    1. A little success with dream control/stabilization

      by , 10-01-2022 at 05:46 PM
Tried to turn on the light above my bed, but it wouldn’t turn on. Neither would the lamp on the stand next to my bed (which isn’t there any longer in waking life). This is a dreamsign, so I did a nose pinch RC, I think. Then I became lucid. I remembered to stabilize, as I had planned. I felt the back of the couch that I was laying on. The dream might have faded at this point, but I think I held on to awareness and things came back. I tried the light above my bed again, but it wouldn’t turn on. I might have lost lucidity but regained it at this point. I think I felt the couch again to stabilize, but I also licked the chest by the couch that acts as another night stand. I realize that sounds weird, but licking things seems to help stabilize dreams for me. I got up off of the couch. It was dark in my room, and the lamp wouldn’t turn on. I directed the dream to give me more light, using verbal commands. I was holding the lamp as I did this, and at first I got a flash of light from the lamp. I might have continued my demands a time or two, but at any rate the room lightened up.

I decided to go outside, and wondered if I should phase through a wall. I decided to try for the door, a little worried that I might lose the dream before I got there. I made it though, and opened it after saying something about the Dream Base being on the other side (hoping it would be there when I opened the door). However, when I opened the door I didn’t see the Dream Base, as far as I could tell. It wasn’t exactly my usual surroundings though – more trees, and more parklike than the urban area I live in. I then said something like “Dream Base on the right”, and turned to look. There was a large building there, looking kind of like it was made of light colored brick. It might have just been part of the college campus or the parking garage that is there in waking life though.

I then tried to fly, possibly to search for the Dream Base or to help stabilize the dream. I picked up some gravel so that I could feel it and help to anchor/stabilize the dream. I tried flying, but was having some difficulty getting off the ground. Jumping didn’t seem to help
...I think I lost the dream somewhere around here.

    2. Aimless Lucid Dream and other things

      by , 09-01-2022 at 04:49 PM
      Bug Infestation turned Lucid Dream
I was in the kitchen of my home, but it more closely resembled the kitchen of my Grandma's old house. I was by the dogfood container and I was going to feed my dog when I noticed a flat, round glass object on the ground that was completely covered in small bugs, it was either baby spiders or tiny brown ants. I jumped back and went to get bug spray, when I saw across the kitchen, through my open sliding glass door into my room was a lifted up carpet, and tons of baby spiders were crawling about, there were a few baby roaches and even a large grasshopper, too.
I've been having quite a few bug infestation dreams, so I actually made it a dreamsign, so while in awe of the sheer amount of bugs I immediately did a reality check by plugging my nose, and was pleasantly surprised when I still managed to breathe through my plugged nose. I used my lucidity to expel all of the bugs, and then there was a bit of a dream reset or something, I don't know, but I was suddenly on my bed in my room. My room, however, was stripped down to the bare essentials. There was my bed, but of a smaller size and rotated 90 degrees and now perpendicular to the wall with gray-blue covers, and in the corner across from it a small desk with my computer desktop, however where there were once three monitors there was now only one. Also rotated 90 degrees, now facing the wall. I began walking around my room in circles, the walls were a light gray and a soft light illuminated the room. Judging by my room primarily being lit by the light, I assume it was very early morning outside and the sun had not yet risen or completely risen. I was mainly focusing on trying to either add more detail to the setting or imagine a new one entirely, but since it's been a while since I lucid dreamed nothing really happened. I decided I would go flying around, so I flew around in an empty yet well lit void til I eventually lost lucidity.

      Invisible car dream
I was at my dad's old house, the one I grew up in. It was night time and I wanted to go out to get a bite to eat, but my car wasn't out there, so I was waiting for my sister or whoever had it to come back. It was night time and the street and part of the yard was well illuminated by a bright, orange street light. There was no porch light however so it was fairly dark, but my brother was on the porch playing online chess. Despite there being a monitor it was still pretty dark. He was in some kind of chess tournament. We talked but I don't remember any dialogue aside from him telling me that he used my car, but he left it in "invisible mode". He told me you could see the reflections of the car. I looked out to the street and I could vaguely make out the top of a large, box-like shape due to the streetlight reflecting off of moisture on it. Apparently my car was now a UPS truck. I can't recall anything else from that dream.

      Dad's New Dog
Once again I'm living with my dad at our old house. This time it's early morning. The sun is just rising, it's cool and humid out, and I can still feel the wetness from the dew on the grass. I walked around to the back of the house and saw my dad up on a ladder, and then an american bulldog with brown spots came running up to me. He was huffing heavily but mostly friendly. My dad said he got us a new dog. The dog kept following me very close behind and nudging me with his snout. I then walked back towards the front of the house and now it was completely different. Instead of grass, there was a cobblestone walkway. There was a bit of a roof overhang with pillars holding it up, and the house had an off-white, stone grainy texture and a red clay roof tiles. There was some woman with two kids that I "knew" and I was now worried that the dog might jump on them or even hurt them, so I kind of kept him back while they went inside the house.

      Dream Fragments
I remember being on the corner of my dad's old property once again, outside the fence on the dirt road. I was behind a few trees and I remember a truck coming down the road. It was beginning to rain. In fact, it was raining super hard. I think the guy in the truck told me I better try to get inside. I remember floating up to the top of the tree and I think I tried to fly to the inside of the house.

Another fragment had me inside of a house that I didn't recognize. It was pretty comfy though. Lit entirely by natural light from outside, it was a bit dim because of the rain. The furniture was a grayish color. There was a thin but long living room that connected to a dining room and kitchen with a bar. I think I was waiting for someone and I was home alone.

I was in my room waiting for my sister to get back. I think she was bringing chocolate milkshakes.

