    1. Farewell Box

      by , 02-20-2011 at 01:40 PM
      NON-LUCID

      1) I was given an empty container the size of a shoebox by my friend Steven. D. It was light blue, and had a small piece of paper stuck to the front with a message on it. The message was a farewell, as I was leaving to go to college, and he was going to a different one to me. However, in his message he stated that he'd miss me when I went to study music at The Pyramids (a local gig venue). This confused me. The handwriting was very scribbly. A couple of times throughout reading the letter, I shook the container, only to be dissapointed that there was nothing inside.

      2) I was browsing the Dreamviews forums, and I went on Steven (the guy from the last dream)'s forum-based dream journal. He had been getting a lot more success with Lucid Dreaming than me. He left a comment on one of his posts that the youtube celebrity RayWilliamJohnson had commented on one of his dreams. After reading this, I had to see it for myself, and read the dream. I couldn't find the RWJ comment, but instead found the first post, that had been posted by a moderator of DV. It stated that Steven had used incestual sex with his Nan to attain lucidity..

I'm pretty miffed that I didn't manage to attain lucidity that night, as the whole of the second dream was ABOUT lucid dreams. God damn it!

    2. Dreamviews, and An Epic Quest

      by , 01-17-2011 at 04:40 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
Took 100mg of B6 before I went to bed last night, then another 100mg during WBTB. I also decided to do my self-hypnosis technique, but that didn't work out very well when my cat kept stepping on me every five minutes.

      1- Dreamviews of the Future
((Note: this was a very abstract dream and most of it is really difficult to put into words.))
Dreamviews is a physical place; I am exploring all of their new "features." I walk past a long line of people carrying musical instruments, whom I discover are all trying out for the new Dreamviews Marching Band.

Next, I am looking at some dream journals. Each journal is it's respective member's private home, or inner sanctuary. I visit at mine first and am somewhat disturbed to find a long and very explicit dream written out for all the world to see. Why would I post that in such detail?

I think of where I want to go next. I have been talking to Alice (from Resident Evil), and we have grown to be pretty close friends. So I decide to see what her journal is like. I should have known; entrance to her journal is painful and treacherous, as it is guarded by an imposing mound of thorns. Her "inner sanctuary" is more like an internal Hell, imprisoning her within her own dark thoughts. Poor Alice... I want to comfort her, but she resides in the very core of this prison. The dream ends as I am working my way towards her.

      2- Saved by the Goddess
My getaway will be simple. Ditch these clothes, change into the ones left over by those imbeciles, and escape through the window. I have thought of everything; except, however, drawing the shades. One of the Emperor's cronies has spied me from the open window and has called for backup. My means of escape has quickly become my downfall.

I leap out the window anyway, and break into a run. There is still a chance I can get away, though now it will be far more difficult.

I make it as far as the road, a dry stretch of unpaved dirt, before I am surrounded. The Emperor and his men have me covered on three sides; the Dark Forest, brimming with werewolves and other man-eating atrocities, stands imposingly to my remaining side. They do not expect me to risk such a fate.

An Elven girl a few years my elder, one who I used to call Sister, grabs my arm and secures a handcuff around one wrist. "Come quietly, Princess. There is no way out." Before she can cuff my other wrist, I kick her roughly away, dodge around the Emperor's men, and take off into the forest. They dare not follow, but they don't need to. Almost immediately I am faced with a Hunter; a soul-sucking once human that reeks of fear and decay. One of the Emperor's favorite pets. He actually sent the Hunters after me? I don't know whether to be hurt or flattered.

Rather than have my soul taken, I quickly dart back to the edge of the forest where the trees are less dense. Hunters, along with all the other forms of Demon-spawn, would burn in this light. However, it also means that I am once more vulnerable to the soldiers...

To my amazement, a voice in by head booms, "Stay behind me!" Suddenly a large brown creature is running in front of me, which I recognize instantly as one of the envoys of the gods. I follow him without hesitation as he guides me through the treacherous forest. The sound of the soldiers' bewilderment from the forest's edge makes me smirk.

One out of the forest, I am met with one of my comrades at the outskirts of an old town. It is nighttime now, and avoiding the Demon-spawn will be more difficult. The envoy wishes me luck and is gone.

As soon as he disappears, we are attacked by a small shadow creature. A church is nearby, emitting light from it's stained glass windows. I throw the creature into the light, but it merely cackles. "That won't work on meeee!" it screeches. "I am not a mere shade! HE gave birth to me from his very flesh!" The creature flies directly at my face. I hold it back as my companion opens a vortex in the ground, which makes quick work of the enemy.

