    1. Getting Stabbed

by , 07-15-2014 at 02:21 PM (My Lucid Dreams)
I've been getting a lot of low lucidity LDs lately, but this one had such awesome dream characters !

      Lucidity: 6/10
      Control: 5/10
      Vivacity: 6/10

After going to a "party" in a big house in the campaign, I find myself standing near a small river, lucid. The house looks a lot like the one I've been sleeping in the last few days, but with more trees and with ivy on the walls.
There's a woman in front of me, she was the one who held the party. She also looks a looks a lot like the enemy's chief in my lucid dream "Fighting, Again".
I do a little bit of telekinesis on a guy sleeping on the floor.

"I took away your powers," the woman says.

"You didn't. You can't," I answer with a teasing voice, "this is a dream, I can control everything in it. Plus, I just used my powers just a few seconds ago."

I try to use telekinesis on her, but she can barely even feel it.

"I took your powers away," she says again.

I take a few steps forward, but she grows long claws and digs them into my neck.

      Post Whore Culture.-3024787-x2-lady-deathstrike_480x270.jpg

Surprisingly, the pain isn't unbearable. She pulls the claws out and plants them back in, augmenting the pain a bit. I grab her arms but she grows claws on her toes as well, and she jumps to stab me in both shoulders.
      F*ck !
One of her associate grows the same claws on his fingers and stabs me repetitively in the side and in my stomach, ripping my flesh apart.
      I'm completely overwhelmed.
I'm trying to regain dream control, but it just doesn't work.
As my two enemies rip me apart, I see a man leaning out the house's window; he looks at me and shouts "You can do it! This is a dream, she didn't take your powers away, you still have them !"
When he says that I feel a huge boost of energy hit me, like he just freed me of a very strong hold.
I swing my hands to my sides, using a "burst of telekinesis" to violently throw the woman's ally and another guy (who just appeared there) away. I can feel the ground shake as I use telekinesis.
Then, I join both of my fists together and throw them in front of me; the woman shoots back, creating winds around her.
I look up at the window, the guys' smiling at me like "See ?"

      (...)

I lost my lucidity, the woman and the two guys who were fighting me are in the sewers, fighting a rock Golem. One of the guys uses water bending to try and choke the Golem but he can't transform the water into ice, the woman says it's because the water is too dirty.

    2. Fighting, again.

by , 06-27-2014 at 10:57 PM (My Lucid Dreams)
I still didn't get to accomplish any of my main goals, but this dream actually had a plot so I'm not frustrated this time
I have a shitty recall though

      Lucidity: 6.5/10
      Control: 6/10
      Vivacity: 6.5/10

I have absolutely no idea of how or when I became lucid, but I am in a post-apocalyptic world, near a kennel. There's a puppy in some bushes at my right. As soon as I notice him, the dogs start barking and I understand that they are zombies trying to eat the puppy. I take him in my arms and slowly walk out of the trees, as another dog follows me.

There's a group of people in the street. I walk up to them (the puppy disappeared) and we talk about the apocalypse (don't remember what exactly). We're in a middle class neighborhood, that you could find in a hot, wet and flat country.

At one point I notice a guy standing on the road (he's a French humorist IRL), he's looking at us with no expression, like one of the agents from The Matrix except with a shirt tucked in his pants.
My new companions and him run at each other and start fighting. He's pretty strong. I pull a shuriken out of my pocket, holding it in front of me.
      Holy sh*t ! This technique ! Finally !
I swing my arm towards the guy and throw the shuriken at him. I join my hands together and the weapon multiplies itself. I open and close my hands and they multiply once again. There probably is 30 copies of the shuriken now, but that's still not enough for what I want. So, I mold the spinning shurikens into a snake-like shape and move it around the guy, cutting the sh*t out of him. Then, I move it back in front of me and multiply the shurikens again to form a much bigger "ball" and I force it towards the guy: it engulfs him as I play with the shape of the ball. Then, just for fun, I swing my right arm to my right, and a "shuriken Chinese dragon" shoots out of the ball, into the neighborhood.

      (...)

I am with one of the guys from earlier, the enemie' s chief is standing right in front of us; she's a 35-ish years old woman wearing a tight, black suit. She runs at me and clones herself to attack me and my "friend" at the same time, throwing tons of punches and kicks... she is fast as hell. I barely have time to think about what I am doing and my telekinesis is not working, so I jump out of her range to think for a second.
Imma have to use sage mode... but I need some time.
I don't feel like I can clone myself with my current control, but someone appeared at my right (I think he's an old friend of mine IRL...).
"Can you keep her busy for a second ?" I ask, slapping his shoulder.
He nods and runs to help the guy from earlier.
I sit down like "well, let's get going then". Closing my eyes, thinking "sage mode, sage mode."
After about 4 seconds I stand up, and throw a shuriken at the woman as I jump back, and as the weapon is still spinning towards her I do a hand sign, duplicating the shuriken into about a hundred
... but as I said, my recall sucks.

      (...)

We're in a tower, and I'm fighting the girl from earlier in a hand on hand combat. A friend of mine helps me and we get her to fall off the huge drop in front of us. I look at "Morpheus" (our leader?) and when he nods at me, I do a few hands sign to send some water on the ceiling. Then, I do another hand sign and throw my right hand down, sending a super fast dragon of water down the drop, and inevitably onto our ennemy.
      Just making sure.

I think I had a false awakening somewhere around here.

