Lucid Dreams
I experienced some challenges in this LD and, sad to say, I didn't exactly pass with flying colors. I need to be confident with producing a light source and finding my way out when I'm lost in some building. I wish I'd remembered darknightedlady's observation that "Exit" signs seem to work well for me in navigation. They're a reliable tool for me and I need to keep them in mind. Not my best work, but I very much enjoyed the exploratory romp anyway! Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid Lucid #37: Hotel California I'm business partners with my good friend "Leroy", and we ride a bus to a conference at some sunny resort. We pass by a nice pool complex on our way in, and many DCs are soaking up the sun poolside. I recognize MS, a friend from high school, but she disappears into the crowd as we draw closer. Leroy and I walk through the hotel entrance and move toward the elevator. There are smashed eggs all over the floor in front of the elevator door, and I say, "[Leroy], I'm tired of walking on eggshells around you." Two things dawn on me: a) That joke was terrible and b) This is all a dream. Leroy has disappeared, but momentum still has me reaching for the elevator button. I stop when I see that the elevator only goes down. I remember that I'm trying to either witness the Trinity test or relive the Apollo 11 mission. Neither of those are likely to be in the basement, so I start looking for a way out. I turn toward the hotel entrance and see that it has been replaced by a solid, slightly reflective metal plate. I try to phase through it the way I do with glass, but it feels totally solid. Unwelcome anxiety starts to creep in and I set off down a nearby hallway, hoping for an easy exit. A set of double doors at the end of the hallway takes me into a tunnel that's built of concrete blocks. I feel like I'm descending in spite of my best wishes. There's a door further down the hallway but it's one way and offers no handle. I step through an open doorway into a dimly lit room. An unseen door closes gently behind me and now there's barely enough light to see. I hold my hands out, saying "Illuminate!" Nothing. "Illuuuuuuuuminate!" I squall, but nothing happens. Fear is growing in me, a helpless sense that there's no way out of this hotel. I try to shake that off, instead imagining that there's light coming from an unseen side tunnel... yes, I see it now. I start crawling through this new tunnel on hands and knees, but it becomes a tighter and tighter squeeze as I move forward. There's light ahead of me, though, and I shimmy desperately forward. Anxiety begins to slip out of my control and I'm soon awake.

I really need to start updating my dream journal more often again... and stop being lazy about it because I'm only bothering to write down the LD I had last night and not all the other dreams from last night. >.> Okay, so I was in this small movie theater with my family. I recognized one scene as being in a familiar location from an earlier dream that night (unfortunately, I can't remember that dream now, but I do remember it was from another dream I actually did have) and exclaimed that I recognized it from the dream I had last night. This seemed like a bit much of a coincidence, considering it was a place I'd never seen before, so I did a quick RC and counted six fingers. "I'm dreaming!" I exclaimed. "Now, what was the task of the month... I have to-" I was about to say I had to make it snow, but I noticed that my vision was turning black-and-white. "Make everything in color!" I shouted out to the dream instead. Suddenly, everything was back in color again. Someone (can't remember who) asked what I meant by that (or something along the lines of that), so I began to explain. Unfortunately, I was already waking up by that point. "You see, when you're lucid-" I was about to say that it's harder to keep a dream stable when you're lucid, but I realized the dream had already ended.
I was up with my partner when he couldn't sleep. We stayed awake between 12:30 am and 3 am (yikes, that sucks since he had to get up at 6 am for work, but since I'm unemployed at the moment, I saw no reason to waste time in bed while he was up struggling). While we were awake we edited his latest recording for the upcoming album, tweaked the flange and room effects and equalized the bass. Then about 3:10 I crawled back in bed, he followed within 5 minutes and I fell asleep before he did. The alarm started going off at 5:30, so the dream I remember must have taken place between 5 am-5:30 am. I remember teeth pulling. I don;t know if I was pulling my own teeth, or if something else was pulling them, but whatever the case, no teeth were removed, it was just the painless sensation of them being pulled or tugged against. I remember thinking No, you are not taking my teeth. I demanded a release. Dream then changed and I was floating in a sea of pink and yellow colors, orange and gold. I knew I was being "woken up" while in the dream. I knew I was dreaming because in this floating pink sea of awakening, I didn't care for a cigarette. I remember discussing the idea of teaching dream interpretation with someone, but I didn't see who it was. I didn't need to, not knowing who the being was didn't bother me. As I backed away from that dream, I went "through" a void in order to wake up, where I passed by a scaly, old face that was very close to mine, and I called on the shield of white light to protect me as I made my way through this dark area. Then I woke up, I remember wanting a cigarette.