"We need to get inside," I instruct. But as soon as we enter the church, we are met by something potentially more dangerous than shadow creatures: crazed religious fanatics.

"Witches!" the ladies cry. "Burn them! Kill the witches!"

"Wait!" I protest. "We just want shelter here, same as you."

The ladies continue with their cries of death and burning until the oldest of them calls them to silence. She looks at my friend and I knowingly and points to the wall. "What does it say?" she asks me.

A single, three letter word is etched into the wall. Her. I repeat the word with some amusement. This church was once a temple to the Goddess. How ironic.

The lady details a story in which Merinia, an earth Goddess, was kidnapped and taken prisoner by the Demon King. Her power could easily have defeated the demons, if only she'd had her staff. The sacred object, however, had been stolen from her and lost somewhere in the world.

I stare at the lady in shock as she hands me a beautiful, intricately carved staff. "Is this...?" She nods.

      "Save her," she tells me.

I exit the temple/church. Demon-spawn emerge from the ground almost instantly, but the incredibly power of Merinia's staff kills them all with a single blow. I am in awe.

Time passes. I have rescued the Goddess (though, it's more like She rescued me), and am now celebrating with my friends.

((Note: I don't think the name in the dream was given as Merinia. I know it started with an M, but I couldn't find an actual earth based goddess with a similar name, and since I couldn't remember it I had to make one up.))
    3. November 19th - November 20th 2010 - Fragments 1

      by , 11-21-2010 at 10:46 AM (Shinoda's Dream Journal)
Alright, I only have fragments of this one since I woke up, wrote down notes and went back to sleep. When I woke up again, I had forgotten the dream and all I have is the notes to go by... I remember the dream was a long one and everything in the notes are part of the same dream.

      I was in a mall.
There was a dog that bite me and held on to my right arm. I was tossing him around and it didn't hurt. (Kinda as if I was wearing one of those dog trainer suits)

I was walking home and a guy with glasses in a car stooped by to talk to me, I think he was a family member (False Memory). He had a bobblehead of HIMSELF in the car.

A guy that lived in his truck (I don't recall ANYTHING about that but it's in my notes)

There was a guy I was arguing with for something I can't recall. He used a projector showing DreamViews to prove a point that I didn't catch on (I bet he was trying to make me lucid and I was too dumb for it to click).

There were weird elevators. (Even if it's not in my previous entries, I know I had multiple dreams in the past with odd elevators. I might be discovering a dreamsign here)
    4. #141. Extranormals

I don't think I've been getting email notifications for the past few days. Weird.

He's killed, just like that. His daughter, seven years old, is alone in their apartment across town. I'm the daughter.

I slip from the bed, tiny and blonde and short-haired, and push open the door to the rest of the apartment. Somehow, I'm not surprised to see a man there. The man is stocky and blond, and I can see that he's grinning when the orange light from the window hits his face.

I incline my head. "Sir." I say, my voice neutral.

He grins wider and nods back. I step back into the doorway of my bedroom, and he brushes past me into the bright light of the hallway.

He'll be back, if only to keep an eye on me. I need to leave.

I'm a man in a black suit, sitting in the back of a black car, which is driving to the outskirts of a town in Illinois. And we're in Illinois, of course, because the Organization tracked an Extranormal here. One false move, one positive test, and suddenly Jane Doe (Age 17, Grade 12, parents work from home) is about to be assassinated by a team of armed government goons.

It's funny. Extranormals can't strictly be barred from going to school, or holding regular jobs. Hell, they can even travel. Different countries have different restrictions, of course, but the good ol' US of A is all about liberty. The Organization can track them, though. Legality's a little fuzzy, but some real dangerous ones pop up occasionally. What to do with them?

Here's the thing: Extranormals go crazy all the time. They lose control of their powers and suddenly they're either a human icicle or a pile of ashes. Most of the time they take innocent bystanders with them. It's really no problem at all to fake a meltdown. Kill the EN, murder all the bystanders, blow shit up. It's easy.

This one's powers are a little more subtle, so no flashy special effects. Fortunately, ENs tend to be a little crazy to begin with, so it wouldn't be unheard of for one to suddenly... snap. Possibly kill her entire family with a butcher knife. Double murder-suicide, neat and clean.

The man in the passenger seat has the knife.

We pull up the gravel driveway. The other three men silently open their doors and step out. I hide a grin by turning toward the empty road as I step out of the car. No one's coming.

