    1. Fragment - Hallucinogens

      It was late at night. The street lights on the road were dim, not bright like they should have been. My father was driving his car, a black 2009 Infiniti with cherry accents inside the interior, at around forty miles an hour down this two-lane road. I was in the passenger seat.

      After a few moments of silence, I began to talk about hallucinogens.

      "I can enter a state of sleep paralysis using them," I told him. "It's pretty cool. You should try them sometime."

      I've never used hallucinogens before and don't plan to. But this dream fragment still shocked me a little bit!

      Had an episode of SP after I saw something that looked like a snake on the ground.

      I also had a dream about M. Same old stuff...we're all cool, and I think she's my friend...and then I slowly start wanting to straighten things out between us, but I wake up.

    3. Dreaming of SP and failed seduction

      Good morning! I'm trying to fix my sleeping schedule, so I decided to have a REM rebound day today. Only got a few hours of sleep...

      Bedtime: 03.30

      07.45: Fragment
      *I'm eating mackerell, pineapple and round sandwiches.

      07.45: The SP nightmare
      I'm in SP. I know what to expect and that it's all in my head. The hallucinations still hit me full on and it's terrible. Somehow it's worse than it's supposed to be and I get scared. I can feel pain in my chest and it feels as if I'm being crushed, all the while hearing an extremely loud sound. I wake up in the dream. I tell a few people about the experience. "It felt like I was trapped there for hours. Like I was being shot right in the chest, over and over"

      07.45: Seduction, FAIL!
      I enter the taekwondo dojo. Everyone seems to be glad to have me back and I shake a few hands. The master tells us to line up and I get in line at the back with all the white belts. After a few seconds I realise I am no longer a white belt, I've got my green one. I push my way through a few people and end up at the front. There must have been atleast fifty people there and we have to make several rows with people to fit in the relatively small dojo. A female teacher with big breasts stands before the lines of people. She starts giving us instructions on how to warm up correctly. It feels more like Yoga. Stretching and doing super easy dance moves.


      The dream skips. I'm in the dressing room. "Hey Matteh, are you going to take a shower or what?" a guy asks me. "Nah, I'll probably do it at home" I tell him and walk out the room in only my underwear. I check if the shower outside is busy. It is, and I realise it's the girls shower. I walk back inside and check the sauna door that leads to another shower. A girl is taking a shower in there. "Hell no, this is the guys shower" I say to myself and enter the room. I walk in the shower and stand before the girl. She smiles at me and knows she's in the wrong place. "Can't we do it together?" she asks me, rubbing up against my leg. I can feel her pubes prickling my leg. I pretend to be interested for a few seconds. I am just about to kiss her, but I push her out.

      "Get out" I say and close the glass door to the shower. She won't give up without a fight and stands outside, looking cute. I spot a small red light coming from up above. She's videotaping me with a camera. I tell her it's pointless, I won't do anything as I've already got a girlfriend. Even though I can feel something grow in my pants I refuse to give in to the temptation. Suddenly I'm talking to my friend G's sister. She asks me what kind of cellphone I had back in the days. She shows me a photo of a girl and I remember having an Ericsson.


      07.45: Wake up

      Amount of sleep: 3½ hours

      Supplements before bed: Nothing


      That's it! So little sleep, but still recall. I hope I'm getting better and better at it. Would love to dream every day of the week when I start working again. I aim for a lucid tonight. Let's hope my intentions are enough.

    4. Night of 12/12 - Hello again

      It has been a while since I wrote something in my DJ.
      Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to post something and in addition, I had not enough sleep during the last month.

      But this is changing again. Next week, the courses are free thank God (or better: thank the government). So I will have enough sleep to practice again the whole lucid thing.

      Well last night:

      I was really exhausted because I studied all the evening long until 11p.m. I went to bed and I want to relax a bit. I instantly felt how heavy my body was. It remembered me instantly of the very beginning of sleep paralyses.
      Exactly in this moment, I hear strange noises witch remind me of the sound of a fridge. It came to me in waves. I relaxed even more and I had the feeling that I was floating in the air, raising and sinking through my room. It felt very cool and didn't scared me at all, because I knew it was only in my head.
      After 5 minutes or so, I tried to move in thoughts my body. I managed to move my fingers and my hands a bit. I wondered if I was already in some dream or if the sleep paralyses had already gone away.
      I want to open my eyes, but I realize that my eyes are already open. It's bright in my room, but I see things blurry. My vision clears up and I realize that I'm lying in my bed. I know that I'm dreaming. I want to get up to leave my bed and to explore my dreamworld. But for some reason, I wasn't able to move. I thought:
      - Damn! I feel that my real bod. I have to try moving a bit and not to think about my real body.
      I slowly moved my fingers but suddenly, out of no-where ......

