This was a pretty good night. Despite waking up in the early morning and having trouble falling asleep after the WBTB, I eventually did and had some dreams. I'm a bit confused about the two first dreams as they happen in the same place and I don't recall the order of events, but I know I became lucid after one of those fragments. I also suspect that I dreamed about my grandmother's apartment because I visualized myself getting lucid in there during my WBTB (I had two, one in which I didn't become lucid, perphaps because the wbtb was too short and another one in the early morning which is when I had these dreams).
In this fragment, I was in my grandmother's appartment and some guests arrived. I think they were supposed to be my brother's friends, tough I've never seen them before. After that there was a birthday party (I think my brother's) and it was pretty grand. They showed a video on a huge TV of a bunch of people that were there on the party with slow, emotional music. Then it started showing people that were outside the appartment. The first one was a couple (one of my friends and some girl I don't know) having a romantic time on the roof at night, smiling at the camera. At this time I was kinda confused, asking myself if my grandparents set up cameras everywhere on the building. It showed even people that were outside the building, on the streets! At this time I started thinking it was a bit creepy and perhaps illegal and was hoping they hadn't filmed me when I was in the bedroom wearing only shorts (before I got ready for the party). Something else might have happened, but I can't remember much aside from small fuzzy details about this fragment.
I am unsure if this is the same dream, it might have happened after or before the above one. I was again in my grandma's apartment, but this time theere weren't any guests, just the usual people. I was in the living room, I remember my uncle being there doing something and maybe my grandma. I made my way to the kitchen, which is connected to the living room and when I got there I saw a mouse and began to freak out, thinking if I should kill it or call someone. I decided to run back and tell my uncle about it, but the mouse ran past me into the living room. It then ran outside the appartment (there's a door that goes out of the living room into a tiny space usually used for storing stuff, there is a grate there that leads outside the appartment and into a hall which is usually closed). My uncle followed it and tried to stomp it. While he was trying to kill it, I closed the door to make sure it didn't get back in.
Not sure exactly what happened here, I think I went into another room and when I came back into the living room my uncle was holding a cat and then put it down. I guessed he was going to try to use the cat to hunt the mouse, and eventually the mouse appeared and the cat caught it and killed it. Instead of blood, some transparent liquid with a very slight red color to it dripped from it and started forming a pool. The cat walked on the liquid and started spreading it everywhere, making a mess (meanwhile I was kinda freaking out because I found the scene disgusting). For some reason... the cat's pawns started catching on fire and I started freaking out even more. I figured this liquid could heat up things and start fires. Small fires appeared in other places where the liquid touched, but they didn't last long. I remember there was a child crying (no idea who that child was) because she got some of that liquid in her face. While trying to help her, she got some on me and my skin started to burn. I told her to go to the bathroom wash her face. Again, the details are a bit fuzzy but this is the last I remember of this dream.
Mirror Teleportation (Lucid)
Eventually after the events of one of those dreams (at least I think this lucid is connected to one of them), I found myself wandering to my grandfather's bedroom and thinking about something that confused me. I don't remember exactly what it was, just that it was kinda bothering me. After thinking for a bit and mumbling to myself, I remember thinking "... the only explanation to that would be... oh, of course.". As I realized I was dreaming, I smiled while I tought about how my RCs during the day and MILD during the WBTBs helped me carry my awareness into the dream. I felt pretty smart at that time too for realizing I was dreaming.
I tought about what to do, saw a big mirror and tought "Ah, why not?". By the way, I have always struggled with entering mirrors in dreams. I have tried a few times and failed. However, this time I was feeling pretty confident for some reason and just did it. At first, there was resistance, but I kinda felt it giving away and eventually went through it. The best way I can describe the feeling is like this: try to imagine yourself pushing your finger into some plastic wrap. Eventually your finger will tear it apart, but in this case I went through the mirror without tearing it, as if I was entering some liquid with a high density. When I got through, I found myself in a mirrored version of the same room, except with some furniture missing. I quickly realised I went through the mirror without a destination in mind, so I tried coming up with something. The first thing I tought about, for some reason, was meeting a cartoon character called Star. With that in mind, I went through the same mirror I came in through and ended in some kind of office.
