    1. 7/31/14: Skyrim

by , 08-01-2014 at 09:54 PM (Dreams and Stuff, y'know...)
I was in the Province of Tamriel, running around doing quests as usual. I finished a quest and got another few that were part of the main questline. One was titled "Slay Hand" and they each popped up in front of me in big white letters, as they would in the actual game. After getting these quests, I traveled to the location that they asked me to. It was some kind of either farm/temple/castle thing. I'm not really sure. Either way, it looked entirely different depending on where you were seeing it from, (as in, whether you were outside in the front, in the back, inside in the main room, out in the courtyard-ish thing) though it was never really that "grand" however you looked at it. Some kind of fairy queen lived there and there, as well as a family. I continued completing and receiving quests there but I never seemed to finish the "Slay Hand" quest. A few of the quests involved me helping the residents of the farm/castle/temple bring in their goats or rams or whatever before "something" happened. It was either some kind of storm or an attack. I can vaguely recall part of the questline involving some monsters who wanted to attack the fairy queen, so that might have some relevance to that particular scene. I also had to travel away from the farm/castle/temple for a few quests. One of the quests involved me partaking in one of their family games where one of the girls (she was somewhat tomboyish) would throw insects out of a bag and I would have to catch them. Being that I have a fear of insects, I never caught any and instead tried to dodge each throw. When one got stuck on my face, she asked if I was scared of bugs ( she was very clearly having the time of her life here) and told me there was one on my face. I tried to shake my head to get the bug off and ended up banging my head on the wall behind me in real life. However, there are a few more details I'd like to take note of here. Throughout my journey, I had some kind of party with me. One of the party members was a woman who reminded me of a fusion between Carol and Andrea from The Walking Dead. At one point, when entering the building, I tried to act polite and gentlemanly letting the lady go in first and though, "What a bitch!" as she shooed me off rather viciously, preoccupied with another member of the party. I then questioned why I never really treated her as a girl or even though of her as one and inferred that it was because she acted like a man quite often. Also, I was completely aware (for the most part) that I was playing a game and even told the characters something along the lines of "Man, I really hope this questline doesn't end soon. This place is awesome!" At this point, I was thinking about the later quests (which, aside from my "added details", actually are in the game) where you
      Spoiler for SPOILER ALERT:
Although I had the general gist of the quests in mind, the whole memory was tainted by memories of other dreams I'd had and thoughts of the game Myst. (I somehow thought the ending of Skyrim took place in some kind of Treegate-ish area.) Finally, I remember noticing I had on some white and gold armor with a velvet red cape, suggesting to me that I was a noble of some sort.

    2. Overview: July 2014

by , 08-01-2014 at 08:28 PM (My lucid comeback!)
      TOTAL DREAMS: 81

      TOTAL LUCID: 4

      Average dreams per night: 2,6

Dreamsigns: Prison, school, begin/ending of school (year), danger, stress, friends, night sky, war, alone

      Best technique(s): DEILD, SSILD

Personal evaluation: Interrupting sleep with early alarms lowers overall DR and should be replaced with naturall awakening using auto-suggesting.

Goals for next month: 8 lucid dreams and an average DR of 3 dream per night.

    3. At Least There Were Dragons

      by , 08-01-2014 at 07:28 PM
      Don't remember much.

I'm in some sort of underground network, mining or digging or something with some other people. I notice a tunnel that goes very far. I wonder who could have made such a tunnel. My friends think I'm looking for the bathroom.

I'm walking down a street and there's something about a guy telling me that his mom lets him sleep on a filthy mattress or something like that.

There are these mini gargoyle things everywhere and I'm putting bird wings on them with the object gun from Garry's Mod. I can't get them all because I'm on the move, but all the gargoyles come with me and we fight these dragons that are on the raised walkway of a castle, like the great wall of china.
    4. GMOs and Vampires!

      by , 08-01-2014 at 06:28 PM
I was hanging out in my house, it was night time, and I suddenly felt like I was in a dream. In fact, I was so confident that I was in a dream that I tried to run head first through a wall. Ow. Bounced right off and fell over. I wasn't so sure it was a dream anymore, so I tried my usual test and I used mind powers to make a plant fly out of its pot. Didn't work at first, tried again, didn't work, tried again, didn't work. I was feeling pretty stupid, but I tried one last time and it worked! The plant flew out of the pot and turned into a cartoon plant.

