    False Awakening

    1. May 3rd 2015 One of My Longest LD's: Sex and Exploration

      by , 05-05-2015 at 12:09 AM
I am zooming along at a good pace and there is a fork in a covered retail and food area like an outdoor mall with mostly covered sections. I veer to the fork at the left and something about the decision or the way I made the action cues me in…wait a minute, I am dreaming right now! I go around the shops looking for something interesting to check out. I see a few DC's here and there, including a couple in some kind of dessert shop.

I fade into a false awakening of being in a laying position in bed but I feel like I am still in a dream and in my dream body with no visuals at first. I start to see a view of a wall next to the bed mostly obstructed by a sleep mask. I am doubtful that this is my actual sleep mask and is in fact a dream sleep mask and I am in our old bedroom at M Blvd so obviously this is a false awakening.

I go for the TOTM to do an in dream WILD. I pull down the sleep mask and search in the darkness of my closed eyes. It still feels like I am laying in bed but I can see the room again and it seems like the same room. I decide to float up out of bed just in case I start moving my waking body. After a few seconds of nothing I start to float up in the laying position

and I immediately jump down onto the bed up and down joyful that I held onto the dream realm. My wife is in the bed
      Spoiler for sexual content:
I move on out of the bedroom door. There are two females in the living room area, one particularly petite and the other average sized. I thought about some things that I had read from some who want to put some moral taboo on dream sexuality and I decided that such thoughts were BS. I reminded myself of that decision and held each of their hands and led them into the bedroom on the other side of the living room.

      Spoiler for sexual content:
After a while the visuals started to fade but I just danced my way through the void until the visuals came back up and I found myself in a very different house.

I decided it was time to go outside and headed toward what felt like the front of the house. I came to a door and reached for the handle but all I could see was a dead-bolt lock with the key side facing me and no key in hand. Instead of summoning a key I decided that the door would be unlocked and would open with a simple push and it did. I look out to a huge field with many large trees and brush hiding what may lay below.

I fly up and out over the landscape at a leisurely pace a little ways and start to get some declining visuals and decide to fly back towards the house that I came out of. As I approached it, it was a large stately house with several large balconies on the left side of the house.

It looked like either the sun had just set or that it was just before sunrise, a little darker than when the sun is fully out, but with that special lighting at those times. I see several windows with lights on and think about peeking into them to see what I might come across but instead go to a door on the left side of what looks like the back of the house.

As I enter there are a few DC's in the large room and they are introducing me to two blonde women that are coming down large and wide wooden staircase.

This is obviously a mansion house of a wealthy family that has many craftsman features, the kind of features that you don't often see any more except in restored homes. The home didn't feel old at all however. I wasn't looking for any more DC interaction and decided to explore the house instead.

I went up the stairs sort of float walking my way up and turned back towards the back of the house and into a great study.

I was planning on looking out the window to the field I flew over earlier to see what it looked like but got interested in the various intriguing items on display. One was a little statuette that looked like it was made of stone with faded paint. It was fairly simple, not intricate, figure with what looked like a crown on their head, not unlike a chess piece that was made to resemble a person. I decided I would try to morph it and it shortened and curved into the shape of a figurine of a small girl leaning over something…interesting. I see a figurine of a polar bear and without really thinking it morphs briefly into a deer with large antlers before becoming a brown bear.

I look around to my left and there are what look like a lot of nicer antique souvenirs. One is a wooden stick looking item stained darker and with some decoupage design on it that looked like something you might find in a nice tiki bar. The dream started fading again but this time I eventually could feel that I was truly back in bed. I tried for a while to see if I could drift back to sleep without moving but eventually had to a adjust my position and was too awake. #319

Took 8mg G + 500mg C around 620am after going to bed late at 2am (started G experiments one time per week after LD#300). I estimate that I woke from the above series around 8:40 first trying to get back to sleep and tossing and turning a little before eventually looking at the time on my phone showing 8:58am. Continuing "this could really be a dream right now" daytime practice with RRCIS but slacking a little too much.
    2. Gentle Transition

      by , 05-02-2015 at 04:28 AM
I'm really only posting this because I found it interesting.

I don't recall ever having a more gentle transition from waking to dreaming than what I experienced during my nap yesterday. I was drifting between fragments, constantly shifting, but not restless. I turned over and closed my eyes. In closing my eyes, a new scene became visible on the back of my eyelids. I knew at once I was staring at a wall, and that I was laying on a floor. My hold seemed tenuous like I was at risk of losing lucidity, but the dream was odd that way too. I had many lapses in which I found myself back in bed, and when I closed my eyes the dream reappeared in the same gentle way, but my dream self was confused and worried that I was 'blacking out again' and that if I was blacking out I wouldn't be able to hunt packs of fury when they raged through town. We called zombies Fury. O.o

I don't remember much, I remember quite a few lapses. I know the room I woke in had three fireplaces and there were many small indicators that would have allowed me to become lucid, but I never pursued them. Like, thinking that this house had two kitchens just like my grandparent's house when I was a kid. I realized that wasn't true and experienced a panicked moment of vertigo and a fading to the clarity of the dream, which my dream self took as the edge of a blackout, so I backed off. Or thinking that the man in the room with three fireplaces was my grandfather, and then wondering how he could be my grandfather since both of mine are dead.
And the fact that there were bears hanging out on the deck.

Anyway, many times when I began to lose focus and 'black out' someone would offer me their hand and it would ground me in the dream. I also remember a disturbing conversation with a childhood friend, who I shared the house with in which she points out that I've been suicidal for a while, and she noticed because when I would go out to hunt Fury, if I stepped into the pack I would look left, then look right, and then look right again. She explained that I did this so that if an attack came from the left, I would not be forced to defend myself and I could die.
"Would that be so terrible though? Maybe I shouldn't come back." I reply.

Sometimes, when I am in a dark mental space, my subconscious will save me from it by giving me a soothing dream. I have talked about them before. They instill in me a sense of well being, and even if they don't make me feel good, I no longer feel as bad as I did before I slept.
This one was lovely but very short.
I found myself running along a familiar road, like I was coming off the highway. It was crowded with trees. At the start of the bend, there is a guard rail and a sign marking the merging of the lanes from two on the left side, to one. So it will be a regular two-lane road. I'm confused when I see a car coming at me in the lane that should be going the other way. I jump off the road into the brush and it is only three quick hops before I take to the sky. I rarely have big lucid epiphanies they are subtle realizations. I will notice something is off, or I will look at the sky and think that I want to be there, and then I am.
Anyway. I take to the sky, which is a sweet, green-tinged blue. Many feet of the ground I find rain that is waiting to fall. There are hundreds of individual droplets. I rise, softly turning through the suspended rain. I can feel a cool breeze on my skin, easing the stitch from my brow, and the kiss of rain on my face and arms. I take a deep, slow breath. It's so beautiful here.

I would like to know why I have so many false awakenings. I've grown used to it but it seems...unusual.

by , 05-01-2015 at 06:29 AM (Inner World حلم Gamma Waves)
I found myself in third person point of view, witnessing a woman quickly cut oranges while preparing a meal in the oven. After a minute of seeing her do this, I zoom in to 1st person point of view and realize that she could be aware of my presence now. I hid under one of the kitchen counter because I didn't want her to know that a stranger had been here. I pop my head up and notice she was still cooking.

