1. Disneyland, Lucid Dream, Advanced Task, Jason Todd

by , 02-26-2016 at 09:35 PM
The dream started with me and a group going to Disneyland because of a show I was watching or something. I remember seeing a ride that looked like a prison with a barbed fence around it, but then we went onto a water ride. There was a long line but we snuck onto one of the last boats, and this woman came and was asking who wasn't supposed to be on the ride, and suddenly I was Jason Todd and chasing after another Robin who was on the ride.

The dream then changes to me in my bedroom on my bed, but I know it's a dream and I do an RC where I pinch my nose yet can still breathe and go lucid. I remember the challenge where I have to walk though the wall in my room and see where I end up, but when I do it I end up outside my house. I then jump back into my room through my window by flying up to it and try it with a different wall because I remembered the challenge saying I has to go to another dimension or it wouldn't count. I kept trying to go through another wall in my room, but this time I couldn't go straight through it. I tried narrating that I would go through the wall since narrating usually helps, but I had to slide to the side and then back in order to pass through it. On the other side I was in a blue room filled with older men and I was surrounded with like a history of America. I remember seeing the date 1500 and thinking about how America wasn't founded that early.

That's when I woke up.

There are two dreams that i had, and both included conflict and tension. It was fun. Can't believe that i have finally started having a lot of interesting dreams without lucidity.. With this aside, there won't be too many details as i don't recall a lot by now. I always DJ in my head and unless it was a very interesting dream that i have to remember later, i don't write down.

I'm in my room with some people.

- I have a wooden katana in my room IRL. It did appear in this dream, as two wooden swords instead of one -

As my room's door opened, a girl with orange-like hair was standing right by the door. I was immediately shaken with fear once i saw her. I remember telling the people near me to hand me a weapon, which was 2 duplicates of my wooden sword.

- Events happening around the kitchen of my house. I have a feeling that things were a bit creepy back then -

I was in my living room and the lighting got dark. I had a small spotlight that emitted a blue ray of light. As that girl came out from the kitchen towards the room, i pointed the light at her which was effective in making her back away. A few moments after that, the lights came back on. She was about to get close and i freaked out when my weapons fell on the ground. I pulled out a pen from my pockets and threw it towards her to buy some time to pick up my weapon.

After i picked the swords up, i dashed towards her and i blocked her weapon's attack (Don't know what her weapon was) with one sword then i made a 360 spin to build momentom and striked her with my other sword. My sword somehow cut right through her chest and the dream instantly ended.

Things felt strange.. Why did i feel threatened? I don't recall her taking the initial attacks or anything, just that things got creepy. Unfortunately though, i'm not used to questioning dream enemies or anything like that since i didn't get a lot of dreams like this before. I feel a bit bad right now because i think that person wasn't intending harm.. Well, nothing i can do now.. can i? It felt creepy in the dream for some reason. Appearance-wise from what i remember, that person looked familiar.. Maybe closer in appearance to this character?

There was another dream about some sort of gang infiltrating my house to reach the rooftop. There was apparently some valuable stuff in a room in the rooftop.. I read the number plate of the van those people had, and it looked weird. Shame i didn't get lucid, but it's alright i guess. There was a sniper too.. Tension is all i need.

3. Return of the catfight dream

by , 02-26-2016 at 06:26 PM (Journal #86)
2/26/16: I haven't had a catfight (a fight involving two or more people, or girls, to be more specific) dream in six years.

This time, instead of a classroom like in 2010, it was inside a WWE-style ring equipped with ropes and turnbuckles--and I was in the middle, trying to break up a fight between two girls. The aggressor, who appeared to have been of a mixed race, was kind of a cross between Beyoncé and Ashanti mixed with America Ferrera, and had mannerisms identical to Shane McMahon of the WWE's Attitude Era (Shane: 2000-01 (including the Alliance (WCW/ECW) storyline)) and Ruthless Aggression era (Shane: 2006-07) and 2015 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Kyle Busch--years (2008-14) before the near-career-ending crash near the final lap of the 2015 season-opening XFINITY Series race at the Daytona International Speedway.

The girl she was bullying, however, while yelling the words, "How about I start with yours?", holding her 6 to 8 feet in the air, was a mix between Lauren Conrad, Sarah Michelle Gellar, and Alicia Silverstone, and had mannerisms similar to 1-time WWE Champion Jeff Hardy, known for his high-flying aerial moves and UFC great Ronda Rousey, known for her savage, devastating armbar submission holds that usually puts an end to matches in the UFC in the women's division, which she competes in at about 12-14 seconds, in which most of those led to championships--before Holly Holm showed up and shocked the MMA world by beating her by TKO. I think this DC had French-braided her hair, similar to Rousey's in her fights (I think). It ended the same way after she shouted to the mixed girl, "Wait--what are you doing?!". She flips the mixed girl over, turning the countered body slam into a Rousey-like armbar. I am not sure what to do, as I didn't see the mixed girl try to tap out and then the dream ends.