I tried walking through the wall this time, still solid . Sometimes the magic works and sometimes it doesn't. I opened the door and started to stroll down the sidewalk when two cars packed with party people peeled into the driveway. My sister was with them and she said, "Wait! Don't go on your adventure yet, I want you to see this thing first". She then disappeared and I followed the party people into a house across the street. It was a pretty mellow party, just people chatting. One of the guys started talking to me (I had sex with his girlfriend in a previous dream so I was a little hesitant that he was going to punch me or something). He said to me, "There's a facility in our backyard that researches genetically modified organisms, we're going to go check it out in a while". Then he started talking about how he was trying to find a way to increase the magnetism of the soil. I said something about either using plates to create an electric field or dispersing magnetic rocks throughout the soil. He liked what I said, but I had a feeling that what I was saying made no sense since my ideas aren't always that great in dreams. I looked up this magnetic soil idea when I woke up and it turns out that it is a real thing. Increased magnetism in the soil will make plants grow larger, faster. Pretty cool!

I saw a couple of my old best friends at the party and I decided it was time to go explore this research facility. While me and several other DC's were walking out the door to the backyard, one of the party people DC's jumped on my back and told me that he was a vampire. I said to him, "Great, so am I"! I knew that we would be great friends. It was still the middle of the night, there was almost no moonlight out. The grass was wet and the air was humid but cool. We walked across a huge field to get to the facility where we were greeted by guard dogs and a guard hyena. They attacked my companions so I walked up to the dogs, one by one, and put my hands over their faces. Smoke came out of my hands each time and entered their bodies. I told them each that they would never hurt another living creature and they all dropped to the ground and pinned their ears back in submission. The vampire DC was still on my back, he would whisper things in my ears as I did unnatural things like, "Yes...YES...very good....YESSSSSssss". We explored the facility for only a few minutes before heading back to the house.

Back inside, the vampire master jumped off my back and went to sit on his vampire throne. I asked him to teach me how to turn into a bat. He was overjoyed at the opportunity and he leapt 20 feet across the room onto a giant stage where he turned very cliche bat-like vampire with the piggy nose and everything. Then he exclaimed to everybody that a new vampire would be joining their coven. I was forced to bow before him. Smoke emanated from his body and filled the room, I breathed it in, and that was supposed to help me turn into a bat. I tried to turn into a bat, but I only managed to turn my arms into wings. I flew around for a few seconds before giving up on that transformation. I thought to myself, maybe a wolf will be easier. I got on all fours and quickly changed into a tiny, white wolf. I pranced around gleefully for a few seconds before I woke up.

    5. No Tums For You

      by , 08-01-2014 at 06:25 PM
~7:15 PM - 750 mL, oral, Cabernet Sauvignon red wine
      ~9:00 PM? - 2 shots, oral, whipped cream-flavored vodka

These drinks were not intended to be taken as supplements, I was just drinking with friends.... However, I figured I'd mention them as they actually had an effect on my dreams, albeit not a positive one. This is just a fragment in any case.

I was at an apartment with my friend M, which makes sense because I fell asleep in that particular setting after a night of drinking. I remember seeing her in her kitchen and asking her if she had any Tums to help settle my stomach, which was feeling a little distressed after my night of drinking and not being able to get dinner. There was more to the dream than that, but that's where my memory cuts off.

The only reason I even remember this fragment is because when I woke up this morning my stomach was still aching, and I though to myself that I really wish M had had some Tums, not that they would have helped. (Maybe dream placebo?) This is the second time a hangover has seeped into my dreams.... The last time I just had a headache and felt really weak, which made me sit out on a forest adventure.

My thought for the future: probably better not to drink and dream.

    7. Competition night #5 guest starring car flipping take two!

      by , 08-01-2014 at 03:30 PM
      Dream one:

I'm arriving at the Gables [my grandparents' house] with a couple of others (family members?) And it's somewhat empty because my grandparents are planning to sell up (and move to a smaller house, probably)

I accidentally stomp mud all over the freshly hoovered carpets from my big boots and go to look for the "hodduddudduh" to sweep it up. The carpet sweeper is as useless as ever, just spreading the mud around.

