      Dog Attack (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

      I was on top of a grassy hill in a public park with a fitness trainer. Apparently I was too fat, and needed to lose weight, so we had brought my dog with us for a run. I should have realised this was a dream, if anything I need to fatten up! We were taking a rest of top of this hill, and I commented on how peaceful it was with no-one around.
      "Usually this park is swarming with dogs," I said. Not ten seconds later, four sheep dogs, a rottweiler and numerous other breeds I didn't recognise came out of the trees at the bottom of the hill. I got up to put my dog on the lead, in case he got into a fight with another dog. I couldn't catch him, and as usual, he ran straight over to the other dogs to say hello. He's big, friendly and stupid, my dog, but unfortunately not all other dogs are the same. Two of them attacked him, and I ran over to try and pull them off. I was annoyed at myself for taking off my socks and shoes, because one dog kept biting my feet. I had to punch one dog in the head to get it off. Another one tried to bite my dog's ear off.
      I woke up with my heart pounding!

      Note: This is officially my 3rd WILD in a row! I can now safely say my dry spell is over! I didn't have any particular goals for tonight, so I ended up not focused on much of anything as I used my light / sound machine to meditate as I fell asleep, and I slipped into a WILD…

      I was in my own room still. I almost didn't recognize that I had passed from my waking self into a dream state. I got up and left the room, heading outside. It was daylight outside, so that was one key difference between the house in my inner world and the one in my waking life. I was lucid and dreaming. I wondered what I might do. I thought for a bit, and then I thought I might be thinking about it too much… I didn't want to lose the dream before it had even begun. After a bit more thought I remembered that Tigress and I are working on a project for our capstone in school, one big project that is supposed to demonstrate what we have learned in the past couple of years. That game started right at the U of A, so I would go there to start the walkthrough of the game. It would be much faster to fly than to walk, or even drive, so I took flight and headed in the direction I knew the U of A was located in.

      I landed on the street I have designated to be the setting of the beginning of the game Tigress and I are making. I focused for a bit, I closed my eyes and focused on manipulating the dream scene. I was in my own inner world, so this was not a difficult task. When I opened my eyes the area looked just like I had imagined the setting of the game would look. So now it was time to start playing. The street behind me, which was to the south, was blocked by road construction. There were holes and warning cones set around, and there was random construction equipment also blocking the way. That left one way for me to go. I headed to the north. I remembered there was supposed to be a hidden area off to the east, through a small opening in a fence. I went to that.

      The opening in the fence was there. I slipped through the opening and went down the alley behind the fence. There was a tall fence blocking access to a parking lot which would be out of bounds if the player were to go there, and there was a turn to the north shortly before the parking lot dead end. This was also a dead end, but there was a crate down there. The crate looked abandoned, next to a dumpster. I went to check it out. There was some stuff in the crate. When I looked in it, strangely enough I found there were some energy drinks in it. Many of the cans were broken open, which was probably why the crate had been discarded… but I found a couple that were intact. I slipped those into my backpack. This was the first time I really noticed I had a backpack on, but it made sense since I was a college student and I would need to carry stuff… Now that I had found the hidden items, I returned to the main street and continued walking around.

      A bit farther to the north on the main street there was more construction. That effectively sealed off this section of road. There was nowhere for me to go from there. So I had to turn around and head back. I knew where I needed to go to trigger the next part of the game, I just wanted to look around a bit more. I had seen all there was to see here, however. I went over to the bus stop near the center of the section of the street, right across the street from the hidden passage through the fence. When I got there it triggered the next phase of the game.

      The sky, which had been bright and blue, seemed to darken even though there were no clouds. Everything around me seemed to get darker, actually. There had been birds singing, but now those went silent. In fact, all of the ambient noises I had been hearing were now gone. The sounds of birds singing, of the wind in the trees, of traffic in the distance… now it was as quiet as the grave. And this area was beginning to look quite creepy. I felt a chill run down my back consistent with what the character might be feeling. I saw, or maybe sensed is a better word, movement behind me. I turned quickly and saw a robed man standing there with a sinister grin on his face.

      "Did you really think we wouldn't find you?" he asked, "Well you were wrong. We have eyes and ears everywhere. You should have known it was just a matter of time. You'll be coming with me, now. Or, of course, if you resist we could do this the hard way…"

      "Who the hell are you?" I asked the strange man, "And what are you talking about? I'm not going anywhere with you!" I had an instinctive knowledge that if I went with him it would mean big trouble.

      "I thought you might say that," the man said, "That is disappointing. It is unfortunate, but when you weren't willing to cooperate, my men were forced to kill you." He made a gesture to the trees off to my right, which were now enshrouded in a strange fog, giving the area the same kind of creepy atmosphere I had seen in Silent Hill video games… Shapes moved in the fog and then emerged. There were four men in black hooded robes. They quickly surrounded me, cracking their knuckles.

      "When the deed is done," the first man said to the four around me, "make sure you take anything of value off of her. This will look like a simple mugging where multiple assailants robbed this poor young college student, brutally beating her to death in the process. And you must make absolutely certain that she is beaten to DEATH. There will be no repeat of your last failure."