    3. The Joker

      by , 06-26-2014 at 07:42 AM
      The Joker

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I´m in an old school i dont recognize. I go outside and see a street. The school is pretty dark and made out of dark bricks. I see a near roof and decide to climb up there. I use a rain gutter to get up there. As i explore the roof a narrator voice tells me the joker has arrived. I climb down and there are already a couple guys fighting him. I shoot a gun at him but miss. He then shoots at me and i lay down on the ground and play dead. I´m really scared but at the same time i kinda know that I´m safe. My family comes and thinks I´m dead but i explain my playing dead. I´m back on the roof circled by a group of bad guys with all kinds of weapons. I go right for the first one and punch him in the face. I take his RPG and begin firing at the other ones. Sadly nothing really happens and they only fly around in the air after getting hit. Apparently I´m also really bad at aiming with such a weapon . So when i realize i cant kil them i decide to talk to them. Turns out they´re not so bad after all. From time to time in the conversation i try to murder them by firing right infront of their feet but they just grin stupidly.
I climb down the pipe and go to the other group, nobody´s fighting anymore. I´m confused and look for the Joker. I find him standing next to us with a Joker mask on. I pull down his mask to reveal the same thing just for real now. I grab him from behind when he try´s to run, grab his head and attempt an epic neck snap but nothing really happens so i give up. The Joker seems dead now. Everything looks good now I´m pleased and i go talk to the remaining people who just started a mouth watering BBQ.

    4. Dem runescape flashbacks

      by , 06-24-2014 at 10:43 PM
I'm playing league as lee sin, and have set up my tent at toplane to shut down a ticked off vladimir. We repeatedly kill him, and he cusses up a storm in all chat every time I appear from the river. The dream shifts, and I'm playing runescape in the old wildy circa 2007, with ancients and a zammy book. I have diamond tipped rune bolts and a poisoned ddp in addition to sharks and other pots. I burst down a player in 5 hits, but as I'm collecting the loot get teleblocked. My inven button shifts to the music tab and I can't seem to find it as the mouse cursor won't follow my dream eyes. The pjer has an arma gs and takes me down before I can react. I then respawn in a small cell, with the pjer looking in on me, and crowing about he was the vlad from yesterday.
      *
I bump into one of my fellow soccer captains at the library, but he doesn't know me and he's HUGE (already tall in real life, but I barely reach his elbow in the dream). He pushes me back and the dream fades as we begin to fight.
      *
I have a 10 second lucid where I realize something is amiss and ask myself why? Almost reluctantly, as if the answer is obvious but I don't want to realize it, I respond and say "I'm dreaming." As comprehension dawns, I take control of my dream body and take a couple of steps forward, frantically searching for my hand so I can try and stabilize the dream. Unfortunately I get too excited, and the dream fades to black before I can get a glimpse of my surroundings. (So frustrating, I can get too excited and miss out on easy lucids just as often as I have opportunities for them, suggestions if anyone's reading?) I don't remember anything past this lucid snippet, so no way to reintroduce myself into the dream.
      *
I'm at my grandma's house and she's complaining about arthritis. I take her hand and she screams in a horrible voice.
      *
My dad has gotten cancer in a terminal stage, and there's much very real crying and emotion as we go together around a small plaza, saying goodbye to our friends and family
    5. "Friendly" Fight at Home

by , 06-23-2014 at 03:36 PM (My Lucid Dreams)
One thing that's really cool about this dream is that I can still feel some of it.

      Lucidity: 7/10
      Control: 6/10
      Vivacity: 8.5/10

I have a false awakening in my room. I check reality without really paying attention when I realize that I actually have too much fingers (don't remember how many). I rub my hands together as I walk out of my room. I decide to have fun with a girl. I rub my hands together, expecting a girl I know in the living room (everything is the same as in real life). I rub my hands together again.
Ok no more than a minute. Don't waste this whole lucid dream on sex.
I start with a kiss but I can clearly see that it's not going to be fun with her. I try to spawn another girl but my dog appears instead.
      Really? F*ck you, subconscious.
I grab the girl's boob and start walking away.
It's better to do something else anyway.

My mom walks out of her room, and I follow her into the kitchen. She doesn't seem to see me, so I shout "MOM!" a few times and poke her on the shoulder. She seems to only hear me a very little bit, so I go and write something on a paper (?).
My mom finds the paper and says something like "I can only see two Cs (Ds?) on there."
I'm starting to think that this could be an OBE (it's not, me and my mom are sleeping at my grandparent's), probably because every thing in the dream is the same as in real life.

I walk through the living room again, and into the backyard. I remember the failed "fun with girl" attempt earlier and decide to try again.
I try to materialize someone in front of me but it doesn't work. So, I turn around, imagine her behind me, and turn around again. There she is.
No. you know what? No. This is a dream, I should do something more special.
I look at a pool on my right.
      Waterbending.
I concentrate on the water, but the people inside it are making it harder. I try to do telekinesis on a guy who was sleeping on the ground, but my control sucks. I shout "more control !" and after reflection I add "more telekinesis !" (what about Sage Mode ?). Then I rip the ground under the sleeping guy and throw him in the pool by telekinesis.
His friends are upset, and one of the guys run at me. I throw him and another guy in the pool too, still using telekinesis.
Then, I walk closer to the guy I just threw, and I decide to combine waterbending and regular telekinesis together. I hold my left hand out, and close it. The water around him closes onto his lower body, and he gets shot upwards.
The guy lands onto the ground, and I nod at him. I get in the "Kamehameha position."
      "Ka..."
He smiles and gets in the same position as me, facing me.
      "Me..."
A ball of energy appears in my hands and in his.
      "Ha... me... HA !"
      ... We both miss
My Kamehameha goes too much to the right and his to the left. We both drop our hands down like "aww."
I have a false awakening, in which I was mimicking the kamehameha (lol).
I almost checked reality but I ended up being chased by a killer

    6. Fighting "another dreamer"

by , 06-20-2014 at 07:46 PM (My Lucid Dreams)
I was trying to chill down, you know, stop fighting in my lucid dreams... but damn can DCs be convincing !

