    1. huge friends make me lucid

      Big Friends
I was in a place that looked like a movie theatre, not sure why I was there but I wasn't really thinking about that, I was talking to three of my best friends, S J and M. I ask all of them if they want to go out and do something and they all are acting quite stand-off ish saying "No, we're going to go to Colorado and go snowboarding." I notice that I am having to strain my neck looking upwards to see their faces, and they seem to be about eight or nine feet tall, and my friend M has his arm amputated just above the elbow and it's bandaged in white gauze. This is strange so I do a nose plug RC and breathe in three times successfully, and I'm aware that I'm dreaming.

I don't bother trying to talk to my friends since they have been stand off-ish anyways, so I walk up a slight incline and enter a semicircular shaped restraunt, with big windows and booths against the wall like any classic diner. I focus on all the different people sitting in the booths, and recognize a girl R that I had dated for a little while two years ago, and approached her at the booth. We both just looked at each other and didn't say anything, which is a very nice encounter. At this point I can't think of anything I want to do in this restaurant so I pick her up in my arms, and jump into the air and spin to try to create a new dream scene. The only problem is that I wasn't focusing on maintaining lucidity while changing the scene, or imagining where I want to end up, so I lost R and found myself only semi-lucid in a new dream scene.

I'm in a public place, some vague looking American east coast city, I do a nose plug RC several times and it works, but the dream is fading quickly and I get nervous yelling stabilize! since there are so many people around me [waking residue since I have a room mate next door to me, paper thin walls], I think about doing some different things but the dream keeps fading and a lose lucidity .

MM so that's it! LD 4.
I spent the night before this going over my DJ from the last month, putting together dreamsigns and thinking about the nature, common trends and dimensions of my dreams. I also slept in from 12:30-7:30, then got up and walked around outside for an hour and focused on my senses, very beautiful brisk morning, all the trees bare and the ground frosted, no sounds at all from birds singing or cars passing, even the dogs weren't barking. Really nice. Then I went back to my room feeling refreshed and spent about an hour sitting quietly reading my DJ and doing visualizations. So yeah, I guess you could call this a WBTB/DILD induced?

Anyway, short but sweet. I've tried to transition the scene in 2/4 lucids and failed both times. Got to read up on it more and hang a reminder list next to my bed .

I met my goal of having 2 LDs by Oct 31st, then again met my "extra credit" goal of having 4 !! So I'm happy about that and feeling inspired.

I hope everybody is having fun lucid dreaming and are meeting their own goals and feeling great about it!

Pretty sure I was in the preliminary of another DEILD. All I remember was doing the nose breathe reality check in the void. I took a couple good deep breaths with my nose plugged and attempted to escape the void. But alas, it was not to be.

This one was so short I'm not going to include it in my tally, but I'll mark it here none-the-less.

So I'm with Joy, Dodge and Earl Jr in a brand new dodge challenger, we're pulling one of those small u-haul trailers. Something happened to the car, and it had to get fixed. I was thinking the next time I do this, I'll just drive my pops' truck. Dodge wanted to drive the truck, and I told him no, that he'll have to ride with Joy in my car.

I found myself at some empty field, and there was some sort of dance going on. Dodge was telling me to dance with one of the girls. They were all wearing prom dresses. I looked and noticed that they were all dancing with each other, and I walked away. I spent the rest of the dream stabbing a pole i found at a cactus

    4. First Induced Lucid Dream!

      by , 10-25-2010 at 07:39 PM
      10.21:

Well, it's been a long ride, but I had my first intentional lucid dream. Per the usual, I'm going to put in red what was lucid, and blue what was non-lucid. Black will be non-dream stuff.