I had a lucid dream, I was in a field in the summer and I kept telling myself 'I'm dreaming, I'm dreaming' so I wouldn't forget, then I wanted to find you ( T ) so I thought of the snowy field I walk across to get to yours and everything faded into blackness then turned around and you were there wearing a winter hat and I realized the field had appeared again but all wintery and I hugged you and said I'm dreaming but you didn't say anything just smiled.
So last night i woke up for about 10 minutes due to heavy wind.. then i fell asleep and got into a nightmare. I was on a parking lot with scary vampires, and immediately i knew i was dreaming already because of the feeling.. and before i did a reality check i woke myself up because i didn't want to continue...

A lot of the details of the dream are fuzzy but there are a few things I remember. I had somehow ended up in a place with a bunch of snow, which triggered my memory and made me remember one of the basic tasks for the month, to make it snow. I also remembered reading about dream stabilization though so I tried to do that first. I crouched down and felt the cold snow on my hands and feet and its grainy texture. The snow felt very real, but I still had trouble focusing on things far away and some things in the distance seemed to change slightly every so often. Even if the dream wasn’t that stabilized yet though I decided I’d attempt the basic task for the month. I waved my hands in the air and willed the snow off of the trees and swirled it in the air, then I focused on the clouds in the sky and willed some snow to fall from them as well. When I was done I looked up into the sky and watched the snowflakes gently fall to the ground. After the previous event I somehow ended up indoors, and lost my lucidity for the most part. There was a wall of snow indoors and I was trying to dig behind different layers of it to get something but I don’t know what. Later it changed again, and I remember being at some place with a lot of big, intricately decorated buildings with my mom and dad who were talking about pregnancy for some reason. We left that place on a boat. There was supposedly somebody evil that lived there even though it looked colourful, bright, and happy. The next part in the dream I remember is being at some sort of park place. I think I’ve been there before in previous dreams. The place I was at was surrounded by pine, spruce, birch, and other trees found in a Canadian forest. I was getting onto a miniature train that took people from one end of the forest to the other. In the middle of my ride though I decided to get off at the top of a grassy hill, which wasn’t very smart I soon realized. The train I had been on went on without me and sun was setting and it was beginning to get dark. I knew that a lot of carnivores would be coming out at dusk. Soon enough, I saw four large brown bears. I they walked around in the middle of the path and along the tracks for a bit then walked back into the woods. As soon as they were behind the trees I ran down the hill to try to get back the entrance of the park, but the bears were only slightly in the bush and saw me. One of the bears jumped on top of me. I screamed and then made squeaking type noises. The bear put my arm in its mouth bud didn’t hurt me. It was only playing. They bears reminded me of my dogs. It appeared that they were still fairly young. After that one of the train type things came back and I and all four bears went inside it for some odd reason. While in the train we saw a wolf but I wasn’t really worried since I had the bears with me. As we rode further we eventually met up with another person on a train. Soon after that I woke up.
So I got home from school at like 2 and went straight upstairs to take a nap. It was off and on sleeping, I think I had one dream, but I woke up at like 4 and was reflecting on that dream when I realized I was slipping back to sleep except I couldn't move myself into not falling asleep. So I was wiggling my toes trying to wake up when my eyes finally closed and I was in this state of mind awake body asleep. I could see the outline of some girl's blue face as I could hear these ringing noises from probably one of The Weeknd's songs. Before I even realized it, my legs were moving and I was running down a hallway with a bunch of doors. Everything started to become very vivid as I kept thinking about this being a dream, but I couldn't stop thinking of how I couldn't move my arms and then my legs stopped as well, then I woke up. The problem I have with WILDs is that I can't help but think that I'm really in my bed as the dream is forming at first, so I can't move at all.
