    1. Cereal Soup and Hallucinations

      To anyone who actually reads my entries, sorry I haven't posted anything for a few days.

      It was morning, and I was standing against the walls of a pretty casual-looking restaurant. The flooring was light gray, and the walls were smooth light-colored logs like a cabin would have. The room was around the size of a McDonald's, and it had cafeteria-style rectangular tables that were light wood with steel legs; the chairs had the same look. On one side of the room was a wide glass door that opened to the outside of the building, but you couldn't see through it. It was clear, but there was nothing discernible on the other side. On the opposite side, there was a counter with illegible menus, but there was no one working there.

      There were people scattered around the different tables; some were standing while some were sitting with hamburgers and other "comfort foods".

      I walked over to a table and sat down in one of two chairs. There was a white plastic cup with some sort of soft drink in it; the cup itself looked like a Big Gulp container except without the label. I picked it up and took a sip through a thick, transparent straw, and it tasted like cola.

      A server came, in ordinary clothing, a few moments after I drank some of the drink. It was a younger woman with shoulder-length brown hair. She placed a lime green, plastic bowl in front of me. It looked like something a child would eat food out of. Inside was a cream-colored sauce and cereal that looked like Lucky Charms. I knew at once that it was some sort of Disney Princess cereal, but I didn't touch it, as when I scooped some of it up with a metal spoon, it was a gloppy consistency, like oatmeal.

      I walked back over to where I was standing before and looked out a window. It was one of those small rectangular windows that some houses have in their bathroom. I stood on my tiptoes and looked out. I saw a small metallic-skinned dragon in the grass, which went for a few inches away from the window and then stopped at the brick wall of another building. I couldn't see much out the window but I did see the wall, grass, and dragon.

      The dragon suddenly disappeared into thin air. I looked away, slightly confused, and then looked back into the window. It was there again, but it was flashing rather quickly - it was visible, then it was invisible. I didn't know what was going on; I thought I was hallucinating.

    2. She's Too Young!, You Wanna Throw Down?

      She's Too Young!

      I'm somewhere at a beach or river... a body of water. I'm in the water with my clothes on. I get out and there are two cars full of people who in my dream I know but I have never seen them in real life. I walk up to someone at one car and ask for a towel...

      scene change... I'm walking through the front door of the house of someone from the cars. There are two young girls living there. One walks from one room to another wearing only a towel and flashes me! I follow her because she winks at me. I go into her room and realize that I'm in sort of a dorm room. There are posters on the walls, but what catches my eye is a big display of tacky tourist magnets from tons of different cities and states. One in particular is from Myrtle Beach and looks like a key chain that I have. Something happens in my brain that makes me realize that if this girl has this magnet, she must be twelve or thirteen years younger than me... making her sixteen or seventeen years old.

      I ask her where the magnets all came from and she covers my mouth with her hand. I kiss the palm of her hand and then wake up. I really wanted to know where this was going, so I tried to go back to sleep, and sort of ended up in the same place, but can't remember what happened.

      You Wanna Throw Down?


      I am running through a dark alley and I run into a couple of friends. I ask where they're headed and they say the name of a girl, which I can't remember, but they say not her house, but the bar that's named after her. I run off...

      I jump down a flight of stairs to a restaurant and almost knock down some girls coming out of the bathroom. They get shitty with me and follow me back into the bathroom. One goes into a stall and I kick the stall door open and see her sitting on the toilet giving me the biggest "boo" face I've ever seen! She was so sad that I opened the door on her! Then her friend got shitty with me again, and I said, "You wanna take this outside and throw down??" Instead of going outside, I wake up and go to the bathroom.

    3. Stuck in China & My Old School

      I had two abstract dreams yesterday.

      Stuck in China:

      The streets are very dirty, and very crowded with people walking through. I had no money with me at all. I walk around for awhile and find a restaurant on a street corner. For some reason I go in and order the most expensive thing on the menu. After eating it, I had no way of paying for it. I spent the rest of the dream running around attempting to find a way to pay for the food. More towards the end of the dream, I saw an open door with a sign that I couldn't read, so for some reason, I went inside. There was this rather large ginger lady that said she was the owner of the shop. She also said it was a tattoo parlor and that her name was Britney Spears!