This was a good time to bail, I look around and found her front door a couple of feet away from me. I silently but quickly rush to the door in till I hear her foot steps hit the carpet. I glance at her to see she had just step in to the living room with a plate of food in one of her hands. I must've rush through the door as I went outside realizing that I had forgotten to lock her door. Now that I am outside I took the time to observe my surroundings. The clouds were greatly clouded and dark, appearing to be a thunder storm.

I decided the first thing I should do is look for my family. I ran pass a couple of out of place houses. It was odd, all of these houses seem to be place randomly in the grassy field. There no streets or lights just houses spread apart in the middle of no where. I finally came across a house that look similar to my parents but not identical. It look different enough to turn me away from the idea of entering.

After wandering around the grass more it came to me that I was lost. I decided I should knock on the door and ask anyone if they could help me find some directions. At first this seem like a good idea but I change my mind once I realize I didn't really knew the people around here. There's no telling what may happen and decided my best bet was to go back to the previous woman that had been cooking house to explain my situation.

I continue running pass the houses in a attempt to retrace my steps back to her house. I noted to myself that these houses sure seem old on the outside. Not appearing 21st century at all. After several more attempts at finding her house again, I end up back in back in the large open field. I could feel myself becoming desperate in till I saw a man run pass me in a hurry. That's when I heard a lot of screams below the grassy field. This made me realize that I was on a large hill.

I drop to the ground and began wondering what must be going on down there and why did I hear this just now. I then became lucid once I made the connection with the timing of my emotions. I got up from the ground and pursue the man that went down the hill. I found a bunch of the town folks on the bottom of a rocky shore yelling angry at a man who was holding a woman hostage by the neck at the top of a cliff.

I was then spotted by the mob to where soon one of them order me to be captured. I tried to make my way to the man holding the hostage, but running on pointy rocks was no easy task. It took me awhile in till I could reach him. One of the angry people from the mob grab my arm and not too long I broke free from his grip. I then reach the man and quickly push him down the cliff in till he made contact with the rocks below. I continue to then push the woman all the way down in till she to landed all the down to the rocks.

The mob now close enough to launch a direct attack on me proceeded to do so. One of the members in the angry mob said I was going to get screwed now. I didn't waste any time taking most of them out. I soon reach all the way to the bottom of the hill and they seem to be having trouble keeping up with me. Just as it look like I would have no problems escaping. There was one child standing in my way. He had white hair and was completely in white clothing.

He appear to be dressed like me, the type clothes we wore was very different from the people living here. In his hands was a rather large dice with the one number being mark in red instead of black like the rest label in the dice. Was that his weapon of choice I wonder? Regardless I was not going to let a child stop me right now. I rush at him and threw a couple of punches toward his direction, he made no attempts to dodge and took all the blows.

After that he made several attempts to hit me with his large dice. I dodge and dodge in till the next dodge I slip up and got hit by it on my head. The impact was much more than I imagine it would be. I was knock to the ground and could feel myself sliding in to unconsciousness. The last thing I could hear was the mob cheering loudly. I soon found myself inside father room, the lights were off. I then become lucid and stated I'm not ready to leave just yet.

I open my father door to see the living room lights were also off. I began thinking back about the recent events that just happen. I told myself that yea I should have no problems waking up and remembering all of it. That's when I notice the front door to the house open by itself. I step outside to confirm that it was night and that the sensations I was feeling outside were incorrect. It did not feel cold at all slightly warm. I continue walking up the road passing a few cars park around in till I actually woke up. Lucidity Time: 6 minutes
    4. Jogging TOTM - Crayon Skies and Numbness

      AWAKE/NOTES DREAM SEMI-LUCID LUCID

I did the jogging TOTM, but it's the end of the month already so I don't know if it will even count It was fun though.

I am outside. I see some toilets and they are pretty strange - I think that they are supposed to be used in public. My family was there. There were some tables nearby.

I am sitting on an iceberg. I can't remember how I got there but I am pretty sure that it was somehow connected to the previous dreams. I saw this hovering... thing. It was round and I think that it was supposed to display items in shops. It felt like it was normal. I got on it (I was semi-lucid at this point) and started floating somewhere, but it was a bit slower than Id like. I decided to go into the shops to get a faster one so I could fly around. While I was in the shops I gradually became fully lucid and tried control the dream more. I remembered the TOTM where I needed to jog as far as I can, so I ran out of the shops. The sky looked like a childs painting - there were many rainbows and smiley faces, and it looked as if it was drawn in crayon. The dream wasn't really clear so I stabilised it, but then I "realised" that one of my eyes was closed so I opened it. I was jogging along a path in a big feild. I soon reached the end of the feild where a big river started. There was a city in the distance. I created a path in the water and jogged along that path until I reached the other side. I saw a bunch of ports for ships so I tried to land on one of them but for some reason I flew left uncontrolably. It stopped but I was losing lucidity. I was trying to land on the path. It was quite dark and there were a few houses along the other side of the path. The atmosphere was a little unpleasant. I grabbed onto a branch but my hands suddenly started going numb and I thought that maybe there were some poisonous insects sitting on the branch, but I knew they wouldn't harm me because it was a dream. My hands and feet started burning (not literally - it was just a sensation) and I flew around. I soon "woke up".

I look at the clock and it is four-something, I'll have to wake up in less than two hours. I write some key words from the previous dream so I can remember them later and "fall asleep".

I am in school, I think. A guy comes up to me and asks whether he can borrow my inking pen to ink his drawing. I say no (I don't usually let random people borrow my art supplies - they might be to careless with them and break it somehow). Declan (a stupid guy I dislike) comes up to me and asks whether he should ink his drawing with a 0.8 or 0.3 inking pen, while holding one of my inking pens. I tell him that he can't borrow either, and that if he wants to ink his drawing, he can buy a cheap inking pen if he doesn't want to spend too much money. He doesn't want to buy it so he continues to annoy me. I tell him to use a black pencil then. He agrees to that idea.

I walk into a shop (declan is still there) and I see the lady who sells the food. "You can take a gift if you want. Choose something you like and you can have it for free." She says. I think it had something to do with easter. I consider taking a big chocolate egg, but I don't want to appear greedy so I choose something else.

I am in a building with many bunk-beds. There is a creepy atmosphere. I am semi-lucid, I think. I crawl on the walls and ceiling and then in one of the rooms there is a dead elmo bed and I at first put my bed stuff below it, but decided that I did not want to sleep in a creepy room like that. On the ceiling there were things made of pipe-cleaner craft things.

After this dream, I woke up and looked at the clock and it was around 3 am. I realised that the previous time I woke up and saw that it was 4 am was a false awakening, which means that I really didn't write any notes on the previous dreams so I had to really try to remember the lucid and try to piece together the events. I am going to do a RC before I write down my dreams from now on so I don't lose any details because of a sneaky FA.

    5. Barbie doll dare

      by , 04-28-2015 at 04:20 PM (dolphin's dreams)
I wake up from a previous dream and see some HI. I remain still, hoping to DEILD. The HI becomes more vivid for a couple of seconds before a dream scene of my bedroom pops into view. Starting to walk, I see a girl and think about doing some sexy stuff, but decide my dare is much more important. I walk down the hallway and find some empty floor space. I ask the dream to throw me some Barbie dolls. Some Barbie dolls get thrown on the floor out of thin air. They aren't real attractive, having bushy white hair, but I think they are close enough. I do the same to summon some Ken dolls, who have bushy black hair. The Barbie dolls are moving around but the Ken dolls are still sleeping. I wake up a Ken doll. A grab him and force him to look at Barbie. "Interact with each other!" I demand. Barbie says, "Umm...he's really attractive???" another Ken doll chimed in "I like wet vines!" I start to tell them about Amelia Earheart and wake up.