    3. No Outside

      by , 08-01-2022 at 11:56 PM
I was in a building with several families on it. They shared rooms with tapestries separating them for privacy. Nobody worked and everyone seemed pretty happy with their lifestyles, despite having never gone outside. Many generations were born into these communities. They were comfy and didn't have much in the way of crime (at least in the community I was investigating).

There were other buildings like this with other similar communities of families living in them. If residents wanted outside contact, they could get in touch with the other communities using computerized drones.

Sometimes people would transfer between communities, but it was a big deal to do this. That's what they assumed I came from, though nobody seemed interested in asking me anything about the details of my whereabouts. They were just friendly and interested in the new addition to the community. I was well-liked.

The computers and drones kept records, maintained society, and brought in supplies. They provided everything.
Nobody questioned the drones either. They simply regarded them as helpers and protection.

One of the hallways had no lights, so it would appear dark when you looked down the hallway.
I noticed a portal in the dark (it wasn't invisible, just an energy field I could feel). Going through it, I found that the portal led to another connected building identical to this one, but with different people in it.

I can't remember if it was just me that could use this portal, or if the residents knew about it.

There was also a door that led outside. I asked one of the residents about it. They expressed sharp disapproval and acted like I was crazy to even think about going outside, telling me there was nothing outside.

The drones will shoot you dead anyway, they told me.
Yet these drones were protecting them? From what?

I went outside when no one was looking.

Upon stepping through the door, I found myself standing in an empty parking garage.
There were drones patrolling the area. I turned into my dragon and went invisible so they wouldn't shoot.

There was a light coming from one of the car ramps leading down below. I already knew what it was before I saw it, but I went down to investigate anyway.

Sure enough, that's where the universe ended. Everything surrounding this building and the garage was a white void.

There really was nothing outside. Literally.

    4. Possible lucid dream with a discovery about stabilizing

      by , 05-20-2022 at 04:52 PM (Nef's dream journal)
It all started with me doing something that I knew I couldn't do in real life
or so the sense of limitlessness was the main hint for me

So when I came to, I tried my usual routine of trying to stabilize
I was at home ofc, and it didn't work, the dream started to fall apart, the usual "fog" started to take over
That's when it randomly came, Instead of tactile I focused on visuals, the colors and the detail around me
      And it all came back
and for the first time in my dream-life , I left my house
And it tried to fall apart 2 or 3 times until I got to the streets but I did the same again, and it worked
after that things got blurry for me for a minute or a half, and somehow I was at a meat factory that was supposedly in the next street
I met my old friend there, he was working there, and he was younger now, looked totally different than irl, more like when we were in high school
I was like "man , this is a dream ,this is not real, stop for a moment look at me, this is a dream", he was kinda suprised and a bit annoyed, as if I'm hallucinating or something
then we went out, I observed the streets , it was night, the sun was about to rise, but the stars were still shining bright, I looked at the cars passing by, it was kind of vivid.
That's when I woke up, after 4-5 minutes of time I bought with this trick, the fog now took over, and I felt that I have to wake up now.

note: potential discovery is that focusing on the visuals around you might stabilize dreams or bring it,and yourself back from the waking process
although I can't tell if that was a full dream or a very late morning hypnagogic session, it was over 10 am so I can't tell if it would work in a mid REM dream the same way
also somehow I just can't seem to find the ideal time to try lucid dreaming, in teh morning, whether I wake up at 4-5-6 am, I'm just always unable to go back to sleep if I dont completely let go of myself
    5. Low level Lucid

      Jamie

Just a dream where jamie is saying, " I'll always be there for you." Can't tell if she was telling me this or someone else... no context.

      lucid?

I was lucid in a strange room. There was a circular walkway with glass like windows. Decided to teleport through the windows. I pushed my hands on the glass until it flt wstery and i kind of pushed myself through. On he other side I ws walking down a road. Lots of Elk And Moose were in this area. Two blonde women I seemed to know were behind me.

    6. My successfull WILD attempt

      by , 05-16-2022 at 12:10 AM
      Hi, guys!

I've been out for some while, but I still practicing my lucid nap dreams[1] and had some little progress at the meanwhile.
And today I'm gonna tell you my best WILD attempt!

As a Sunday, I realized I could sleep more. So after I Woke up at the 9am to drink water, I got Back To Bed

My body was really relaxed and after about 10min I wasn't feeling my body anymore, but just my head. My mind was awake and I was not having any other hallucination.

I stayed in the position for more 10min to relax my mind, but I wasn't getting nowhere, so I moved without opening my eyes and slowly turned my belly down.

At this position I could feel my mind relax easily. My body was out again and suddenly I started hearing a typical noise that I hear always I start to feel asleep. It's like a TV out of signal and this noise start to get louder and louder then I just heard a plunger on my ears. This repeated for 3 times in about 5min. Just don't know what is this, but it was funny hehe.

Then, after the third plunger sound I was on my kitchen with a know Brazilian nun on my side. Her name is Coen nun, I'm leaving a video link from her at the bottom of this post[2]. She was guiding me on my dream and talking things like: "Calm down, you need to move slowly to not wake you up! Move only your legs first." And I moved just my legs up and down. I moved really slow because I could feel my body both on the kitchen standing and lying on my bed.

So I blinked and I was lying in my bed, but I realized I was still dreaming because I saw I was with a blurry vision. I was still hearing the nun talking to me to move slowly then I did it. I was with my belly down then I just moved up my left arm, then slowly my right arm. At this time I was confident to get out of bed really slow. Then I did it!

Now I'm sitting on my bed and looked out my window. I saw the green from the trees and it was really beautiful. Then my vision started to blurry very hard, but I forced I talked loudly that I wanted to continue in the dream and after some attempts I did it again and my vision was back again.

