    1. Wrong Work - ~Dreamer~! ★★★★☆

      by , 07-23-2015 at 03:45 PM (Zödra)
I am walking in to my old work and I start realizing that I don't work there anymore. I am getting a little embarrassed and then I stop and remember that I had a dream at this work the day before. I know that this is a dream now, but RC anyways due to the amount of vividness being trippy and what I was planning on doing next was gonna be weird. I look up in the sky and notice that it went from morning to night very quickly. I see the moon and it is bright and silver and beautiful. I close my eyes, but the sight of the moon doesn't go away. I "fall asleep" and the moon slowly changes to the earth and starts spinning quite fast and then slows down. I think that this is awesome since I was talking about seeing the earth in the sky yesterday.

I notice that there is a break in the sky and that it looks like legoland on the other side. There are all sorts of buildings and things. I fly around a bit and look in it, but it seems pretty far away and I had other plans. I go inside and go to sleep again, trying ~dreamer~'s way of having super long LDs. As I fall asleep I notice that I have a big ball in my hand. I focus on it as I fall asleep and then wake up outside. this time I am near a bunch of businesses and I can't seem to fly at all. I am quite confused and I decide to mess with gravity. I flip upside down and just float there like there is zero gravity. Then I start walking on the underside of the awnings with gravity flipped (Some DCs watching me a little here). I remember that I have a goal and I go off "into the distance" until I find something interesting. I notice a vending machine and stop there. I see a bar on the bottom that looks awesome and instead of trying to just summon money I open up the vending machine. I notice a lock and I phase it through and off. I grab the crackers and read the package. It is super clear and doesn't change, but it doesn't say anything about LDing like I was trying to get it to. I stop caring about this because dreamer is there. She doesn't say anything at first, but we decide (somehow) that we are going to try and find the right thing in a house near us.

We fly onto the roof and phase through. As we are doing this I feel like I have 3 different dream bodies, the two sleeping and the one awake. It makes sense to me that this would make a dream last longer, but I don't know how. I think about how all 3 different places exist at the same time as opposed to it just being a scene change. I land in a different room than her and I start checking the living room... I see dreamer outside somehow.
"Try and remember this when you wake up" She says "but you probably don't remember who I am."
"You are ~Dreamer~, I'll remember, I am very aware. You make sure you journal as soon as you wake up." I say. she is fading. I try to jump through the glass but end up spidermaning all over it.

I decide to continue with the lengthening of the dream and head to the kitchen. I open the fridge and realize that a drink in the fridge would make the dream last longer. I find one and put it to my lips... and wake up.

    2. A lot of hidden meanings in this one. [23/07/15]

by , 07-23-2015 at 03:25 PM (My lucid comeback!)
Second night with, what I can describe as an abundance of dreams which I'm content with. I woke up a first time at 05:20 and decided at that moment to cancel the DEILD alarm set at 07:00. I think the main reason why I could remember all of the dreams for those wondering, I just spend over half an hour after I was awake just laying in bed and repeating all the scenarios over and over in my head to remember as much as possible when I start writing down. And even then I think I lost atleast one dream, the last one in the process of writing cause it took over 10 minutes dotting down the key-words.

      1. The burial

I'm looking over a strategic map of what I think is scandinavia during the middle ages and it feels as if I'm the king of small country up north that is quite isolated from the rest of the world. Suddenly I'm outside in a brutally cold norse landscape near the rough sea on some hills. The land looks barren with only poor grass covering the almost moon-like earth. A peasant has died and I'm the one and only person attending his burial here in the middle of nowhere, although I'm a king and he's a peasant I feel deeply sad for the man who looks to be still quite young but has been dead for a while. I think his corpse has only been found after a long period but the cold climate turned him into a mummy and thus preserved his humanlike look.

I feel a lot of respect for him and there in the middle of nowhere with just me and him I decide to honour his death as good as I can, suddenly I see a grave and the corpse seems to have teleported in it. I grab the man's hands and put them on his chest, creating a bowl-like shape with his hands. Then I grab a green apple and put it in his hands, thinking about how a tree will grow in many years at this place. Suddenly I notice how the apple has been put in a small wooden structure that is now carried by the hands of the corpse and at that point I decide to close the grave.

      2. The Italian isolation

I'm in a large hotel room alone, somewhere in Italy, we're on a school trip and it's already quite late, I'm busy unpacking my bags and settling in while also hurrying cause everyone is already out of the hotel enjoying the nightlife I guess and I don't want to miss it. I change my clothing and put on my expensive pants from Boss, when I notice that somehow a lot of the jeans fabric has been torn away and it has uncovered the orange looking fabric underneath, I decide that this is unacceptable and I can't leave like this. Feeling quite alone I find a note on my bag from a girl but I forgot what it said, suddenly my sister is there asking me what's wrong. From this point the dream gets blurry and I can't remember much but I think I went into the hotel lobby and played some pool with myself.

