    1. Paralyzed Lucid in Bed, and Dream of Babies

      by , 07-11-2014 at 11:18 AM
      Awake Non-Lucid Lucid

      3:00

I woke up to my alarm playing "Helter Skelter". I went to the bathroom and stayed up for another minute or two for a total of around 5 or 6 minutes. I then stayed in my bed for an hour and thirty minutes until I fell asleep.

      ~4:28

I woke up in my bed, hearing the usual sounds when I'm lucid (rushin, et cetera). This time I wasn't scared. I attempted to someone to walk into my bedroom, but nothing happened. I tried to get up, and all I did was lay there. I was paralyzed. I close my dream eyes, thinking that I'm in sleep paralysis or something, and that I just need to wait a few more minutes. I ended up awake at 4:29.

I then layed in bed for another whole bunch of time, waiting to go to sleep, accepting that I failed to have an LD this night.

      ~5:00

I remember babies, and my hometown. There were good and evil babies, and devil babies. I especially remember a certain demon baby. I also remember the playground in my hometown.
    2. Exploring a lucid dream

      by , 07-03-2014 at 03:29 AM
I entered a lucid dream using the WBTB method. I left my body after the sleep paralysis, and gazed outside my bedroom window. I could see red roses jutting out from my neighbours house and wild yellow flowers. They were very vibrant and sort of swishy looking like someone had painted them. I heard a voice tell me "this is all yours. This is your painting." Which exhilarated me way too much, and the dream started to fade. I started to spin. As my vision faded to white I imagined a grey fountain and let my dreaming mind fill in the rest. I was planted in a hell-ish looking place. The ground was red and looked like lava, the fountain completely empty and covered in ancient scribblings of some forgotten language. It was in the middle of the lava room. An old man walked towards me dressed in tattered brown clothes with a hood on. I told him, "Take me to meet your friends!" He took my hand. As we started to fly together, the dream scene melted into a deep forest. We flew past blurry trees (due to the insanely fast flying this guy was doing) and we ened up standing in front of a ginormous tree in a small clearing. There was a very long ladder leading up to a door (the entrance of the tree) The forest was illuminated by glowing blue light coming from absolutely no where, and it was absolutely breath taking! The tree was so saturated! A dark oreo brown with rich florescent blue leaves sprouting from the top, enough so that there was no sky to be seen. We entered the tree. The room was small width wise, but went on for ages horizontally. One wall was covered completely in doors, all set in top of each other going up the wall. Like you had to fly up to each door. There were roughly 6 people in there, a lot for a room so small, but it felt very cozy and warm. The inside bark walls were very smooth and almost shiny, and much lighter than the outside bark. It was a glowing golden color with lines of light brown streaking it. There were bunk beds on the floor and some jutting out from the walls, and book cases sunken into the walls. I told the man who brought me there "thank you for showing me this place" he said nothing back and disappeared through one of the doors. I sat down on one of the bunk beds with a kid in glasses, a button up white shirt and black dress pants. I asked him "do you know you are in my dream?" He gave me a weird look and replied, "of course" I then asked him "are you okay with it?" He looked confused. He said "I need to get back" and then the dream suddenly faded, I tried to spin but I ened up waking up! Wrote down every detail I could remeber in my dream journal, and kept the images alive throughout my day. I wonder if the guy with the glasses in my dream was me, saying I needed to wake up "get back". I definitely overslept! Got 10 hours last night, top notch.