      Lucidity: 6/10
      Control: 8/10
      Vivacity: 7/10

I'll skip most of the non-lucid part of the dream... basically, I was a video game "testeur" testing the "all new" Xbox one. I was to test a really cool game combining Attack on Titan and Resident Evil; it was even more awesome when realized that the Xbox one was actually a hovering platform with a few buttons on it.

I somehow become lucid in the streets of my hometown (I think). There are two guys in front of me. I think one of them was Lmrhone, a guy from open gym, an old friend of mine or my brother. I tell them that it's a dream and they answer something like "Oh, he found out. So what do you wanna do?". I answer that I want to fly (I haven't had a good, vivid flying session in ages).
I notice one on the left thinking about it for a second, but then he looks back at me and goes "No. I want to fight you."
I remember that I've had a lot of fighting LDs lately and I really don't feel like having another fight now.
"You're not real. You can't fight me if I don't want you to," I say.
"I AM REAL! AND IMMA BEAT YOU UP RIGHT NOW!"
... He's real? Mmm.. I guess I could give him a chance then.
The two guys transform into small Titans and so do I, and we start fighting. I remember sending a tronadoe kick in the angry dude's face and throwing them over my shoulder.
I transform back into my normal human size, and throw fireballs at the angry guy's face "DBZ style." Then, I switch to telekinesis to throw the other guy onto the wall at my right (they're still in Titan form). The angry guy tries to punch me but I use telekinesis to send him through the wall of a building about 20 meters away. He's not giving up, though. He crawls back up and tries to punch me again, but I grab his arm and throw him on the floor. The dream keeps going with four or five throws to the ground until
I have a false awakening and loose my lucidity.

    7. Fight to the death... against penguins

by , 06-14-2014 at 12:17 AM (My Lucid Dreams)
A lucid dream from 2 nights ago.
In my opinion I had the perfect amount of control over the dream: not god-like, but enough to do some awesome stuff.
Also before you read the dream, I just want to let you know that I'm not a murderous d*ckead IRL. I'm actually really loving and peaceful

      Lucidity: 7.5/10
      Control: 7/10
      Vivacity: 8/10

I'll skip the first part of the dream: it was just a normal day at school.
I'm walking back home from school in the streets of my hometown, back in France. I take a right on a narrow street when I realize that I forgot my bike. I find it on the corner of a street, attached to a pole. As I take my keys out and unlock my bike, I notice that the sun is especially big today; it's got these solar storm kinda things on it. There are also a bunch of shooting stars spelling my last name in the sky (lol).

      i remembered-619px-ultraviolet_sun.jpg

I check reality without really but it doesn't work. My mom is waiting for me at a door just at my left. I enter the small apartment in which my whole family is eating dinner on a small table. I look through the window, curious about what is going on in the sky. My mom looks worried about it and I understand that she thinks the sun' radiations might overwhelm the Earth's magnetic field and kill us all. As I think about this, a star explodes in a supernova way too close to the Earth.
I know that the explosion will eventually hit the Earth and I start getting seriously worried, until I Check reality a Second time.
      HOT DAMN THAT SCARED ME.
I take a few seconds to look at my hand a little more closely. Even though I only have four fingers, my hand still looks normal... weird.
I step outside rubbing my hands together and take a look at the sky again: I don't get many of these.
I look around for something to do, and fly up to a flat roof. I want to summon a beast.
I do the naruto hand signs, without really knowing who I want to summon. I slap my hand on the floor, and even though I can see the ink writings appear on the ground, no one appears.

      i remembered-summoning_technique.jpg

Assuming it's because I didn't know what I wanted, I take a few seconds to stabilize the dream even more. There's a forest at my left and the sun is back to normal; it's shining in front of me. I take a few steps on the roof and turn around. This time, I got a good Idea of who I want to summon: the Nine Tails from Naruto (... I've been reading a lot of manga with the current Florida weather).

      i remembered-kyuubi.jpg

I quickly do the hand signs and punch my right hand to the ground... The ink writings progress from under my hand to form a cool symbol on the ground. I start to doubt myself after two seconds, but then I get propelled upwards by a crazy force. When I get my balance back I find myself standing on the giant beast, my feet digging into its dark orange fur. I run a few meters on its back, and front flip off of it. As I find my self upside down, time slows down to let me admire the beast's humongous face. He's growling, his red eyes looking straight at me. I finish my flip with a 180 right before I hit the floor.
      Ok, now what?
I'm just standing here looking at this beast, I don't really know what to do with him. I decide to set him free and I jump off the roof onto the empty, narrow road. The place reminds me of where the cinema was at in my hometown.
I walk around a little bit, until I notice a video game inside a store's "display window".
A girl walks up to me and explains that she is the one who created the game.
The game's goals is to escape killer penguins by jumping into portals. I visualize the game, and when I snap out of it, I'm in a workshop, surrounded by these killer penguins. The ceiling is really high, and lots of penguins are standing on small cornices made out of the minecraft element "Iron".
The penguins rush at me from all sides.
I push my hands to my sides, using telekinesis to hold them back. I quickly release the tension in my arms and push again even harder, sending the first layer of penguins flying back. I notice that the ceiling is slowly moving down. It's a trap that the penguins set for me.
      F*cking hell.
I try to use telekinesis on the ceiling as well, but I have to retain it with my right fist (I hurt my wrist IRL and I can't bend it).
It's not enough. I have to use both of my arms to hold it, and even then the ceiling is still advancing down.
      I have an idea.
I push up with all my strength, sending the ceiling up a few centimeters. As the ceiling falls back down, I quickly do the hand signs from earlier, and slap my hand down on the ground, summoning the Titan form of Eren from Shingeki no Kyojin.

      i remembered-eren_titan.jpg

Somehow Eren gets rid of the ceiling (?), and I'm able to fly up in the air somewhat quickly. As I fly up, I raise my hands at the same height as my hips, my palms facing out. I use telekinesis to take down all the penguins on the cornices.