Going to bed, I repeated the mantra "I lucid dream." When my thoughts wandered, I would chant it louder in my head. During my trying to fall asleep, I could imagine daily things being effected by it (I see a scene from earlier play out, but instead of normal words, it added things like "I loudly dropped..." which followed the same first letter of my mantra. Somewhere in there, I fell asleep.
I am in an extremely dark house. People are all around, and for some reason, I feel a sense of urgency. I try to turn on lights, but they fail. My first thought is the lights are broken. Somewhere in the dream, I get the notion that it's a dream and try to RC. I try poking my finger through my hands, counting my fingers, but both worked flawlessly. Undaunted, I do the nose test, and it failed. This forces me to realize I am dreaming. Since it's dark, I conjure up a potion, for some reason, and drink it. Within seconds, the room brightens up. I drink another, and the room gets brighter. Eventually, the entire room is dark, but bright enough to make out details. I know the LD is extremely unstable, so I began to think of tasks to do. Yes, this was my first thought because I am goal-oriented. I ask a woman wondering around what are my tasks again, and I remember it's to talk to someone, so I ask her to tell me about lucid dreaming when I try to conjure a fireball for Nomad's class before the most recent one. She explains I need to wait to develop dream control and duration, but it'll come. I start to create the fireball in my hand, but while I feel the heat and hear the sparkling, I lose the visual. Begrudgingly, I wake up. I quickly jot down my dream, then I try to return to the dream, but instead, I have a non-lucid where I see a radio host willing to have his kidney removed for the sake of radio. Later, I am planning a trip to local colleges (day residue) to watch their graduations.

      All in all, good night!
    5. Sliding Down a Banister and More Driving from the Back Seat

by , 10-25-2010 at 05:30 PM (The Lab Notebook)
Awake, Non-lucid, Lucid, [Commentary made while awake]

The sidewalk on the southwest side of the stretch of M. Road that heads southeast toward R. V. Road, which is on a downhill slope [both in this dream and in reality], has a banister running alongside it [only in this dream, as far as I know]. I'm sliding down the banister, and two large dogs come up to me to investigate. I manage to stop on the banister so that the woman who owns them can talk to me. She says that the oddness of what I was doing and my ethnicity had made the dogs curious. I say, “Really? I didn't think this was all that strange. I just took it for granted.” I feel the sensation of a dog's teeth gripping the back of my shirt, just behind my left shoulder, and pulling back on it, but I reassure myself by thinking, “It's all in your head.” Once again, I've only realized that I'm dreaming as I'm waking up from it.

I'm driving in the brown car with my mom to go and pick up our friend Sam K. from one of our old houses. He isn't there. When we turn around to head back, we decide to “go halvsies” - that is, we both sit in the back seat and reach forward as needed to turn the steering wheel. It's very easy to reach it. I remark, “Wow, I didn't expect this to work so well! I didn't expect it to work at all. I thought we would just crash and die.” I'm remembering having previously dreamed about driving this way [see my dream journal entry dated 10/21/10 – that's the dream I'm remembering], and am surprised that driving that way is working out so well in reality. [Ha!!] Our car goes all over lawns and sidewalks with us driving it this way, and we have one close call with another car, but we manage to avoid actually running into anything. I woke up and was very annoyed to realize that that had just been a dream, too, and that I hadn't noticed that it was one.

      Non Lucid - Lucid

from the start of what i can remember i was walking around my grandma's woods trying to find somewhere to pee. i turned around and saw my friend rible who i haven't seen in years standing 10 feet away from me and he asked why there was a boat in the pond.
my friend being there didn't seem unusual but once he spoke of the boat
(the one in LD#3) i became so ecstatic and tried explaining my previous dream to him. I started jumping on and over everything i could and then i herd my grandma call for me, i looked over and my friend transformed into this other person i know, nigel. When i saw him i started thinking about possibilities of what i could show him but all i could think of was the plug your nose RC. this was the first time i performed an RC so it felt pretty incredible. however, my friend couldn't do it and for some reason just couldn't put his hand on his nose. I remembered wanting to jump in the lake and breathe under water but i thought this would wake me up so i didn't. I became bored of the scenery so i started thinking about snow and began spinning trying to create a blanket of snow, i remember peaking my eye open and seeing a lot of white as if it were working. then i woke up...

(by far my longest experience and most interesting, definitely going to try and remember to put my finger through my hand or plug my nose again. I feel like all i ever do is just super jump around everywhere. Any ideas on things i should try to remember to do in my next LD?)

