    1. Hang Gliding

      by , 11-05-2011 at 02:01 PM (Taffy's Sweet Dreams)
I was at the top of a tall mountain with my cousin and my brother. We each had homemade hang gliders, which were basically flat umbrellas with a pole at the bottom to hold onto. I ran forward and jumped off the cliff and started to glide. I was going really fast, and the wind was very strong. I held the bar under my chest and spread my arms out. I thought about how cool it would be if it was a lucid dream, but didn't go lucid. I swooped down towards the ground and then pulled back up. I turned around and floated to the ground in front of a house. My cousin and brother came down too.

In the house was my aunt and uncle and my dad. I didn't see my dad at first because he was in the kitchen. We sat down at the table, and my aunt was saying how hard teaching is. I was trying to play piano, but with a watermelon, somehow.

    2. Strange insects and William Shatner's funeral

      by , 11-05-2011 at 11:40 AM (Pop's Dream Journal)
I remember two dreams from last night. In the first one, I'm inside an old house. There's a man in one of the rooms doing something that the rest of us are trying to stop; conducting some sort of experiment or something like that. I don't remember what he's doing, only what the outcome is. Suddenly there are all of these insects in the walls. They're visible because it's like the sheetrock is transparent and you can see the wires and wall frame. The insects look like a swarm of bees and they're moving through the walls from the exterior to the interior of the house. Suddenly the lights go out and it's pitch black inside. A man's voice tells me, "Don't worry; they're going after him.", meaning the man in the room. Apparently, whatever he is doing is attracting the bugs to him. I feel some of the bugs crawl across me but they don't attack. I sense that to me, they're harmless. But the man in the room, I hear him start to scream. About a minute later, the lights come back on and we run to the room where the man had been. When we get there, all we see is a giant swarm of insects beginning to disperse and die. Within seconds, they're all dead and lying on the floor. I can now get a good look at them and realize they're not bees because their bodies and wings are longer and thinner. A man, perhaps the same one who told me earlier not to worry, calls me over and shows me little vials of blood that they have extracted from each of the insects and tells me that they apparently drained all the blood from the man's body before consuming it.

In my next dream, I'm in a cemetery and there's a funeral going on. I'm sitting with some of my family behind a grave that appears to belong to Leonard Nimoy. Besides his name on the headstone, there are photos of him and flowers and momentos laying around. But it's not his funeral because in the dream, I know I've been to his grave before. The funeral appears to be for William Shatner. His grave is just in front of Nimoy's and there is a similar collection of photos, flowers and momentos around it. I am a bit shocked by this because I didn't even know that William Shatner was ill; I thought he was in good health. Then the thought occurs to me that if he had been sick and lost some weight, he would look more like Captain Kirk from the original Star Trek series and that could be a good thing. Off to the side, one of my relatives is pointing out that Zsa Zsa Gabor's name appears on several of the headstones in the cemetery. Someone speaks up and says, "She married your uncle." Apparently, the names of the parents are on the headstones and that's why her name appears on more than one.

I'm disappointed that I did not pick up on any of the obvious clues that this was a dream. Zsa Zsa Gabor never married anyone in my family and both Leonard Nimoy and William Shatner are alive and well in the real world.
    3. Providing comfort

by , 11-05-2011 at 10:13 AM (Lives Lived)
She didn't like the concept of labels, so I never asked for her name. I was first aware of her as the melodic, sweetly feminine voice that drifted over my head in quiet tones as I lie in bed each night. We shared a room with another man, you see, and their conversations became the music I would find myself drifting off to sleep to each night.

In that way that women have, she never truly thought that I paid any attention to what she was saying in those moments, although he surely knew. At times, he would sit on the edge of his bed, looking down at me with a small smile as his English accent carried over to the gentle laughther of her refrain. People are funny, that way, in that they will reveal so much more from offhand remarks than when they know they have your full attenton. But, then, it's those moments that cause the first sparks of attraction without anyone realizing it happening.

Her humor, her pain, her love of life, her solitude. Listening to these constants were what caused me to hesitantly reach out, across the barrier between us, and gently touch her foot with my fingertips. For a moment, I felt guilt for intruding on her relationship with the Englishman, but that soon faded as I committed myself to the act. Her skin was warm, smooth, and I instantly grew more courage.

"Hey," I said, "Why don't you join me, so that I can hold you for a while?" The room was cold, and having another body to warm the bed seemed reasonable enough. There was some light rustling, and I caught my first sight of her as she crawled across the top of my bed's comforters. Thick auburn ringlets framed her full, beautiful face. Soft brown eyes searched mine warily, inquisitively, for a motive. A body full of life and curves was shielded from view by thin pajamas, but the pure essence of her person radiated nonetheless.