Mum comments that she'd love to live here and I doubt she could afford it because it's much bigger that armoury gardens.

      Dream two:
I've been kidnapped to make drugs like in Breaking Bad. Walter White is asleep in a bed and I try to wake him up to get him to help me. The man who's coercing me into making drugs explains that he's drugged and not likely top wake up soon. I also feel very heavy limbed as if I'm recovering from being drugged. I get dressed and can't find any socks because I didn't pack any as I wasn't expecting to stay.

      Dream three:
I'm in a spherical spaceship with three competing/cooperating factions controlling their own sectors of the ship. I'm inside the ship with the other two captains, trying out some gizmos. There's one that lets us mimic each other perfectly (like a holographic disguise with voice simulation)

The three factions are stereotypes, one of them is a very by-the-book character, which I rib him about when I mimic him. I touch the left of his three eyelids (on my face while I'm disguised as him) and he gets very angry, apparently there's some kind of cultural taboo I'm breaking. He grabs my arm and tells me he'll break it of I don't stop, and rip it off altogether of I do it again.

      I stop.

Then we look at some close combat weapons, one in particular grabs my attention, it's a glove with razor sharp blades, hooked at the end. It's labeled the 'killingpriest". It reminds me of Vega from Street Fighter.

There's also a selection of smaller hook like things with sharp ends which the third captain uses to rip the helmet off my face, scratching my nose in the process. Ouch.

      Lucid dream one!
I'm arriving at some kind of jacuzzi establishment with a posse of friends. I climb into a jacuzzi booth through tinted cellophane windows that are supposed to make marketing photography more realistic. There's no water in the jacuzzi bit there is a round table about 8ft across. I sit at the table with a random chap. A couple of girls look on like they're going to join us but decide to go for the overcrowded both next door instead. I laugh and comment that nothing feels like rejection as much as girls preferring to be cramped with old folk than sit with us!

Another couple of girls come into our booth and we start spinning the table which spins the both too, like the teacups at the amusement park. One of the girls has her feet sticking right out into the slave inner the table where I want my feet. I'm not sure if o should be irritated or if she's trying to flirt.

Pizza arrives! I'm not sure if were supposed to get food here but we tuck in anyway. I notice my buddies outside of the booth sitting at a bar eating together, so I get up and join them. Steve G has a plate stacked high with various cured meats and comments that one of them in particular is almost pure salt. I all if I can try it and he offers me the slice. It's like the basin equivalent of a single malt whisky, full of deep rich unexpected flavours. I ask him where he got out from and he days there's a charcuterie exhibit on down the road, so I go to investigate.

I wander through the stalls in a dimly lit exhibition hall, most of which are giving out free samples, but I somehow end up at one that's charging for samples and don't have s penny on me :-(

I head back to the jacuzzi place (to borrow some money from a friend?) but realise that there were stalls giving out free samples so I go back down the hill again.

I'm waking into the town centre like area with a swarm of other people milling around trying to get to wherever they're going, most going in the same direction, but stone going elsewhere and I'm feeling a little frustrated by having to squeeze through the crowd, so the possibility of floating over them cones to mind (I've been using visualisation of floating and environment manipulation as a daytime practice, which seems to have worked!)

      I GET LUCID!

I float up above the crowd as an RC and start to think of what I should do with my lucidity. I remember that flying faster is an aim of mine and might count as advanced flying for the competition. I try a variety of swimming like manoeuvres to accelerate with limited success, I get a sensation of speed (wind in my face and the ground blurring) but I'm not covering ground any faster, so I don't think it counts. I try going higher instead to get the advanced flying goal. With a series of *whooshes* I rise up to about fifty metres, then maybe 500, then just below cloud level. I decide that's high enough to count and close my eyes to feel the sensation of flying . I'm a little nervous that this might destabilise the dream but that doesn't seem to happen.

I decide that while I'm up here I might as well try the"fall from a great height" dare and realise it combines well with the "gain invulnerability" goal. I allow myself to fall precipitously to the ground, feeling the wind rushing past me more and more urgently, falling with a splintering sound through a tree and hitting the ground with a damp thud. The tree feels uncomfortable but the ground seems to be quite soft, like really well hydrated soft soil.

