    1. My First LD Since Joining this Forum

      by , 08-02-2010 at 11:29 PM
Last night I had my first LD since joining this group. There wasnt much to it except a new flight, or rather levitation experience. It was a DILD, as all my LDs have been. Once I became lucid I tried punching a hole in a concrete wall, that didnt work. I spun around and this seemed to keep me lucid. Then I tried to levitate and it worked, twice. I felt a sort of breeze lifting me up, like I do when I fly, then I was off the ground and I could move around in the air. I was in an enclosed space with a low ceiling so I couldnt fly off. If it had been open sky I bet I could have flown. This was my first levitation.

    2. Another crappy dream

      by , 08-02-2010 at 09:58 PM
I don't remember anything except for looking at my hands and I was missing both middle fingers.
I started rubbing my hands together but I started losing the dream, and I could feel myself lying in bed, so I woke up.

On second thought, my dream later consisted of me and some friends on a back porch in the middle of the woods. The animals running around we knew as Gods, and some adventures led us to transform to our own animals. I don't recall too much of this.

A later dream again included me and a few friends walking around a German festival as little kids. There were little games that entailed knocking over wooden figurines with a catapult launched ball from an airplane figurine. It was very crowded and for some reason my posse and I decided to walk up to one of the men running a little booth. I motioned for beer, and asked very innocently, "Bier?" He stared at me he and his friends broke out into laughter, except for one man who punched the booth manager across the face. I'm shady about the rest of the dream, except for my group later pinned the guy that threw the punch to the ground.

    3. Nightmare Involving a Terrier

I dug up this entry from a slightly older dream journal.

I was lying on my queen bed inside my bedroom; it had beige walls and plush tan carpet. My bed had a duvet with a rainbow stripe cover, and this was what I was lying on. The lights were dimmed, and this cast a slightly creepy feeling onto the dream. I got up and became semi-lucid as I did, walking towards the white door to my room, which was closed. I had to pull a bit to open it, but then it opened. I had more lucidity at this point, so I decided to walk out into the hallway and summon people. But the hallway was extremely dark, almost black.

Suddenly, I felt something bite me hard on my foot, so I pulled back. "Hey!" I demanded. "Whoever did that, get over here, now!" Since it was a dream, I figured I'd use a commanding voice to get what I wanted. It was a shadow, almost shaped like a terrier dog, and it slipped quickly in front of me, then stayed still. I looked down at it. "What was that for? Bad dog."

It began to growl at me, and I saw translucent red beginning to drip from its sides. as well as teeth being bared. "Sorry about that," I said, trying to appeal to its better nature so it didn't attack me. Perhaps it was more powerful than I could control in this dream. "Want to go out for dinner?" I asked, wildly improvising.

"Sure," I heard come from it. It was a squeak, almost like a child's voice. We both exited the room and walked into the dark hallway. A few steps and I saw cracks of light coming from a door...

It's daytime, probably as light as it could be, and I'm standing on a muddy road with my mother, because our car had broken down and we'd been walking for a few hours. This, I knew even though it didn't actually happen in the dream. On either side of the road were fields with wheat, barley, and anything else that would grow in the middle of nowhere. There were no trees, no houses, and no farming equipment.

My mom sat down in the mud; I could hear it sloshing in her jeans and shoes. I decided to look ahead and walk some more, and as I walked, I discovered wrappers of corn nuts. The packages were metallic, shiny, and in colors of evergreen, pink, and red. Most of them were empty, but as I bent down, I realized a few of them still had some left. The packages crumpled as I looked inside them for leftover.

I ate them ravenously. They were very crunchy, almost like hard candy, but I ended up swallowing them like pills, not feeling them go down my throat. I also saw a sky-blue twizzlers package, but I left it there.

    5. Man on a horse

by , 08-02-2010 at 09:28 PM (Ferret's Lucid Dream Journal)
I have recently started playing The Eldar Scrolls Oblivion again. Very good game!! In my dream I was in the country somewhere doing a mission for an old lady. Her husband came over on a horse with a few other guys. I cant remember what happened but I ended up with a realy cool black horse and an awsome sword.

I remember another fragment of an Oblivion dream but dont remember what happened.