Dream: This dream was strange, but great at the same time. I wont even try to explain the dream in chronoligical occurence. I will list the things i can remember, here we go: I start out at road, and i find a girl. I dont really think, i just act on instinct. I have however had this dream before, or atleast a similiar one. I put her on my back, and start walking. Now onto the events that happened after: -Me and the girl arrive at a restaurant, i put her in a seat and start talking to some of my friends. We eventually leave, but i notice something strange. Whenever i am not holding the girl, my gravity is messed up! -At this point i am lucid, and i try my best to ''fix'' the gravity, i eventually get it down and now i have normal gravity! I was super stoked over this, since gravity was one of my short-term dream goals! -I am in a car graveyard, i spot fredriksten festning. I look at the ground and at fredriksten. It feels strange having a dream this vivid and clear, and being lucid. -Me and the girl try our best to swin through some kind of water challange. -Me and the girl mow down some guy fighting a few kids. -Me and the girl arrive at stonehenge-like place with a mean looking guy in the middle, i realize the girl is some kind of prophet needed to beat this man. We scare him off and move on. Eventually we meet the same guy again, we defeat him using the girls powers. At this point the dream messes itself up, and it becomes some kind of pixelated jump game. Throughout this entire dream i woke up, and fell asleep MANY times.
      Awake: Unknown.
      Vividness: 10
      Awareness: 10
      Length: 10
      Emotions/feelings: Happiness, temptation, success,
Dream Signs: Games, my city, friends, roads.
    4. My First Successful Lucid Dream 3/6/2014

      by , 04-06-2014 at 01:37 PM
I am happy to say that I can change my LD count from 0 to 1 today. Let me start off by saying that this is the coolest feeling anyone can feel. I am ecstatic to have experience this, even for how short it was. The kind of technique I used was WBTB. I went to bed around 11:30 and set my alarm for 6:30. I get in bed and do flex freezes. It helps me fall asleep very quickly. I have a short strange dream with me and my father in it. My alarm wakes me up. I shut it off and begin doing the piano moves with my fingers. Every time I am about to fall asleep I notice I stopped moving my fingers. This continued on for about 30 minutes. I started to get irritated, so I rolled over on my side to at least try to get some more sleep. As I do that, I notice that the heavy feeling from the sleep paralysis hadn't changed. I still felt very heavy. This is where I drift off.

My dream started out with me in my old Agricultural Science class. I had asked my teacher Mr. B if I could use the restroom. I go to the bathroom almost every block. He looks at me and says, "Really? You go every day." I say to him, "My body is on a clock, when I have to go, I go." He allows me to leave. I'm walking down the hallway with my buddy Joey who is pushing a black cart. I keep walking but the dream shifts. I'm in a different part of the school but still walking to the say destination. I can see a few DCs around me just chit chatting. I look up and see old memorial pictures for a friend who had died about a year ago. I start to walk into the bathroom but for some reason I turn around. I look to see a couple guy toss a football into my hands. They are sitting on a bench in the middle of the hallway. i start making a strange cackling noise as if saying, "You have no idea what you've just done." I stop and toss the ball back to then. After that, I stop and think. I do a reality check, but I don't believe that I'm in a dream. I pinch my nose even harder and take an even bigger breath in. Holy shit I'm dreaming. Finding this out, my dream begins to lose its focus. I put my hands together and begin to rub them. I say out loud, "100% clarity." The dream settles. Holy shit that actually just worked. I have the biggest grin on my face even though I couldn't see myself. The first thing that comes to my mind, as does anyone when they first have an LD, I want to fly. I take a few steps in front of me and begin to take flight. I fly straight up into the ceiling of the school and begin phasing through. I can hear the strangest sound as I'm going through. It was like a typical Sci-Fi sound but still awesome. I can feel tingles of happiness and ecstasy go through my body. I get through the ceiling and notice that everything is black. I had lost the dream but it was worth it. I open my eyes and feel like a million bucks.

    5. WBTB Lucid Dream #1 (Romantic sex,Crowbar massacre)

      by , 03-27-2014 at 02:00 PM
Technique i used in achieving lucidity in this dream is one i came up with but it's very similiar to WBTB-Wake Back To Bed
Set up alarm to wake up at 3:15am,try to sleep at least 4 hours when you wake up at that time stay up for 30 minutes to 1 hour and focus on dreaming and becoming lucid.
You will eventually go to sleep and most likely realize that you are dreaming waking up in the middle of night has the best chances of becoming lucid in a dream.
      NON LUCID , LUCID
Okay time for my lucid experience from last night:
-I am at my house but there is no one in there but my dream wife i am about to marry she is actually someone i know in real life.
-I walk around the house and see her and realize that she is about to be my wife, in the meantime we kiss and have romantic sex.
-After the sex i realize i might be dreaming and i do some reality checks everything seems fine i check my fingers i turn on the light it works.

