    1. 12th Apr 2013 Battle, Trap, Curd making facility and Lucid from false awakening

by , 04-12-2013 at 10:15 AM (Scionox's Journal of Dreams)
      Dream recall from today's naps.

      Nap #1(fragment):

I was in the field, brown ground, i was the leader of the warrior squad, there was semi-ruined building that we decided to use for camping, but soon, we were attacked by enemy warriors. We were battling them at our best, but they kept coming. I saw an enemy leader while overlooking the terrain, i sent some of my warriors to deal with him, but they failed. I had to deal with this by myself, but before i went there one of warriors was saying that i should not go for enemy leader. I ignored him and soon was about to attack enemy leader, but it was a trap, leader somehow paralyzed me and then dream ended.

      Nap #2(fragment):

I was in some futuristic city and there was facility i was visiting. There was some blue humanoid, that i was calling 'Curdy', and he was operating machine that was making curd. He told me recipe and there was some kind of secret ingredient, then i went to home. There was cutscene happening back at the facility, Curdy went missing and there was dude that was mostly bald and he was in cyan suit. Then cutscene ended and i was back at home, i was trying to eat potato but was very hard to eat, then dream ended.

      Nap #3:

I woke up in my bed and i had to move some stuff around room< then i realized that i forgot to take off headphones, i took them off and binaural beats are still playing, so i am dreaming, dream is somewhat unstable so i rub hands on my way to balcony door. Then i slam the door open and fly outside, i feel the wings and i fly around pretty quickly. Shortly the dreamscape changes and goes weird, like two perspectives are overlapping, some parts of it are normal and some parts moving around with my field of view. After i fly over some street it goes back to normal and i decide to attempt transformation into a dragon again. There's not much of result though, my hands only got a bit bigger. I fly through some kind of temple ruins and suddenly my room appears right in front and before i can do anything i crash into the wall in the room. Dad comes into the room(i think my awareness decreased after this transportation...) and we talk about bunch of things that i barely recall, i recall something was about transformation. Then dream fades out and i woke up.
    2. 04/11/2013 - How Lucid Dreams Work - 1st dream (lucid)

      by , 04-11-2013 at 07:06 PM
I'm chatting lucidly with a male DC that seems to be almost otherworldly. He appears human but there's something more to him that I perceive as futuristic and knowledgeable.
My surroundings are unimportant and appear to be contained within some misty cave, dark and foreboding, secretive, the kind of place where stuff like this happens.
The man is dressed in white clothing and is holding a box to his chest, about 12 inches on a side and perhaps 7 inches thick. It appears to be internally illuminated and glows a light green color, though it is not transparent.
The man explains to me that if I place my hand on the box then the patterns my hand makes will determine the kind of lucid dream I have. This isn't hand-reading technology but in fact responds to various patterns, and it's these patterns that control all kinds of dreaming.
I place my hand on the box and the scenery around me shifts to a brilliant blue view of the ocean from cliffs. I flex my hand and it changes again to scenes from past dreams, odd-looking skies and places that don't exist.
I want to step into one of these scenes but everything gets fuzzy and I wake up, needing to pee. :(
    3. Disturbing dream

      by , 04-11-2013 at 11:55 AM
Hi. I had a very disturbing dream which made me want to understand and interpret it. As I have no knowledge of dream interpretation, I was hoping someone might shed a light on what they think this may mean.

I Saw (from a small distance) 4 or 5 black crows moving along in the waves of a very dark sea/ocean. They were (what looked like) riding the waves. Wings spread right out but keeping on top of the water whilst being pushed by it. They didn't look scared and looked straight ahead, but as I was looking at them I was terrified. Then I saw myself being lifted out of the same water, (although this time there was light everywhere) I was on a cross and rushed upwards from the depths up to a few metres over the water. I was terrified and I woke up feeling very scared, stressed, sweaty/hot and with my arms by my side almost like being on a cross.

If anybody has any suggestions on what this may mean I would really appreciate your input as this dream has left me very edgy. Thank you :-)