This dream taught me two hard lessons: to watch what I eat--especially at night. I'm never doing that again, that's for sure. The other was to never give up, as a month ago, my grandmother passed away at the age of 89 and I didn't know where to go or what to do and everything intensified.

4. The Taste of Broken Glass

by , 02-26-2016 at 03:31 PM
My parents and I go to stay and my uncle Denis' for a week. There's some kids there, and they're fighting for my attention, especially the girls. For some reason, my mouth is full of broken glass, which I'm constantly spitting out.

I'm about to go to bed, when I see a kitten jump into a laundry chute in the wall. I open it to look because I want to pet the kitten, and see more kittens jump in it. Then some woman comes in with even more kittens, these ones smaller. She keeps finding smaller and smaller kittens and putting them in the chute, until they kittens are about the size of ants. Then she accuses me of squishing one and gives me a dirty look.

I go to bed, still spitting broken glass, and find broken glass all over the bed. I pull off the sheets, and find it's just covered in broken glass. Not just loose pieces, there are chunks of window glass embedded into the mattress, sticking out with sharp jagged edges about 4-5 inches. It looks like it was done on purpose. I go find my uncle, in a room with everyone else, to call him out. "DENNIS!" I yell, and he pulls his hat over his eyes and pretends to be asleep. I grab the mother fucker, tell everyone about the glass, and say he either did it on purpose, or he's just a complete fucking idiot. I'm still spitting out broken glass the entire time, and my tongue and lips are getting sore from all the little cuts.

Dennis grabs some bedding and goes to set me up somewhere else to sleep, and I follow. He lays out a mat and some blankets on the sidewalk, and I lay down. I lay there for a few minutes, looking around, watching some people in the park before deciding this is some bullshit. He expects me to sleep on the sidewalk right next to the street? Fuck that shit! I get up and storm back to the house. Entering the house, I see a kitten in the doorway, and the more I look, the more kittens I see.

Once back inside, I see the kids again, and notice there's something off about them. They look like inbred mutants. I notice one of the girls has a penis, but one that looks like a weird animal penis, it's just disturbing. They are also evil and have powers. They are the ones responsible for all this broken glass in my mouth, which I'm still spitting out.

I begin to realize all the adults in this house are at the mercy of these evil little monsters. The situation is just so fucked up, that I become lucid! I fly down a hallway and see an opening to some sort of store. I fly inside and see bars on the walls, behind which are the store's limited wares. There isn't much, but up high on the wall I see a large machine gun behind some metal bars, and figure that's a great start for any lucid dream. I fly up, rip off the metal bars and take the machine gun. It's monstrously huge, and would make a gatling gun look small.

I land, and make my way out of the building, mowing down anything in my way with the gun. Once outside, I drop the gun and take to the air again. I fly in a standing position and have no problems controlling my flight. I'm very careful not to look back or let my thoughts dwell on the previous part of the dream, lest I make it real again. I land in a park next to a stage, hoping there will be a concert, but it's too late and too dark.

I either forget what happens next, or got woken up by the neighbors. That breaks a lucid dry spell I've had for almost two months!

It didn't seem like I did much with my lucidity, but I'm proud of how I didn't look back, like the biblical story of Lot's wife, surely that was a lesson about dreaming. Everything requires your attention to exist in a dream.

The mouth full of broken glass likely comes from a magic spell based on the princess and the pea I suggested someone use yesterday. Only I suggested broken glass or thorns instead of a pea. Never going to post publicly about that kind of magic again

5. [Non-Lucid] Ship Escape

by , 02-26-2016 at 09:57 AM (SilverDreams' Reality Journal)
26/2/16

I was on a larger cruiser boat, sitting across from a man I'd never met. I made conversation, and we spoke about where he's going, then I asked what drew him to the place we're going. He replied "Because of the fish." I smiled broadly, and snickered. We sat for a while when suddenly everyone started getting up in a panic. I jumped up and walked to the balcony behind me, beyond which was a lower deck, and the lower deck was the way out. It soon became apparent that we were sinking. I looked outside, and the top of the water was fast rising to meet the sky. I climbed through the port hole, barely fitting through, until I got onto/into the deck. It seemed to be all airtight despite not looking at all how it looked just a second ago. We began sinking, but no water was getting in. A man said "We're a century underwater now" or something to that effect, and I pushed aside a woman who was looking out a window to the outside and clambered through at the last second, making a rapid ascension to the surface. When I broke the surface I was in some room, with a large submersion pool that presumably led to the ocean. A woman was there, and we began talking about a rescue plan, or a salvage one. She discussed this plan with me, and I noticed a girl walking around the facility, she resembled Rei from Evangelion. I was distracted, and the woman talking to me said "Put your (head)phones on.", but then introduced us and I woke up shortly after.