      ..... A DC appears in front of me! He's sitting on my chest! That's why I'm not able to move!

      I shouted:
      - Go out!
      HIs answer:
      - No, your chest is comfortable!


      I awake. I'm pissed turn to the left side of my bed and fall back to sleep again.
    5. Night of 11/6 - Unintentional WILD? A weird experience!

      Something weird happened tonight.
      It's 11:00 pm and I go to sleep. I lay at my back, my hands on my stomach and I look at the ceiling. I get sleepy and close my eyes. After 5 minutes or so, I start feeling dizzy. I get a buzzing sensation. I realize that this might be sleep paralysis. I try move my hands. I can feel that I'm able to lift my hands. I stretch my arms out. I still have this buzzing sensation. I think about it and than I realize that it is impossible to stretch my arms out, because the bedsheets were lying on me! I open my eyes. I feel that my arms are still lying on my stomach. The buzzing sensation goes away.
      I think about it a few moments, I'm confused. I turn to one bedside. And again after a few moments I get this buzzing sensation. It drifts away and comes back. It repeats itself a few times. I try to take advantage of this and imagine that I was moving my dream body.
      My eyes are closed, everything is dark
      I start to see a dimmed light. I see that I'm in a cinema. There are a lot of people. A DC suddenly vomits on his neighbour. I feel very dizzy and the dream fades away.
      I do a RC and I realize that I'm awake. I turn to the other side and sleep this time without any buzzing or so, but also with no dreams

      I wake up in the morning, not remembering much, So I decide to lay still and try to give myself sleep paralysis or something.. eventualy everything goes silent I wake up.. but do it again... and again.. and eventually a picture comes into play... I see, Im lying down in my bathtub.. looking to the left of me, The dream is a bit grey, and a tiny bit blurry, But I see the tub is filling with water... RAPIDLY. I tell myself "Screw this, I dont want to have another drowning nightmare." I shake myself rapidly to remove the numbness from my body BTW THIS was the most advanced Sleep paralysis I had... all other times I didnt even have a dream. And after about 3 seconds of struggling I wake up... I try to sleep again but I figure oh well...
    7. Night of 9/28 - Damn it! This was pretty close!

      Hello I had a few very vivid dreams, was really near to get lucid and I remember them surprisingly good. I now go to bed at a different time to get more sleep: I have to wake up at 5:40 am, so I went at 9:30 pm to bed to fall asleep around 10 pm. And today I don't feel so dizzy as yesterday

      1. I'm in my bedroom and I here noise downstairs. So I hurry to go downstairs to look what's going on. So I don't really pay attention how everything looks like. In one second I'm downstairs and I see that my parents bring a lot of boxes into the house. I help them a bit. By the way the boxes are heavy.
      After a minute or two I'm suddenly in a different room (it looks like the attic of the old house I lived when I was a kid). My mum says to me that there is a letter for me from a publisher: it's an answer that I'm waiting for ages. So I get really excited, I already can imagine how the letter looks like. But she says to me that the letter isn't here, but in the neighbour-town She says to me that I have to hurry to get it before noon (no idea why) I open the door and suddenly I'm outsides in my home-town. I don't pay attention how I got there, because I just couldn't stop thinking of the letter!
      I begin to run, for one second I asked me if I'm dreaming, look around me a bit but everything looked like normal. I wanted to look at my watch, but I'm not wearing it. "Great, I forgot it in the hurry", was my thought. So I said to me that everything was normal. Exact in the same time, I saw a friend. He was also running and he was running next to me. I didn't perform a RC, because I did it a second before
      I said:"Oh hello Micheal", how are you doing?"
      - "I'm so ill!", said he and coughed really loud. "but I have to continue to jog, 'cause I have to loose weight"
      - "O really?"
      - "Yeah it's true"
      Awkward silence. I feell that it is really chilly outsides and look down at my feet. I don't wear shoes, nor socks.
      "WTF" was my first thought, but didn't developed my thinking into "OMG I'm dreaming!"; Instaed I said too him:
      - I guess that I too will catch cold! So you don't have to feel so lonely with your cold!
      I looked down to his feet. He was bare food too
      I don't see these oddities... -.- So I kept on running
      Suddenly, I see that I'm really fast, I have the feeling that I even don't touch the ground while running.