I land on on of the cornices. I look around and notice that there are some "coins" around me, forming different paths. I jump back down, collecting all the coins in the air like in a video game. When I land on the ground, all the penguins have disappeared, along with Eren.
There's a girl from one of my classes from school. I walk up to her and ask for any item. She pulls a piece of cake out of her bra (lol). I thank her and grab her boob, then walk away. The cake's got a brown crust but's its yellowish inside. I take my first bite. It's the first time I ever eat something in a dream... to be honest I was expecting a little more. I mean it tastes good but it could be much better.

I walk into another room, where there are lots of cutting machines and all that. It also appears to be a store. There are a few people walking around. I use telekinesis to push a few products onto the ground, triggering a guy's anger. I look at him for a second.
My fight from earlier made me feel real powerful.
For my defense, I was very lucid and knew nothing was real.
There's a guy in a weird plastic suit testing a machine. I hold my left hand to my side, palm up. I look at the guy in the suit and close my hand. His suit starts to condense rapidly, crushing the guy in it, who stops moving.
There's a cutting machine with a big blade attached to it (~1 meter in diameter). I use telekinesis to make the blade spin really fast, and then detach it from the machine.
The blade it levitating, I have small control over it. I clumsily move it toward a guy who's cutting wood, and the blade cuts straight through his arm. I can see that he's pretty horrified, and I decide to let him live. I move the blade to the left, but it's slowly hovering towards me. I bend backwards but the blade keeps moving and cuts deep inside my chest. I jerk my arms forwards and the blade shoots into a glass door and falls to the ground.
Surprisingly, I'm not feeling any pain. I am waking up though, and I am too slow to stabilize the dream.
      I wake up.

    8. Mystery Shopping and Filming a Movie with Real Superheroes and Harry Potter

      by , 06-11-2014 at 08:10 PM
01-28-2014 -- [As usual, first part is not as detailed as it should be.] First thing I can remember, I am out somewhere, discussing potential mystery shops down in the Palm Beach or Lauderdale area. I am talking to a male scheduler, but the type of shop has a strong feel of the recent Circle K shops, stuff where the pay has gone down or they have limited the number of shops or something like that. Something has gone on that has caused me to quit, and say I won't be working for that company any more, and this has ticked off the male scheduler a bit. But then it turns out one of the shops is right next to where we are having our discussion, and the closeness balances out whatever has me ticked off, so I try to un-quit, and say I won't mind doing that particular shop.

The guy says that particular shop is only doing a shop-by-mail shop, that month, but it turns out all I have to do is mail something to them, and remark on any response I get, and that is even simpler than the usual shop, and pays the same, so I am quite happy with it, and am trying to get to necessary envelope together. Problem is, as I am trying to get things together, I actually start to drop stuff, and as I do, Joe S. and his little sister show up, and start pranking me. I am carrying a bunch of sheet music for choir, and as I am picking up other stuff, Joe's sister has grabbed my sheet music and dropped it into a file, while Joe has grabbed some of my other stuff, and started moving it. I have already had the hassles I have been mentioning with the mystery shopping company, and I just don't have the patience for their games, so I make as if to stomp off.

Joe's sister gives up on teasing me, and starts pulling back out sheet music and handing it to me, but now I find myself with two or three copies of various songs, rather than just the one I need, and as I try to separate out the extras, I just start dropping more and more, and scrambling for it. Meanwhile, I also have four toothpicks I have to keep track of, and keep safe (possibly in connection to the by-mail shop) and they are scattering on the floor as well. As I keep trying to pick things up, the scene shifts a bit, and I am standing next to my car at a toll booth, right before where you pay the toll, the door open, still trying to pick up sheet music and toothpicks.

The problem is, there is another car approaching the toll booth coming the other way (doesn't make sense, but there it is), and he may plow right into me. So I pick the entire car up, and set it just off the road on the other side of the toll booth, and then hurry out of the way, myself, so I don't get run over by the car, then finally manage to finish picking up all my toothpicks and music. Problem is now that I don't want to get in trouble for not paying the required tolls, so I again pick up my car (which has an e-pass in it) and kind of swing it over the toll booth on a sort of swinging platform (like the ones in Sonic the Hedgehog that sometimes swing you over spikes or fire pits) so that it registers. Problem is, I don't stop quickly enough, so it swings over a second time, and registers again. I just hope that the toll organization will be smart enough to realize they should only charge me one of them ... meanwhile the car keeps swinging back and forth, so now I have to hope they will disregard two of the three tolls, and I get the car out of there as quickly as I can.

Then things shift again, and I find myself in Manhattan (or a cityscape that looks fairly like it) surrounded by skyscrapers. I find myself watching a movie being filmed by real superheroes. The Incredible Hulk and the Green Goblin are in the middle of a big fight, and Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man comes swinging into the middle of it, and I can hear the Hulk muttering and complaining about how it is a mistake to let Spider-Man get involved in all this, because he is so wild, and improvises so much. And sure enough, Spidey swings into the middle of things, coming around on a web at high velocity, and nails the Hulk with an incredible drop kick that sends him flying about a half a mile, outside the city, where he lands on his back, sliding through a field on the edge of a lake. He's the Hulk, so he's not really injured, but he now has a slightly painful case of something like road rash on his back, which he is muttering about as he climbs back to his feet and starts to leap back toward the fight scene.