      Non Lucid - Lucid

Although I cant remember too much of the dream i do remember me and my family were in some sort of great struggle trying to escape a dungeon. As we made it outside we began running towards my grandma's river (pond in real life) where there was a make-shift junky sailboat. I dont remember the actual moment i became lucid) but as we were running towards it i assured them that i was lucid and we would float fine. As we all jumped into the boat we slowly started sinking and the water started to feel like thick sludge. No matter what i tried i could not get it to float so we tried swimming upstream. then i woke up...

(the more i think back on this dream it makes me wonder if you can just dream about becoming lucid.. like as if it was part of the plot of the dream and you dont get dream control)

"I Really Want To Kiss You" "Okay"

So I was with my friend, Sarah, and was driving on the highway. I remember everything having a particularly gray coloring but that was probably because of the cement that surrounded us. We were talking about something then she told me that she really wanted to kiss me. I laughed at this thinking it was a joke. At this point I drove through a toll booth. When I stopped laughing she stared at me and said that she actually wanted to kiss me and that it wasn't a joke. So my first reaction was to pull over so I did so carefully. I kept the car rolling until we reached the exit and then I got off the highway. The first hotel building (also a gray cement) we stopped at. It was a modern building with blocky and angular walls and grass sticking from different places. There also was a small water fall into a pond.

There was some kind of festival going on that day and I vaguely remembered me and my gf were going to go to my house. At the hotel building I saw other people like max and camille. I looked at sarah and asked "What about your bf?" She just said not to worry about him. I was actually trying to find someway to not have this happen so even in my dreams i'm (mostly) a good boy when it comes to women. We were walking inside and then I asked "You know i'm in a relationship, right?" She then sorta got it and looked at me and said that I shouldn't do anything then. We still went into the hotel building, up a few floors, and then into a room that looked quite like my bed room except for the mattress was on the floor, there was a bluish carpet, and the walls were more noticeably white. We just stayed in there for a while until it was twilight (sun almost setting).

Sarah was laying in a chair topless watching tv. Don't know why she was topless. I checked my phone and found that I had a text from my gf. She was on her way. I then started freaking out and telling sarah to leave but she wouldn't. After a couple minutes of freaking out I awoke.

      ~ 2 minutes

As me and my friend Neal were inside of a mall, a godzilla/dinosaur like creature began to attack by bashing away at the front of the building. This instantly made me lucid and i turned to my friend to tell him of the great news but he only looked at me like i had 4 heads... i then turned away from him and somehow created some sort of "laser-gun" that just appeared in my hands. i tried to inform my friend again but he still did nothing. I then jumped up and down trying to peak out a hole the monster made, however, I dont remember firing the gun at all. then i woke up...

(this was probably my most successful lucid dream being that i was able to jump insanely high and create matter)

      ~15 seconds

As i'm walking down some grassy trail, I for some unknown reason glance down at my hands notice something odd about that contrast of the appearance of my hands to the ground. Something about this snapped the realization that i was dreaming and i thought "wow im really lucid dreaming! this is what my friend was telling me about.." i then spent 10 seconds jumping as high as i could and gently floating down while twisting and flipping. then i woke up... wow

(still don't know how this snapped lucidity into me while other things in dreams cant, but thank god it happened or i would have never learned about lucid dreaming.)

    11. Fetish mall

      by , 10-25-2010 at 12:00 PM
Good morning. This dream is kind of weird. I think it's also just a fragment.

I was in a busy mall full of people. The mall had a lot of very narrow corridors, rather than a few wide corridors. The storefronts may have been small and packed with items like tall posters or stands made to look like anime charcters. The place was extremely packed with people.

I knew this was a "fetish mall," a mall filled only with stores catering to people's various fetishes. I had been here before (possibly in the first part of this dream, which I may have forgotten).

An attractive, young woman poked her head out of one of the storefronts. She was pale, with long, brown hair, a blue or green t-shirt, and blue jeans.

She asked me some question about the store she was about to go into, something about whether the fetish comics in the store were appropriate for women as well as men. I told her that it was fine if she wanted to read them. She nodded and popped her head back into the store.

