    1. Lucid and Regular Dreams - Morning of Dec 27

      by , 12-29-2017 at 11:26 PM
The following lucid dreams were not extremely vivid, but were numerous (for me) and groundbreaking nonetheless. Although I forgot to do any stabilization techniques or RCs, I remembered to yell "More Lucidity Now!" and ask several DCs if they were my dream guide! All in all, it was an eventful night.

In the beginning of the night I had a few nonlucids, which I have little memory of. The first I can remember was in a humongous supermarket -- I'm starting to add skewed, elongated, or infinite spaces as one of my dream signs -- I was with a girl and possibly others down a long aisle that reminded me of the pet food/accessories aisle in Walmart irl. I wrote down in my DJ that I asked the girl something about dream characters, but I can't remember anything more specific.

Note: That night I went to sleep on my parent's couch, tired after a long day, tried a glass of apple juice as an oneirogen for the first time, and took .75mg of melatonin.

The first lucid dream I had started in a dark room. I could see two silhouettes in the lighted doorway -- a woman and a man. At first they were completely dim, but soon their silhouettes had horizontal rainbow stripes projected on them. I asked them repeatedly if they were my dream guide, and after that they left. I freed myself from standing still and walked through the doorway. It was an office-like room with a circular table in the middle. The lighting wasn't bright, but wasn't all the way dim -- the best way I can describe it was a blue overcast. On the central table and possibly throughout the office were full-sized Christmas trees (not the ones you put on tables as decorations). There were 20-30 people (workers?) sitting around the central table and at other desks along the walls which had large '50s era computers and control desks from a disaster movie lining them. There was an older lady who either had white hair or was bald. I got the feeling she was mean. I asked her if she was my dream guide and she responded with a scowl (I don't remember her saying anything -- possibly she mouthed something and didn't verbalize it?). I screamed "More Lucidity Now!". I don't remember the dream getting noticebly more vivid, but the old woman looked physically hurt after I said it. I screamed it again, and each time I screamed it, she got angrier and her face started running with blood from her scalp. Despite this, she seemed alright and she wasn't directly confrontational with me (she either walked off or faded out -- I can't remember). I believe this dream came from watching The Santa Clause (1 & 2) with my family.

The next dream, I was in a large, dimly lit brick room (not red brick, this was more like the beige brick of an old Italian house) with an open window. I maneuvered out of it and sat on the ledge, then reached above where I knew there would be a broom (I hadn't planned this or thought it out -- this sort of makes me think that the beginning of this could have been a dream *about* having a lucid dream rather than a lucid dream, but when I awoke I was convinced it was lucid the whole time!). Looking out, I could see many of these blocky buildings expanding out horizontally. In front of me it seemed like these buildings were actually raised high up because there was a sort of drop off point with a ~100ft radius. I grabbed the broom and flew down off the windowsill. It felt amazing! I remember trying to figure out the rules for flying as I was flying, and the actual mechanics changing dynamically -- I could feel my conscious mind working it out -- does the right hand stabilize while the left pulls up? Which hand goes over the other? As I continued to fly I saw below me several stormtroopers infighting and the red lasers of blasters.

Next I had several chained False Awakenings. During each of these, I would wake up and reach out for the chair that was pulled up to the couch irl, and grab the number 2 pencil and 8.5x11 sheet of paper (not there irl). Each time I did this I would write down my previous dreams. The first time, my grandpa stopped by and complained about something (it was still dark out). In the next FA, I wrote down this dream below the spot where (in the last FA) I had written down my previous dreams. But there was nothing written there! This triggered lucidity immediatelyI got up and walked into my parents' bedroom and put my hand over my mom's face (who looked somewhat like the old woman from my Christmas dream). After this, I talked to her about something (perhaps asked if she was my dream guide -- unsure).

In another FA, I got up, walked over to a picture frame that used to be near the kitchen in my childhood, and pressed my face against it. It was a reflective black and I could see other people's faces in it (in white). I tried with some success to summon specific faces, but the final one I was trying trying kept eluding me.

On the whole, these FA-sparked dreams in my house gave me quite a spooky vibe.

After this, there was a semi-lucid fragment where I was walking up a small, cramped staircase, but either my focus was waning and the visuals were dying, or, as part of the dream, there was a large black/white spot covering a portion of my vision like an eclipse.

I wrote in my DJ that I had several other fragments, some of which I felt were lucid, but I can't remember them now. I feel as though I might have returned to the supermarket from the beginning of the night and been lucid then, but I can't remember.

Note: there were points where, during the dreams, I wouldn't necessarily RC or spot a dream sign and then realize I was dreaming -- rather it was like I was lucid the whole time and I simply willed myself into a participatory role. This was an interesting feeling.

Because I'm unsure about the validity of some of these dreams, I'm going to mark the lucid count for this night as 4, which is amazing for me! I'm still excited about this two days later. Happy dreaming!
    2. Overwatch and a lucid!

      by , 12-19-2017 at 03:03 PM (Exterminate)
So it turns out I have been doing this all wrong for around 3 months. I have been setting an alarm after 5 hours' sleep, and have only been writing dreams down sporadically. Around 3 days ago I started watching a ton of videos by a youtuber named Tipharot. He mentioned it would be better using a vibrate alarm around 6 hours after sleep, not just 6 hours after getting into bed. He also recommends trying multiple techniques to get a lucid dream. Well this morning I turned off my loud alarm that would sort of jolt me awake a lot of times, and I just told myself I'd wake up after 6 hours / 5 am. I did set up a backup vibrate alarm for a bit after 6 hours, but I woke up naturally this morning.