She sat on her feet for a few minutes, regarding me. She was suspicious, but wonderfully intelligent at the same time. I opened my arms, careful in both my honesty, and in my conviction. She knew that there was no force to my invitation, just a desire to comfort and share the peace two souls find when in each other's arms, should she wish it. Slowly, she slipped under the covers, her eyes never leaving mine, ensuring that I knew this was entirely by a choice that could be rescinded at any moment.

Her warmth, her pure feminine form wrapped itself along my side as she nestled against me. She smelled of woman - not the floral or spice that women choose to hide behind, but the wonderful fragrance that fills your nose upon first awakening each morning, your face resting upon her skin. I gently wrapped my arm around the silk contours of her waist, and we finally accepted the comfort each had been unsure of before.

I pointed, then, to her full breasts, my eyes still not having left her own, as I told her that I knew of the difficulty she was fighting within. Fear, sadness, and uncertainty flashed across her face, mixed with the realization that I had, indeed, been paying attention to her remarks from earlier. Any misgivings she had melted away from the severity of it all. Being reminded of one's mortality tends to be sobering, that way.

Over the coming months, the gradual act of being mutual comforters blurred into that of friends, of lovers, and ultimately understanding. Her world was slowly slipping away, while mine consisted of a never-ending supply of warmth, compassion, and a reminder to her that she was always the voluptuous woman I had first laid eyes on. She was, in every way, my world, and her acceptance healed me in ways far greater than I could ever return.

As I lie there, in bed, the haze of reality and dream brought to focus the one thought I had been avoiding: her passing. No longer would her voice whisper in my ears, her warmth comfort my nights. The companionship that we had both grown to depend upon ceased to exist as the disease overtook the last of her will. I would have to start over, without her, and she... she would finally find the rest she had so desparately been seeking.

A sudden wave of pure, agonizing grief washed over me, and eyes still closed clenched tightly in response, sending the first tear I had allowed myself to escape across my lashes. The burning sensation upon my skin ushered me across the bridge from my memories, and she faded into their eternal fog.

It was 3 AM, and I was alone, but forever loved.

    4. A Visit to my Old Church and an Amusing False Awakening

by , 11-05-2011 at 07:07 AM (The Lab Notebook)
Awake, Non-lucid, Lucid, [Commentary made while awake]

I'm driving through the parking lot of a shopping center, at night. There is a violent physical altercation going on in the parking lot, and it turns into a gunfight.

I'm now riding my bicycle through a nearby residential neighborhood, where there is more violence going on. It's still nighttime. As I ride, I pray that I won't get hit by a stray bullet. I also reflect that I could be driving to my destination, which is my old church, but I like bicycling better than driving.
[This is true.] I miss the turn to get to St. Mark's.

I'm no longer riding my bicycle; I'm now standing in a black nothing.
[I suspect that I might have DEILDed here, but I'm not positive.] I think of the destination I was just trying to get to, the parish hall at my old church, and cause a knife from the parish hall's silverware drawer to appear in my hand. A second later, the parish hall appears around me.

I walk through the room, appreciating the dream environment, as usual. A lot of people are there, including my parents. My dad comes up to me and offers to give me a hug, and I accept it and hug back. All the people are there for a big reception, with a lot of food laid out on tables.

After the reception, when everyone has left except me, my parents, and two or three other people, there is still a huge platter of thinly-sliced roast beef left over. I try to give it away to those two or three other people.

I wake up in my current bedroom, very pleased to have just had a lucid dream. I remember to grab my phone, which is running Ev's Lucid Dreaming App for Android, and draw a star on the screen with my finger to indicate that I just had a lucid dream. I draw the star, but very sloppily, with one point much bigger and longer than the other points. I'm concerned that the program won't recognize the gesture, but it does. It displays the gesture I just drew with the caption “lucidity!” underneath it, in the same font it always uses for those captions.

When I woke up for real, I thought to myself, You know, I bet I didn't actually record that lucid dream. The app wouldn't recognize the star if I drew it that poorly, and the caption always just says "lucid dream." I checked my actual phone and, sure enough, no "lucid dream" mark on my graph. That had, indeed, been a false awakening. I felt slightly frustrated, as well as highly amused that the app had shown up in one of my FAs.

      -------------------------------------------------------------
      Side notes:

Wow. I'm pretty pleased with this DEILD, if that is indeed what it was, and with my sudden mastery of changing the dream scene. To be fair, though, I did change it to the destination I had been trying to reach in my non-lucid nightmare.