I continued walking through the crowds of people. I wondered either why a woman would want to read fetish comics made for men or why a woman would ask permission to do so, especially permission from some person she didn't even know, like me.

I turned left, into another fetish store. The inside of this store was huge. It seemed like a big bookstore, but it had other stuff in it. I think it actually may have looked like a cross between a bookstore and a dollar store.

I didn't look around very much. This place wasn't as crowded as the corridor had been, but it was still very busy. Plus, I felt like I was going somewhere with purpose. I felt like my feet were walking, almost gliding, toward a certain place on their own. But I also felt like I knew where I was going, like I'd been there before.

I felt like one of the higher ups at my old job, a woman who in waking life had been extremely supportive of me, was following me. I then felt like a lot of people were following me, mostly people I'd known from work.

I walked down a staircase that had a sign above it. The sign was white with red capital letters. It listed the items being sold below.

I was downstairs. It looked like a department store, a cheap department store. There were some displays showing bed sets, some displays showing living room sets, and some displays showing toilets. Sometimes all the stuff was mixed together.

A woman off to my right caught my attention. She was maybe in her late 50s or early 60s. She had red hair, tanned skin, and thin eyes. She wore a blue dress. Her hair was arranged a little weird, almost shoulder length, but permed out to one side, so she looked lopsided.

The woman directed me into an area full of lingerie. She intended for me to try on certain items. I wondered if that would be alright. After all, would they really want a guy touching that stuff, especially if he didn't intend to buy it?

The area the woman led me into was a big, red room. There was nothing, or very little, in the room. There were dressing rooms along the right wall.

We walked past a table of black and red underwear. They looked kind of satiny and lacy. A sign over them said "2 for $5." I thought maybe I should buy a pair of these right now to wear while I was trying on this other stuff the older woman had for me. That seemed polite to me somehow. But I decided instead to wear my own boxer briefs while I tried stuff on. But I felt bad about that, as if it were rude of me.

The woman stood me in front of a dressing room. She began showing me different articles of underwear. She went into great detail on their design, showing all kinds of things like stitching. But I really wasn't interested in this. The more I looked at the panties, the more they somehow looked to be made out of the same fabric as basketball jerseys.

The woman now showed me a pair of panties that she said were made with padding. I couldn't figure out why they'd need padding -- maybe to give women a better shape? I looked at them. They looked like a mix between underwear and diapers.

The woman told me to feel the padding. So I did. It looked like the inside of a diaper. But it felt like bags of sand, like the tiny sand bags in weight-exercise bracelets.

I looked at the underwear again. They looked like a mix between Ace Bandages and diapers. The price was written in pencil on the bottom: $19.50. I thought, That's a bit much, for something I'm never actually going to wear.

The woman said, "This pair is the first thing I'd like you to try on." She motioned me into a dressing room stall.

The stall was barely large enough to fit me. It was dimly lit. I was mostly undressed, except my underwear. I thought I'd keep them on. But now I had nothing on. I was holding the diaper-thing in my hand. I was looking for all my clothes.

Now I had nothing at all. I was trying to figure where I'd put everything. Now I realized I'd actually thrown everything over the dividing-wall between stalls. The dividing-wall was just above my head. I reached over to discover the other stall packed with clothes, all the way to the top of the divider.

I kept reaching over the divider, trying to find my clothes. I even tried to find the diaper-thing figuring that that article of clothing was almost mine anyway, and that it was better than nothing. But I kept pulling up completely unknown articles of clothing. All this time, the changing stall may have gotten smaller and smaller.

    13. Lucid and Singing to my Subconscious!

by , 10-25-2010 at 05:49 AM (A World In My Head!!)
      October 24, 2010

Synopsis: A nightmare is trapped in the back of my house. Later, I become lucid and sing silly songs to praise my subconscious because dreaming is so awesome. After wards, a DC tells me I have to wake up, and acts as if he has authority over me!

Note: The other night I was thinking about how I should recognize that there is ANOTHER part of me that's really creating the dream. And that I need to give up this idea that my conscious self controls or creates the dream.