      My Old School:

      I was at my old school for some reason, and it was the last day of school there. My logic in the dream was that I was there to say Hi to all of my old friends that I have not seen in a long time. So, after school lets out kids are running out of the school rejoicing that it was the last day. I saw a lot of my friends that I haven't seen in years, I called there name and they didn't even look at me, like they didn't recognize me, or couldn't hear me. Then some kid tried to steal my Zune out of my pocket, and when I looked over he vanished. It was a strange dream, I kept trying to talk to people but no one seemed to be able to hear me, or see me. I was ignored by everyone, WTF!?

      My recall is getting better, I remembered lots of details about these two dreams, very long, very detailed.
    4. Choose Your Ride

      I was on a school field trip with my classmates. We were inside a modern building with white walls; a few of the corners were softened and curved. I don't remember what the flooring was like, but there were a large potted plant and a stand-up menu to the right of the small room. Next to this, there was a purple awning that led to another part of the building, which looked like a restaurant.

      There was a short hallway, a few feet long, in front of our group of around ten people. It opened up into a larger room with five polished wooden pillars; four students started to walk in front of their own pillar and position themselves in front of it. No one else seemed to want to go; they were all standing there, so I took the last pillar. All five of us were now standing in front of one pillar each, which I now realized were labeled with a small sign framed in metal.

      My classmate in front of the pillar beside me laughed, almost in pity. "Oh, Puffin, you got the pain section."

      "Great," I replied, rolling my eyes and exhaling in a gust. I knew that this was a ride, and nothing would really happen to me, but I was still nervous. I knew you could personalize your ride by choosing "pain", "wisdom", "heat", and two others which I forget.

      Suddenly, the room changed. I was on a circular, three- or four- foot thick wooden platform in a darkened room, seated in a chair with a seat belt on. I looked to the left and could see the four people who were with me before, and they were also in a chair. The ride started and it began to tilt backwards; at the same time it went downhill on some sort of track. Above me, there were circular saws, but they were slightly thicker than they should have been, and not shiny.

      The ride lunged back upwards and my knees hit the saws as they turned. I expected pain but realized that the saws were rubber. I looked to the left and above the student beside me, there were flamethrowers (how is that not dangerous?). I didn't look to see what else there was.

      The dream changed again, and now I was in a small banquet hall with brown walls, white trim, and long tables with white tablecloths. My classmates were still there, and they were signing cheques at the various tables. I saw my teacher and I went to her. She had a cheque lying on the table for $22,000.

      "You still owe me two thousand," she told me. But I replied that I didn't have any more cheques on me, and that I had to get some more.

      dream lucid talking about the dream, but not part of the dream story

      First dream of last night -

      My family and I were at Denny's and I was showing off a couple of Apps for my iPod. I showed one about food to my Mom, who was supremely skinny. She said the sushi looked good and pulled a pair of chopsticks out of somewhere and reached into the picture and pulled out some of the sushi. I realized this wasn't possible and thought "Oh my god, I'm dreaming!" The ensuing excitement woke me up.

      Second dream of last night -

      first it started up a third person p.o.v and I was looking at song lyrics for a new Rasputina cd. They talked about this house, it was haunted and bad things had happened there. Then it was like I was watching videos of the stuff that had happened. there were a lot of turtles involved. and breaking lightbulbs.

      A couple of other people and myself went to the place. When we got there we were told a bit about stuff that had happened.

      In the dream I was a character I role-play. Some others and myself - four including me - went to the creepy house. We walked around first - it seemed like a hotel of sorts. Then I spotted a light flickering on and off like a signal. We went and found a secret passageway with cramped stairs going up, and we came to a place that looked like a jungle. There were wooden walkways and we followed them. To our right was a wide river and a walkway leading up to it and to the front of us was another river. We went to the river in front of us.

      In the middle of the river was a big light that gave off heat, at one point making water shoot up into the air. I didn't want to go in at first, but one of the boys in our group went into the water and said it was fine, so we all went in, myself last.