The plan is to enter the house and kill the parents, then ambush the girl when she comes home from school.

      Neat and clean.

      Except.

Her father died ten years ago.

Her mother died even before that.

And Jane Doe is a really stupid pseudonym.

The only person in the house is the lodger who rents out the basement. That lodger is an Extranormal himself, a young black man who's trying to lie low. Obviously, that's not working out.

I can sense him in the front entrance of the house, ready to attack the first man who comes in. I give the all-clear to the other men.

The man with the knife kicks open the door and walks into an ambush. I shoot the other two in the back.

Once upon a time, there was a man in a black suit. The man was supposed to sit in the back of a black car, and break into a house, and help murder an entire family. While he was still alive, this man used to really hate shapeshifters.

    5. Posting to Dreamviews dreamjournal

by , 07-15-2010 at 05:14 PM (Visions in the Dark)
I had a dream last night that I was posting to my dreamjournal on Dreamviews. I was taking the time to type out several dream fragments and their details, change the colour of the fonts and stuff, but unfortunately I cannot remember the details of the the dream fragments that I was typing out now, even though I knew what they were in the dream.

    6. Morning of June 28th 2010

      by , 06-28-2010 at 06:07 PM (Slash's Mind Cave)
So, this morning, I has a pretty awesome dream. I did in fact become lucid in it, for the first time in a long while.

The first I remember of the dream was that there was a bunch of DV members, and we were racing through the sky, flying. I know there was more before that lead up to this, but I just cannot remember. The people who I remember were definitely there, was Tyler and DuB, and I think ninja too. There was a load more, at least 5 or 6 more, but I don't remember who they were. So, we were flying in the sky, and below us was the weirdest sight ever. The ground was like made of huge 2D squares, some higher and some lower. So the ground wasn't all connected together, it was really weird. It was also kind of blue-ish. I think it was part sea, and part land. Very strange thing to see.

We came up to a wooden building in the sky, where we took a break (The race wasn't competitive, just a little bit of fun), and some of us were just playing around out side, flying around the building, etc. And then one of the DV members, possibly DuB pushed me, and I started to fall to the ground, and I couldn't fly back up.

Then, as I was falling, I had the strangest sudden realisation it was a dream. I just kinda went "wait, THIS IS A DREAM OMG" and then I instantly flew back up to the building where everyone was.
I started jumping around all excited. I'm surprised I didn't wake up, actually. But, I did actually say to myself while I was jumping about, "Ah, I'm gunna wake up at this rate", so I calmed it down a bit. I was still excited though. So I ran around happy, and I told everyone that it is a dream. I started flying around too, shouting at everyone, going "Guy's it's a fucking dream, do a fucking reality check"
Then one by one, each of them started to do their reality checks, and they all "became lucid" too.
At the time, I was slightly deluded, and I thought they were all the real people (i.e. Dream sharing) But I don't think it was a shared dream.

We all started to show off all our skills. One of them did a back flip or something while flying. Then I went "Hah, that's nothing", and I stood straight up, and the Iron Man suit (Iron Man suit is practically my signature style in LDs) started to go on me, like in Iron Man 2 where he puts the case down and stands on it, and the suit goes on him. Like this:

I felt so awesome while doing that. Then I flew up a bit, to show off my thrusters, etc. Then dropped back down. Then I think someone else put on an Iron Man suit.

My memory is getting a bit fuzzy at this point, but I know there wasn't much left of the dream before I woke up.
The little wooden building turned into a house, where we all lived. (I guess I lost control of the situation. But I was still lucid)
And I remember that Tyler was sick, or something, so he was lying in bed.

And that is really all I remember. Some other stuff happened in Tyler's room, like flying around or something, but I don't remember well enough to say.

    7. Adrenaline High

      by , 06-28-2010 at 04:57 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
I didn't post yesterday due to some really terrible recall, but today the problems seems to be fixed!

      1- Bravery
Dark forces are gathering; they will strike tonight. For unknown reasons, I seem to be their main target. Oh well. I won't be going down without a fight. My only two allies on this hellish night are my dad and my brother. I don't bother telling them that this is a suicide mission, they'll figure it out soon enough.