I didn't realize until after I woke up that the part where my dad hugged me was day residue. On the evening before I had this dream, I hadn't bothered to get up and hug my dad when he left the house, and I had regretted it. I thought it was awfully nice of my subconscious to give me a second chance to do that.

    5. Wolf Summons

      by , 11-05-2011 at 06:47 AM
      3/11/11

Lost a lot of the dream now as this is just from memory. It was quite an involved dream though, the first one in quite a while.

At night roaming around a large office on something like the 481st floor. There was a lot of university friends in various rooms as well and we all progressed as a sparse group together. Someone/thing was following us but we weren't in any great hurry, we just looked through anything that was interesting and then left everything exactly as it was when we arrived.
At the opposite end of the floor was a corridor that turned to the left and through some sort of 'team' sight I could see a trap that someone in the group had set in the floor.
By stepping on certain areas the floor would turn into spikes but we could 'see' where was safe and all navigated quickly through to the exit door just past it.
A sense of urgency sprung up now that we had actively begun to 'fight back'. The next section of the building was a large warehouse whose height spanned multiple floors. Someone pointed out that we had moved to the next floor in entering it.
Strewn all about were big crates with tarps tying them down that everyone was standing on and nervously waiting on top of.

Then something tripped the trap and we all knew we had been foolish to try it because now whatever was following was just going to be more pissed/harass us faster. People began bailing and splitting from the group.

I decided I would summon my wolves to help me escape/be prepared if/when I was caught. I raised my hand to the ceiling which as I activated my magic turned into a twilight sky that rapidly bled to red and then a deep purple. On the floor in front of me two large circles, about 4m in diameter, opened up. Their perimeters spun with golden runes and markings around the midnight black centre.
Out of the centre two enormous wolves appeared. These things were the size of buses, in snow white to contrast the their darkening summons. Despite their size and raw power they behaved like lifelong pets and were very playful, like they were my guardian animals. They had blue and orange edged eyes respectively and distinct personalities.

I jumped on the back of one and rode it around the large warehouse and adjoining access ways. Eventually I met up with people I want to stick with and they seemed reassured that my wolves were on hand in case things got hairy.

But I never got a chance to do more than ride them around which was still pretty fun.

    6. Searching for a Veil for a Very Deserving Bride

      by , 11-05-2011 at 06:44 AM
I think I have to blame this dream on my mom's addiction to cooking competition shows, and perhaps a bit on my own weird fascination with wedding planning shows.

I dreamed that my mother and I were in our living room, watching a wedding show or a cake-making show or something. Think something you'd see on TLC. The wedding cake that had been made was amazing, it looked just like the carriage from Disney's Cinderella. Unfortunately, the bride wasn't able to cut the cake for some reason, and the bakers had a short amount of time to fix it for her. The bride had cancer, and her chemo treatment had made her bald. She wanted a new bridal veil, but I can't remember why. One of the bakers on the TV points out to my mother and me and says "Why don't you help us?"

Bam. Suddenly my mom and I are inside the television/in the environment of the show. The cake designer tells us to find a new veil. We find ourselves in a huge city (NYC maybe?) and being the country bumpkins that we are, we're totally out of our element. We vigilantly look for a veil though. Under benches. In mailboxes. Inside newsstands. Totally logical places to look for a bridal veil, right? (/sarcasm)

We ended up on the outskirts of the city. It was a very desolate wasteland. This is when I woke up and had to start my day, which was disappointing. I would've loved to gone further in the dream, or maybe even attempt to become lucid and make the veil magically appear to see what would happen as a result.

    7. Swimming Pool

by , 11-05-2011 at 05:26 AM (Byte's Adventures in Wherever Dreams Are.)
So I remembered my dream last night too. (I will use two blue capitals for names of real people, and grey for non-dream text.)

Me, AD, DA and LI are at a swimming pool not too far from my house. We are in between a changing area and a locker room, all in swimwear. I open a door (in a wall that isn't there) and get attacked by a yellow and black spotted spider with thin legs and a large abdomen (4-5cm)(Big enough for me!) And I freak out and brush it off me. AD squishes it. Two girls appear, both aged near 13, wearing summery dresses, and throw a common brown spider at me. I brush the spider away and turn away from the girls in an attempt to enter the pool. They get in the way so I push past them. Then I wake up.

My Dad was talking to me about swimming once a week a few days before the dream, I guess that's what brought it on. Not sure about the spiders though, I'm not usually too freaked out by them.