But the scene is now changing again, and Tobey has been turning into Harry Potter (or perhaps Daniel Radcliffe) who is standing on what almost seems to be a float, along with Hermione/Emma Watson, who is feeling rather down. For some reason, I am standing there trying to tell her how very beautiful her character is, being as sincere about it as possible, to give her morale a boost. But they have to get back to filming. (Like the superheroes before, they are making a movie, but they actually have the powers of their characters, so it isn't technical movie magic being used to make the scenes.)

I am in a sort of an alleyway, out of the way of things, and some sort of late-teen black princess (dressed in a fairly fancy purple gown) is approaching the alleyway I am standing in to get out of the way herself, until her scene is ready to begin, and she sort of glares at me, so I back up further to give her more room to sit down. Harry Potter goes flying by on a broom mounted to the front of a magic carpet where all the camera equipment is mounted, filming over his shoulder as he flies, and he passes the mouth of the alley, then flies a sort of arc before heading past the alleyway again, heading the other direction. By this time the black princess has moved on to do whatever her part is, but there is a little black girl (probably ten or eleven) riding up on a bike, looking forward to watching her sister film her scene.

And somehow the little girl and I in our alleyway, get sort of sucked on to the flying carpet in Potter's wake, so now we're flying through the air behind him while the film company films these fabulously expensive scenes. They must be adding the sound separately, because the whole time Daniel is muttering and complaining about how there is a fabulous peanut-shaped blimp flying high up in the sky, but they didn't know it was going to be there, so they couldn't plan to include it in the filming, which bothers him, because he thinks it is neat. The problem is, all the sheet music that I had been trying to carry has now turned into large, flat (unassembled) cardboard boxes, and the wind rushing by as we fly along has pulled them out of my hands, and they have been sucked in front of the cameras and have ruined the scene. Daniel goes ballistic, and starts screaming at me for ruining the scene, and mentions now they will have to refilm it tomorrow, but I am not available tomorrow, and you know what? He's glad I'm not available tomorrow, because after ruining the scene, I don't deserve to be in it, so hah! I don't remember what I actually have to do tomorrow anyway, but I say I can reschedule if they want me to, and be there, but he tells me that I am not wanted. Rather depressing.

[Just interesting information ... though I have not read it in some fifteen or twenty years, there was a very early Spider-Man comic book that had Spider-Man and the Green Goblin filming a movie in a desert somewhere (Spider-Man thinking the Green Goblin was only an actor, and not realizing it was the real Goblin) when the Hulk stumbled into the middle of things for a huge fight.]

I was missing all of my fingers on both hands save for my thumb and index finger.

There is a war going on in outer space and I am watching it unfold. The war is over this tiny cube-shaped planet, no more than a few hundred meters across. The planet has a blue and grey marble texture and orbits another, much larger planet similar to mars. Various factions use spaceships to deploy ground units such as tanks and mechs onto the tiny planet to do battle.

I am in some valley or canyon feeling area, inside of some cartoon. There is a villainous snake with a mustache that I am fighting.I become lucid while fighting him and try to use some dream control but most of it seems to fail. Our battle seems to repeat over and over.

    10. The Giant Killer

      by , 04-25-2014 at 03:39 PM
Finally on the board for Task of the Year 2014!!

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #206: The Giant Killer

I sense a transition into the dream state, but just as it begins I hear our dogs start barking downstairs. Wife stirs in the bed next to me and I wonder how much of this is pure dream and how much of it might be sounds and sensations from waking life bleeding over.

I will myself to roll out of bed OBE-style and I decide to phase downstairs to see what the dogs are on about. I pass through walls and the floor like a ghost and I think to myself that “I’m spirit walking.”

I pass through one last set of walls and the geometry gets weird for a moment and I wonder if I’m losing this dream. I rake my fingers across the floor but I pass right through. Still, it seems to bring me back into the experience and there in front of me are our 2 dogs laying on the floor panting.

Their food and water bowls both lay empty and I figure that’s what they were making a fuss about. Even though I’m still floating like a ghost, I’m able to grab the water bowl and sling it across the room and it clangs realistically against the floor. I consider asking Wife the next morning if she heard any of this commotion.

I head out into the garage, walking like normal now. Rather than phase, for some reason I lift the garage door manually and walk out into the night. I move past the circular driveway to the grass, thinking of the Jack and the Beanstalk Task of the Year. I dig a quick hole and everything’s feeling very vivid now. I do a behind-the-back summon of a seed which feels very half-hearted but fortunately still does yield a tiny seed. I quickly cover it over with dirt.

For water I move my hands in a little sprinkling motion over the little mound and a few drops of “rain” fall. The plant immediately springs up through the ground and stretches skyward. It looks like a normal vine at first but as it continues up it looks more like a twisting rope bridge that goes all the way up into the clouds.

I grab the lower rung and start hauling myself up but I feel like I’m getting nowhere and won’t ever be able to tackle all that distance. I decide that the planks are being reeled in from above and are pulling me up toward the clouds. It works! In a couple of spots the planks twist and turn oddly as if they’re trying to throw me off, but I ignore this and before long I’m at the top! I float up over the edge into what looks like a restaurant that’s being prepared for a party.

Two women standing nearby appear to be in charge of the scurrying wait staff. One of the women, an attractive lady in her early 40s, looks up at me as I walk nearby. She has a streak of her short brown hair bleached almost white. My task is the defeat the giant that lives up here, so I ask, “Where’s the giant?” She points behind me and to my left.

When I turn, there’s a guy roughly 9-10 feet tall walking through the door of the restaurant. He’s mid-40s with dark hair and a thick, barrel-chested build. “So you’re the giant?” I ask leadingly.