So I opened my window and just exited my room by it and started to climbing the wall like the spider man!

At this time I heard the sound of my door opening then I thought somebody was about to wake me up and I woke up myself.

When I woke up, my heart beating really fast I don't know why. I was feeling I was breathless, but it normalized soon.

      That's it!

    7. What's My Password?

      by , 03-31-2022 at 07:41 PM
A dream character approached me to borrow my phone (for eBay). As she logged in, I saw her use her own account instead of mine, which was less convenient. So I asked, “Why didn’t you use my account instead?"

She avoided eye contact and uttered a quiet “I don’t know."

So I asked her, “Don’t you know my password?”

She looked visibly shaken by this question and shook her head no vigorously.

"Go ahead and tell me. I think you know it. What’s my password?” I asked with confidence, curious about something.

Visibly shaken now, she read off my password. It was correct, except one or two letters off.
Soon after, she broke down and cried.

I tried to reassure her she did a good job, the guess was mostly correct, and asked her what was wrong.

She cried and told me it was horrifying to her that she was not her own person. It disturbed her that I was in her mind like that. Like a parasite, she said.

I sat down. “Nooo no no no. Look, you’re a part of me, that’s normal." I went on to explain (as I've done many times with other dream characters in the past—this comes up every now and then).
"We're part of a collective, the human race. We’re all just a part of something.” I said, explain it to her as best as I understood it.

She didn't take it well, though. Ran off in a panic.

I looked over at another woman who was standing by, having seen the whole thing.
“Those parts of my password she got wrong… She knew them, didn’t she?” I asked the quiet witness.
      She nodded.
I understood that the woman who had run away did purposely give part of the password incorrectly.
It scared her too much to speak the correct word.

I walked outside and eventually woke up.

    8. How to Create A Persistent Realm

      by , 03-31-2022 at 07:36 PM
      What is a PR?
PR stands for Persistent Realm and refers to recurring plots, narratives, places, characters, and other elements that "persist" from one dream to the next.

If you've heard of a recurring dream before, this is similar, except persistent realms may not have any psychological basis behind them (you can have a PR simply as a result of incubation/training/intention, rather than trauma or other psychological need for repeated experiences in dreams). There does not necessarily have to be a "reason" why persistent realms exist in your dreams, other than habit and intention.

With persistent realms, you can have positive and fun recurring themes and plots that build over time, so it's not necessarily the same exact events being replayed, but more like a movie that continues from one dream to the next, a second life, or a video game that you pause and continue the next time you go to bed.

If you're thinking "Wow! This sounds incredible! Is this why people want to have lucid dreams?" then you would be right! Many people want to lucid dream just for the purpose of having persistent realms. You can live any fictional story you desire. It is the ultimate form of virtual reality!

In persistent realms, it's common to see the same locations and dream characters repeatedly and eventually learn their names and backstories, just like you would get to know places and people in your life over time. You can frequent the same locations like a particular beach. You can wear the same time-traveling watch in multiple dreams. Characters can remember previous dreams they interacted with you in, and they may refer to your past experiences just like in your regular life. There can be advanced world-building and you can engage in increasingly complicated plot structures.

Persistent Realms can be as simple or elaborate as you want. You can create a whole world, cast of characters, and powers/devices, plots, and scenarios that you return to anytime you go to sleep! Ever wanted to go on an epic adventures with a genie? Journey to the center of the earth to look for treasure? Get abducted by aliens? Or have a dream family? You can do it all with PRs.

We spend a third of our lives dreaming, so we might as well be living it to the fullest extent!

      Lucidity and PRs
Lucid dreaming (knowing that it's a dream in the moment) is not required for persistent realms, even though many people prefer it. You can start developing a PR any time even if you don't know how to lucid dream. The only requirement is that you be able to have and remember your dreams.

Lucid dreaming is a great addition to persistent realms, though! It allows you to have greater control over your PR in the moment. You can do all sorts of amazing things with lucid dreaming such as pausing, rewinding, or fastforwarding through parts you want to skip.

Persistent realm elements can also trigger lucidity. If you know that a certain character only appears when you're dreaming, for example, you may become lucid from your own PR since it makes you realize the implications (that you must be dreaming).

Lucidity and persistent realms go hand-in-hand and often feed into each other naturally. If you have lucid dreams, you're more likely to naturally develop a persistent realm than someone who doesn't have lucid dreams. And vice versa if you have a persistent realm, you're more likely to develop "natural" lucidity than someone who doesn't have a persistent realm.

      How to Develop a PR
Developing a PR can be done either inside a dream or while you are awake, though I find it much easier and more effective to develop things while awake (before bed is a great time for this, though you can do it any time).

You can either develop a PR from scratch, or work off of existing dreams. I find that working off existing dreams works best, even if the PR goes off in a completely different direction. Using a previous dream to start out with is often the most powerful tool.

      Waking PR Development
You can develop your PR any time of day or night, but the best time to do it is night before bed (or when waking up in the middle of the night before going back to sleep).
To develop a PR from waking state, you should do two things: 1. Develop the idea and 2: connect it with your dreams.

Think back to any dream you want to start from. Say you met an interesting dream character a few nights ago (or even years ago) and want to expand on that old dream.

      1. Developing the Idea
You can start by developing a part of the dream, like a character. Decide on a name for the character—let's say Sara. Think about Sara's day-to-day life. Imagine what it's like to see Sara go about her day as she drives to the bank, goes to a store, works at the local coffee shop, and meets with her ex who she doesn't get along with. Imagine her stating her name to the bank teller, or greeting customers where she works. Think about what she wears, her name tag, all that stuff (it's best to go with whatever pops into your head first for anything you're not sure of).