    8. House party?

by , 11-05-2011 at 05:15 AM (Byte's Adventures in Wherever Dreams Are.)
This was a dream from the night after I came beck from my holiday... (I will use two capital letters for names of real people)

I'm talking to SC in school, kinda half-outside again. He had some kind of scar on his face, and he's talking to me about what yeargroup we are in, he seems confused. I tell him we are in year 11, he said "OK". Then I was in my house out of school uniform, and there were a lot of people I don't recognize with me, all aged between 17 and 20. Everyone is dressed casually, except for one girl, wearing a long tight black dress and sparkly make-up. I hear a boy call her "Chris". IS is playing World of Warcraft in the middle of my front room on a laptop, and then the party is over. IS and Chris are the only ones that stay. IS leaves the room, and Chris strips down to her underwear, a black corset with black stockings and suspenders. I hear my dad's car arrive, and Chris vanishes. I look out of my bedroom window to the street and see Dad and LA in a kind of stretch limo with two steering wheels, one that doesn't work. OS is pretending to drive using the second wheel (8Years old). I wake up.

So that was my dream. End.

    9. Dreams from Holiday

by , 11-05-2011 at 05:00 AM (Byte's Adventures in Wherever Dreams Are.)
I went on holiday last week, and was finally able to recall dreams again, I remembered 3 in a week. I had been struggling for a while, maybe the break fixed me. No lucidity though Anyway, here goes. (I'll use two capitals to represent a name)

1: I'm in a basement somewhere, and there's a kind of conveyor belt coming out of one of the walls (Like the ones in a SuperMarket). It's hot, and the basement is crowded, full of people dressed like they are going to a gig. I somehow know i'm under my school. It turns out the conveyor is delivering fan packs for several bands. I see one for my favorite band (Modestep) and try to pick it up, but it is taken by someone else. I grab another pack for a different band (Slipknot) and leave. All of a sudden I'm outside the 6th form area of my school. I go inside, and celebrate having a fan pack. The pack turned into a Modestep pack all of a sudden. The confusion must've woken me up...

2: I'm locked in another basement, but this one has vampires in. I'm with AD, OL and LI. One of the vampires (A smexy female one) tries to drink her own blood, but says that it's not good enough. She walks over to me and kisses me, then bites my tongue. I'm a vampire now, and my tongue swells up from the bite (IRL I woke with an insect bite on my leg). The vampire chick walks over to OL and scratches her arms and stomach. The vampire looks at me, and I wake up.

3: I'm at school, in some kind of inside-outside classroom. It's form group time. (First thing before lessons) My biology teacher is in charge of the class. The entire class is in uniform except for one girl I did not recognize. She was wearing a short green dress, knee-high white socks, and had large glasses. She had pale skin and long curly ginger hair, and green eyes. Then we were all swinging on a fence in some kind of protest march. We were asked to stop by the police, so we did. Then I woke up.

So that was all the dreaming I got done over my holiday. I'm happy I can recall dreams again

    10. A couple from last night.

      by , 11-04-2011 at 11:32 PM
Last night, I had some long and vivid dreams that I attribute to some good wine and some tequila (what a mix, right?)

The first dream was about some sort of plague, or virus that had spread. Very cliche. However, it was just me and my son and we were staying in some sort of hotel with a bunch of other survivors. Everybody was cautious of eachother. There was a main apartment where a man lived who sort of ran the whole thing. He was the leader, or the person who was keeping tabs on people and what not. I was a second hand to him. He trusted me and I trusted him. I went up to his place where some others were and I remember I kept discovering these vents under the carpet and I was cutting out the carpet so that the vents were showing. We didn't know what these meant, but we thought that the "others" were somehow infiltrating us through them. A few girls showed up. One of them was "infected" so we thought. We started testing her. I could tell she was infected because her pupils were dilated so big that you couldn't see any color. She was really scared and I was trying my best to comfort her at the same time I was trying to figure out if she were sent. The other two were crying.

I remember making it back down to my apartment with my son. I shut the door and locked it. The place looked exactly like a portion of my house. The middle bedroom, small, and a small bathroom connected to it. There was an armchair and a crib. I think I had a T.V. also.

Something changed in the dream and suddenly I was exiting and entering through a door on top of my place that lead to a street. The street was full of broken down cars and it was chaotic. People running around, being chased. I was sitting at the top of this with my son below me. Two people approached me, I guess they were my friends. They wanted me to come with them somewhere but I told them I couldn't because of my son. Then this guy walked up, perfect looking. He was attractive but that's not what I mean by perfect, I can't explain it. He was just caring and he offered to watch my son while I went with them. I told him thanks and that he was amazing for doing this for me. He said he enjoyed kids and that he would take care of him and protect him. I kissed my son on the head.