      I had let myself get into character, so now I felt definite fear for my life. These four goons weren't small men by any stretch, they had me surrounded, they had orders to beat me to death, and they looked quite eager to carry out those orders. I looked around quickly to see if there was anyone around that might help me… but there was no one there… at least no one I could see through the fog… maybe I could slip between them and escape? That was my only chance… The space between two of them was slightly larger than the space between the others, so I made a quick break for that. I never had a chance of making it. One of the goons grabbed me suddenly and violently pulled my arms behind my back, holding them there. Apparently the idea was that one would hold me while the others did the beating. I tried to pull free of the man behind me, but he was too strong… there was nothing I could do…

      "This is gonna be fun," the goon directly in front of me said as he approached me. All I could do was pray the end came swiftly… but no. As the man pulled his right arm back to throw the first punch, I found myself reacting on instinct somehow. Moving my body in such a way as to gain leverage, I bent over and flipped the man behind me over my head and threw him into the one in front of me. Both of them went tumbling to the ground. My first thought was still on escaping… so I tried to run for it again. One of the other two men grabbed my arm as I tried to get away. Acting completely on instinct, I turned around and kneed him in the crotch really hard. He doubled over in pain, grabbing his aching privates. I brought my elbow down hard at the base of his skull, knocking him instantly out cold. I turned and intercepted another of the men coming at me. There was another one coming at me from the other direction. I took advantage of the situation and grabbed their heads, slamming their two heads together. Both of them were out cold. The last man was more hesitant to approach me. But he finally did… and he met up with my foot to his face. I did a roundhouse kick just like I have seen Chuck Norris do countless times, but I had never imagined myself doing one… Not only did I do it, I did it well. My foot made contact with his face with surprising force, knocking him back onto the ground, also out cold.

      The one first man to arrive, who was clearly the leader, was not pleased. He was glaring at the four men on the ground. One of them was regaining consciousness… The leader went over to the one goon regaining consciousness and helped him to his feet.

      "You have failed me for the last time," the leader said to the goon. He pulled out a knife he'd had hidden in his robes and stabbed the goon in the gut. The look of shock on the goon's face turned to one of pain as the leader slowly and deliberately twisted the knife. He pulled the knife out, letting the goon fall to the ground, bleeding and clutching the wound. I got ready for the leader to attack me now… but he didn't. Instead he motioned and four more goons came out, these ones were armed. They had nunchucks that had blades on one end of them…

      "So it won't look like a typical mugging…" the leader said, "I don't care! Kill her!"

      I was wondering how my newly discovered martial arts skills would match up against these guys… I would soon find out. They were surrounding me again, but now someone else arrived. This man was dressed somewhat different than the others, and he was apparently on his own. He threw a sword to me. I hesitated and was about to ask a question.

      "There's no time for questions," he said, "Just fight!" I had no choice but to fight. And now I was discovering that I had instinctive skills with the sword, too. My skills with the sword proved to be more than the enemies could stand up to. Between the new arrival and me, we quickly took care of things. But this time I hadn't just knocked the enemies out… I had killed them. After the fight was over, I was staring at the dead men, more than a bit disturbed by how easily it had come to me to kill them… I had never killed anyone in my life, and now I had killed two of them… but I'd had no choice… I noticed that the fog had lifted, and the place was no longer creepy… except for the dead people.

      "Come on," the man who had helped me said, "We have to get out of here!"

      "What the fuck is going on?!" I asked.

      "There's no time," he said, "Malum just left… he will surely be back with more everto… we have to get out of here!"

      "Malum?" I asked, confused, "Everto? What the…"

      "There's no time!" the man insisted, "The Ascendentae will answer all your questions, but you have to come with me! It is no longer safe here!" The man opened a portal and I followed him through…

    3. Darth vader, The continental theme park and the Planetside Television Kill. [Non-Lucid]

      Not a lucid dream, but still pretty weird!

      I was with a group of planetside soldiers, flying in a ship through mist. Eventually, we landed on a metallic construction like a large H with landing pads on each end of the H. Climbing out, I saw that we were in a low valley, with a grass floor sloping down. As we all ran down towards the exit of the valley, we came to an obstacle course based on all of the worlds countries. All I can clearly remember is that I got stuck on the windmill - rope - bridge, but eventually I got out and met up with the rest of the squad. We then drove in 'Lightning' rapid assault tanks towards a second valley, this time leading up. When we reached the top, we noticed a Store built into the cliff face. Curious, we walked up to it and were met by a smiling old couple, who invited us in and gave us food. But then, the news came! They were actually going to turn us in to some kind of evil warlord! The two old people ran off into a nearby sci-fi metal tunnel, and I gave chase, eventually cornering the woman who was actually an evil spirit in disguise! (seriously, my dreams really are this weird - and no, I dont do drugs ) Anyway, drawing my trusty Vanu blade, I activated its energy beam function, when it turned into a television. Yeah... Well, seeing no other options, I attacked the evil spirit / woman with the silver TV and Killed her, her shadow getting sucked into the screen. At this point the dream became confused, until I seemed to be floating behind darth vader, who was tring to escape past our troops in the valley. Oh, and he was armed with a bow and arrow. well, he did some metal gear style sneaking, and eventually made it to the ship, which was behind one of the H's pillars. He shot an arrow into a lone sentry's side, and then I woke up.

      I really need to let up on the Planetside XD
    4. 06/22/10 Fragmented Memories

      *Tower Defense*
      I was on top of a tower. There were four of us there, and one of the other three was Tigress. I didn't recognize the other two people, but they were men. The tower was circular and quite tall. I could see far out over the surrounding area, which included a cleared meadow area and then a thick forest. The meadow was too circular to have been natural, so I figured it had been cleared to provide a defendable area. The four of us were covering all four directions from the tower. Tigress was on my right. We all had bows and arrows. Enemies were storming the tower. We were picking them off with our arrows. The enemies were firing arrows back, but it was proving harder for them to get their arrows up to the top of our tower than it was to shoot arrows down from the tower at them. I was surprised at my own accuracy. I glanced to my right and saw Tigress was also picking off enemies with deadly accuracy. The fight continued for a while, and was actually rather boring. The enemies seemed to be slowing down, and it was shortly after picking off the last enemy and seeing there were no more enemies coming that I woke.