      Discord
Had a particularly bad session of Overwatch, so I went on discord to discuss my frustration. There were people saying Overwatch sucked at the moment because streamers were showing exploits in the game of mercy getting guaranteed critical hits any time she moved, and Junkrat keeping ult change if he just spammed it.

      Baseball
I kept trying to hit tennis balls with a shovel? I wasn't successful and people kept laughing at me. I attributed it to me being new at it and the tennis balls being all dented.

      Success!
I was going with the flow of a dream, and tried doing reality checks at one point, but they all failed. I was driving in a car and things started appearing around me. I asked if it was a dream, plugged my nose, tried putting fingers through palms, and none of it seemed off. A bit later down the road I snapped out of it and said "Wait. yes, this is a dream." I was a bit worried that the RCs hadn't worked, but I was focused mroe on stabilizing the dream, since it was very low quality. I just tried seeing more things. I got out of the car and rubbed my hands together. I smelled my armpit, I licked the ground, I even ate some grass. This did all stabilize the dream, but it wasn't extremely vivid. I guess it felt pretty real, but I have had much more clear and vivid dreams in the past. I walked inside this store and thought about my goals. I decided against searching for a dream guide, given my location and circumstance. I looked around the store and decided to grab an icee. I filled it up and walked up to the cashier. I knew I could just walk away with it, but I wanted to try a tip Tipharot taught. I said to the person "Thanks for the icee, the car is out front." She just sort of blankly responded with "Oh yeah..." and walked away. I noticed on my way out that the two employees looked like the same person.

I wanted to try this jedi mind trick again, so I walked up to another woman and said "Oh yeah, you were going to give me your shirt, weren't you?" She just called me a pervert and ran away. I tried summoning a portal to escape but had no success. I said aloud "Portal!" No effect. I then said it in my head- no effect. I took a bit of grass and threw it hard on the ground and shouted portal, but nothing showed up. I saw red and blue lights coming around the corner and I woke up.

      More Overwatch
I couldn't see much. Almost everything was pitch black, except some people and objects. I got my bearings and found I was playing a variant of mei from Overwatch. I was racking up kills in no time, as I found nobody could see me, just as I couldn't see my surroundings. I came face to face with a widowmaker who had a new weapon. It was some sort of freeze ray that shot a slow projectile specifically for taking out meis. She fired almost all her shots into thin air. She was facing 90 degrees away from me and couldn't find where I was. I made myself visible, and she missed her last shot on me. She became furious, grabbed my neck and started yelling about my hero choice, my performance, the game, etc. I couldn't help but just smile, which made her more mad. I tried saving the moment using shadowplay, but then the dream ended. (Saves the last 3 mins game footage if you have a newer nvidia graphics card.)

My dreams were fairly difficult to recall, and were of a lower quality, but I haven't been dream journaling much and I am just getting the hang of it again. Quality should improve soon.
    3. Back to Journalling.

by , 12-12-2017 at 04:11 AM (MoSh's DJ: The Best Dream Journal in The Universe.)
I've had some lucids over the past 2 weeks but have made no time to write them down until now.

      Basement

Became lucid in the basement of a house. Ran outside looking for my house (whenever I'm lucid IN MY HOUSE, for some reason I assume it's the wrong house) I call out to Asuka a few times. I try Time Dilation instead (Have no idea if my/Hukif's method works, it gives a bit longer lucids but not by much.) I put my hand on the ground and count the spaces between my fingers (this method of counting is what works for me instead of staring at one spot.) Each time the amount of fingers i have doubles making more spaces to count as unit of time. The extra fingers look fake. I count to 90 but the counting seems super sped up. Then I see I have hundreds of tiny black fingers that are so small it's impossible to count between them. By now the distortions are crushing me so I jump really high to escape them. I land on the sidewalk and the dream begins to black out. (No panic here this is very common trying this method, I usually enter another dream instantly lucid.

FA, Instantly lucid in the basement. I find a mirror where I look like a woman. I try to take my top off to see myself but keep getting more shirts underneath. I start looking like my normal self again. Decide o look for Raven so I call out to her again, Walking through doors trying to make hem a portal to her dream.

I come out the front of the house. There's 2 women outside that look like fake Ravens. I ask them if they are raven. They look kind of scared and don't even answer. I say, "I know a way to prove you are not raven." So I attack them knowing raven would fight back. A woman who may have been asuka runs up to me and asks me to stop attacking children. I keep saying this isn't my house and none of these people are raven. Asuka says it IS my house. I still don't know it's Asuka so I decide to attack her next by taking her hair and throwing her by the hair a few houses down. I run up to her but she teleports me back to the basement. I run out the door again when I wake up.

Why is my dream self so violent and psycho???

      Random lucid

I was in a basement in a giant building. I was on some weird sciency tech team studying parallel universes. Me and some woman go to the parallel universe through a door. We exit the building and both agree that this exit is in a different location than the one we are use to.

Some time later I'm running through a part of the building that is under construction. I find i can jump high and do Parkour stuff. This makes me lucid. And it transfers to outside some how. I start flying in the air and see an angelic being or Jesus, something like that so I decide to attack him for some reason?. I go to grab him but exit the dream.

