      A Whole Day Wasted! (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Once again, I had lived out an entire day in a dream. Actually, it might have been a weekend. I went to the beach with a few friends, weather was terrible, and came home again. I came home back to my old house, but it didn't strike me as strange. Me and my friend Hugh sat and talked for a while, then he went home. After he left, I flopped down on a beanbag and noticed that he'd left his phone on the floor beside it. I picked it up and went to the window, but he was long gone. It was cloudy, grey and raining a little bit outside. I sighed and headed out of my bedroom and along the landing. On the way I lazily reality-checked.

It didn't look quite right. I laughed to myself. Imagine if this was a dream, and I'd just spent all this time going about acting normal! Because I hadn't been paying full attention before, I looked at my hand again.
Thirteen fingers on my right hand. I counted meticulously. My mum approached and asked what I was doing.
"Turns out this whole thing isn't real," I murmured. I wasn't sure what the point would be of telling a dream character I was dreaming, they never seemed to acknowledge strangeness. "Well, bye!" I said, and opened the window to climb out onto the roof. Heavy, cold rain had started now, and people outside were running for cover.

      That's the last I remember.

    2. Jan 22 2010 - Almost WILD?

by , 01-22-2011 at 11:54 PM (Mah Journal)
So I really tired and decided to take a nap.

I was lying there. I went into the hallucinations and whatever. Eventually I went farther than I've ever gone with my WILD attempts. I was staring at a red seat on the subway. I was sort of in that half way state, where I can see and am almost in a dream, but at the same time I can still hear the real world around me, and I know that if I move or open my eyes I will just wake up. I was just staring at it, not sure what to do to try to separate into the dream. I decided to try to stare intensely at the seat to try to force my self into the dream. I ended up gliding forward really fast; the next thing I knew my face was flying towards a random person, and then I went through the person and the seat he was sitting it.

The subway vision vanished, and now I was looking at some sand colored wall. I tried to do one of those spinning techniques that people use to detach themselves into OBEs/WILDs. It didn't work; I was still just facing the wall. I then forgot about the opening my eyes thing, and opened my eyes... into the real world -.-

It's the farthest I've ever gone on a WILD. Could I actually have a chance to WILD now??

So I'm fishing inside my house, and I caught something that looked like a young beheaded bass. I was going to throw it back into the water, but there wasn't any water in my house anymore. Then I was going to throw it outside, but I was naked, and I didn't want to get dressed.

    5. Feeling Dizzy or "Drunk"

      by , 01-22-2011 at 10:52 PM
      Hey,
I'm a "newbie" to the site but have apparently been having lucid dreams for quite some time now. However, within this state, I get a feeling of being "drunk" or dizzy and when physically waking up am left with feeling "hungover". Has anyone else experienced this or have an idea why its occuring? It started about a year ago and has recently been occuring at least 3x a week. I'm unable to control this feeling yet am completely aware that it is a dream and unreal. My main worries are coming out of this with severe headaches, or stumbling as if I partied hard the night before.

    6. First DJ Entry - Natural Lucid Dream

by , 01-22-2011 at 10:31 PM (Glimpse Into a Mad Mind)
So I've decided to start a dream journal. For my first entry, I will describe a recent natural lucid dream, which I don't get very often at all. So it was a pleasant surprise.

I was in one of my classrooms up at the teacher's desk. The teacher was either an actual teacher of mine or my mother; I think it kept switching between the two. I was talking to her, and suddenly thought something along the lines of "Wait a minute, I'm dreaming. Holy crap, I'm lucid! I gotta post this on DreamViews! ". So then I decided to see if I could control anything. The teacher was talking, and I wanted to talk, so I thought "Stop talking now. Shut up." And the teacher stopped talking. I'm not sure if it was really me that did it or if she just finished her sentence but I felt pretty accomplished.