      *What Goes Around Comes Around*
      I was in a subway tunnel. I was walking along the walkway at the side of the tunnel. The path was there for maintenance purposes. I saw there was a subway intersection ahead where two tracks merged into the one. There was a young man on the path with me. He was using a hot glue gun to form words on the wall of the subway tunnel. The words were not very visible, but they would be raised off of the wall slightly. He was doing that when another young man came over and got all kinds of pissed off at him for that. The second man grabbed the glue gun from the one who had been using it on the wall. The second man shoved the hot glue gun in the first man's mouth and pulled the trigger, filling the first man's mouth with hot glue. The first man's cries of pain were muffled. The second man kept adding hot glue until it covered both the first man's mouth and nose, then he dropped the first man onto the ground and watched him suffocate. The killer laughed and kicked the victim a few times as the victim suffocated. The killer headed down the path towards the intersection. He stepped out to cross to the other side of the intersection. Right as he was in the intersection, two speeding subway cars, single subway cars, collided there in the intersection and crushed the killer between them… The car operators somehow got out of there uninjured, there was no one else on board either car… only the killer had been killed. Well that was karma for you…

      *Metallica's New Member*
      I was at a Metallica concert. I had a ticket to get in. I went inside the arena. It wasn't a very large arena, and I felt I was very fortunate to have gotten a ticket. I went to find my seat, but my seat sucked. I thought maybe I could find another seat that hadn't been filled. Maybe someone had been unable to attend. I walked through the seats and saw most of them were filled. The concert was about to start. I saw an empty seat. I sat down, it was only five rows from the stage. The concert started, and it was loud. I watched as the band members came out on stage. Lars Ulrich was on drums, James Hetfield was on guitar and singing, Kirk Hammett was on guitar, and then the fourth member came out… and it was MoSh! I did a double take! Wow! MoSh had joined a band! And not just any band, he was now the fourth member of Metallica! I thought that was awesome, I would have to congratulate him after the show. And this meant I know one of the members of Metallica! I could meet the rest of the band, too! I was so excited while I watched the concert. MoSh was rocking! He did a solo part way through the concert… my only thought was wow! The concert ended, and I was headed to the entrance to back stage to see about talking to MoSh, I told the bouncer to just tell MoSh that Raven was there to see him. The bouncer didn't believe me, but I saw MoSh back there and he waved at me, telling the bouncer to let me through.

      *Winter in June?*
      I was in my normal house. I left the house to go get the mail. The ground outside was covered with snow! In spite of the fact I live in a desert and this is the middle of summer, I didn't think to do a RC in response to the snow. I threw a couple of snowballs at a large cactus. I threw a few at the house. I hit my mother with one of them. She was not pleased. She told me to stop messing around and go get the mail. For some reason our mailbox was so far away I would have to drive to get there. I left the house in my car. It really was a long ways to the mailbox. I drove down a couple long streets and made several turns before I realized I was hopelessly lost. I figured things must look too different being covered with snow… and so I wasn't recognizing the place. I didn't want to admit to anyone that I had gotten lost when looking for my own mailbox… so I kept looking for it, and I figured to explain why it took so long I would just tell everyone I had gotten stuck in the snow.
    5. 06/22/10 Dungeon Rescue

      … so I figured to open a portal to get MoSh and myself back to my inner world… where he said he would take a look at the locked book from the Akashic records to see if he could help me get it open… (Continued from last entry…)

      MoSh and I were in my inner world in my bedroom. I looked around and picked the book up off of my chest of drawers. I looked at the book for a couple of minutes. I remembered that MoSh and Tigress have said they would help me figure out how to open the book. I handed it to MoSh, and he looked at it for a few minutes. He set it on the bed and pointed at it with his pinky. I wasn't sure what he was trying to do, but I left him to do that. Tigress had also said she would help… but she wasn't here. Maybe I should go find her. I was thinking about finding Tigress when I felt like I was going to wake up. But I didn't want to wake up yet, I was on a roll with this nice long WILD. I wanted to know how long I could make it. Wait… it was another goal of mine to attempt time dilation. I would do that quickly before I woke, and maybe I would be able to extend the dream!

      My plan was to try Allura's method of time dilation. I figured MoSh would try Walms' method, and then we could determine which one works best. I figured I would have to try both to find which one works better for me… but for now, Allura's method. Her method starts with visualizing or summoning a normal analog clock, a digital one will do no good. So I focused on that clock.

      Soon I could see the clock clearly in my mind. I didn't figure there was any need to summon one, actually I thought that might make it harder. The next step is to increase the amount of time that will fit on the clock by compressing all 12 hours into half the space, then filling the empty half with 13 through 24. At this point the clock displays twice as much time as is normally displayed on it. The resultant clock will look like the 24 hour clock shown here.

      Since 24 hours are now compressed into the space normally used by 12, this works out to a time dilation of 2 hours of dream time for each 1 hour of IWL time. I focused on using this technique, first vividly visualizing the 12 hour clock and then gradually compressing the time on the clock until it was a 24 hour clock. I continued compressing time until 48 hours fit on the clock. That should be 4 hours of dream time for every hour of IWL time. I didn't know for sure if it was working, but I did notice that the dream had stabilized. So maybe that meant I could call the time dilation of this dream a success? Either way, this dream was going to continue.