    6. Feeling both bodies at once

      by , 04-28-2015 at 11:30 AM
This was in the morning. I had already woken up but thought I could try to fall asleep to some MILD affirmations to have a short lucid dream.

All of a sudden, I found myself in the same bed, but with my dream journal in hand (I had bought a new one the day before) and looking at the front page. There, I could read the fields "name" and "username" yet to be filled. The "username" one made me think of DreamViews, but I knew the actual journal doesn't have this field. I became lucid right away, and did the nose-pinch RC to confirm. Of course, I could breathe through it, but at the same time I was able to feel my real body on my bed. I thought it was best not to move for a little while because I seemed to be half awake. Then, for some reason I started worrying I would oversleep, so finally I decided to open my eyes.

3/28 - WILD-style entry but memory gap before entry. Nudge vibrations. Sound I decide will be shower and dream girl inside. Roll out of bed and despite poor visuals I interact with dream girl sexually. First G use, 4mg + 250mg C (commit to use it no more than once a week). #301

3/29 - DILD notice I am shirtless at a party in a library and realize I am dreaming. Float around vaulted ceilings above crowd. #302

3/31 vivid apple juice dreams! DILD in which I use my time stopping stop watch and have a sexual interaction.#303

4/1 FA caught DILD. Suspect sound of alarm being turned off is not waking life. Hall too dark - should mean this is a dream. See a sign on bottom half of home office door with moving visuals and know for sure I am dreaming. Phase outside and end up back inside later and stabilize by licking and touching wall. I decide I will find Girl Friday in the house and do under some blankets in a bedroom. Interact sexually! 304

4/2 Day practices: This really could be a dream!
I reach for a cat that fades away…aha DILD. Flying among interesting clouds as far as I can see. 305

DILD Hose being pulled…by who? See no one and head to front door…it's ajar…break in? I bet I'm dreaming. Float RC, yes! Ends trying to stabilize rubbing the ground. 306

DEILD Although I feel myself back in bed, I get the idea to imagine that I can still feel the ground I was rubbing and I can. Eye clench vibrations. Lots more ground rubbing. Eventually get classroom scene with cute blonde nearby and sexual interaction. 307

4/5 DILD guard messing with me and I use dream actions to attack him in a van. Lower level lucid. 308

DILD I go into my familiar hall bathroom but the toilet is gone..aha! Sexual interaction with Girl Friday and her mother. 2nd ever G experiment. Same 4mg/250mg G+C dosage. 309

4/9 DILD guy pops out and I think whoop him like in a dream…I am dreaming! I attack him with multiple combinations and the move on to dream goal peg 1. 310

4/10 DILD narrow stairs and black lady coming down them. Start to move aside and then realize I can just float over her…ah yes I am dreaming. Float up to next level and low head space and mostly crawl through interesting halls and rooms. Some interesting toys remind me of one of my favorite lucid dreams. Attempt dream goal peg 1. 311

4/12 After some trouble getting to sleep and memory gap I have a WILD style entry. Dream started in bedroom and continued in house and bedroom with some involved stabilization on street. Completed dream goal peg 1 (subconscious question..should I..? Answer: "If you want to." Dream felt like 10 minutes. 3rd G experiment same dose 4mg+250mg. 312

4/18 vibrations and WILD style. Sexy woman in short skirt. 313

4/19 WILD style entry and maybe held onto consciousness throughout - remember thinking it is taking a while to get to sleep. Vibrations, ethereal experience, no visuals but feel I'm in my dream body. I remember my previous embrace of Girl Friday in a non-lucid, the warm hug and I start to feel her again. I rub my hands up and down her back to bring us both firmly into the same space. We have a very sensual, sexual interaction. Eventually vibrations and a fade back to bed. 314

After some minutes of patience, which is unusual for my DEILDs, normally feeling that if it doesn't happen in a matter of seconds that it won't...so perhaps more WILD than DEILD. Involved some eye clenches to nudge the vibrations…guessing some waking eyes and some dreaming eyes doing the clenches. The rest here: http://www.dreamviews.com/tasks-mont...ml#post2156310 315

Similar set of playing with vibrations and then backing off trying to let the vibrations ride on their own. So many voices. After a while I find myself at a busy conference. Rest at the same link above, TOTM. This was my 4th experiment with G + C and the first at a dosage of 8mg and 500mg. 316

4/24 DILD running down this beautiful wide set of stairs I am easily able to jump down to the next flight and 2 flights on the next jump fully realizing that I am dreaming. Joyfully float down to a huge open lobby area. Later FA where I am telling someone about the dream. 317

4/26 I seem to go in and out of lucidity for a good length of dreams with many sexual interactions and experiences. 2nd time with upped dose G + C 8mg and 500mg. 318

4/3/2015 False Awakening April 3 Lucid
I was lying in my bed completely aware. I looked over at my sister's bedroom door which was open. All of the sudden some strange, big lady walked past her door. I was suddenly being pulled to the lady. It was terrifying.

    9. Sky Boxes, Skype calling and a Star in a Quartz Crystal (#199)

by , 04-25-2015 at 02:40 PM (Lucid Time!)
Before this I had a dream that my family was really rich and my dad was secretly a mad scientist. The dream ended with this car chase.

There was also something to do with me trying to hide a bunch of stuff inside an oven. This part of the dream repeated over and over.

      ...

Something to do with Asokah Tano (apologies if I butchered that spelling.) from the Star Wars TV series.

      ...

I was in my subdivision. I had this 'toy' rocket ship that could be controlled with this wand remote control. The rocket ship had three engines and wings on the sides along with a pointy nose-cone and a camera dome on top, sort of like a mini cockpit. I could control it by pressing a button and waving the wand around.

I was flying it around but I kept crashing it by accident. At one point, I tried to land it but the pointy nose cone went through someone's garage door and punched a little hole about an inch wide.

I decided it was best to put the thing away before the neighbors saw and got me in trouble so I carried it home. When I got to the front door I put it down and started asking where I got this thing. I said to myself something like:

"Wait a second, I know for a fact that I don't have this toy. So why am I playing with it like it is nothing? I should reality check."

I did a nose pinch RC. I became lucid. I then started hearing my friend S's voice asking if I was there. I asked him where he was. He said that he was on a skype call but had been away for awhile. I told him that I was in a lucid dream. He got really excited saying that I was talking to him through a Skype call in a lucid dream.

I walked inside my house, but I told myself that I would arrive somewhere else when I opened the door, I just saw the front room of my house. I ran a couple of circles around the interior of my house but everything still stayed the same.

I told S that I was going to try and dream spin. Normally I don't have a lot of luck with dream spinning, but it was worth a try here. I spun around in the front room of my house and everything went black. I just saw a mucky haze of reddish colors and heard some quiet sounds.