      2. I'm in a bus. I don't remember the letter nor anything what happened previously... A few girls are sitting in front of me. They are talking about handbags Their conversation was like this:
      - I bought me a new hand-bag, didn't you notice it?
      - Yeah it's awesome! How much did you pay?
      - Well, last time I just spend 300 Yengins (I don't have a freaking idea what kind of money this is)...
      - But what about this time?
      -... EEh it was one and a half Yengins
      - OMG, that's expensive!
      (Yes 1.5 is more than 300 )

      I awake an hear an alarm clock. I'm not realizing it directly, but than I thought I was late. I looked at my alarmclock: it was 4:45 am. That's not the time I have to wake up. I do a RC (nose plug) I'm not dreaming. WTF, what's going on. I look around me: it's dark. I look again on the clock: 4:45am. The alarm went off.
      It was another alarm clock of my watch, that I set up in August to wake me up to WBTB+WILD, but it never woke me up
      So scribbled down some notes. I noticed that my mind was clear, but my body was really hard to move. So I tried WILD. I kept on thinking mind awake, body asleep. After a few minutes, I was in N1: i saw colours, monochromatic, I felt also the "tetris effect" (I felt the movements of a driving bus, 'cause I spent 3hours in a bus through the day), Suddenly I heared waves of bizarre sound, I've got a buzzing sensation. It wasn't really SP, because I could still move a finger or toe, without loosing the sensation. But after 5 minutes or so it simply stopped and I felt really awake. My attempt didn't worked. I did another RC, it turn out I was still awake. So I just fall to sleep normally.

      3. I'm in a car. My friend drives it. The radio was static, and didn't work. SO I pushed a few buttons to fix the problem, but it doesn't work. Suddenly I hear a loud noise and I awake.

      It's my alarm clock, but now it's time to get up defenitly (after doing RC)

    8. Frighting SP of 9/19

      Experienced SP, mixed together with some hallucinations
      I awoke in the middle of the night. I had first the feeling that I weighted 3000 pounds, my heart beat slowly, but irregular. I heard my own voice saying (or maybe it were just my thoughts???): "This is how it feels like when there is too much gravity..."
      Instantly, I had the feeling that I was flipped up side down, that I was flying. My heart beat very quickly and irregular. I got extremely scared. I heard at the same time: "and that's the feeling you get when there's no gravity at all!"

      I don't remember what happened afterwards.
      That's one of the most terrifying experiences I've ever made while sleeping
    9. Lucidity fails :(

      Over the last week or something the following things happened to me:

      I had weird sleep paralysis twice in one night but then each time I got it I woke up again

      I woke up and felt that I was splashing about and stuff in the water. I thought "holy shit how did I get into a swimming pool!?" :S
      "...oh...I must be dreaming! Shit, hopefully I can still attain lucidity!"
      But then because I had super-realised that I was dreaming, I was trying hard to hold on to my dream but I opened my eyes and I woke up

      So close!

    10. My first encounter with sleep paralysis, unintentionally

      Last night I had a dream (after WBTB) that I had gone into the restroom. Once in there I go to the urinal and behind me I notice two guys just sorta watching me... Whatever. I finish my business and head out of the bathroom and as I round this dividing wall (that separates the bathroom from the hallway to the door) some dude jumps me and starts beating the crap outta me. I wake up and I can't move for a split second and then suddenly I'm throwing myself up and almost off of the bed as the SP loosens.

      I'm in some house or something. Romano is an older man showing me some CD cover with interesting art. I don't recall why he was showing me it.

      sleep paralysis

      I'm walking around on new years eve looking for a bar to go into. I find one and i see in the window some people are dancing. I go in and recognize the one waitress L. After a few minutes the place is empty and I'm talking to the waitress. The bar is now a house or something, and I decide to stay for the night.

      I hit sleep paralysis, and i can feel my whole dream body going numb. I can see swirls of colors on front of me and focus on the center of the swirl. I think of a place i want to go. I think i want to go to J's dream so i focus on the person's name. The swirls stop and I'm looking at a strange room with walls made of blankets depicting clowns. I shift my gaze around and I see that the walls move around a bit and now I'm seeing a hallway at the end of the room. After a while I'm no longer looking at the picture but instead I'm almost inside the room. I can't feel the rest of my dream body.