I was playing some kind of FPS game. There were different character classes to choose, each person could fire bombs at the other and depending on your clas your bomb had different abilities like lock on or a time delay. The bombs were all a purply colour and it was realy fun.

I dug up this entry from a slightly older dream journal.

I was in my house. The lighting was dim; if I were to rate it on a scale of one to ten, ten being normal light in a house and one being dark, I'd give it a five. The house was large and modern; the walls were smooth light beige and the flooring was polished cherry hardwood. There were nooks and crannies and it reminded me of a house from a horror movie, but there was no horror aspect to the dream. At least, not yet.

The room I was currently in was completely empty, with the exception of a few packing beans and a thirty-inch television set mounted on the wall. I stared at it for a few moments, and then heard footsteps behind me. I spun around and was looking right into my sister's eyes. She was a few inches shorter than me, so she was looking up, but the look in her eyes frightened me a bit. She looked possessed.

I backed up a few paces and at the same time, she advanced. She was holding her hand up, which had a needle filled with light pink fluid. It was difficult to tell whether it was viscous or not, and to identify what it was, but whatever it might have been, I knew this wasn't a good thing.

She smiled as the look on my face changed from surprise to terror. I suddenly bolted and ran past her, barely missing a jab from the needle. I got to the stairs after a few good paces, but there were strips of wood blocking the way, and I couldn't crawl through a hole; there weren't any. I was pretty much trapped. My sister then stabbed me hard in the lower arm. I remember minutely realizing that this was a dream, so I told her "it'll take more than that." I grabbed the syringe and pointed it at her. "Go away."

The dream ended with the needle still in my hand.

    7. Candy Store

      Notes:
I dug up this entry from a slightly older dream journal.

I was inside a Candy Store; this place was around the size of a cell phone store and had blue walls, as well as solid and pale confetti-colored flooring. Lining the walls were clear jellybean candy dispensers with different colored jellybeans, and there were a few cylindrical rotating shelves with pull-out drawers spaced out in different areas of the store. The counter with the cashier was in the back of the store in the middle, and it too was painted blue with a confetti-colored countertop.

My thirteen-year old sister walked up from behind me and said, "I'll be like five minutes in here." I knew I would be taking slightly longer, but I nodded and went to shop. I browsed at a bunch of unidentifiable candy in plastic bags and then went to the jellybean section and looked at the dispensers. I didn't end up buying anything, but then my sister met up with me and she was holding a large, opaque white bag that said "5" on it. I guessed that the five meant pounds.

She went to the cashier to pay. She was a woman in her forties with curly ginger hair, and was wearing one of those little hats like they give you at Krispy Kreme.

Except it didn't have anything on it whatsoever, it was just plain white. My sister gave some coins to the woman without even giving them the bag to examine, and then she handed her a survey. My sister looked at me, raising an eyebrow, and then at the survey again. "What is that?" I asked her.

      "A survey about dogs."

"Why?" I asked her, completely dumbfounded. My gaze then flicked to the cashier who obviously heard my tone of voice and she said, "it's compulsory if you want to buy candy from this store. Take it or leave it, and the candy."

"This is bull," I spat, immediately frustrated, and took my sister gently by the arm. "We'll get candy somewhere else," I told her. I was still fuming as the two of us stormed out of the place.

    8. Shop, and Pokeball Flood Escape!

      by , 08-02-2010 at 09:09 PM (exdreamer's Dream Journal)
      Key: Non-Lucid, Lucid

      Shop

I was a blonde woman. I had just bought a clothing store. I had the idea that every item should be in an individual box when you buy it. People said it was dumb but I was insistent. Over the course of the dream the company grew larger and larger. Eventually there were lots of people trying to buy me out, but I wasn't interested. I was really tired. It was all rather... odd?

      Pokeball Flood Escape!

I was in a hotel with my parents. The water started gushing in. It was rising fast. We tried to run up higher but the stairs were blocked by random debris. We would surely drown. I had an idea! What if we were to hold on to a water Pokemon and return it to it's pokeball? Perhaps we too would go in to the ball and be safe from drowning? I convinced my parents it as a good idea and told the Blastoise I had chosen to come out of the ball in about 2 hours. At first I thought we would get inside it's mouth, but I realised we wouldn't fit so just went for holding on to it's shell. We held on to him and we all entered the pokeball with the typical white flash.
Hopefully we would've survived but the dream ended.