“That’s right,” he says and immediately takes a swing at me. His punch catches me square in the face but I decide that it will have no effect. I wind up not feeling anything or even falling back and it kind of feels like cheating. I strike at the man, trying what I for some reason think is a “kidney punch” but actually hit him in the side of the gut. He winces a bit but doesn’t move much.

I follow this up with a kick to the body and the giant clutches at his chest. I feel like this is working but I become paranoid about losing the dream, so I leap up and grab onto the giant’s face. I try to do this thing where I burn him with my hands but it completely fails. The failure makes me kind of vicious and desperate, so I gouge at his left eye with my right thumb and then strike him on the neck with my forearm. He collapses hard to the ground and I go with him. As I’m picking myself up to see what’s next,
      the dream ends.
    11. WBTB - Lucid - How Do I Palm Blast and Box Cutter Fight

by , 03-28-2014 at 11:44 AM (Dream Dream Dream Dream Dream Dream)
woke up naturally after this dream and spent some time just lying in bed half-awake before remembering that oh snap I was lucid in this one whaaaat

      Lucid #5 Aw Yee
So it started out with me just doing my usual dream thing of picking out various items from a large department store, except this time I tried to leave without paying with everything in my shopping cart, and managed to walk outside (nighttime) before a friendly employee had to lay down the law for me. She said that if I were going to do that, there was a certain price limit I'd need to adhere to, so I had to put back some things and then I could take the rest and pay it back later. I realized that I didn't actually need a bunch of Christmas decorations (mostly it was a lot of that fake green tree stuff you can put everywhere, and a wreath) and decided that those would be the thing to put back.

As I was carrying an armful of fake green tree stuff back through the store, I passed the stuffed animal section, where a kid and his dad were having some sort of strange, stuffed-animal-related argument. I recognized that my dad and I had, in fact, had that same argument before (false memory) and was quite tempted to say as much to the kid on my second pass, now unburdened of weird fake green tree stuff. But I ultimately decided not to. Oh well.

I went back outside, where the employee was waiting with a receipt for the rest of my things. Taking and looking over the receipt, I was quite disappointed to realize that yes, I would still have to eventually pay for all this. Just not at that exact moment.

The next thing I remember is spontaneously becoming lucid simply because it felt like a dream. No reality check, no examining of my surroundings, not even an "aha" moment of "maybe this is actually a dream". My mindset simply swapped right on over to "lucid", so quickly and completely that all I remember is picking out "shooting a concussive blast from my palm" as my dream task of the moment and hopping right to it.

So then I spent a lot of time trying to figure out how to shoot a concussive blast from my palm, which was... hard to figure out...? (I'm currently tempted to say "difficult" or "impossible" but that's a bad idea.) The second floor of the department store had a wall of windows which I stood in front of, right arm out, palm forward, left arm gripping and stabilizing my right, and then there was a whole lot of "how do" (meanwhile, a store employee looked on in alarm). I imagined the blast shooting out. I tried to summon the energy from within my arm. I imagined that perhaps my right upper arm might glow, and it may have. I thought about the way I was positioning my arms, and how it felt. (One thing I DIDN'T try was a voice command.) I'm pretty sure I never actually succeeded, though one window did end up broken somehow, and I have a vague-yet-pleasant memory of flying through it to the rooftop of another building in the night. Yay <3 (sorry, store employee)

I also remember trying to stabilize the dream by rubbing my hands together. Like the realization that I was lucid, it felt spontaneous and seemed to come from nowhere. Normally my dream ideas are linked back to the DreamViews forums somehow, like "oh right, I should rub my hands together to stabilize *mental image of the dream views home page*," or something like that. But this time, again, the idea seemed to have no real source of generation. I just tried rubbing my hands together and paying attention to how it felt.

Then I made the mistake of putting my rubbing hands up by my ear to listen to the sound of it, which felt so distinctly real that I started to think I was in bed, starting to move around and wake myself up. At that point I
lost my conscious lucidity, though I think my state still qualified as low-level-lucidity. FAIL STABILIZATION. NICE TRY DAWG.

Oh and since it feeling real made me LESS lucid, my guess is that this sort of lucidity was the spontaneous kind that comes from the dream feeling like a dream. Things can be fuzzier in dreams, darker, and the whole dream can have a strong "dreamy" feel that can be picked up on. Which is what happened in this case, and I assume what happens to Tman and Flotsam.

ANYWAY. The last part of the dream was about some physical fight I had with my sister's boyfriend in order to protect my mom. Mom was, I believe, starting to get up there in years (and now had her own little granny apartment), and my sister's boyfriend N had decided to arm himself with sharp implements and barricade himself in the 1319 front office. I'm not sure how that counted as a threat to my mom. I think I saw him as a threat, and since he wasn't a threat to me (it being a dream, still), it translated into him being a threat to my mom, so I couldn't simply leave him alone. I sought him out, armed with sharp implements of my own, though I'm not sure which ones. I know for sure he had a box cutter, I suppose because memories involving pain are easier to remember. (THAT'S CALLED FORESHADOWING)

hhhehehehe so anyway I'm getting sweaty palms remembering this but let's see here.* There was some sort of room divider a short space away from the door, which forced me to go right. He was trying to take advantage of this somehow, I think by blocking my way into the open area of the room, and it became a struggle. This mainly consisted of me trying to stab/slice him, and him trying to stab/slice me (which was of much greater concern to me), and I ended up mostly on the defensive. There were a great deal of "too-close-for-comfort" moments. The only thing preventing the box cutter from box cutting me was my continuous and determined preventive efforts, so it was a largely bloodless struggle at first.