      Bjork explains

I fly down to some cabin in the woods type house that is also kind of fancy. Asuka is standing by Bjork. I tell Bjork I'm lucid now. She said she remembered something from the blank spaces she has between dreams, she remembered talking to her boyfriend. (the periods when awake apparently in this state she remembers waking life as if they are fleeting dreams). She says no wonder I was hesitant to be so involved. I told her that i read an interview where she mentioned a boyfriend. She touches y face and smiles. Her face changes from older to younger and tells me to just let these dreams be what they are. I say yes I'm fine with that. The dream ends fast.

      Tricky

Me and my brother were in some weird building inside of a mountain. We kept going into an elevator that led to a giant spinning room where a ghost or something killed you and then you were teleported into the hallway again.

After a few times my brother went on ahead somewhere else. I ran into a group of guys wanting to try the same room. They told me you had to pour salt water on the ghost and handed me a glass. We all went into the spinning room, and when the ghost appeared we all poured salt water on it. It turned into a solid-ish girl with brown hair, maybe a friendly looking older Samara... if that's even possible. She smiled at me and I smiled back. Then gave me an evil mean face. One of the guys said That he thinks she likes me and I should ask her out. I just shrug and wake up.

      Beam

I'm walking with Roland from the dark tower. We are in a rundown city with old rusted cars everywhere. We run into a guy by a mechanic shop wearing greased overalls. Roland asks him if he seen the path of the beam? The man saiys his basement was built to follow it a ways. Roland asks if his basement goes all the way to the dark tower? The man says no. Roland follows the man inside. I wait outside and look up in the sky and wonder why we can't see the path of the beam in the sky anymore?
    4. Various LD snippets during Thanksgiving break (Mornings of Nov 23 - Nov 27) Part 1

      by , 12-10-2017 at 06:24 AM
Unsure what happened before becoming lucid. My field of vision is flat like a computer screen, alternatively flashing between blue and red flashing (like a computer screen) - there is a thin white rectangular border. Centered white or black text reads "Obek" (may have been in Cyrillic) and another word, but each time I read it the word changes. I can feel myself sliding along a fixed path. I pass into a small office building with a desk and a man to my left - reminds me of college. The man sitting at the desk has a scary face, not just intimidating or creepy but instilling great fear. I overcome it and reach out to touch his hand as I pass by him in the way I'm being pulled. Can feel the sensation of touching it distinctly. I slide through an open doorway and to a hallway leading left and right, the track takes me left. I am then turned around and taken backwards (in the same direction as I was coming from while going through the office) and I pass into a warehouse/art studio/garage type building (lots of stuff here - canvas draped over boxes, easels, concrete floors, foggy windows with light coming through). I go forward until I stop at a distorted mannequin standing up against some stacked crates. In retrospect the face was disturbing, but I didn't think about it at the time. I use my hands with pinching gestures to change the facial features into an attractive female (her body changes from mannequin to living flesh). She is wearing a tee shirt and panties. There is a brief sexual encounter and then I wake up promptly (after a feeling of closing my dream eyes).

I'm with my girlfriend at a party and we're holding a balloon that's shaped like lips (one of the shiny ones you get from Dollar Tree) and arguing. It's an outdoor party and it's night time. There are snakes on the ground and in the trees. The non-lucid portion of this dream lasts a while and I'm separated from my girlfriend. All of the sudden I sit down, touch the grass, and become lucid. Visual clarity intensifies, and I examine the dream characters more closely, especially a girl with black hair which seems to have this hazy red aura (as if it was a red underdrawing). I am looking around at all the characters when I look past the back fence at a house with a light on in one of the windows and the outline/silhouette of someone. I'm transported there and I continue to observe. It's a small room with a raised stage with white linen borders. There are several people in the crowd standing and watching, a lot of them dressed in white (not all though, some in normal clothes). On the stage there are three girls dressed in white. They begin to undress and I wake up.

I'll add more tomorrow, trying to scrounge through my notes from that time.
    5. Lucid Dream - Morning of Dec 8, 2017

      by , 12-10-2017 at 01:48 AM
This was my first LD since joining DV!

I was looking out of the front door window of my childhood home (the drapes were pulled back, and the . It was a foggy night or early morning outside. I see my mom leaning up against the van she used to own, talking on her cell phone - the yard was longer than in reality (most spatial areas tend to be skewed and expanded in my dreams). It's also dark in my foyer, so I walk through into the living room. The furniture is a lot more crowded than my real living room, and I'm still psyched out from a previous dream about people hiding in my home, so I scan the dark room for signs of life. All of the sudden, I look at my hands and realize I'm dreaming!

Everything pops into vivid color. The dense furniture of the living room is gone and the only thing there is a long table close to the kitchen (the room is skewed longways). There's a huge amount of food on the table, so I approach it. I remember to rub my hands together, and the stabilization is amazing! The lights are now dim, but definitely on. I pick up a salt shaker, then a food item (an apple maybe?) remembering this tip, but it doesn't do much to stabilize the dream. While walking, my balance is kind of off (feeling all the sensations of my dream body is still new to me, as I've had plenty of brief moments of lucidity, but maybe 2-3 really vivid ones).

