    1. Semi-Lucid 11.24.11

      by , 10-15-2015 at 09:08 PM
I remember protecting a young boy with dark hair and a darker complexion. He was being viciously attacked by his father/sterp-father. He was a big stocky fellow. I kept making the boy run from him on a playground that was similar to my grade school playground in rockford. I was actually keeping him, his mother, and one of his siblings from being hurt by his father. Everywhere we went the father kept finding us. He came rushing up to us with a gun shooting in our direction. I knew this had to stop. So I ran up to him and put my hand on the barrel of his gun. I told him, "I'll make a bet with you, you like bets don't you?" He nodded and so I replied, "Ok, I am going to let you unload this clip on me and if I die then you can do whatever you want, however, if I survive, you have to leave the boy and his family alone forever." He agreed so I took a step back and prepared to be shoot multiple times. For some reason he decided to throw a knife at me first. He missed. I picked up the knife and said, "see that won't work with me." I put out my left arm and cut myself with that knife. The pain wasn't as bad as I had expected and the would didn't bleed. I said "try again with the gun and remember our deal." He then brought the handgun up and fired multiple times. I remember feeling the bullets hit me but no pain. Unfortunately that is when my alarm went off and I woke up.

    2. Tupac And His Gorgeous Smile

      by , 09-14-2015 at 02:45 PM
Before sleeping I had pratically nothing to do with anything concerning Tupac. Although this dream really did sent chills through.)

During the beginning of this dream, I had arrived at this small house. For some reason it seemed like I had family that lived there or I was visiting someone. As I walked into the house, I was greeted by few people, their faces I cannot remember, but this was the point where it seemed like I was able to pretty much control what I could do and say. I walked around a bit, passing through the living room. Though no one was in there at the time, I felt a pull towards staying in there. After making my way into the kitchen and a few of back bedrooms, searching for something, I was back in the living room. As I passed in front of the couch, was pulled down onto the floor. It just so happened that it was Tupac. He had been laying there watching the t.v. I looked up at him and grabbed his cheeks, staring at him for a minute as if I couldn't believe he was actually there. Although, that's where I realized it was a dream. I ended up sighing softly and looked away, him tilting my chin up. That's when I spoke, saying, "I know you're not real, but why do you keep popping up in my head?" He simply laughed and replied, "Because, sweetheart, I'm coming back. Infact, I'll be back soon. Just keep your eyes open." I woke up after that. Sadly. I absolutely love his smile so it just kind of felt like I was ripped away when I wasn't ready. I just wish I knew what the heck it all meant.

    3. one of my earliest dreams from my childhood. Non lucid

      by , 08-27-2015 at 10:24 AM
I remember being in a fantasy land type setting. Like a city in the clouds. The buildings were like greek coliseums and pillars. There were some pillars that were similar to ruins, because just the pillars or columns were left standing.

In my dream I was being chased by a witch. She chased me all over this fantasy setting, and then chased me up a column or pillar, which is odd now that I think about the fact that I monkey climbed my way to the top of a magnificent pillar. The witch chased me all the way to the top and almost had me within her grasp. Then suddenly my father appeared in the dream and simply punched the fiend in the nose, and she instantly fell and crashed into the ground, and then my fears were lifted away.

      I then woke up
    4. Dreams in which I have free stuff in abundance .......aka cruel dreams or subliminal goals?

      by , 08-27-2015 at 09:42 AM
Ever have one of those cool dreams in which you randomly have some really cool stuff , and of course you are ecstatic about your freebies, and then wake up in disappointment?

I wanted to share some of my dreams on the topic.

I remember having a random dream when I was in grade school in the late 80's, early 90's. Video game rental stores used to be everywhere back in the day, and every grocery chain store had a video and video game rental section and my parents used to allow me and my brother to pick out a game to play for the weekend. We always chose our nintendo games carefully, so that we wouldn't accidentally get stuck with a crappy game for a few days.