I was in school, at a biology lesson. Teacher called me to herself and gave several questions - and before I could respond, she explained them all. The bell rang, we left classroom. It was dinner time, but I wasn't hungry. I went to toilet - again this place was convulsed mess of cabins, dirt and stuff. I entered one cabin - it was a long corridor that ended with door leading outside. There was a toilet seat in the middle of the room. As I approached it, students from older class entered it. I left the toilet and went upstairs, but suddenly whole building started to turn and I had to escape, trying not to fall on random useless objects lying around. I managed to do it and run back to main hall.

7. Miniature Lion

by , 02-26-2016 at 08:26 AM
Morning of February 26, 2016. Friday.

It is morning. My family and I are living in our house as it is now, though there is seemingly much more floor space, especially in the southwest area of our house where our bed would otherwise be. Our youngest children are playing and walking around. I soon notice a miniature lion, which follows them around. This “lion” is only about the size of our youngest daughter. Even so, it soon opens its mouth very wide and somehow swallows our youngest daughter in one movement. I am at first only vaguely startled by this otherwise impossible visual, though because of subliminal awareness of being in the dream state, my dream resets.

In my reset dream, I start to consider that it is not a very intelligent idea to have a miniature lion running around when they could just swallow someone in one gulp. I start to question why such an animal would even be available to have as a pet. Our daughter is swallowed “again” and I sense it will next swallow our son even though our son is about twice its size. Again, my dream resets so that this event did not “actually” occur. I consider getting rid of the lion before it does “actually” happen, though only after several resets. I may chase it outside through the back door. Instead, my dream fades.

A lion, even a miniature one as here, is an emergent consciousness factor (ECF) of RAS (reticular activating system) modulation. Its autosymbolic purpose is that it swallows the illusory dynamics of the dream state into rational whole consciousness (coalescence) in a similar way as white blood cells swallow and digest solid foreign matter. Dreams are reset like this when consciousness reascension is much slower, sustaining liminal space, indicated in this case by the absence of our bed with the emergent consciousness sentinel in its place.

Worst recall ever this morning.

Few memories of doing something at school. Being stood outside the main hall as everyone came out of assembly.

Walking into a shopping arcade, but everything was closed.

That's about it!

9. [LUCID]Dog double

by , 02-26-2016 at 02:25 AM
Nap time
Dog double
I'm in my bedroom. A shower head is mounted on the wall above the bed, and it's spraying towards the door. I notice that it's missing the bed and getting the carpet wet, so I turn the knob (mounted on the wall above my pillow) to turn off the shower. Now I'm walking on the carpet near the door, and I'm confused that I still hear water falling. I wonder if it's because I'm squishing the wet carpet, but the noise just isn't right.

I notice my dog near my feet, then notice another dog out in the hallway. My first thought is to wonder how another dog got into the house. My next thought is concern that my dog and the other dog are going to get into a fight. I look back towards my dog and see him staring at the new dog. I realize that both dogs look identical and look around to see if I'm somehow seeing my dog in a mirror; but I don't see one.

Now I'm standing near my window looking at both dogs - but this time the new dog is white. I briefly wonder if I'd thought he was black because he was in a dark hallway, then I wonder if I'm dreaming. I don't really think I am, but I go ahead and do a nose-pinch test, and I'm surprised to find that I am, in fact, dreaming.

Now I know I'm dreaming, but my vision has almost completely grayed out. I can see through only a very narrow vertical sliver, and it's closing. I raise my hands to where I can see them and start to rub them together, but it doesn't help. I can feel my hands rubbing, but only barely, as if they're mostly numb. I try to will my vision back, but it's no good. My vision grays out completely, and I lose the dream.