I was walking down a forest nature path. The forest was rather dense, and it looked as though it would be difficult to walk if you were not on the path. I became lucid out of nowhere. I walked for a short while, and summoned my dream guide, Manei. She was walking in front of me, and slowly started to get ahead. I awoke after awhile. I later had a much longer (or not really longer, just better recall) dream. I was in like a grasslands, or African looking area, like the Serengeti. I walked over to a large tree isolated in the middle of a grassland. I heard the voice of a young girl. She told me a story about how she was a spirit, and that her body had been blinded to the tree by an evil witch. As she told me this, I began to make out the vague outline of a child's body in the tree. She then asked me if I would be willing to set her free. I began to claw and kick at the portion of the tree. Eventually I managed to bust apart the wooden tomb, but when I opened it, a skeleton fell out. Her bones were brown and covered in pieces of rotten flesh. It was a rather frightening sight, really. A child's bones scattered across the ground. I slowly walked away from the scene. As I did, I began to toy with the idea that I might be dreaming. Rather quickly, I came into a group of lions. I can remember there being a male (identifiable by his maine) and two female lions. I became fully lucid around now, and began to take command of the dream. The male lion began advancing toward me, growling. I yelled at him that I was dreaming. I told him not to roar. He stopped and looked at me. Around this time, a group of people started to gather around me. They were some kind of tribal group because they were all wearing animal pelts, and one of them had some kind of spear or scepter. I should also note that they were all adult men. The Lion began undergoing a transformation. His head got longer and his mouth opened, his head looked more like a crocodile now. His fur began to shed revealing a spiked black form, and the eyes began to glow red. I was not sure whether the tribe men were friendly or not. They were just approaching me. I felt overwhelmed by the threats, so I decided to try dream spinning. I started to spin, and I could see the environment changing from the hot dry African plain to the outside of a small white house built on the side of the hill. I didn't get a very good look at the environment I was entering, but the whole place felt enclosed and sheltered by tress. I think that my dream guide, Lia was there agian. Afterwords, I was getting told a story by my younger cousin. He was telling me about how he built a house out of 3,180 bricks, but it all came down because he didn't use any cement. I lost lucidity and woke up. I am intrigued by one thing: The lion's transformation into a black monster. This has happened before, in fact it happened in my last lucid. And I've seen the same variety of monster several other times, even in other dream journals.

Non-Dream Dream Lucid I was in a neighborhood watching two small dogs run around. They approached a fenced off front yard towards a small sign on the iron fence that says "Tiny Animals Only". In this yard there are lots of tiny animals running around. They were so small I couldn't identify what they were but I know some were snakes. Most of them looked like some sort of large insects. I think to myself that these dogs can't enter this yard as they are too big to fit through the fence. The two dogs then squeezed through the fence entering the yard. The two dogs ran around the yard and were quickly attacked by the tiny critters. They ran back out of the yard, through the fence and onto the yard I was standing on, where they shaked the critters off on the grass. It occured to me at this point that I must be dreaming. I carefully told myself "I'm Lucid", trying not to wake up. After I sucessfully stabilized, I noticed a middle aged, balding DC in a blue polo shirt staring at me angrily. I assume he was the owner of the house and the dogs and was angry at me for letting the dogs in the neighbors yard and spreading tiny critters all over his lawn. I tried to use telekenisis to get rid of this man but it didn't work. A panic broke out among the other neighbors standing around at this point. "Get a golf club!" one of them yelled. I tried desperatly again to use telekenisis to get rid of the DCs now surronding me but it was no use as I'm not yet skilled enough. I heard a thump and woke up.