I get up unharmed and opening my eyes (realising I probably should have fallen with my eyes open) to see a girl trying to fix a gate in front of her house, looking a little frustrated and despondent, like she's been trying for a while and is worried about the security of her house of she can't fix it. I think this night be a chance to get basic summoning by conjuring up a spare part to fix the gate, but it seems she just needs to tighten a bolt and doesn't have a spanner or the finger strength to so it by hand. I tighten the bolt for her (my left arm is uncooperative so I have to lean right in to do it - perhaps I'm sleeping on my arm?) Her mother is just arriving home and they're both grateful. I say they're welcome and mumble something about it not being perfect but it should do for now.

I look around at the street and think about what I should do next. I think of my three step task (supper strength, basic summoning, eat something) my plan is to flip cars over, then summon and eat a bar of chocolate (with the possibility that the chocolate might be magic and transform me into the incredible hulk)

I spot a car park across the road and fly over to it. It's night time now (it's been a sunny day so far) I land heavily on the bonnet of a car, denting it badly, jump onto another couple of cars, and then land on the ground next to another, which I kick. (I'm just enjoying being destructive with no consequences!)

I pick a smallish car (a Micra, perhaps?) And lift out onto its side - it leaves the ground slightly in the process. I'm not happy that the strength require is superhuman enough, so I do the same with a larger car. With the third car, I concentrate on being stronger, rather than lifting harder. I consider making the car light but that surely counts as cheating. I manage to get this one to land on its other side, having rotated 270 degrees.

I realise that I've been rolling cars in the downhill direction, so I decide to do one last car uphill. I spot a yellow skoda truck that appears to be something to do with fixing street lighting. I stand on the downhill side, grab the don't-drive-under-me rail, muster some imagination momentum, and manage to flip it onto its roof.

Satisfied that I've been suitably superhuman, I decide to move on to the summoning part but just then my alarm goes off and I realise this entire dream happened between my alarm and the first snooze -10 minutes!

      Lucid #3 (DILD,FA #2)
-I wake up under my sheets and do a nose plug. I can breathe! I get up to find myself in the family room of my grandma's house. I phase through the glass door into the backyard. I try to summon a dream guide but nobody shows up. All of a sudden, the gravity in the dream gives way and I start to fly. I decide I won't fight it and try to fly higher. I see some weird looking wooden ducks. I ask one how to transform into one. Next thing I know we're both back on the ground and the duck is talking to me in non-sensual gibberish. I wake up.

    10. Where did that came from? [01/08/14]

by , 08-01-2014 at 02:13 PM (My lucid comeback!)
Wow, my first Multi lucid night experiencing 2 real lucids and 1 very short. This also means WE ARCHIEVED THE GOAL OF THE MONTH!!!1!

Although we archieved it on paper I'm still not happy with the result, it was way to sporadic and random. I'd rather have the LDs spread out over the month instead of cramming it all in the first and last day of the month.

      1. Blurry night

I'm in my backyard looking up to the night sky which actually looked like the back of your eyelids, didn't saw many stars but I did see a small bright moon. It was very small and I think it was the new moon because of it's thin shape. I'm very disoriented and don't really know what I'm doing there at that time. Suddenly I'm somewhere at a public place with my mother, it's day and she's talking with someone about what I did last night. Apparently I acted like I was Harry Potter the night before and my mother saw all of it, needless to say it was quiet awkward.

      2. What goes up must come down.

I'm at some sport park with school and there's this enormous wooden construction, it's not wide or anything just very high. Using your imagination it looked like this 'ITI' with the I's being the two supports and the T being a rope between them going all the way up to the top. I climbed the rope slowly using the technique with your feet and pushing yourself up. Once I got on the top I waited for some time looking around but then I noticed the rope fell of and I was stuck up there. For some reason I knew the exact height which was 28 meters, then I remembered people could die from falls smaller than that. Someone walked past and I asked him to throw the rope up with a hook on the end. That happened in my imagination but in the dream itself the person only started shouting at me for being stupid. I think he was a teacher.

      3. A spark of hope.° (SEMI)

I wake up on the side of a street, it's in the middle of the night and I'm somewhere in an arabic looking city. It is extremely dark but once I sit up I think of doing an RC. I do the nose-plug and feel the air but don't completely become aware. I try standing up and walking noticing how quiet everything is before the dream fading away.