      3. WHERE IS IT!?!

I'm sitting in a study or library, my world isn't much larger than the desk I'm sitting at, so the location is unknown, I see a lot of paper lying around and maps, different parts of the world mapped out in detail. When I examine one for some reason I know it's the coastline of Puerto Rico, then I notice a white dot moving around slowly in the sea, it stops and leaves a large cross somewhere infront of the coast. I didn't think much of it and went through the other files studying them for no reason when an old teacher who gave German at my school comes towards me and asks me where the submarine is. She seems very angry and annoyed with my lack of knowledge about her request, she screams again asking where it sank. At that point I realised she wanted the map with the white dot! I start quickly searching through the stacks of paper but can't find it, it seems almost like it vanished from reality completly!
She becomes more and mores enraged the longer it takes and after a while I start breaking down shouting it's near the coastline of Puerto rica! She just won't stop screaming and it goes on like that until the dream ends.

      4. Mission failed

I'm playing a game in which you have to infiltrate houses and spy on people or something but quickly the perspective changes and the person entering the house is me. Suprisingly I'm infiltrating my own house, but it seems now a couple lives there who are into a gang, I heard the name blood-gang somewhere in the briefing. It's the first mission of 'the game' and actually a tutorial so I'm very relaxed and don't worry cause it's a game after all, yet I'm there like for real. My mission is to instal a number of Phone-taps in wires running along a wall in several places of the house. I'm just looking around when I notice a timer in the corner of my eyes displaying I have 20 seconds left to put up all the devices before the inhabitants come home. I start running around in panick searching for the wires and succefully tap one in the bedroom, then I go down and find another in the kitchen, in the haste I have to kick a box out of the way. I can't finish the tap and hide under a table, IRL you should easily see me but for some reason it worked.

The woman came in first and put the box that I kicked out of the way back in it's place without much thinking and she just walked around, it seemed like normal behaviour for me but thinking about it now, it seemed robotic. I move around under the table to make sure she doesn't spot me, I decide to escape and begin with stunning her using a non-lethal ammo called sticky shocker which acts like a tazer and should just stun her so I can run away but somehow, it killed her.
I'm shocked (pun intented) to see what happened and when other people come in the dream ends.

      5. The American redneck-land

I'm running away from a house (may be the one from previous dream) somewhere in a very rural area, the buildings are very sparse and large open fields dominate the landscape as well as a large lake. I get in a jeep and start driving around fast with no real purpose other than just leaving this place. After racing over some hills in the end I almost make a large circle and end up far away from the house I first ran away from but I could've been much further away at this point, had I gone in a straight line. Anyway, behind a hill I pass two houses from which I hear redneck music coming and the houses look very poor. I go on further and get out of the car, walking towards a larger looking farm house a woman comes out with a rifle and tells me to back of which I do and I walk towards a large lake which seems to stretch to almost infinity. There's a pier extending more than a 100 meters out into the lake.
Out of nowhere there's a party going on and I have to throw a peeled egg at a large unpeeled egg and somehow break it, of course the small egg just bounces of it and we keep trying until we decide to throw it up in the sky and somehow we manage to throw it up so hard that it reaches space. Shortly after the egg comes crashing down and lands in the water where it is fished up by a guy in a small kano. Then everyone goes nuts and it's a massive redneck party!

      6. The return to Venice

I'm walking around in a mediëval looking city with my mother and wonder where exactly I am, she tells me we're in Venice but I don't believe her because I had been there months ago with the school trip (IRL), then we come accross a fountain in which I threw a coin back when I was here with school and the fountain didn't have any water in it. Unlike then it was now completely filled so I believed we were back. We find the rest of our family and I feel very tired, we're heading for the airport a day early because it's 'better that way' I think my father said.
I found the fact we came with an airplane weird cause we all hate flying and Italy ain't that far away so we could've used a car but then I rembered shards about us arriving in Italy using an airplane.

      7. Hard landing

I'm in the cockpit of an airplane, it's a small and old passenger airplane that's about to land on an extremely small airport that has a weird runway that has a bridge and a lot of bumbs in it. After multiple attempts of me landing the plane but every time not being lined up with the runway I just say fuck it and bring it down. After a lot of fumbling around with the control I nearly land the airplane verticaly on it's wheel and we land with a large bang but that's it. Another person in the cockpit tells me it was a hard landing but a landing after all.

    3. Friendly Fire, A More Confident Trev (23.7.15)

      by , 07-23-2015 at 02:44 PM (CHiLLEN's Dream Journal)
      Friendly Fire
I'm outside and in the army. I'm hiding in the Drench with some others. There has been some shootings by the enemy close by, which really shakes us up. I can see the sniper in the distance looking our way. I'm very hesitant to peak and have a look, cause I'm wearing a cap. I think that my cap could be a blessing, as it may blend in with the terrain. The sniper looks over the ledge and is looking at us. I make a run for it and get out of the area. I end up walking into them shortly after and l begin looking at them. I'm using a pistol which has a silencer. They don't die, which means they're most likely not the enemy. I feel a little silly now knowing that it was friendlies the whole time.