    4. 4/10/13 - Very frustrating LD (trying to lucid while lucid thinking I wasn't lucid)

by , 04-10-2013 at 11:36 PM (Leaving the matrix)
So I decided I was going to try a WILD, I got on my back on my bed and just started to do what I usually do before I fall asleep, which is day dream. (I'm guessing at some point around here I fell asleep), I guess I stayed lucid, but I didn't even know I entered a dream so I just kept trying to lucid. I remember during this that every time I closed my eyes I could still see my room and everywhere I looked through my eye lids. I also noticed my blanket wasn't on my body, and I contemplated putting it on me but I didn't want to ruin my efforts so I just though oh whatever. Finally something began to happen as I lay there, my body had these massive waves of vibration that would start from my feet and go all the way up my body, and i heard the vibration and each time this happened I tried to enter a dream by imagining places people or situations, and it would begin to work, I would almost enter a lucid dream within my lucid dream, but then the waves of vibration would end to soon for me to fully like transcend into one so I tried and tried through about 20 vibration waves. After what seemed like about an hour of this I woke up confused because I thought I was already awake, but in this awake my blanket was covering my body so I then realized I was freaking lucid dreaming and I wasted my l;lucid dream trying to lucid dream. It was so real.
    5. The not-so-great race. (LD #35)

by , 04-10-2013 at 08:25 PM (Lucid Time!)
I was being told some story about an alien invasion, while being relayed all of this imagery of the planet earth. I think I remember being told that the year was 2500.
Then he said we were going to "take a closer look". We fell in and were now looking at a city. I can recall that everything mostly looked the same as a city that would be built today. But we flew over a small mountain range and saw a much larger city.
Even though the city was from the future, most of the buildings looked like more modern buildings built today. There were no domes or really incredible futuristic buildings like some people would imagine. After a few minutes, I slowly began to notice that there were some futuristic buildings among the skyline.
We flew down over next to one of them. Despite being futuristic looking, it was much smaller than the buildings next to it.
There was a billboard on the side. It read "The Rebel Building Series: Providing clean energy for the city!" There were images of all the different types of futuristic style buildings on the billboard. There were only a couple different "Models" if these buildings, five or six I believe.
After that, we flew over an industrial district, and then I noticed two pieces of recognizable architecture. The Willis tower and the Dubai tower were right next to one another.
I landed. I was in my own body now.
I immediately did a nose-pinch reality check and realized that I was dreaming.
When I was not paying attention, the dream scene changed to a sort of nightclub restaurant, except there was no neon lights or anything, it was very dark. The Dubai tower and the Willis tower had shrank down to about ten feet tall, and were just large models on display in the middle of the restaurant.
I decided I wanted to do some flying.
      "Flight on!" I commanded.
      Nothing.
"Flight on!" I tried again, saying the command a little louder. Nothing.
      I held up one hand.
      "Booster flames?"
A little poof of smoke came out of my hand. It's common for this form of dream control to fail.
Some other dream characters came in and were standing around me. A male DC came down, he was flying. He told me that this would be a simple challenge between dreamers; a race. And only the winner was allowed to keep their dream control powers.
The race would go around both of the model skyscrapers, so the entire course was very short. The male DC, who seemed to have some kind of dream control at his disposal, and he used it to put a fence down to guide the race.
He told us to start, and I took off running. A huge group of people ran ahead of me, but they leaped over the fence about halfway through the race, I think they had gone to meet with family. I thought I would win, but when I turned back around and looked toward the finish line, I saw three dream characters that were nearly at the finish line.
I still knew I was dreaming, but my dream control seemed weakened somehow. I decided to use a cheat anyway.
      "Super Speed!" I yelled.
Instead of me speeding up, everyone around me slowed down, and was moving at about 1/4 speed. I ran past all of the other dream characters and finished first.
After the race, everyone seemed to have left except me, and two other DCs. One was a male by the looks of it, he was in a dark corner and the other was my dream guide, a girl named Lia.
For those of you who don't regularly read my DJ, I encounter my dream guide A LOT. I've had a long list of questions for her, and I tried to remember some of them.
The environment began to change, and I was shuddering. I was having difficulty focusing on what I wanted to say.
"Do you remember my first lucid dream, or atleast the first lucid dream in my Dream Journal, where I was at the school, and you rescued me and told me I was dreaming? Why can you not always do that?"
The dream was becoming very unstable. We were now in some neighborhood, outdoors in the daytime, the background was blurry and I could tell the dream was losing stability. I tried to rub my hands together and save the dream. It wasn't enough. I woke up before I could get an answer.

On a side note, I want to start my dream artwork page soon. I just need to get a good look at myself for a new cover photo.

    6. Let's Go Swimming

by , 04-10-2013 at 11:37 AM (Xanous' Dream Journal)
I'm driving a younger version of my nephew Mason to go swimming. I am not sure were this place is but we are driving on 32nd street near Main. I notice this old truck (what is it with old trucks???)... probably a 80's model, driving really fast and ran one red light. We stopped. There was a second red light a few blocks down and the truck stops on a dime. I look at Mason all like WTF? It totally looks like time just froze. I tell Mason there is no way he stopped that fast. Then it dawns on me what's going on here.