Then my determination finally failed, for a moment. We were locked up, both my implements blocked and me managing to block one of his, but the box cutter was free and I couldn't rally the mental strength to stop it from cutting into my left hand. I was simply mentally exhausted by all my previous efforts and how useless it felt. The pain was quite strong and highly unpleasant and all sorts of other descriptive adjectives, but I think on the whole it was a sort of relief to get it over with after a great deal of worry and anticipation. Which says a lot about my mindset in the dream at that point. Like it was a scripted event. Weird.

Anyway after that I pulled myself together and "defeated" him somehow, though not by severely injuring or killing him. I'm not sure what happened. But next thing we were simply talking, both still armed, and mom was in the room with us, almost as a sort of referee to keep us from fighting again, with her presence. At some point he admitted that his plan, had he been unable to find something sharp, had been to use an ultrafine point red sharpie and scribble madly on my skin, to try to give the impression (in the heat of the moment) that I was bleeding. Not the worst plan ever, I suppose. I said something like "Psychological warfare?" in response to this, and he was like yeah.

There was something else about a Metro train, potentially because those are rad. I don't remember anything else about it, though.

*not that this is a particularly "bad" or traumatizing memory. just quite intense I suppose. I don't know, I wouldn't call it bad.

      back to sleeeeep~

    12. Competition #17, Night 15/Final Night 3/22 +3/23 & 3/25 Quick Takes

      by , 03-26-2014 at 01:14 AM
These are some quick recaps, mainly for my records but anyone is welcome to read. LD on 3/22 was interesting in that it was in one of those late dreams where my awareness usually starts to dip again and it did feel like one of those dreams but I managed to become lucid. The next two LDs were interesting in that they both had to do with my path/orientation in the dream and that they were recognizable as dream scenarios (general dream signs). I attribute this to my awareness work where I retrace my steps during the day with a view from the outside of myself and then from within where I am self aware in a more recent tweak to my perspective that involves noticing something you don't normally notice like the way that you normally don't see your nose (it blends into your view but is visible if you look for it) and to my review of specific and general dream signs. I feel like there is a shift in the way that I am becoming lucid lately. I am hopeful that it is becoming more natural and/or that I am solidifying neural pathways to easier lucidity (neuroplasticity I am hoping). I guess we will see. It also seems like I am having more awareness in dreams where I don't quite become lucid. I am recognizing DC's of people I know or knew IWL that I never think about and perhaps were always there but just didn't have the awareness to make the connection?? I don't know.

      Quick Takes:

3/22 DILD: in an American style football game I played the first 3 downs in the quarterback position starting from the 20 yard line and there was a dirty play against me in the last down that made me realize that this was a dream and how I was just in bed trying to WILD. I thought it would be fun to throw off the helmet of the dirty player and start whacking him and did. After a number of whacks I am just laying on the playing field feeling tired and from there I faded back to bed. 123

3/23 DILD: I am looking for this woman I saw earlier and make my way outside and I notice that I lost my way and the path looks quite different from before and I am not progressing forward normally/~slow motion. I realize that I am dreaming and realize that I can just fly out of here but the dream still wants some control and I start flying backwards and just go with it and it allows me to start flying normally again up and away but then again the dream wants control and leaves me drifting towards space but I am not worried, I have been there and love it and it stops again and I end up on a very tall building. I think about jumping but I am wondering if that might send me into the void so I look at the building next to me and decide to do some Spiderman swings upwards and over to various buildings with what seems more like rope than web. I feel like a child again. I fly some more before what I assume was an FA. 124

3/25 DILD: I am on a porch talking to an old co-worker (N) and we see a group of guys go by and one of them looks like Tom Petty but then it is as if we just saw that on a tv screen or something and I ask something like "since when is Tom Petty on that show?" She said "Oh you didn't know" and I figured out we were talking about 2 different shows and the one she mentioned was a reality show involving fighting. I get the idea that the fighters in the show are coming for me and it is time to get out of there. Now no one is around and the area looks a little different like I don't know my way and all of this feels like a dream scenario, okay yes well I can just fly out of this confusion so I do and the flight serves as my RC. I fly down and around looking for the fighters planning on showing them a thing or two before either losing lucidity, waking up, maybe had an FA on this one as well. 125

    13. Competition #17, Night 2 & 5 Telekinetic Fighting, Cult Compound

      by , 03-13-2014 at 03:18 AM
      Night 5:
3/12/14* <snip long cool dream trying to find way out of cult compound with many interesting rooms and old instrumentation.> I make my way out of the compound through the exit I was originally trying to convince the team to use but we are all now separated. As I find my way outside onto a busy street I notice a guy in a blue jacket and I wonder if he is security for the compound. I decided I should not be obvious and continue my path it will go very near his path and as I get closer to him I hear him calling over the radio something like "the guy is over here." I notice more and more guys in blue jackets with some fake Chase Bank logo and I finally realize that this is a dream. I use telekinesis to throw the guy 20 or so yards. And as more come I sling them aside one by one with telekinesis. I notice that there are quite a few and they may make ground on me so I use telekinesis out in a circular wave pattern and blast them all outwards - about 15 or 20 of them! Awesome! I then think that I want to move on to my goals for the competition and I fly up above all of the mess and stop mid air maybe 200 feet up and start to recall my goals and consider which would make the most sense to do next and as I am thinking I feel myself fade back to bed. I lay still to try to re-enter the dream but it felt like I was at the end of REM and was awake for now so I rolled over and wrote in my dream journal.