      4. Come on!* (DILD)

I wake up again in the same arabic city on the same spot at midnight again, I feel more aware and actually make an effort to stabilize. I crawl over the ground for a bit and notice I'm wearing a turban and some long clothing. It last slightly longer than previous dream but still isn't enough!

      5. I'm not giving up yet!* (DILD)

Once again I wake up in the same dream and I'm starting to feel angry cause I keep missing these opportunities. I manage to stabilize the dream to a point where I can stand up and actually inspect my surroundings. I'm near the entrance gate of the city but I'm completely alone and it's still extremely dark. I don't think of much to do and the dream ends quiet quickly.

      6. I'm the expert!

I'm at school outside and it's early in the morning, the first class is starting and the teacher decides to do it outside on some benches spread out of the terrain. I take seat at a bench with some other students in the back on a grass field and we get an interactive task. Each groups gets a large sheet of paper and on that they must write down some key-words of what they dream about. I quickly announce that I do this very often and I explain the concept of dream-signs to them. Although I tell them very clearly what it is they seem quiet close-minded and one girl looks at me like I'm talking gibberish.
Then suddenly I hear a student on another bench behinds us making a joke about the teacher, shortly after the teacher begins shouting and raging demanding the person who said it to stand up. I'm thinking something like "Why would this happen on the first day already?".

      7. The tour

I'm with school doing a tour throughout my home town and looking at historical sites. I'm in the back and suddenly some guy I know from draws a gun at me and shoots hitting a parked car infront of me. I instantly get down and another student thinks this is all funny, he start's shooting too. For some reason I also carry a gun so I get up and fire back but at the moment I pull the trigger the guy jumps away and I hit a friend that I know standing behind him in the chest. I'm like "Oh fuck!", the other guys laugh and one fires at me again at point blank range. I can barely dodge the bullet and it scratches my neck. Then I just walk away and join the group again which are waiting at a corner. I look around and see on two corners where IRL normally two banks would be located I now see two care centers for toddlers. One for those who sleep polyphasic and those who sleep monophasic. It actually says it above the doors of the two buildings.
The building I'm standing against which would normally IRL be a bar is now an empty building with a large open window on the front. It's very dusty so I can only see a bit inside but it's one room with a sky light and I think I also saw a saxophone standing against the wall. The guide tells about how some protestant group met up here to do there things. As I look better through the glass I see a large picture at the back wall, it a picture of a group of soldiers who fought in WW1.

    11. Fell asleep while meditating: Random dreams.

by , 08-01-2014 at 02:02 PM (Lucid Time!)
I accidentally shave off skin on my face.

I am at high school. I forgot to fill out some kind of review. For some reason this feels like a congruent dream where I am perpetually forgetting an assignment, but not recalling the dream.

I was walking across a path behind my neighborhood when I met a young blonde girl with a prosthetic arm who claimed to be psychic. She was able to tell me a lot about myself. I wondered why, and became partially lucid in realizing that you don't run into psychics on the street like this regularly. But slipped out of it a few moments later.
She then took me to see her brother who was on the second floor of one of the houses in my sub (One I've never been to in RL). Her brother was blonde as well, wheelchair bound and very overweight. He spoke through a computer, like Stephen Hawking. But his psychic energy was insanely strong. I could feel it in the room. We had a long discussion but I cannot recall what it was about.

I had a long discussion about the maneuver gear from Attack on Titan with S's brother. He was trying to argue that it did not distribute force evenly across the body and if it was used in real life, it would tear someone's arms off. I was trying to explain to him that the force was actually applied all over the body and that was the reason for all the straps and the jackets that they wear on the show. I then told him that it's an anime and that anything could happen.

    12. Competition Entry # 5

      by , 08-01-2014 at 01:58 PM
I'm very happy I did all the things, I announced in my last entry - and - it worked!! So that's two comp LDs, one the day after and this time directly the night after my hypno-session. Going by what that rather botched "research-experiment" was asking of us a while ago, I might do it every night now for the rest of the comp!
WBTB with a bit of haphazard WILD attempting lead to a DILD - my most successful method, actually. Just I sort of lost the belief it will actually lead me to a WILD one day...