At this point I'm scared I'm going to lose the dream, so I fall to the ground on my hands and knees, and it helps a lot. I can hear a faint Christmas song coming from the kitchen (where the lights are off). I try to draw a door on the wood floors, and I see a faint white outline there, like when you press down on a computer screen. I wasn't clear with my intentions though, and halfway through drawing it, I get stuck somewhere between visualizing a deep ocean, then a deep ocean with a rock below and above. Because of my loose convictions, the door fails. I stand up and read a Christmas card that my family has taped to the door (or it might just be a decoration - they tend to do this kind of thing come Christmas). I remember what everyone says about text in dreams and read it once (nonse with a few real words in no clear order), then close it and read it again. The text changed! I thought, "Wow, that's neat!". Rather than fading back into a waking state, I feel as if I closed my dream eyes and simply popped into wakefulness.

As far as the process, I woke up about 5 hours into my sleep and used SSILD (I thought it was unsuccessful after doing it, as I was "too awake" and it took some time to get back to sleep). I'll definitely be doing this technique again! Although it was relatively short (20-30 seconds), it was one of my longest LDs yet! Very exciting stuff.

I also wrote some other non-lucid dreams in my phone, but I don't have time to transcribe them here right now. I'll try to be better about DJing, but I might have to add all entries for a week on a set day or something as it takes some time for me to write these out. That's it for now!
    6. Various Dreams, Getting chased by Ninjor and Lucidity! ^_^

by , 12-08-2017 at 10:15 PM (My Robotic imagination)
I wake in the middle of the night and there is a closet near my bed that I always check to make sure that it is closed. Last Night I was so tired that I didn't bother doing so, So when I wake up in the middle of the Night it was open and all dark inside except for my clothes hanging inside and minor things and such. This is when the SP and false awakening Start. I get slightly afraid of it but not enough to bother closing it and I go back to sleep. Please take note that I'm laying sideways at the foot of my bed with the closet at my feet and the window at my head. Anyhow, I fall asleep and a few minutes later without even realizing it, I find myself sitting on the brown carpeted floor in front of my closet, playing with something. I wake back up with that image in my head and thought, so you want to try to give me a nightmare do we? Even with slight fear I ignored it, occasionally looking at the closet and went back to sleep. I feel myself drift in and out of SP with my feeling the tickling sensation and jerking here and there. I wake up for about 20 minutes to get rid of the aggressive SP and then drifted back to sleep.

I find myself back at Raymond which IRL is torn down.

In the dream I start off in my mom's room that was empty but junky. There was a light on and I can see that things were missing. The first thing I noticed was the mirror dresser. The TV that is usually sitting on top of it in the corner was gone along with various other things that were once there like lotions, jewelry, hair stuff etc. The only thing that was on top left was a dusty outline where the TV once was and other useless things, such as wires, strings and more dust back where the mirrors where at. Speaking of the mirrors, the two tall mirrors that were connected to the back of the dresser was also missing, it was just the tracks the the mirror slid down into. I figured that since we no longer lived here and now in the process of moving things out that some one in the family came by to help out with the rest of the moving process or some people busted in here and stole the things out of here. Next to the dresser on the floor were two radios. One was an old 1990s looking realistic (brand name) table radio.
      Attachment 9820

It was light brown in color and had a knob turner. it was obviously broken as I can see the the cord was missing and there were frayed wires on the back of the radio where the cord once was. Next to it was a more modern looking radio. It was black and silvery grey in color, much like mine that I have IRL with the stylized boomboxes and what not. The boombox was on and was playing some kind of music, possible me hearing the jazz music that I always have playing softly in the background from the waking world. For some strange reason the people that come in here would always leave this radio one and never bothered it so it has been on for God knows how long. Anyhow there was no bed in this room, it too have been taken out by someone. There was stuff like hangers, paper and some pieces of the beds frame that supported the mattress. It was dark out and then I suddenly realized that I needed to get out of here in case who ever it is staying here returns, since it looked like it was still inhabited from it being power here. I hastily made my way through a lit hallway and down the steps. That dream ended with me rounding a corner on the landing and to the next flight of steps that led down into the living room.

      Next segment.

I'm lucid from an SP that I felt after the closet opening and start off semi lucid. I'm outside doing the old way of calling robots into my dream. It looked like it was dusk out and I was having issues remembering who the recent zords I was with IRL. I manage to think oh wait a sec, I can just try to dream about characters who are small like Optimus Primal, SD Gundam or Auric. I ended up thinking about Ninjor but wanted to avoid him since we are at Odds with each other. Playing Power Rangers Legacy he has gotten in the way of some of my matches and I ended up talking shit to him and taking out both him and what I thinks to be his girl, Odonna. So I avoided him but unfortunately he ended up appearing and he saw me. "Ninjor! He shouted in his wavy voice and he charged at me. I ran down a hall and into a room and looked to see if I can jump out of a window. I go into what looks like an unlit office room and over to a window. Birdseye landscape. Even though I know it is a dream it was just too high for me.Nope. I turned to run back out, but Ninjor blocked of the door way. "Hahaa!" He laughed mockingly. "I've got you now!" He charged into the room and I ran back behind a table and up against the back wall opposite from the windows. I spotted another way out and Ninjor saw it too and tried to block that off but failed, just missing me by a hair with his grasp. I'm going up flights of stairs and every time I look back just as I'm rounding corners I can see a glimpse of his blue color coming up right behind me. As we are running high up the scene slowly changes and I began to see lava appearing. I entered a room and most of the floor is glowing hot and I run out on a thin strip of safety. Ninjor Sees this and was actually trying to get me out of there and somehow he slips and falls into the lava tiles. And I'm disappointed in my dream ending with my robotic DC getting killed. I see his now limp body sank into the lava and vanishes under the yellow hot surface. Oh yeah? Well then I can go with him. I jump down into the lava expecting the worse. It was not hot and I can now see Ninjor Rising up out of the lava but he was laying down. Something was rising him up and as soon as it got done Ninjor shot up and looked at me. Panicked I ran to the door entering the room and looked back expecting him to come after me but he didn't. He seemed a bit off. He was looking around and not saying anything. I decide to see what was up with my chaser but being careful to not let him get me. The black visors which was his eyes has what looks to be slight rust on the edges. The lava had temporarily blinded Ninjor and he was seemingly becoming more upset.