Next I was walking down a corridor (the whole place looked like the Hogwart's castle) and I thought "Ok so-and-so will be standing around that corner when I get there." It didn't work, but I guess I didn't really expect it to since I've never tried controlling a dream before, even when I did have a natural lucid dream. The dream ended with navigating an extensive tower full of staircases. Then I woke up.

I'd say it was a pretty successful dream. I've been remembering a lot of dreams lately and I'm loving it, except a few of them have been really scary

    7. January 21st-22nd, 2011

      by , 01-22-2011 at 09:37 PM
The first dream i remember is gaming related:

I'm playing a match with my friends in Counter-Strike: Source and we're using a really slow tactic and i get really impatient and angry and ends up leaving and says to a female, that i think is my girlfriend in the dream: I hate Varde (a danish city), the internet and Counter-Strike: Source.

The next dream was more random:

I'm sleeping at a girls house, i know it's someone that i know, but i'm not sure who it is exactly. The funny part is that it's actually one of my friends house from real life we're sleeping in, but in the dream it's hers. Her mom is kind of a bitch and i'm scared of her. In the middle of the night i wake up to go the toilet. I then walk out to the kitchen and drink a glass of water. I look in their fridge and it's pretty much empty. For some reason i'm considering making scrambled eggs, but i drop it. Moments later, her mom wakes up and go to the toilet. I then quickly go back to the bedroom to sleep again. After laying in the bed for some times the girl come in and tell she have been attacked by an old friend. First she says that the attack was very bad, moments later it wasn't that bad, and moments later it actually weren't bad at all.

I remember at some point yelling at my brother and being real mad because he wants to eat the last two pieces of candy that i bought. I also remember being very embarrassed.

    8. Convenient

      by , 01-22-2011 at 09:34 PM
I remember going on some sort of trip.. I decided to work at a convenience store there. My job was to take candy brains into the bathroom, dip them into ranch (which there was a pool of in the urinals) then put them in salads and drizzle the salads with ranch.. Strangely, I ONLY remember doing the first part of my job (dipping candy brains) I had trouble doing so though, because there was some sort of fight in the bathroom, I felt in danger so I left the bathroom ASAP..

When my boss complained at me for not doing my job, I calmly explained to him the problem in the bathroom. He said he would take care of it and he did.. Although I never saw what happened..

I am then handed a wal-mart sack full of candy for another job.. I see Kali, Paige and what I think is Lanie sitting at the booth next to my boss and I..

      "Ryker, you're the candy guy?"

I promptly answered "Yeah" as I was walking away..

      ---------

I then find myself entering "Dave's" (Our local convenience store) I go and sift through the stand in the middle that has salads and stuff, I find something I want but then I realize I only have 3 pennies.. I would feel bad walking in then leaving, so I casually stroll over to the door then I spot sun chips (love 'em) I take the Harvest Cheddar kind and then I go to get a fountain soda because I realize.. Mom sent me on my trip with 50 dollars, and I made 15 in "tips" at the other store.. So I decided to buy those for a dollar each..

As I am walking to the back of the store.. Dream fades...

    9. College in the 18th Century

      by , 01-22-2011 at 08:59 PM
      ---

I dreamt I'm visiting a foreign town far away. I vaguely remember driving up with a friend or two, though I'm not sure exactly who. When we arrive I learn that there is a strict curfew rule enforced by the "adults" who all appear to be scholarly women and men with 18th century facial hair styles and demeanor. They ring a bell and promptly close the doors shutting everyone inside.

One night, a friend and myself decided we had better plans for the night and, instead of going inside when the bell tolls, pose as "adults" and walk the streets. We wander the town to the outskirts search for a gas station where I have a run in with a man who knows me not to be an "adult." He makes passive threats to me, asking if I can run to a building in the distance faster than him in a less-than benevolent tone. I'm frightened, but pass it off and continue walking.

My companion has now assumed the spirit of my girlfriend in real life. At one point I remember holding hands. She has visited the town many times before and maybe even had lived here in here childhood for many years. She points out a bed of cushion and tarp which, she says, is used for dancing on. At that moment, I living severed head walking on crunches comes over the to tarp and begins to dance for us. Afterward, we're greeted by a man who is giving "free" things in return for our mailing address. He offers us an Xbox 360, but I tell him I'd rather fill out the one for free chicken wings. My girlfriend ends up filling both of them out.