LD #1: Again from being in a forest I had the impression, something wasn't properly real optically, without a dream-sign as such. This is rare. Gets more unusual - with lucidity I didn't only not lose optics or respective quality - nope - everything got brilliant, had a dreamy shine of beauty about it! Sweeet! So I enjoyed this on a clearing - birds swooping about and chirping, really beautiful! Nose pinch for reasons of counting it as RC, I knew it. Then to the three-stepper - hand through tree - no problem - went in, and a bit of smoke or something came out at the entry point - no heat, though, just some weird special effect. I didn't feel anything inside - as if it was hollow - and coming back out produced the feeling of breaking an elastic membrane. But the tree stayed intact - so I suppose that counts.
Next thing - telekinesis. There wasn't much there to do it on - and it wasn't easy, either. First I tried with a stone, but gave up and used a small heap of leafs instead. I wonder - but I guess it counts that I have made them fly up and swirl about in a spiral. Made me proud no end! Next time something heavier! In a way it's gravity/element manipulation as well, isn't it? I'll say it was telekinesis! Then I couldn't remember the last one (advanced flying) but got the right idea at least and went flying around a bit - but clumsily with my air-swimming.
Sounded different in my post in the comp. thread maybe - but I didn't think of fighting and conjuring DV members in the first place...

In a way - air-swimming is exactly the kind of comfy sight-seeing-friendly slow flight method I prefer through beautiful landscapes! Aiming at getting somewhere makes it instantaneous with the other stuff, often. Yupp - and lost lucidity, dreamt on normally.

Furthermore I got two dreams and two fragments - and I pray to a non-existing god to help me in that I will journal them later and not let laziness get the better of me, now I know, I could also leave it be. No I will do it - but it's so fantastic on the forum in the moment - so much to read and answer to and enjoy - could spend all day on here - got to find some time for living at the side!

Edit: worked, obviously, but not well. Next night with better dictates, and also in the morning - again lots of stuff lost due to suboptimal handling...

Dream #1: On my way to the place in Bavaria where I grew up for holidays. I'm driving, and it's winter, very beautiful scenery. And I come across a bridge, of which in the dream I was convinced, that I knew it, had been there before. Like a beacon about how I could get there, because I had lost my way. There was soo much more, and I have a load of beautiful, nostalgic nature pictures from it, but the main strain was really having troubles in getting there. But get there I did, and when I reached the lake and went out, somebody came towards me from over the frozen waters - a man, I had never seen before, and very friendly and inviting. Then the dream ended, I believe, I woke up from that. Most of it was being on the way...

Dream #2: Now this one I did completely forget, dictated at 6:18 am, I sleep in atm - and now listened to at 19:40 pm. I understand only about half of it - lots of scenic noises, like me blowing my nose - and lots of well recorded stuff, from an audio standpoint - but totally mumbled. Need to not try using English, when half asleep - doesn't work...
Seems I have been communicating with a Muslim per writing on the internet. I also read 'God Is Not Great' by the late Christopher Hitchens at the moment, surely inspired this, as well as my atheism thread. Anyways - seems I was on about, that claims about peacefulness and something I called, now cryptically to me, "going forward continuously". I proposed there would be jumps in it, but I have no idea which ones or what I meant in general. Communication went back and forth, though, and for a while - so this is a dream.

      Fragment #1:
I meet somebody in a forest, who makes sculpture from thin sheets of tree-trunks.

Fragment #2: At a concert, and somebody has trouble with somebody else - a shouting fight

    13. The Origami Parrot, and Saving a Friend From Her Cheating Husband

      by , 08-01-2014 at 12:17 PM (Krista's Dream Journal)
      Dream - Lucid

I was "remembering" a time when I was in high school, and I had a blue origami parrot. It very much so seemed real; it would move, though it would make no noise. I showed it to my friends. I was super happy having this paper bird. When I took it home, though, I could not find a place for him. He needed a cage, but I didn't have one. I'm not sure what happened to him.

I'm not sure where I was, it was a building in my town, but I wanted another origami parrot. I called up one of my friends, maybe Rachel, and asked her if she wanted to come with me to get one. I "remembered" I had gotten it at Animal City, a pet store here in town, though I wasn't 100% positive. Rachel was then with me, and I told her we were going to Animal City. We walked out of whatever building we were in, and Animal City was right next door. We walked inside.