I found myself floating in the middle of a lake. S asked what I was seeing. I told him I saw some trees, houses and that I was in a lake. S then said that he was bored and was going to get going. I heard the Skype call sign out sound and he was gone. I remember being kind of happy that he was gone, now I could just concentrate on my lucid dream.

I propelled myself across the surface of the water and came up onto the shore of the lake. I looked around. Just a newly-built neighborhood. There was a dirt path leading into the woods and a bunch of trees had been cut to make room for the new houses. I remember looking at the log piles and seeing that the trunks had been cut into really short flat discs, only a few inches thick. I was wondering why the workers might have done this.

I decided I would fly. "Fire Jets On!" I'm going. I remember as I got above the trees. (They didn't have any leaves or anything. I think it was early spring.) I saw this big red sand dune with a few small rock towers on top. I then noticed that it looked like the sky was getting closer in the wrong kind of way.

      "Is that a skybox?"

I hit the wall shoulder first ready for an impact.

      "Yep, there's a skybox."

I landed on top of the red sand hill. I looked back and saw the other three walls of the skybox, containing the houses, the lake from before, the dirt road and the leafless forest.

I still wanted a way out of here. I remember seeing a blanket with a whole bunch of large quartz crystals laying out on it. I then figured that the next logical thing to do was to try and break the skybox. I picked up one of the largest crystals. It was about 3" wide and a foot long.

I had the inkling that it wouldn't work, and I was really just doing it as a joke. I held the crystal high in the air.

"By the power of this Crystal, I will destroy the evil Skybox. Excalibur!"

I heard a humming sound that grew louder and louder and then climaxed with a glass breaking sound and the sun/lights went out. (Oops, shorted out the lights.) But there was still light. I brought the crystal down and it was glowing in a bluish white color.

The glow slowly faded away from the crystal, but I tried to send more power to it and make it start glowing once more. I no longer felt like I was in the sky-box room, but rather my bedroom. I tried to turn on the lights but they seemed broken too.

I decided to see how bright I could make the crystal glow. I held it with both hands and tried to push as much power as I could into it. It started glowing really bright. Then, all of the sudden it went dark. I saw all of the little cracks and imperfections in the crystal had gone away.

Then the light came back to the crystal with this flame ignition sound effect. There was a little blue sun inside the crystal that didn't fade or die away. It stayed there. The light refracted out of the crystal like a prism into a rainbow of colors around the room.

      "Disco Rave!"

I got bored with the dream or was simply pulled into my false awakening.

False awakening. I saw that my laptop was at the foot of my bed and Skype was open. I closed it up and went back to sleep hoping the dream could continue, but it did not.

    10. Double WBTB (#196,197) I'm back and I'm lookin for Jack!

by , 04-23-2015 at 02:10 PM (Lucid Time!)
I wish I had more hands so I could give this dry spell more than two middle fingers at a time.

The dream started off with me in my backyard doing random things and became lucid. I might have actually become lucid because I saw a small Chinese girl wearing a school uniform and walking across the surface lake behind my house. I also remember observing the dream sign of everything being foggy/overcast and all of the plants were very green/lush.

I saw her getting closer and for some reason thought that they were a threat. There was a big boulder of pink granite with white quartz crystals growing out of it in the garden in my yard. I thought I could earthbend it at them. I could not.

They came closer and asked me what I was doing. I thought of three questions for her. I asked her the first two questions but I cannot remember what I was asking her or what she answered with.

I remember the third question was pertaining to finding Jack.

"So I'm trying to find Jack? Do you know where he is?"

"Jack?! He's really hot! We should get naked!"

"Nah, let's save that one for when we're doing the Task of the Month." (What?)

I told them I wasn't interested, but they were free to do what they wanted. They started to take off her schoolgirl uniform when I noticed they had a little hanging surprise in their skirt. I pointed it out to her and they got really embarrassed and changed their mind about getting naked.

      ...

For one reason or another she got very mad started attacking me she tried to kick me but I blocked. They tried to move in and attack, but I flipped her over. I saw that they had changed into a little boy wearing a martial arts uniform and a black belt.

They continued attacking and getting more and more angry. I remember them using this weird spinning kick in the air and I grabbed the person's leg and pushed them back into the wall of my house. They tried one more time running straight at me then jumped in the air and did a flip trying to kick me from directly on top. I stepped out of the way and pushed them causing them to fall over.

(Word of advice, It doesn't matter how good of a martial artist you are, you're probably not going to beat a lucid dreamer.)

In the end, the DC was laying on the ground, appearing as a different boy now. They asked me why I wasn't hitting them back. I told them it was because they were a little kid (12-13ish) and I got a bad feeling from hurting children. I think I started helping them up when the dream ended.

      -WBTB-

I was on Skype. My profile picture was set to the picture that DawnEye11 drew of me and Manei. My friend messaged me asking me who Manei was. (Funny I thought he already knew.) I told him to just forget it and I would change the picture.

I started looking through pictures I could use. I remember finding this one similar to my avatar picture but the left arm was robotic and made of a bluish shiny metal. The character had this really creepy smile and the lighting looked off. I thought it looked cool but couldn't remember when I drew it. When I tried to set it as my profile picture some kind of error came up.

      -WBTB-

False awakening. I am a young kid (10ish). It is Christmas morning. I run downstairs to see what I got. I remember getting a giant Lego Star Wars Clone Trooper figurine that was about two feet tall. My cousin asked me if she was getting a [some gibberish item] from me. I told her I didn't know.

      ...

I am in the soccer field outside my old middle school. There is a bunch of playground equipment in the field. I decided I wanted to go on the swings because I always enjoyed going on the swings as a kid. I saw an empty swing-set with big yellow swings on the edge of the playground.

I also made some comment about the children playing while walking over there.

The swings suddenly filled up with people, but there was still one empty one on the end. I got on and started swinging. Another kid asked me why I was on the swings and thought that I might be too old for it. I told him how I always liked to jump off the swing and pretend that I was flying, ever since I was little.

I then jumped off the swing but to my surprise I just floated there above the playground.
Lucidity hit me like a truck. I remembered my goal was to find Jack. I figured I could find him by air a lot faster. I took control of my flying, fire jets on. I was only projecting them out of my feet though. I flew a circle around the playground, gaining some altitude and speed.

      "Woah! Look at that!"

      "He's flying!"

      "How is he doing that?"

I remember this big tree that is actually outside my middle school IWL. I flew through some of the branches. I figured I could fly to my house and manifest him there. I remember thinking to myself that I have never flown to a destination before. (Don't know what kind of broken logic that is, I flew to the moon last week.)

When I pulled above the hill to see my neighborhood I saw that it had been replaced with a trailer park and a couple of these weird round glass towers with all of these levels covered in different plant species. Beyond that was a mountain.

I picked up speed and flew up the side of the mountain. The plants began to morph into tropical plants and the sky went from orange to blue. I saw the left side of my vision change to a beach. I thought that this might be a good place to go.

I did a roll to the left and went in lower over the water. I thought I recognized the shape of the beach as being similar to that around the beach resort my family goes to every year. I expected it to show up, but when I got closer I saw that there was just a wooden house there. Nope. I went really low over the water and started running/sliding across the surface.

I jumped back into the air and did a flip and started flying again. This destabilized the dream a bit too much. I remember looking at the sun and saying stabilize the dream. I remember seeing some seagulls coming from that direction too. They flew alongside me. I for some reason had the irrational fear that they would poop on me though.