Next, we're back in the town center were we first started. The place now reminds me of a college campus than it does a small town. The bell rings again, signaling the beginning of curfew. As the "adults" are ringing the bell a woman in man-made wings, designed to look like a butterfly wing and a sparrow wing, flaps her way to the top of the building. She perches and then takes off through the roof like it isn't there. Her wings are exceedingly more vibrant and magnificent on the other side. I soon realize it is merely a trick caused by the reflection of the water.

    10. 21/1/11 Collection of Fragments

      by , 01-22-2011 at 08:54 PM
      Non-Dream Dream Lucid

These are fragments of a dream that I remembered over breakfast - I remember all of them happening but not how they all fit together. The entire dream was a confusing mix of two places - my old school and my current high school. Despite being many miles apart in the real world, in my dream elements of both existed in the same place. Here are the fragments:

      • I was in hockey training on my old school grass pitch
      • I walk to my current school's pavilion where two boys from another school are sitting
      • They don't have enough people to play a match
      • They are wearing shirts similar to a certain house shirt at my current school
      • They are from their school's first XI
      • I am in my school's last team
      • We decide to play them two against my our entire team
      • CUTSCENE: What I understand to be a dormintory from the boys school. There are two columns of six or seven bunk beds stacked on top of each other. There is about 2m in between each level. There are boys jumping and swinging from rafters. One boy jumps on the matteress of the top level bed, and plummets through all seven mattresses below him, only to grab a beam just before he hits the floor. I remember thinking "you could only jump that high in a dream"
      • SCENE 2: I am in my room at my high school.
      • My mum calls me and asks me to meet me half way to the carpark of my last school, a five minute walk.
      • I am in my room again, with a friend from my old school. He smells faintly of smoke.
      • I am in my room again, a teacher from my old school has come to visit. He comments on an elecric photo-frame showing pictures of me and my old-school friends.
      • I am in my room again, with a the parents of a friend from my high school.
      • SCENE 3, different dream? :Looking at what an internet game called ArmorQuest with a friend from my high school.
      • Despite being an internet game, it is a real book resting on a table.
      • Me and my friend establish that the game used to be RuneScape, but had a name change.
      • We open it to have a look, it looks quite like 'Warhammer 40k: Dawn of War' computer game
      • We decide it must be like Warhammer Online, and resolve to try it out when we get home.

I feel I should point out that I have not played RuneScape or Dawn of War since I was about 12. I last saw the teacher from my old school over a year ago.

    11. A Missing Tooth and a Sick Friend

      by , 01-22-2011 at 08:47 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I was sleeping outside, on some slab of rock, in some kind of courtyard. Then, I remember I was eating something, I think I was with my parents, and I saw a tooth fall out into my hand. I didn't think it could have possibly been my tooth, but I felt a hole in my gum, in the middle of the bottom right side of my mouth. I started freaking out. I needed a doctor, but it was Sunday, so no offices were open.

I decided to go to my old apartment complex to see if the doctor that was apparently working there could help me. I walked up to the gate-like door to the entrance, and there were 2 guards standing there. One of them, a black man, (he looked kind of like Dr. Foreman from House), asked me for my ID. I got frustrated, because I knew he knew who I was. He had never ID'd me before when I lived there. I told him I didn't have one, nor did I live there, but I needed to see the doctor because my tooth fell out, and I needed to get it put back in. He refused to let me by. I started getting angry, very angry. I somehow fought my way through, despite him trying to restrain me.

Once I was all the way through, the guard called out, "Security!". I tried to convince all of the guards and security officers that I just needed to see the doctor. It wouldn't take very long. I begged them to please let me, but they refused, since I didn't live there anymore. My mom had been with me, and they escorted us out. I was very distraught. My mom told me as we were leaving that she would look up how to fix my tooth online. My dad apparently didn't think this would work though.