I was walking around, looking for Star and asking people about her. Apparently she had a pretty important position in the office, like a boss or something (which is pretty off-character for her) and people were trying to get a hold of her. Eventually I met her, altough I don't remember anything that we talked about. I remember some witch chasing us through a hall (which looked like the school I went to) and I was trying to find her wand, by sticking my hand inside bags (not opening them up, just straight-up phasing my hand inside then, apparently that's a good way to conjure stuff up) but none of the wands that I found were right. We managed to escape eventually and I remembered another goal that I had, which was to visit a place I created in waking life and I told Star I had to go because I had some stuff to do. I woke up when I entered a mirror.
I tried my best not to move and to calm down as I woke up (I don't think this was an FA, but it might have been). I felt some weird sensations similar to numbness and eventually found myself in my dream again, this time in a huge shopping mall. The first thing that came to me was... looking for porn. I wasn't particularly horny, I think I was just curious to see what I would find. I began looking around for the porn section (kinda like some rental stores have adult sections) and started asking some employees. The first one was a woman who grabbed my hand and yelled "Teleport!", teleporting me to someone else (I don't know how to describe the feeling of being teleported... but the way she teleported was kinda like the "instant transmission" from Dragon Ball) who could help me find it. The other employee grabbed me by my hand and started leading me around, altough to be honest he didn't seem so sure about where it was. I yelled "Teleport!" and he teleported just like that woman. After walking around for a bit I realized that I was wasting time looking at porn while I could be going to the place I created. I entered a small shop which had some mirrors and entered one of them. The place I wanted to go was a big, sorta japanese-oriented house that almost looked like a big japanese shrine, which a big frontyard, so as I entered the mirror I tought about the frontyard's grass.
As I went through the mirror I found myself at a huge, grassy frontyard and became excited, until I realized I was in front of some manor/mansion at night (in retrospect, it looked a lot like the white house, maybe a bit bigger). I turned back and saw two people on a table (I think they Barney and Ted from "How I Met Your Mother") talking about something. I ignored them and welp up some stairs leading to a big glass door which ressembles the one at the entrance of the building where my grandparents live. I went into the glass door as I did with the mirrors (I guess anything with a reflection will do) and ended up in another backyard, altough this one looked unkept and was behind an old wooden house I could see in the distance. I tought "Alright, I'll try one more time..." and went back into the mirror, maybe going to one more place which I can't remember and eventually the dream faded away. I tried getting back into the dream but I felt that I was too awake to go back.
This was a pretty cool night and I feel like I'm getting more and more lucid dreams! The MILD method has really been helping a lot when I do it right, altough I think I should start doing longer WBTB's because these days, whenever I go back to bad during a WBTB, I'm still really sleepy, like at the point where I can barely keep my eyes open. However, I have no idea how to keep myself occupied during the WBTB and fear that I won't be able to sleep if I stay up too long (which in turn will result in me laying in bed, tossing around until morning trying to sleep, which I REALLY don't want). Guess I'll start measuring how much time I stay up and trying to increment it a little by little. I also learned how to use mirrors and another way to summon objects, which is pretty cool.

Monday morning's dream was a pretty teeny tiny fragment, involving a super smart yet annoying guy barging his way into my house and demanding me to solve his riddles.
This morning, however, was a bit more fruitful! Especially due to the re-appearance of a dream sign of mine.
But first, middle-of-the-night-wake-up-fragments.
I was on a huge ship in the middle of an ocean being ravaged by a raging storm. Alongside the storm was, of course, a sea monster, and the whole crew (me included) had to square off against it in an RPG-styled battle. And thennnn!
I was homeless, and wandering the cold, dark streets of a city I didn't really recognize. I was trying to find shelter in whatever place I could, till eventually I met this family who decided to take me in for the night.