      A Nightmare Trapped
I had a nightmare. Actually, I don't remember the nightmare. I only had vague impressions of it when I woke up. I remembered that several family members were involved, including my cousin cheskie. There was a female demon. And something creepy and gross involving human body parts.

I remember me and my cousin were trying to get away, but we didn't get far. This part of the dream actually felt long!

Later on, everyone is just chilling in the living room. When suddenly one of men starts throwing up! Being vomit-phobic, I quickly run out of the living room (and so do some of the younger cousins). He's running for the bathroom, holding his mouth! akljaal! He's gonna throw up on me, so I need to get further away from him.

I end up running to my bedroom. Then I regret doing that. Because the nightmare is trapped in the back of my apartment. The entire back half of the apartment is dark, with strange glowing lights. And a weird metal box, which I assumed the demon was in.

I don't remember what happens next, but I think I run out of the room and keep running all the way out of the apartment

Lucid and Singing to my Subconscious!
      (cheese!)
The sun is shining and I'm lucid!!

I run across brick red roof tops, with another DC following me as a friend. From the roof tops, I leap towards a tree, and fly through its branches and green leaves. It felt nice to simply be lucid. I wish I remembered my lucid goals, but I didn't.

I ran around a ghetto looking suburbia. Me and my DC friend hid in someone's front yard, protected with a tall chain link fence. When the owner comes home we realize we've been spotted, and like little kids we run for it! I fly out a breech in the chain-link fence, and continue flying down the street.

I see a big building, it looks interesting so I go inside. It turns out to be some lame supermarket, filled with cheese and bored employees.

Usually I would think this is lame and look for a new dreamscape. But last night I was on a lucid high, and thought "wow! my subconscious made all of these details?". So I walked around in a lucid high just admiring all the random details of this boring supermarket.

Hidden in one of the isles was the tiniest little succulent I've ever seen! Complete in an equally tiny terracotta pot.

I held the tiny thing in my palm and thought..."Its perfect!". My subconscious didn't miss anything. It was green and plump the way any succulent should be.

At that point I start to praise my subconscious for having such creative abilities exceeding my conscious self. I started to sing a silly rhyme, somehow I managed to rhyme processed milk and manufactured cheese in the same sentence.

I can't sing worth anything and my rhyme was dumb! Even I knew it was dumb when I was dreaming

But to my happy surprise, suddenly all the bored looking employees break out in dance, and all together they chorus and repeat my rhyme. That was fun! I stay rhyming and singing to my subconscious for a few minutes.

Until I ran out of things to rhyme processed milk and cheese with

Once I stopped singing, the DCs went back to their boring routine as if nothing happened.

Before leaving, I wanna try it again! Ahem- I have to clear my throat and my voice cracks as I come up with some silly rhyme. All is quiet, and then, the entire store mirrored back my rhyme in perfect melody! Woah!

Happy and still lucid, I go outside and climb the big tree. I think how fun it would be to have monkey feet while climbing this tree, and like magic, I had monkey feet (I think at some point I took off my shoes). Then I try doing back flips, but I just ending up floating backwards instead.

Suddenly a strange DC comes up to me, behind him was a group of aggressive looking men. I think I recognize this DC as a repeating DC, a not so nice one. He's a tall skinny black man, usually wearing a business suite. And he's always a jerk to me!

He tells something I don't remember. But I remember him telling me "So now that you've learned what you were supposed to learn from this dream, its time to wake up."

What? Wake up? End my lucid adventure?

"No! I don't want to wake up, I'm having too much fun."

"Fine, I'll give you an extra minute and a half. And then, I'm ending the dream."

Who is he to tell me that he's ending MY dream? He starts counting "1.....2.....3......"

Oh man! I run down the street, determined to get far away from this jerk and prolong my dream instead. He sends his minions after me, but they can't keep up with my speed.

I wasn't worried about his minions. I was worried about his counting. Actually, it started to completely freak me out o_O. I didn't matter how far or how fast I went, his voice was still there, right behind me. Right in the back of my head!

As if there is no physical space dividing me and this DC, who positions himself to be able to end my dream.