I like it when it's obvious where my dreams come from. It's pretty simple day residue stuff here. I was watching a program about the Sri-Lankan tsunami the other day and have been getting back in to Pokemon recently.

    9. Sister Fight & Not Much Else :(

by , 08-02-2010 at 08:18 PM (The Blue Saga)
      Dream Lucid Dream

I should start out by saying that I don't remember anything at all before I woke up at around 6:00. Nothing. Nada. This depressed me, because I usually have pretty good recall in most of my dreams. When my alarm went off I don't think it interrupted any REM activity either, because I don't remember breaking off from a dream like I usually do.

When I did wake up, I decided to try and turn my failure into a WILD. I followed the steps pretty faithfully but I don't remember seeing any HI. I do remember when the sleep paralysis started to take over, because I panicked and ruined it. GAH! Even after I'd warned myself a thousand times, too.

At this point I fell back asleep, kind of. I was on the edge, really close to awakening, but I was also lucid dreaming. However, I couldn't do any sort of lucid dreaming activity, because then I would wake up again.

After a while, i fell back into non-lucid dreaming. I was in my backyard with a friend and my two sisters came in. One said "Hey this is Jennifer," and pointed to a girl from an Aeropostale ad. "And this is Michelle. Do you mind staying with them for a bit?" We said okay, but Michelle said "Actually I'm going inside." My sisters went in with her too.

We talked to Jennifer for a little but finally went inside. Michelle was sitting at the table trying to sell some product to my sisters. They kept saying "No, we don't want it, no thanks," but she wouldn't stop. Finally they ganged up on her and started yelling in synchronization. I said "Wow, you guys just said the same thing at the same time!" (Stupid, i know.) They started laughing.I woke up.

    10. ...

      by , 08-02-2010 at 07:47 PM
I was on a stage... and Harry Potter. Playing the trumpet, ukulele, and saxophone. The other main HP characters were also on stage playing various instruments, and so was Agent Smith with another agent; they were battling us.

Not much else to it other than that I rocked out on the trumpet like a pro, the Agents then captured the others in this magic force field, and I had no choice but to eviscerate them with a cork screw.

Then my mom woke me up. Having not been able to move naturally out of the dream, I could still feel it -- it was like being in a very heavy fog.

    11. Soccer sport

      by , 08-02-2010 at 07:32 PM
This was a non-lucid I just had, but one of the very fun ones. It was my second time dreaming a game like this, soccer, but you can use your hands as well.

The game was about 5v5 (it might've been 6v6) and we were in a gym, my gym teacher from 3 years ago was there as the referee. The goals were much smaller than last game (which was a whole wall), and was the window of a door, about 4ft into the wall. My team had the force, and the other team didn't know. We used it to move the ball while only tapping it. After about 15 min, the ref found out, and said we couldn't use magic.

My team wore red shirts, the other team white. I think all my team members were black (probably me too) and at the very beginning I thought our team was called the teenage mutant ninja turtles (Never watched the show, but loved the old movie when I was younger).

After being unable to use our power, shit got complicated. We were owning them before, something like 7-2, but eventually the score got back up (it went to 6-5 in the end). I made 3 goals, but I tried to make two that failed. One of the rules was that you couldn't be in the doorway when you threw/kicked the ball in.

It was the last point, the clock was running out (it was counting up to 8:00, not down to 0:00) and one of the other teams players tried to steal the ball from me before I shot another goal. This is when the dream started fading. We got tackled on the ground, and two of there team were grabbing the ball. I was pulling hard though, and they were no match. I was just about to free the ball and make a goal, when all of a sudden, I realized that my physical arm was exerting force, so I moved it (apparently still using dream logic) so I wouldn't have to exert force on it, so I could use my dream arm correctly.

Sonofabitch. I moved my arm and realized that I was basically about to DEILD back, and I was still barely in SP. I tried to DEILD regardless, but it didn't work. I am getting better at detecting when I wake up though, and I guess I found another dream sign. This game. Hopefully I become lucid sometime playing this game, because I always thought of playing this kind of game with goals midair, and flying and teleporting and whatnot. Dreamball. I'll call it something like that.