I hear helicopters overhead as I walk out the back door. That blasted goblin is already at it... the sun isn't even down yet. "I doubt I'll be getting ANY sleep tonight," I mutter to my dad as we crouch down under the deck, out of sight of the helicopters. I realize that a fight is imminent; I can only hope that I fight as well as I do in my dreams. Because this is real, and I won't be coming back if I should fail. ((Ummmm..... ))

I have armed myself with an axe somewhere along the line, and as I'm waiting I mutter to myself, "My axe is my buddy/ I never leave without him/ Me and my axe/ Will turn your neck to a bloody fountain." The words make me feel stronger, less afraid of what is to come. ((Note: I've never listened to ICP in my life. I just happen to know those few words. Thanks, Z. ))

I hear rustling in the trees. It must be the goblin or one of his cronies. "I'm going to go check it out," I whisper to my dad, sneaking off toward the noise. As I reach the trees, a feral dog leaps from the shadows, hitting me with such force that my axe goes flying. By some miracle, I manage to keep my balance. But now I'm weaponless. "Hurry UP!" I yell at my dad and my brother as the dog tears at my bare arms. I can't let it get near my face...

My backup arrives, but they aren't much help. My dad is stabbing at the dog with a letter opener, but no damage is being done. I realized that it is possessed with dark energy, and its skin is impenetrable. I realize what must be done.

My dad drops the letter opener, and I quickly snatch it up and brutally stab the dog's eyes out. If anything, at least now it won't be able to see us. But to my satisfaction, I see that I have done much more than blind the once-dog. The skin around where its eyes used to be peels back, revealing the inside of it's hollowed out head. I must have released the energy possessing it, now it is a mere shell with no life force.

Thinking that I am finished, I take a step back... Only to spot an identical dog crouching in the foliage. Before it has a chance to attack, I lunge at it with the letter opener, sending two quick and powerful jabs with the letter opener into each of it's eyes. It now shares the same fate as its partner.

Now I'm angry. Those dogs didn't deserve such cruelty. How dare he use innocents for his own evil desires? I will make him pay dearly.

I remember now that there is an object in my possession that neither the goblin nor his cronies can touch. I think about fusing this with water. If I put such a combination in a squirt gun, they couldn't come within 5 feet of me without having their skin boiled off. It would be perfect!
      ((Unfortunately, I wake up.))

      2- Post Apocalyptic
The world has ended, and somehow it is all my fault. I am wanted throughout the world for my crimes; everywhere I go, I am chased down by both the police and by regular people hoping to get rewarded with my capture. I finally find a nice couple who will shelter me, and discover that my brother is also staying with them. Something seems a bit... off, though. Despite their kindness, I don't trust the couple at all.

Even though they tell me otherwise, I believe that my parents are still alive. I go off one day to find them. This, as one would expect, didn't end well. I don't remember exactly what happened, but it involves the "nice" couple trying to kill me and my brother. I do eventually find my parents alive and well, at least.

      3- Vice President (fragment)
My mother has accepted a job to become vice president... of Europe. ((Note: I believe this fragment has some connection with why that goblin was after me, but I can't remember.))

      4- Accent (fragment)
A man says Samael's name in an incredibly sexy accent.

    8. 6/26/10

      by , 06-26-2010 at 03:52 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      1- "Da" Language
I have made a chart of some weird dream language called the "Da Language." I post it on MM, and The Cusp replies that it sounds like a dream version of Japanese. He thinks the two languages could be related. ((What's with all these dreams I have about The Cusp?)) We also get into a conversation about "swarms." We both seem to have noticed that large swarms of insects often appear in dreams, stinging the dreamer without mercy.

      2- Ignoring Lucidity
I am taking a walk through the woods with my dad. I tell him that we have to live in the woods for a week so that we can go on our Shamanic Vision Quest. He is not really on board with the idea...

Later, I am being chased by a wannabe Freddy Krueger. I am flying in the air above him, taunting and laughing. For some stupid reason, I'm trying to suppress the fact that I know I'm dreaming. The idea that this is a dream is tickling the corner of my mind, but I refuse to acknowledge it.

      3- Patience Medici
I am fighting with my fake brother over a magazine. The magazine contains an article about Patience Medici, and I tell him that I HAVE to read it because its the only non-Russian explanation I can find. My fake mother tells me to stop fighting and to go get another magazine. I wake myself up saying, "But I had it first!"
    9. We Dreamers Begin Recreating The World

by , 06-19-2010 at 05:19 PM (A World In My Head!!)
      May 6, 2010

Synopsis: Second dream. After becoming lucid I remember why I'm here, to create a dream world with other members of DreamViews. But in the dry desert, I lose my lucidity all too soon.