By fleshing this character out in your mind, you create a life for her. When you dream about her, your mind will remember all of these connected features and events you set up for the character, and the dream will assume these to be facts of her backstory. Think of it like a computer and your mind is a database. You need to populate some data to give your mind something to process, start dreaming about (the dream can pick up wherever you leave off).

      2. Connect with Dreams
As you go through these ideas in your mind, connect them with previous dream elements you've had. Do you remember walking down a particular street in another dream you had one? Let this be the street Sara walks down. Did you ever see an unnamed man in your dreams? This could be her ex. Connect any and everything that makes the most "sense" to you, creating a web of ideas in your mind (this will strengthen your efforts to build a PR).

Connecting ideas you want with things you've already dreamed about will not only strengthen the concepts in your mind, it will trigger the elements to appear in your dreams. For example, the next time you walk down that street in your dreams, you might look over your shoulder and see Sara because she is now associated with that street in your mind. Or you might encounter her ex! Each mental pathway you connect between ideas, the easier to navigate them in your dreams.

Dream formation works with connects and associations between your thoughts, so creating this web around what you want to dream about will yield whatever results you want. The more everything connects and "makes" sense, the better!

      Prospective Memory
What we're working with here is called prospective memory. It's a is a powerful tool for actively plan your PRs and make specific elements recur. You can choose to see a specific dream character in your next dream, or revisit a location you've been before. Sure, you could do this on the fly in a lucid dream, but planning it ahead helps to ensure you will remember what you want to do and enhance your dream control (especially in the case of more complex goals).

You can even imagine yourself having a dream while you're awake, and this can become part of your PR lore. For example, if you imagine yourself going to a concert with Sara, the story you envisioned can become canon to your PR—the next time you dream about Sara, she will already know who you are and refer to that time you two went to that concert (when you were awake, but she won't know the difference—unless you want to get meta with your PRs).

      Dream Initiated PR Development
In-dream development of PRs can work too. You can do this with lucid dreaming simply by using dream control and engaging in whatever it is you want to do. If you repeat the same activities in multiple dreams, they will easily become habits that repeat naturally over time. The more you engage with something, the more it appears.

Keep in mind that you do not have to control everything. In fact, if you are trying to control every little detail about your PR, you may end up having tension in your dreams. Tension is the feeling of friction or pushback, which dreams manifest as lack of control—causing you to get stuck fighting with your dreams, rather than enjoying them.

Going with the flow of your dreams and letting them unfold over time instead is the best way to go. Your goal is to control things through incubation and natural association, rather than creating tension through force.

Going with the flow can also result in natural PR formation. The act of simply practicing dream recall, journaling, thinking about dreams, and increasing your awareness in dreams tends to result in more naturally recuring PR elements.

PRs also develop naturally from paying attention to particular elements in your dreams, or doing the same things until you form consistent habits/routines. The more you pay attention to certain things in dreams, the more likely they are to naturally recur. Use this to your benefit by focusing on the things you want, and putting less attention onto the things you don't want.

This also goes for PR-formation itself. If you hyperfocus on 'creating the perfect PR', it takes attention OFF of the contents of your dreams. This can result in more meta dreams and tension that prevents you from effectively controlling your dreams.

      PR Development Strengthening Tips
      - Connect what you want (your goal) with something you already have. Connecting scenery, characters, and other elements from can create a more cohesive structure that makes you more likely to revisit the PR.
For example, if you want to set up a persistent area where you can go eat chocolate cake, think back to a previous dream you had with any building in it. Now imagine that there's a bakery with cake in that building. Imagine walking inside and meeting the chef, who wants to give you unlimited free cake! There's never any lines, and everything you want is on the menu.
      - Connect elements that 'make sense' to you. This will strengthen dream plans into something believable that you will have an easier time dreaming about. For example, it makes more sense to find chocolate cake in a bakery than under the sea. So if your goal is to eat chocolate cake, take the path of least resistence and create a persistent bakery in a city or town, not underwater.
Disclaimer: You CAN create fanciful things like underwater bakeries! If that's your goal, it's absolutely doable. I just recommend, as a general rule, sticking with things that "make sense" unless you have a specific other goal in mind, simply because it's easier.
      - Associate a feeling. In addition to imagining your senses, you can also imagine the feelings in dreams to help form connections and create PRs based on those powerful emotional connections (which can have incredible influence over our dreams).
For example, a small town bakery might elicit a feeling of old-timey personalized cakes with homemade frosting and higher prices, as opposed to a city bakery where you might have a greater selection of decadent premade cakes at lower prices.
      - Take advantage of pre-existing consistency. It's okay to deviate from previous plans, but staying consistent helps strengthen your PR. Personally, I go into PRs with a "don't fix it if it aint broke" mindset. This gives the PR a much more consistent framework (80%+ of my PR formed naturally, and I don't change things unless there's a reason to change them).
      - Set intention! Intention to do something in the future is a brilliant tool when put towards dream planning. When you tell yourself x is going to happen, it is surprisingly effective at making x happen in dreams. Have you ever anticipated waking up early to do something you're exited about, and then found that you woke up naturally before your alarm? Even if you aren't a well practiced lucid dreamer, people have a natural sense of intention and follow-through that naturally transfers into dreams.
      - Use repetition. The more you think about dreams and develop your PR, the more likely you are to succeed. You can even do it during the day.
Note: repetition that is mindless and devoid of your thoughtful presence is not as helpful. If you are doing something like a mantra, make sure you're being mindful and not just repeating empty phrases.
      - Consider details. As you go through dreams in your head, include as much or as little details as you want. You don't have to think in great vivid detail for it to be effective, though you can if you enjoy doing so! Considering details can help reinforce your intention. Be aware that what you focus on now, is what your dream will likely focus on later.