I'm in a city and I open a fish and chip shop 10 mins earlier. I think that it may improve business opening at 8.35am.

      A More Confident Trev
I'm drinking with Daryl and others at some place. It may be Rita's house. I'm starting to feel drunk and want to slow it down because I'm looking to go out later. Im out the front of the house and it's getting dark. It's definitely Rita's front yard. I see what looks to be Nat's car. I move it somehow a few meters into the next door neighbors driveway, just enough for the neighbors to squeeze their car by if needed. Im worried Nat's car will roll onto the road, but it seems to be ok. There's another car in the driveway of Rita's. It's Daryl's car I think. I'm doing something inside the car. I'm about to lock the car, and it dawns on me that I bette check if I got the keys. Luckily I checked because I didn't have the keys. I get a phone call, and it's Trev Kenson. He sounds more confident in himself since coming back from Europe. He leaves the convocation saying that he might come out later if he gives me his number. He must have expected me to hang up because I can still hear from his end. I listen in to hear what he's saying. I can hear him talking to someone. I try to put my phone on hold so I can do something without him hearing. Daryl calls and says he won't be coming out tonight.

    4. Dream entry #2- rough start, but still making progress

      by , 07-23-2015 at 02:31 PM
Last night I didn't dream anything. Well I just don't remember any of it. I'm going to say that the biggest cause of this was that I watched tv for about an hour and a half before going to sleep. So for now on I'm going to try to avoid using any TV, phone, I pad, ect. 1 and a hlaf hours before going to bed.

I wasn't able to attempt wild last night due to the fact that my alarm didn't go off. That was really a let down because I thought I had the alarm set. This isn't the first time I'm doing this, so for now on I'm going to be checking the alarm before I go to bed.

Now for the good news. I think it's that I may have timed my rem cycle corectly. At first I tried using affirmations to wake me up, but that still has not worked, but last night I used a trick where I drink a lot of water before bed to wake me up at night after a rem cycle and it worked. I woke 1 time about 5 hours after sleep. So I'm going to use this to try and find my rem cycle.

    5. The urban fear [22/07/15]

by , 07-23-2015 at 02:07 PM (My lucid comeback!)
Sorry to put this one up a day late but yesterday I totally forgot about it so today we have extra work putting this entry up as well as the next, both are quite long so let's get right into it.

      1. Better late than never

I enter a large room that is supported by multiple pillars scattered around, most of the structure is made of smooth concrete and it all has a bunker-feel to it. Lighting is limited to area's where people are seated making their entry-exam, I'm late and very stressed when one of the supervisors who looks annoyed leads me to my place. I begin filling in the exam like a maniac to make up for the time I lost and notice just how dark most of the room is, we're seated in the middle of this large space but you can't actually see the walls because it's pitch black around us. Most of the exam itself I don't remember but in the end I thought I had a slim chance of passing but was going with the mindset that I failed. (Which is how I left the exam IRL.)

      2. Dangerous homework

I've just arrived home after what feels like a long day and I'm very tired but have to do some homework, the weather is grey and I think it's raining or atleast starting too, it's also slowly starting to become dark outside.
I make my way to my bedroom where I sit at a desk placed against the wall with the two windows to become unloading my books. (IRL there aren't any desks in my bedroom, only in my sister's, but looking at my room now a desk might not be so bad actually...)
I notice there's a couple of strange, small plants in little pots placed infront of my windows, when I try to touch them they act aggressive and try to bite me, like flesh eating plants. For my homework I have to somehow study these plants but I'm wondering how I'll even begin without losing a finger!

      3. Dark film

I'm in a cinema of some sorts and the film I'm watching is very dark, blurry and I can't remember any details but I know it was horror-like and played itself in a weird dirty city.

      4. City of the future

While I know New York city has some large sky-scrapers the city I was driving around in this dream had some mindblowingly large and tall structures. I spend the majority of the dream just driving around and looking up in complete awe as one building is even higher than the one before, and worst of all is the architecture. A lot of buildings have parts that stick out from the main tower and hang there in mid air, the size of those parts were impossible for the main tower to support and I had this sick feeling in my gut as if you're standing on a really high place but instead it was because I expected everything to collaps at any moment. The whole city had this sci-fi steampunk feeling to it, very Industrial yet most of the buildings had offices I guess.