      FA, I get awoken by my family. They are talking to someone. I see the clock reads 8 and i decide i want to sleep in more but i check the kitchen to see who's there. I enter the room and see my mother talking to them, she's apologizing to my brother's gf for some reason. I look closely at my mother and see she has different eyes than usual.

      FA, I'm in the house again but everything is dark. I find J looking for a light switch it doesn't work. I become lucid. J says "Why is it so dark in here?" I say "I don't know but i think this is a dream" suddenly a pain in my chest wakes me up.

      Flash of being outside on a house ledge. I keep climbing up and jumping down it.

      Asuka gone again


      Realising the previous dreams weren't up on a hill where my house is I go up to my house on the hill to look for asuka. I find her and she says she's leaving and never coming back. I was crying abit and i can't remember much of the conversation.
    12. Riding in a Car, Sleep Paralysis, and Getting Hunted

      Time: 3:00am-12:30pm

      I awoke to my alarm several times, I woke up naturally one time, and got into a full blown SP that was quite the rush.
      SP Description: As I laid there trying to do a WILD, I got this rushing feeling throughout my body, I started hearing stuff, and also I got some HI. I kept entering the void, and coming out. It felt as though my body was in free fall, the same feeling I get from going down on a roller coaster. I found it kind of hard to breathe cause my chest felt very heavy. Then at one point I saw this window with a dream in it, but it faded, then I must of fallen asleep as I entered a fascinating, but scary dream.

      Description: I had a couple of normal dreams, then I got into SP and ended up in a really weird dream, where I was being hunted by this zombie/human. This person was able to speak clearly, and didn't have trouble moving.

      Dream 1: I walk from the New Sub, to my house. There are a bunch of kids in an old charger. I walked up to the car, it had leather seats, a modern dashboard. It had a sunroof, which I opened. The car was orange, inside it was black. There were about six of us in it. I get in on the left side closest to the window, and the driver takes off. He starts speeding through the neighborhood, at the end of the street he has to turn right, so he spins the car a full 360 degrees, I say we are going to die nonchalantly. He continues, we see a cop car at the stop sign, and he passes and speeds past the cop car. The cop never gives chase, but we end up around the block and we all get out of the car. We walk back to my house, and this girl comes up and grabs my hand, she is about my height, black hair. A nice body, but she is kind of emo, but I don't care. She takes me to a hair salon place made for the emo haircuts, she sits me down in a chair, and a hairdress that has crazy black hair starts to mess with my head, making a couple of shave spots, tries to dye my hair black. I insist she stop, but she won't. She keeps telling me to trust her. Now my hair is completely ruined, or so I think. I then see my future self. We are in a scene, were I am going out with her, and we spot a person she used to like. But that guy has a girlfriend. That dream ends.

      Dream 2: Now I am in my basement with my brother Jarred, we are sitting playing video games. He asks me a pot related question, but I don't answer. He then asks me if I have a pipe, I say no I don't, nor a bong. He then gives me a pipe, and some pot to go with it. He hides it in this white plastic case. He then tells me never to smoke alone, but to smoke with others. Also not to get caught with it. He leaves. Now the scene is I am outside, nighttime, I am with my brother Josh. We are walking down towards the New Sub, and I ask him if he wants to smoke out. He says sure, so I rush back to the house into the backyard to find my dad awake. He is looking for something, I am not sure what, but I say something along the lines of it having grass that catches fire, and makes an explosion. He says yes. I go inside and the case that has my stuff in it, is in the kitchen. My mom is talking and the kitchen has a lot of stuff in it it. So I say I will look in my case for whatever they are searching for. But I keep getting interrupted by my parents. I finally grab the stuff, and then I walk outside, I look at the pipe and its very small, it has a dog design on it. I can't find a lighter, but I wake up.

      Dream SP: Okay it is night time, and I am in this giant field. I can see a broken down cabin in front of me. But I am on a fence at the top. So I jump over and cross over a dirt road, I then begin to climb the second tall fence, but I hear a voice behind me. It said "I am going to find you." It is a man, about average height when I look at him. So I struggle to get over the fence I am on now, but do so, just as he starts looking for me. The fence changes a wooden pick fence. I can see my shadow through the cracks, but the guy doesn't notice, I was just about to get down, but there is a giant dog laying there sleeping. So I swing my way down the fences, and he steps through the gate of the fence, I jump back over the fence I was on as the guy walks towards the wooden cabin. I wake up, but it was incredibly vivid. To bad I didn't WILD into it. I had the SP and everything, but it wasn't enough.
    13. Sleep paralysis.