I remember this dream in which I walked into the video game rental section with a shopping cart, and removed every game I could find and put them into my cart, and then joined my parents while they continued shopping. We then went home in the dream and I remembered that I had put all of those games that I took into my dresser drawer. When I woke up, the dream felt so vivid and real that I was almost convinced that I really had a drawer full of games, I looked and realized how silly I was for looking, and of course the drawer was empty, I had no games. Sad me huh.....

I had a similar dream when I was in high school, and then again when I was in my early 20's but in these dreams I had large sums of cash that I was hoarding. I had no idea where I had gotten the cash , nor what I would use it for, but I remember feeling such overwhelming relief in my dreams knowing that I now had a bunch of cash, and that now I wouldn't have to worry about money anymore. I soon woke up and figured out that it was all a dream.

      Cruel dreams or subliminal goals?

What kind of free stuff did you get in your dreams? I'm interested.

    5. Red Ferrari that thrills me in my dreams!

      by , 07-17-2015 at 12:29 PM
So I don't know if this would be considered lucid or more like partial lucid, but I had a dream last night that felt so real. I was somehow in possession of a red Ferrari sports car. This isn't the first time I have had a dream specifically about a red Ferrari. It has been 7-10 years since I last had a Ferrari dream. The dreams are always pretty much the same. Super happy that I have a Ferrari, although I have no clue it's a dream. I just do alot of driving, and for some reason this time around I thought it would be a good idea to loan the car to a friend of a friend (I know, its weird), and then somehow the car was lost and I went on a frantic search for the elusive crimson machine. I never found it, and then woke up. Last nights dream was the first time that I ever let anybody else drive the car. It's kinda humorous to me that it's always a Ferrari, and never any other type of super car.

      Niki Lauda would be proud!

    6. Corridors of Dreams

      by , 06-10-2015 at 04:03 PM
      This a weird one.

I met someone from a previous dream last night. She was sitting in her apartment, which I have no memory of entering, and did not appear in the least bit surprised to see me.

She told me that it's very rare for us to meet, as dreams take place in many worlds - so many that we were unlikely the exact same people who met in the previous dream despite the both of us having memories of interacting with each other. With this in mind she simply wanted to enjoy the pleasure of my company while she could, which we did: we talked and played and looked out of her window and generally just enjoyed being with each other for an indeterminate length of time. When time came for me to leave, I requested that we exchange details so that we might find each other later, which she agreed to despite acknowledging the futility of doing so.

      I can't remember her name.

It's difficult to describe this experience except that it felt like I was a non-lucid part of someone else's lucid dream , her lucid dream specifically. I was in my standard non-lucid haze, but she seemed entirely more in focus and more real.

After leaving her apartment, I found myself in what I'm going to call the Nexus: a long corridor of doors, somehow with the implicit understanding that each door lead to other dreams. If I were lucid I would have taken full advantage of the possibilities as I've been attempting to replicate a similar effect in what little lucid dreams I've actually had, but as the situation was, I just went directly for a door that felt vaguely familiar.

What was inside was a tortured, mutated, horrifying version of someone else I'd met. So I closed the door, and sometime later I woke up.
    7. A Dream Within a Dream

by , 04-21-2015 at 03:08 AM (Exploring My Mind)
The dream I remembered this past morning was awfully strange! It was a literal dream within a dream situation. Basically, I had a dream, then woke up from the dream into another non-lucid dream, and then finally waking up in reality. Here's how it went.
I was in the Bates Motel house with my girlfriend and we were witnessing the final events of one of the latest episodes play out in front of us. We watched it all non-phased, as if we had seen it before, but we were enjoying it nonetheless. (I won't go into the details of what happened just in case some of you watch that show and don't want to be spoiled).
Suddenly, I woke up from that situation. It seems it was a dream! I was in the parking lot of my girlfriend's workplace, having just dropped her off, but instead of heading to MY workplace, I had parked my car in the parking lot and fallen asleep. I checked my phone's clock...I WAS AN HOUR LATE!! Panic filled me as I quickly started my car and drove off towards my workplace.