-I do one more reality check and that's when i became lucid in the dream i look at the clock its 5:30pm i look away its 7:49 and i realize im dreaming.
-At this point im fully lucid and in full control of the dream i tell my wife FUCK YES FINALLY FULLY LUCID she wierdly stops like she is a robot that ran out of battery.
-I close my eyes and teleport to a boat full of beautiful women and i have some fun with them, after that i teleport back to my house and go out in the street.
-I'm like let's do something fun tried flying didn't really work out, tried being invisible didn't work and i think well let's do something that is actually possible in real life.
-I walk through the street and see some people i think about getting a crowbar to rob them magically a crowbar appears in my hand and i massacre like 30 people.
-I'm like hmm what next i tried getting a jetpack didn't really work out then i'm like let's teleport back to the boat with the women so i'm back at the yacht.
-While i was on yacht i shoot some women some i forced to have sex with me and some i throwed of board i had so much fun and i started trying to teleport back to home.
-That does not work out very well and i end up in a volcano and i burn to death,at that point i wake up and my dream ends.

      NOTES:

-This was one of my most memorable dreams i ever had in my life it was very vivid and dream recall was amazing.
-When i woke up i didn't know if i was dreaming or waking up in another lucid dream scene, that's how much it was vivid.
-This dream seemed like it lasted for ages but it was actually from 3:30am to 7:00am.
-Try this technique i guarantee after you get used to this technique you will have lucid dreams every 2nd night.
    6. Morning - Lucid - Mugphasing

by , 03-16-2014 at 02:09 PM (Dream Dream Dream Dream Dream Dream)
      WELL WELL WELL.

      Lucid Dream #1
Note: I've had lucid dreams before, but only a few. I'm starting at 1 anyway.

It started off with a false awakening, which are rare for me.

I wake up in the 1319 house (J room) and start getting ready for my morning (not even remotely realistic for a false awakening). The first thing I do is take a bath in the 2nd floor bathroom, and it's sort of strange and scary; the water is oddly dark and near both edges lengthways (how 2 describe ??) I can feel an uneven edge in the floor, some sort of precipice, little rough bits that threaten to cut me. I can't see anything, though. I'm also wondering whether a bath is really how I start my mornings, wouldn't a shower be faster? Don't I usually shower? Or I suppose it's usually a bath. My mentality seems to be present-day, despite the surroundings.

I may have spent a brief amount of time getting ready in my (J) room post-bath, but the next thing I remember is sitting next to Ben (he's wearing a grey t-shirt) in the living room, on the blue couch. There are some hints towards present-day reality, such as the fancy computers he and I are using, BLEHEHH. I'll write this part later it's too frickin' sad. (My brother was home over spring break and yesterday he headed back on a train so yeah he's one of my favorite people ever)

*SIIIGH* so at first I'm just brushing skin foundation over someone else's artwork in a big notebook, I'm not sure why. They used some sort of wet clay marker or something, so the skin foundation sticks to the art but not the paper. I'm havin' a good time just brushin' it everywhere even though on some level idk if I'm just hurting their art. The feeling was pretty cool though, very realistic. Nice detail.

Then I'm showing Ben some kinda audiovisual webcomic, or more that I'm just letting it play on my computer and he looks over sometimes. I don't remember the storyline very well, although I do remember it was kinda urban and at one point four guys were in a car, and the driver guy suddenly passed out or something, maybe he pulled over first, they were kinda just waiting for him to wake up. One of 'em gets out and takes a phone call from their boss, tells him the situation, gets his orders, and then leans down, sticks his gun in the car, and shoots the driver. The perspective was from outside the car so you couldn't see anything violent.