That's the last of that dream I remember.

The last dream I had before I woke up, I was at school. It was kind of like high school. I had just left one class and was on my way to another and there was a woman in a little booth selling necklaces. For some reason I thought they were really pretty, even though they were very child-like. There were green and black beads strung on a string. I was really interested in one that had turquoise beads with black. I was talking to her and we had some sort of connection. She was really cool. Then she asked me something strange, and somehow it was related to the necklaces. She said, "Do you have dreams often?" I laughed and nodded. She then asked me, "Do you remember them?" I said yes, and then I said "I actually practice Lucid Dreaming," she gave me a funny look and I went on, "The first thing I have learned to do is to remember my dreams." She seemed interested and gave me a knowing look.

I haven't thought about lucid dreaming in a while and I feel like that should have made me realize I was dreaming. I hate that.

I went on to my next class and I took a seat. It was Biology class. I noticed a couple of friends of mine, M and S. M was talking to S and I was just watching them. Then my husband came into the room and woke me up. I hadn't realized I had been sleeping straight for almost 10 hours.

    11. Martha Stewart's Plotting To Kill Me!

by , 11-04-2011 at 10:16 PM (The Absurd Adventures of CWHunt)
I am with my best friends and we are all poor so we need money. We take up some jobs, but none of them work. We go with the fact we may never actually get money and go home. At some point these two men appear and try to kill my friends and I. We, luckily, escape them and decide to move to get away from them.

The dream changes to us in a car going to The Floating. Its apparently some land with floating chunks of land and whatnot. We arrive and get our houses ready. Afterwards we all meet up and talk about some jobs we could take up. We finally choose to go ahead and be ghost hunters for The Floating.

I know a lot happened while we were ghost hunters but... I don't remember..

After awhile we are hanging at one of my friends' houses. Suddenly something paranormal happens and we decide to look into it. It turns out to be nothing but when we return we find one of my friends mothers, Martha Stewart lying on the ground hurt. We run up to her and she tells us that she had a plot to kill us but her assassins turned on her because she wouldn't pay them.

She hands me a pen and tells us to go and jump off the edge of a cliff because either way we will die. We ask why she wanted us dead, but for some reason she had disappeared. The men suddenly appear and we go running. It begins to rain as we walk along one of the cliffs to get away from these men. We realize that if we stay on the little floating island a few feet in front of us they won't find us.

I jump and grab on but begin to fall off into the void looking thing below. My friends quickly jump on the island and help me up as we stay there the rest of the night. I then wake up soon after.

    12. The Dream of the Play by the River

The Dream of the Play by the River (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I went to a place using the ferry which in real life is used to go from my island to the bigger island. I was with some people I knew, colleagues maybe?
I went to a performance of something I took part in. I think it was a play. The role I had was minor. I discussed it with some higher-ranking guy. We discussed the costume and/or make up. It was night time. We were rehearsing the play by a river. Large, flat rocks were sticking out of the water and were used to cross to the other side. The other bank of the river went up a little and was covered in a gradually thickening forest. It was the main scene of the show.
It sent a feeling of being a beautiful landscape, the river with the rocks and woods behind it. It reminded me a little of the Pyrénées.
    13. Why Was The Toilet So Small? November 3rd, 2011

      by , 11-04-2011 at 09:39 PM
This night, I thought to myself that I hoped I didn't remember many dreams because I would have a lot to write the next morning. Well, my wish came true.

I tried WBTB, to no avail.

The first thing I remember was that Grandmom, Uncle Tom, Dad, and Grandpop were all in the same room. There was something very dramatic in the air, and Dad was lying about something very serious. It involved a red book that was on the cabinet. The setting was my grandparents house on my mom's side of the family, but they have since moved out of there. My dad's lies had something to do with his mom. I woke up in the middle of the night after this dream, and I decided not to write it down, because it was a pretty disturbing dream, the way it was presented, and I didn't want to remember it. I remembered it anyway.

Then, there was a long-winded dream about Metroid (gotta love me some Metroid). This one was the best one is a while, but sadly, I didn't write enough down to remember it. I know there were bits where you controlled the ship in first person, but that's about it. This took place at the old house, too, and I wrote down "Sean", "Grandmom" (I don't know which one), and "Mom."

Then I woke up for the WBTB, and I went back to sleep after writing about the Metroid dream. I should stay up longer.