I say, "This is a dream." I realize I'm driving him in our new Dodge as I look around a bit. Mason says hey, "We have a car to keep up with people."
      Confused, I say, "Huh?"
"You know. Bigger engine. That truck is fast but we could catch them."
"Well this IS a dream. I could just take you swimming like we planned or we can turn this into a car chase."
Mason looks confused, "What did you say?"
I realize my tongue got thick and I was having trouble speaking clearly. I slow down and repeat myself. "We can chase him or we can go swimming. It's up to you."
      "BOTH!"
I realize I was working on a 30min limit. "No. I'll be waking up soon. We won't have time. I think I'll just take you swimming. That was the plan."
Then I start thinking about how to keep the dream interesting during the rest of the ride.
I remember something and look at Mason, "DUUUUUUDE. TASK OF THE MONTH!"
Mason seems disinterested. I look around wildly and feel the dream destabilize a bit. I calm down and look at the steering wheel thinking. Was it grant a DC a wish? No that was last month. Make a diamond! Well I'm driving. OOH. Draw what happens next!

I reach up to the glass (basic summon) pretending I have something in my left hand to draw with. I feel the dream starting to darken so hurry. I make a white stick figure with a simple wavy line through it like water. There. We're going swimming.

I wake to FA and get on DV to talk to CL then as I am DJing I wake up.

    7. He Killed A Man While LDing

by , 04-10-2013 at 11:23 AM (Xanous' Dream Journal)
Not adding this one to count since I woke immediately after lucid

      4:29AM - DILD

Some kid was talking about how he ran into the street and attacked a man and killed him in his sleep. I questioned him further and eventually found out that he did it while in a lucid dream. He thought he was dreaming but it really happened in real life. I tell him that is one of my fears. Then I realize the subject and become lucid. I wake immediatly

I look at the clock. 30 min to have another LD.

    9. 10/4/13 - lucid dream and non lucid

      by , 04-10-2013 at 09:20 AM
I was walking into my local cinema called Odeon. However the layout of the cinema was not the same. The layout was the same as a cinema that is further away from me called Vue. So i simply walk through the cinema waiting in the line. Behind me is an aggressive man who wants the line to go quickly, i just ignored him. I get to the front of the queued its my turn. I said to the blonde lady "Can i see Oblivion in IMAX for 9pm tonight please?" and she turned the computer monitor towards me to let me pick my seats. It was pretty empty and i didnt know if my dad wanted Premier Seats or Normal Seats.

I then tried to look for my phone is the pocket that i ALWAYS keep it in. I never put my phone in a different pocket, ever. However i wasnt able to locate it. Then i looked in my other pocket and took out a device that does not exist. It was some device that looked thin and was running a newer version of Windows Phone 8. In fact, this device looked so good im going to draw it out later and keep it. (Your dreams can make you into an inventor..) At this point is was really confused where this device came from and i was questioning ideas in my head. Anyways, that aggressive guy was behind me and he started shouting "hurry the fuck up". I found my actual phone in the same pocket and i unlocked it to ring my dad however 2 things occurred:

      1) My Nokia Lumia 920 home screen turned into an iPhone screen and i was struggling to locate the Contacts Folder
      2) When i did locate the folder my dad was not on my contacts list

So i became really confused and started to worry. I simply left the cinema and i do not remember what happened after that but i was then suddenly on a Bus that was not even near where the cinema was or where i live!

My best friend was on this bus sitting on the chair opposite me. He started talking about how he is also going to see the movie 'Oblivion'. I took out the unknown device that i had in my pocket and showed it to him. He said "you stole that from someone didnt you? its probably a prototype". and i then shouted "DUDE I DID NOT STEAL THIS YOU IDIOT" and everything froze. The bus stopped and everyone on the bus( i think you call them dream characters?..) just stopped moving. I then started whispering uncontrollably and i did not know ht i was saying until it became louder and louder the whisper said "drreeeammmingg" and then i shouted myself "I AM DREAMING". I then looked back at my friend and since i knew he was not real anymore i wanted to try something that I HAVE Never been able to do.

I stuck my hands out with my fingers pointing at my friend and i just screamed and electrical sparks came shooting out my fingers and my friend was being electrocuted and i can remember his face having his eyes closed and his mouth wobbling as he was being electrocuted by my hands. i then stuck my hands in his throat and gave him another electrocution in which he then just zapped away from the face of the dream.

