1. I remember being in some town in an apocalyptic era where heavily armed AI war machines were taking over. It was daytime and I found myself trying to hide from these machines that were seeking to kill everyone in sight. I was smack in the middle of this town and there were buildings of all sorts everywhere. All plant life was overgrown, but despite all of the mess the sun was still out. I could feel the adrenaline rush through my body as I tried to remain incognito. At one point I came to a warehouse. As I looked at my surroundings I took note of all the war machines in my proximity and remained careful and silent. Suddenly one of the big boy war machines blows a whole into the south wall of the warehouse. Seconds later he spots me and my body fills with even more adrenaline than before as I feel as though I'm about to get killed. I start sprinting to avoid the machine but it is catching up fast. This machine is easily 10 times the size of a normal human and is basically a walking tank in terms of armor and power. I keep running and running. I find a long road and for some reason I feel that it would be a good idea to follow it. As I continue running down this road, day gradually turns to night extremely quickly in terms of what us humans are used to. All in all, it took the sun about 3 minutes to set and it became night fully. The moon was out and the machines had vanished. I slowed my pace to a walk and found myself approaching a dead end. At this dead end was a group of about 11 people, mostly guys. I walk up to them and immediately they invite me to play a real game of Rainbow Six: Siege. I am not sure how this is supposed to work but I agree to play. Since there are now 12 of us, one of the guys mentions "after the testing round, whoever the worst 2 players are will be kicked out afterwards and then we will start." He then asks me what my level is, and I tell him. Suddenly I get distracted. I turn around and notice that I am on my friend Dylan's street, and my old house is right around the corner. I look at what I am wearing and see that I have on very tight blue jeans that are so tight that the buckle is unbuttoned, white shoes, and a white bro tank. "interesting" I thought to myself. I began walking down Dylan's street, simply strolling along. Not far ahead of me there are 3 girls just messing around doing whatever. About a third of the way down the street my attention is caught by a flying bus about 20 feet in the air that is flying down the street in the opposite direction of me. I look closer at it and realize that it is the magic school bus from the show itself. Behind the bus is some sort of magical trail that is being left. "Holy shit this feels way to real to be a dream" I say aloud to myself. I approach the 3 girls I mentioned earlier. "Hey can I ask you guys a question?" I say. "Sure" one of them replies. I then ask, "Is this a dream?" to them. Their response was short and simple, "Look at your tattoo." I then look down at my tattoo, and as usual, instead of it saying "Are you dreaming?" it now says "okay." I take this as a fool-proof answer that I am indeed dreaming as tattoo's typically do not change in waking life. Out of pure joy, I go and hug one of the girls. We hug and suddenly I am now in the mood to make out, so I go for a kiss but alas, the girl does not reciprocate so I call it off. I then remember "Wtf am I doing I have a girl". Just as quickly as the sun went down earlier, the sun rises once more; this time even quicker than the last. I now intend to find my girl as she is ever so ellusive in dreams, and lucid ones at that. I remember that usually when Im near my old house in my lucid dreams, she lives right next door where my neighbor normally is. I continue walking down the street, and I notice that many houses have christmas lights up. I also realize that the temperature out is a little cool, and quite comfortable to say the least. One house sticks out to me out of all the houses, and it's the house at the corner of the street just before the road turns to my old street. I approach this house while reminding myself to maintain awareness. As I make it to the front door I pause for a moment and take a deep breath in an attempt to solidify my intention and manifestion of her. I open the door effortlessly as I knew that it wouldn't be locked. As I walk in and close the door behind me I notice that all of the lights are off and the only light in the house is that which is coming from outside through the windows. I hear a group of people walking upstairs so I start heading up them. Once I get upstairs I see a group of girls and one older guy with gray hair. "Hey is A here?" I ask them. "Yeah she should be" one of the girls says. Everyone then starts looking for her in all of the rooms and I realize this house is way bigger on the inside that its size from the outside doesn't make any sense. Suddenly Dylan shows up out of nowhere, "Cory what are you doing?" he asks in a surprised tone of voice. "I'm chilling bro" I reply. I notice that he's wearing one of my old shirts and this puzzles me but I chuckle nonetheless. The girls end up not being able to find her. I decide to go check and see if she's downstairs but as I do so I accidentally collide with one of the girls coming up the steps and she falls down the stairs. In mid-flight down the steps she randomly turns into a small inanimate doll the size of an action figure. I am put aghast by the sheer oddity of the situation. I then remind myself once more to maintain awareness so that I don't get lost in the dream. I turn around and everyone is still as calm as ever, not even batting an eye to what had just happened. With the intention of