Lastly... ;-; I said something to Ben like "did you miss your train?" in a sort of awkward teasing voice, and he looked at me like I was crazy and said no, he didn't. I said "So you're in [college] right now?", and he said yes. This all came as sort of a shock. I considered the implications of this, that I must have been talking to him over Steam while interacting with a hologram, except that explanation wasn't a way to cling to reality; it was more that, because this was a dream, that sort of thing was possible. I did the nose-plug reality check, found I could breathe, and fully realized I was dreaming. (sry for tense change)

I get up from the couch and say "I'm dreaming" out loud just to confirm it. Everything feels very real. I walk towards the front door; I'm standing in the living room doorway when I hear Ben on the couch behind me. I look back half-expecting him to have changed somehow (something I'm worried about in dreams, you'll see later with the lifeguards), but instead he's completely gone. Dad's grey blanket is piled up where I'd just been sitting.

I focus on trying to get outside. My first thought is to phase through the glass; it seems like glass would be the easiest thing to phase through, but I find myself pressing my hands up against it instead. I'm sort of frustrated by this. I try for a bit longer, and then I decide to simply break the glass.

I slam it with my fist and manage to break it somewhat. The door is actually split into two sections of glass, top and bottom, separated by a wooden bar piece. I figure I'll have to break both, though the logic isn't all there, and continue punching the glass and broken edges (sustaining no pain or damage). At some point, because it's not really working either, I stand back, hold out my right arm, sort of brace it by putting my left hand on top, and try to summon some sort of concussive blast to shatter all the glass, thinking of Mega Man or perhaps Kadaj with his materia. Nothing happens. Then I try breaking the lower section of the glass with my eyes closed so it'll be easier to crawl through (logic ??). (My eyes-closed view was sort of interesting, because it was all dark except for a mental picture of the broken edges of the glass around the hole.) Finally I just stand up and try the (old, loose) doorknob like a normal person, and it comes off in my hand. Underneath is another one, slightly larger but also very old and sort of ugly. I try that one and finally manage to get out the door, opening the next door after it easily.

Now I'm outside in the 1319 area, in the daylight, taking in how real everything feels. I start flying up to the roof, thinking about the dreamviews competition (#17), and have no problems getting to the roofs of the townhomes. There are some smaller townhomes on top, minis. One of them has sort of a colorful beach house design, with a sign out front explaining that it was designed by a 6-year-old and is up for auction. There's an open house going on inside.

I get the idea to summon Ben back, and start calling his name, then turning around expecting him to be behind me. That doesn't work, so I head into the 6-year-old-designer house, still calling him. He's sitting on the stairs inside (green shirt now), which are so small no one else can get by, and I hear people on the second floor. I come sit by him, a bit lower on the stairs.

There's a sort of odd brown mug with a cover/lid of some sort on a convenient wooden platform (there's a better word) in front of us. I decide to try passing my hand through it. I hold my hand out palm down, fingers together, and try moving it horizontally through the mug. At first it doesn't quite work, and then I find my fingers passing through it rather slowly. It seems to be solid all the way through, not really a mug. The sensation of moving my fingers through it is like passing them through slime of some sort. One successful pass later, neither the mug nor my fingers are changed in any way. I try it again, a couple times, and while I'm trying the last time I say "it's like air!" out loud, in the hopes that it'll be a more "professional" sort of "passing through", more like a ghost. It doesn't work, though. At least I'm optimistic.

I go outside next, and, still on the rooftops, head up the street towards the mall. (I think, for the sake of convenience, I'll designate the direction I'm currently heading "North". The houses I'm walking on face West.) I see some sort of Stone Harbor-esque structures in the distance (Northeast) and go towards them; there seems to be an ocean or perhaps a bay on the East side up ahead. There's also a weird metal structure that I'm interested in flying to the top of, for no particular reason.

