one of you can help me, and the other can still get your guy." The seem to agree, and the fat one of the two turns to come my way, but I say "Can I have the skinny one, there's running involved." Even though it doesn't make sense, considering they were both running at the same rate before, and we all have to run anway. They don't seem to mind though, and the fitter one comes with me. We both run after him, and we're very close, when he changes directions all of a sudden. My partner doesn't miss a beat, but I'm put off, and it takes me a while to get back on track. I turn the corner and see the guy has already been handcuffed and is being read his rights. "Book him dano" I say, trying to make a joke out of it, and hide the fact that I'm sad about not proving myself as a cop. He's taken away, so I look around for another oppurtunity to prove myself , this time with my tazer drawn so they'll listen to me. I have no luck, and I wake up

      -next dream-

I can't remember how, but I become lucid, someone tells me I''m pretty sure. I summon a badger. I wake up.

      -next dream-

I become lucid again, can't remember how. This time I focus on deilding after I wake up from a lucid. Doesn't work.

      -Next dream-
I have this bow and arrow thing, and I'm sitting in the sunroom of my house with dad next to me, with it drawn. It pulls back REALLY far! I ask dad where I can shoot it. He points to the door leading into the sunroom, the one with wire mess through the holes from the frame. The wooden arrow snaps in half (not sure why) before I can shoot it, but I release the string with tension on it anyway, and suprisingly it fly straight for the door, and hits dead centre in the mesh. "See, I told you it was accurate" dad says.

      -next dream-

I know this one was fairly long, I can't remember what happend, but I was in like an animated world with talking animals, and they wanted me to do something..

    7. Randomness after loosing lucidity: Weird handcuffs, place from American Dad, jet going to warp speed

      by
      Hyu
      , 12-20-2010 at 01:54 AM (Hyu's Adventures)
This is after over 2 weeks of not remembering a single dream at all...

      Awake / Comment
      Non Lucid
      Lucid

      1. Clarity: 3/10
        Importance: 2/10

… I enter an unknown house with some friends (2 I think). They need to do something and go upstairs.
I stay in the hallway waiting for them to come back. For some reason I question that this is reality and perform the nose pinch RC.
I’m indeed dreaming. Before I can fully grasp that I am lucid, I notice I’m soaked wet and wearing nothing but a bath towel.
In the very same moment a man enters the hallway and is quite surprised to find me here.
“Who are you? And what are you doing here?”
Not really sure how to make sense as to why I am standing alone in his house, wet and dressed in nothing but a towel, I tell him.
“Yeah… I’m here to meet Christian”, as I recall that one of the guys I entered the house with was named Christian.
He shakes his head and is clearly annoyed, and quite confused, but leaves me alone and goes into another room.
This sudden event throws me off quite a bit, I completely forget to stabilize the dream or set myself any goals. Due to this the dream isn’t very clear, and I’m not as aware as I usually am.
I completely forget that I am still on a quest to meet “her" (http://www.dreamviews.com/f11/recurr...er-dcs-106461/) again.
I decide to explore the house, but I don’t really have a proper goal for this dream. I walk down the hallway, past the kitchen, where the man I met before and his wife are having a discussion.
I wonder if they’re talking about me. I continue down the hallway and go downstairs. I get the idea to use some form of dream control, but I’m not really sure what to do.
I try to summon someone inside the room downstairs… not sure whom to summon, I settle with the idea of a cute girl about my age. That’s pretty much all the details I use.
As I enter the room I find a cute girl, about my age, watching TV. I’m happy that I can still do this easily, even though I barely had any lucids lately, or recalled any dreams for that matter.
She’s confused. I intruded into her room and she doesn’t know me. She clearly wants to say something, but she can’t find the right words.
I use some more dream control, I want to make sure she doesn’t scream or something like that.
I try to charm her by projecting my energy onto her. She completely forgets I’m an intruder and embraces me. She can barely stand, maybe I overdid it?
I didn’t really account for how much energy I wanted to use, it was more like a random reflex, and I have no idea how much energy I used.
“Kiss me!” she says. Well... who am I to deny this lovely lady a kiss, somehow thinking that I’m pulling a bit of a Hank Moody.
I enjoy the kiss, but I can feel her whole body shaking, I really must have overdone it with the energy projection.
Suddenly, my vision fades. Damnit! I forgot to stabilize the dream.