      That's is for now. Enjoy!

      Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I change something that already happened?
A: Yes! Even if something already happened, you can change the past, present, and future of your PR. For example, if there was an FBI agent out looking for you in your PR, even if this has been going on for years, you can change it with logical plot twists. Maybe he was looking for someone who looked like you, and realizes the mistake in your next dream. Convince yourself of this new plot twist, form ideas around it, walk yourself through it, and it will occur.

Q: What if I create an ongoing nightmare?
A: The nice thing about dreams is that you have control over them. If there's something from a previous dream that you don't like, you can change it at any time whether during the dream itself or in the next dream. You're never forced to keep the same narrative going. Unlike waking life, persistent dream realms are your creation. You have complete control over it. YOU decide what continues, and what goes away.

Q: But I don't want to control everything?
A: Good point! I personally only plan about 10-20% of my PR. When you develop your PR either inside the dream or when awake, feel free to skip over/gloss over anything you don't want to control. You can set the stage for things as much or as little as you want. For example, you can plan to activate a portal to a magical realm without planning where it goes, and have the magical realm be a surprise.

Q: Why does planning PRs while awake sound like MILD?
Mwahaha! That's because it is. Planning PRs works similarly to MILD technique for lucid dreaming, but instead of becoming lucid, your goal is to trigger, engage, or modify your PR. Here's a guide for MILD that you can convert to your PR goals: https://skyfalldreams.net/guides/skyfalls-mild-guide/

Q: How do I start lucid dreaming?
A: Lucid dreaming is outside the scope of this guide. To get started, I recommend reading a recall guide:https://www.dreamviews.com/blogs/ner...l-guide-94405/
Then, pick a lucid dreaming methodsk like MILD or WILD and you'll be set!

Finally (without making any special effort) had a brief lucid episode. It was early in the morning and I was struggling to fall asleep again after a period of insomnia.
I was daydreaming with my eyes closed, which turned into real dreams. Don't remember what happened, but at some point I was lying down (as if in bed, sleeping) in the middle of a street. I looked to a crossroad with another street, which was blocked off. There was a guy wearing a "Heroes" (TV-show) T-shirt. I remembered looking at some behind the scenes pictures of that show earlier that day (this really happened), and I figured the odds of that happening + a guy wearing a shirt of a show from 16-12 years ago were astronomically low. I decided to do a nose pinch reality check, and it was negative! My vision was very dark, though. I felt like it was all very fragile and unstable and trying to get up would probably wake me up. I tried to detect my real hands but couldn't. As the seconds ticked by the stability reduced further to the point where I just decided to open my eyes and return to reality.

I have been trying to get back into lucid dreaming for a while now and I think it's starting to pay off because I had a profound and long lucid dream this morning. My favorite part is that my partner was in it with me the whole time because I summoned her early on.

I should note about my dream guide Juliana that she is also my tulpa now so we communicate nearly everyday. It has been wonderful! You can read more on how that happened here https://www.dreamviews.com/beyond-dr...ml#post2245163 Another thing is her appearance has refined a bit and she's not so tall. Just average height for a woman. Just mentioning that since I saw she was 6'2 in that potion dream with her.

For the last 3 months I have been dreaming of being in the virtual reality simulation the Oasis often. It comes from Ready Player One and it probably took over my dreams after I read Ready Player Two. Sometimes I even feel the headset on my head in otherwise normal dreams now. I enjoy these dreams and this is the best one yet.

      Oasis Master (DILD)

I am in a first person shooter. Some sniper in a war torn country. I don't remember how I got lucid since the dream was long. Not long after I do I reach my right hand back and pull to the front of me my partner so they can enjoy the adventure with me! We realize quickly that I am wearing some sort of robes. The Robes of Anarok! They give superuser rights to anyone wearing them! This is going to be fun!

I teleporte us to Sector One and we find ourselves in a sureal area. The landscape is a forest but there are people everywhere wearing the most random avatars. One person is a twitch streamer doing some sort of event with a large entourage of psychedelic fans. We don't want to stay long here because it feels really quite scary but for some reason it gives me an idea. The way the simulation knows what is going to happen is coded into quests that the player characters sort of bring around with them. Maybe with some smart thinking we can speed run a quest and I know just the one to try.

I teleport us to third age Middle Earth and we find ourselves in a cave with Gandalf, Bilbo, and the Dwarves. I throw out a drone to record us and I ask Gandalf about Sauron. Gandalf begins telling the story while I begin weaving a spell with the Robes of Anarok.
I wish I could remember more of how it worked it was very detailed in my memory until moments after I woke up.

After finishing the spell Sauron is defeated and the ring destroyed. My partner and I hear a special fanfare for beating both The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings quests! I see an invite to meet with the creator of the game pop up with a teleport attached.

We take the teleport and find ourselves in a mansion. There is a marble staircase above us and a balcony with a pool nearby. The creator of the game looks like, and has the same warmth as, Robin Williams. He is congratulating us on casting such a high level spell. My girlfriend is talking more as I get distracted and wander outside.

I get a second burst of lucidity and start to fly away but then I feel I don't have much time left. I fly back to my girlfriend and held her hand for the short while we have left with Robin Williams.

When I woke up and the ideas from the magic spell were still fresh I felt euphoric. The Robes gave me a confedence in my magic that I have never felt before. I will have to talk to Juliana about it. My next goal is to summon her again because though we can communicate while I'm awake she has a lot more room to be herself in dreams.