We Dreamers Begin Recreating The World
I'm in a small room, and the atmosphere is comfortable. I'm with friends, but friends to be honest, I barely know. Still I like everyone so far. Some of my new friends are explaining something to me, but I really don't understand it. They're talking about things that seem far-fetched and impossible. Others were turning their crazy ideas into art projects. One slightly plump blonde shows me her artsy project.

I think the reason why I don't understand the conversation is because it has to do something with lucidity, a conversation I can only understand if I am lucid.

We go outside to do what were supposed to be doing, but since I didn't understand the conversation, I have no idea what that is. So really, I just walk around confused. I waste some time wondering around this
dry city thinking about this and that, trying to buy my time. Did I mention that this place looks dry? Because it looks like someone just plumped a city right in the middle of a desert and it's kind of depressing looking.

I run into Dannon. He tells me how he's accomplishing the goal we all set out to do on the other side of the highway! He shows off his fancy new dream car. Other cars have to drive on the highway, but his super fancy car seems to just fly over them! His car is super fast and in the blink of an eye he's already past the horizon. I become lucid!!

I decide to fly the old fashioned way and grow some gargoyle wings. I start flying over this desert highway, but it's a long flight and it's boring. Luckily, I finally remembered what 'our' goal was - to create a world that we of DreamViews could all dream in
together! And we chose this ugly desert city because, well, how much worse could we possibly do? This boring place was a blank slate to practice our dream magic on.

And I need a lot of practice. How about crossing this highway effortlessly for one? Why not get a nice dream ride? I run into Aquanina, she wants a nice dream ride too, but for different reasons I think. I remember seeing a car place just down the street so I suggest that maybe we should see what this dream has to offer. We just need some money. Money isn't a problem, we both laugh because for us dreamers,
money is easy. I just imagine lots and lots of money pouring into my pockets. Suddenly my pockets become heavy, too heavy. I look and my pockets are filled with solid gold coins!

"That's a bit dramatic don't you think?" That's me complaining to my subconscious "How about converting those coins into dollar bills instead? Thanks?"

My pockets become lighter and double check to make sure there's still money in there. All good to go! (my lucidity is slipping) We walk on over to the only place in town selling cars. It's a neat place. Colorful and artsy graffiti, curvy walls. I think this car place used to be a skateboaring hangout. We even had to slide down to the next level.

There was only one car!! That's it ONE car? I guess I should have known, this is a craptactular town. There's nothing special about the car either. I was kind of hoping the perfect dream vehicle would just be right here waiting for me to drive it/fly it/traverse space with it! I guess I was whining out loud, because the car dealer shakes her head (btw, its not often I see a FEMALE car dealer)

"You're going about this the wrong way!" She explains "So the car is simple. So is this bouncy ball." This bouncy ball magically appears is. She bangs it up against the wall and it goes on a bouncing spring all over the place, we had to duck! "It's what you do with it that really matters"

She's right! I'm forgetting my dream magic!
We could use the car as an easy base to mold and redesign to our licking. But I woke up before I got to try.

I'm not sure if I could call this one a shared dream. It didn't really feel like one. But it sure gives me a lot of ideas
Dannon and Aquanina weren't the only people in my dream. I remember running into at least five other people who I just didn't recognize.
    10. I Can Fly! Time to Visit Dannon

by , 06-19-2010 at 04:43 PM (A World In My Head!!)
      April 29, 2010

Synopsis: I think I'm dreaming. I test it by trying to fly! Lucid, I remember my dream goal of trying to dream share with Dannon

I Can Fly! Time To Visit Dannon
I was thinking about how lately my dreams have been tricking me. I was just minding my own business staring at the wall wondering, what if this is a dream? It doesn't look or feel like a dream.

But as I walked around and stared at the living room, something felt out of place. I had to be sure! What if I'm dreaming? I get a crazy idea to go outside and try to fly. I run down the steps and stand under the street light. I think about flying but nothing happens. Mom runs outside yelling at me, asking me what I'm doing! It's pretty late and she doesn't like me outside alone after dark, I can't blame her, we do have a lot of car thieves in this neighborhood. But I had to go outside! I had to double check.

I tell mom "I'm trying to fly". . . "You're trying to fly?" . . . "Yes, in a dream I can fly. What if this is all a dream?" Mom seems star struck, and just looks at the sky wondering the same thing. I walk forward while staring at the sky. This makes me trip when the ground level changes. I land in muddy water and scrape myself pretty badly. Mom runs over, helps me up and yells at me again.