      After waking up this morning, it was too early to get up to go to uni and I was feeling groggy so I went back to sleep. I fell into sleep paralysis (although my brain wasn't fully awake, it was pretty much still half-asleep) and I tried to lucid dream. Luckily it seemed to be a pretty deep sleep paralysis (previous times I would just wake up once I noticed myself breathing) and so I held onto it mentally to delve into lucidity.
      I closed my eyes and imagined going through this weird place, and went through some weird tunnel thing at a factory. Just like how you close your eyes and imagine that you are somewhere. I was doing this for a while and thought that I was still just imagining it, as opposed to dreaming it.
      I have a feeling that I was actually dreaming though, but I really can't be too sure. Silly me didn't do a reality check :/

      Since I didn't really start sleeping until 4 in the morning, this is what I'm doing. Okay.

      Weird. I had... at least five dreams about dreaming. Do they count as false awakenings? I'm not sure, because I didn't really do things that were morning routine-y. Some of them were... no, most of them were about celebrities. It feels like I didn't have to remember a lot, but I know that there was some name that I messed up in one of them that supposedly triggered my 'lucidity'. It was like, Crom Truise or something. It started with a... G, I think. It wasn't very messed up, just the first and last letters were flip-flopped like that. God, I feel like it just happened and I can't remember it. Weird.

      I woke up a few times and tried thinking about dreaming when I went back to sleep, only to have really the same impact. It was almost like they were continuations. I think I -thought- I was lucid, but I wasn't. The last dream that I remember having, I was somehow dating this guy who I really liked. I believe he was Sohn Dongwoon from a Korean boy band that I like. It was like I was back at Japanese camp (Which I went to this past summer.)

      Before that I had a dream about Nishikido Ryo, another member of a boy band I like. My parents were also in that dream.

      I do believe that I experienced sleep paralysis for the first time while conscious, but it was actually kind of uncomfortable, so in the end I switched positions and lost that feeling. I will try again tonight.

      I'm also starting a hand written dream journal, but I've got to go now. Ciao.
    15. First entry: Dogs, Darkness, and Sleep Paralysis... :(

      not much to report since my Dream Recall still sucks...

      Well, I was stuck at home all day today, so I did some petty work around the house which had made me tired by the evening. By 4 pm I was on my bed, and decided to take a short nap..

      I had downloaded this application for my mobile phone, LucidWeaver, and I decided this was a good time to try it out.. I set the alarm to ring after 90 mins and went to sleep..

      I remember having this non-lucid dream, still can't recollect much of it, though I remember it involved dogs.. yeah I know, I REALLY gotta work on my Dream Recall Skills

      So I was with the dogs (for some reason there were three of them), when the alarm went off and and instantly woke me up.. I thought "Oh shit!.." and thought I had blown it. the dream had ended, dogs were no more..
      But then I realised my eyes were still closed and I could feel a little numbness in my legs, so I decided to remain still..
      I remained that way for a few minutes and slowly began to feel the sleep paralysis set in. The numbness spread from my legs upwards, freezing my mouth and the truckload of saliva I'd accumulated in it by this time ()

      anyway, I was feeling these cool tingly sensations all over and thought I began to see something strangely cool when...,
      THE FUCKIN ALARM WENT OFF AGAIN!!
      ..for no reason I can remember..!!

      The sensations stopped, and before I knew it, I was back to square one..

      I tried achieving SP once again but after three minutes the alarm sounded again, knocking me off-guard!

      So I decided to call it quits for the evening and try again tonight..

      The issue with the alarm application, it turns out, is that I had tinkered around abit with the settings earlier and accidentally set two extra alarms, which were meant for 'lucidity training'.. I'm usually a deep sleeper, but somehow I woke up at the first alarm itself that had ruined the plan.. gonna try again tonight with the older settings.

      I'm still new to lucid dreaming, this is only my second day of actually trying, and I know SP isn't that great an achievement, but still, it felt uber-cool.. can't wait for the night to set in, I think I'll have difficulty falling asleep (my body feels totally rested from the nap), but anyway.. eyes on the prize baby!