      5. Pawn shop

Me and a girl that I seem to know in the dream but one that I've never seen IRL enter a shop going down some stairs, it's a murky and rather suspicious looking place but I'm not too worried about it. It's very small, considering the shop is located in the basement of the building it doesn't have any windows and the only way out is the one we used to enter the shop. We wait at the cash register and I notice a small man the size of a dwarf who seems to be walking on his feet but doesn't have any legs, his feet seem glued directly to his torso. Then like an accordeon the man grows and his legs fold out between his feet and torso, the girl I'm with tells me it's a magic trick. After she says that and I take a better look at the man he has a tophat and a black cloak and looks like a magician. Eventually a man shows up at the register and asks us what we need, the girl responds that I need something to relieve myself, notice how she said this in a very sensual tone, I couldn' help but feel slightly attracted to her. In an attempt to play the smooth guy and get her attention I saw some dildo's back in the corner I told if she need anything to be 'relieved', she didn't understand and I acted like it was nothing.

    6. Technological Enigma

      by , 07-23-2015 at 01:23 PM
Morning of July 23, 2015. Thursday.

I am sitting at my computer desk as in real life though the room is mirrored longways (so that the open area of the room is to my left rather than to my right where the end of the desk is now against the opposite wall; however, the rest of the house, though I cannot see it, “feels” the same, as my oldest daughter’s room still, in in-dream “memory”, is to my left on the other side of the east wall). The room is mostly dark as I do not have a light on, and I assume it is nighttime.

The more I type with my keyboard (though I cannot recall the nature of what I am writing, though I am fairly certain it involved in-dream affirmations), the brighter it gets, until it is just a “slab of white light” (originally though with a bluish glow). Even though I had not been looking at my fingers, I am somewhat annoyed as it eventually seems too smooth to tap keys correctly.

Not only that, the computer monitor (the old large squarish type I still use that is about the length of my forearm) becomes black and blank and I cannot see what I am typing on the screen either. It almost reminds me of a large cloaked head (though not quite ominous).

How do people cope with this nonsense? (This is what I am thinking for a time.)
    7. A dollar off coupon, and Valentine's Day

      by , 07-23-2015 at 11:41 AM (Mouka's Mind Palace)
      CD 14 pre-O

I was at a grocery store with a dollar off coupon, and for some reason I thought I could just walk up to a register and get a free dollar if I just gave them the coupon. As I was in line I realized that was impossible, but I didn't want to embarrass myself so I grabbed a Ritter Sport bar and bought that. Once I did, I saw it was some gross sour milk flavor, and behind the counter I noticed a guy who looked like LeBron James unloading a box of the flavor that I liked, so I asked if I could switch them out. He said yes, but I'd have to get in line out back. So I wandered around to the other side of the register and there was a wall with a single door, and another line. As I was standing in line, Watson from BBC Sherlock was standing behind me, and I knew him, so I asked "So, how've you been?" and he furrowed his browed and looked at me puzzled and said "Sorry... who are you?" to which I replied "Remember, we used to solve crimes with Sherlock." Then he remembered me and said Ah. I asked him how Sherlock was and he said he hadn't seen much of him. I told him I hadn't either.

It was Valentine's Day and I was with Amy in a giant convention center type place. We passed by a gift shop that was full of people, so full that there were lines just to walk a circle around the store. She asked me if I wanted to go in and I said no way, but then I realized that she really wanted to go so I pretended to change my mind and we went in. I told Amy to pick out something and I'd buy it for her since it was Valentine's and all, so she chose this toy of Mickey Mouse on a bicycle with a thing of candy attached to it. I also saw those little boxes of Sweetart hearts but the hearts were Spree instead, which was awesome.

I was escorting a dangerous criminal out of a building with some man in a blue jacket. We were waiting by the elevator with this criminal chained up and there was a random person standing behind us, so I wanted to kind of freak him out. I leaned over to my escort buddy and whispered loud enough for the person to hear "Can you imagine if we lost this guy? The whole building would have to be shut down and quarantined." The person totally looked uncomfortable haha. Unfortunately I jinxed it and the criminal actually got away and jumped into the elevator by himself. We grabbed the next elevator, but realized it had only one button so we could've just run down the one flight of stairs and intercepted him quickly.
    8. Mind control mirror, and failed flying fun

      by , 07-23-2015 at 11:25 AM (Mouka's Mind Palace)
(Look at me, being a lazy ass and not transferring my dreams from my notebook to this dream journal here. Phhhft.)

      CD 5 post-AF pre-O

I worked at an oddities shop that had lots of interesting dusty things laying about. I came across a little mirrored jewelry box (it looked like the black one I got in South Korea) and noticed that if you looked into the mirror, it would hypnotize you. The mirror would start to glow orange-y and your eyes would too. It took control of your mind and made it some kind of slave. I was the only one who could withstand it because of all my mental disorders fucking my mind up, so when I looked into it, I could feel it circling my mind but unable to get in. It felt nice, like a high, so I just did it for fun. People started hearing about the mirror, and they all wanted to come to the shop to try it. When they came in, I'd take them to the back room while telling them how much I loved looking into it and they would try to withstand the mind control. If I saw their eyes start glowing, I'd pull the mirror away and they'd snap out of it. Everyone loved doing it since it felt so nice. At one point I went out to get something to eat, burritos, and when I came back, someone had looked into it without me there to pull them away, so everyone was freaking out and had no idea how to pull her out of it.