Thoughts | Non-Lucid | Lucid | Techniques/Aids WBTB full 30 min. 1/2 cup cold coffee. + 2MG melatonin and 200MG B6 I laid for about 15 mind doing SSILD. I felt too awake so I took 2MG melatonin and 200MG B6 for the hell of it. Went back to SSILD. Lucid #99 December TOTM fail 5AM I found myself in vibrations. For some reason I just waited instead of transitioning out. I think it was because the vibrations were so weak that I was unsure. This part is just fragments and vauge so I am not sure I did the TOTM or not. I end up outside. I remember snow. I get lost in each flake and feel like I am a snow flake myself. I float and lose vision. I open my eyes but I have double vision of my room and the dream. I run a dream hand over my face to rub my eyes. It feels real but I know it is non-physical. *Memory gap* I am dreaming still but non-lucid. I am in the living room cleaning absentmindedly. I am thinking about how I had a lucid dream and this was the 3rd night in a row. I feel positive that I can do it a fourth night and break my record. Then I think, "Hey! I still have time to sleep. Maybe I can have another lucid before I have to go to work." I see the couch and lay down to WILD. I feel SP/vibrations almost instantly. I think to wait then realize that I don't know why I did that before. Effortlessly imagined my feet meeting the floor. This time I was on the wrong side of the bed and not even on the couch. I was afraid of vision problems so I kept my eyes closed and felt my way out of the bedroom. I kept thinking "there will be light there will be light" over and over. I open the door and see the rest of the house is dimly lit by the scentsy pot. (Yes! That was the waking life plan!) I was pleased that it carried over into my OBE. I walk to the front door singing, "Theeeeeee sun will come out tomorrow bet your bottom dollar tomorrow..." I was still hoping for some light out side. I have dealt with vision and darkness to many times in OBEs. The front door opened easy. I half expected issues here. Out of habit I remembered to unlock the deadbolt and I was out. At this point I remember that my real body is just in underwear and I start to feel naked. I realize that it won't matter in a dream and I continue on. I step onto the front porch. I see the yard and it is dimly lit like pre-dawn. I vividly feel my feet on the cool concrete and my toes curl over the edge of the front step as I push off to fly. For some reason I don't get very high and I just hover a foot or so. But I am able to do so and a high speed. My sidewalk leading from the porch to the street becomes impossibly long. I feel the wind swirl around me and blow throw my hair. I hear a rushing sound like wind as I dart forward. I see beautiful pink cherry blossomed trees lining each side of the sidewalk. They are incredibly beautiful and I gasp a "wow". After a moment I stop flying. I want to do the TOTM. I look up and see a full moon above me. I look to the east and see that the sky is getting brighter. The sun is coming up. I can't see any northern lights, so I clap my hand and put them up in a grand gesture. I say to the dream, "Northern lights!" Nothing happens. I look all around in the sky. I see the moon still and some stars in the darker part of the sky to the west. All this looking around makes me dizzy and the dream fades to fast to do anything about it. I wake up.

Awake Dreaming Lucid So when i woke up for like 2-5minutes i start to recall this last non lucid dream, but i was too tired and sleepy to write it down.. so i kept recalling and recalling this dream for the next few minutes till i felt a strange feeling over my body..not annoying or fearful..kind of nice.. not awake anymore but neither sleeping.. Then suddenly it was like being in the computer program of the matrix, where they can load everything.. when Neo gets his very first plugin. At first i didn't see anything.. i was there but my dream still had to be made.. still had to get color.. that's when i was like .. HUH..Hmm.. I..THINK..IAM..DREAMING..HA-HA.. So i was like Hmm Lets try to plug my nose and breath through it.. And yes.. I could.. then i was like ROFLWTFOMFG i am really dreaming.. then my lucid start to gain a little color.. but i felt i was going to wake up due to excitement..then i tried to rub my hands.. but then i realized i was rubbing my real hands in my bed, then immediately after that it felt like my nose and mouth was closed and stuck together with glue.. and when i opened my eyes and really got my awake feeling i realized my mouth was wide open.. Haha
I was rushing home from somewhere out in space, and I realized that it was impossible, so I became lucid. There as always was an initial rush, but I remembered to stabilize it, spinning and rubbing my hands together. When I was done, there were lights on the walls of my hallway, and I went out to talk to my grandparents, I wasn't able to muster much dream control this time, so I may have drifted out of lucidity at this point. They were saying things about each other that I will not disclose out of privacy, and I was talking to them in return.