We walked around inside Animal City. We saw what looked like a very large brown cat with flecks of different shades of brown playing on a cat tower (one of those carpeted towers cats use to climb/scratch/perch). Many people were around it. I figured it was the store's current mascot (IWL they always have some sort of mascot animal). I, being the cat lady that I am, went over to the cat. I was super excited to see the cat. The cat then turned around, and its face looked alien. I had no idea what kind of animal it was supposed to be, but it definitely wasn't a cat!

I then continued my search for the origami bird. I then came across a woman who had a small, green origami parrot. This is what I'd been looking for! The bird was perched on the lady's shoulder. I started to speak with her about the origami bird. She said something about it having poetry written underneath its wings. She unfolded one to reveal it. I did it myself as well, and had trouble getting the paper to fold back properly. I wondered if my old origami parrot had had poetry underneath its wings also.

I then saw that the bird only moved when the lady moved its tail. It was like an IWL origame swan; when you move its tail, the wings move. But she would do it very subtly to make it look like the bird was moving on its own. I did not remember doing this when I had my origami parrot. Maybe my memory was deceiving me. At any rate, the paper bird moving on its own was definitely an illusion. I wanted to believe that it wasn't, but it definitely was.

I don't remember if I got to have the bird or not.

      ~

I was with Dallas at my old friend Kacey's place. She lived in a different town, as she does IWL. We were watching her do some dance performance with a dance team. It was some interpretive type of dance. I saw people that I knew in high school also dancing with them, one being Mary Lane, but her hair was waaaaay longer than I had ever seen it IWL. I saw someone else too, a blonde girl, but I couldn't place her name. I called her something that started with an R. Kacey's husband, Rick, was somehow also involved with this dance.

When they finished, I talked to Kacey about Mary Lane being there. I also talked about the other girl, the blonde with the R name. Two girls, identical twins, then approached me. They had grey and pink in their hair. One I had mistaken for the blonde girl I knew in high school. I then realized I was wrong about the name of the blonde girl; I had no idea who these twins were.

Everyone but Kacey and her husband cleared out. We were all visiting in their living room. A boy, a child of about 5 or 6 who was supposed to be Kacey's son (she only has a daughter by marriage from Rick IWL, none of her own) came up to us. He seemed like a happy child. I saw him smile up at me with his teeth.

Then, where her son had been, was this big white bathtub full of milk and...dry cat food (I've dreamed of a bowl of cat food and milk once before, though I did not write it down). It was behind the couch. There was way more milk than cat food; I only saw some scattered pieces floating around. In the middle of the bathtub was a black and white kitten, who was drinking the milk and eating the cat food. She seemed super happy (what cat wouldn't be?). I then thought about how milk isn't good for cats, and how they would probably have to clean up cat diarrhea later.

I then woke up, but went back to sleep into the same dream.

The cat in the tub was now gone, and I was talking to Kacey in the living room. Dallas then came up to me, and told me he had heard Rick say he was going to cheat on Kacey! Kacey had not heard him tell me this; I think that Dallas whispered it to me, or Kacey was out of earshot. I really debated on whether or not I should tell Kacey, but she is one of my best friends, even though we barely talk anymore, and I owe this information to her; she deserves to know so she can decide what to do about it.

I then told Kacey about what I had heard. She was aware of the problem; he went and cheated on her all the time, and didn't think she knew. I then told her that if she wanted out, she always had a place with me. I would take her in for as long as she needed. She wasn't sure what to do, but I feel like I kind of pushed her to leave him. She finally agreed, and started throwing some of her things together. On my part, I felt that I may had been somewhat impulsive, but I would, of course, take her in no matter what she needed. I didn't want her to feel pushed though. But that feeling quickly faded, because I was finally going to get Kacey out of her horrible situation.

I then thought about her son, and whether or not she should take him. I couldn't remember for sure if the son was hers or Rick's. I guess I decided it didn't matter. I saw her get some things together, careful not to let Rick hear her, and we got into my car to drive to my place. I thought about us staying at my old apartment with Cherie', my old roommate, but realized that I had just turned my keys in (true IWL), so I couldn't just go in there anymore. So instead, I drove her to my parent's house. I had not told my parents prior to this that I was taking her in, but my mom loves her, so I figured it would be alright, and it was for a good cause as well. I did need to tell my mom, though. I went into the living room while Kacey stayed in the kitchen. I saw my mom wrapped up in a blanket, asleep on the couch. She was sick with a cold or something. I woke her to tell her about Kacey. I don't remember what she said. BUt I then figured out that my dad was cheating on my mom too. Wtf.