      I was looking around and there were these glass display cabinets with runes in them. They had the English translation of them, and at one point they told my (character's) beginning/ horrible thing that happened that made them the way they are. I turned to the other girl in the group and said to her "You want to know about me? Here." and waded away, annoyed.

      There were now shelves on either side of the river holding beads and clay. I didn't really touch them but other people did. I saw a miniature clay loom and piano. We were starting to see more people, and it turned into a supermarket type setting, but there was still water around my legs. I got separated from my group and started looking for them. I saw a little girl, also lost, and for some reason it really made me sad, seeing this lone little girl. At this same time I heard "Playboy Mommy" by Tori Amos play over the speaker in the grocery store.

      At that point I woke up because my Mom was calling me. I still had "Playboy Mommy" playing in my head.

      Part of this is understandable - I can even pick out stuff that happened from the day before. My Grandparents took me to Denny's for dinner, I listened to 'Playboy Mommy' the day before, and of course I was looking at iPod apps. Some I'm not sure.

      Christmas night sucked. I was at my parents' house. I woke up at five in the morning to the sound of what I thought was a burglar breaking into the house with a drill, but no, it was only my dad grinding coffee beans.

      I dreamed that I was working at a restaurant. I was like four hours early, but they still let me work. I was just kind of sitting at a table waiting for something to do and then I get up and decide to get people's drink orders. I waited on this one real nice older lady and decided to sit and chat with her. Then I had to get up because I think my boss was looking for me and I didn't want to get into trouble. When I came back, her daughter was sitting down to have lunch with her. She was not bad looking. Yeah, I found her attractive. So, I sat back down in between both of them. (It was a round table, not like a booth.) I could feel the daughter playing footsie with me under the table!! I opened my menu and I could hear the mom whispering to the daughter about how nice I was and that she should ask me to go out and I remember thinking, wow, what would Andrea think?!?

    7. Young girl in cavern

      Shit kinda sucks when dream recollection fades as you go to type your dream out.

      There's one thing that I can remember and that is this young girl. Her name was .... eurgh I can't remember and this is annoying me, because I asked for her name specifically so that I could perhaps meet her again when she was older. I recall that she did something pretty extraordinary.
      She was wearing a horizontally striped long-sleeved cotton shirt.

      We were in some sort of restaurant I think. Bt it was like the restaurant was in a large cavern. The tables were scattered throughout and it was lit by torch flames. (Perhaps I am just making this up, and this wasn't really part of my dream, but it's all I can think of at the moment).

      There was another part of the cavern and over there was Philippines or something. I can't remember anymore >.<

      Busing to Restaurant:
      Me and my mom are on what appears to be a bus. I decide to take off my black jacket and there is no place to put it. We ended up getting off and cross the street as the hand is flashing and the counter is decreasing starting at 11. I start counting down with it just to be annoying, lol. We get to some store where I take off my jacket. I was able to put it in what appears to be a garbage bin but was stopped by someone who took it from me and placed it in the right bin. It seems that this guy has already helped me out earlier that day with this specific bin issue.

      Thoughts: Odd all together but meh I'm not complaining

      I was in a restaurant with my sister and my grandmother. There was a cheesy, oldfashioned clock at the wall, that my grandmother got as a present. The clock played some calm, classic song all the time.
      I watched a genteelly waiter that went from table to table to ask the guests if they need something.
      Suddenly a rectangular hole appeared in the wall and I saw more tables and guest through the hole. The waiter walked unimpressed through the hole and asked the people on the other side of the wall, if they need something.
      I started asking myself, why there appeared this hole in all of a sudden and why nobody else recognized it.

      Then I woke up.
    10. Mzzkc's Mind Games

      Two LDs last night. The first lasted a few seconds and turned into a FA in which I got lucid again and had a small bit of fun before the dream ended in another FA which I did not get lucid off of.

      Will put up entries for the second LD and yesterday's in a couple minutes. Hang tight.