I was flying along a fence, terrified, running away from some horrible monster. As I'm flying, I realize that I'm dreaming and go lucid, so I keep flying forward and then shoot up into the sky, going higher and higher. I flew high past tall trees with many branches that were barren, and when I got super high I hesitated and then I wound up falling and couldn't stop. I closed my eyes right before I hit the ground... but there wasn't an impact. The closed eyes the dream unstable when I opened them, so that was a dumb thing to do. So I was sitting on the grass and I looked up and Seru was just kinda standing over me, I guess he caught me. I watched as he just stood there, looking around defensively like he was trying to protect me from something, and that's when I remembered the horrible thing that had been chasing me, and Seru was attempting, quite successfully, to keep it away. The dream was still pretty unstable, but I remembered a sensory technique involving focusing on all five senses, so I laid down in the grass and focused. The feel of the cool grass beneath me. The foresty noises of birds and shaking branches. The humidity. The look of all the trees and birds. The smell, but I couldn't smell any forest smells even though I tried... None of it was working. All the while Seru was standing there, now watching me with this expression like he was waiting for me to do whatever silly thing I was attempting. He also looked kind of pissed... then I realized he was annoyed because I was laying down, and I remembered that was a stupid as hell thing to do in a dream because it anchored you to your waking body. So yeah, I woke up.

    9. Summoned to Tasmania

      by , 07-23-2015 at 10:41 AM
Very high-detail dream. Characters demonstrate agency and the Sentinel makes another appearance, this time speaking to the other dream characters. I also engage my sense of smell in the dream.

      --- --- --- --- ---

I am on facebook when I realised that one of my friends had changed her name to 'Vivian'. I feel quite annoyed that she has taken my name, even though it is my screen name an not my birth name. Focusing on the post causes me to be transported to her location in a small Tasmanian mountain town. I appeared near her in a house that was being used as a small, local day spa business. The visuals were extremely detailed, I felt as though I were actually there. The windows were fogged from the condensation. The staff asked us to be quiet so as to maintain the spiritual ambiance.

I followed her outside onto the street. It was quiet. The forested hillside across the river was cloaked in mist. Huge red stringy-bark eucalypts rose up amongst the greenery. I breathed in deeply and savoured the fresh, crisp air. I was going to say that I could smell the trees, but I realised that the scent of the air was quite neutral. I could physically feel the air rushing through my nostrils as I inhaled, and I hazard to guess that I was actually performing this action in the waking world. Despite the lack of scent, I was still very much aware of the sensation of smelling. I continued on down the quiet street with her.

"Did you really bring me here?" I asked. She didn't answer, but glanced at me awkwardly. "Am I really here?" I asked again. I seemed to be intangible to her.
      "I don't know," she replied.
"But you answered me! So I must exist." I felt like my logic was flawless.

The town was reminiscent of the one in which we both grew up in. We wandered the streets for a while. There were many shops, but most were closed. I was still astounded at the level of detail here. We met a spritely man with grey hair. He was a priest and seemed to be in his mid 60s. He was one of the only people we had encountered in this town and he greeted us as we passed. My friend suggested I see their local museum while I was here. It was small and quaint. Even though we were in Tasmania, it featured an old Japanese boat, possibly used for whaling, and a preserved bronze figurehead of a tentacled sea monster.

The dream changed slightly. I was in a building that I believe to be my home. The priest had returned with five others. One was a dark-haired woman and there was a younger man who worked as a lawyer. They were all wearing white robes and gathered close around me. They seemed friendly but were very curious about me for some reason. They discussed me but I was unsure what they were talking about. The Sentinel appeared behind me in the form of a female, someone I believed to be a relative.
"She is already pregnant," she said, dashing their plans. They were dismayed.
"What do we do now? We're running out of time." The woman said to the others. I was under the impression that they needed a body, or perhaps to conceive a child, in order to extend their lifetime, and the priest was reaching his deadline.

The others left, talking amongst themselves with no more interest in me, but the priest remained. We spoke briefly, and then he began to fit and convulse. His robes had darkened from white to black. I rushed over and supported his body to help him, even though I was aware that it may have been a ploy. He recovered quickly, thanked me for my assistance and then left.

    10. Close LD and pre-LD

After over a year, dreaming has caught my attention again because I meditate every day (for about 2 weeks now)

a few days ago I was taking a nap. Because of more awareness and sleep deprivation I was able to fall asleep without drifting entirely away. I couldn't move and realized I must be sleeping, but I forced myself to wake up because I thought I heard steps

I decided to wait if I get a similar experience in the next few days.