changing the weather and bringing a storm into the area I ask the older man "Isn't there supposed to be a storm coming in?" He replies, "Yeah in about 8 hours or so." Wow that is too far away for me as I wanted one to happen now. I use my intention and expectation to start willing one into the dream. Suddenly, as the old man is looking out through the window he says that it looks as though it might rain early. I go to look out the window and what I see confuses me. The thunder clouds that are in the sky make up a straight line that is probably about a few miles wide, and these clouds get darker and darker the closer to the middle of the line they are. All of the lightning that is occurring is in the middle of this line of clouds. This line quickly passes over us resulting a downpour that lasts about 30 seconds or so. I once more attempt to will a storm into existance, and shortly after I see yet another line of thunder clouds, just like the last, start rolling in. "This is not what I had intended, but okay" I say to myself. I then turned and asked the old man "What do you represent in my dream?". "What?" he says. I then repeat myself, "What do you represent in this dream?". He starts to answer, but his answer is extremely indirect and is dragging along so much that I get bored and turn my attention elsewhere. I go down the stairs and walk outside. I see a metallic gray sedan sitting in the driveway and I proceed to get in it. Dylan and the old man follow. Dylan gets in the back seat while the old man gets in shotgun. I once more attempt to manifest a storm, and it starts to manifest fully this time. I then get out of the car and think of how nice it'd be to fly into the storm. Just before I take off I turn and look at my shirt which Dylan is wearing. Then, right as I take off, about 2 feet in the air, I lose focus and awaken.
Last night, I had a dream where I was in the living room of my old house. It was dark and shadowy, the stairway and kitchen entrance fading into pitch black. I wasn't at all put off by this at the time, but in retrospect, it was a rather creepy, horror game type lighting. As with all of my lucid dreams, I got a random inkling that I was dreaming. I plugged my nose and sure enough I could still breathe and was indeed dreaming. Alright, time to get down business. I tried to summon someone. I envisioned her appearing; nothing happened. I called her name; nothing. "Oh right," I thought to myself, "I need to focus and be aware." I plugged my nose once more and checked out my hands to reaffirm that I was dreaming; could still breathe, and my fingers were deformed. Then I took time to be aware of myself and my surroundings. Then, I once again attempted to summon my friend. I called out, looking around, envisioning her coming down the stairs. Nothing. No matter how many times I tried, nothing happened. In fact, nothing whatsoever was happening. It was just me in this pseudo-horror room. Eventually I woke up without accomplishing anything. I don't have lucid dreams often (as I mentioned, I've only ever gotten them randomly, never by induction methods), but this sort of thing has happened with the last few I've had. I've had almost no control these past few lucids, even though I've had little trouble controlling them in the past when I didn't even bother trying to ground myself. I think it lasted longer than most of my lucids though.
Hello folks. Its been awhile since my last post and I've been reading on persistent worlds for quite some time now. I think I just found my own persistent world. Stayed up all night until 8am playing League of Legends, then retreated to my bed for a daytime sleep... Anyhow very memorable non-lucid... So I'm with this group of people that seems to be pretty non-chalant about whatever their doing. There is this kid that I remember talking to that invited me there to see his group but I can't remember the exact words that he used to help me get there.. Anyhow I arrive and one older guy wants me to try and help them out with whatever it is that they are doing.. I definitely agree and a fairly beautiful girl came in from what looked to be a resting a place to help gear me up, keep in mind that I was already on the platform to gear up speaking to this guy. So I remember being fairly curious about their work, but as it turns out the lady leads me to this portal and we jump through. Instantly a minigun materializes out of thin air and begins resting on my shoulder. As I look forward I see a furnace with the eyes of a demon inside it. At this point I was so scared I could barely contain myself but I remember vaguely thinking that it was a dream so I could leave at whatever point if I wished to do so. The demon let out a high pitched shriek and cogs decorating the room began to turn. The walls were covered in a blood red hue and I was literally thinking its do or die. I began covering one side while the lady covered the other side. The minigun was phenomenal at taking out the beasts that were approaching us. They looked somewhat like yellow machines but the thing that scared me the most was the demon dwelling within the furnace. It obviously wanted to fucking kills us and I think eventually the goal was not to get overwhelmed. Well... Knowing me I fucked it up... The girls side was clean, she must have been doing a lot of work while I wasn't looking because the machines on my side were overwhelming. We were backed into a corner, and the furnace began closing the walls in on us. We had nowhere to go. We both got crushed by the walls of the furnace. I truly hope I can go back and find out more about this world. Maybe if I start actively attempting to lucid dream again I can find them.