    11. Looking for the Dream Base (Lucid!)

      by , 01-19-2022 at 03:10 PM
      01/19/22

I woke up around 5:00 with some indigestion. I had hoped to go back to sleep, but the indigestion kept me awake for around 45 minutes to an hour. During this time I looked at some memes and read the Bible.

Looking for the Dream Base Library

I think I might be getting better at WILDing, because I don't know if I ever lost my awareness from being awake. I think, maybe (vague memory) what I have been doing is imagining myself doing a nose pinch RC, and at some point find myself doing one. Anyway, at some point I find myself aware, and possibly do a nose pinch RC. I'm dreaming, or close to it anyway. I sit up in my "dream body", continuing to do a nose pinch RC now and then. I make my way to the front door so I can get outside and do something. I find that I don't have to worry about unlocking the door, I can just open it. I walk outside. At first I think to myself that I should try to go to Synthos again, but then I remember that I had a different plan. It seems to be a bit difficult to remember at first, but then I recall the Task of the Year, to build the Dream Base!

I had decided to work on the library. But how am I going to find it? I'm in a city. I think I just start walking with the idea in my mind of the Dream Base library. I might repeat "Dream Base library" to myself as I do so. At some point I begin to lose the dream (things go black anyway). I wait it out for a few moments, and the dream returns with me standing with my face against some obstruction hanging down from above. Someone is talking to me about how we aren't allowed to stand there staring at historic buildings (which is what I look like I'm doing, I guess). I continue my search.

I think I go into a building looking for the Dream Base library. It is some kind of a store. There are a lot of interesting things there, but it isn't the library. There is a small staircase to my left. I walk up this thinking maybe it will take me there. It seems to me it just ends after a couple of steps. I find a mirror, and think maybe I can use that as a portal. But I just keep seeing my reflection in it. Then I try to envision a portal below me and try to jump through it. Nope. I think about spinning, but I'm a bit worried I'll lose the dream if I do that. I find a blank space on the wall next to me, and try to imagine the Dream Base. Then I imagine that there is a door to my left that will lead me there.

I look to my left, and there is indeed a door. It's not quite like I imagined, but it's a door anyway. Behind it is a closet. Still not the library! Oh well, the door was supposedly going to take me to the Dream Base, so I look in the closet. There are two people with me now, possibly my nieces. We start rummaging around in all the things in the closet. Someone mentions that maybe we shouldn't mess with someone else's things, but I (or someone else) point out that it's my dream so it's all my stuff (it seems like I or they mentioned me in the third person - "All Sam's stuff").

I push some things aside, and just find a wall. There are some protrusions on the wall, like something was nailed there. I find a squarish one, and pretend that it is a button that will activate something (maybe an elevator?) to take us to the Dream Base library. It gives a little, acting like a button, and then the shelves that I have been searching start to detach from the wall. The shelves and floor that we have been standing on detach from their surroundings, and become part of a hidden elevator suspended in a somewhat darkened shaft.

The elevator can be controlled by cords that are hanging down next to us. We start descending, and somehow are aware that we are going deep into the Earth (I think), on the scale of miles (or possibly "years"). Somehow I increase the speed, and now it's possibly on the scale of hundreds of miles. Also, I lose the cord, and for a moment we don't have control of the elevator. But I think I will it to come back, or somehow get ahold of it (or a new one). I stop the elevator and wrap the cord around some sculpture-like thing next to us...

Here the dream recall is a little fuzzy, or else the dream itself skipped or something. We're on the elevator platform, and someone who has joined us is trying to get back on. There is a gap between where he is standing and where we are, and it seems that in order for him to cross this gap successfully there is a specific sequence of actions that we have to do. This involves him doing something, and me pushing on a protrusion in the sculpture next to me. It takes a couple of tries to get it right. But finally he's back on board, and we are reascending the elevator.

Here is the somewhat frustrating part - I seem to think at this point that I found the library. I thought I had in the dream, but now that I'm awake I don't remember it! But in the dream, I think to myself that I could just wake up now having succeeded in my mission. Instead though, I think it would be nice to go back to where I started, because there are people waiting for us there (or something like that) and it would be fun to return and tell them what happened. We ride the elevator upwards, and the kids turn around to see the scenery below us as we go up. There seem to be animals (monkeys?) off to the sides that are throwing things at us. We reach the top of the shaft, or at least the level of the closet. I think it would be interesting to see if the elevator would keep going up, but I get off at the closet.

I'm trying to get back to my starting point. I have an idea of which direction it is, and find that I can just force my way through doors and walls to head there. I don't quite recall what happened at this point...

      Grocery Store Lucid

This might be part of the Dream Base dream, but I don't exactly remember.I'm in a grocery store now, lucid I guess. Someone is making an announcement about the lucid store, I don't remember exactly what it was. One difference between the dream store and waking stores is that the food is all in plastic bags instead of other packaging. Some other things happened, which may or may not have been lucid. At some point my mother was pointing out that it was "fish season", and I could get some catfish if I wanted. I had eaten too much fish earlier though, and fish didn't sound that good to me...Some time after this, I'm discussing this dream store with someone else. One thing I like about it is that I can eat all I want and never get filled up, since it's all dream food!
    12. Nap Lucid

      by , 01-19-2022 at 02:55 AM
I took a nap this evening starting around 5:30-6:00 and just woke up a few minutes ago (around 8:00). I seem to have been having a decent amount of dreams, which I will try to recall here. I had been more or less successful in catching myself either having FAs or entering dreams. I think at least one of this developed into a decent lucid dream.

      Making Food

There is someone that keeps asking me for things. I'm going to make her a sandwich. I have some awareness that this is a dream, or else I only have an idea that some of the food is dream food. Anyway, I decide I'm going to give my friend dream food, since it's not real anyway. I also duplicate a sandwich using dream control (lucid or not). I try to make another one appear, but seem to be having difficulty. I possibly close my eyes in the process, and then think that I shouldn't have done that.