      Night 2:
3/9* Excerpt for lucid part that came way late after 9+ hours in bed and getting over the hump of nothing but advanced dreamlets: I am driving through the neighborhood looking for her and I realize - wait a minute, this is not my old or new neighborhood but a dreamy mix of the two, I am dreaming. I am already driving and one of my top 10 lucids was flying in my car, so I pull back on the steering wheel like you would the yoke of airplane and I fly around a bit before everything turns dark and I end up in a very convincing false awakening that I don't catch! Ugh!
    14. The Titan Kind

by , 03-04-2014 at 04:07 AM (My Lucid Dreams)
      ... So I haven't posted there for a while.
I don't feel like writing but I still want to post a dream, so here's one that I already wrote on my computer long ago.
This is a little out-dated, and it is the beginning of a serie(ish) of lucid dreams that I got after it so when I look back I feel a little foolish.

Also, this is a DEILD from another interesting lucid in the same place.
After it, I DEILDed again - the Titans had taken over the world (or the general territory) and destroyed part of the city.

I DEILDed from a lucid dream in the same landscape.
I'm in that square piece of grass, surrounded by some greek-like "pillars" that are really just there for decoration.
I randomly try a cork out (flipping/twisting kick), remembering part of the right technique (foot placement). I fail twice, but make it the third time. *Would that be the same IRL?* (I can do it IRL now ). I try to recall some of the goals I had, and because I already procrastinated the "Epic Titan fight" in the dream before, I decide to go ahead and try that out.

      "Titans !!", I scream.

I'm trying to look freaked out, just like I did in the "Zombi break out" dream. It takes a bit more time than I expected, but eventually a huge, baby-like giant (about as tall as a big tree - 3 to 4 floors) runs out of the forest, followed by others Titans of slightly different height.
I decide to wait until they get to the city, and when they do, I fly to one of them, use the AoT maneuvreur gear to swing past his neck, and cut right through the nape of it (the neck ).
I get back on the ground and, fearing that I might not be able to fly as easily as I'd like, try to use the gear again.
Doesn't work. Well, whatever, I'll just use the traditional way.
I put my hands in front of me and push in the air, and I use telekinesis to fight the monsters. It does not work at all at first, but then I take the "control disk" (really gotta find a name for it someday) and it does the work better. Still, my control isn't as huge as what I could get it, but the guy is so massive, it would require a lot of control to throw him away.
I keep on fighting for about 15 minutes (mostly flying and maneuvreuring through the Titans), until I realize that a guy that should be dead isn't.

"Yeah you have to cut me twice", he says.

Sure, I could have used two swords, but for some weird reason I freak out, and after realizing that there is more like him, I get the heck away to the square of grass, where I feel the dream fading away.

    15. CL and the Beanstalk

      by , 02-26-2014 at 04:30 PM
Very close call on Task of the Year! I'll definitely have to go for this one again.

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

Lucid #188: CL and the Beanstalk

I WILD into a scene filled with fleeting hypnagogic imagery which quickly fades into the void. I start waving my dream-hands in a repetitive motion, waiting for a scene to form. Nothing happens right away, though, so I start licking my fingers for a while to see if that works.

Nothing’s shaping up yet, though, so I try seeing how far I can stick my tongue out. I can feel it extending outward from my mouth seemingly on and on, and after a few moments I can vaguely see it extending away from my face into the distance. Curious how large I can make it, I will the tongue to expand and it balloons out in a huge, rectangular shape as large as a room. After a couple of seconds, I can see that yes, it actually is a room…

Now I’m standing high up in an office building, looking out over a city skyline through enormous windows. It’s late afternoon. I enjoy the sight of the skyline for a moment, rubbing my hands together.

As I’m doing this, a helicopter rises into view from below my line of sight, turns itself directly toward me, and opens fire with dual-mounted miniguns.

The office windows shatter and I feel myself being pelted with glass and bullets. There’s no pain, but each impact feels like a definitive hit. I know that it’s a dream but I can’t stop myself from shying from the window, crouching down, and nearly cowering. I hold my hand out toward the helicopter then swipe it quickly to the right, flinging it away from the building and out of sight.

The wrecked office is filled with random debris now, and I make my way past it to stand at the edge of the now-empty window. I recall Task of the Year (find and plant some magic beans, climb the beanstalk, and defeat the giant at the top.) My immediate goal is to get back to ground level, so I instinctively point to a lower rooftop perhaps 7 or 8 stories down and will myself to float to it. It works and I’m pulled smoothly down.

Now I’m really enthused about this pointing thing, so I point at the street below, once again pulling myself down. I’m filled with confidence after this, so I just start knocking out Task of the Year steps as quickly as I can.

I need bare earth, so I scoop the roadway aside, leaving a bowl-shaped hollow for my seed. I close and then open my hand, expecting the seed to be there. It is! (Looks like a pine nut.) I stuff the seed in the hole, cover it over with dirt and pat it down. A stalk immediately starts growing out of the ground and I jump onto it as it goes by. The stalk’s growing fast and since I hitched a ride so early, the plant’s doing the climbing for me.

I streak past the nearby buildings and head into the clouds. Immediately a shirtless, ape-like giant with a long beard comes loping toward me, about 100 feet away. I’m preparing to do something violent and decisive to make absolutely certain that I nail Task of the Year, but excitement gets the best of me. The scene collapses
into a false awakening back in my bedroom.

I need to use the bathroom, so I get out of bed, head in there, and start peeing. My aim is terrible and I keep hitting the seat, the floor, the tank, everything but what I’m aiming at. This really frustrates me and I assume that I must be super tired.

Just then I notice a strange, robotic laundry machine sloshing water onto the floor. Its label indicates that it’s some kind of diaper-washing contraption. Our kids barely use any diapers these days so I wonder why we have it and why it’s here flooding our bathroom.

My 2-year-old son R walks into the room, followed soon after by a sleepy-looking Wife. Her hair is standing up in all kinds of crazy directions, including one nearly two-foot spike that’s going straight up. “Your hair is pretty awesome right now,” I tell her. She giggles and checks herself out in the mirror. We have a good laugh about this until
      the dream ends.