I just got back to recording dreams this week! I didn't have anything too vivid. Mainly dreamed about work. My most vivid dream came after falling back to sleep for only 45 minutes one morning. 11/21/17 I dreamed a little bit about Bill Skarsgard. He was working for IKEA. He sent out and email, and it included a link of images that were quite pornographic. I remember thinking in the dream "Oh he's Swedish, so this probably doesn't mean much to him. Swedish people are less prude about things of a sexual nature." Another scene: I was walking into work, and I was remembering my past (my dream past) that I had seen a bird near the side of the building bushes that had a hurt leg, and they were hopping around the parking lot. In my dream present, I walked past that same bush, and that same bird was there, only both legs were messed up and it was barely breathing. There were also a few other sick birds there, and I saw a half frozen squirrel eating one of them. 11/23/17 Was at the house I grew up in. I couldn't place the time period. I felt like I was still in high school, but was doing adult things, like going to work. It was the morning. My dad was sitting at our kitchen table reading the paper, and my mom was there with the TV on. My dad and I talked about something. I don't remember specifically what, but it made me feel happy and content. I do remember talking about work. There was an incident where a CBA co-worker threatened a Team Lead's wife. All of the Team Leads then started showing support for that team lead, and they began wearing different wool colored hats to show their support (I don't get it at all!). I then went to work, and it didn't look like a warehouse. It looked like a school set up with a classroom and desks. Then went to a new scene, in which I watched Titanic.
DJ Log: November 25, 2017 – 5:30AM (USA Eastern) • NON-DREAM • NOTES • DREAM • LUCID • I am smoking cigarettes with a couple of friends on a second floor balcony. There is an annoying neighbor standing right at the edge of our property line making threats at us because of the "toxic fumes" that are drifting toward his house from our cigarettes. We ignore him and continue smoking before going back inside. After several sessions of this harassment at gradually increasing volume levels, we yelled back at him and cussed him out. The neighbor was standing out there with a couple of other people. After we came back into the house and I went downstairs to find that the neighbor had walked up to our house and was trying to open the door. After a couple of tries, the latch gave way and he opened the door. At the instant that he took a step into the house, I pulled my pistol out of its holster and fired a round directly into the center of his head. He immediately began to fall backward, so I ran up and grabbed him by his shirt to pull him inward so that he would fall to the floor inside instead of outside. He fell face-down and appeared to be dead. The other people stood there silently for a moment, then walked away. I yelled at them, "Who's next?" (Note: This was a rare time that a dream gun functioned correctly. Usually they make noise but no bullet, or they are all jammed up or something else wrong with them so they won't shoot at all. …and smoking cigarettes, YUCK!)
We were sitting in a couch. The room was filled with the weak light of day. He kept trying to hold me. "Stop," I said. "What I'm not allowed to hold you anymore?" I shook my head, "You can hold the tablet." He scoffed, " So I'm only allowed to touch the tablet then?" I couldn't help smiling. He tried to show me something but I remembered I didn't have mine on. For some reason he was wearing a pair and handed them to me. "Here try these on they might be a similar perscription as yours." As I slid them onto my face I slowely drifted awake.