Not last night, but the night before I had my first Lucid dream in what seems like forever! i was in a building with dim lighting which resembled the recording studio I work at. I was standing in one of the studios, and thought to myself: "Wow, this is boring... I'm in a dream, I should do whatever I want." I went lucid, walked towards a wall and managed to walk through it, which was an amazing feeling! I proceeded to walk through several walls, but after a while I decided I wanted to go outside. I walked towards a brick wall, which posed as the perimeter of the building. As I passed through it, the blinding light of day was so much so that it overcame me and I woke up
This was the Aurora Borealis Task of the Month, and led to a really outstanding dream with some personal firsts. Some big ones for me were changing day to night and performing the task while the DC of a loved one (my son) accompanied me. Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid Lucid #36: Aurora Borealis Wife and I are sitting at our breakfast table chatting with RI, a high school friend that I haven't seen in a long time. I look at the clock, realizing that it's 1:10 and I'm ten minutes late for a #DVA chat session. Wife and I go upstairs without IR, leaving her just sitting at the table. (Rude, I know.) I'm about to join the #DVA chat when Wife says, "Shouldn't you show her out of the house?" I leave, and become lucid halfway down the stairs. The downstairs is different from my real house now. The floor has become shag carpet rather than hardwood and the ceiling is barely six feet tall, my head reaching right to the top of it. IR is still at the breakfast table but she just smiles and waves me on. My three-year-old son E is waiting for me at the back door, and I scoop him up in my arms, knowing that he would love to see the aurora borealis. I step outside and find that my back yard is either gone or has swollen to gigantic proportions. There's a huge barbecue going on to my left. Vividness is top-notch -- I literally cannot detect any difference in visual quality between what I'm seeing now and what I see in waking life. I walk on, passing a set of grills where a man in a red football jersey numbered "52" is turning over some burgers. His shirt is emblazoned with the words "UNCLE BO". I stare at the guy for a moment, a bit stunned by how real he looks. I perch my son on my shoulders and start running past the barbecue into a city. A long line of DCs is waiting in line for a movie or a show. I notice that C, someone that I haven't seen since high school is manning the ticket line. He smirks at me and shrugs his shoulders when I recognize him. I walk to the base of a skyscraper and look into the sunny sky. I need darkness for this Task of the Month so I tell my son, "It's getting dark now." The sun fades out of view and the color of the sky deepens to twilight. As soon as night falls, I see the autora borealis above me! I start to rise off of the ground but my son is squirming on my shoulders, saying, "Don't want to go! Don't want to go!" He starts crawling around on my head, even giving me a little foot to the face. I shift him so that his arms are around my neck and he seems to settle down. I fly straight up, staying close to the skyscraper to keep my bearings. I'm feeling an overwhelming sense of excitement as I fly toward the aurora. I'm so pumped that I shout a continuous battle cry as I rise. In response, the dream starts blasting a full symphonic orchestra soundtrack to my ascent. Looking back this seems totally cheesy, but I can't even care! It was amazing. The music was fantastic... I wish so badly that I could have somehow recorded it. I fly over the Aurora and see that inside it conceals a vast mother ship, almost like a space carrier that stretches for miles. As far as I can see down the length of the ship, smaller yellow spaceships are taking off from the carrier to destinations unknown. As each leaves the mother ship, it emits this purple flash of energy that joins the rest of the Aurora. It's the energy "exhaust" of each of these smaller spaceships that creates the aurora. All along, the soundtrack (and, amazingly, my battle cry) keeps going. I realize that I can do just as these ships are doing and I start pouring that purple energy outward from my palms, and it bleeds into the rest of the Aurora. More and more energy pours from my hands as the dream begins to fade. Soon all I can see are my hands, and after that I wake up.

WBTB half cup strong coffee at 4AM The woman in pink scrubs. I am doing plasma in an ackward chair. It like I am laying with my feet in the air and head down. I want my left arm done so I can play minecraft on my Galaxy Player with my right. I turn around right and it is a normal chair. I find it odd. I look to my right and I am now driving in front of the hospital and there is a strange woman next to me in pink scrubs. She is loving on me like we are new lovers. I relize this is all wrong and become lucid. I hug her and say let me look at your face. I want to know who she is. She just looks like a familiar DC that I encounter but nothing like any one in real life. I note it and shrug. I remember a lucid goal now. Talk to the dream consciousness. Here is our convo. Me: Tell me something important. Her: ... Me: TELL ME something IMPORTANT... Pleeeeease. Her: uh eh mmm me: What? her: Well uh. I start rubbing my hands for stability. her: My dad had a grey beard. Its... Garguyal. me: GARGUYAL? What's that? her: No not Garguyal. (laughter) I rub my hand on her arm and note the feeling. Again for stability. Me: What is there that's important; that you can tell me? What do I need to know? her: Nothing. You're already perfect. I laugh so much at this. I feels really great eventhough I don't believe it. This is was my wife tells me all the time. I let go and want to wake up to remember the conversation. The dream gets dark. I realize I had my eyes closed at the end while snuggling to this woman. I only went with it because that was the flow of the dream and I wanted her to talk. There is nothingness for a moment. I start feeling my hair. I find a really stiff hair and think it must be one of my gray ones. I play with it until a scene forms. I am now non luicd back in the room about to give plasma. I see my laptop on a counter top and want to write in my DJ. Now I realize I can't get up because I have a needle in my left arm. The alarm wakes me up. Good thing too because I would have forgot this lucid!