Today I took a nap too, again with sleep deprivation. I was falling asleep and forced myself to stay in control. It was a little bit like WILD I guess, but I couldn't quite control everything when I was dreaming, the clarity and vividness were below average and the duration was ridiculous.

I remember being in the ocean at first. I knew I was dreaming so I tried to dive and breathe water. It worked, but not as good as I expected. I was floating underwater and observing a reef. I forgot that I was dreaming for a few moments, but I remembered it again when I saw a cat with a jetpack. I normally don't dream about such unrealistic things, but this time I did *shrugs*

I tried to make the cat-dream go away, took me about 20 seconds until I was on a street in a friendly looking neighborhood. Except there were huge weapons in every garage. I even had to destroy 2 weapons because they seemed to want to kill me when I stepped on their property. I didn't quite have control over this dream, I was however able to remember that it's just a dream and I was able to just walk away from the deadly weapons. I walked over to a guy who sold some random things, and I remembered that people in dreams often say interesting things, so I tried to talk with him. I didn't say anything, I just stared at him and expected him to say something but he simply stared back. I was trying really hard to make him say something, but then I woke up.

I might take another nap after my daily meditation and see if I can continue this dream.

      Dream 1 - Museum Crypts
I'm walking around someones property, it's a large grassy hill with a big house at the top and a big museum off somewhere to left... It's dark out now, I'm with someone but I don't know who, they don't seem important. After approaching the house at the top of the hill I walk around it, I distinctly remember looking up at it from the back and seeing it from a specific angle, which comes back later on...
Next I go to the museum, there's a crypt in there and some treasure to be found, dungeon booty. I progress through a marble entrance and then down some steps and find myself in the first section of the crypt, there are guardians here that defend the crypt, I kick the shit out of them... They seem to be lesser beast and stuff.
One more thing I should note... I'm immortal in this dream. People can try kill me but it never seems to damage me, and I also never seem to age, making me officially a bad-ass in my mind .
One of the guardians is a vampire , but not the lame sparkling kind -.- ... He looked exactly like Ben Kingsley and wore a dark sinister outfit with red trimming, in his hand he held a demonic looking sword. I met him as I was continuing my descent into the now-evil-cave-like tomb, where he stopped me in front of the final gate.
I knew that a special 'key' was needed to get in. It was made of three pieces, of which I possessed 2.. The key looked like a 1 metre long stone snake with ruby eyes, and I had the tail and mid-section of it. The vampire was particularly powerful, he killed my friend via decapitation and vowed to stand at the gate to prevent anyone from entering...

After suffering a demoralizing defeat I retreated. Some time must have passed as I seemed to have forgotten about the crypt, maybe 10 years?
Now I was with some new friends, one of which was the owner of the house on the grassy hill, he seemed young (20s) and had white hair, we went with a few others to the house and found it was burned down :/. I see the house from the same angle that I viewed the building originally, except only the framework was left, which was blackened and charred... We decided to go check out the crypt next.

We're walking through the crypt and encounter some weaker guardians, like stone knights or something. I kind of feel the memories come back, realizing I hadn't warned my comrades of the dangers here... We then encounter the gate, which a menacing man stands in front of, facing us with a blank stare. At first he seems lifeless, we walk around him and I suddenly start to remember him as the guardian vampire... I now realize he isn't actually dead . Well.. I mean he is a vampire so he is technically dead, but you know what I mean.
Next comes an epic battle, he surprise attacks my friend by kicking him 50 metres away where he slams into the other side of the room... we're all pretty damn strong and end up fighting him in something like a 5v1 showdown. I get the last piece of the snake and place it in the gate. Not sure what really happened to the fight, but we're now inside a huge treasure room with mountains of gold, gems, and jewellery. I think the battle starts continuing on behind me and I make a dash to a ledge.. On this ledge there's a nearby cat too, I think? I see a beautiful necklace with bronze wiring wrapping around three gems of sapphire and think to myself that my girlfriend would love it.. So I take my school backpack off and put it in.. Then I wake up..

Kind of got random towards the end as I was starting to wake up.

    12. The Haunted Pirate Ship

by , 07-23-2015 at 03:12 AM (Xanous' Dream Journal)
      #455 - DILD - 1:12AM

I am on a haunted pirate ship and become lucid. I try to sink the ship by biting sections of it, but eventually find the remainder of a dead body. My wife helps me take the body out as I find the teeth in my mouth. I spit them out and wake up.
I am trying to ship from some type of pirate ship. I have an encounter with a ghost that doesn't seem too scary, but then another ghastly one pops out of a wall and scares me. I jump back and find myself on the shore. I see P from work and I say something about only being able to take that in small doses. My heart is racing and take a moment to calm down. I notice that I am holding book and must have had my head in there. I actually enjoyed having such a vivid fright now that it's over.