Afternoon of November 25, 2017. Saturday. My beautiful wife Zsuzsanna and our children and I are living in a trailer in a trailer park in an unknown location. It is mostly in a field of low grass and not many land features, not even a discernible city in any direction, though there does seem to be a road in the distance. Thus, the only extant conscious self threads are of my present marriage status and nothing else, not even a focus on what country I am in, yet with my dream self (personified subconscious) ridiculously accepting the setting as legitimate (even though our large family could certainly not fit in a trailer). After some brief generic activities with my family, I step outside the trailer and notice a Belize guerrilla grinning at me and holding a rifle diagonally across his chest. He is standing about ten feet away from the trailer’s entrance. While all the other members of my family are still in the trailer, I lift my hands into the air while I am standing just outside the doorway, indicating my submission but only mild surprise. However, the guerrilla, an unfamiliar male of about thirty, points down at an area of ground with his rifle. I notice no less than twenty dead kraits in a cluster, the outer perimeter of the cluster being less dense with krait bodies in various curvy positions. Apparently, he has done us a big favor in having killed the surprising number of snakes, now strewn about lifeless on the ground near an isolated cluster of rocks to his left (my right). Lucidity comes in at only the last second prior to waking and I immediately recognize this common component and its core meaning. In approaching this dream with truth and understanding over superstition and the fallacy of “interpretation”, it is seen to be very basic. Some very basic knowledge about dreams is required; one, that this is an isolated dream during an afternoon nap, of which has entirely different symbolism than dreams of other time periods or during longer sleeping periods (due to the nature of circadian rhythms having the strongest influence over the dream state); two, that it was during a very light sleep with minimal REM; three, that this dream type is basically of waking symbolism only, with no relationship to real life. The personified preconscious (the Belize guerrilla - based on an unconscious confusion of Punta Gorda, Belize with my birthplace of Punta Gorda, Florida), typically linked to the reticular activating system (RAS) actually subdued it rather than augmented its dynamics. This is because RAS symbolism is only needed in extended sleep. My brief thread of lucidity is all it took to transmute the preconscious into the emergent consciousness. When one is ready to wake (especially during a lighter and shorter sleep), there is no need for aggressive preconscious mediation. A snake is the very epitome of RAS due to its “primal fear” status in the majority and bound to be the most inherent waking alert in many imaginary dream environments, yet many people persist in pointlessly bumbling along with imaginary “interpretations”. Being the oldest waking mechanism (other than the falling sensation linked to inner ear dynamics based on the shift in unconsciousness to consciousness), it is apparently even the origin of the Christian myth with the serpent (RAS) in the Tree of Knowledge (human brain in unconsciousness).
Morning of November 25, 2017. Saturday. In my dream, I am with my wife Zsuzsanna and our children as we presently appear. The setting is unrelated to real life, though my dream self lacks the memory and awareness of our real living space as is often the case (depending on the depth and extent of sleep). It may be sections of streets and buildings modeled after ones in La Crosse (America), Brisbane (Australia), or both. Over time, I become aware of the typical “something wrong with the sun” scenario. There are streams of plasma reaching Earth. At one point, far above the horizon and over the unknown city, I notice streams of plasma moving outward from a central point. There are a few resets of this dream. There is a scene where the sun explodes like a small fireball in the sky, but later events where the sun is still present. Eventually, the end of the world is assumed, though I am not that fearful of what is to come. Many people run around screaming as pieces of the sun slam into skyscrapers but there are unusual distortions in later events. For example, a blob of plasma from the sky heads toward the middle of the street. Instead of an explosion, the blob slows, stopping a few feet above the street, and transforms into a giant transparent pale orange puppy (about ten feet high) that then walks slowly about on the street. After a time, I start to realize that, despite all the streams of plasma hitting the city, there does not appear to be much destruction. One crashes fairly close to me and I am unimpressed and consider that it is not real (though not with viable lucidity). There is another change without a cohesive transition. Members of my family and I, including Zsuzsanna and at least our two youngest children, are now riding in a car with an unknown dark-haired male driver of about forty. Streams of fire and plasma hit buildings on opposite ends of the street we travel through. However, it is learned that the falling plasma is created by some sort of machine on Earth and is only holographic, with no physical repercussions. This also explains why there appear to be no destroyed buildings at this point, though the event is still continuing. This end of the world dream is somewhat atypical in being revealed to not be a celestial event as in many other such dreams. However, the majority of my common end of the world dreams since early childhood often present “something wrong with the sun”, rather than for example, “something wrong with the moon”. There is a logical reason for this… As a dream occurs while unconscious and typically not during the main part of the day (other than during an afternoon or early evening nap), a dream, based on circadian rhythms factors, will symbolize the nature of the conscious self identity as the sun, because the sun is associated with wakefulness and the moon associated more with sleeping and dreaming. As one is asleep and dreaming, “something wrong with the sun” occurs far more often simply because one is not awake. This is validated by fairly rare “something wrong with the moon” dreams occurring at a different time in the sleep cycle than the “something wrong with the sun” dreams. In fact, the specific dynamics (studied from when I was only a child) relate directly to the specific time within the sleep cycle, which validates it has little to do with “interpretation” and more about biology and not being conscious at a specific time. “Something wrong with the sun” in a dream is simply a metaphor for not being conscious and being aware of the real sun. How hard is that? Dreams, after all, are all about distortions, errors in memory, and the failure of thinking skills that naturally comes from being unconscious (other than literal prescience, which is not limited to the dream state anyway). An “end of the world” scenario is often just a result of the dream inevitably coming to an end when more sleep is subliminally desired, though all factors must be looked at closely, though not in wrongfully assuming that the “I am” of the dream state (personified subconscious, which has no viable memory or intelligence) is the same as the “I am” of the current conscious self identity. It is rare for the personified preconscious (in this case, the unknown male driver) to passively sustain the dream state since its purpose (via RAS) is to mediate waking. However, my dream self had already worked out it was not the end of the world, though I did not attain viable lucidity prior to waking.
First DV DJ Entry. LD result of MILD. I was in some house I don't recognize. Visiting some friends, but I don't remember who. It was night time, I was supposed to be sleeping. I had my own pretty big room, and I was lying on top of the covers watching TV. It was the government channel, but it was playing a strange montage of trippy cartoons, disneylike. I wanted to make a snapchat of it. But decided to enjoy this strange moment instead. This lead me to want to do a reality check (the value of all day awareness) First RC(nose breathing) was a bit unclear. It worked, but I wasn't convinced. Tried again, and it worked a bit, but a bit on and off, not completely. Decided to do a telekinesis test. Pulled a book towards me from the floor. I headed outside. It was dark and my vision soon faded into complete darkness. While waiting for my vision to return I decided that I should stabilize once back in the dreamworld. Upon my return I touched the ground and some trees and immersed myself a bit. I have been a bit into the idea of stablisation being an unnessesary crutch lately. Maybe the better option is to stop believing that LD's are supposed to make you wake up. I wanted it to be light, maybe to get "farther away" from the void. I grabbed a star and spread my fingers like you would when zooming on a touch screen. It became the sun. I suddenly realized that I had done both advanced tasks without really intending to. I headed down a gravel road next to a fence. There were trees, and the wind smelled like the ocean. But I couldn't recognize the place. I felt warm, so I threw my jacket on the ground and ordered it to disintegrate. (NO LITTERING IN THE DREAMWORLD!)Though I was at a relatively high level of lucidity the dream felt a bit off... I wanted a place to sit down and increase lucidity for a while. I ended up sitting in the middle of the road waiting to see what my dream would conjure up. My mind wandered to the whole, stabilization dilemma. And I woke up. My alarm would be going off in 5 minutes so I got out of bed.

Don't want to forget this one so I'm writing it now even though its late. First dream I was semi lucid in this dream and confronted by a knight with blonde flowing hair. He was being kind to me and showing acts of loyalty by smashing his hand on concrete or hard surfaces to keep me safe or my treasure safe. There was also this other guy who did things in a wrong manner that jeopardized the safety of my parakeets who were present in a cage that was purposely crushed and the order in my secret place felt compromised too...so I summoned a book that I called "mimyu" and warped into it causing the guard barrier to start up. After that I asked the name of the guy a couple of times. Second Dream I was in my dad's house and talking with him about my brother until a random DC came to test my fear level. They changed form than became invisible, grabbing me and asking if I would go to the cemetery with them to help them. I said no because i was scared of those settings. He still moved me though and passed by a gold mirror where I saw it's reflection. A red head guy with a blue sweater and jeans. My reflection looked like me but my hair was somewhat different.Anyways the guy dc continued to walk to the cemetery outside the window. As I made it change to just grass another dc appeared and told the guy she would send him to hell. He panicked. I however, found that not scary at all. He was warped but than I was pushed by someone else to watch a uncomfortable scene. I walked away from it to only be approached by a scientist anime woman with a really long snake like pony tail who tried conveying her love for me. I pushed her away than looked to a clear glass window where I could see dirty pond water with lily pads. It seemed deep and felt cold." It feels so real, the atmosphere is just right. Wonder if I should get in the water or how it would feel to go down" As I contemplated Kiro came to mind and I felt a gust of wind like in a recent dream. Last thing that happened was I became non lucid and my dad showed me take out food he brought at the table.