After that i wanted to teleport to a beach. so i just kept jumping in the air focusing on a yellow sand beach and then something really strange started happening. My dream scene was fading away and i started to see Shapes of triangles and squares. Then i saw a circle with 4 triangles around it, like a "NORTH SOUTH EAST WEST' compass. But i still kept focusing on the beach and after a few seconds i was there! Just standing in the middle of a beach with and ocean and one palm tree to the left of me. And after than i can only remember me walking on the beach. I then walk up feeling some strange vibrations around my body....

      But thats it.

    10. Van's first W.I.L.D.

by , 04-09-2013 at 07:46 PM (The Incoherent Scrawlings of a Madman)
Somehow managed my first ever WILD when I wasn't even trying to. I was trying to nap during a really hot day and my face was sweating so I rolled onto my back and in what seemed like seconds my vision started to get fuzzy/blurry and my jaw locked tightly. I honestly thought I was going to break my own teeth so I took the chance and moved my jaw open slightly, which felt like forcing open a rusted hinge. Then stuff started to happen really fast. I started to hear really loud, clear music, and felt like I was being pulled upwards by a bunch of strings attached to my body. I started floating fast over waves or something, like i was a crowd-surfing plank of wood. I knew exactly what was happening at this point and was not scared or confused at all, I even tried(with some success) changing the sensations I felt as I floated. The transition into the dream was pretty smooth, as though the hands that were carrying me just dropped me off right outside the gym of my high school. right as i was being dropped off i considered stabilizing or calling for Radical Larry the Wizard(my favorite DC), but i was so excited that i just didn't. I ran and ran, flying through walls and throwing chunks of metal at groups of passing cheerleaders. The lucidity and the dream both ended pretty quick, as you would expect under those conditions. So the dream sucked, but getting there was HELLA TIGHT!

    11. TofY Part 7! The Final Task! - New York

      by , 04-09-2013 at 04:32 PM
I started out my WILD on the balcony of a hotel room. I wasn't wearing very much, just a chiffon dress, and both my hands were on the railing of the balcony. My boyfriend walked out of the room behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist, making me smile quite a lot. We stood there for a while until I turned round and kissed the tip of his nose, telling him I'd be back in a minute.

Eventually I exited the hotel and walked out onto the street below. It was a short walk to the empire state building (My dream self must be rich to afford a trip like that ) and I began the walk, realizing along the way I had no shoes on. I reached the bottom of the esb and looked up at it. This is my least favourite task so I was pretty reluctant to do this. I shut my eyes and concentrated on the fact that I wanted to transform my self into a giant primate (for... some... reason... :L) and stood there for a while, pretty soon feeling my limbs extending and growing.

When I reopened my eyes I discovered I was now a giant primate and even though I didn't particually want to be, I needed this task finishing. People around me had already started to scream and run away so I thought I might as well start scaling the building.

It took me a while but eventually I reached the top of the building, swinging round from the top of the spire whilst I waited for the task force to respond. They eventually did and some fighter jets came soaring through the sky and started firing some tranquilliser bullets at myself. It was quite a scary experience and I really didn't like it. A bunch of army people were surrounding the bottom of the building and trying to set up nets and stuffs. As the jets flew past I tried to grab out at them to complete the second part of the task. When I realiised this wasn't working I started to climb down, being hit by a few tranquillisers on the way down and making me a bit drowsy. There were tanks and other things on the ground so I picked one of these up and threw it upwards at one of the planes, causing a collision and a pretty explosion in the sky.

At this point people started to try and actually kill me so I decided now was a good time to run. I ran as quickly as I could to the Brooklyn river and jumped in it, transforming back to my normal size and climbing out, running past the army guys and into my hotel before climbing in the shower to wash the rubbish off of my skin.
    12. Turning hypnogogic imagery into LD

      by

      , 04-09-2013 at 04:02 PM (Pog's Dream Journal)
O.K, last night I had a really bad and fitful night's sleep. The silver lining was, though, that with many interruptions and night-time disturbances I was able to try WBTB (or something similar) quite a few times

The result was that I had a lot of time with some great (and often quite beautiful or surprisingly clear) hypnogogic patterns/images. It seems that since practicing LDing I've had more and better pre-sleep imagery like this (another cool effect from greater dream awareness). A few times these patterns seemed to bleed into full dreams, and on a couple of these occasions I was lucid. The downside was that even though I was lucid I seemed weak and unable to control much, and that these dreams were so unstable that they lasted only a very short time (dreamlets?) before I woke again. I suspect this was because of the bad night I was having and how tired and stressed I was.

Oh well, at least I've learned that a) greater dream awareness enhances hypnogogic imagery, and b) that pre-sleep hypno stuff can be turned into LDs.