      Next segment

      Sexual dream

These are dreams I usually use to become aroused and get that feel good sensation in. Usually it results in me waking up,I would have it for only a few seconds before it would fade away. IRL I thought what if I achieve this without instantly waking up from the feeling? This is what I got.

I usually keep these dreams private but since it is part of this long dream I will include it here. In this dream I start off in a large house. I'm talking with people then at some point and time I get lucid and became aware. No one is home at this time and I walking around in this house, trying to find away outside, as I'm doing so the arousal came into thought. So I start looking around for something gross to happen to me. I walked into a bathroom that is the size of a dinning room and on top of something I found a used douche. I knew it was used because the water inside of it was mostly gone and the nozzle was opened and out. Perfect. As soon as I picked it up the dream shifted and found myself in another bathroom that was much smaller then the other one I was just in. I'm now standing infront of an unseen mirror and behind me was a tub with curtains around it. I didn't pay it no mind and started to stick myself with the douche but as soon as that happened, I suddenly fell backwards into the tub that was full of water. I fuss abit at the dream as to why it did that while I was getting ready to receive the arousal and I get the feeling that it knew what it was doing. So now I'm, in a tub of water and continue on, poking my self and achieving my dream feeling. Arousal shot up into my body and and that good feeling exploded into me. After about 4 or 5 seconds it disappears and I take out the douche but then feel myself began to wake up. Shit! Suddenly the water swishes around and I'm sucked underneath it and is still able to breath freely. I felt the water the smelled like peroxide rush over the top of me and the waking sensation disappeared. I was now one with the water and the dream knew it. So it teleported me taking some lucidity with it to the outside of the tub where I was now standing up with people. Somehow this dream managed to keep me inside after the successful sensation. I'm talking with people and we are there fishing around with our hands in a huge, metal thing that is full of cloudy blue water. I also have my hands inside and is wondering how am I'm not scared of this water even after I'm aware that I'm dreaming? I look into the water and I can see bits and pieces of what looks to be cooked crab meat inside. I quickly took my hands out of there and then I think I woke up but was in SP. Dream was not ready to release me yet ^_^

Anyhow I reenter the dream and now I'm back at the house I started off in when I was at the start of this segment. I walk around a bit and looked out the window and seen that we were above clouds and I can only see the tips of what looks to be evergreen trees. Further off in the distance there was fog and I seen the Thunder Megazord. He was colossal and walking around but I was too far away to get his attention. He turned and disappeared into the fog.

Ninjor reappeared with his sight back and this time he charged and caught me, causing me to wake up, for real.

Last night, I had a dream where I was in the living room of my old house. It was dark and shadowy, the stairway and kitchen entrance fading into pitch black. I wasn't at all put off by this at the time, but in retrospect, it was a rather creepy, horror game type lighting.

As with all of my lucid dreams, I got a random inkling that I was dreaming. I plugged my nose and sure enough I could still breathe and was indeed dreaming.

Alright, time to get down business. I tried to summon someone. I envisioned her appearing; nothing happened. I called her name; nothing. "Oh right," I thought to myself, "I need to focus and be aware." I plugged my nose once more and checked out my hands to reaffirm that I was dreaming; could still breathe, and my fingers were deformed. Then I took time to be aware of myself and my surroundings. Then, I once again attempted to summon my friend. I called out, looking around, envisioning her coming down the stairs. Nothing. No matter how many times I tried, nothing happened.

In fact, nothing whatsoever was happening. It was just me in this pseudo-horror room. Eventually I woke up without accomplishing anything. I don't have lucid dreams often (as I mentioned, I've only ever gotten them randomly, never by induction methods), but this sort of thing has happened with the last few I've had. I've had almost no control these past few lucids, even though I've had little trouble controlling them in the past when I didn't even bother trying to ground myself.

I think it lasted longer than most of my lucids though.

LD 100 - Teleporting Bed and Slow Rain Personal goal attempt #17

I'm at my parents' place and wake up in my bed. The bed is in the hallway near the bathroom. My brother is still up, eating and watching TV. He sees me and is a bit confused why I'm there. I'm confused too. I go back to my room, jump in the bed and fall asleep.

I dream about watching a Rocket League match with my dad. The map is a set of floating islands. The real game isn't like this. A car flips and slides off the map. I tell my dad that as long as the wheels touch a surface, they are fine.