I was lost in one of my memorable dreams. I kept going through wrong doors and everything was an absolute nightmare. Then, I saw a large man fall down. The thing he landed on went up his butt (or something rofl). He continued bouncing down a very long hill and everything he landed on went inside of him. He got fatter and more round which each addition. He finally wound back where he had started and everything came out (one of the things he landed on was the huge building I was cursing while being hopelessly lost). Then there was a Sherlock-esque scene where he was explaining that it wasn't "first thing in, first thing out" but rather, the first thing that had existed until the newest. **That dream was actually part of an EPIC dream which I lost. Either that, or they tied off each other. All I recall is a baby and a small child being separated and lost from their families. In another dream, I was under ground like in Starbound (video game). I was exploring caves. I had a lightning weapon and decided to try it out. I fired it, but the wall of the cave was too close so the lightning ricocheted and it blew me into a million pieces. For some reason, I thought that was the funniest thing in the world and I woke up laughing [I react in a similar way when playing my game and my character dies] In an earlier dream, I dream my hubby said he told me he could never love me or my kids. I was calling him to task on it... then I married his son, Lee... only, his name was Rick and he looked like my ex-husband As for the first dream, it was anxiety driven. I had to be social at a Thanksgiving office dinner. About the man "absorbing" everything, I can only guess it has to do with eating too much and feeling extra bloated. But the whole Sherlock thing throws that theory off somewhat. The lightning rod is simply me playing way too many video games IRL. I'm glad I woke in such a great mood As for the last dream, I think that's just my insecurities. I feel fat and bloated and unlovable to my hubby (who likes the Twiggy/anorexic look). I probably dreamed of marrying his son because hubby told he talked to him right before I went to sleep. I dreamed he looked like my ex, probably because I can't imagine hooking up with his son (who's only about 6-10 years younger than me). The whole name thing was probably due to a new show I'm watching (Tin Star).

In dream I was on the streets And by the wall of an apartment I saw a little table with two trugs, they were some sort of things u had to eat, the table description said that it was drugs made by "russian hackers"and that the first is for beginners. So I took the first one. then seconds after i started to "hallucinate" : the things in my hand started to shapeshift, and so did the whole dream around me. Then I saw agent 47 from hitman codename 47 (thats a pc game) multiply into thousnads , covering my vision, then it all got blurry and now I started to see and hear demon faces all sorts of scary shit and I panicked and seen some surreal sh1t Then I snapped out of it and felt sick for real but I still didnt wake up ,only seconds later note: I copied it from a chat cuz I'm so lazy

This dream is interesting. The first part involved me finding a green and yellow parrot entering my house. I tould my aunt about the dilemma and she said it was cool. I didn't exactly say that, because I spent MINUTES after that to try to remember the word for parrot. The next part involved me going to school. I was in the multi purpose room with my entire class for some reason and I was CONFUSED, not because of the fact that my ENTIRE CLASSROOM INCLUDING DESKS was in the MP room, but because I had just gotten back from thanksgiving break and it had been a while. After that, I was playing a game about penguins while listening to The Chosen Priest and Apostle of Infinite Space by bull of heaven (I am currently listening to te WHOLE THING and as of writing this I am 225 hours in). There was this secret part in the game that I couldn't get to, even with a walk through. The interesting part of this dream is that I was able to ACCURATELY CONTROL the computer in my dream! let's start a counter! NUMBER OF TIMES I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO CONTROL ELECTRONIC DEVICES IN DREAMS: 1. Anyways, about three quarters through the dream, the song changed from a drone to this jazzyish piano piece. Later, I was watching someone play a quiz game about movies that involved a demon. I tried to pause it, but every time I did that, the window minimized to view FL studio. I also saw that the song went from 1442 hours to like 5 minutes. The dream ended in a single piano note.