10. DJ#95: School and Cut

by , 02-25-2016 at 10:41 PM (BlairBros' Adventures)
25/2/16:
Dream 1: I was at school in a classroom with a few other people. A girl came up to me and my brother and asked him a question in Chinese. He was quite taken aback and struggled to say anything, so I took over and talked with her a bit. After this I walked around the schoolyard a bit, until I looked down and saw a giant gash in my thigh. I don't what had caused it, but there was a cut on my quadriceps about 10 cm along and a few cm deep, so much so that I could peel it away a bit and see the muscle. It wasn't bleeding much but I rushed to the first aid room where they were pretty concerned about it.

A fragment about something I have now forgotten.

Had to rush to work this morning so didn't write my journal. Can't remember too much now.

1) Cycling in the town I used to live in. Turned around then stopped. I was with some people. Opened up a drink and it sprayed all over a friend, he wasn't too bothered.

2) In a class of some sort. I was watching a weird magic show. Two people were dressed up in silly suits sitting in a large aquarium which got filled with water. I think they were going to try to escape from it.

12. The Reluctant Dragon (DILD)

by , 02-25-2016 at 09:43 PM
Ritual: Set vibrating alarm for 40m at 6:20am. I don't remember it going off, but I began dreaming that I was trying to fall asleep, until it gradually dawned on me that I was already dreaming. It was 7:19 when I awoke, so given that the dream must have manifested at some point after the signal went off at 7am (since it was not interrupted by it), it could have lasted up to 19m. I'm classifying this as DILD and not EILD since lucidity was not initiated by recognition of the device signal.

DILD: Initially I am on a beach, lying on a sort of cot, trying to fall asleep. There are other people all around me, and their activity and noise is keeping me awake. I mention aloud to someone nearby that I seem to be entering REM state even while awake, as I notice crisp and colorful visuals superimposing themselves over my visual field. Even though the new scene is layered over the old one, it is distinct enough that I can make out details: I am at the edge of a river running through a futuristic city. Some sort of V-shaped flying craft is flying in tripartite geometrical formations up above, the crafts each giving off light colored red, white, or blue, each grouped into a separate section. Is this meant to be a patriotic display?

I do not change position, but the cot I'm lying on becomes a sort of couch as the environment around me resolves into a room full of kids. Someone plays a video on a TV monitor, which annoys me because I am trying to fall asleep and the music is distracting. But then they mention that the video features Jonathan Tweet, and the name sounds familiar. When I remember it is one of my favorite game developers, I take more interest in the video and sit up.

Something makes me think this is a kind of school where the kids are learning lucid dream abilities. One boy, bald, sits to the left of me on my couch and he's trying to test his powers against me. He takes my hand in his, which begins to glow blue, and I realize that he's trying to "crystal" me, that is, harm me with the pale blue light he is creating. I counter it easily, however. This frustrates him and he begins trying to bite me. He opens a disturbingly wide mouth and tries to chomp down on my hand, but I counter him by softening both his flesh and his resolve, so that mouth sags toothlessly and he never completes the bite. We go through this cycle three or four times before I tire of the game and get up.

By now I'm aware that I am already dreaming, and I walk into the next room, recalling my personal goals. [I accomplish a personal task, finding a certain fictional character, then suggest that we become dragons to fulfill one of the TOTYs.]

I lead the way to a window and lift it open. We're about four storeys up, but I jump out without hesitation and spread my arms, letting the air catch me. As I fly off to the left, I focus on trying to develop the "feel" of a dragon body: four legs, wings, tail, scaly skin. I haven't tried this before and the results are so-so, a fluctuating hybrid between the new bodymap and my usual one. I am flying over what strikes me as a mid-twentieth-century city. There are no skyscrapers, just a mixture of low commercial and residential buildings that cover a wide expanse. I recall that the task requires me to destroy a village, but the city below seems too urban to qualify. Would a neighborhood count as a "village"? But my moral qualms kick in, and I hesitate to bring wrath upon an innocent residential neighborhood.

I fly further on, toward the edge of the city, looking for a more remote target, preferably one with few occupants. After exploring the land for a while, I find a spot that, while a stretch to call it a "village," at least satisfies my ethical preoccupations: it is a cluster of buildings around a large industrial apparatus, evidently a manufacturing concern of some kind. I don't notice any people wandering around, so hopefully there are not many on site to be harmed. I can't imagine I'll find a better target (at least in relation to my own concerns, rather than the specifications of the task), so I begin circling over the site, breaking the buildings and bashing them down. Meanwhile I focus on maintaining my dragon form; this takes constant vigilence because it is so unfamiliar, and too easily slips into sensations more congruent with human limbs.