I had this dream where, I was (well, I was really just watching) Dee from Always Sunny In Philadelphia. The gang was trying to put on this show for these hobos, and they rehearsed some music. Dee was playing guitar, and didn't learn the ending of any of the songs, and they were going to play three. Right before they went on, Dee went up to Mac and said, "Look, just play the first two, and I'll play the last one alone." She was going to improvise what she didn't know. The first two songs went off without a hitch. The crowd loved it. The last song however, which was Asilos Magdalena by The Mars Volta, had some issues. Since I was (sort of) Dee, she knew how to play the song, but forgot the rest of it. What's worse is that the guitar kept flipping around and was backwards for a lot of the song. Luckily, she managed to get into this groove of an A minor, then a C major, then she played a solo to it.

The last dream I had took place in my current house. Brian was watching TV, and I had to go to the bathroom (number 2. It's relevant). The house was very messy, as if we were renovating the whole place, and the kitchen had a checkered black and white style rather than its usual pale tile. I went to the bathroom by the kitchen, but there was renovating in there, too. the normal toilet was taken out, and sitting in the corner, and it was replaced by this impossibly small toilet that only mice would be able to fit on. This room also had black and white checkered tiles on the floor, and the walls were all blue. The door to the bathroom turned into these double doors, with slanted slats in them, so that you could see out if you looked up, but not if you looked down. When I woke up I realised that these were the doors that were to the bathroom closet in the old house. Anyway, I was really having a predicament, since I had to go terribly, but I couldn't because of the toilet. So I yelled for my mom, so she could bring me some toilet paper, although I don't know what good that would have done me. At this point, I am pressing my hand against my ass so that this turd doesn't pop out, because it's getting really loose. My mom shows up and I realise that she can't see anything. Her eyes looked like Neo's from The Matrix when he gets his eyes burnt (the third movie), but it was DE that her eyes looked like this because she was getting an eye version of a pedicure done.

Then I woke up, happy as hell I didn't have to shit in real life.
    14. Weirdest Birthday Party Ever. November 2nd, 2011

      by , 11-04-2011 at 09:03 PM
Tried WBTB, no LD. Sorry if this one feels rushed. It's mostly because it is.

First, there was this Halloween party I was supposed to attend. It was at one of the houses I see on the way to Alec's, but it was Jing was going to be there too, and this other Asian chick who I don't know lived there. I was supposed to go there with Ephraim. I also wrote down "green/red", "strawberry", and "yuigoh", but I don't remember their significance, although I do remember that they had to do with this part of the dream. I also wrote down the word "plants" in quotations, meaning there was weed somewhere in the dream, but I don't remember that either. Anyway, suddenly I was in this other house with Sean, Onyx (school nerd), and some other faceless people. Onyx started talking about twitter to me, saying that everyone in school uses it to remember their homework. I said, "Why would I do that when I could just type it on my phone?" Then I got up in his face and said, "You jelly?" In case you aren't familiar, that's internet lingo for "are you jealous?" Then I realised how stupid this was and went to go sit down, embarrassed. As I went to go sit down, Sean gave off the vibe that he was one of the nerds or something. On Onyx's computer, he had this list of names, and it had something to do with LAN. I saw names like Abe Lincoln, Linkin Park, Sean Connery, etc.

Then I had a false awakening in my room. It looked like my room, but I still knew that this was before the Halloween party. It was DE that I took a nap before going. I didn't do a RC because my brain hates me.

At the party, which now took place in this swag mansion/restaurant, there was a guy who was supposed to be V from V for Vendetta, but he wasn't wearing a mask, and he was a well-known DE actor. All of a sudden, when this one guy comes up behind V, V turns around around shoots him. The guy didn't even have any bad intentions. Anyway, one of the shots fired missed, and went outside and some guy outside dodged the bullet. Andrea and I saw this, and we agreed that this was impossible (NO RC? WHY?!?). Back inside, V had his victim on a table, and he just kept shooting him, but he just wouldn't die. He shot him like ten times, then turned around to walk away, but then the victim would muster up all of his strength to raise his own gun and shoot back. Then V would turn around and shoot him again, like ten times. This repeated for a while.

Then I was in Anthony's living room, but he wasn't there. It was just me, and Dad, and the one couch was on the other side of the room, and everything was white. Dad kept making these comparisons that I didn't understand, like he was referencing things that came before my time or something, and I don't remember what he was comparing, but it had something to do with me. Then I was on Family Guy, except I think I was just watching this part. Stewie and this other character were racing, and they had to race without teleporting. They were in this futuristic looking park, and the whole place looked like a gigantic jungle gym. Stewie, who was sort of me, won, and he said, "This is the greatest moment of my life! Aaaaaand...now it's gone." I guess the feeling wore off quickly.

I woke up at 7 AM.

      Back to sleep.