I wake up again. This time my bed is in the room my dad usually works in. I find this weird. I see dad sitting on the other side of the room just looking at me.

"Don't you find it weird that I just appeared here?" I ask him.

He shrugs and doesn't say anything. I look at my hand and count seven fingers. I look back at my dad.

"Well that explains it, should have started with that."

Dad just smiles. I get up and decide to stabilize first by touching things. I'm in my brother's old room all of a sudden. I touch a lamp shade. It's white and looped strings hang from it. I roll the strings between my fingers and it feels like it should. This lamp was in my brother's room, but was removed many years ago. The entire room was like a time machine to 2004. Strangely detailed memory...

There was a DC sitting in the room. Might have been my father or a random man, I didn't focus on him. I walked towards the door of the room. My personal goal was clear on my mind. I didn't tell the door where it had to take me. I was confident I would find my way to the Frozen planet without forcing it. So I just expected the door to lead me somewhere cool. It led exactly where it does in real life. Didn't bother me. The doorway to the kitchen was partially covered with winter coats. I walked to the kitchen.

"I'm a teleporter." I said out loud to gain confidence.

I looked out the window and tried to teleport outside. I failed and used the door instead. So far the dream has been quiet and empty like my lucid dreams usually are. It was hard to say what time of day it was. No direct sunlight, but it wasn't dark either. As I walked further from the house, I noticed there were more apple trees next to the house and they led to a forest that isn't there in waking life. It wasn't raining in the driveway, but it rained under the apple trees. An unnatural, slow and uniform rain with tiny green apples falling along with the raindrops. The tiny apples were the size of peas. Some sunlight shined through the mysterious forest, illuminating individual raindrops too. I got a strong sense of the dream wanting me to go that direction, so I made my way past the apple trees. The rain was gentle like snow, I could barely feel it hitting me. I looked around for a portal of some kind. Then I heard my phone notification sound. My focus was removed from the dream when I worried who would send me a message at this time. I lost the dream and woke up.
No messages irl, my SC made the noise!

      LD 101 - Unkillable Murderer
A serial killer had kidnapped me. I had managed to beat him in a fight and hid his body among a pile of other stuff. Someone was at his door. For absolutely no reason, I decided to act like I was the serial killer. I opened the door. A man asked for some money I had promised. I looked around the house for it and found some envelope with debit cards and codes. I gave that to the man outside and he started looking through it.

Suddenly the serial killer was alive again and behind me. The scene changed around us. We were in my parents' place, in my old bedroom. The man who I gave the money had a scalpel now. I thought he would defend me, but he was the first to attack. He threw the scalpel straight into my open mouth and it stuck out from the back of my head. I fell down dead. But I was still there. I pulled myself back from the darkness and rose from the ground. The two men in front of me looked very surprised. "Boo!" I said casually. I no longer feared them. But the knife stuck in my mouth was annoying me. I tried to pull it out, but it wasn't budging. I wasn't focusing on the dream or stabilizing, the dream ended fairly fast.

    10. WBTB Lucid Dream - Coach Station, Kids, Gloves

      by , 11-18-2017 at 08:15 AM
      #WBTB Method

I was woken up by my daughter who's not feeling well. I attended to her and then returned to the kitchen where I thought about stacking the dishwasher. I picked up some random items and stood there for a while ...

      Nah.

I ate a banana, cos I was kind of hungry and thought about whether to get up or go back to bed.

      It was 4am.

I was planning to be up between 5 and 6, so going back to bed risked oversleeping. And I wasn't feeling tired.

I got back into bed to tinker with my new old mobile phone and go back to sleep. I downloaded some apps, including Instagram and Twitter, which is where I ended up. Read some tweets and then tweeted about #wbtb and then read some more. Twitter didn't work properly on the phone.

Finally, the light and tapping noises seemed to be disturbing my wife's sleep, so I set the device aside and lay down.

I focused on relaxing and staying aware of how I was feeling.

      I counted every breath.

I was surprised to find that I was feeling very, very, very relaxed, with my body feeling heavy and almost paralysed, but still aware. I was surprised because I'm normally asleep before noticing this.

I reached 12 before losing count and being immersed in a pleasurable slumber. It felt like being aware of being asleep. Not aware of dreaming. Is lucid sleeping a thing? Just being asleep and aware of being asleep.

I could feel the mattress and the blanket and my body. I'm not sure if I couldn't move or didn't want to. It was peaceful and safe; moving was the last thing on my mind.

Everything was very dark grey and close, like the world was soft around me. I was looking around, so I figured that I was in a dream now. I suppose I was in a kind of doorway to the dream, because there was only sensation. Nothing to see at all except very dark grey.

I heard my daughter in the kitchen then and she called to me, so I prepared to go to her, disappointed to be roused from bed again ... except I was standing up, leaning against a chest of drawers.

I walked very carefully across the dark room and considered whether I was sleeping because I had been lying down under the covers earlier and I didn't remember standing up.

Caution seemed wise. I went out into the kitchen, but the kitchen wasn't there. It was a coach station.

      --

The key things that I think contributed to lucidity:

      Not being tired
Eating a banana - at the time, I thought it might help with lucid dreaming. I imagine the thought was more powerful than the banana.
Reading, looking after daughter, doing something for 30 mins instead of going straight back to sleep.
      Reading about dreams
      Tweeting about lucid dreaming

      --

In the dream, I'm thinking about what to post on Twitter.

