Lucid Dreams
This is the second of two lucid dreams from the morning of September 6, 2013. So glad I caught that emotion dream sign for this one because it gave me an exit from a nightmare and brought me into a really nice lucid. Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid Lucid #144: Cooling Off I'm in a furniture store, looking around at couches. A plump Hispanic woman is seated nearby, answering my questions. The front of the store is a huge glass window with a clear view of the street outside. Spoiler for Upsetting dream premise: A big luxury car pulls up outside and a man in a light gray suit gets out. He has a mustache and is wearing shades but I can't see him well enough to make out the details of his face. I see other men in the car that look just like him. The man reaches into the car and pulls two teenage girls out of the car by their forearms and tossing them to the ground. He jumps back in the car and it speeds off. I run outside. Both girls are weeping and it's obvious that they've been terribly mistreated by these men. They're bruised and bloodied and their clothes are in tatters. I help them inside the store where they disappear together into the store's bathroom. I'm boiling with rage and at the same time feel like I'm close to tears. I tell the woman that these girls have been abused by these men and that we have to do something. She says, "I know" and then calmly tells me that these girls are her daughters and that she willingly sold them to the men. Now I'm yelling at her, telling her that she's an awful person, demanding that she tell me who these men are and where I can find them. I stalk back and forth in the store's aisle, the anger getting worse and worse. Again I demand that she tell me where I can find these men so that I can dispose of them personally. The rage is so over the top that it feels bizarre to me. I can't remember feeling this way any time in waking life, so I reconsider my situation and I become lucid. Immediately I feel this huge sense of relief as I realize that there's nothing to be angry about and that none of these awful things have actually happened. I'm still a little shaken from the preceding scene, and I walk to the bathroom where the girls retreated to earlier. I open the door and to my relief it's empty. I close it again. I take a few deep breaths, cooling off the last of my anger and reminding myself that I'm dreaming. The anger has been replaced by happiness and a sense of peace. I feel contentment at the idea that I took control of this nightmare. Now happy and relaxed, I remember the goal of getting to the Colosseum. I imagine that the bathroom door now leads to one of the tunnels beneath the Colosseum. I open the door, but nope, still an empty bathroom. I close the door again and walk to the back of the store. I find myself in a hallway made of cinder blocks. There's some kind of socket wrench lying on the floor and I scoop it up. I feel like playing so I throw the socket wrench at the wall. With a thump it embeds about half an inch into the cinder block. I grab it, prying it back out and throw it toward a nearby mirror. Crack! The mirror cracks rather than breaks, but I'm delighted by how realistic the sights and sounds of this are. There's a door at the end of the hall that leads outside. I step out into the sunlight, seeing a pavilion with long, wooden eating tables to my left. I remember to hook myself into the scene before continuing further, so I kneel down and run my hands over the small stone squares that make up the flooring. As I run my fingers over the cracks, I see that a tiny river of brown water runs through the separation between each stone. Somehow I can dip my fingers into this tiny stream and it feels cool to the touch. As I make my way through the lunch pavilion, I lock eyes with a blonde woman in her early 30s. I'm stunned by how realistic she looks. Something about me seems to surprise her as well. For a moment I wonder what she's reacting to, but in the end figure she's just mirroring my reaction. I hop over some tables, reach the other side, and look back at the crowd of people calmly eating lunch. This is why I work so hard at lucid dreaming, I think. I wish that there was some way to permanently capture this experience, but I know there's nothing that can completely pierce the veil between waking and sleep to bring this experience back to me. As I leave the pavilion, I see an ampitheater up ahead of me. I'm contemplating how to work this to my advantage when the dream ends.
Partially Lucid (first recorded lucid dream) 1/30/11 9:00 p.m. 1/31/11 4:41 a.m. I remember the first dream... My sister and I were talking about something, it was in the bedroom of the 1st floor at my aunt's house. Then I went outside to the living room- it was quite bright, I then tried to hover in the air, then I awoke. The next dream when I went asleep was a bit stranger. My parents and I were in the kitchen on the 2nd floor of my house and we were discussing some trip. The table looked messy, I was sitting at the side of the table. On the table was an assortment o food bit it didn't look appetizing. There was some half-eaten General Tso Chicken and my parents said I had to eat it. The next sequence of dreams became increasingly bizarre. I had a vision of someone, whom the announcer of my dream identified as Charles Darwin. The man was dressed in priestly clothing and he looked more like George Carlin than Darwin. The location looked like a meadow within a swamp; it was quite dark. The narrator said he would be dunked in the water which was rather clear; I could see underwater. When the man plunged himself into the "baptismal ritual" he bled underwater and I saw the blood diffuse throughout. The next dream was stranger still. Someone who appeared to appeared to be a slave, was walking in what looked like a cavern. Then I saw the man on a line with other slaves. Unhappy with this, he somehow broke free of his chains, took one of the guards swords and slew not only the pirates but some of the slaves! The way in which he killed them was most peculiar. He would slice their abdomen and wrists, then finally aim and strike their necks. The victims would just stand there without saying a word. Interestingly, there was no blood, yet I knew they were dead. The location of the dream was the most fantasy based thus far. There were rocks everywhere and what looked like an escalatory bridge towards a massive door; in the door was light. I then took control of the man and started to run, although no one was chasing me. I came to a cavern which was rectangular shaped and near the end I saw a mirror, which I smashed to smithereens, trying to see my reflection. Unfortunately I saw no reflection and the dream ended. In a dream prior to this one, I assumed the role of a murderer. I went to an office-like building where some gentlemen were drinking tea. The next couple of dreams are a series of false awakenings. The first one was when my roommate had to go to his morning class... just then, I started to wonder what was real and what wasn't. I started fading to another dream in which I saw my roommate's bed become a mountain and I became a giant. I started touching the basin of the mountain and it's rivers. I wanted to reduce my size so I could explore the area, but it wasn't so. Then I "awoke" again to find my roommate at his computer and in real life he has a bulletin board on the wall. This bulletin board however looked like a computer panel screen with numbers and programs and what not. The next dream I found D. near the end of my bed talking and joking . I think he had a bean bag hat on. We all laughed except my roommate. Then I woke up again to find out D. wasn't there and it was all a dream. Of course, I was still dreaming and I went up and got out of bed to go to the bathroom. There I found M. and asked him if I was dreaming. He didn't respond. I asked angrily this time and he started to whimper silently while cringing. Knowing my roommate would never be frightened at me, I assumed I was dreaming thereby making the dream lucid. Next, I awoke yet again from my bed and tried to go to the bathroom only to find that it was blocked by my roommate's bookshelf. I then again realized I was dreaming this. I went out of my room into the dorm living room and tried to manipulate my dream, lucid with control. Alas, this was not to be as I woke up for real this time.

This is the first of two lucid dreams from the morning of September 6, 2013. Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid Lucid #143: This Life or the Next I'm sitting on a carpeted floor with my oldest son E. There's an IT guy here that I used to work with (who we'll call "Nick Burns"). The interesting thing is that Nick Burns is trying to sleep hanging upside-down from a light fixture like a bat. I believe that he's doing this in order to induce a lucid dream. I tell E that it's not necessary to go to such lengths in order to have a lucid dream. Talking about lucid dreaming makes me wonder whether I'm dreaming, so I nose pinch and become lucid. I get moving immediately, walking to the adjacent room, which is nearly featureless apart from a deep, square-shaped window. It looks like it's daylight outside, and I'm up a bit off the ground, maybe the 4th or 5th story. I phase out through the glass and the scene changes to nighttime. No, it's daylight, I think and the scene changes to early morning. I'm flying over a quiet town where all of the buildings are one or two stories, all shorter than the one that I just emerged from. The oddball in this whole scene is some kind of football stadium. (American football.) I fly toward the field to find a football game going on. I want to change the scene to the Colosseum, and I have this idea that I'll start reciting a line from Gladiator to help the scene form the way that I want. As I'm flying down toward the field, I recite Maximus' badass line to Commodus about how "I will have my vengeance, in this life or the next." By the time I land on the field, I've transformed into a full gladiator outfit and I'm holding a gladius. The football players on the field mill about in confusion. I announce that "this place needs to turn into the Colosseum." I wave the gladius around my head a little bit for emphasis. The football players seem a little put off by this and begin to wander away from the field. Nearby there's an old man in thick-framed glasses holding a microphone. Over the microphone, he declares that "there's been a little problem on the field, folks." The scene isn't transforming the way that I want, so I focus on the ground, thinking that I'll turn it to sand and work from there. The floor of the football stadium is made of some kind of bright blue carpet. I rub my hands over it for a while, willing it to become sand, but it stubbornly refuses. I stand up, wondering what to do. A young woman, short, Hispanic, mid-20s, walks nearby. I'm trying to formulate some kind of leading question to get her to help me but the fact that I am confused and the fact that she is distractingly good-looking are making it tough for me to know what to say. Plus I'm self-conscious that I'm dressed as a gladiator. I'm too tongue-tied to say anything. As she walks away, I examine my surroundings again and notice that the stadium has transformed into an open-air restaurant, putting me even further away from my goals. Okay, new idea. I step outside to a quiet street with a trickle of pedestrian traffic. I imagine that the Colosseum is over the next line of buildings, then I start flying again. As I'm gaining altitude, though, the dream ends.
Sleep paralysis decided to made its attack on me today. I'm inside my lonely, dark room. At around 5 AM, I'm laying in bed facing the wall next to me. A second later, I feel a strong sense of drowsiness. My eyes are forcibly closing themselves on me. This was a bad sign for me as I know what it means...I make attempts to keep my eyes open for as long as I can but my power is to weak here. I could only guess that I was already in sleep paralysis. I begin struggling to get myself out of it and as I am doing so, I feel some force growing around me. My left ear gets numb and by that time I have already heard something standing behind me... I'm going to assume it's an entity for now. It's putting its weight on the bed. I kept my eyes closed the entire time. The demon bends over and licks my neck. It tickles me inside but I remain calm. This demon licks me a few more times, then finally says something. "Uncle?", the demon says. I would believe it to be one of my nieces at the time but I knew it could not be because she would never lick my neck. Calmness filled the room. My niece kept saying those words for a while. I started making my way out of this mode, seeing how I always freak out whenever I enter sleep paralysis. I wiggled my fingers and toes and slowly worked my way up until I had enough force to escape. The demon started to say a few other things. There was one other and it would sound something like this, "I am sitting next to a twitcher." After a short while, I was finally free and woke up making sure there wasn't anything hiding around the bed.
I only remember fragments of this dream so here it is. Me and my sister Kayla were just walking around in this super fancy mall and she was following me around. We walked into the bakery area and I noticed a container full of chocolate chip cookies. I decided that i was going to steal one because they looked good. I then as I went to get one I lost my focus on it and I started thinking of this gorgeous red head in my school named Riley. She then appeared in an area that was really open and crowded. At this point my sister kayla had disappeared. I then went up to Riley and we kissed. As we kissed an icon popped up and showed how i was kissing, it was like an app. I ignored that app icon and continued kissing Riley. She was wearing a purple dress. After we finished kissing I woke up because of how awesome it was. It was one of the best experiences Ive had in my life considering dimes like her dont come around that much.
Dream recall from today's WBTB/naps. Dream 1: I am at home and i am trying to nap, suddenly dad comes into room and decides to fall sleep here, then a blanket randomly gets thrown onto me and it transforms into some other person, so i realize that i am dreaming. I go to balcony door and shift into quadruped stance and then phase through balcony door. I fly and feel wings, streets are snowy and there are some buildings, i fly around and search for that black dragon. Soon i find him, flying in the distance. I fly towards him, avoiding a dragonfly that randomly gets into the way(Icwutudidthar, dream). But as i about to get close i suddenly get teleported somewhere else onto the ground, i start flight again. Now here everything goes weird and i start phasing through stuff, walls, houses and teleported around randomly. Then i am back at home again, i fly through balcony door again and then sky turns into ceiling and i phase through it into different room? Then there's another sky and another ceiling and it turns into mess. Another i phase 'outside' the area like if i was using noclip in video game. Suddenly i fly into a my room again and then into different room? Then again through window and more random phasing, then i wake up. Dream 2: I try to nap but suddenly somebody starts trying to put plastic bag onto my head, i take it off and i see 'attacker' DC, he disappears and i go to balcony, this time i decide to avoid phasing through and just open door. Once outside i fly and feel wings, my house and balcony disappears and i am in some foresty place now, or rather, above it. I notice stronger feeling of wings and then there's suddenly strong wind all around, which at first gets me almost to the ground but then i manage to use it for gliding/flight for a bit but shortly i wake up.

This is the second lucid from the morning of September 3, 2013. Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid Lucid #142: Hotel OBE During my mantra, I find myself staring at the ceiling of the hotel room we're staying in. I know that I'm wearing my sleep mask, though, so I'm positive that this is a dream. I will myself to roll away from my sleeping body, and now I'm on my feet. Rather than walking, I'm just sliding around the room. The scene is dark and a little hazy, but everything looks just like I remember it. I don't look back at Wife or the spot where I was sleeping, although I wonder whether I've left a sleeping dream body behind in bed. I slide into the adjacent room where the kids are sleeping. Now more things are different. My two kids R and E are each lying in separate cribs, both about two years younger than they are in waking life. R is now almost a newborn and E looks like he's about two. They're both sleeping blissfully on their backs, and I drift past them toward the front door. When I phase through the hotel room door, I find myself in a darkened hallway that doesn't look very much like our hotel. I note how realistic the dream began and how quickly it diverged from reality. I want to turn on the lights and check out my environment. I give a grandiose shout of "Let there be light!" The hallway is now better lit, but it's still fairly dim. From out of nowhere, I hear Wife's from behind me: "And there waaaaas light!" She follows this up with a mocking trumpet sound like "doo doo doo DOOOOOOO!!" I look back, and yep, she's standing there behind me. "Whatcha doing?" she asks. "I'm having a lucid dream. This one is an OBE." I'm preparing to explain what that is when I remember that there's no need to explain anything to Wife's DC. I jump-phase through the ceiling, my head going right through into the void for a moment. I try this again, and get the same void result. Okay, next time I'll imagine a new scene... too late, the dream ends.
This lucid is from the morning of September 3, 2013. Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid Lucid #141: The City on a Hill I'm walking alone through the downtown area of some city when two guys in racing bibs run past me. This strikes me as odd, so I nose pinch reality check to become lucid. I'm walking by a construction site with workers milling around in hard hats. I wonder how I might be able to change it into the Colosseum. This feels like a tough thing to try so I give it up and fly into the air. The flight works well, although I tend to keep slowly losing altitude, almost like I'm hang-gliding. My feet touch the roof of a building and I leap up again. Now I can see the edge of the city where it meets grassland that slopes smoothly downward. It looks like this city was built on a hilltop. I touch down at the edge of the grassland and leap again. It's a beautiful day and I enjoy the tranquility of gliding over the hillside. There are few buildings apart from the occasional fenced area and, interestingly, several humble little churches which dot the grassland. Every time I touch down and then leap again, I see one or two of these tiny stone-built churches with a cross at the top. I continue my downward glide and pattern of leaping along. I see a Greek temple off to my right and I think about exploring it. I'm really looking for the Colosseum, though, so I stay focused on that instead. I set my expectation to see sand, thinking that I can use this to transition to a Colosseum scene. The next thing that comes into view is a beach with crashing waves. I land at the edge of the cold water. The day is cloudy now. I focus on the sand, wanting to use this sand as my transition into the Colosseum. I reach down into the sand, willing the water to clear away and leave me with a dry patch to use. But after a few seconds, the water keeps rolling back in. I can't figure out how to keep my spot dry. I look over my left shoulder and see a towering cliffside. I'm exciting by the idea of climbing it, so I try. The rock feels wet and slick in my hands, but my dream body is so light that it's easy work. The slickness seems to get worse as I climb and now I'm climbing up a huge piece of green plastic. The dream starts to feel wobbly to me, so I focus on how the plastic feels, trying to bring everything back to stability. Okay, it feels better now, although still not great. I keep climbing, approaching the top. I hear the cry of seagulls, and soon I'm awake.
I'm back from vacation and I've got some catching up to do! Hope everyone's been well and I'll be checking what I missed in everyone's dream journals soon! This dream is from the morning of September 2, 2013. Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid Lucid #140: Rooftop Surfing I'm attempting a WILD and get some fast hypnagogic imagery of standing near the wall outside of my childhood home. I reach out to touch the house's wall and it's real. Climbing up to the roof feels natural and easy, so I clamber up to the top and look out over the old neighborhood. The roof of my house seems to go on forever, somehow connecting with the roof of the neighbors' houses. Off in the distance I see what look likes breaks in this ocean of roofing shingles, and as I focus on them, my feet start to slide smoothly along like I'm surfing. I go with it, imagining that this is taking me toward the Colosseum for Europe Task of the Year. The rooftops have a smooth rise and fall as I skate over them, moving me up and down. There's a big, fancy house in the distance that I'm steering toward, and I insist that it's right next to my goal. The house acts sort of like a mirage, though, fading out of existence when I get anywhere near it. I'm left with just that endless sea of rooftops. Eventually another house appears in the distance, and I move toward it now. After a while, the rooftop starts sloping downward and my speed picks up. Now it's not a rooftop anymore but just a blue plastic slide. I try to slow down a bit. This seems to work but these doubts keep popping into my head and then I'm careening downward again. Now the blue plastic slide is slick and wet like a water slide, heading almost straight down. I splash into a shallow, watery pool in some kind of indoor amusement facility. There's a teenage girl here in a yellow shirt and tan slacks who looks like she works here. Before I can say anything to her, a little girl who's about 6 years old runs up and pushes a button that's just outside the pool of water. "That means you have to wait here," says the teenage girl. "Sorry, I'm not doing that," I respond, getting out of the pool. I check her expression to see whether she cares about my rule-breaking. It looks like she couldn't care less. I walk down a little foam ramp. This place looks like some kind of cross between a gymnastics studio and a water park. There's another girl who works here at the bottom of the ramp, dressed in the same yellow shirt and tan slacks. "Which way to the Colosseum?" I ask her. She immediately points to my left, where I see a pit of foam blocks and two more girls in this worker outfit. I'm walking toward the foam pit when the dream ends.
Key: Green = Dream Blue = Lucid The furthest back I can remember, I was doing a science demonstration with Bill Nye about the effects of CO2. We filled up a chamber with the gas but instead of using a camera to see through the stuff, we blasted an infra red laser through it which sort of just seemed to fade. After that I suppose it was time to clock out and leave, but I couldn't get the time card software to work. I got frustrated and decided to just leave but I couldn't find my shoes. I went through the whole office building trying to find them but couldn't. At one point I was looking through a bag of food from both Chik-fil-A and McDonald's. It all looked disgusting, but I stole some fries. At one point a butler type person suggested that a pair of sandals were mine. I yelled at him because that was stupid, then realized that based on what I was wearing, sandals made sense, after which I apologized profusely. The next bit is a little odd. There was an office war going on, Will Ferrel was the boss... and naked. People were running in large armies through the halls, there was a ghost of a dead girl the boss had killed. It was kind of hectic. I just wanted to leave, so I went out to a balcony and decided to jump down to the ground before taking the bus. It was rather odd that I remember both knowing that I can fly, and also being afraid of heights. When I realized how strange that was, I became lucid... but that was interrupted by dream characters who wanted me to help them flip the bosses car. I told them that would be property damage, so it might be better to simply fill his in-car hot tub with jello. Somehow, instead of doing that, we ended up flooding the first floor, which awoke an elder demon sealed in the basement. That's when I became lucid again, and ran out to the balcony, jumped out into what was now pour rain and fell. I closed my eyes, and tried to teleport to the Colosseum in Rome for the task of the year. Unfortunately, I missed and landed in an auditorium within that same building I had just escaped. I had to break down the door to get out as this was "reeducation" for deviants. I ran back out into the halls to find the war still raging. One man was dressed in gladiator armor, which reminded me of the task of the year again. I ran outside, jumped from the same balcony, closed my eyes, and teleported again. And again I missed. I was in the countryside which was mostly just deserts and sparse trees. I could see a city in the distance, so I started to fly there but the trees got in my way. Eventually I came to a river which I attempted to cross but a massive number of kunai (Japanese ninja throwing knives) came shooting out of the opposing bank, which I deflected with my own kunai. It seemed other people were also trying to get into this city. I told them I was trying to get to the Colosseum, and asked them if this was even Rome. They didn't respond. So I assumed THIS wasn't Rome, but on the other side of the river WAS Rome. I also realized that the kunai wouldn't hurt me, since I was dreaming, and decided to just walk in, ignoring them. But this time, no knives came flying out, and I went right across. But now alarms were going off so I began sliding quickly down different rock formations to move faster. They looked sort of like green glass, or perhaps jade. Then this stuff transformed into somewhat of a huge complicated glass track that looped and curved all over the place. I sort of surfed this track at ridiculous speeds for a while before I realized this was so totally not Rome. I jumped off the track, closed my eyes, concentrated on the Colosseum, and teleported... and missed again. This time I was in a small room with Ren and Stimpy. I remember that there was a conversation, but not the content of the conversation. Seeing as how I was in a small room, I decided to try the advanced task of the month of walking on the wall again, only this time using telekinesis to pull myself towards the wall. It didn't work too well. Gravity was still an issue so I had to get pretty complex with what I was reaching out and pulling with my mind to get it to work. It also had a side effect of making the room become slowly smaller. Once I was able to reach across to the other side of the room and brace myself between two opposing walls or the cieling and floor, I decided that was cheating and left. As I walked outside, I figured that my teleportation was obviously in need of some calibration, and gave up on the Colosseum for the night. Walking down the street I decided to sing the ABC song, to complete out the basic task. For some reason I found myself also counting on my fingers... which seemed odd then, but now I realize that's actually pretty common for me as I try to figure out what number corresponds to a letter's position in the alphabet. I had some trouble remembering the last verse of the song, so I just sang the whole song again and got it on the second try. At this point I'm walking down the street and I can feel that I'm probably going to wake up soon. I know the Colosseum is a wash for tonight, so instead I decide I'll just go nuts on the task of the month and call someone. I really just opened up my phone and hit send twice, because that's an easy way to call the previous person and doesn't require that I go through lists of contacts which I probably wouldn't able to access. The person on the other end answers "Moshi moshi" which is the way the Japanese answer phones. What followed was a conversation in Japanese that I doubt I could reproduce (I'm still learning). The basics of it was that I told the girl on the other end that I had found two people just like her, one who looked just like her, and one who had the same attitude/mannerisms. There was quite a bit of back and forth, but that's really all I've got. The dream would slowly fade as I became more aware of the bed beneath me, and I woke up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If this dream has taught me one thing, it's that I need to find a quicker and more consistent teleportation technique. This technique has worked for me very well in the past for both teleportation and time travel. It's a little fuzzy, and requires that I be able to accurately visualize where/when I want to be, but I've got to sort this out. Perhaps I'll use this technique to get me to a hall of doors, and then use the doors to rapidly teleport. That is, open one, visually verify if it's the right place, if not, close it and open the next, repeating the process until I get the result I'm looking for.
LUCID: I find myself in the top part of a tall room, the lights are out. I fly down trying to turn on the lights with verbal commands to no avail. Since it seems I can't do anything to lighten up the dark bluish atmosphere I give up and fly fast away through the wall. I apparently hit the dream boundary and find myself without body and dream, there's like static and abstract shapes floating in my vision, I see some images forming and fading before me every once a while, I try to get sucked into one and I succeed. I'm in a garden kneeling down over a narrow wooden channel with clear water flowing in it, the daylight is muted by the foliage of the many trees I see around. I surprise at the detail and sharpness of the dream and drink some water, I get up and try to call a DG to complete a task but nobody shows up, I notice some birds appearing around and I ask one if it's a DG. But before I get my reply someone makes a lot of noise in the bathroom waking me up.
I haven't had many dreams but I am trying to start up again with them. Recently I had one and I thought I would record it even though it was such a brief period of lucidity. I don't remember what happened before I was lucid because I mistakenly did not write it down immediately when I woke up. I am in a hallway and become lucid. I walk down the hallway and enter a lounge area. There is an attractive blonde guy sitting on a leather chair. I walk up to him and say hello. He pulls out what looks like a round scrying mirror that is pitch black. He asks me if I am ready to see the stuff of my worst nightmares and holds the mirror up for me to look in. I turn my head away because I was too afraid to look in... Then the dream ended.
07.09.2013Android 18 and an Unexpected Hug (DILD) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I've been putting off recording my dreams lately because it's personally not a matter of life or death. It's getting to the stage where I prefer non-lucid dreams (at least ones that start out as non-lucid and are non-lucid for the majority of the time) instead of lucid dreams. The reason being is, even if I set goals for lucid dreams, even if I go through all the processes, wbtb, wild, shifting awareness and all that fun terminology, I find more joy just recalling dreams where I had little to no lucidity. Of course, there are moments where lucidity comes in at the right time, at least for just experiencing things that one would take for granted, things that are subtle in waking life that we ignore and we find ourselves in our dreams having a completely different view on these things. Fortunately, I was lucid at the right time, I guess. I'm not going to commit too much into recall this. I'm inside of a building that looks oddly familiar, as if it's some combination of schools I've been to before. The colors inside mostly consisted of brown and caramel, and there's glass doors and windows right in front of me. I see a dream character that looks like Android 18, and she has a line of females following her, as if she's some kind of cadet officer or something like that. Then I see a girl that comes up to me, and she looks very familiar, a certain blonde female I knew in waking life during High School as freshmen. There were some alterations here and there on her face in this dream, but most of the visage was intact. She's wearing a light milky green hoodie that's unzipped along with some kind of cool colored shirt and probably faded black tight jeans. She gets closer to me and she wraps her arms around my waist. I find myself naturally returning the action to her, then quickly became embarrassed for a bit because I felt other people would be watching us. I moved my eyes right and left too quickly, and despite of how fast I was glancing, I remember particular dream character that popped up. She had long black hair, black lipstick, and probably black mascara, she looked a lot like Asami Soto from the Legend of Korra. She was looking at the both of us with her right hand mid-air, as if she wanted to say something to us but probably caught on quickly on how I felt. I turned my back and decided to continue hugging the blonde girl hugging me. Weird feeling that I haven't felt in most of my dreams lately. But it was nice to hug a dream character for a change, no matter what image or visage they were in. After that, Android 18 screams at the girl hugging me, and the girl seems to be part of the females in line with Android 18. She runs back in a frantic pace, and that's all I remember. _________________________ 07.09.2013Ganondorf and I Become A Tree Beast (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID Really weird dream. So I'm encountering Ganondorf from Ocarina of Time, and he seems to be charging up some huge attack that's emitting a yellow orb of light. There's a speed pad that resembles what you would see in a Sonic game, and the base it was on looked like it was made out of wood. The speed thingy-ma-giger had a dark green color with light green arrows pointing forwards on top of it. Boy, am I descriptive today! This was one of those dreams where things would reset if a person failed to do something within the plot of the dream, and for this case, I had to find some way to spin around Ganondorf and step on the pad that he's close to stepping on. After the reset, it works, and for some reason I was getting tall, VERY tall. I couldn't see what I was transforming into, since things were in first person perspective, and Ganondorf stated I'm now some kind of tree beast. I think this tree reference was due to an episode of Yu Yu Hakusho I watched last night where one of the fighters Kurama had to face mentioned how the Shinobi or whatever you call them were like an Oak tree. It was episode 30 something where Kurama had to face two enemies before having to deal with another one when he was unconscious. *shrug* _________________________ 07.09.2013Damn you Google Earth! I'm not Ready for the Sun! (Non-lucid) NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID I was trying to operate Google Earth, which apparently had an HD view on the Sun and outer space. I decided to try things out, but when I operated the program, it felt as if I was IN space. Scared the living crap out of me, dream or not, being this close from the sun, even if it's just fabricated sun in my head, that's not something I'm used to doing if I've put off the space exploration themed dreams for a long time now.

A bit of back story before I get into this. I picked as my task for the night to heal a massive number of people at once to test a hypothesis I came up with regarding Lucid dreams and depression. Key: Green = Dream Blue = Lucid The furthest back I can remember, I was in a dimly lit cafe or diner. I got the impression that it was in a place full of supernatural creatures. As I was walking to the restroom a woman pricked my arm with a plastic straw as if to suck some blood. Of course, I recoiled. Then I realized that she had deposited something like a maggot under my skin, which I pinched out and squashed. She protested, but I insisted that it was my arm, and therefore my rules. She grinned as I looked down to see that I had not helped the situation, something was spreading underneath my skin. So I summoned my connection to venom. One vivid sickly green glowing orb the size of a beach ball appeared floating behind me, chained to my back. Through this, I focused the venom energy through my right arm, emitting it from my right palm over the infected area. However, the infection continued to spread, the venom had no effect. So then I grabbed hold of a piece of it with telekinesis and pulled it out from my arm. It looked like 3D printed clockwork. I deduced that this was a living, self-assembling, mechanical computer. I had essentially contracted a clockwork infection which was quickly spreading through my body, taking up materials at the molecular level and building new structures out of them. Of course venom energy didn't work against it, this stuff wasn't the kind of thing that poison would do anything to. It could take that as an energy input and just use it to do more work. With that in mind, I switched gears (I'm so punny ). Alright, I quickly realized that there was only one thing in my arsenal of tricks which could combat this, I only had one choice. Throw the infection into the void, consume it, and become it. Luckily, it was already in my left arm, which is the arm that absorbs (yes I've constructed my dream body in such a deliberate manner). So I drew the infection into the void at my core, wherein all concepts become a part of me. Now I was the same thing as this, and not only did it cease the infection, I could control it. After all, it had now been added to my arsenal of tricks. The woman who had infected me didn't quite like what I had done. She started to react negatively, so I stood up taller, and decided to intimidate her. My face split open much like a horrid blooming mechanical flower to reveal a mass of swirling cogs, gears, and blades. Through the sound of grinding, clashing and slashing came my voice, which seemed as if it were actually produced by the motions of these parts, "You have no power over me. I have become." She immediately shrank back into her seat. I wandered out of the cafe at this point, and found myself in a house. Someone approached me, yelling that I shouldn't be there. I opened my face again, and let out a terrifying keening scream, to which the guy responded "F**K THIS S**T! I'm out!" and ran. I became momentarily lucid, thinking that I should do the mass healing I had planned to perform, but quickly forgot. Once I got outside, I remembered again, and flew to the top of the tallest building. I summoned my connection to the concept of healing. Six large warm pink glowing orbs appeared behind me, chained to my back. I focused the energy into the palm of my right hand, concentrating it as tightly as I could muster before it exploded, raining confetti down on the surrounding area. I then projected it outward as a field of pink energy as if I had extended my now pink aura at least one hundred yards out. Now that I looked down, I found that the roof was now packed with people. Every space available to stand was occupied. I reached out and grabbed someone's hand, yelled that everyone should touch the people around them. I then pulsed this pink energy through these physical connections as if we were human neurons. "How do you feel?" I asked some of the people around me. They all said pretty much the same thing "I wasn't really injured or feeling bad before, but now I feel amazing." I can't recall what happened between that and waking but I feel there was probably more content there. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ A couple of cool things. First, I managed to complete a goal the first night choosing it. I have dedicated myself to getting back to the basics of lucid dreaming and actually practicing a lot of the things usually reserved for beginners in an effort to improve my ability. So far, it's been working amazingly well. Second, that clockwork infection was SUPER COOL! The nerd in me is super exited about this. Also, I have a tendency to take the negative things that happen to me in my dreams and turn them into resources I can then use to positive effect. I'm actually looking forward to utilizing this new ability to see where I can take it. I'm sure it's not just good for intimidation. I can't help but wonder if I can build things with this clockwork. It has a lot of cool potential. Third. I can't tell, but it seems like the mass healing may have had the effect I wanted. So far, my depression this morning seems as if it has been slightly lessened. I can't say for sure until this evening as that's when things get their worst. We'll see. So far, so good. I may need to repeat the process a few times before it takes full effect.
Dream recall from today's WBTB/naps, had problem of not being able to fall asleep again, so only one dream, also had almost-WILD before that dream but didn't went further than entry sensations. I wake up and go through door, only to wake up again i feel that i am dreaming and attempt to get up, but for some reason i am barely able to move and if i try to move more i get re-false awakened, that repeated like 4 or 5 times then i woke up properly.