I duck behind a bush and crawl into the thicket, losing the two boys. I can hear the men looking for me. I panic! What should I do? All the other DCs had voices that come from a distance, even far away if they were far away. But not this DC.

The men get closer to me, scared that they would try to bring me back to the strange DC, I decided this dream ain't worth it, and wake myself up

It was 6:30 am, hours before I needed to wake up!

Stretched out against a vast, black aether, they weave and twist about, branching down into unfathomable depths. At the head, a name for each: Walms, Naiya, Raven, and so many more. Delving down, I explore their reaches. The expanse below Walms' is the largest by far, and twines itself about the others more and more the deeper I go. Naiya's is closest to Walms', their trees the largest, while Raven's name is drifting, slowly pulling away from the others.

The scene shifts into a game of conquest, and here I find MoSh, willingly under the control of a female presence I never get to see. She guides him well; his troop placements are precise, his movements coordinated. I find myself under pressure. . .

      ______________

The dark conference room, with its expensive wooden tables and high-backed chairs lined up against the walls, is deserted. Making my way to a table across the room, the other High Aide walks in, aghast.

“They're not here,” she sounds frustrated.

“No. It's not like Congress to be here in a time of crisis. I expect they're safe somewhere, probably out of country.”

“Point taken, but that still leaves us. The enemy is descending upon us, as you well know, but what are we supposed to do about it?”

“Keep things under control,” I pick up a pink slip of paper with several ornate signatures scrawled across it. “A standing order,” I tell my coworker.

“What does it say?” the other Aide asks quietly.

      “We have to evacuate.”

“Then let's get out of here. . .”

We walk through the white-walled building, all the way to the heavily populated atrium. A commotion erupts upon our arrival, and I drop the book I wasn't carrying moments ago. Stepping on it, I notice there's something under it. . . is that?

“NOBODY MOVE!” A man in a black leather jacket and slacks steps out in front of me, back turned, left arm locked around a secretary, right hand handed aiming a gun at her head. Just like the one beneath my book. I scoot backwards, dragging the book and gun underfoot, taken aback by the occurrence. Why would terrorists be attacking the House at a time like this. No one is here, except us two. Slightly dumbfounded, and fearing for my own safety, it takes me a moment to realize the man doesn't know I'm behind him.

Reaching down, I grab the gun; it's an old five shot revolver, I'm not really sure on the make. I point the weapon at the man's back and move slowly, silently forward. Putting up my other hand to steady the shot. . .

      BANG!

A hole appears in the back of his jacket, followed by blood. He slumps to the ground, dead, but he's not alone. His accomplice comes at me from the left, swiftly. I try to aim the gun at him, but my hands are shaking too violently. A shot rings out, and a bullet wizzes by my head, tousling my hair. I fire wildly, BANG, BANG, BANG, BANG. Each shot either goes wide or spirals out of control, missing the mark. The accomplice fires back at me four times. One miss, two miss, three miss. . .

      THMP.

The bullet rips through my chest and my mouth opens in shock, spitting up blood. I stagger for a moment before my eyes go wild and I look at my killer with a maniacal glint. I let him know, “I can regen, mother fucker!” I charge him, quickly regenerating the wound in my chest, pushing out the hot lead. Pointing my empty gun at him, I demand his weapon. He hands it to me, terrified; it's got one shot left. I put it against his head, and he whimpers like a puppy. As I pull the trigger, I grimace as. . . the shot bounces off his skull?

The anticlimactic ending stifles my rage, and the two of us have a chat. “You know the only people of any importance here right now are the High Aides, right?” I ask him.

“Oh, really. . ? Well, we should have figured as much with Rob moving in on Cambodia [Kaomea?] in the west.”

“Yeah, I still have to let the Adamarill know.”

      “Admiral?”

      “That's what I said.”

Another shift and I'm streaming a video of Galactica's CIC. Starbuck let's Adama know the current situation, and I can't help noticing the HAL eye at the bottom of the screen. I remember that signifies this is one of my Dream Journal Entry. Wait a second. . .

      My phone rings.