      Since Tigress had offered to help me with the locked book, my next thing to do would be to find her. I focused on opening a portal to find Tigress. A portal opened. I went to tell MoSh I was going to find Tigress, but MoSh was gone. The book was still on the bed, still locked. I wondered if MoSh had woken up. I wondered if he had discovered anything before waking up… I figured I would have to wait until the next morning and find out if he remembered anything. I went through the portal I had opened to find Tigress…

      On the other side of the portal I was in a green field. There was a fight going on not far from us. There were a bunch of people dressed in red robes fighting another person… it looked like one person against a large number. I wondered what was going on there, and I also noticed the single person seemed to be winning. I headed closer to the fight to see if I could figure anything out. I saw that I recognized the single fighter. It was a woman who looked like a paladin from the Dungeons and Dragons Online game, and I recognized that paladin! It was Tigress! Ok, it appeared that if I wanted Tigress' help with anything I would have to help her out first. This looked like the making of a DDO adventure, so I really wanted her to remember this one.

      I went over to Tigress, and called to her. She briefly noted me, and continued fighting. I formed Witchblade into a sword and attacked the enemies. I wasn't sure why they were fighting, but I figured Tigress' enemies were my enemies. I engaged the enemies, fighting with my Witchblade sword, blocking attacks, cutting enemies down all around me… with both Tigress and me fighting, it didn't take long before the entire enemy force was taken down. A few remaining enemies fled across the field to a forest. I put my Witchblade sword away and greeted Tigress. I asked her if she was lucid. She said it was finally happening, we were sharing a DDO dream. I agreed that was awesome… what's the quest? She said that there were some people being held captive in the mountain dungeon, and our quest was to rescue them. I said that sounded like a good quest to me! Tigress and I headed across the field towards a mountain. I could see a cave in the mountain, and that was no doubt our destination.

      Tigress and I reached the cave entrance in short order. Sure enough, there were more red robed people inside the cave. They were guarding a locked door, but once we killed them, we found a key on one of them and were able to get inside the cave. Beyond the door it was more of a dungeon than a normal cave. There were long halls and large chambers. There were enemies all around, and they all attacked us on sight. Some of them attacked with melee weapons such as swords and maces, others attacked us with projectile weapons such as arrows and darts, and there were even some that were attacking us with energy attacks. We fought the enemies, taking them out quickly as we progressed through the caverns. We searched the underground complex for a while and finally found the entrance to the main dungeon. There were more enemies down there, of course, and there were numerous prison cells.

      We killed the enemies that waited for us there, and then investigated the prison cells. In each of the prison cells there was a single prisoner. The prisoners were humanoid in form, covered with fur, had fluffy tails, and there was a flap of skin between their arms and their legs that looked kind of like the 'wings' of a flying squirrel.

      The prisoners were all chained and hanging upside down from the ceiling, dangling about a foot off of the floor. They looked badly beaten, badly injured. It looked like they had been beaten, burned, cut… Allison and I got the prisoners down by cutting through their chains. I did a healing spell on the injured prisoners, and then they were ok to get themselves out of the dungeon. We assured them all the enemies in the upper chambers were dead, and the prisoners headed for the exit. We finished releasing all of the prisoners in the prison cells. We went into the next room and found a nightmare…

      In the next room there were more enemies, and they had several prisoners in that room, too. One of the enemies had a prisoner tied to a spit and had them hanging over a fire. He was rotating the spit around as if cooking a chunk of meat, but the prisoner tied to the spit was still alive, and already showing signs of serious burns all over her body. Another enemy had a prisoner chained to the wall and was whipping the prisoner violently, blood spraying off with every lash. A third prisoner was chained to a concrete slab and covered with blood, there were several rats chewing on the prisoner's body… a fourth had a noose around her neck and was positioned so her toes barely touched the ground… so as long as she could stand on her toes she would be able to avoid strangling to death… There were four enemies standing around, and they attacked us on sight. We had to fight those four enemies and then the ones who had been torturing the prisoners. We freed and then healed the prisoners, who then headed for the surface, leaving the dungeon quickly.

      Tigress and I were now in the torture chamber alone, only dead bodies were there now. I felt like I should be looking for a reward chest and then recalling back to the surface… but this wasn't an actual DDO game! Tigress looked around one more time, apparently making sure that we hadn't missed anything. She came back over to me. I asked if she was going to remember this dream. She said we were playing DDO. I said yeah, but we were playing DDO in a dream. So she would have to remember the dream when she woke up. She said she would remember this when she logged off. Logged off? I repeated that it wasn't a game… it was a dream. She said she was going to log off now. She disappeared. Wtf? She must have woken up… crap. I started feeling like I was waking up… but I could dilate time! I didn't have to wake up at all, or at least not until I was good and ready to! I could spend as long as I wanted in a dream! I tried to focus on Allura's method of time dilation again, but between the excitement at the idea I could stay in a dream as long as I wanted and the fact I was already in the process of waking up, I was not able to focus and I woke.

      There's that familiar transition.

      I open my eyes. Cold white light is streaming in from my bedroom window, as the thin brown curtains fail to do their job. Lifting myself out of bed, I notice something odd on the ceiling. The shadows on the dirty eggshell-colored drywall. . . They're moving! At that revelation, the shadows--an Aztec-esque shaman and a blocky curled snaked--broke themselves off from the wall, joined together into one formless mass, and shot out into the hallway.

      Weird.

      Making my way through the house, toward the front door, I wonder what that was all about. Closing my hand around the gold painted doorknob, I open the large metal door before me, revealing my sun-soaked court. But something is off with the lighting. Everything seems. . . lifeless. It's as if all warmth had left my neighborhood long ago. I didn't know what to make of it.

      Lifting myself off the ground, I fly to the center of my court, contemplating what I want to accomplish. With no goals lined up, I figure I'll just try to crash someone's dream world. That's when I hear it. A visceral scream tears through my court, originating from a neighbor's house across the ways. Turning my head, I look just in time to see the woman who had screamed smash against her front window. As she drops out of sight, I know behind that blood drenched glass lurks the Monster from before.