I was then walking with my dad, talking to him about some research I wanted to do on lucid dreaming.

Then, we were all at the grocery store. I kept tounging the hole in my gum, and I was getting restless, because I knew that I only had a certain amount of time before I could no longer put the tooth back in. I took the tooth out of my jacket pocket and dropped it, but quickly picked it back up. I told my dad to hurry up. My dad told me to relax, and that I had 3 hours before the time limit was up. It had already been an hour and a half, and he was taking his precious time at the store. He picked up 3 small squares of Jello that were on a plate, I know one was red, and maybe one was green but I can't remember the other color. He asked us if we wanted the Jello or something else, and my brother said that he wanted the Jello. We wandered down the aisles, and I was getting more and more impatient.

      ~

An old coworker of mine, Jonni, was very sick in what I can only assume to be some sort of hospital bed, but it didn't look like a hospital room. It looked more like some sort of bedroom, and the bed was huge. I had to take care of him throughout the dream, and I kept going back to check on him from time to time. He had to miss some concert or something because of how sick he was, but he didn't seem very disappointed. He knew he was very ill, and couldn't go. I felt like I really needed to be there for him; I had a strong urge to take care of him.

    12. Lucid and college

      by , 01-22-2011 at 08:16 PM
      Non-lucid Lucid

Jan. 22, '11: I tried the same breathing and relaxing method as the night before. I didn't get as close to consciously falling asleep as last night, but I did feel myself slip closer to sleep a couple of times.

Dreams: I was on a school bus. I had to climb over folded seats to get out. The door was very narrow and I barely fit through. I wondered how bigger people fit through it.
Outside the bus, there were lots of young people, possibly teenagers or college students. I jumped on a car and rocked it up and down.

I knew I was dreaming. Although I probably wasn't fully conscious. I was carrying some books or something. I threw them far away, toward some trees on a hill. The objects flew and vanished, with magic.
Then I jumped into the air and dived toward the ground. My hands went into the ground, without breaking the dirt. I could feel the soil even though my hands were nonphysical.
I walked around a bit. I was chewing on something. It was kind of gross and I wanted to spit it out.

I woke slightly and the scene changed.

I was in my grandparents' house (father's side), at a big table. I was still lucid, but my limbs were numb and hard to move.

A separate dream, no longer lucid: I was in college, a new semester, sitting in a computer lab. A class started. I had another class to go to. I got up and walked to the door to leave, but I had forgotten my soda and my shoes. There was a small fridge under the computer. I walked back to the computer, in front of the teacher to get my things.

Another dream: I was outside. It was dark. We passed a parked vehicle. Eddie pointed out a grasshopper on the vehicle, knowing that I don't like them. I mostly ignored him, saying I had seen it earlier. Then he threw the grasshopper at me and I woke up. I grumbled and said "little shit..."

    13. 01/11/2011 - "Turf War"

by , 01-22-2011 at 07:50 PM (Oneironaut Zero: Dreamwalker Chronicles)

      01/11/2011
      "Turf War"

I was in a hotel, I believe. My mom and Cierra were there. Mom had come out of the room, in a pair of roller blades and a black spandex outfit. She had lost a lot of weight and looked amazing. (She has been working out really hard, lately.) She told me that she was going for a skate and asked if Cierra and I wanted to tag along. I remember just being really proud of her and not being able to believe how much younger she looked.

Later, we were all walking through the hood. I had eventually become lucid, but I don't actually remember how or when. At some point, we came across a large gang milling around, outside of a house. They told us they were preparing for a war, and that a rival gang was coming to their block, to try to take over. They were pretty much recruiting everyone that could, to help fight, and since I was lucid, I figured what the hell.