What color dragon am I? I recall that D&D dragons can take many different colors, with corresponding breath weapons. On the ruins of the factory, I test acid and frost breath in turn, trying to decide which feels more natural. I like the effects of frost—after freezing metal walls solid they shatter in a satisfying way—but then I remember that the task specifies leaving flaming ruins in my wake, so I switch to fire. There isn't much in the way of visuals; rather than great gouts of flame, my fire breath is more of an intense heat that makes metal glow red. But I dutifully knock down and burn the factory into rubble.

Afterwards, I hover anxiously over the destroyed site to see if anyone was harmed by my stunt. (I know, I know, I make a terrible dragon.) I do spot someone—something?—running around frantically, but as I peer closer, it does not look human at all. Curiously, it appears to be a small white gem that I take to be a cubic zirconia, attached to a tiny wire loop that looks like it must have once been the pendant of an earring. The sense of scale has been skewing dramatically as I have been peering closer, and now I feel back to my normal human size and form, kneeling over ruined buildings the size of an architectural model. I look carefully and spot two more little gems running around. Unless there are more I don't see, three victims isn't too bad, and at least they're still alive, even if they're looking understandably anxious. (How do gems even look anxious? It was something in the way they moved.)

[I've been concentrating on my task and realize I have lost track of my friend. I look for him and we are briefly re-united before I wake up.]

2/25/16

Very, very short semi-lucid dream had from roughly 10:20 to 10:40.
Became lucid at the end for a very short time.

General theme was flight/dating?...

~

After meeting a trans girl at the local Home Depot one night, we agreed to hook up and “see where it took us”. As was polite, we introduced our various personality facets and I casually brought up my ability to fly.
Well, not so much “brought up” as “constantly hovered a few inches off the ground, proving the point beyond doubt”.
Upon reaching her family's truck, she courteously invited me to ride with them whilst also casually showing off her own flight powers, making me feel less special and more sad at the same time.
Naturally, I declined, because nobody wants to ride in a grubby old pickup truck, especially not when they can fly. Instead, I negotiated with the parents to fly alongside the truck and tail it thusly to their residence.

And basically, that's just what I did. At this point, I had at least a bit of conscious control over how I flew and I was definitely aware I was flying, and proceeded to goof around the truck whilst it was in motion.
However, things got serious when the truck achieved flight while driving down a short hill, and the airborn junk pile quickly outpaced me. But I wasn't to be undone so easily, and gathering all of my power, I put on a significant speed boost. (Unfortunately, the speed frightened me and my mind materialized a truck behind me for me to hold onto and stabilize myself).

I had just outpaced the derelict vehicle and was proceeding in the general direction of a close-by snow-covered hillside when I finally decided to assert my control over the dream and achieved lucidity. Noticing the sun on the horizon, I decided to myself that on that horizon was an immense mountain that would go far, far beyond the clouds, and that I would climb it.

Unfortunately, my stupid real-life brother's ringtone woke me up just as I was about to proceed on this heroic journey and despite efforts to remain otherwise, I sadly awoke.

I'm doing Dry Lake runs (a level in the game Path of Exile), laying waste to hordes of enemies. Some of the bosses are smart, and it gets personal.

This eventually evolves into a zombie/demon siege on a certain house I'm at. That scenario keeps resetting, and my knowledge from previous iterations are not very useful n dealing with the situation.

I always find it difficult to extract detail from a dream when I'm doing the same thing over and over.

Fragment

I was in home with my younger sister. It was a late evening and it was quite dark outside. Random stuff was thrown all around on the ground. We talked for a while, moving between messy rooms.

First dream

Suddenly I found myself on a street. I was a black dude wearing jeans trousers and a green shirt. I was there with my grandpa - a black man wearing white t-shirt and dark jeans trousers. We were going to a skyscraper, as an evil businessman have kidnapped my girlfriend for some reason. I entered the building and ran around it, devastating everything until I got into his office. Finding no one there, I outright destroyed it. Suddenly I realized that now he took my grandpa. I ran out of building and tried to run after him, but I was too late and someone grabbed him to a yellow car.

Second dream

I was in school after some time of absence. It was a weird day - people from local forestry offices came to our school. No one was prepared for this, and teacher was a bit angry about that. When I saw what's going on I said that it would be better to hide somewhere. But first I went to cafeteria and took a glass of milk, drank it and thought that I really should hide. I went to toilets - the room was much bigger and dirtier than originally. I hid in one of the cabins - there was no stench but a lot of dirt. I thought that I'll have hard time getting out of this labyrinth.

False awakening

I woke up in my bed, and immediately thought about school and explaining myself from hiding. Next I thought about dream recall, and fallen asleep again.