Now I'm walking North-ish down the street in the Stone Harbor area, no longer on rooftops. I start thinking about whether I can turn this into some kind of chase dream (or more specifically, "being chased"). As I'm thinking this, I notice five-ish lifeguard guys behind me, reminiscent of some sort of gang. I wonder if they're going to chase me, and decide to keep a low profile for a moment. I go around a corner and then busy myself admiring the detail of the dream, peering very closely at the white-washed wall, which has some ugly yellow spotted stains on it, while they walk by to my right. Then I investigate another wall (slate gray?) so my back is to them.

At some point as they walk by, I think about the way that things can change easily in dreams. It tends to surprise me how stable dreams are, given that when I try to imagine things IWL, I can't get anything right visually and it can't seem to hold steady. At this point, thanks to my thought process, one of the lifeguards abruptly doesn't have a head; only a sewn-up and scarred neck stump (thx Outlast). He keeps walking just fine, and I think his head may have returned after a moment. idk if that counts as a dream power so much as a mistake.

Next I fly around a bit more, maybe up to the metal structure, and then land next to a tide pool with minnows inside. On closer inspection, however, I realize they're actually small piranhas (some are still actively switching to being a mini piranha). I say something surprised out loud about piranhas. Then I hear a sound nearby, and look down to see a small frog/toad-looking thing sort of snuggled among the wet stones. I wonder if my dream wanted me to throw him to the piranhas, but decline to and move on.
I think I probably woke up shortly after, without my alarm going off.

      Re: the WILD attempt.
I woke up after 6 hours, tried to remember dreams but only got fragments, decided to write them down anyway, briefly reviewed BillyBob's WILD tutorial, set my alarm to wake me up in an hour and a half, and then laid down, on my back, to sleep. Then, for a while, I could feel myself slipping closer to sleep by degrees. I was trying to monitor how exactly it felt: the heaviness in my chest, the deepening layers of almost-sleep, my mentality. I could feel it when I slipped down another layer, and realized this was the closest to sleep I'd ever been while WILDing. However, at some point I rolled over onto my side; it's more comfortable. I should probably just start out there.

Eventually I started getting the hallucinations, and this time I tried to simply observe them, smothering my impulse to tense up. I was surprised to realize that I'd felt this sort of thing as I was falling asleep before, where I would hear-without-hearing someone's voice or some noise close by my ear, although the visual hallucinations were less familiar. First they were quick, flashing images, and then, a bit later, some static and fuzz. I kept trying to focus on clapping my hands in the front office of the 1319 house, and when I fell asleep I woke up in the 1319 house. I wasn't lucid, though. Could still use improvement.

    7. Competition Thread #17 night 5 & 6

      by , 03-13-2014 at 01:41 PM
      Tuesday night: 1 fragment= .5
      Wednesday night: 1 dream = 1 pt.
      1 fragment = .5
      successful WBTB = 3 pts.
      Lucid= 5 pts.
      successful RC = 1
      Successful stabilize= 2pts.
hand through a solid object = 4 pts
move completely through solid object= 8 pts.
Total for tuesday and wednesday = 25 pts