Along came the insurgency. An enormous group of hoodlums came walking up the street, toward us. I didn't exactly count, but there were definitely 50 or more; tightly packed together, so that they all fit between the curbs of the two-lane street. Immediately, I broke ahead of "my own" gang, and started stalking toward them - smiling. I belted out something along the lines of :"Are you motherfuckers crazy?? You all have no idea what's about to happen, do you??" They didn't even give me the courtesy of a response. They simply opened fire. I continued walking forward, the bullets slamming into me me with all the brute force of pebbles at a concrete wall. I was calmly closing the gap between us, silently reveling in the can of whoop-ass I was about to open on these clowns. Suddenly, from off to my left, a huge dog came sprinting in toward me. I don't figure that it belonged to any of the other gang members, but that it was just a neighborhood stray. Before I could even react, it snapped it's jaws down on my right hand, pulling and tugging at me with the total force of it's body-weight. It really didn't hurt very much, but I couldn't ignore the raw power that was behind the rest of the dog. Even though I knew I was dreaming, and had dissociated from the biting sensation on my hand as best I could, the dog was still causing me to stumble back and almost trip over myself, trying to get free.

I don't remember anything after that.

    14. 01/08/2011 + 01/10/2011 - Fragment; "Blades and Bullets"

by , 01-22-2011 at 07:47 PM (Oneironaut Zero: Dreamwalker Chronicles)

      01/08/2011
(Still been playing a lot of Modern Warfare 2, so I've been having quite a few dreams involving firefights, but my recall has been pretty shoddy and I haven't been remembering very much lately.)

      "Blades and Bullets"

This dream was like a massive round of Team Deathmatch, and it was absolute chaos. It was night out, and the match was soldiers vs. ninjas. Everywhere, people were just running around, taking each other out. The ninjas were using every nook and cranny that could, to launch surprise attacks, whenever possible. We were on some sort of compound, that really didn't have very many walls, but had lets of wooden beams and banisters. It kind of looked like it might have been a Japanese compound, but I can't be sure. The battle was just fast and intense, there wasn't much time to seek cover or anything, just run and gun, whether down on the ground or running over the conjoined rooftops of the compound. Sometimes, either time would get intel on enemy meetings, waiting for large numbers to show up in one place before launching an ambush and taking out as many people as possible.

The last thing I remember is a huge swinging log trap coming down at me. When I dove out of the way, it flew passed and smashed into the base of another enormous tree, causing it to topple over...right toward me. I got up and ran like hell just as the tree crashed to the ground.

      01/10/2011
      Fragment

Another Call of Duty type of dream. I was in the city street at night, fighting waves and waves and waves of opposing soldiers, which were coming in from all angles. It was a lot like the "Body Count" Spec Ops mission on Modern Warfare 2. I took a lot of bullets, and this dream was actually very painful (though I believe I was wearing armor, so I was able to keep fighting). I also had a partner in this dream (I had played this mission with Todd, recently.), but I'm not exactly sure who it was.

    15. Flying

by , 01-22-2011 at 07:29 PM (redisreddish's mess of dreams is still messy)
I'm just going to retype one of those four dreams that got screwed up. They were all lucids, but one was a complete fail and I couldn't do anything in the other two.

~I was standing out in my backyard with a few friends. It was dark out, and a person started walking towards us. I woke up. Then I fell back into the dream and knew I was dreaming. My friends were running towards a clearing a little ways away. I followed them.

Once we were all there, I was really excited and I jumped up... But I have no idea how I did the next thing. I went high up into the air and was suddenly some amazing creature. I was tall and had pale blue skin with purple designs all over. And I had these wing-type things. My arms were really long and made the top part. Then the actual wing was sort of like a butterfly's, but it waved and billowed and flowed around me like a dress when I spun around and flew in the air.

I was flipping around and doing all sorts of wild tricks. I was still lucid, so somewhere in the back of my mind I was astounded that I hadn't crashed to the ground yet. But it was completely effortless and I didn't even have to think. When I eventually came back down, I was myself again. I don't know what the heck happened; maybe it was my excitement exploding out in some random way.

For the rest of that dream, my friends and I rode around in bumper-car things that shot lasers.