    12. Floating seafood processing plant

      by , 08-02-2010 at 07:27 PM
Last night I had a non-lucid dream about a seafood processing plant floating in the middle of the ocean. The only entrance was a small ramp that you would run your boat up onto to unload the seafood. We pulled up to the processing plant in a small, canoe-like boat, with Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs as our leader. As we pulled up, a great white shark flopped up next to our boat on the ramp, trying to get some of the seafood, but quickly fell back into the ocean. Inside of the plant was a labyrinth of tubes and pipes, which fed various seafood products to different parts of the plant. There were no lights inside, and most of the workers seemed to have not seen the light of day in a long time.

In speaking further to the workers, they all seemed, frankly, like a bunch of hicks. They detested the outside world, and essentially their entire lives were centered around processing seafood. I walked among the rows of pipes and once in a while would grab a clam or muscle and eat it. I can't remember if I was eating these raw, or if they had somehow been cooked in the process. This was the end of that part of the dream, though the next fragment I remember was interacting with a boy from the plant, but was set in a supermarket.

Fragment: A boy from the processing plant was hiding in the lettuce pile in a supermarket vegetable isle. In order to entice him to come out, his older brother arranged macaroni noodles on sandwich bread and then put some Parmigiano Reggiano cheese on top of the noodles. The strange thing was that the noodles were cold, so I wouldn't exactly call it mac and cheese. At this point I woke up.

    13. Turmoil between an old friend.

      by , 08-02-2010 at 07:26 PM
I can't go into detail for personal reasons, but the dream basically consisted of me and an old friend who I no longer have ties with fighting to the death in his own front yard with no one seeming to stop us. At some point throughout this long fight, I found myself to be somewhere else all of a sudden.. not in the exact same location, but not far away. After realizing this, I took off for where we were before and when I got there, I seen him standing over what appeared to be my lifeless body. Afterwards, I realized I was seeing myself from an out-of-body perspective, and maybe I had died. He then jumped in a car and drove away very quickly. I tried to get on my phone to call my mom, and when she answered I said "I think I'm having an out of body experience, I think I may be dead.", to which she replied "No, I can't come get you right now.. you'll have to wait a bit.". At this point, I took the advice from this site into account and said "Wait.. there's no way I could use a phone if I'm dead.. there's no way I could talk to anyone, especially my own mother.. and why would she say she couldn't come pick me up when I didn't ever imply that I needed a ride?" Then, it hit me.. "Am I dreaming?" As soon as I asked myself this question, I believe that I became lucid. I grew excited and decided there was no reason to be scared of my supposed 'death', because I wasn't dead.. I was only dreaming. Next thing I knew, I was awake in my own bed.

It's not amazing by any means, but I'm almost positive that I nearly induced my first lucid dream. It's also great for me because I rarely remember my dreams, but after being on this site and reading tips I've been able to recount a lot of my dreams over the past few nights. If I'm not close to to incuding lucid dreams at will, I've definitely taken a big step from where I was at.
    14. Night 5: Snakes, school, and a feline dreamguide

      by , 08-02-2010 at 07:19 PM
Last night's dreams are pretty fragmented, but I figure since I'm fairly behind in my journaling I should get a move on.

To start, the first thing I remember is trying to get into a building of some sort but being hindered by a huge mob of snakes. It was me and one other person (maybe my girlfriend?) along with a huge golden retriever. We were trying to move the snakes with sticks, but eventually I ended up with a hatchet, so I just chopped them up. After a while I felt hopeless for some reason, like there was no way we'd ever make it through the snakes, so for whatever reason I just started sawing at the dog's leg with my hatchet. I soon realized that was ridiculous and cruel, so I stopped and hugged the dog while he ate the rest of the snakes.

I really honestly don't remember any sort of chronology for the rest of it. I do remember having several dreams within dreams, and for some reason I feel like I was trying to infiltrate someone else's dream (or maybe the dreams of multiple people, I don't know). At one point I ended up at my high school (which didn't look anything like my high school) for some sort of beginning-of-the-year orientation, even though I just graduated high school in May. I kept trying to figure out why I was required to be there, and I kept looking around for anyone I might know that had graduated with me to confirm that graduated seniors were actually supposed to be there, but I didn't find anyone. After I went through a bunch of hand-stamping and other weird shit (I did note that when the lady stamped my palm, it looked different every time I looked at it--I'm getting so close to a lucid dream but I can never remember to actually think that I'm dreaming, even if I notice things are ridiculous!), I started talking to a woman who was evidently the new leader of my "team" at the high school (right now we have a dean for half of the student body, then another dean for the other half, so I guess she was replacing one of them). She talked forever about absolutely nothing, and at one point a young man walked up and started making fun of her, saying I was only here for one thing: to see the ladies. At that point he very quickly drew a cartoonish girl on a piece of paper, and I smiled at him and walked into the cafeteria.