Night of November 23, 2017. Thursday. I am near full lucidity and aware of my conscious self identity. I find myself in a parking lot at nighttime. A shopping cart is moving in front of me. Although I am implied to be pushing it, I seem incorporeal. A white moth seems to fly from the front of the shopping cart. It rises in the air about three feet in front of the shopping cart before I awake with a lighter hypnopompic kick. This dream is a typical though interesting example of the type in which the symbolism and its inherent meaning is solely premonitory of the hypnopompic kick during the waking transition, and as such, is unrelated to waking life or so-called “interpretation”. Self-contained biologically premonitory dreams of this common type often utilize a flight symbol as here. This is because of the nature of inner ear dynamics and the ascending reticular activating system. (When one is unconscious, one does not usually viably perceive one’s real physical body, which often creates a sense of floating, falling, or associations with flight.) The parking lot represents the transitional state between dreaming and waking and is usually unrelated to conscious self factors. The white moth, inherently a natural biological symbol rather than an “interpretable” feature, relates to the circadian rhythms of the sleep cycle in three different ways. One, its whiteness is associated with the moon and sleeping at night (especially as it is airborne as an analogy to the moon being in the sky). Two, its nocturnal nature (most moths, but not all, are nocturnal) is also relevant to sleeping at night and being in the dream state during a specific time in the sleep cycle. Three, the flight symbol aspect has already been explained in the third paragraph above. This type of dream occurs at least once during every normal sleeping period (and has for over fifty years), though more often involves walking through a city at night and tripping over the curb and “falling”, also directly biologically premonitory of the hypnopompic kick or waking start, as well as spontaneous muscle tension and release, and unrelated to real life. As fully explained in numerous past entries, the hypnopompic waking mechanism (waking start) and its biologically premonitory dream-related events leading up to it by way of the waking transition (and the ascending reticular activating system) are more vivid and intense when I have done a lot more walking prior to sleep, which proves that this dream’s symbolism is based on biology and anticipation of waking, not some sort of nebulous occult “symbolism” as found in so-called dream dictionaries or other nonsensical publications. The shopping cart’s appearance is a literal remnant (though its perceived movement symbolizes the real-time waking shift during unconsciousness), not an “interpretable” feature, similar to a bed as a literal dream state indicator (as is being undressed in public as one does not typically wear clothes to bed), as I had been pushing a shopping cart around for about two hours prior to going to bed. In fact, walking a lot while pushing the shopping cart is why this dream’s symbolism is as it is concerning the specific nature of the hypnopompic waking start and the spontaneous release of muscle tension in unconsciousness. This dream lacks the personified preconscious common to other dream types. As the hypnopompic waking start is the waking mechanism (and as a result has more energies linked to the physical body), a personified preconscious is not needed to initiate waking (for example, from such as imaginary conflict, perceived “intrusion”, or being chased by the preconscious waking function). Also, when lucid, the dream self obviously takes on more threads of the conscious self identity, thus is already closer to viable consciousness. This dream renders and utilizes “exit flight waking symbolism” in incidental contrast to “return flight waking symbolism” (both very common types of waking symbolism) as in dreams such as “Kite or Bird? Self-Breaking Window?” from November 9, 2016 (though there are thousands more in my personal database). There seems to be no difference other than the factors of circadian rhythms dynamics, that is, the white moth flying away from me symbolizes associations with nighttime becoming more dominant in my semi-conscious state and the dream self to continue to sleep and experience additional dreams, while in the other dream, the white bird flying towards me is more about the cessation of the dream state (and its coalescence “back” into the unconscious) towards morning, especially regarding the window-breaking symbolism (the increase of neural energies eliminating the illusion of the dream state), the bird related to the “return” of my conscious self identity in that case (and despite the fact that some birds hunt at night, a bird of that appearance is more associated with daytime). Such symbolism has been inherent to my dreaming history since early childhood in the same context but usually with unique scenarios and elements. I am fully familiar with its meaning and virtually infinite variations and have zero interest in the popular fallacy of “interpretation”.