All I need now is a decent night's rest with unbroken sleep!

    13. Forgotten Lucid

by , 04-09-2013 at 01:35 PM (Xanous' Dream Journal)
I took 100 Mg b6 and 1000 Mg taurine prebed and fell asleep around 10pm

At 12:13am I woke from a lucid but was so sleepy I only entered this in DJ

"Lycid. At least.sotbingto those am ppl"

Unfortunately I have no idea what that means. I do remember an indescribable blurred image the lucid feel. I was pleased with myself but failed to commit the dream to memory. Those early REM LDs get me all the time.

At 3:19 AM I finally forced my self to do a quick WBTB.

I recall a fragment of carrying my son on my shoulders through some over grown grassy field. We reach the top of a hill and I see a run down Family video. We go inside and make some purchases.

I didn't have time to make mugwort tea since I had to get up a 5 today. I figured the effect wouldn't have time to kick in with enough dream time left over. Maybe I was overly worried. So, on a whim, I took 300mg DMAE + 200 mg B6. I recalled no other dreams though I did make several DEILD attempts all to no avail.

    14. Quick DILD

      by , 04-09-2013 at 12:24 PM (Ophelia's Book O' Fun II)
Another short LD I had on my vacation:

Again, I was tossing and turning alot in the hotel bed. One time when I drifted off, I began dreaming that I was walking down the back hallway at work. Fortunately it's a long hallway irl, so I guess that gave me just enough time to think, "Hey, I was just in my hotel bed not 4 seconds ago!" So that got me lucid, and decided to wreck the store (didn't even think of any pre-thought-out goals or TOTMs, I just wanted to wreck stuff). I found a small square board with wheels (imagine a skateboard, only square in stead of elongated). So I sat on it, and rolled down the hallway, knocking things off all the storage shelves on both sides with my hands as I went down the hall haha.

Then I turned and went out the side door that leads to the floor. I started knocking down a display of glass juice bottles, when the store leader, Carmen, walked up to me. I stood up from my little vehicle, and decided I would finally give her a piece of my mind concerning the stupidity occurring in the bakery. As soon as I was upright, my vision got blurry ONLY where Carmen was standing. I could hear her voice, but couldn't see her. Before I even had much chance to be annoyed by this,
      I woke up.

This LD was so quick, that I didn't even remember it at first when I woke up for good that morning.

    15. 18th Lucid Dream

      by , 04-09-2013 at 02:53 AM
      April 6, 2013 - 4.5 hours in - 2 minutes - WBTB, FA, RC

I set a WILD alarm every 30 minutes starting 3.5 hours in, and the first time I got up to drink water and use the bathroom, and each time the alarm went off I would FILD for a little, then did a reality check and was awake, and fell asleep quickly thereafter.

I forget the early lucid part of this dream, but I don't think much happened.

I am laying in bed and I plug my nose and I can inhale and realize I am in a dream. As I reminded myself to do previously next time I am in a lucid dream, I don't hurry out of bed but rub my hands together and move slowly. I don't open my eyes, but wait for visuals to appear, which they do, despite not really feeling like my eyes are open. The lighting throughout the dream is low, like a room in the early morning with the blinds closed.

Once out of bed, I run right through a wall next to the door, which is on the wall perpendicular to the wall it is on in reality. I pass through like it doesn't even exist. On the other side is an identical wall a few feet away, which keeps repeating each time I pass through, although with a slight variation in how far away the next wall is. While doing this I remember that this was one of my goals for my next lucid dream, so I do it a couple more times.

I then move on to my other main goal, of falling backwards, and then instead of passing through a wall again, I turn to the right a little into what seems like an empty room, but I don't look around. I let myself fall backwards, which I do until I hit the carpeted floor (like my bedroom which I started in) and stop suddenly. It doesn't hurt at all, but I 'wake up' in bed.

I think it likely to be a false awakening and I plug my nose and can inhale. I leave my bedroom and am heading up the basement stairs for some reason. I am looking at my phone and it has only the background of the home screen, which shows a clear sky at night, much like it would be in reality. I go towards the kitchen and decide to look at the phone more, since I accomplished my goals. Now it looks like reality with all the icons. I look for Angry Birds, so I press the "Apps" button, which gives me four evenly spaced icons, each one having to do with Angry Birds. During this time I remember not to stare at one spot for too long, so as not to cause waking up. One icon is called "Toss" and I select it.

Unfortunately, at this point my WILD alarm goes off again, ending the dream. This is very disappointing, but I am happy I accomplished my goals with time to spare to goof off.