      Focus Dean!

I'm sure there was something I was meant to do in my next lucid dream...

Now I'm holding two samurai swords. I spin them round a little bit, but it seems to obvious. I think I should explore a bit.

A coach is reversing over grey concrete, performing a laborious three-point turn.

At the end of the coach station that is nearest me, two teachers are sitting at cluttered desks. They call some young students over. A boy who is clearly not interested in being here comes over and collects a drawing from the male teacher. The drawing contains his results for his exam.

He walks off with it without even looking at it.

"Hey," I say. "Can I see that? I'm interested."

He hands it over, looking like he's expecting to fail.

I'd like to tell him that he's done well, but I can't understand this evaluation at all. It just looks like a kid's drawing. It's not even a good one.

"Well done, kid," I say. "It'll be okay." And I hand it back to him.

He takes it and just looks at me. He doesn't even shrug. Then he walks away, sort of swallowed by darkness.

I catch the eye of the male teacher. He doesn't say anything either, but he looks at me as if to say: "You see? This is what we're dealing with here on a daily basis."

I lose the dream here for a while, but I remember thinking about flying or doing a super jump, but again, I didn't want to do anything obvious.

I end up outside with my wife who is gardening. I was thinking about gardening in waking life earlier and I make the connection in the dream.

A friend arrives. She's brought us gardening gloves. I smile at her, delighted, but she avoids my gaze. At first, I think she's being modest about her gift, but then I think that maybe I've misconstrued the situation.

I start to suspect that these are not gifts but only a loan.

As I have the thought, she glances at me, as if she heard it and is agreeing.

Under my gaze, the gloves degenerate; holes appear in the fingers and palms.

I'm aware of my body in bed and I shift to get more comfortable. I'm still in the dream, but it closes on me and again it goes dark grey. There is no up or down, just comfort and gentle floating.

In the darkness I hear my wife getting out of bed.

      The light comes on.

    11. Bus trip Lucid - more of an analysis

      by , 11-07-2017 at 07:51 PM (Nef's dream journal)
With using the WILD guide of kingoyshi I had...a DEILD.
Low lucidity still ,my recall improved a bit .
I was in a suburban area then I got on a bus and talked with my friends ,I wasn't really lucid , but I knew that I'm in a dream and that lingered in my mind through the dream. I didn't know what do I want to do or why. I will make a list of goals.

Upon becoming lucid I started to observe the details ; apparently the dream wasn't greatly vivid, but it was still fascinating how complex a dream is . I also observed that I have a mildly bad vision which I tried to fix by focusing and twisting that "key" in my head that I imagined there, that seemed to improve my vision for a moment but it was useless.

At the majority of my dream I was sitting on a bus , observing , there was me ,my friends and a few guys with weird faces, one of them had dead yellow eyes and wasnt really moving, or doing anything at all. Then I mentioned to my friends that this is a dream and that I have powers here. They were denying it naturally, to which I said I can levitate objects with the force.
Then we got out of the bus. We were in a random street I dont clearly remember.
They gave me something , a box I think, placed it on the floor , and so I did my thing: Levitated that thing, then one of my friends telepone, spun it in the air then threw it somewhere ; they were suprised and started hollering .

      And that was it

So , now I'm off to write my list of goals .
    12. Teleportation - Gone Wrong!

by , 10-13-2017 at 03:34 AM (MoSh's DJ: The Best Dream Journal in The Universe.)
      Longish lucid?

Started I was reading a graphic novel. Apparently I made up the story but someone else had redone the artwork. I was impressed with the artwork.

I was some how teleported inside the story... I was floating over some town and saw some lakes nearby but I wasn't supposed to go there.

Can't remember what happened in between but became lucid in someone's house. I was grabbing some DC girl and she somehow got away. I began wandering a warehouse or something not wanting to lose the dream. I found an open garage door in the warehouse and began walking out with some people nearby. I wanted to try Time control. I asked loudly if anyone had a watch. After asking a few times a random DC handed me a watch. I looked at it and it was digital. "No," I said. I took the watch away from my gaze a few times until the watch had a face with hands. I kept thinking," Slow down," To the second hand. Eventually it's ticking began to slow and almost stop. I tried to meditate on time slowing further but began to see distortions. I had to jump high to escape them.

I landed and the dream snapped back into vision with better clarity. I had no idea how long the effect would work. I wanted to try teleporting to a different dream. In the past I hated changing dreams because everything goes black and I enter the next dream non lucid or with little recall. So I tried to create a door. I had chalk or something so I outlined a door on the wall. I got the idea from the Beetlejuice movie. I thought of the person I wanted to visit and began writing their name. I ran out of chalk. I asked DC's for chalk and they handed me a smaller piece. I began to make use of it when I blacked out.

Started entering another lucid. I was staring at a room with young girls in their 20's but my recall slipped after.

      Flying

Dream from this morning. I became lucid when I discovered I could fly. More like dog paddle through the air. Forget what happened after.

      Vague dream

I was int the mountains but it was work related somehow? I was in a clearing by a river with some people, but forget what we were doing. Maybe some of my family was there.