      Reaching out with my TK, I try to pull it from the house, but I can't get a lock. Yet, despite my failure, the Shadow Monster doesn't take long to exit the house of its own accord. Smoothly flowing through the air above me, it pay me no mind as it makes its way back toward my residence. Like hell I'm letting that slide. Let's see how this thing likes a little bit of pure energy blasted through its core.

      Taking a stance, I position my hands by my side, preparing to let loose a Kamehameha Wave. Not wanting to tip it off, I say the chant internally, feeling the charge building between my hands. Unfortunately, when I go to release it all in a throat wrenching shout, nothing happens. The Shadow Monster stops dead in its tracks, and speedily reverses direction, darting straight at me. Fully enveloping me in darkness, I realize there's nothing I can do to this. . . thing. Panic washes over me, but before everything fades to black I let loose a piercing cry for assistance that echoes not just through my city, but around the world and, I can't help but think, beyond.

      No one came to my aid.

      The ringing and spinning cease.

      I RC just to confirm it. Yeah, I'm dreaming. My room is about as messy as it is IWL. Why is everything so freaking dark? I slide out of bed, not really caring if I step on anything. As I do, I spot a dark shadow shoot across the corner of my eye. Goddammit, I think as I hurry downstairs, this isn't what I wanted to deal with. Luckily, whatever that was doesn't follow me. Unluckily, there are more in the house.

      That fucking Shadow Monster has probably been having his way with this place since the last time I was here. . . Sure enough, as I exit my house and fly into my court, I am met with a disturbing sight. A heavy darkness fills the air, as I look upon that nightmarish sky. I cannot properly describe the hellish glow emanating from parts of the smooth, gigantic, wispy black cloud that covers the entire sky. It is almost as if the atmosphere is in a slow burn.

      Flying to the center of my court, I start to freak out. She's got to check this out. There's no way this is normal. I call for Raven,but realize she's still awake at this hour. It is then I become aware of a presence behind me. I draw my blade, and flip around, but whatever it was follows my movements perfectly and remains behind me. I turn around, faster this time. Still no luck.

      While I can't see whatever it is directly, I do manage to switch perspectives, and am now viewing the shadows on the ground. The thing behind me was clearly a human female, but gender doesn't mean anything to me. I calm myself, center my focus, and relax the tension in my muscles. Then, I close my dream eyes, still remaining watchful of the shadows on the asphalt below.

      She hesitates for a moment, obviously surprised by the sudden change in my emotional state, but that only lasts a moment before she lunges for me in an animalistic fashion. Without turning, I bring my sword up over my body, twist over backwards, and with one hand thrust it into her, all faster than the human eye can see. Her primal cry echoes across the neighborhood.

      From there, the dream progresses in an odd fashion. I find that the woman I had just injured has only come to see what kind of warrior I am. To some capacity, she claims to be real, and says she was sent by friends. I spent a good deal of time after that trying to heal her up. I'm not skilled enough to close the wounds well enough with energy alone, so I just sew them up with TK and some special stitching material I materialize on the spot. I wake up soon afterwards.

      My weapon was complete. An M9 Combination Pistol-Laser Gun bound to a Derringer with much the same function. It was time to leave our safe-hold and venture across the woodland to a new home. As soon as the large metal blast doors open, we run for it.

      I'm barely keeping up with my ragtag group of survivors, as we do our best to stay out of sight of the larger predators, like that T-Rex over there. Unfortunately, the raptors spot us. Running for our lives, we open fire on the raptor pack as we dart around trees and jump over deep trenches. I unload an entire clip into the heads of two of them, bringing them down. Then we hear it. . .

      "Shit!" our leader shouts over the blood curdling screech, "Mecha Raptor on our six!"

      But it's already on top of us. To specific, it's on top of me. I shove my gun into its metal mouth as it tries to chomp on my head. I let off some rounds, but it's not having any effect. It opens it jaws and tries again, but I jam my gun in again, this time using the high powered laser beam. The laser quickly melts through the plastic insides of the green Mecha Raptor's throat. It dies on top of me, spilling the hot molten plastic onto my stomach, painfully scalding me. My group works together to push it off me, and soon enough we're on the move again. . .

      I guess one could call this a nightmare, but it didn't quite start out like that.

      I woke up on the top of a bunk bed in a tiny plain hotel room. The flooring was dark, pale blue carpet, and there was a hotel-sized white-paned window on the other side of the room. I caught the false awakening and momentarily became a bit lucid, but it didn't last.

      I got up from the bunk bed and went down the stairs. There was no one else in the room, but there was an open door leading to the main part of the booked hotel room (where the fridge and chairs are). I peered out and knew I wasn't supposed to be here. I saw a man with a black t-shirt and blue jeans sitting at a small round wooden table, drinking from a mug. He looked slightly scuffed up, although not much. He also looked fairly strong, like someone who'd just gotten back from the gym.

      He saw me right away. "Hello," he told me, rather normally. "Don't be shy. Come out and I'll make you some breakfast."

      I decided to play stupid and say, "I have to get dressed first." There must have been a suitcase or something of clothing in the room, because he said, "sure". I went into the room, closing the door, and found a small shopping bag filled to the top with clothes, but I wasn't actually going for them. I was going for anything that could help me escape.

      My gaze flit around the room and I saw a coach purse, exactly like the one I own in real life. It had a very long strap that I could use to climb down the side of the hotel.


      I looked out the hotel window, clutching the purse, and saw that our room was situated at least thirty floors up. The strap didn't even go half the distance to the ground. Crap!

      Suddenly, the man walked into the room and froze when he saw me by the window with the purse. "What are you doing?" he asked me.