I walk down a long deck and get back on the pirate ship. I need to find the source of the haunting so all of this will stop. I think maybe I should sink the ship, but as I am walking around the deck I realize that I must be dreaming. The dream almost fades here, but I focus visually on the ocean and the dock below. Everything becomes much more vivid and I continue on my way.

I wonder around many areas of the ship still caught up in the plot and trying to find a way to end the haunting. I see a section of piping coming out of a wall and wonder if I could just eat the ship apart. I bite the piping several times, but only feel as though me teeth pass through and clamp down on nothing. I give up and wonder to the aft of the ship.

My lucidity slips and I somehow find myself standing outside the ship and I open it like a car trunk. Water spills out along with bags of human remains. There is blood and gore mixed in and I decide that if we free this poor person the haunting will stop. My randomly shows up and helps me out. As some point I stop because I somehow get the corpse's teeth in my mouth. I spit them out with gooey blood into the water. I'm in shock as I watch the teeth float with globs of blood as I start to wake up.

Another super long dream about a boy meeting with Godzilla, but the police want to control the meeting. I help the boy try to avoid the police as Godzilla comes on a train. There is a confusing run from the cops and the boy gets away, but I am caught. I sit in a chair surrounded by some tough looking guys. They tell me this is my life now and I accept it.

My wife wants to buy a house, but we have some agreement to stay a night before we decide. The more I look my more ridiculous things I find wrong with the house. I make the decide not to buy the house and my wife is very upset. I tell her that I might be able to over look a few things if it wasn't in town. I push the point that we need to actually sell our house first.

    13. Journey to Lucidity - First lucid occurrences and practices that lead me to them

      by , 07-23-2015 at 01:25 AM
      Lucid for a second
      Some time ago...last year...

After practising reality checks for a while...the reality check was usually looking at my hands and counting my fingers.

I do this test in a dream a couple of times on different nights. One time I realise I am dreaming but then lose it a second later, next time I count more fingers than I should have but then convince myself I am not actually dreaming! This happens in about two other dreams...I almost realise I am dreaming, I do the reality checks, but then I don't take myself seriously and even though I see something abnormal like six fingers I don't believe I am in a dream.

On reflection, I think I was not doing reality checks correctly and they had become a habit and reflex action rather than a point of true focus and questioning. I was so used to doing them like a chore throughout the day that that's all they became in a dream and didn't alert me to anything different

Lucid For Another Second Some time in April this year while away on holiday

I almost become lucid... I am sitting talking to my friend in one of our favourite locations and I realises that the context is wrong. Hang on, I can't be here, because I am still on holiday in a different state, I think. The dream is really clear and focused, more focused than they usually are. But I don't do anything about this realisation that they context is wrong because I then wake up - perhaps the realisation actually woke me up or perhaps there was a noise in the room.

My first lucid dream (?) 14/6/2015

After joining Lucid Academy. Lucid Academy - Harnessing the Power of Lucid Dreaming
This course didn't have any profound new information, but the way it was set out was the first thing that actually motivated me to actually stay with the practices. Sean Kelly tells us it is a mistake to just look at whether we Lucid Dream or not as whether we have succeeded or not. Instead we need to focus on all the small ways we have succeeded eg. beginning to remember more dreams, dreams becoming more clear etc. even if we hadn't actually had a lucid dream. His positive approach really had a big influence on me in terms of motivation - he gets you to focus on the fact that you will lucid dream - it is inevitable if you keep doing the work, and to look at it as you are already half way there just by taking an interest in lucid dreaming and overcoming certain initial obstacles.

About two weeks in I had been doing the practices he recommends - writing down my dreams, remembering them every night, setting intentions before bed, doing 10+ reality checks per day, changing the symbols that remind me to do the reality checks, learning and understanding more about prospective memory.

I woke up after around 8 hours of sleep...more than I usually get. I got up went to the bathroom etc. Then I wrote down my dreams, went back to bed and thought strongly about the last dream, seeing myself becoming Lucid. (MILD).

      I fell into a dream:

I woke up after having another dream (I am 'awakening' in a dream) and peered at my alarm clock on my bedside table, trying to read the time. (In 'reality' my clock wasn't sitting on the bedside table but across the room on my bookshelf). My eyes feel so blurry with sleep that I can't read the time properly.

Next think I know, I'm in the car with D. We are driving somewhere - to a restaurant for dinner. I push the seat back down to lie back as I am really tired. It is D's car. I close my eyes and doze for a bit. When I open them D is still driving but we are in my car??