After some time the shift ended and I was exiting a mcdonald's... Don't know how that transition happened. Something to do with M from work? I dunno

    13. Some lucids

by , 10-01-2017 at 12:19 AM (MoSh's DJ: The Best Dream Journal in The Universe.)
      Work

First memory is eating a mcdonald's burger in the lounge and finding frozen fries in my burger.

It shifts to me working in kitchen. I become lucid randomly when I look away from someone and look back and what was a guy with brown hair is now blonde with a beard. "Never switch a switcher." I tell him and he laughs. Someone else is staring at me and I say it's a dream. I walk around the sandwich table and begin to lose the dream. To prolong the dream and incorporate more senses I pull a chicken nugget tray out and start eating nuggets. I can taste them but am able to eat them too fast. Kind of feels fake but it makes the dream more vivid.

I walk away and now I'm in a living room. I sit on a couch and stare at my hand. I begin counting my fingers and see weird fingers under my other fingers. My hand has a 3D landscape on it. I can see houses on my hand and people walking about. I am confused. Next part is hard to recall.

I'm in a house somewhere. I become lucid but forget what made me lucid. I begin to call out for asuka looking for her. I run into a guy that looks like the priest from the exorcist T.V show. I begin talking to him but he walks away from me not wanting to talk. I call out to Asuka again. Calling for her makes the dream shift. I'm outside at night and see something like a town hall. I look down and up and now the hall is gone and it's a house. I walk towards it. I jump and try to fly but can't stay in the air. when I land two people are standing on the lawn. I'm not sure who they are but they seem to know me. A man is standing beside a woman with black hair. she seems taller than usual and white. They call to me. I gaze into the woman's eyes because they look strange. The pupils and iris's roll and reveal another eye. I look at black spots on the whites of her eyes and looking close i can see lots of mini eyes. I tell her it looks kind of cool. she doesn't say anything and suddenly we are inside a house in a kitchen. I grab her body and hold it and say she feels nice. I then glance at the man but he is shorter and changes his face.

I'm wandering in a house suddenly by myself asking myself if it's a dream? I look at my hand quickly and they seem normal,I jump and float and now I'm lucid again. I grab onto the top of a door hinge while floating. I begin to look for asuka again but the dream fades.

    14. Waking Up Is Hard To Do

      by , 09-16-2017 at 02:37 PM
After lucid dreams (and sometimes after nonlucids): What are those blobs of colour I see in my vision? They resemble crumpled wads of paper or origami. They appear just before the dream ends and persist several seconds into wakefulness, clearly visible as I lie in bed. If I close my eyes tightly they're still there. Once it was purple and white on a violet background (viewed through a rectangular window surrounded by blackness). It vaguely resembled a neuron or a cancer cell. That one was clearly dimensional and floated in 3D space. I could study its contours and still remember its general shape. This morning it looked like an orange-and-black walnut. I fancied I was seeing my optic nerve. That's my best guess.

Does anyone else see these things? What is it about the dream state (or hypnagogic state) that makes them appear? Is this related to the "sparkling void" I hear lucid dreamers talking about or is that something different?

    15. Eclipsed Eclipse

      by , 09-16-2017 at 01:22 PM
      EXT. RAILWAY STATION - TWILIGHT

I'm on the ground level of a two-tiered train station. The platform is covered with crunchy cinders.

CLOSEUP on a SOLAR ECLIPSE. The lower left sliver of the Sun is just showing on a black background, as if photographed through a solar filter. Just the Sun, no earthshine on the Moon. (Day residue: I attended an amateur astronomy lecture last night in reality.)

      ME
      Wait, am I dreaming? Yes!

CUT TO: My point of view, watching the eclipse. The sky is clear, calm, and cool. My vision is exceptionally sharp--unlike most of my lucid dreams, which seem no clearer than an ordinary dream visually (the only difference being my conscious state).

Now the Moon is in a gibbous phase. But the Sun (which has shrunk to about half size) is still being eclipsed as before--by its own Moon! So now there are two moons, one near and one far, with the Sun farther yet. WHO KNOWS what light source is illuminating the gibbous Moon! The incongruity delights me. I remember an earlier, nonlucid dream some months ago in which a solar and lunar eclipse were taking place simultaneously. I gladly accept such nonlocal logic in nonlinear time.

I note that if I shuffle several feet to one side or the other, a great deal of parallax results: I can eclipse or uneclipse the Sun simply by walking back and forth on the platform. This implies that the Sun and moons must be quite close indeed, and very small--or else that I and the train station are extremely large. Because the three heavenly bodies are beyond the atmosphere.

Lucidity having been achieved, I remember my plan of action--formed in waking life--and speak directly to my dream, making a preposterous request in the hope that it will be granted in reality. (It's worth a try!)

I begin to awaken. As the vibrant dream energy dissipates, a black-and-orange blob persists in my vision. If I close my eyes tightly I can still see it for a while as I wake up in my bed. It's about the size of a silver dollar held at arm's length. It seems to be in my left eye, but I can't prove it. I study its contours and hypothesize that I am seeing my optic nerve, but that is only a guess. (Or is it a picture of a tiny brain?)

It was 6:50 AM when I awoke. As I walked to breakfast later this morning I saw the waning crescent Moon, its phase resembling the sliver of Sun eclipsed in the dream. Remarkable coincidence. (Sun, Moon...no difference.) Despite my interest in astronomy I had lost track of the Moon this week. Did my dream calibrate with the lunar phase this morning? Make of this what you will.