I then thought about how Rick knew where my house was, and so we should probably relocate, because he would absolutely suspect that we were here.

Back in the kitchen, I saw Kacey helping to fix up some dinner. As she poured frozen green beans into a pan with the entree', chicken probably, I thought that she looked like an expert the way she was putting the food together with confidence. It had something to do with the way she was pouring the veggies; she just looked like she knew what she was doing.

I then realized that we had left Dallas. Whoops. We had to go back and get him. We drove back, hoping Rick didn't notice our absence. We got there to get Dallas, and Rick had a backpack on. A guy friend was waiting for him with a backpack. It looked as if they were going camping. Rick had not even noticed we were gone. He said he'd be back in two days. I knew he was going to cheat on Kacey when he was gone. Further, if he cared for her at all, he would have noticed she disappeared without warning for awhile. His mind was obviously preoccupied.

At some point being back at Kacey's, I saw a bunch of sweat pants. I wondered if Kacey wanted to grab those to take with her.

When Rick was gone, Kacey and I went into town to investigate. We came across this building that had signs on the front window. It said "Cheat! Cheat! Cheat!". It was a lounge for men to go to to cheat on their wives (subtle advertisement, right?). I forgot what it was called. There were men going inside.

We then went into the lounge. Since it was daytime, not too many people were there yet, thank goodness. There were lots of big, circular and half-circle couches there. We went up to the counter, and two young men were there. We spoke with them, though I can't remember what it was about. They were acting like we didn't know where we were, trying to hide it and not doing a very good job at it; they were smiling and surpressing laughter as they spoke with us. They said something to us along the lines of there was no man that stayed faithful; all men cheated. When we decided we would leave, they said
"Thanks for visiting the ____lounge, I mean room." As if room made it sound less shady.

There were bits where Kacey and I talked about Rick cheating, and how she would approach him about running away from him. I don't remember if this was done in the dream or not. I don't think it was. During this whole dream, though, I felt very close to Kacey, closer than I have in years. I missed that, and still do IWL.

      Dream:

I'm driving on a dirt road in the mountains. I've got a car trailer connected, and there is another car driving behind me. We make a left turn onto a road that's in really bad shape, more like an old tractor path than a road. It's partly closed off with two large rocks, but we manage to squeeze the cars through. I get the feeling the road is on private property. After driving a while the road stops. There's a big solid rock/snow wall blocking it and we have to climb. I think my cousin A. is with me. We start running towards the wall, try to run up it as far as possible without sliding down. We get quite far up, but I can't hold on and start sliding down again. I try another time, and when I can't run any higher I dig my boots into the snow wall and start climbing. We eventually reach the top. I've got a feeling this is sort of a boot camp.

      Dream:

I'm at a cabin. Two guys are there, I don't know them. One guy is down on his knees washing the floor with a black and white checkered wash rag. There's a reason he's washing the floor, but I don't remember why. He's explaining something as he is washing, and I can see the floor getting wet when he mops the floor with the wash rag. The other guy is Morten Harket in AHA, apparently he has brought along some soap and shampoo, but he got the "wrong" type. He bought soap and shampoo for women. The first guy decides he will go get some other shampoo for M.H, because if he finds out he bought the wrong kind he will feel stupid and too feminin. I take a look in one of the drawers in the cabin. There's a lot of old stuff in there. Small bits and pieces of stuff and old packages of mints etc. There's an old bottle of nasal spray there, it has to be squeezed on the sides to make the bottle spray. I smile at how old it is. The packaging looks at least 20 years old.

      Fragment:

I'm outside a shop, there are big wooden boxes with lids on them. I lift the lid on one of them thinking "being a dream I could find anything inside one of these!" (Not sure if I was lucid or not, so I don't count this as a LD) Inside I found wooden planks.

      Fragment:

Something about a dirt road running along some green fields. I'm standing a bit higher up in the terrain looking down at it. My mother says something about geocaches?