And then, I woke up from THAT, only this time I was in my bed and in real life. I should've done a reality check in case of a false awakening, but I was too groggy and weirded out by the double dream to even remember to. Not a whole bunch recalled in either dream, but the situation of waking from one dream to another was interesting.

Long time no see, DV. With the IOSDP being dead and all, I've decided to post some DJs and hopefully get back into the swing of things. DV and lucid dreaming has helped me through rough times in my life, and I want to see what I can do.

I was going to note some of my goals for LDing here, but it's gettting late and the site was mean and logged me out when I was typing and didn't save anything.

LD: I am in a house that is somehow more bland and uninviting than a high school, with drab white walls. I already know I'm dreaming, but flicker the switch to make sure (which in hindsight wasn't the best idea). I walk outside, only to find lines of houses exactly similar to it. The sky is a dull gray. It's a perfect representation of boredom.

I decide to poke around a bit. Behind a fence, a pack of dogs appears that have always been the chasers in my dreams. I've suffered excruciating physical pain on their account., This time, however, I quickly fly away, leaving them confused on the ground.

At some point, when I stop flying, I land inside of a bathroom. I take a quick glance in the mirror. I seem to be dressed normally, inn a green tshirt and shorts as I always am in my dreams. I try to use the computer next to the sink, but it's running MS-DOS and constantly asking me for security questions. Everything blurs a little.

When I come to, I have the feeling that I'm being chased. I can't quite make out what it is. it seems to be purple, somewhat amorphous. There's a brick wall in front of me. I look up at the sky, and instinctively run up the wall. I wake up.

    9. Bringing Peace

by , 04-02-2015 at 11:43 AM (Exploring My Mind)
      Back at it again.

I was at a place (not sure what for) where we had to go on missions to kill Final Fantasy monsters for points. The monsters were big and tough, but we used magic and other means of fighting to kill them. It was quite a rush.
Afterwards, I hung out with my friend (whom I'll refer to as 'P'.) P was very sad, she seemingly lost her closest friend and lover.
To help make it up to her and to bring her some peace, I wrote her a letter from her lover (whom I'll call L). The letter was as heartfelt as I could make it, and upon giving it to her, L appeared out of no where and started hugging P and kissing her. The music around us got all somber, and for a moment, I felt like I might tear up.

Since it's been a while, not much was recalled here, but hopefully this is the start of plenty more.
    10. Recall is improving!

      by , 03-15-2015 at 12:27 PM
      Dream no 1:

I'm at my best friend's house, standing in front of a huge window, watching the neighbour have an unfortunate and uncontrollable bowel movement. I yell in disgust as my friend's two brothers laugh out loud. One points out that the cleaning crew from a nearby supermarket (Tesco) has arrived to clean up the mess. Lovely.

      Dream no 2:

Bill Paxton supplies my best friend and I with various equipment and gadgets, and well as kickass cars. For what purpose, I'm not too sure. I had noticed that if we misplaced or damaged our vehicle, he would provide us with an even better one. To this end, I brutally crashed the car into the wall of our house. Bill, furious, told us that we could now use our own two legs to get to places. For some reason which seemed incredibly logical at the time, me and the best friend (let's call her Isabelle) needed to go camping. This was directly linked to the fact that we no longer owned a car. After having discussed this with her, I went to my bedroom, and picked out the warmest clothes I could find, settling on a black hoodie and combat trousers. I packed a bag, filled it with what I thought I needed, slung it over my shoulder before heading out, closing my bedroom door behind me.

      Dream no 3:

Falling, falling, I hit the ground fairly violently. Standing up, I saw that I remained unhurt, save for the fact that I could no longer see out of my left eye. Panicking, I asked Isabelle's family if something was wrong with me. Upon seeing me, they all started shouting, saying that I needed to be brought to the hospital. I black out, and awake to all of them looking down at me, their faces very close to mine. They carry me to the car, intending to drive me to the hospital.