I saw that I was now flying over an archipelago of tropical islands. I had like eagle vision and it zoomed in and I could see Manei on the end of a peninsula off one of the islands about a mile away. I broke away from the seagulls and pulled in low over the island. I landed and started sliding across the road, still using fire to propel me.

There was a small concrete bridge and I saw a person driving a jeep coming right at me. The beeped and started to swerve off the road. I pushed flames to the side and avoided him.

      "Sorry! Sorry..."

I was getting close now, I could see Manei standing there wearing a long blue cloak. Someone else was with her. But as I started to get closer they started walking down the side of the peninsula. I remember getting to where she was standing and looking down. I could see her and two other DCs making their way down the rocks into the ocean. There was also a grove of these bamboo like trees in the water nearby.

I started to follow her, but I lost her somehow and almost fell into the water. The water with all the bamboo trees looked mucky like a swamp. I didn't want to go in it, and I stopped myself above the surface and started hovering. I wanted to fly back up to see if I could find Manei again.

I tried to fly up but for some reason went backwards into the bamboo trees forest. Nuts! Not buggy flying again. I floated gently forward back to the peninsula. I stuck my hands in some sand and looked at the sun agian.

      "Stabilize dream."

I picked up some clarity and tried to fly up, but I just ended up shooting backwards into the bamboo tree forest agian. The back of my head hit a tree. The tree (though it was only about three inches thick) broke and it hurt the back of my head really bad.

      Spoiler for Profane:

I was now thoroughly lost in the bamboo tree forest. It felt like the forest was swallowing me up. I started to hear some frogs peeping. I grabbed onto a tree and I knew the dream was ending. I grabbed onto one of the bamboo trees and told myself it was time to DEILD.

I saw my vision go to a bunch of concentric blurry colored boxes. A computer loading bar appeared in white. It said DEILD was loading. It was filling up really slowly, and when it got about 1/3rd of the way I woke up.

    11. Balloon and Mantra (WILD + FAs)

      by , 04-22-2015 at 07:21 PM
Ritual: WTB 2:30am, woke up to work from 5:30 to 6:30am, realized I'd drunk too much coffee before bedtime and have trouble going back to sleep. I figure as long as I'm insomniac, might as well try for LD and take some L-theanine and alpha-GPC. I try counting but have trouble focusing, realize I need more motivation so resolve on a task. I had been thinking earlier about the use of mantras for getting lucid, and I've had trouble deciding on one so I thought I should ask a DC.

WILD, "Balloon and Mantra": Since it seemed to initiate directly from the waking state, I guess this was a WILD though there was no distinct experience of transition, at least in the way I usually experience it (shifting into dream while continuing to perceive that I am lying in bed). At the beginning it felt more like hypnagogic imagery that I was playing around with, but gradually acquired more solidity and focus. (Or maybe that's the "normal" way people do it, haha.)

I'm on top of a building, playing catch with two other girls. We're throwing a ball around between us counter-clockwise. The girl to my left spikes the ball to make it hard for me to catch, so I retaliate by throwing it right back at her when she's not expecting it, instead of continuing to pass to the other girl. She says it's not fair because she wasn't paying attention. I retort that I did it because of the way she was playing.

The game becomes more leisurely and the ball becomes a balloon. I sit down and I'm practicing moving it telekinetically. The balloon is making the kind of strange echoing sounds that you hear when handling real balloons, only strongly magnified. I'm impressed with the way my mind can conjure that unusual but distinctive sound which I probably haven't heard in years. Although the sound component of the dream is impressively vivid, the visuals are terrible. The whole scene is in grainy black and white, and the balloon is white too, which makes it very hard to see against the sky when I bounce it up into the air. At one point I launch it away from me and lose sight of it altogether. When I go to summon it back, instead of the balloon returning to my hand, my right hand is contorted with a strange sensation, like it's being squeezed.

Around this time, everything switches over to bright color, brilliant blues and pinks. It happens as suddenly as turning on a light, and makes everything look much more vivid and cheerful. I figure this is REM switching on more fully, and comment to one of the DCs, "Hey, color just kicked in!" I notice that instead of the two girls, there are now at least a dozen of them, and they seem to be having a dance party. I hear a bouncy pop song playing in the background.

I get up and wander through the group, then suddenly I remember the task I had designated as I went to sleep. I approach a girl at random. She's dressed very unusually and elaborately, probably day residue from a Chinese painting I was looking at in WBTB, and I'm doubtful about whether she will be able to help, but figure it can't hurt to ask.

      Exploding match?-tangyin_poem-red-leaf_sm.jpg

"I'm looking for a lucid dream mantra," I begin, then think I should explain more clearly what I mean. "Something that—"

"Who is your mantra?" she interrupts. It's such an odd question that I stop and look more closely at her. Her face is pretty but blank.

"That was my question," I reply, then wait to see if she'll have anything more helpful to offer.

"Who is your mantra?" she repeats, in exactly the same tone and words, like a broken record.

"That's what I'm trying to figure out," I insist. This is going nowhere. Reaching back with two hands I grasp the edges of a cloth, as though it were a scarf I were wearing around my neck, and draw it over both our heads. Now the two of us are alone in the dark, face to face, with just a bit of the background peeping through under the edges of the cloth behind her. Although I had performed the gesture instinctively, my intention was to blot out the distractions so I could try to communicate with the girl more effectively. A more rational course would have been to find someone else to ask, or ask the dream directly, but I got too caught up in my determination to try to make her understand. My approach was not helpful, however, as this deconstruction of most of the dream environment makes me lose traction and wake up.

FAs: I had gotten up and was nearly ready for work. I went to use the bathroom before leaving and stood there dumbfounded: everything else looked normal, but the toilet was gone! I recognized immediately what this must mean. "You've got to be freakin' kidding me," I said aloud. Usually I would be delighted to realize I was still dreaming, but this time I already felt like I'd invested a lot of time in getting ready for my day, and now I would have to do it all over again, so I was actually annoyed.

My lucid awareness must have been pathetically low, because instead of doing something cool with the dream or thinking of one of my many fallback tasks, I stood there until I had successfully conjured the toilet back into place, because I still wanted to use it! Then I noticed that the clarity of the dream was waning and in an attempt to restore focus, told myself: "Open your eyes." But I accidentally opened my real eyes, waking up! It was a fail on so many levels.

I wanted to get back to the dream state so again I tried to play along with hypnagogic visuals. I had an image of a three medieval-looking riders in a wooded hillside. There was a male, a female, and one other. I was loping after them in the form of a wolf. The scene felt stronger and more stable than the usual hypnagogic imagery, but less tangible than a fully manifested dream. I realized that I instinctively knew the names of the man and the woman. (I suspect the indistinct third was their servant or page.)

After I had nearly caught up with the riders, I worried that if they noticed me in wolf form they might shoot me with an arrow, so I transformed into a woman (nude, I noticed) and caught their attention. They turned around one exclaimed, "A forest sprite!"

I "woke up" (I might have even had a vague sense at the time that it was not a real waking, since it still felt too "thin" for a proper dream) and tried to write down their names on my computer. The man's came so easily that it left no trace in memory, but the woman's name took me a lot of effort to type correctly, and I kept making mistakes and having to fix them. On the bright side, this meant that I still remembered it clearly when I woke up for real later. Her name was "Gwynrse," which I took to be Welsh.