      "Getting out of here," I shot back at him. I made a run for the door, went through it, and he didn't do anything to stop me. He pulled out a long, silver knife instead. I looked back as I ran out the door and into the hotel hallway; he was watching me calmly with the knife in his hand. I didn't look back as I ran down the stairs to the lobby.

      There were only one or two sets of stairs and already I was on the first floor...? Anyways, I got there and no one was in sight, but there was a phone at the reception desk. I took it and crazily tried to dial 911. The man suddenly appeared, slipping around the corner and holding the phone box. "You're crazy!" I shouted to him. The machine rang and then a voice answered. "I'm being kidnapped and threatened with a knife!" I told the woman on the other line. "Help me, I'm-"

      I couldn't get an address out, because the man found the phone outlet and unplugged it, then cut the cord with his knife. I gaped and backed away from him rather quickly. "Don't leave," he told me forcefully.

      I took one more step back and my foot landed on a gun. My eyes widened even more (is that even possible?) and I reached down and picked the gun up. It was dark gray, almost black, and heavy. It was loaded. "Back the f*** up!" I told him, looking for the exit. Suddenly he reached into his pocket and pulled out his own gun. I shot him in the chest, killing him instantly. His eyes began to bleed and there were bruises appearing all over his body. He was still standing up straight but his eyes were closed, and he was completely still. Then another person, looking very much like him, appeared with the same ghastly imagery. It frightened me so much I woke up.

      110: 6.16.10; 9:52AM BREAKING NEWS: Police Arrest Off-Duty Officer, and the Minotaur is Dead! (MILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

      I had a rather lengthy lucid dream, of which I will relay two parts to ensure the details I provide are accurate and interesting.

      I was at the end of my driveway (a recurring location in my dreams), and saw three police trucks speeding on the road, coming to a fast stop in front of my driveway gate, lights flashing in the warm daylight, arranged in such a way as to surround a black SUV, now stopped along with the police vehicles on the road. The police got out of their vehicles with shotguns drawn and aimed at the SUV. I put up my hands to show that I was there and didn't intend to interfere, but figured that as I was standing next to my gate behind a couple trees, I really didn't need to have my hands up like the man who was exiting the SUV, and stepped a little behind my gate to watch the events unfold.

      The man stepped out of the SUV, a well-built man with dark clothing and a shaved head - certainly not a person to be screwing around with. His hands were still up as he got to the hood of his car and leaned over it, as the cops wanted. One of the officers drew a rifle that resembled the shotguns the others had, and shot the man in the chest three or four times. He fell to the pavement with no visible wounds, leading me to the conclusion that it was a kind of stungun, with non-piercing rounds.

      The officers surrounded him, allowing just enough visibility of the man for me to see that he himself was wearing a dark blue jacket with police patches all over the sleeves and shoulders. I figured I'd see it in the next day's newspaper, seeing as he was an off-duty officer who's arrest I'd just witnessed. One officer looked over at me and said something, which I only took to mean that they were okay with me standing there close by, watching. They took the man away and the dream transitioned.


      A while later into my dream, I was in an all-wooden room on a structure made of poles, almost like bamboo coloured a rich brown. I wasn't alone within this structure - I was fighting a minotaur.
      Yes, I know, it's awesome! This minotaur was a giant, agile skeleton with great horns affixed to the skull, with one nasty temper. He knew the structure well, a multi-level scaffold with no walls, since the structure was encased in an enormous and tall room.

      He wasn't at all shy about flaunting his knowledge of the room's layout. He expertly raced about each level to get to me, forcing me to find ways to move up to higher levels to stay at least one floor away from the skeletal beast. My movement took me to a very high level of the structure, achieved by flying with my signature arms-shot-straight-up flying method through square holes I found in each level's floor, almost as if there was supposed to be a ladder for each, and of course, the minotaur was close below me. I knew what I could do at this point to stop him once and for good, and I let him reach my level.

      He reached this floor quickly, and stared me down with a nasty smile - well, as much as a skeletal minotaur's human-shaped skull could muster - and proceeded to approach me with a slow walk. He was visibly smaller than his regular size, now matching my height. I would use this to my advantage: I drew him closer to me, and positioned myself behind the square hole in the floor, watching the minotaur walk toward me in a perfect linear fashion. He stepped into the hole and slipped down, both feet first.

      I leaned over the hole and watched with a smile as the (relatively) miniature skeleton fell several stories to the floor and crash-landed on his back. Upon impact he returned to his full and giant size, leaving only his chest and skull (with those giant horns, now coloured rich brown like the wood surrounding me) visible from where I stood. I believe I saw some bones flying off him when he'd smashed into the floor, but he appeared now to be a perfect, flawless, unmoving skeleton. With horns.

      Note: This was another lucid dream induced through simply requesting to have one prior to going to sleep. Is this enough to call it a MILD, even without RCs?

      85: 5.2.10; 12:05PM Part 2: Mental Institution in the Old West. (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

      I'm out at a Burger King with a friend who works at McDonald's, so we decide to make a scene and run off.

      I wind up back at my mom's house and see Sarah leaving, and I start looking around the house and leaving some items in hidden places that I'd removed from the premises earlier.

      The dream transitions again and I'm in what appears to be a mental institution combined with a hospital, and I'm talking with a woman who is very thankful for my kindness and for talking with her. I walk down the long room and through the doorway when I hear her ask, "Who are you?" I turn back and after a moment's thought, reply, "I'm just trying to help everyone."