One side of my head is lecturing me "See, this isn't a dream! You're going to get seriously hurt if you keep this up." But the other side of my head was whispering
"Why don't your scrapes hurt?". I wasn't in any pain at all!

There were 12 year old boys hanging around outside, like a gang patrolling the street. They ask me and mom what
we are doing. Mom blurts out "She's trying to fly!" "She's trying to fly?" They were 12 year olds after all and they seemed pretty dumb. They looked at me as though they were encountering a super hero. "You can fly?" "In dreams I can fly. What if I told you this could be a dream?"

Now that I had everyone's attention, they all wanted to see me fly! They wanted me to prove to them that this was a dream. There's a small creek nearby and I start with that. I run and jump clear across the creek. I just jumped 20 ft, I have to be dreaming! I start to float, then I fly and loop around the small creek as the troop of boys cheer me on. Everyone seems pretty happy to know that this is just a dream. Me too! I haven't been lucid in a long time.

I quickly remember my goal before I fell asleep. I fly away into the city. It's dark and dreary. I want to dream-share with Dannon but I really suck at creating portals. I try to make a few short calls in the dream, but my voice is weak and nothing is happening. So instead of trying to create a portal, I decided to fall into Dannon's dream. I fall backwards while keeping that intention in my head.

When I open my eyes the new dream is just as dark. I can make out something sitting in front of me. It looks goblinish, with glowing eyes and pointy ears. But then I realize it's just a cat! I pet the cat and it purrs sweetly as it lays back down to sleep. Now that the cat is my friend the dream seems to explode to life. I can see everything vividly and in full color. I'm in a living room. I assume it's Dannons because that's who I'm trying to visit. The light is off, but there is a light coming from somewhere illuminating the kitchen.

I call out Dannon's name, but no one answers. I stumble around the place, past the kitchen, until I find a small room where the light was coming from. Dannon is there, bundled up in a blanket, sitting on a comfy chair with the glow of the TV light on his face. Either he's watching a really good show or he's lost in his own thoughts, because his eyes were glazed over.

"Dannon!" But he doesn't respond. I wave my hand over his eyes but he doesn't respond. It's like I'm invisible! There's a clock in the room that says 5:30 am. I wonder if that's supposed my time or his, and if his lack of response means he's actually awake. Well, I came all the way over here! I poke his face. He looks startled that something just touched his face, but when he looks around he sees there's a fly buzzing around. So maybe it was the fly.

The tv was blank, nothing was on. Which disturbs me. I have to get his attention some how. I grab a box of kleenex sitting near him and toss it across the room. At first he seems curious as he gets up to find the source of the noise, but when he realizes his kleenex just flew across the room he looks freaked out.

Dannons eyes scan the room for some malicious entity invading his space. He looks serious now! Like he's about to do some banishing ritual on me. Well that didn't work. I decide this dream isn't working out. I need to re-try teleporting to Dannon's dream. I think this Dannon might just be a dream character, I tell him goodbye anyways and that I'm going to try again!

But that's when I wake up
    11. Samael, Serenity, and Loaf

      by , 06-19-2010 at 12:04 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
It's only a bit after 6:30 as I begin typing this, so I suppose I should still be sleeping. I'm just way to amused at the dreams I had to get back to sleep, though.

      1- A Final Deed
Samael and I are roommates at some apartment. I am not myself; I am an ex-vigilante woman who has been diagnosed with incurable cancer. Samael asks me why I don't help people anymore, and I say that I have lost faith in the world.

There is a new girl who has moved in next door, and something about her interests me. I suggest to her that she should speak with Samael. The next night, I am sitting on a bench outside our apartment when the new girl and Samael arrive together from a date they just had. I am delighted to see how well they are getting along; they're practically soulmates! I'm glad that I got to do one last good deed before I die.

      2- Annoying Class
We are supposed to be taking some test, but nobody is following instructions. I am talking to my friend Samantha, but she keeps switching back and forth between herself and Serenity. "Hey, I was reading your dream journal, and we both dreamed about a lemonade stand last night," I say to her. (Actually, I say tennis court to start with, then correct myself and say lemonade stand.)

"Oh yeah, I read about that."

"Oh, you did! I remember now that you already commented on it."

In the middle of our conversation, the teacher comes over and says I need to be checked out by the dentist. They strap me into a chair, give me laughing gas, and perform rather painful tests on me. After it is over, one of Samantha/Serenity's friends is laughing at me, saying that the gas made me act retarded.