      2. Clarity: 2/10
        Importance: 2/10

I notice I haven’t moved yet after waking up. I immediately try to recreate the scene from my dream since I’m still somehow half in it.
I can still feel some remains of the girl’s body heat, but I see through the eyes of my real body, which are closed…
Suddenly I’m back in the dream. It didn’t really feel like a typical WILD transition, it was way too fast, still, I’m convinced it was a DEILD.
… I notice the girl is gone, which is quite confusing... and there are 2 armed men in the room. Oops? This can’t be good.
The man I met earlier is there. “You tried to steal my most precious belonging!”
What is he talking about? Ooooh, right! I’m a thief and I’m here to steal something from him, in fact, I already stole it…
I lose lucidity at this point, after all the thief story made so much sense *cough*.
I have no idea what the item is that I stole, but I strongly believe I have it in my possession, and that I was hired to steal it.
Both of the armed men draw their guns, time to get the hell out of here. I instinctively draw my own gun and shoot a bullet just past both of them.
This startles them quite a bit and gives me enough time to run around the next corner. They try to shoot me, but I’m a thief, obviously they’re never going to hit me at that distance.
I keep running down a corridor and know how to get out of the building.
(It’s different from the house I was originally in)
One of the men reappears in front of me; he must have found a shortcut. I need to go past him though, but I don’t want to shoot him.
I try to knock him unconscious with my gun and he falls to the ground. The other guy is getting way too close, I don’t have a choice, I shoot him in the chest and he drops dead.
Shooting the gun was hard (physically) I remember that I often experience that in non-lucid dreams, but I do not notice that I am dreaming.
For some reason I know I’m running out of ammo, I decide to pick up the semi-automatic gun dropped by the guy I knocked unconscious.
Unfortunately, the blow to his head wasn’t strong enough, he was still awake. Before I am able to grab his gun, he puts some kind of metallic spring onto my right index finger.
It looks like one of the springs used in pens. It’s rotating around my index finger, and with every rotation it adds another layer of spring.
I try to stop the rotation with my middle finger, but it just starts rotating around both.
I try to use my left hand to pull it off, but it starts rotating around both hands. Well, this is a very annoying but highly effective device. There is no way I’ll be able to remove it here.
I start running again, and remember this place in Thailand which to a normal person seems like a place where you can get your nails colored, but it’s actually a good spot to get handcuffs removed.

(I saw an episode of American Dad before going to bed, and Roger went to exactly that place to get his handcuffs removed)
I successfully stole the item, I just need to make a stop there and it’ll be all good…
… I’m in a car with 2 people. They’re associates of the one who hired me to steal the item. They’re bringing me to the airport so I can leave on a plane.
As we approach the plane I notice that it’s a concord. Do they still make those? No they’re not… I wonder if this is a dream?
My thought process gets interrupted by someone shooting at our car. The driver startles and drives our car straight into the landing gear of the plane, what an idiot.
I get out of the car. The pilot of the plane is not amused and goes to warp speed. Wtf?
One of the guys I was in the car with says “Did you see this, this thing accelerated this fast on only 6 out of 8 engines!”
He’s right, only 6 of the thrusters were lit… The dream fades away…

Just some boring dreams about work the last 2 days but a non-related work dream fragment worth noting, I guess.

      Alien Handcuffs

My potential alien dream guide continues to turn against me. First it was after my eternal soul the other day and now it places me in weird, biological, and slimey alien handcuffs. That is all I remember.