      In the next room I discover, and one of the mentally unstable patients is out in the street below
      (this dream takes place on the second floor, and the town is looking every bit like an old Western town, by the way) with a shield and sword, and apparently requested a fight with me. Others in the room aim their rifles toward the window to shoot down at him, but I tell them to lower their weapons, that I'd fight him myself. I wake up before the fight starts.
    12. School Beat Down (Fragment)

      Location: Science wing of my high school

      I was walking towards my science class when a kid in my school walked out of the room. He started walking toward me and stopped about 15 feet away. He then ran at me, trying to punch me. I dodged it easily and pushed the arm he punched with away while tripping him and pushing my fingers into his nerves in his neck (the thing you do to annoy the heck out of people). I had seen it many timeson T.V. so it's cool that it transfered into my dreams, and this wasn't lucid . He fell to the ground and held his neck for a second, then got right back up and charged at me again. He attempted to punch me yet again but instead I grabbed his arm, spun around and flipped him over my back so that he was laying infront of me. He rolled over on his back and appeared to be in pain. I then walked away while he layed there and a group that had formed around us started to disperse.

      (Dream skipped here) Later that day another one of my friends walked over to me and said, "Hey, Ricky I heard you beat up Tyler earlier." I replied, "Yea, but he came at me first."
      Which was when I woke up.

      This dream would've been longer but I couldn't remember it when I woke up and it suddenly came to em in the middle of a final so I probably forgot a little bit more of it in the 2 hours since then

      My brother explodes in a puff of flame and smoke, leaving behind two flaming eyes that fizzled out after a moment or two.

      "Burmes? Is that you?"

      "Yes," states a disembodied voice.

      "Oh, okay. Hey, can you help me find Walms?"

      There was a pause before he replied. "Yeah, sure."

      "Cool, thank you."

      I Teleport away, letting Burmes guide the new scene. I end up in an open outdoors setting with none other than Walms standing a good distance away. He turns as I make my appearance, eyeing me strangely, almost as if he were sizing me up. "It's me, Walms! Mzzkc!"

      "Oh, good job on finding me. . . We can start when you like."

      "Very well." I say cooly, taking a stance and drawing my Katana.

      Immediately, I turn on the pressure. Teleporting close to him, but well out of arms reach, I make a quick swipe, which he readily evades. Before he can do anything else, though, I Teleport again, and make another lightning quick attack, but am foiled a second time. TP, this time he's got claws out to block my thrust and follow up with his own attack, which I deflect before TPing yet again. This goes on for a good six or seven seconds, with me TPing, attacking, and defending about three or four times each second. The attacks themselves are varied and range from basic slash and thrust combinations to much more complex sword-work. Still, neither of us can can land a hit.

      Without warning, Walms launches into the air. I'm quick to follow, purposefully dropping my blade as I do. Before he can reach altitude, I start charging a Kamehameha, chanting the telltale phrase that goes along with it. Walms immediately stops, turns, and Teleports directly below me, but that's just what I wanted. Using a Time Skip, so he doesn't have a chance to react, I change it up and deliver a huge downward arcing punch that instantly makes contact (thanks to the Time Skip). He looks visibly surprised as he plummets down to earth.

      "I don't have to follow what I say I'm gonna do." I taunt, playfully, before TPing below Walms and Time Skipping a huge uppercut into his gut. This time he's ready, though, and makes a grab for my arm, so I TP away from him and follow him as he shoots back up into the air from the force of my blow. He rights himself quickly enough and speedily starts closing the relatively small gap between us. I start charging a real energy blast this time, but I screw it up as Walms tries for another grab. He rebukes me, commenting on my attempts at an actual energy attack, as I avoid his assault and Flash Step away, closer to the ground.

      Still moving, I start charging another energy attack, but he's on top of me without warning, and now I don't have a prayer of getting away. So, I do the next best thing and direct a blast of energy at the ground, causing a massive explosion that envelops me and blasts him away.

      Unfortunately, as the light of the explosion overtakes me, I lose my hold on the dream, and enter into a FA. I quickly get up, go to my laptop, and record the events. After publishing it, Walms responds almost instantly, saying he remembers the fight, and very much enjoyed it, pointing out how good the pacing and flow was.

    14. Knockout

      This dream began with me being inside a community-type building. The walls in the building were made of a rosy, slightly yellow brick, as depicted in the image below, with the floor being a lighter eggshell blue, like in a hospital setting. I know there were signs on the walls and overhanging on the ceiling, also like in a hospital, but I cannot recall what they said or even what they were about.


      I was walking down a wide hallway in the building, and I suddenly saw the sign for a restroom. I immediately took that route, as I had to fix up my hair or something; however, I can't remember what exactly the reason was. I turned to the left into a narrow, short hallway. There was a men's restroom on the left of the hall, and a women's on the right. I went through the door of the restroom, and looked around. There was no one there; I only look in the mirror to check myself out if no one's around; I'm self-conscious that way. Anyways, I walked forward and looked in the mirror. My brown hair was shorter than it should have been; it was down to my chin instead of my shoulders. This looked bizarre, far too bizarre, and so I became lucid. I thought for a second about what I'd do, and then decided to try controlling another DC and have a fight. Practice some dream combat, or the latter. I thought the best way to do this was to get to my school and summon one of my classmates. I came up to the restroom door again and, before exiting, envisioned the door leading right into the atrium of my school. Here is the description of the school from an older entry.

      The main section of the school, right when you walk in, consists of a large, long atrium with a triangular glass roof, which allows for much light to enter the school, making it fairly airy and bright. Classrooms are on the left and right of this atrium, and near the entrance there's a large set of stairs on the right, just before the classrooms begin. The main tones in the building include light beige, light eggshell blue tiles, and accents of paler turquoise, such as on the window frames and stair handles.