      Mystery

Either as a false awakening or a true awakening, I find myself laying facedown on the couch. But am I awake? I notice that there is something on my back. It feels like a person, but as I explore this I find that it is an automobile. I'm laying under the back of this automobile, which has gone off of the road and wrecked. Both of the people in the car are dead. I don't remember what happened, but it looks like the car swerved off of the road and hit me, possibly dragging me for a few feet. I'm worried that I caused the accident somehow, by being a distraction or something.

This seems to develop further into a more complex plot. There are other characters. I'm taking pictures of the scene so that I can try to piece together what happened on my own. The police are there too, doing an actual investigation. My phone battery is wearing out, and I'm having trouble getting decent pictures. I think to myself that I might be able to get "crime" scene photos from the police later.

I photograph some tracks I see on the ground/snow. Somehow I get involved with other characters. A late-middle-aged couple are there. They go off together somewhere. I am later sent to look for them. I have a wet wash cloth for the woman. I find her later, and it seems that her husband has died...

      Awake or Not?

My friend M- is calling me. We're talking through a video chat I think, but I suspect that I'm not really awake. To test it, I get a harmonica from a table and bring it back to the couch with me. My thought is to see if it's still there when I wake up later. I also blow a few notes, and my friend (who lives in Africa) mentions something about it sounding like "American music".

      Arabian Nights

...Some bad guys (and maybe a woman). They have me captured. It has an Arabian Nights kind of feel to it. At one point I think they are forcing me to pull them in a chariot? I'm trying to talk to them about something - maybe complimenting the eyes of the woman?

They want something from me. Also, they used to be my friends. The sad thing is, I would have given them what they wanted anyway. There was some unfortunate events that happened that made them try to hurt me instead.

But now they're standing at the top of a set of stairs. This is an opportunity for me, so I push them down the stairs together. It seems that by the time they reach the bottom they are just toys, and about the size of large action figures.

I go down to the bottom of the steps. My mother is there. I feel a bit silly about playing with toys at my age. I pick them up, and set one (which is like a robotic Genghis Kahn or something) on top of the bookcase next to us. My Mom asks if these are driven by an internal spring or by something like "the room behind the chimney at the top of the stairs". I ask her to repeat this a couple of times, because I don't understand what she's saying. Finally I get the idea that she means a room in my grandparents' old house that we used as an attic. In the dream, there is some kind of clockwork mechanism that could be used to drive a clockwork toy like the robot thing I have. I laugh at this, because obviously if I had plugged it in there, then there would have to be a cord attached to the toy I have downstairs!

      My Friend (Lucid)

During this nap, I kept dreaming that I was waking up. I have been expecting a package to be delivered, and wanted to check outside the door to see if it had been. So at least once or twice I found myself getting up, only for it to be a dream. This time I find myself getting up. It's kind of that fuzzy half dreamlike feeling where I'm not sure if I'm dreaming or just "daydreaming". I do a couple of nose pinch RC's, I think. I also try to engage with my surroundings.

I reach to the stand by my couch and pick up a mug. It's so dark I can barely see, but I can feel it. I pick the mug up by the rim, and take a drink. I think it's tea. I think this helps me anchor into the dream a bit, even though I worry that tilting my head back to take a drink will cause me to close my eyes which can be detrimental sometimes. I then look at a picture above the electric fireplace that shows some family members, and am able to recognize some individuals. I think I might do another nose pinch, and after waiting a moment or two find that I am able to breathe a little (this doesn't always work right away for some reason).

I decide to do a bit of flying, partly to help anchor the dream I think. I'm inside, but I try to fly up through the ceiling like I did at least once before. Not having a lot of success this time, so I decide to go outside. I'm a bit concerned that I might lose the dream or lucidity in the meantime, so I do another nose pinch RC. Things seem to be going OK. I go outside and try to fly. I will myself to levitate, and kind of narrate to myself something like "I go up and up". I rise up to the level of the roof of the house. There I see C., one of my colleague/friends (she stopped by in the lab to see me during waking life today). She is standing there, and I join her. She says something to me about not having been to the lab for real yet. I get the idea that it hasn't ever been the "real" C. that has been to the lab, and her true self is yet to show up.

In waking life, I find this girl to be attractive, but due to a difference in a deeply held conviction it seems unlikely that she and I could ever have a romantic relationship. I reflect on how it's kind of nice to be hanging out with her in a way where this wouldn't necessarily be a problem. Somewhere around here I either wake up or have another FA.

      Parking Garage

I’m leaving the University (I think) and walking into a parking garage. I can hear someone behind me, and act as though he might be chasing me (he probably isn’t). I try to lose him by taking a set of stairs to my right. I jump down these stairs pretty quickly. I think I hear another person behind me too.

      Fragments

Maybe part of the parking garage dream – maybe it’s how that one started? I’m walking somewhere. I see another person approaching me across a walkway...

...Something about being in my grandmother's old house. People walk through one door of the sunroom and out the other sometimes during the night...

    13. Lucid Magic.

by , 12-29-2021 at 07:19 AM (MoSh's DJ: The Best Dream Journal in The Universe.)
      Bad spells

I was on this giant hill. with Harry and Hermione from the HP series. The hills had giant magic slides or something we were supposed to go down. I was sliding down one and everything was moving super fast. This made me lucid randomly. I was too caught up in the dream to do anything else. Some guy was at the bottom of the slide and we were also near a town. The guy was bad or something so i pulled out my wand and said, "Avada Kedavra!". Hermione Gasped at that. Nothing came out of the wand. I tried, "cruccio." and saw the guy writhing in pain. I did some other spell so he wouldn't follow me. Next I was in some tavern and some other guy was trying to fight me. So i did Cruccio on him as well. Then i remembered doing Obliviate to keep the person from attacking me.