The next dream I had was started a sequence of dreams. I don't remember what I was doing before hand, or if I was doing anything before hand, but I was stuck on the side of the road. It was raining hard, and there were major floods. The side of the road was completely flooded to the point where you could swim in it. In my dream, I don't know if I couldn't swim, or the water was just too violent, but I was drowning. There was a lot of dirty grass all in the water. There was this guy not too far away sitting with some of his buddies in lawn chairs. They had a tent up and they were just enjoying some beers. Keep in mind we are on this desolate road in the middle of a serious weather situation. I yelled for help, and at first this guy didn't want to help because he didn't feel like getting up. The guy also looked familiar, I think he was a teacher at my school. I yelled for help again, and he finally got up, and it was DE that he was only doing this for fame and fortune. There was another person drowning with me, and the guy who saved me, only grabbed my hand, so I thought fast, and grabbed the other guy's hand to save him too. Then the dream told me the tide was low, so I started to walk home. I saw Rocky, my cat, and I was worried about him, so I picked him up and took him with me. As I was walking this group of kids were walking on the right side on the road. I told them that they could get hit by a car on that side since they can't see behind them. However, every time a car went by, they miraculously didn't get hit.

Then I was at the old house. I'm pretty sure Avatar: The Last Airbender was on TV. The show's plot had something to do with the planet about to explode, and Aang went into outer space to-I have no idea. Anyway, Anthony, his mom, and his sister, Alexis were there, and suddenly, I was in this room with Alexis. I was supposed to talk to her because for some reason, Anthony, and their mom couldn't get through to her, which would never happen in real life. We were in this room (sort of DE that it was inside the TV, but not really) that had plain walls, some art tables, and a door leading out. There was a clothes line that was holding up some papers with art on them. Anyway, we were talking about her interest in art. She was saying that she likes art, but she doesn't see the point in going to school for it, since she knows how to paint. I told her that she may think she knows everything there is to know, but she will get to school and realise that there is so much more for her to learn. As I was talking, I saw Anthony and his mom walk past the doorway to the room, so they could peak in to see how I was doing. This part of the dream could have paralleled my predicament in music, which was similar to Alexis's in the dream.

Then I was back on the road still walking home, except now, I wasn't there, and I was replaced by Alann, and some of his friends. They were late for a party that I was already at. I went inside the house for the party, and I was pretty nervous because I didn't know anyone. I remember it being very sunny outside, like after a storm, and there was a brilliant garden out front. When I walked in the door, there was a room to the left, and if you walked forward, you found the kitchen. Jimmy Neutron's mom was the host of the party, and when I walked in, she offered me this cake that had chocolate on top, vanilla ice cream in the middle, and Oreo cookie on the bottom. It was DE that the father was going to be late for his own kid's birthday party. The father in question was Alann, but now he was some other guy. The dream cut to this guy, who looked like a modern version of Fred Flintstone. He got sidetracked on his way home, even though he was like a block away, and he went to this amusement park. The only thing at the park was this roller coaster that had three or four different tracks, so that four different trains can ride at the same time. Suddenly I was on this platform at the top of the roller coaster, and I saw Rocky on the tracks. I was worried about him again, and I climbed onto the roller coaster tracks to save him. The tracks were very thin, and I could sit on them, as if sitting on a horse. I looked down, and I realised that I was very high up; all I could see were the very small tops of the trees of a forest down below. For some reason this didn't bother me, as I had to hop from track to track to avoid the roller coaster as they went by. The trains were only one car in length.

Anyway, we all get back to the party, and the dad got there JUST in time. Then, we all ate. The host was suddenly Anthony's mom, and I kept dropping food on my lap, and looking over out of the corner of my eye to see if she noticed. I saw that she did notice, and I was pretty embarrassed. The food we ate were these very large trays of steak, peas, carrots corn, and various meats. The vegetables were scattered all over the whole thing, and the steak was in cupcake form. The tray next to that had a bunch of meat that looked like sushi, and it also had these circular rolls of ham (it was DE that they were like my mom makes, although she doesn't make rolls of ham lol). Someone on the other side of the table told me that there was also ham, not just steak, so I tried some of it. This food was the best thing I have ever tasted in my entire life. It was so juicy, and tender, and it just tasted so amazing. Everything at the table tasted great, and when everyone else was done eating, and they went into the other room, I was still at the table eating. Since it was a dream, I couldn't get full, and I just kept eating for a while.