Now for the non-lucid.
I was in the house I used to live in, and sitting on the couch nearby was my ex and her boyfriend. All three of us were getting ready to watch a movie, but I was feeling pretty glum and sour about the situation, so I moped my way over to the kitchen area and pet my ex's dog for a little while. Eventually, I decided I'd just leave, and this was no small undertaking as I knew it'd be a long 6 hour drive back home. I relayed my plans to the two of them, and my ex pleaded that I stay and enjoy the movie. I, however, was resolute. I headed out. The in-between here is a blur but I do remember driving my way home on dark roads.
Too bad I didn't do an RC. I've been training myself IRL to reality check whenever my ex sends me any messages, or if I catch a stray thought about her. However, she hasn't appeared in my dreams much lately; this was the first time in a little while now.
Haven't posted any entries in 4 days, but rest assured, I'm ALIVE. Rather than not posting due to no recall, however, I didn't post the entries for the 1st and 2nd of September simply because they were extremely mundane dreams.
Literally all they consisted of was me hanging out with my family and going about day to day business. Nothing really to write in depth about.
The dream I had for the morning of the 3rd (or, yesterday, as of this time of writing) was an interesting one involving the concept of inception.
My cousin was going to get married to this jerk of a guy, and I wasn't okay with it, so I decided to pull a Leonardo DiCaprio and delve into her dreams to perform inception. A dream about dreams, as it were. Deep.
And then, this morning's. All of these dreams don't have a whole lot of detail recalled, but rather, specific plot points. One thing that has been improving though is my ability to recollect these things even after falling back asleep, as usually that's enough to simply wipe my memory of it if I didn't write it down.
I was hanging out with this girl I used to know really well IRL (we haven't hung out in literal ages), and we were sitting on this outdoor park bench. Yet, half of the area was covered in what appeared to be a house. So it was like half outdoors, half house. I can't even find a good way to describe that, it was a sort of reality warp-ish type of dream scene, the kind your dream self can understand just fine, but in real life you're like 'wtf'
Anyways, strange dream scene aside, we were sitting on this bench, a nice breeze blowing through, and just sort of happily people-watching. All of a sudden, she turns to me and nervously asks if I'd like to accompany her to her school's Snowball dance. Shocked, but pleasantly surprised, I happily accept. Almost immediately, in comes a lot of people I know and associate with this girl. They just begin walking by, mumbling their thoughts about that turn of events. Sorry if this one sounded bizarrely described, but that's cuz it really was sort of bizarre. It had a nice peaceful atmosphere, but a lot of weird stuff that you'd usually only notice upon waking (or maybe not, in the event of a successful DILD, which has yet to come. But that's okay!)
Anyways, sorry for the radio silence, and happy dreaming.
Didn't sleep too well last night. As it would turn out, I had a pretty good 2 hour nap late into the evening, so come bed time later that night, I really wasn't all that tired. Therefore, the night was spent sort of sleeping but frequently waking up, much to my dismay. Luckily enough, I was able to recall multiple dreams, but on the downside, they're all basically fragments. Here they are anyways:
I was eating at Olive Garden, when all around me the customers and waiters and waitresses all started going crazy, dancing around like lunatics, throwing things at each other. I huddled up further into my booth and continued to enjoy my breadsticks. Clearly my dream self has important priorities!
I was in this huge house with a lot of my family as well as complete and total strangers. The front side of the house was open to the outside street, where multiple houses alongside it were selling goods. Not much of note here.
I was in a small room that looked like something out of Homestuck, and on the wall, projected, was a cool looking animation of David Strider and Jade Harley. This fragment may have been a part of the same house dream just before it. Funny I had Homestuck appear here, as I've not been into it in a couple of years now.
I was on an alien world, and everything was blowing up. ......
My ex and I entered into a contract of sorts, and we were living together and going about our day-to-day pretty happily. Still learning to get into the habit of reality checking when she's involved, as she's basically the biggest dream sign I have.