      3- A Slice of Loaf
I tell my brother that I am excited to get home, because my friend Loaf is going to be staying with us for a while. I explain that he just had his tonsils removed, so he probably won't feel much like talking.

I walk into the front door, and Loaf is laying across my couch eating a bowl of chocolate ice cream. He looks like he's about 15 or 16, possibly older, and he has no hair. My mother has been taking care of him. "Hi Loaf, how are you feeling?"

"I'm in pain," he says happily.

"I would imagine so. Did the surgery go well?"

      "It hurt."

"You mean you could feel it while they were operating on you? Didn't they put you to sleep?"

"Yeah, but I could still feel it." He explains that while they were operating, he dreamed of a woman stabbing him in the throat.

My mom begins to as him a lot of questions about lucid dreaming, such as what got him interested to begin with.

Later, I get attacked by some creatures in a cave, and Loaf rescues me.
    12. A Lot of WTF Moments

      by , 06-18-2010 at 01:51 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
All day yesterday I felt sort of drained. Even when I was doing active things, such as Karate, I felt like it was a struggle to keep my eyes open. Not sure what that was all about, but it made recall throughout the night a bit difficult.

      1- Fading to Nothingness
The first part of the dream is indecipherable. Something to do with... karate, maybe. The vague feeling of failure. A convenience store? Or some place with a lot of shelves...

Later, I am lucid, but everything has gone weird. I am watching the dream from above; it looks more like a map than a scene. There is a circle of colored squares; each square represents a dreamer. The big blue square beside me is WakingNomad. He is giving us all instructions of some kind, possibly about shared dreaming. ((If I hadn't had my sun sound mp3 playing in my ears, I wouldn't have even realized that I had woken up a few seconds after this.))

      2- The WTF Ghost Race
In school, but class is a video game. Our eventual goal is to dispel some nasty ghost pirates, but first we have to do a lot of random tasks. There is a map in the top right corner of my vision that has our goal markers on it. First, we are in a hallway that forks off into three other hallways. They all loop back around to the central one. Our goal is to run through these hallways in the right order for quite a good number of times. If we get the order screwed up, we have to start over. Our instructor tells us that the pattern is center, left, right. We run around for ages until we have achieved our first goal.

Next we have to meet up at the pirate king's gravestone. I am no longer paying much attention, because I have a major problem. For some reason, I accidentally brought a pocket knife with me, and I am worried that the teachers will find it and I'll get expelled.

      3- Poor Undead Kitty
We are riding our bikes along the interstate, of all places. I am going faster than some of the cars, which surprises me. Am I really going 60 miles per hour on my bicycle? I abruptly lose balance and topple over, sprawling out face first in the emergency lane. Uninjured, I leap to my feet and move my bike from the middle of the road. Wow, I'm glad that didn't kill me.

My dad and brother have stopped to make sure I am okay. Hey, look! A cat! I walk over to the edge of the woods where a pitiful looking cat is standing, mewing helplessly. I notice that she is missing all her fur... Her skin is pink and purple like the Cheshire cat. "Aww, we can't just leave her here! Let's take her home with us!"

My dad looks at me skeptically. "I'm not taking care of any cat."

"You don't have to! I know Chris can't turn down a stray, so we'll be able to keep it."

My brother picks it up. It now has white, fluffy fur, but I don't notice the difference. We start walking home ((what happened to our bikes?)) when suddenly Steven freaks out. "Uh... we have a problem." Concerned, I go over to him to see what he's talking about. He holds the cat up, showing me it's underside.

Holy crap! The cat has a huge slash going all the way from it's chest to it's belly... AND IT HAS NO ORGANS! It's completely hollow! "How can she still be alive!?"

      4- Hospitality and Time Warps
I am not myself; I am a guy who is aspiring to be a magician. Something terrible happens, and I end up staying with a kind old woman and her husband until I can fix what ever went wrong.

I think I just end up making it worse. I get stuck in some kind of time warp, and now I am apparently a famous hero. People who were supposed to be my companions now have no clue who I am, and they seem to worship me from a distance. A man named Fable, who I had gone to magic school with and who had beaten me numerous times is now a member of some sort of gang. He tells me that he's always admired my strength and wishes that he could become like me.

I don't remember waking up AT ALL last night.

      1- Sumo Wrestler
This dream takes place several years into the future. What ever endeavor my brother has set out to do didn't work, and he has returned in hopes of moving back in with my parents. They say that they were planning on someone else moving in, and he'd have to compete with the other guy to see who gets the extra room. "Fair enough, who is he?"