Sidenote: The fact that all these include Isabelle and her family make me wonder if all this wasn't in fact part of one massive dream, and I just forgot the bits that connected. Hmm...I don't know

I remember waking up to the sound of my alarm about 5 minutes before I had to actually get up.
I told myself that I would need to get about 2 more minutes of sleep then I would get up for school.

Upon awakening I got up and looked at my hand and I grew a 6th finger thats how I knew I was lucid. I Immediately ran down to the kitchen and hurled open the door, everything was getting fuzzy thus making me rub my hands together. Everything was stable. I looked across the street at the BMV and tried to throw a boulder at it, but it didnt work( this being my longest lucid dream , so I wasnt to sure what I was capable of yet ill be sure to take it in steps next time and not rush into anything ) At the next moment I tried to imagine myself flying , but my feet only gave me a gentle little hover before calmly fading back down to the pavement.

      Then I awoke.

I woke up a 4, struggled with recall, got nothing. I got up for about 5 minutes, did some state tests and set my intent to recognize my next dream. I went back to bed and practiced MILD. I tossed and turned for what seemed like a very long time. I checked my phone and the time was 4:58. I realized I still had an hour to sleep so I rolled over and tried to get to sleep. Almost immediately i felt the "sleep onset body buzz" and started to see some mild HI, mostly lights and simple patterns. The dream follows:

i am at a run down strip mall. most of the storefronts are abandoned and on my left. there is an ice cream shop at the far end of the stores. i am on my bike riding slowly. i see a woman who i think i know (middle school girlfriend all grown up?) drive by as a passenger in a silver sedan. i keep riding and ahead i notice the silver car drive off, the woman is not in it. the driver is an overweight man with round glasses, wearing a faded red tshirt. i ride past the ice cream shop and see the woman seated at a little round cement table at the end of the row of stores. i ride past her and make a little left turn , headed up a concrete switchback ramp. The ramp looks like it would lead up to a second level of the strip mall. I see the first turn in the switchback and know that i am dreaming. "im dreaming, im dreaming." i say i decide to ride into the wall, everything gets bright and clear, very defined, i wake up.

I rolled over and checked my phone, it was now 5:05. The interval between falling asleep and recognizing the dream was probably about 3 minutes! Unfortunately the dream was very short.

    13. Visited by a Beautiful Woman - Jan 28, 2015

      by , 01-30-2015 at 07:31 AM
Wake Back To Bed (WBTB) after 4 ½ hours of sleep. Read about lucid dreaming for a ½ hour. Said my mantras and then looked at pictures of what I wanted to dream about. Setup the pillows just right, got comfortable, and then i stayed perfectly still, while I relaxed my mind. My body went to sleep, but my mind was awake. After about 20 minutes of nothingness, except a faint glow, and the odd flashing blue and purple lights, I focussed on having a handful of pennies in my right hand. Slowly a stack of pennies appeared and I held it in my right hand. All else was black. Then I dropped the pennies, but they didn’t fall, so I grabbed them again. I kept repeating this until the pennies fell and scattered, then I reached down with both my hands and scoped them up, repeating the relaxation exercise until I slipped closer to the twilight zone. There was no sound.

I wasn’t dreaming yet, but I was having hypnagogic imagery. The pennies disappeared and I was no longer in control over what I was seeing. A dog kennel appeared in the blackness, and it started to rotate very slowly. I relaxed and kept my mind free of thoughts, and I simply observed. The kennel faded away and dark storm clouds appear, followed by a tornado, and I started to travel around the tornado bodiless (remote viewing). It was an eerie green color, and then it quickly cross faded into an amazing panoramic of space. Flickering little stars were everywhere, then I heard a woman say, “Aren’t you scared?” and replied, “No way! This is amazing. I love it!” I then started to travel through space, and it looked like the Enterprise going warp 9.5, then space ended, and I was once again in the darkness. Suddenly huge translucent cubes started to appear, and I traveled in a straight line right through them, and they were all connected. I heard a voice say, “You shouldn’t be here because this isn’t your reality.” I said, “Let’s keep going, this is cool!” Translucent cylinders started to appear mixed in with the cubic structure, but then I slipped into a dream, and lost conscious awareness.