Next I am back at my house sitting at the table writing down my dreams in my dream diary. D's mate B is there about to head off after a day's work. I look at the time...it is now around 8:30pm at night. Huh? When I was in the car it was evening, so the rest of the night and then a whole day has passed.
"Wait, wait" I stop everyone (My mum is there, D is there and B is there).
"What is happening? I Can't remember what happened tonight, or today" I say. "How did it go from morning to night?"
I sit there very confused and feel a strange sensation wash over me as I try really hard to remember. Everything is a blank. What happened before....there is nothing but a blank like I've never had before. Complete blank

I KNOW before I even do a reality check that I am dreaming. Everything seems to slow down and it's as if an inner voice whispers "you are dreaming". I look at my hand and it's blurry. I look again and count the flinger and there are more fingers than I usually have. I do the palm push and my fingers don't actually go through but when I look at my hand again there is a thumb, and then two fingers sprouting off my index finger!

"I'm dreaming!!!" I half expect to be woken up by the realisation but I seem to be keeping my cool.

When I look up I'm in some kind of outside market. The stalls are very close together so that it is like a maze walking through them. I'm still lucid - I can feel a pressure on my body and it's as if it's hard to walk (it reminds me a bit of the feeling of being stoned - feeling a pressure from all around me). I don't like the crowded market place - I don't want to waste my time shopping when I am dreaming and the place is a bit scary.

I close my eyes (or do I?) and think *take me to the pyramids* I open them but I am still there in the market place!!! What?
I try again, harder, but it doesn't work.
I look up at the moon above my head and try to jump up towards it. I do jump higher than I normally would and with a feeling of lightness - floating down rather than thumping down. And yet I can't seem to get higher than that, and I feel a strong pressure especially around my ankles and wrists as if I am wearing invisible shackles. They are making all my movements hard.

I look up at the full moon again and say/think HIGHER SELF NOW (which is a technique that is supposed to help if you are astral projecting).

Suddenly the moon is rushing towards me (it appears to be rushing towards me but actually I am flying fast up towards it I think). I stop up high somewhere. There is something above my head blocking me.
A deep voice (higher self??!) talks to me and tells me things I can no longer remember. Not particularly good things.
A list materialises with some of these things - they are not necessarily bad things either but I am a little scared and confused - this doesn't have the good feeling of 'higher self' I imagined, in fact there is definitely something off. I realise I am in a cage! It is like I am in a dungeon that is high in the sky. It's damp and the cross hatched iron gate is covered in green slime. I don't panic but look out the gate. I hear a gruff voice bark orders for the men to pack up and go - getting the ladies out on the way. I find myself released out it to a room where women are packing fresh fruit and vegetables to take with.

There are definitely a lot of questions that this experience raised for me. In terms of symbolism there is definitely some interesting indicators of feeling trapped/helpless/restricted. However I think the last part of my dream was influenced by a book that I was reading before bed about how when Emperors died in Ancient China the Empresses were moved into a monastery and it felt like a prison to them after the royal life they were used to.

Around about the time after travelling to the moon I think I lost lucidity, but I can't pinpoint where. When I woke up from this I was confused as to whether or not I had actually lucid dreamed. For so long I thought I would have the experience, and wake up excited but I woke up feeling confused and mixed. I told my partner about my experiences and he said "you don't sound very excited about it. If you have to question it it's not a lucid dream." (He bases this on his 3 short lucid experiences.
I feel like it was a lucid dream I realised it was a dream, did a test, and kept control of my thoughts for the next little while. I had a much greater body awareness/sensation.

But why was it so hard to pinpoint where I actually lost lucidity?
Why was it so hard to control my environment?
Did my past experience on weed (only ever done 2 times) influence how I felt or expected to feel?

Dream incubation - how can i successfully practice objectless samatha on a daily basis?
      No concluded answer from dream.

We were in the front yard of my girlfriends house, me my dad and some other person I do not know we're trying to open a box. My dad had a knife and a knife sharpener and begin to sharpen the knife on the wrong side. I pointed this out to him and he said oops and then he began to sharpen the knife on the correct side. The other guy who was there began to talk s*** to my dad. I thought if this guy goes any further I might have to hit him to defend my dad.

    15. Taking a nice calming walk

      by , 07-22-2015 at 08:15 PM
I noticed something was different while standing in my bedroom and I did a nose reality check and realize that I was dreaming. I proceeded to walk to my front door step outside in this dog reminded me of my dog when I was a child came to greet me. I petted the dog for a little while then the dog was off to do what he was doing. Then these two other aggressive dogs approached me out of the blue and started to attack me, I was not scared because I knew I was dreaming and they could not hurt me. They bit and chewed on my arms for a little bit but as I accepted that they soon disappeared without a trace. I thought to myself that the whole objective of this lucid dream is to remain calm and stabilize the dream exploring the surrounding environment. I tried to stay aware and as relaxed as possible as I walked around the apartment complex observing the people and the differences in the environment. As I approached the main road the task of the month popped into my mind so I plan to visit a restaurant if I could. This did not happen because I felt as if my physical body was becoming tense thru excitement of just thinking about completing the task of a month. At this point the dream faded but then reappeared with me lying down feeling my physical body observing a dream environment with the tree overhead. It was very interesting to be in my physical body while observing completely a dream environment .