Since starting back in my lucid dreaming practices a couple of weeks back, I've recalled quite a few dreams, almost one every night, barring a few days, but I've yet to put any of those in here. With that being said, here's this morning's, in which I recalled two pretty sparse fragments and one non lucid dream.
My dad was insistently questioning me about shower curtains. Literally all I've got on this one. What could it mean? Are the shower curtains symbolic of the walls we put up around ourselves? 6deep8me.
I was in a very ritzy looking cafe, enjoying a cup of coffee and browsing my phone, looking at various pictures of a girl I thought was cute. Again, just a fragment. Unlike the strange nature of that first fragment, however, this dream had a nice, fluffy, happy feeling to it. Now, for the actual full non-lucid:
I was in some sort of ruins, and could see a sort of heads up display that looked like No Man's Sky's HUD. Lately, it seems like NMS has worked its way into my dreams in subtle ways. I was exploring these ruins on some sort of vague quest, gathering up materials and items. Eventually I found my way into a big building, which looked like something straight out of the game The Witness. It even had a similar puzzle inside of it that I was required to solve. Floating above the ground was a chrome-colored monolith with a red tree insignia on it. Touching the monolith made it dive into the ground, and several huge, red trees sprouted up around me. A river of orange-ish colored water began flowing between the crevices in the floor. How would I solve this puzzle? Unfortunately you get the cliffhanger that never ends on this one, as that's all I can remember.
I recall a fragment in which I was drinking a cheap beer. It was somewhat horrible, it tasted like it was pure toxic chemicals instead of usual beer.
I recall only a short fragment. I was heading to my toilet - there was an utter mess, trash lying around, bare walls with all the plumbing and wiring visible. I was going there with a plunger.
Dream - Lucid
I don't quite remember the setting, but it seemed dark, like night was falling or had just fallen. I was pregnant and about to have my new baby. There were people with me, but I don't think it was anyone that I know.
I then had the baby. I was holding my new baby, which actually was my daughter now being "reborn"; she wasn't a newborn, but she wasn't quite as big and strong as she is now IWL. She had more teeth than she does now though, even a few in the back of her mouth. She was clothed in only a diaper, and I wanted to breastfeed her. I put her to my right breast, which was exposed, and she began drinking, though she only took a few sips before she didn't want anymore; she wanted a faster return and my boobs weren't cutting it. I was disappointed.
I then was no longer holding her, and my shirt, a night shirt I wear often IWL, was half-soaked in breast milk from the breast she didn't nurse from. Shoulda thought about that; I know better.
IWL I do want to breastfeed our next child longer; circumstances were chaotic when my daughter was born, so I only got to breastfeed for 6 weeks...wasn't even really breastfeeding, but pumping as she didn't want the breast; like in the dream, she didn't get a fast enough return.
Can't wait to get my recall back up. This is a dream I had this morning so it was easy to remember. I dream so vividly every night, all night, but my recall has slipped due to life circumstances. I'll work my way back up!
I got really sunburned yesterday & did a lot of yard work for my elderly mother-n-law, so my body is very unhappy w/ me. I had a dream that I was in an auditorium, one I've never seen before. The dream was too erratic to explain. The scenes were constantly jumping around. Maybe it was due to the pain I'm having. I did notice that the people in my dream were mostly from my childhood which makes some sense. Lately I've found a couple of my childhood friends & talked to some others that I've stayed in touch with... Tomorrow should be a better day since I don't have any obligations & my husband will go back to work per usual after the weekend. Also my sunburn should be a little better & my pain level should be better. Today I am working on a dreamscape that I would like to have. I'm going to meditate about it & try to get a good visual.
So this is recall of last nights dream, fragments of it at least.
One fragment includes me walking down my road in pjs that were not my own, they were pale blue and flannel type. I was kind of sliding about rather than walking really. At the corner of my road was a poorly built shelter and it was raining. In the shelter was a stand with my parcel on it (last week I had ordered some things from Amazon) it was the last one to arrive but it had already been partially opened and looked as if it had been wrapped back up in brown paper and tie cords.