      Torture

I was trapped in some house with 2 other people. Some old granny lady had us all tied up and drugged. She kept indicating she was going to kill us. i looked to my right and there were dead bodies on the ground. Don't remember much after.

    14. The Girl on the hill and the Corpse

      by , 11-10-2021 at 04:51 AM (Orion's Dream Journal)
I was lost and alone in a forest . It was quite dark and in the night . I saw someone calling out to me . it was a girl , standing on a hill . I don't remember her face but I remember that she had a ponytail . She was older by me but not by much . We approached her house and it was like a small wooden cottage . She introduced me to her Grandfather . He said something about not being able to connect with his wife . The girl elaborated and said that her phone is dead . I took her phone and fixed it , apparantely it had "problems with a grasshopper" as I described it in my dream . She was overjoyed and thanked me multiple times . I felt a strong sense of friendship towards her . The last time I felt something like this was an year ago when I felt a sense of Sibling love for a Dream character .

We talked a lot about other stuff that I can't remember but it involved schools and teachers . I kept guard on her 2 yo brother when he was sleeping alone in a room then her grandpa told me to check out the other house on the hill . The other house was in ruins . I went inside and it was dark , I saw a corpse of a man who was dead . I checked his phone and there were details about his death . he got murdered a few years ago . It was really suspicious to me that his corpse was still there like he was sleeping . The noticed the feeling , brought my hand to my nose to pinch it and took a breath . it came right through , I knew i was dreaming . i wanted to interact with the girl when I was Lucid and probably ask her name . I was in hurry and basically touched everything as I made my way back to outside . the dream was getting blurry . in frustation I started digging into the ground and eating mud , soil and grass . It tasted meh , The grass was sweet , the soil had no taste at all . The dream stabilized , Just as I stood up it fizzled out of control and ended .

I woke up in bed and tried to DEILD back but nothing happened . i felt progressively increasing vibrations . I checked my phone and it had a weird phont and had 2% battery . I felt the feeling again , did an RC and got Lucid , I tried to wake up and felt but it felt as if I was glued to the bed . I mustered all my strength and woke up and my physical body moved too , leading me to finally wake .

    15. (24th October) - 5 DEILD Chains and The Demons of the Mirror World

      by , 10-28-2021 at 04:03 PM (Orion's Dream Journal)
I performed my usual routine . woke up after 3.5 hours of falling sleep , studied chemistry for 45 minutes , did Reality checks , read dreams and did some visualisation , relaxed by a breathing technique and performed 3 SSILD cycles in the next 15 minutes and then fell asleep while focusing on an anchor .

though WILD didn't work outright and fell asleep , I had a false awakening in what seemed like minutes after performing the techniques and I just knew I was lucid . I walked out and it was nighttime . I went outside to see a great sunrise , one of the better ones I have seen in dreams . I went out of my house and started walking trying to find something of interest , suddenly a cop attacked me out of nowhere and the dream ended in panick . I felt the bed and was calm , I let images form in my head and one of them turned into another dream .

I was in another room of my house and saw my parents leaving , I knew I was dreaming but did an RC anyway . I wanted to try something and tried to phase through the wall . I got stuck in middle and It was a bit uncomfortable , though I did it with a push but just as I did the dream faded , I was so preoccupied with the wall that I forgot to take the anchor out of my pocket
. I woke up but tried to imagine a garden without moving . I saw a soft toy lying around and just as I touched it the visualisation became a full fledged dream .

It was a wedding garden , I saw a lot of people and lets say.... dream characters aren't my strong suite . My dreams end quickly when I am near them and they are always up to some whacky non sense . I started walking and they started following me , I willed them to stop and go the other way but it didn't work . I wasn't really concerned so I just kept running , I focused on the feeling of my legs on the ground and it was rough but it helped maintain my Lucidity . I was panting actually and it felt good . It was quite dark and I thought I had lost them but no they were just behind me , the shock of seeing them made me fizzle out of Lucidity .

I woke up again but I waited for images in my head to arise and they did . I was sitting at my study stable in the dream and then I saw a group of tiny birds above , a white one fell on my lap , then I saw a black one which didn't have an eye or a beak but just a black "shape" for a beak . I felt something was off and knew it was dream but confirmed it by nose pinch . I went to the mirror and the birds from earlier just disappeared without a trace .

frustated from my previous dream , I wanted a place without dream characters . I had planned it beforehand and it was based on a cartoon called Doraemon I watched as a child . Basically he had a mirror , if you enter the mirror you will find a mirrored version of the world without any humans or animals . basically a sandbox . I tried doing this with my mirror . I tried to go through it , I pushed harder and found myself melting into it . I was on other side and It was like a mirrored version of my room ..... the only catch was that I saw my uncle there and he didn't look normal . He had a HUGE WIDE smile on his face but it looked as if it was "compressed" by his chin and by god his chin was pointed and really slim , he had no lips and it made him look terryfying . Then I saw my father and mother like that too , They advanced towards me . I normally don't feel strong emotions in my dreams so I wasn't scared a bit ( though it certainly was offputting ) but I didn't want the dream to end so I walked through the mirror again and then I just fizzled out of Lucidity .

Today I had another LD and I went through the mirror again , they were still there . Seems like I have made some subconscious expectation that I will always find the entities when i enter the mirrors in my dreams and I really like this to be honest . Its so cool to have some consistency and persistence in a completely random dream world