    12. Her Name Was Ramsey

by , 04-22-2015 at 03:26 PM (Visual Space)
      Her Name Was Ramsey
It's been a while since I got on here .

Been busy if a lot of things and had a dry spell recently. However, I have been having vivid dreams of a girl that kept popping up in every dream I had whenever I slept or nap. Slowly I got close to her as if she was a person. Not obsessive or anything crazy, just a very close bond. We did many things such as jump on houses made of moon bounces and have a giant water park where roofs of houses were water slides. This whole time with her, and many nights of fun...I never knew her name. Every time I asked, she will shoot a playful smile and say "you'll see." This particular dream I had last night, finally, was lucid and many things happened...which led to her unfortunate end.

      How it all ended.

It started with me waking up on a boardwalk. Instantly I became lucid and was very excited but I calmed myself before losing control and clarity. I walked around and it had a pirates of the Caribbean feel to it. Everything was a dark blue hue with orange-lit lanterns all over the boardwalk and was relatively foggy, but nonetheless you can still see far. there was also old looking houses made of what look liked marble and cobblestone. I began to take in the nightly feel and all of a sudden, copious amounts of people began running pass me screaming and shouting excitingly for some reason. Next thing you know I see the dream girl. She runs pass me smiling saying "what ya doing slow poke? come on." I run alongside her towards this big stone mansion everyone was running inside.

The place was literally a giant wine cellar full of butt loads of wine and kegs of rum (butt load is actually a measurement of rum and wine, who knew? lol)...at least that is what I thought. the dream girl throws it a large wine bottle at me, "drink up" she says. she chugs down hers and I do the same, however the taste was off. It tasted very fruity but powerful at the same time. I put the bottle under a very bright lantern...the liquid inside was iridescent green...the hell did I drink I thought. I asked the dream girl and she responds with a chuckle and walks outside. I follow her for I know she usually shows with actions more than words.

Next thing you know, she shoots a fiery lightning bolt in the sky. I'm thinking that I just gargled down some elixir. She says, "whatever you think of, it will be your power, that is the power of this wonderful drink." I began to think of lasers and out comes a blue laser out of my finger into the sky. "Cool, isn't it?" she retorts. As cute as she was, I asked what was going on and immediately afterwards an explosion happens in the cellar and rocks the ground. it makes a crevice underneath the girl but I catch her before she falls. she then looks at me and says, "A battle royale is about to ensue to see who will be god."

We look around us to see powers and fists flying all over the place. I decided to jump in it cause why the hell not. I start taking out many people and soon later becomes me vs the people. The girl then begins to help and zaps people whoever tries to flank me. It was a long and very exciting rush as this was very vivid almost liking waking life, so you can imagine the adrenaline I was getting.

lasers, pulse beams, gamma rays, you name it, I was doing them all the while the girl conjures up any lightning type there was. we were practically unstoppable. "Nice work, master." she says in a joking manner, which sort caught me off guard. suddenly, this big guy who was strong like Broly from DBZ comes and snatches the girl in my face and flies up in the sky. Immediately I began chase with all the people below me following up as well. I come to face to face with this hulk of a dude and figure out his name was Amarok, who is indeed a god.

I try to get the girl but he was so quick I could not even get within a few inches before he dashes in all directions. He then punches the girl down to the ground, knocking her out. Amarok charges, at me and me, now enraged, does the same and this big epic battle wages as at the same, we are dealing with the people coming at us. it was extremely chaotic. slowly after, extreme music-Invincible starts playing in the background as I fight this godly man. the girl wakes up and fight's his daughter, who was named Yonah. I finally knock Amarok back to the surface and kick Yonah, before she stabs the girl....Now I have 2 very powerful after me...great.

After long battles, I crush Amarok's head on the ground, finally defeating him all the while Yonah, tragically, kills the girl right behind me. I literally just watched her stab in the chest with her hands before throwing her at me. I catch her, and the only the girl does, is look at me and smile and says "say you love me, Cause I always did." I say the words, and then black.

I am now over Yonah's body and still holding the girl. To which I began to cry. Even though this was a dream girl, I had a strong bond with her. she kept popping in my dreams whatever they me, even randoms, and this has been going on for a few weeks up until that point. I wake up and thought the dream was over. Until I saw the door open by itself...false awakening. I walk into my kitchen lit with the lanterns and I see a small piece of paper. "I will never forget your company, and your warm heart ~Ramsey." I then woke up for real.

It was an awesome but extremely personal dream. I wish I could have save her so she can apart of more of my dreams but I guess it had to happen. When I'm lucid, I usually go along with the dreams as they go and react to everything around me, even though I can for surely control it if I want, but it won't be fun that way. I felt though I should have controlled that part so she wouldn't have died. I went back to sleep to see if I can bring her back but for some reason I couldn't. So sadly, I'm just letting her go. I crazy as this was (and sounds lol) it was the most vivid and insane dream I had yet and I'm pleased to be out of my dry spell.
    13. False Impressions (brief DILD + FA)

      by , 04-18-2015 at 07:54 PM
Ritual: I don't know if it was the jackfruit seeds or a bad scallop, but something I ate last night was brutal to my stomach. It got so unpleasant I that for a few hours I couldn't do anything but pace in discomfort, hoping something would come out in any direction. Finally I threw up, which usually leaves me feeling 100% better, but this was only a minor improvement. I managed to read for a bit, drinking herbal tea and self-medicating with tinctures of myrrh and wormwood. Around midnight I threw up again and finally felt stable enough to sleep. Although my stomach still hurt for a few hours and I couldn't drink much water at first, by the time I woke up at 8am, I was feeling basically fine again. My dream recall was terrible, though: I knew I had dreamed but couldn't pin down a single detail. At 9am I decided to go back to bed for a bit, performed half-assed WILD technique but started dreaming non-lucidly. On waking up my recall was 1/10 at first, but once I managed to recover the location of the dream I was able to follow the thread and reconstruct much of the narrative, resulting in 4/10 recall overall.

I was in my grandmother's house, a common setting for many of my dreams. The events going on were all very mundane... too dull to go into much detail. Briefly, I was looking for some powder that you could mix with milk to make a shake, similar to the Carnation Instant Breakfast packets my grandmother always used to have on hand, but couldn't find any.

I went into the bathroom and finally realized that my location was a dream sign, so I started to look around and wonder if this was a dream. Everything seemed so concrete and convincing that I had my doubts, but then something bizarre happened: I suddenly felt like I was being grabbed from behind by someone putting their arm around my right shoulder, but there was no one in the room with me! I whirled around to make sure and was staring at empty air. A moment later I felt it again even more strongly: the pressure of the arm squeezing my shoulder and chest, and the pressure of a warm body very close behind me.

Ohhh, I thought. I think I know what's going on. I really am dreaming, and my husband has come back to bed and put his arms around me. Upon that realization, I felt the dream fading, and sure enough, woke up in bed next to my husband.

"Are you going to get up? It's 1:50 in the afternoon," he said. I pointed out that I had returned to bed to for extra rest because I hadn't been feeling well last night. I was telling him about the strange thing that had just happened, how I had felt his presence while I was dreaming. I went on to explain how I should have recognized that it was a dream earlier, because my cousins were all much younger than they should be, and my grandmother's house was in the possession of an aunt (long-since divorced) rather than the uncle who currently lives there. My husband apologized for disrupting my dream, but I said it was okay, it hadn't been that interesting.