Another fragment or 'event' happened in what looked like a decent sized motel room. Everything had a sort of old western aesthetic to it, the floor was carpeted and worn down. The bed that folded out from the wall was a queen size and had brown bedding. Opposite the bed there was an old radiator which looked to not be in use and was being used instead as a jewellery stand (because that makes perfect sense). Behind that was a wall vent, with the fancy designed metal so it didn't look boring in the wall (at least I assume that's why people did that). In the dream I actively took pieces of jewellery from it to inspect and recognised some as my own, it was all themed with the old western aesthetic again, leather cord, animal teeth, wooden beads of primary colours and aboriginal design kinda thing.
Then I went to inspect the wall vent and it turned out to be storing stuff. I found my BuckyBalls (tiny magnetic ball bearings that you can make cool geometric shapes out of) with some of them in a smaller container beside. I remember scolding myself in the dream about "that's where the others have gone!"
One very short fragment I recall is when I found out I was in the blue pjs, I was sliding down something and that's it...
I only remember fragments of this dream. I went outside with some friends.
I dreamt that I was with my brother and my cousin and we were on one of the 'Fire Emblem'-Stages from SSB4. I still have this image in my head of seeing me in third-person-view when I noticed that I WAS DREAMING (1st LD)!!!! BUT then I wanted to rub my hands to know how it feels and the moment my hands touched I was kicked out and woke up. I WAS SO UPSET! IT WOULD HAVE BEEN AN AMAZING DREAM!
Bed around 11:30 pm. Went to yoga, was exhausted and my body was/still is aching. I notice on the days that I am super tired, I don't recall my dreams very well at all. And...many activities deter dream recall, I am noticing....
I was working on something with a group of people. It was harmonious, no turbulence. And it was actually a first person dream. That's all I can recall.
In my dream I didn't see anything, rather it was all feeling and hearing. I was laying down somewhere, probably in a bed. My arms were around a man, I could feel his hands around my waist and back. We were enjoyably pressed together. He said something and I nibbled either his jaw or part of his shoulder or even his neck. He held me tighter and said something along the lines of,"You're getting smarter doing things like this to me." I'm not really sure about the dialogue though, honestly I wasn't focused on it at all.
1: I was going around the suburb where my school is checking out real estate (fragment).
2: I was playing hearthstone and instead of picking your class for arena I could pick different heroes who had already had certain number of wins. The first time I did it I picked one which would get 25-75 wins, so I ended up with 53 or so and Gold ridiculous amount of gold. I showed this to my friend at school and he couldn't believe it, as he kept on only getting ones with 2-3 wins. This was a rather odd dream, particularly as when I was actually playing the game I got transported to a New York style city.
3: I remember fragments about someone vomiting and a few people being in an all terrain vehicle.
I'm sure I remembered more but I have forgotten a decent chunk, lazy wakings hehe.
*Tried to WILD+WBTB again last night, with no success at all. I've reached the conclusion that I cannot attempt to lucid dream until the weather gets cooler. Even with the air conditioner on, it's still painfully hot and uncomfortable upstairs, keeping me from being able to relax properly. I'll have to wait until it gets cooler, or until I get a new fan, because my old one broke. For now, I'm going to focus on improving my dream recall by writing all my dreams down here.*
I did have 2 small dreams last night. The first one was this:
I think it involved being near my school, but the only thing I really remember was boarding a really cramped school bus, and sitting next to someone whom I've probably never seen before. I don't remember their face, it was odd...
The second one was:
The next one involved me being far away from a hill that had a wooden gate that was open. I was at the bottom of the hill with a sniper rifle picking off "bad guys" that really looked like they belonged in Far Cry 3. I've been playing a lot of that game lately, so I guess this was bound to happen eventually. My parents were near them for some reason, and I was defending them I suppose.
I don't remember much else, so I guess that's it. It sucks that I need to wait for the weather to get better in order for me to try to LD, but it shouldn't take too long since it's already September.