I was standing in my childhood bedroom looking out the window (not lucid). The clarity was perfect, and everything was as the waking world. The big tree in the backyard had blown down, and the sky was cloudy and gray. A beautiful woman, in her 20’s, walked up behind me, and I turned to face her. I thought, “Who’s this beauty?” She had medium length, reddish, blonde hair, she was absolutely gorgeous, and her smile was stunning. We carried on some casual conversation, while I was thinking real hard about who she was, why she was in my bedroom, and why I felt like I knew her. I asked her name, but she wouldn’t tell me.

She turned around, stacked the pillows up on my bed, and then graciously sat against them. I sat at the base of the bed and said, “You know, I think I’ve seen you before, you were in the backyard, but your hair was longer.” She said, “No, that wasn’t me!” I said, “Really?” And she replies, “Yes that wasn’t me.” I looked at her very closely and said, “Yes, I know you from somewhere.” She smiled and happily replied, “This is marvellous! We’re having a really good conversation and visit. You’re lucid right now, right?” I thought, “What is she talking about? Lucid, I’m not lucid, this isn’t a dream, and how does she know I’m a lucid dreamer? Wait a second, maybe this is a dream?” I questioningly asked her, “What, am I lucid dreaming?” After saying that, I became lucid and then instantly woke up from the pure shock of it.

    14. Interesting Synchronicity/Confirmation Dream – Jan 4, 2015

      by , 01-20-2015 at 07:28 PM
In this dream I wasn’t lucid, but I thought it was an awesome synchronicity/confirmation that there is validity behind dreams. Here’s what happened:

In this non lucid dream I was at work, and a co-worker came up to me and gave me a phone number to call. I asked her to repeat it please because I didn’t catch it. Then the numbers appeared in front of me, and it looked like how they display lottery numbers. Well lit numbers were floating in the air right in front of me. It read 888-####. I immediately woke and wrote the numbers down in my dream journal. I figured, “Yes, I’ve been given some winning lottery numbers!” I interpreted this dream incorrectly.

A couple of days later we received a phone call on my wife’s cell. She said, “Somebody is calling me with the number 888-####. Should I answer it?” I immediately said, “Yes, answer it!”, because I remembered the #’s from my dream. It was Vice Principal of my daughter’s high school calling us on her cell. BTW – I had no prior knowledge of the VP’s cell #. She asked if we’d like to come and meet with an Interior Designer to review a design proposal for a ‘legacy wall’ for my daughter who had passed two years ago. We went to the school and reviewed the design, and it was way beyond our dreams, it was truly a great tribute to her life. Before we left the VP came up to me and said, “I wanted to call you, rather than you having to call us regarding the generous donations to the memory of your daughter.” It was a very emotional visit.
    15. A Beautiful Kiss

      by , 12-17-2014 at 12:59 AM
In this dream I was driving a semi-truck down a wet gravel road. The cab’s side, marker lights were getting covered with dirt, so I pulled over to wipe them off. As I was standing on the passenger side step, above the fuel tank, I noticed my reflection in the passenger door window. I was shocked at how young I looked, and how red my lips were. It seemed like I was wearing lip stick, and that in itself I found very odd indeed. This should have tipped me off that I was dreaming, but it didn’t, so I continued on with cleaning my marker lights.

Suddenly I felt a kiss on my left cheek, and saw my daughter in the reflection off the window. I looked behind me quickly to see her, but she wasn’t there. I looked back at the reflection in the window, and she was there. Then she kissed me again on my left cheek! I said her name, and then looked back, but she still wasn’t there. I was so surprised by this that I immediately woke