The tables were arranged in such a way that I think it was impossible to get to certain seats. It was set up like one of those impossible geometric shapes, like the endless staircase or the Möbius strip, so when I spotted my brother sitting at one of the tables and he waved at me (my brother's gonna be a junior in high school next year, so it made sense that he was at the orientation), I just jumped up on the tables and walked across them to get to him. I heard a female voice chastise me for it--when I looked to my left there was a girl yelling at me, but seeing as how she was still a student at the high school she was younger than me and I therefore didn't pay her any mind. Another dude started yelling at me for being an asshole to the girl, and I apologized, but I tried to explain to them that if I hadn't climbed over the tables I would had to go all the way around the cafeteria to get to that spot. They were still pissed and eventually I stopped talking to them. Also, for whatever reason, I had sunglasses on the whole time.

The next part was the last part. It made absolutely no sense, but that's because it was like a string of continual false-awakenings. I remember some sort of flood happening, but I don't know what that has to do with anything. All I can remember is that through all my fragmented dreams last night, I can remember feeling the presence of a certain being--a cat with a wizard's hat on it. He changes color depending on what dream I'm remembering him in, but he was always there last night. Finally my last dream consisted of me actually conversing with him in an entirely abandoned clearing surrounded by forest. We were on a brick-paved circular clearing and I was sitting in front of him. We were talking about whether or not I had proven myself capable of infiltrating other people's dreams for him, and I was really really desperate for him to consider me worthy. All I asked was, "Do you believe in me?" And he said yes. It was at that point though that I woke up at an earlier point in the dream where the flood was happening again. As I encountered people during that flood (my girlfriend included, I think--because at some point we had a conversation with her mother about our sex life, and I'm pretty sure her mother doesn't know that we HAVE sex life...yeah.), I laughed to myself, because none of them had any idea what was going on, but for me it unfolded exactly the way it had in my dream earlier, so I knew exactly what was going to happen. Then I had another false awakening and found myself with the cat again, and realized he'd tricked me. Still, I couldn't be angry because I realized he was just testing me to see if I was good enough to infiltrate dreams, and I'd just failed his test. I asked him if he stilled believed in me, and he said, "Of course I still believe in you."

I feel like that process might have repeated itself a few times...but finally at the end I was watching a movie with my girlfriend and two other people, a guy and a girl who were siblings that I didn't recognize, and as we watched the movie I realized that all the movie was was a replay of the flood from earlier. Before I realized that the siblings' mother would come in and out bringing us popcorn or whatever, but the instant I realized that I'd lived through the flood that we were watching, their mother came out in the form of a cat. And that's when I was sure of it--this cat is my dreamguide. The cat talked to me and the girl (not my girlfriend), but I don't remember what he said. Eventually I turned to face the girl and her eyes had become like cat eyes...and that's when I woke up.

It was pretty fragmented last night, but I got pretty close to lucidity I think.
    15. Boredom

      by , 08-02-2010 at 07:02 PM
Lucid?: Yup, DILD. Finger through palm RC. I did it while getting a glass of water.
Dream prep: 3 mg Melatonin, I'm attempting to try a lower dose tonight and see what results i get.

To start out, I believe i was dreaming before i became lucid, but thats where my recollection was boosted, after becoming lucid, i was grabbing a glass of water and decided to do a RC, i proceeded and figured out i was dreaming. i started wandering around, i opened and closed doors at my own will. without touching them, in other words i performed mild telekinesis. but then i started to get distracted and started arguing with my parents in my dream. and i showed them the finger through palm RC. they told me to leave. so i did, and before i knew it there were guys standing outside of my house. i was commanding them to go away. but it didnt work.

Side note: I kinda ended up becoming side tracked when it came to exploring. so i believe i slipped non-lucid after a while.