As we talked, I was looking out the screen door onto our patio. Where I should have seen the pool and cement deck, instead I was mildly surprised to observe a grassy hillside. I attributed this to some lingering after-effects of the dream state, instead of correctly realizing that I had never stopped dreaming all along. In retrospect this is more obvious, because the way I felt my husband put his arm around my right shoulder was impossible given that I sleep on the right side of the bed, so if I'm on my left side there is no room for someone to lay down behind me. I was also relieved when I woke up for real and discovered that it was only a little after 10:30am!
    14. Wine and Cheese + Navriela (DILD + DEILD + FA)

      by , 04-17-2015 at 08:29 PM
Ritual: WTB 2:30am, woke 7:15. I was stressed over something and felt too awake to go back to sleep right away, so I got up and put some time into a project for work. Returned to bed at 8:45am, no techniques, though I wondered if the WBTB would make lucidity more likely (happily it did) and woke again at 10am. Recall: 6/10.

DILD, "Wine and Cheese": I'm walking down a footpath outdoors, carrying a cat in the hem of my dress. That is, I've folded up my hem to make a kind of pocket with the cat in it. She is an orange tabby short-hair that doesn't resemble any cat I've known in WL. I think she'll probably want to look around, so I try to arrange the "pocket" in such a way that she can rest her paws on the edge of the hem that I am holding and peek her head out. This works for a while, but then I notice that my black inner dress feels too tight around my legs, hampering my movements, and I think I must have accidentally caught it up together with the hem of the outer dress (which is a sheer light brown fabric). In trying to rearrange it so I can walk unimpeded, the cat falls back down into the "pocket," but I figure this isn't so bad, since the outer dress is translucent, maybe she can still enjoy the view.

However, the cat is getting restless, and I remember something I read the other day on the forums: that if you just keep walking or wandering in a particular direction, the dream will destabilize. Well, such a thing has never happened to me before, despite numerous opportunities, but now I've caught a touch of schema infection from reading about it. [I agree with FryingMan that as a community we should try to be more conscientious about making claims that might infect other people's schemas!] So of course now that I'm anxious about it I start to feel destabilization coming on—I need to do something, quick! I notice that I am walking past a little wine-and-cheese shop, so I decide to duck in for a snack.

Almost immediately I start to wonder if this was a bad idea... sitting down for a whole meal seems like a very drab and tedious way to spend my precious dream time. I decide to keep it short and just taste a few things; there's no need to finish after all. So I order some white wine and a cheese plate. The lady running the shop insists that we also try a certain specialty of theirs, which turns out to be a kind of spread that you put over toast. I see that all of these menu options are also listed on a small chalkboard hung over the doorway to the kitchen, though she prepares everything from behind a counter that is in the dining room. She serves us two types of their specialty spread, together with wedges of three kinds of cheese. It looks like very high-quality cheese, and I'm surprised (and a bit dismayed) to see how big the pieces are.

The only seating in the place, which is very small, is a long communal table. I sit down and don't find it odd that I have a dining companion who sits to my right, though I didn't notice her before and my impressions are so vague that all I can really specify (uncertainly) is her gender. The orange cat I was carrying before is on the floor at my feet, and I hope the proprietor won't mind if she sees me feeding the cat little pieces of cheese. I take a sip of wine and a bite of some cheese and I am pleasantly surprised. Normally in dreams my sense of taste is dull and muted, but the taste and texture of this cheese is identical to the real thing. It is a sharp, tangy cheese with a firm, slightly crumbly texture like certain Spanish or French cheeses made from ewe's milk. I feel more enthusiastic about being here now, since I can enjoy a delightful snack without worrying about any extra calories! But on my second bite of cheese, as I concentrate on enjoying it, my perceptions accidentally shift to my real mouth—which of course is completely empty and tastes like night saliva. The dream fades and I very nearly wake up.

DEILD, "Navriela": Luckily I realize that I am not fully awake but just below the threshold, so I think I can probably DEILD. Initially I try to DEILD back into the dream I just left, but it has fragmented beyond retrieval. So I just focus on getting the dreamstate back. Visuals kick in first: I see what looks like the vantage of a movie camera tracking steadily from left to right over something that resembles a grim, minimalist palace interior, perhaps an empty throne room. Everything is smooth and metallic grey and vertical. Probably because I start to wonder what was supporting the camera for this shot, which is too smooth and gravity-defying for a human cameraman, I now hear a male voice off-screen saying, "It is difficult to make a movie like this." I listen and continue to hear voices conversing about the film, so with both sight and sound back in play, I know that dream is kicking in.

The camera has moved right through a doorway into the upper landing of a stairwell, and now I see a slender woman dressed all in silver begin to descend the stairs. To stabilize my senses I study her outfit, and I'm impressed how clearly I can perceive its details. She is wearing a kind of short jacket over a lower garment that reaches to her mid-thigh. It is not shorts or a skirt, however, and as I study it closely I observe a series of folds that suggest the garment consists of a single piece of cloth that was tucked between and through her legs to form something resembling short pants. I recognize this style of clothing—it looks like jongkraben, a kind of lower garment worn by both men and women in nineteenth-century Siam—but I'm surprised to see it in such an unusual context as this medieval/futuristic palace, worn by a pale, lithe, elf-like woman with white-blonde hair. I think I see some tassles dangling from the front, so I circle my perspective (still disembodied) around the woman to confirm what her outfit looks like from the front, and then continue to follow her down two flights of stairs.

At the bottom of the stairs she encounters an elderly but vigorous old man with a long white beard who resembles Gandalf. He starts talking to her and at one point asks, "What is your name?" I'm pleased that he has asked the question I was wondering. There is something so youthful yet elvishly ancient about the woman that she strongly reminds me of Galadriel in LOTR, even resembling Cate Blanchett a little bit, and I half-expect her to say that "Galadriel" is her name, especially now that I'm thinking it. But the dream surprises me, and she answers with something that sounds equally elvish, but a name I don't think I've ever heard before: "Navriela."

I start to think I should embody myself in this dream and work on some task. Had I been a little more on the ball I might have thought to accompany Navriela to a nearby forest to make another attempt my lucid dare, but I am too distracted by my growing attraction to her. I reflect that if I was one of the guys I would surely go "caveman" on her, and this gives me an idea for an experiment: what if I try to become a man? I sometimes identify as male characters in NLDs, but I hadn't attempted this before in an LD.

I imagined myself as a guy and approached Navriela with romantic intentions. She was compliant as I took her into my arms, and we fell together on a bed that was conveniently placed in an adjoining room. I started trying to make love to her as a man, although it was all rather vague and hasty (I don't even think we took our clothes off) and I didn't notice any differences in my anatomy. Nevertheless, there was something very arousing about it and I quickly orgasmed. "It's always so much easier for men," I thought wryly—overlooking the fact that it is always easier in dreams anyway.