      I entered the atrium after attempting to summon the location twice; the first time I opened the door, the building was dark-lit and had no similar colors. I'm a perfectionist when it comes to summoning locations in dreams, as it's one of my stronger suits. The second time I got it right, and walked right into the middle of the atrium, coming from the side. It was light, as if it were daytime, and there was no soul in sight. This would make it a tiny bit harder to summon someone, as I felt discouraged for some reason. I looked to the left, down the atrium, and then turned around, expecting one of my classmates to be there; I succeeded the first time. The classmate who appeared was a real person: she had long, solid brown hair down to her shoulders, and she was wearing a bit of makeup, even though she normally doesn't wear anything. She was also wearing jeans and a maroon tank-top, slightly loose, with a white hoodie.

      The girl immediately began walking towards me, after I came up with a quick expectation: that she'd start fighting with me. I've been finding it easier than ever to control DCs; this includes their emotions, facial expressions, and overall actions. Since I don't share as strong a belief that DCs are somehow a projection of your conscience, I find it easy to do this type of dream control.

      As soon as she got close, probably around two or three feet away, she stopped.

      Her first words were, "I'm going to get you back so good right now, and it's not even funny."

      Of course, this only made me even more excited. If I hadn't been lucid and that happened, it would have scared me. But, I was lucid, so it didn't. She then lunged forward and punched me, but I recoiled backwards, dodging it. I punched her back and she went flying a good fifty feet down the atrium.

      This dream was pretty epic; in my opinion, it stretched the boundaries of what I can produce of my dreams.

      It began at my school. But before I go any further, I'll describe what it looks like first. The main section of the school, right when you walk in, consists of a large, long atrium with a triangular glass roof, which allows for much light to enter the school, making it fairly airy and bright. Classrooms are on the left and right of this atrium, and near the entrance there's a large set of stairs on the right, just before the classrooms begin. The main tones in the building include light beige, light eggshell blue tiles, and accents of paler turquoise, such as on the window frames and stair handles. Although I cannot recall exactly how similar the school in my dream looked compared to real life, I know it was in fact similar in some ways. It gave off the same vibe as the actual thing.

      I was in the first classroom to the left of the atrium; the room was around twenty two feet wide by twenty seven feet long. There were no desks, but there was a normal, burgundy school chair in the far corner of the room. Two of my friends were there with me; a blonde girl and a brunette, both slightly taller than I. My friends near always appear the same in my dreams, as I've been going to school with them since grade one. The blonde girl even had her glasses on, which made them even more similar. It was almost time to be dismissed, so I suppose it was nearly 3:30. Even though school was in still, we were the only people there. Perhaps the dream didn't want to use up energy, trying to fill up all the space in the school? Anyhow, this caused me to become lucid.

      Ied summon my mother at the front of the school, in her car, to pick the three of us up. Instead of being in a silver minivan like she should have had, she was in a sleek black car, designed a bit like an Infiniti. It looked realistic though, and didn't have any 'dream' distortion or features. I got in the back seat, behind the driver's seat; the blonde girl sat beside me, and the brunette got in the front beside my mother. We started driving.

      The dream skipped from this part to a new one, and now we were on a strip of road with a few business/city buildings, and there were sidewalks to either side of us. The road seemed to be a 4-lane road: it was fairly wide, but there were no parked cars. No cars except us, other than the occasional passerby. However even with this skip, I was still lucid; this was unusual, since I usually lose lucidity when that occurs. We probably drove for a minute or so, until I heard police sirens in the distance. They were slightly distorted, almost heavier-sounding, but the cars looked the same as they appeared behind us. My mother pulled over to the right side of the road and stopped the van. One police car stopped behind us, and the other behind that one. So all three cars, including us, were now lined up on the side of the road. I looked around and I could somehow 'see' through the van, and look at the two policemen getting out of the first car. The second police car seemed to be still, as if no one was in it.


      One of the men stayed behind the other. The one in front walked to the front window of our van and tapped on it. "M'am, can you step out of the vehicle?" he asked my mother. I totally did not summon that action, or the words. I figured I'd just go along with whatever the dream wanted to do, since I wasn't too lucid at the time.

      Anyways, my mom got out slowly. I could still see through the side of the van. I could also hear what the policeman was saying, as if there was nothing in between him and I, even though the windows were closed, etcetera. He asked her, "are you the one responsible for the murder of William..." I can't remember the last name. It was a fairly strange last name, and so maybe that's why I can't recall it. My mom looked through the window, still as a stone, to where I was sitting in the vehicle. The gaze almost looked questionable. I look down, suddenly getting an idea. And this is where things began to get a little weird.

      My lucidity rising again, I stepped out of the van, opening the silver door on a hinge (when in real life it would have slid open horizontally), and faced the police officer. "Leave her alone," I told him firmly and confidently. "It's my fault. Although it was an accident..." I was still not attempting to control the policeman DC, although I did sort of "expect" him to pull out a gun and shoot me. It happened pretty quickly; he pulled out a handgun from his uniform pocket and shot me. I held my hand out to shield myself, but the bullet went into my palm. I looked at it, imagining blue blood coming out, and this happened too. There wasn't a lot; it almost looked like I got a blob of navy, almost transparent jelly on my hand. The interesting thing was, that my dreams usually end when I get shot. Perhaps it was because I was able to control what happened after I got shot, that my dream didn't go black.

      By now, I was at a fairly low lucidity level, but I could still think of what to do. I decided to punch the police officer, just on a whim, to see what would happen. I punched him, and he didn't move that much, but he still recoiled. He then pulled out another gun (the first one disappeared) and shot me a few more times, but nothing happened at all. I felt small bullets hitting me on the neck, arms and stomach, but no pain and my dream still didn't fade. I felt extremely confident, and so I told him to hit the road. He backed away slowly, ran back into his car, and drove away.