Suddenly this HUGE sumo wrestler comes into the room and sits down at the table. I burst into laughter.

      2- Elephants
I am trying to get up a hill for some sort of quest, but there are predators all around, waiting to eat me. The only way I can get to the top is by traveling underneath a herd of elephants. ((What is it with me and elephants lately??? At least these weren't trying to kill me.))

      3- Mortal Mist Dream Games
I make a post on MM, describing some dream games I came up with. I say that the games were inspired by The Cusp, because of a post he made about something similar.

      4- Serenity
Something vague about Serenity. We were talking about something, but I can't remember what.

The annoying thing is, I remember having that feeling of excited realization that comes with being lucid, but I can't remember having a lucid dream at all! Maybe something during the day will make me remember.

TERRIBLE recall last night. I didn't sleep well at all; after WBTB at 2:30 I pretty much just drifted through HI for a few hours until I FINALLY managed to get back to sleep.

      1- Vague Details
Something vague about Raven Knight and Walms... Speaking to them... Then posting about it in my DJ.
((Even though I had JUST woken up from this during WBTB, those were the only details I could remember.))

((After that, a lot of HI about posting in my DJ and finding out that I'd had a shared dream. I was trying to type everything down on my laptop, then remembered that my laptop was on my bedside table, turned off, so what I was doing was pointless. I tried to read everything I had typed so I could remember it, but it was random nonsense about people I don't know. Then I kept typing more stuff, forgetting that the laptop I was using wasn't real.))

      2- Witch Information
I am talking to some people on MM about witches. I say that I had found a site with some really cool information, but I couldn't remember the link at the moment. The next time I check the thread, I see that Z has made an account and that she has posted the link I was talking about.

((I wake up, shrouded in HI again. Z is sitting on the edge of my bed. "Thanks for the link," I mumble out loud, rolling over. I wonder why I'm talking to her, since she's not really there. She says something, and we talk for a little bit before I drift back to sleep.))

      3- Poor Bike
My mom and I are leaving some weird neighborhood. When we leave, more people come, and a roadblock is set up saying that the maximum number of people have entered. We are waiting for Chris and Steven, but they are taking forever. My mom goes back in to find them after the road block is gone. I ride my bike through the neighborhood to pass the time. I see a girl ride up stairs on a scooter, so I try it with my bike.

Oops, there go my tires... I hope that popping sound was only my imagination, but as I ride back to where my mother is, my tires deflate completely.

    15. Once Upon a Midnight Dreary (DV version)

Eventually someone else sees it too, so I know I am not just imagining things. I somehow find out that it is a type of ghost, and I end up absorbing it's energy into my MP3 player.

Later, I am running with my brother late at night along the side of the road when it starts to rain. We take shelter underneath a bridge. It feels really cool being under there with cars speeding past and rain clouding the air. Suddenly some cops show up and jump out of their cars, about to arrest us. Stevie takes off, but I have the feeling that they think we're squatters, and I want to explain that we're just taking shelter from the rain.

Instead, one of them grabs me and says, "You are under arrest for the murder of ((name I cannot remember))." I am about to protest that I haven't murdered anyone, when
I suddenly realize I'm dreaming. Finally, I think, a dream that's not boring. This should be fun.

The cop drags me to the station house, and as soon as we get there I break free and make a run for it. I am doing flying jump kicks into the cops' heads and punching them fiercely, and although they cannot get a grip on me I am doing no damage to them whatsoever
. ((Can't remember what happened after that, but there was more.))

      2- Little Kiza
I am talking to a little kid who happens to be Kiza from the past. He is already on DV with another account, and I am giving him advice on how to seem like he meets the age requirements. He is a short, red-headed 7-8 year old who is missing his two front teeth. ((Awww!))

      3- Trek to Ohio
I am trying to take a shower, but it is not working out very well. It is way too small, and I can barely move.

Later, we have to go to Ohio for some reason, but we can't take any vehicles. My mom is leading my brother and I along the road, asking me to guess which direction we should go in. I point out one road, and she says it's getting too dark to go that way, because it leads to a bad neighborhood. Instead, she takes us to the railroad tracks and tells us we just have to follow them.

As we walk along the tracks, I say, "What if a train comes?"

"It's too late for trains to travel," she says.

Just as she says this, a train is suddenly headed right towards us, and another is coming from a place where the tracks split. "Well that's ironic." I say, doing my best to side step the danger. This seems like something that would happen in a dream," I remark offhandedly.

We make it past the trains and
      ((I remember nothing afterwards.))