      Also, that makes 9 LDs this week so far. I'm on track for breaking my record for most LDs in a week. Okay, maybe not. It's going to be hard to get 9 more in 5 days. x.X

      FA. I have to pee. I get up and make my way through the kitchen of the restaurant I'm in, toward the bathroom. I enter the large restroom and go into a stall. Hmm, something is off. I try to RC, but it's not working quite right. I look at the mirror in front of me and think, If this is a dream, when I close the stall door, and open it again, there will be someone right behind me. I close the stall door. And open it again.

      Well would you look at that. A man is now standing right outside my stall. I close the stall door again. And raise my hand to head level. I create a spark of electricity that dances between my fingers. Yep, definitely a dream. I ready my blue lightning. Electricity courses down my arm as my right hand becomes envoloped by furiously dancing bolts. I slam open the door behind me and unleash a torrent of electricity into the man standing outside my stall. He convulses painfully, his eyes growing huge as his body pulsates and glows. His life was ending.

      I put right hand on his shoulder and pushed him down, stopping the current's flow. As he lay there, dead on the floor, he looked a lot like someone I knew, or, maybe, used to know. I couldn't quite place the face. Interesting, I thought, but he really could be anybody. Even me. At that I started to morph his face, creating for him different personas, until I finally had it rest upon one similar to my own.

      *BANG BANG BANG* My suitemate's father knocked on my door. They were going to go see a new idiotic movie and I was going to come along. I was not dressed, but I needed to go out into the common room. I tried to wrap my sheet around me as I got out of bed.

      *BANG* My suitemate slammed the bathroom door shut. Stupid FAs. . .

      Dreamed something about a restaurant... something about houses in a suburban area, it was a nice area... something about being a con artist, trying to talk people into buying a restaurant... and we were eating chocolate bars with forks and knives. That's all that I remember.

      Had a creepy dream a few days ago:
      Dreamed that someone was standing outside my room, in the dark, and would whisper "Bubble! Come here." I would wake up and look around and go back to sleep, and it would happen again. It happened 3 times before I finally yelled at them to shut up. It didn't happen again.
    12. Rocket Lighthouse

      Morning of January 7, 2003. Tuesday.



      My wife Zsuzsanna and I are in an unfamiliar restaurant, seemingly in early afternoon, and near a large window (about a restaurant table away in distance, as other people are at tables closer to the window as such), from about two feet from the floor to about two feet from the ceiling, with a wide view of the ocean, rocky shore, and a red lighthouse. I eventually get the impression that we are also in a lighthouse, though that is not very logical (as only one lighthouse is needed in a region), and our view via the window is at ground level.

      Over time, my father (April 26, 1901-February 14, 1979) is seen in silhouette in the distance only. (My dream self has no recollection of his death, as is often the case in my non-lucid dreams.) He looks as if he is doing something with an air hose, bending down somewhat (in profile oriented to the right) towards something on or near the ground). I am aware that he may be involved in the maintenance of these buildings.

      The lighthouse turns out to be (or rather, turns into) a rocket. It lifts off slowly, without incident. The beauty of the ocean also holds my attention and I “remember” we are near Cape Kennedy, though that was its name from 1963 to 1973, and is actually now known again as Cape Canaveral.

      I have some doubts though, about remaining in the restaurant. There is some movement as if of a mild “earthquake”. It seems we are lifting off, yet the view from the window remains of the rocky shore with no hint that we are rising as it seems other than a mild physical awareness of such. Perhaps we are not actually in a rocket and the vibrations are from another rocket that is not presently seen.



      Most relevant key terms:

      • Water induction as dream state initiation; water symbolizing sleep and its status (most common induction form, virtually every day for over fifty years in at least one dream of a twenty-four hour period).
      • Exit flight waking symbolism (similar to return flight waking system but probably not as common, though basically meaning the same thing; RAS symbolism and inner ear dynamics in the waking transition).
      • My wife Zsuzsanna in romantic scenario.
      • Father alive without recollection he had died.
      • Vibration as symbolic of growing awareness of my real physical body upon slowly waking.
      • Being at a public restaurant (mild hunger while sleeping).
      • Red as waking priority (common, typically only in the last dream of a sleeping period when I have been sleeping a bit too long).
      • Waking symbolism (and dream self attention) oriented to the right (most common).