Then I met up with everyone in the next room. There was this robot on the couch, and he had a yellow, pointy head, with a visor over where his eyes would be. He had a round body, and was pretty short. The host of the party powered him up, and we all became miniature, and we went inside this robot dummy. It was supposed to be a simulation of a real body, but for party purposes, it was a rental robot. Inside the body, which reminded me a lot of Bowser's Inside Story, there were there monkey bars made of organs, and there was this ball pit and slide made of organs that all the kids were playing on. But then, I realised that we were trapped. There was this one exit to the body where we were suddenly under this surreal (think Little Big Planet) ocean, and the water was too high (because of the flood in the beginning) so we couldn't leave. I try calling Plankton for help (from Spongebob) on this phone, but it didn't work. Then I went back into the meaty, organ room that we were all initially in, and I saw that everyone else was still having their fun, oblivious to the fact that we were stuck in here. The host, at this point, now morphed into a pink fish. I realised that we needed to call Plankton so he could save us. And I also realised that if you ate this certain kind of food, it changes your urine, so that it can power the phone. A lot of the parents there were suddenly bloopers from Mario (the squids), and their urine would be the most potent. While they worked on this, I went back to the under-sea spot. I found a giant metal pole that I tried to stick out of the ground so that this spider that was on it could crawl up, then onto this tree, and go get help. When the spider was crawling up, I could feel the vibrations through the pole. It was pretty weird. Debbie, my mom's friend, was suddenly there next to me, and she was worried that we wouldn't get out. Then the tide was low again, and I walked out. I walked towards the ocean, which was now an under-sea beach, and to the left, and up a hill. Everyone was disappointed because they ate all of that special food for nothing. When we were out of the body and back at the house, I realised that the host fish had this slot on her stomach. It was for a pole attachment, so I took the pole, put it in the slot, and held up the fish, like a balloon. I showed her around the house, as if she was a guest. Then I showed her outside, as if she was unfamiliar with our world. The seasons changed right in front of us, so I could show her each season.
    15. The Hunt for The O

by , 11-04-2011 at 08:28 PM (Dreams are p cool, man.)
So here's a snippet from a dream I thought was interesting that has left me feeling all happy-happy for the day.

I was in and out of lucidity, running down a street at night. Sometimes I'd vaguely realize I was dreaming and try to shout some command but a few moments later, I'd forget and just keep doing what I was doing. I also knew I was worrying about waking up so I think that was preventing me from becoming fully lucid and just doing whatever I wanted, because that worry was becoming an obsession.

Suddenly I came across a driveway full of cars. I assumed there was some party going on. I was lucid for a second again, but just enough for my brain to be like, "Hey Tara. What's up? I'm pumping a lot of blood to your vagoo, since you're in REM sleep and all, soo you're just gonna go look for sex now, okay?" and that's exactly what I did after losing lucidity again.

I walked through all of the parked cars, casually looking for someone to have sex with. I found one occupied car but the person inside was asleep or something. I don't quite remember, but either way, I kept looking. I came across another car with a young man inside browsing his phone. He kind of looked like the actor who played Thomas Kalmaku in the new Green Lantern film, with the glasses and everything. I quietly opened the door and said, "Hey." He said the same back and I bluntly and casually said, "Do you wanna have sex?" He seemed a bit confused and asked why and I said something like, "Because I want to, it's fun and it feels good." After fiddling around on his phone for a few more seconds, he nodded and said, "Sure." but seemed kind of tired and not into it. I asked if we could go in the backseat because he wasn't moving, so we did. The dream sort of abruptly transitioned to us being in the back seat.

We were laughing and eating orange creamsicles. Well, I was mostly acting like a goof and making him laugh. He commented on how silly I was. The excitement died down as we finished our creamsicles and sat in silence. The car light made everything orange and grainy, but provided enough light for me to see that he was smiling at me. He looked somewhat contemplative, like he was pondering the weirdness of the situation and who I was. I smiled back for a long while before glancing at his lips. My ears burned and face flushed, I could feel it. My heart was beating uncomfortably fast and hard. I had the overwhelming urge to kiss him and the overwhelming desire for him to kiss me. After staring at my feet and gathering my courage back up, I stared at him again, then looked at his lips while he sheepishly muttered, "I'm not going to have sex with you." I chuckled, smiled and nodded. I wasn't all that bothered. We were having a genuinely good time, as if we were best friends. I had kind of figured the sex wasn't going to happen as soon as the dream transitioned to us laughing in the back seat. But I still wanted to kiss him. I'm upset that I didn't. My vision faded as I began to have a false awakening, in which I went on Facebook and saw that the guy from the dream had added me and I was astounded that I dreamed of him before even knowing he existed. I was also quite excited to actually be friends with him. Then I woke up for real and was very disappointed but quite pleased with my brain for coming up with such a nice dream.