FA: I woke up and immediately went to my computer to start writing my report, but I was having trouble accessing my word file. First I tried under "Open Recent," in Word since it's usually somewhere in that list, and when I didn't see it I tried typing the name of the file in the search box, but that didn't work either. I resorted to my back-up plan, dropping to desktop and clicking to the alias of my dream journal that I'd placed there, but even that failed for some reason. Since I actually do often have trouble accessing the file when I'm half-awake and hastening not to lose precious seconds of dream recall, it never occurred to me that my technical difficulties this time were evidence of an FA—even after discovering that my computer was in the middle of doing a full scan of some kind, and that my files were all locked until the scan was complete. Instead, I rationalized this by "remembering" that I had updated the OS just before I went to bed, and that concluded a mass file update was part of the process. Fortunately the progress bar was already at 56% and resolving quickly, so I waited it out. The OS shifted over to the new version, and now a new icon appeared on the top of all my window frames. It was a cartoon-like graphic of a noble male face haloed in a bright burst of sunlight, resembling a demigod or superhero. I figured this was the logo of the new OS, the name of which I knew at the time, but I wasn't paying much attention because finally I was able to open my dream journal file and start taking notes. Initially I started jotting down a lot of keywords and short phrases so I wouldn't lose any key events: "Navriela," and "four kittens" and "wine and cheese shop," and then started filling in the details.

Eventually I woke up again and realized the last sequence had been an FA. Unfortunately my overall recall was now somewhat eroded the delay in waking up properly, especially of earlier sequences before I became aware that I was dreaming. I don't think there was ever a clear boundary or "aha" moment when I got lucid; it just seemed to naturally dawn upon me while I was walking down the path carrying the cat.

NLD: I can partly recall an even earlier scene, non-lucid, where I was in a store, looking through horse halters. I was surprised to find horse supplies for sale at a mainstream store like this—it resembled a budget department store like a Target. I compared several halters but didn't like their quality or appearance. One that I rejected was covered with pale pink fake fur; another incorporated a fly mask but I wasn't sure if the eye holes would fit properly. I ended up rejecting them all and walking away. As I left, I noticed that the halters were on display in the children's section of the store, which annoyed me: why is horseback riding so often pigeonholed as an activity for young children? Certainly it helps to start young, but it takes years of practice to get any good at it. I think it was after walking out of the store that I was carrying the cat in my dress, where my dream report started, but the transition is unclear. I also now have no idea what the keywords "four kittens" was referring to, among all the notes I had recorded in my dreamed dream journal—so there is probably at least one lost scene.

    15. 2015-04-17 the universe owed me a couple semi-epics and a sex-fest after 2 no recall nights

Finally back to some semi-epic dreaming!

early (late morning epics overwrote a couple more early ones):

+ I turn myself in for something and get arrested, they send a construction guy to clear away the thing we were building, he leaves all the building materials neatly stacked

+ dipping a stick into the ground, picking it up and eating the dirt/sand, do this several times before I realize I'm eating dirt and stop

+ I'm in nature outside in daylight, start walking down a 2 meter-wide path of short mowed grass, I know this is in an Ent forest. I wonder who mows the grass or if it is just grazed on by animals. I think about Ents walking around (but don't see one).

I'm wading along a clear stream, about a meter wide, standing in the middle, it is located under trees closing above blocking the sky. I look down in the water and see saucer-sized & shaped flat fish (like sole) that are light colored, almost transparent. They're friendly and swarm around me tickling my legs. I think they're easy to catch, and I grab hold of a few and lift them out of the water in my hands briefly. (One bits my finger and I have to pull it off?)

+ round table of <foreign language> teachers faces, several of them are my nationality (so how good are they if they're not native?), one is a blonde female missing some teeth (and is named "Jacky?")

+ baseball play: two runners both reach 2nd, collide, they both run for 3rd, really digging up dirt as they run, the throw is to 3rd, the first guy at least dives for the base and is safe. I think somebody must have been out, I'm not sure entirely what happened.

      late:

+ (false?) WILD transition, feel a fast atonia buzz/vibrations, yelling for my dad to "pick me up!" (into the dream), feel partial separation of dream mouth and dream body

+ I'm in a house high in the hills overlooking bay in the distance (like childhood home). Looking out the window at the water along the coastline in the distance, I see shapes of a large school of large things I decide are dolphins moving underneath the water. I see a very large animal as well and decide it's a whale. I watch them swimming around for a while and call to my family to come and see them. I keep repeatedly trying to point out the whale to my wife but she can't see it. The whale transforms into a massive dinosaur-looking fish whose back extends up out of the water. I'm becoming frantic with frustration amazed that my wife can't see the huge fish which is right there IT'S RIGHT THERE!

Then I'm floating in the very blue water in a seated position, body upright, my upper body is out of the water. I'm moving at fairly fast speed, like I'm holding on to a rope in the water being pulled by something. A bunch of people are moving along with me. Our path is an arc moving out into the deeper water, then curving to the left and heading back towards shore. We pass some people floating there in the water who are not moving, I think they've become stranded. I see some people are swimming along with the current to go faster. There are some large but gentle rounded waves at one point.

The water is now like a turbulent stream heading uphill, I see the owner/creator of the theme park for which this river is the entrance ride, he's saying something about the park. I briefly flow through small tunnels then emerge onto the descending entrance stairway into the park. I see a ball (walnut?) bouncing down the steps one by one. We're then there in the park (me, wife, kids [smaller age]). I look around and am not impressed. It's very large/huge for a playground but very small for an amusement part, more like a neighborhood park. The jungle gyms look boring and like everything is for very small children, I think my kids will be bored here.

Then I'm at the entrance again, which is like a deep empty swimming pool, I can't find the way up to enter the park. (Something opens?) and I see a way in? My glasses fall off and hit the hard cement ground and I'm afraid they're broken. I pick them up and indeed a see a big crack running along both lenses in the middle. I'm looking closely at the glasses for a few seconds and notice where the glass has broken away from the frames in places. I think these are expensive glasses ($XXX), and wonder if I can get just the lenses replaced. I do go sit down on a bench next to my wife and think more about these glasses.

+ in a building, someone's throwing something down a long hallway to us, we toss it back

I'm walking through a sports complex looking for a racquetball court. The courts are on the left, they're all bizarre: the walls are paneled with colorful, odd materials like those "solar street panels" [watched a video about these yesterday]:

The courts have glass front walls [DS] and are oddly-shaped. Too small, not deep enough, one extra-small one has 4+ guys in it playing handball, I watch one of the guys hit the ball off of the back wall in a big smash. One of the courts is "on the corner" and has a large corner inside the court itself.

Farther along, I'm hoping at least to find a challenge court so I can play soon, I wonder about my ability to play though at my age and shape. I come across what I think is a challenge court, there are about 8 people milling around outside, inside I see that they are playing doubles (2 on 2). I'm losing hope of finding an empty court or of being able to play. I turn around and walk back towards where I was before, some courts are now open but they're really weird: some sort of tent-structure is on top and a basketball hoop and I know these are "fighting" courts where there is real violence. One guy is going up to the upper part of one of these courts and wants me to join but I don't go in, it's not to my taste.

I walk further into the structure and emerge outside into a dark bleak landscape, there's nothing here, maybe another building in the distance. I turn around to go back but now I'm far up a steep hill above the exit where I came out, I see some people milling around there, I jump and float down, trying to aim for this door, but I'm gaining speed and I miss the door, trying to grab on to some poles as I go by and not get hurt.

+ semi-lucid girl-grabbing sex-fest, starting outside and moving into a public restroom, ending with (2?) FAs.

      Spoiler for sexy time, 18+:
