power ranger kinda like dude, but the cloth was pink...im like
but then i start blinking(bad idea) and started to kill them. like i was shooting them or something. then i accydentally started to wake up i forgot about rubbing hands (im still a newbie) but some how i managed to link my dreams. then the homeless dudes are gone but there are some steel-like-mosquitoes and i transform into a power R again this time in orange i have this awsome katana((ninja sword) with me wich is totally orange and has a blk stripe in the middle wich i use to kill the steel mosquitoes and slide them in half then when i end with them i remember something about my sord teasspasind a metal-glass door in my grandmas house.and then i lost lucydity..... and startend a new dream. im so exited cuz this was my fisrt MILD AND DREAMCHAIN (4got the name) actually induced by my conscious!!! AND also because i could stop a night mare from becoming worst and ended up like a cool dream.
      yay!

    2. I walked through a wall while lucid! Woohoo! (Night of December 21-22)

by , 01-04-2011 at 07:32 AM (The Lab Notebook)
Awake, Non-lucid, Lucid, [Commentary made while awake]

[This is a catch-up post. This dream is from the night of December 21-22, 2010.]

I'm at a ticket booth in a train station, trying to buy a round-trip train ticket from home to L.A., where I plan to spend the day. The train ticket costs $35 and change; when I receive my ticket, it's a plastic card with my picture on it.

I'm at a desk at a music studio, explaining that I'm there because I want to record a demo. The lady at the desk doesn't want to accept a demo from me, until I mention that it's for a contest. She takes out the CD she has of demos for the contest, puts it in her computer to see how much space is left, and sees that there's enough space on it for one more song: six minutes. She tells me I'm lucky, because I'll be the last person to enter a song in the contest.

      I'm standing outside some building
[the music studio? I'm not sure; I get the impression this may have been a different scene], near the side door, waiting to get in to do something. I realize I'm dreaming and turn away from the door, looking at the other buildings on the street around it. Again, the scene looks just as sharp and vivid as reality. I hesitate for a moment, deciding whether to go along with the dream plot or go off and do my own thing. I choose the latter and take off, flying away. All it takes is an act of thought and willpower and a very slight push off the ground with my legs and feet. I have no problem taking off, but I immediately find myself being pushed backward again, unable to fly forward. Then I realize that it's only the wind pushing me in a particular direction, and if I let it carry me instead of trying to fight it, I'll have an easier time of flying. So I let the wind push me along, and it is, indeed, much easier.

I'm flying over a town. I remark aloud, “And, of course, it's another beautiful, perfect, sunny day here in the dreamverse!” I'm complaining again about the lack of snow.

While flying, I happen to pass over the backyard of a gray building that might be an older apartment building, and I spot two duplicates of myself there. I land in the backyard to get a closer look, but I don't want them to see me, so I try to will myself to be invisible to them. I can't tell whether or not it works.

I wake up in my bed. I'm a little disappointed to be waking up so soon from a lucid dream. I can clearly see a single eyelash moving back and forth in front of one of my eyes as I open and close them. I'm lying on my right side. Looking across the room from this position, I can see my closet. I think, I can't see the closet when I'm lying on my right side in bed in the room I have now. This is my room in House #1. I'm still dreaming! This is just a false awakening!

So I walk out into the living room of House #1. I look around to see if there's anyone else around, but there isn't; I'm all alone in the house. Since there's no one around to see me do it, I decide to try to walk through a wall. The wall I choose this time is the one directly to the right of the front door (as I'm facing the front door from inside the house). This wall separates the living room from the kitchen.
[This is exactly how that house is laid out in reality, too.] I say to myself, “I'm going to walk through this wall,” and start walking through it. It's not completely solid to me, but I do feel a slight resistance at first. I continue pressing forward, and feel something hard, but thin (like a very thin sheet of balsa wood) break under the pressure my body is exerting. I continue walking, and end up on the other side of the wall, standing in the kitchen. Looking back, I see that on this side, the section of wall I've just walked through is blank except for a couple of metal panels with doors in them, like the kind that cover circuit-breaker boxes. [In the real-life House #1, there are kitchen counters and cabinets attached to that section of wall. Go figure.] Said metal panels are on a flap of drywall that is now sticking out from the wall at an angle, like a door. My passage through the wall has left a big, rough-edged rectangular hole in the drywall, the same height as I am. I can see the inside of the wall, and how thick it is, because the hole goes all the way through. This wasn't what I had been expecting to happen, but nonetheless, I say aloud, “Hell yeah! I did it! I just walked through a wall!” I'm pretty proud of myself. [Actually, that does make sense. I've had enough experience helping to build houses and doing home improvement projects in real life that I have a very detailed and complete schema for what the inside of a wall is like. I'm not surprised that when I said, “I want to walk through a wall!”, my mind answered, “okay, but you know that means breaking a hole in the drywall.” Interestingly, though, there were no studs to be seen in the dream.]

After that, I go out onto the street that House #1 is on. I climb up on top of a car that is parked on the street in front of my house, just because I can do so with almost no effort (unlike in reality,) but I don't start flying again. I just climb down the other side and walk along the streets of my neighborhood, which are also laid out just like they are in reality. The dream starts to fade, but I focus my vision and attention on the environment around me, and successfully bring it back into focus. Then, off in the distance, I see several tall, scary-looking metal structures rising up above the houses. They're as tall and narrow as construction cranes, but they aren't construction cranes. I'm frightened, so I run off and hide in a nearby public restroom.

[At this point, the dream transitioned from a lucid dream to a long, elaborate non-lucid dream that I don't remember much of now, so I'll summarize:] I'm watching a sci-fi story unfold from third-person perspective, like watching a movie. In it, people are punished for using long words. My dad is one of the people being punished.

When I woke up, I discovered that I actually had managed to fall asleep while lying on my right side in reality, corresponding to my position in my false awakening. I also realized: It's my dream. I don't have to be scared of anything I see in a dream - I can make it go away, by ignoring it, if nothing else. I can also transition to new scenes at will, and could find some snow that way. I just need to learn that these things are true.

      ----------
      Side notes:

I had this dream the night after I had had a small, private celebration of lucid dreaming, as I'd announced in this thread. I was so proud of myself that I'd not only had a lucid dream that night, but had accomplished one of my lucid goals in it!

    3. The Dark Night (2010)

      by , 01-04-2011 at 01:20 AM
(an excerpt from some day 2010)

As I open my eyes I find my self kneeling hands down on cold, mossy slate. As I look around the rain is pouring down thunder and lightning and I see my self on a roof top high up in New York City with no reccolection of how I got there or any realisation that I'm dreaming. The sky is dark and the city is worn, the slate is cracked and the buildings are made of brown, chalky brick. As I'm kneeling there I can feel my self slipping with nothing to hold on to, no where to climb to and a long, long way down, to far down to see, to far to survive the fall. I continue to slip further and further down the slate, as I look around in 3rd person space I can see my self lying there. I'm stuck and as I realise my helplessness I bein to scream "HEEELP! HEEEEEELP!" No one answers, no one comes to my rescue. I fall. I wake up.

    4. Zombie Virus

      by , 01-03-2011 at 11:47 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      12/27/10

This is what I get for watching Resident Evil before going to bed.

      Zombie Virus

The world has been infected with the dreaded T-virus; everyone around me, including the animals, are quickly becoming undead flesh eaters. School is no longer safe; I barely survive an encounter with a zombie third grader before high tailing it back home.

Home isn't much safer. My poor little Sadie is long gone, leaving only my rats uninfected. However, the ferret ((which doesn't exist in real life)) is not acting right. I am desperately trying to keep it away from me and my rats, but it leaps in the cage and bites Luna. I jerk it out of the cage by it's tail and throw it on the floor. Poor Luna is still in it's vicious little jaws. I slam the cage down on top of them repeatedly, squashing them flat and sending blood splattering all over the floor. I look at Dusty, my sole surviving pet, and begin to cry. My mom walks into the room at this point. "I can't keep doing this!" I sob. "I don't want to see my pets die anymore!"

My mom tells me to get a grip on myself, which I promply do. "I love you Luna," I whisper to the bloodied pulp of a rat lying on the floor. "I love you, Dusty."

((At that point, I wake up. Normally I like zombie dreams, but this is not one of them. The next one, however, was MUCH more pleasant. ^^ I don't mind killing zombies when I have Alice and Claire on my side!!!))

    5. 10/22/10

      by , 01-03-2011 at 11:32 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      10/22/10

      1- Conspiracy
I am walking around the karate place, which seems to have been expanded into a store. For some reason, headphones are blaring Within Temptation songs into my ears. I think it's rude to wear headphones in public, so I'm trying to figure out why I'm doing so. Suddenly a man taps me on the shoulders. I take the headphones off, but I still hear the music (I have it playing in real life.) I struggle to hear his question.

"Can you show me where the flats are?" he asks. As if I work here... and what the heck are flats?

I look to the front desk, where Anna (the receptionist/secretary) is standing. Pointing to her, I say, "Anna would know better than I would." He walks off.

I see my Papa leading my brother into a long hallway with many doors. Curious, I secretly follow them. They stop in a room at the end of the hallway, but I can't get close enough to see without being noticed.

When I leave the hallway, I am now in my house. I find a hole in the wall that allows me to see into the room where my brother is. He is in a room with a bunch of sickly old men, all of whom are sleeping in recliners. Weird...

*lapse in memory, but I get knocked out somehow*

"Waking up" in my bed, I am determined to find out what is going on. I had overheard Papa telling my brother something rather disturbing, but it hadn't made sense. Apparently I had been attacked... but I'm having problems recollecting the situation.

I leave my room and ask my mom what's going on. She is evasive. My brother gives me a look and says, "I'll tell you later."

My mom suddenly gets angry and says,"There is nothing secret in this house!"

But there is. A winged bringer of death has been going around killing people, and I KNOW that it involves that secret hallway somehow.

There is a cut scene of my dream father getting attacked by this thing. I fear he is dead, but when I reach him, he spits up water and sits up. Alive. We find out that the death-bringer is someone that we had trusted, who had clearly betrayed us.

This man begins attacking us. Realizing I'm dreaming, I tell my dad to run. I can handle this.

He is easy enough to fight, especially using my awesome karate moves. Maybe this will help me get better in real life... But he calls reinforcements: several zombies, a goat demon, and some other creatures. I run inside and use the screen door as both a shield and a weapon, ramming it into the zombies and then kicking them down the porch steps. After I beat the final zombie off the porch, the goat demon exclaims, "You killed her!"

      "Uh, she's a zombie."

He breaks into the house, so I run out, taking my chances with the other creatures. I fight them for a few minutes, but then a strange man wearing a backpack says he's going to open his pack, revealing "the truth." One of my allies tells me to run, so I take the advice. I don't get very far, however, before I feel someone grab ahold of my back. "Let go!" I shout. Then I realize The Truth. No longer am I running; instead, I'm GROWING out of the strange man's back, and I suddenly have spider-like legs coming out of my body.

I let out a bloodcurdling scream (even though I know I'm dreaming)
and I end up having another false awakening.

This time I'm in a hospital, and the strange backpack man is standing over me with a video camera. "How would you like to be in my new reality show?" he asks me playfully.

I scowl at him. "I'd hate it. Almost as much as I hate you."

"Now, now, I'm sure you don't mean that." I hear a threat in his words. If I don't do what he says, I'll be growing out of his back again... The thought is not pleasant.

"Fine! What do you want me to do?"

He makes a fool out of me, telling me to do all sorts of stupid and random things, like making silly faces at the camera. I am furious, but I have no choice but to comply.
    6. 10/10/10

      by , 01-03-2011 at 11:19 PM (Hazel's Boiler Room)
      10/10/10

Staying in a hotel at Georgia... Great place to have some seriously disturbed dreams. :S

      1- Sacrifice
I am performing a ritual that calls for the sacrifice of an animal. I buy a huge meat cleaver to get the job done, but then I can't go through with it. ((That's all I have written in my DJ, but it's definitely an abridged version. I remember accidentally killing a cat before I even got the knife, and some creepy person attacking me. I believe I used the meat cleaver to chop their hand off, but it's been several months, so the memory is very vague.))

      2- More Neo-Nazis
I am stealing a book in a future where books are illegal, when the Nazis come to take me away. I quickly hide the book in my jacket.

They ship me off, but after a huge ordeal ((which I stupidly didn't write down)) I make an escape on horseback.

      3- Torture
A CREEPY preview for some movie comes on tv:

A flash of a monster-woman, with a spider like face and arachnid jaws. A red-headed girl strapped to a table. "Just relax," the spider lady laughs. She drags her long, metallic claws down the girl's legs. Flashes of torture. The lady has huge garden shears that she uses to cut off the girl's fingers, one by one, while the girl cries over and over, "Mother forgive me, Mother forgive me, Mother forgive me!"

The clip ends, showing the name of the movie. We all stare at the screen in disturbed silence.

    7. After Christmas Presents: An Unexpected Appearence

      by , 01-03-2011 at 09:03 PM (Lynn's Lucids)
My mother and I went over to Hunter's house. (Hunter is my brother). to open the remainder of our Christmas presents. Mom said "Now, Hunter has more presents than you, so don't be upset." So, we were over their house and I saw Barbara and Walter (my grandparents) did online shopping for Hunter, because of his odd wishlist. So, there were about 50 things on the computer, so I scrolled down, it said Page 1 out of 5. I was angry because I didn't get many presents. So, I clicked checkout on the computer, to spite them. Total was $1250 or something like that. The price was the only thing I could read correctly. So, I bought it twice and they didn't know. Later on, I went in my grandparent's room and opened their closet because I heard talking, a strange talking. When I opened it, I realized there was something odd in there. I opened it, once the talking got louder and I saw what looked like a talking skull thing. (I am terrified of them). I told Barbara and she told me it was just a compact mirror (blue) and to go back to opening gifts. So, after that, I went back in there to see some more stuff. Although it was darkened, I saw it. She came in again, and I explained to her again. She denied it, so I opened the closet even more myself. I went in there! I saw it crystal Clear. I screamed, ran out to the family room and told everyone. Mom didn't believe me. Tony (My step-dad) did. So, I showed them and Barbara was angry. "All RIGHT! IT'S TRUE! AND YOU BETTER LEAVE RIGHT NOW IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE ONE!" In my dream mind (irrational mind) I assumed she killed people and put them in there. To save my life, I ran out there as quickly as possible, Tony was outside, for some reason as I ran to him and told him to call the police. He picked up his phone and didn't call them once he saw Barb stand outside the front door. "GET OUT! I'LL SET THIS HOUSE ON FIRE IF YOU DON'T GET OUTTTTT!!!!!!" She looked different than the real Barb, but I didn't notice. She went inside, because Tony left an orange dish on her dresser, inside. So, she stepped back outside and gave it calmly back to Tony. Then, she warned us to leave and went back inside. We saw her walk from the windows, and she shut the blinds of each one. Soon, the house burned up in flames. *I recalled the reason I was so affraid is because I had asked Barb if you could hear them talking when you sleep, she said yes, and I pictured me trying to sleep in my brother's room with them taunting me.* So, me and Tony rushed to the car leaving. I was afraid at the loss of my dream journal that I had left on Barbara's dresser, to sit it down. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME MY REAL DREAM JOURNAL HAS BEEN IN ONE OF MY DREAMS. I was very, very upset. I said "Well, another version of it is online, right?" Sadly, no. Even in my dream I knew the truth. I had just lost my dream journal! So, Tony and I had ran off the the police station. They said there was nothing wrong with killing people and putting their skulls in your closet. They even told me that: "This is a dream, you can't get them arrested!" I didn't even listen or believe that it was a dream. Not that I remember after that, but there is no happy ending to the story.

    8. Failed piano audition

      by , 01-02-2011 at 02:18 PM (NBF's DJ)
I've been asked to audition for a teacher. Somehow this audition is a huge life-changing deal. She has already decided to reject me - that's clear - and the audition is merely a formality. The trouble is that my music isn't played by someone born into a wealthy enough family for her.

I start. She immediately covers the keys so I can't see what I'm doing. Fine, I accept that as a teaching technique with some students, but it's a little weird at an audition. She then starts demonstrating arpeggios, Hanon moves, elaborate sostenuto progressions, the works. I'm out of practice and intimidated. I'm not about to show her the music I've written - she's a hostile force.

This is right after I've been introduced to two unattractive gentlemen and asked to choose between them. "Neither" was not an accepted option, so I am now on the blacklist with this piano woman.

Finally, I've had enough. I start playing Scott Joplin's "The Entertainer" - and not perfectly, either, but just because I like playing the song.

She stops the audition and asks me to talk to an adjudicator on my way out.

Before this, I'm on my way to the audition room and I'm walking through a huge house, very clean and spacious. I see lions and antelopes and other huge beasts materializing before my eyes - some of them being ice sculptures, yet alive. At one point I say there are lions, but my sister says, "Lions? There are no lions," and gives me a significant look as if to say, "Don't tell this lion he's a lion!" I pick up on that and say, "Of course there are no lions, because there are no predators. Lions eat people." Then I catch a hurt expression in the lion's face, and I hastily add, "Except the good lions, of course."

Real-life parallels: I've been helping my 20-month-old nephew play the piano. He keeps trying to close the keyboard cover. I showed him how to sweep the keys with his palms and he's fascinated with trying to do that. My sister has repeatedly been correcting things I say in front of the child and ways I deal with the child - in a nice, toddler-friendly voice, of course.
    9. Nightmares of an Insomniac

      by , 01-02-2011 at 11:37 AM (Krista's Dream Journal)
Well, here I am again, awake. I've been awake since 12:30. I have to be up at 5:30 anyway to be at work at 7, so I figured I'd just go ahead and post the one dream I had. Won't be going back to sleep anyway.

      Bold=dream

I was in my family's bonus room. The light was very bright, and everything looked very clear. I was with my friends B and C. We were shooting rotting, gray zombies as they came at us. It was kinda like a video game. B used her gun to shoot 3 in the face enough times to bring them down. I said "Let me try!". She handed me the gun and 3 more started coming at us. I shot them in the neck and face, but one was very close and almost got us. I ended up bringing them down before they could reach us. C took the gun from me and took his turn at shooting zombies. After that, the dream started to become eerily realistic. It didn't feel like a game anymore. It seemed to get darker in the room, like it was nighttime inside, but still light at the same time. Very strange. Zombies are everywhere now, not sure where B went, but C was still with me. I become terrified for my life. C said "Don't let them get you..."

Then, I woke up, half expecting to be in the bonus room. I was panicking. Also, I looked at my phone to check the time, and C had sent me a message 20 minutes before I woke up, which was kinda weird.

I took a melatonin last night, and I'm thinking I probably shouldn't do that again. I used to take it a lot with no issue, but I guess that's changed. That nightmare was way too realistic for my taste...

    10. Nightmares and fake awakenings

      by , 01-02-2011 at 09:32 AM
      Non-dream Dream Lucid

Im not sure in which order I saw these, but I think they went something like this:

      1. I had a FA. I walked out of my room, but then it turned into a nightmare (like my FAs allways do). And like allways it was about my parent/s trying to kill me. This time I was given two ways to die, other one was cooking me (how pleasant). Fortunatly I allways get lucid in FAs, but unfortunatly my dream control is pretty near 0. Im not sure what happened next, but I remember hiding in darkness/smoke that suddenly filled the room.

      2. I think this was the part where I had about 5-7 FAs in a row (frustrating) before i woke up.

      3. I were in my school, but the teachers were unfamiliar (someone explained that it was another school that looked like ours). We watched a film that was about some sailors going on an island (at least I think it was an island) where some men had been murdered in the forest, but the people living in a village didnt know about it because the governant didnt want anyone to know about it. But the sailors heard about it from the kids in the village and thats all I can recall (movie plot worth an Oscar). I felt really tired, so I tried to sleep all the time.

      4. I was going to store with a scooter, but for some reason I started going back home before I reach the store. I come to a street where i think my home is (it isnt) and at the end of the road there is an replica of my grandparents house and yard. I accidently fall on top of my grandparents dog and two (dead)cats and they start chasing me (that "dead" means that the cats are dead in real life).I close myself into a closet and realise im dreaming. I try to teleport somewhere else and kinda succeed, but instead of getting somewhere else my dream changes and I lose lucidity.

5.I saw an sloth chasing a grasshopper in somekind of white box (like universe would be nothing but flat, white floor as far as eye can see) then they both fell out of the box and then it changed to some kind of game where you had to activate "soul totems". Soon after that I woke up.
    11. Snowy , random nightmare

      by , 01-01-2011 at 08:53 PM
I was walking with my family down a snowy road with a video game disk in my hand ( idk why..) . Then I dropped it and it somehow floated and hit a train. It didn't break so I picked it up. Then we walked to a random concession stand and I got a burrito. After that I walked to a hotel where I saw myself in window, that was when I gained control of the dream. I stabilized it, then Looked back in the mirror and saw a weird looking guy in a mask behind me. Sadly then I woke up...

    13. Weird Nightmare

by , 12-31-2010 at 04:37 PM (Crazy Corner of Crazy Person)
I remember sitting inside a bus when someone asked if I had a girlfriend or not...I told that "No, I don't" even though I was very nervous before the answer because my ex-girlfriend sitting next to me...she had no reaction though

Then (I think) I was inside some kind of game when I had leather black gloves and the world around me was dark-red. I had to open doors and hide in search of something, I suppose but then...when I opened one door, weird wolfs started to attack me. After that I had a rifle in my hands and a blurry screen...I started to jump backwards and firing it at the wolf, climbing the boxes this way and doing some fight...after that I died from a bite.
Strange screen appeared that asked if I wanted to continue living or wanted to end it...I press "continue" though wasn't very sure what I pressed the first five minutes.
I appeared in some lake or some sorts. Seeing that there’s only way out(Up in small tunnel), I started to swim there. I was inside a corridor with four white, wooden doors. After taking a deep breath, I opened it and gasped…blood on the ground and weird, scary voice of woman telling me something. Then red hospital bed slide to my feet and I saw a board with picture of FBI agents behind the text that said “Don’t Enter This Room”
…I closed it the same instance and them some beast tried to break it. I spend my last minutes in dream trying to close the old lock on that door.

    14. Night of 12/30 - The test of failure

by , 12-31-2010 at 03:34 PM (Grischkaja's world of dreams and mysteries)
      Hours of sleep: 9.5
      Recall: 3/5
      Vividness: 3/5

I'm sitting in a class and I have to write a test. I get the questions and there are just about thinks I don't know. In addition just stuff, I even don't study. Questions about geography (What's the name of this city?) about physics, stuff like that. I panicate cause I don't know one anwser. I try too argue with a teacher
Me: That's unfair! These are things nobody knows!
Teacher: It doesn't matter. It's a test about flexibility, spontaneity and creativity!

I look at the others and there are writing pages and pages full. I simply leave and run away.

I'm at an indoor-swimming-pool. And it's another test. I just think: what's wrong in here? Our gymnastic professor is there.
Prof to everybody: You know that I don't like theorie much!
      Everybody laughs
Prof: That's why we make a swimming test!

Ok.... Just for info, we had just seminars where he spoke of some "moving skills" and their development.
And now: a swimming test?! We had to jump over obstacles to get in the pool, doing weird loopings and figures and other crap.

I wanted to enter in the pool, but it seemed that the water was just about 20 inches deep. How can I swim when the water just goes to my shine? WTF! I get angry about this crap end up running around the pool until the exam had finished

    15. 12/30/2010 - "A Lesson In Na'vi Pain Management"

"A Lesson in Na'vi Pain Management"

(Tried a little dream incubation, this morning, and paid for it. I had turned on Avatar, focusing on my intention to draw myself into the movie, through DILD. Unfortunately, it worked. Quite possibly the most painful dream I have ever had in my life. I wasn't even on B6, but I did have a good liquor buzz when I went to bed. It was just as intense, though.)

I was Jake from Avatar, standing high in one of the mighty, cloud-scraping trees of Pandora. The war with Quaritch was soon coming, and the rest of the Na'vi were off somewhere, preparing for battle. I was being trained by a man who identified himself as an old arch-enemy of mine. He looked human, but this dude was huge; bigger than I was, even at Na'vi size. (He kind of looked like this picture of Heihachi Mishima, but thicker, with longer limbs, and completely bald.) According to this guy, I wasn't ready to face Colonel Quaritch. I was still "just Jake," and - as this guy would tell it - was not accustomed to my Na'vi form enough to maximize potential. So, he was about to teach me about how to manage my pain. Apparently, as I had somehow already known, this powerful man was planet-renown for his skills, and my best move would be to listen to everything he said. I braced myself, knowing I was going to be in for a tough trial.

Suddenly, I was rocked in the stomach, with a fist that would have caused a human being to explode on contact. Another one followed, with yet another close behind. Before I knew it, I was on my knees, in agony, my ribs feeling like they were being beaten in with a baseball bat. He didn't stop, though, screaming at me to get up, before slamming me with another body shot. This man was definitely not human. His strength was something out of a video game, and I could swear I was able to sense the shock waves jetting off of each punch to my midsection.
I honestly don't know of many times I've ever felt pain like this - if any. The blows rained in on me...almost rhythmically. He was in no rush. Just punching away, at his leisure. Completely unprepared for this, I tried desperately to drag myself away from him; helpless.

I didn't know if he was supposed to be teaching me or was actually trying to kill me. That was until he began to explain how I had the potential to block all of the pain out of my mind, and maintain focus and endurance for battle. He said that it was something that all warriors were able to do, and that I would be able to tap into the Na'vi's ability to do it at an accelerated rate. He wasn't exactly nice about it, though... Each punch would drive itself into my gut, and I would yell out in pain, this man's only response being to yell back at me for not taking it like a warrior.

...I definitely didn't feel like a warrior, at the time...

More punches came, and I was now in too much collective pain to fight back, even if I wanted to. Still, I dragged myself along the gargantuan branch beneath us, which easily supported our bodies, without wavering. He was all over me, though, and just would not fucking let up. He jumped from one side of me to the other, anytime I would start trying to scramble away a little more quickly. Each punch was now starting to bring me closer to tears, already having me openly screaming out with each torturous thud - and he could see it. He picked me up to my feet, my body practically limp, and glared at me sternly. Holding me up with one hand and barking at me to stop crying, he slammed more punches into me with his free hand, and each one was no less devastating than the last. I was being brutally beaten, and it was more than I could bear.

The gnarled look of torment in my face was slowly turning into a snarl of determination. I knew I couldn't just sit there and let him beat me to a meat-sack of pulverized bone. My eyes locked on his, and my fists tightened, every muscle in my body soon following suit. Immediately, he picked up on this and sneered, growling "WHAT?! ARE YOU ANGRY?! HUH??" through his teeth. His eyes were on fire with the a display of malice that just couldn't have been false. This was becoming a life or death situation. I felt my legs strengthen beneath me, beginning to stand up straight, slowly, but almost involuntarily. The pain was sequentially residing as the fist continued to pound away. I was getting stronger with each blow, able to sense that each punch would still have left a crater upon the trunk of the enormous tree we were in, yet I was becoming increasingly unable to feel them.

After a few more seconds of the onslaught, I was standing up tall, glaring at him with a scowl. Finally, he stopped punching, glaring back at me, still looking at me like a mortal enemy, but no doubt gauging my stoicism, after such a merciless attack. From what I could tell, he had decided that I must have been successful in my ascension. My torso still burned from all angles, but my entire muscular structure felt tightened and invigorated. The pain was still there, and it was damn intense....but I just didn't care. He told me that I was now ready for battle...

My recollection of the dream skipped ahead, and I was then running and jumping through the towering trees with a female Na'vi. She swung across a gap between branches, on a vine, and I did the same, right behind her. The two of us landed on another branch, this one just barely big enough for us to fit upon. When we landed, I took a sweeping glance down toward the ground - hundreds of yards below us - and I felt my stomach turn. It was the first time that I realized just how high up we really were. I found myself thinking "what the hell am I doing way up here?" and I think this could have eventually led to lucidity. However, all chance of that soon disappeared, when our attention got drawn to the sight of the Colonel's aerial gunships flying in over the landscape, toward our village. What might have been our last run through the trees was now over, and it was time to go to war.

(I woke up here, and the movie was actually just getting to the final battle, practically in sync with the content of my dream, leading me to believe that some of the audio might have been seeping into my dream content, when I was beginning to awaken. I was hungover, and it seemed to take some time for the pain in my stomach to fade. Instead, it seemed to go to my head , which was throbbing. Even some time after all of this, sitting at the computer, I had to hug my stomach, just because it seemed like the faintest - probably just mentally projected - trace of that horrible pain still lingered.

Not the best sleep I've ever had...)