      Lucid on Wednesday:
I went to bed at 9 p.m. I woke up at 2 a.m. and fell back asleep at 4:30 a.m.
I am at a "school" which is in appearance my grandfather's house. It is fulll of people. Looking out a window,I see some threatening people approaching. I sneak out the back door and lie down in the gravel driveway, playing dead. My brother appears and tells me that we need to help the people in the school. We enter a house that is alongside the driveway, looking for something to use to defend the people in the other building. I climb a flight of stairs (the interior of this house appears like a barn). There are throwing darts (from the game) stuck in the steps. I pick them out as I climb the steps. At the top of the steps I see someone who looks as I did when I was about 12, doing something on a strange looking computer. There is something weird about the perspective. Thinking about this, I realize I am dreaming. Lucid, I state "I am dreaming" i Look at my hand to RC, it is very distorted. I have one thick central finger with little crumpled fingers growing out from each side. I rub my hands together to stabilize the dream. It feels like I am rubbing my hand on sandpaper. I feel "heat" from the "friction". I look around and the scene has changed. I am in a bedroom. One wall has blue wallpaper with white dots on it. The other walls are painted light yellow. There is a window. I remember my goal to push my hand through a solid object. I push both hands through the glass in the window pane. They pass cleanly through. I decide to crawl through the window. I bend down and push my head, shoulders, and torso through the pane of glass. When my head enters everything turns grey and indistinct. After passing through the window I am in bed. It is the guest room at my grandmother's house. I think I have woken up. I do a quick RC, looking at both hands. They are tiny, like a dolls hands on the end of my normal arms. I am still dreaming. I try to get up from the bed, but the covers are really heavy and moving is difficult. I wake up in my own bed.
    8. WBTB (5 hours) - Non-lucid

by , 03-07-2014 at 11:39 AM (Dream Dream Dream Dream Dream Dream)
yo it's 5 am let's do this *yawn*

(a hastily scribbled outline was here)

Thinking back as far as I can, the first chapter of the dream was something about me being on the second floor of a large castle. The outside was rather menacing somehow, probably because it was simply enormous, and the interior reminded me somewhat of a church I used to attend (third floor of WCF). I get the impression someone else was there and that there were some rules going on, but mostly what I remember is that my cat Moses was being super dangerous in his attempts to get from the second floor of the castle to the ground. It was something like, when he wasn't supposed to jump to the ground he'd end up falling off somehow, and when it was made totally clear to him that he wasn't allowed down, he jumped off in the most ridiculously daredevil and rebellious way a cat can manage; that is to say, it was a sort of flying leap. He seemed alright when he landed though.

There was also something about the second floor of the castle being able to view the ground floor (some open space in the floor idk architecture terms) but having prison bars, and there was definitely more structure to the whole scenario. There was a girl there, it was nighttime, and there was a bit of a Stone Harbor feel. And come to think of it there was some sort of longer scenario involving a whole bunch of other teenagers which had a bit of story and structure to it, and some clique hierarchy junk, but the best I can remember of that is simply that I, along with my female (dream) best friend, was in competition with some rude female who probably had some boyfriend arm candy, and ultimately I was victorious on some level. And I suppose it wasn't quite teen hierarchy junk as much as it was adults-and-office-related. So a bit of both.

The second chapter that I can remember ... involved something about a Roman slave type person, a rather ruefully cheerful man, and something about him carrying a plate that had recently had food on it past my (iwl) dad and some other guy, both of whom commented on it. If I had to guess, I would say the plate had just had some venetian turkey pie on it. Uhhh the architecture of the situation was a bit confusing as well. The slave guy came out of a back room sort of thing and walked by a counter which divided the short hall he was in from the room with the other two men in it, who were lounging in chairs. Man there was something really strange happening other than what I'm describing but it's either hard to remember or hard to translate to waking life terms. Basically though, the two men commented on the plate, saying something like "is there any of that left" because the food it referenced was so delicious, and the slave felt sort of awkward, and then there was something about the Bible. Or something. And a river of lava. The feel of this chapter was subordinate with a touch of outright menace and a helping (DO YOU SEE THE THING THAT I DID) of danger, compared to the previous one.

The last thing thing I remember before my alarm went off and I woke up was a dream that I was recording my dream. I was attempting to remember the different parts of the dream and starting to outline them in my head so I could remember them and write them down. But since I was still dreaming and not at all lucid, the information I was arranging was totally made-up (did not refer to any dream I had just had) and in non-IWL terms. Also I did not realize I wasn't awake and when my alarm went off I was genuinely surprised. So it would almost be impressive that I started writing down a dream before I'd even woken up and before my alarm had gone off, if the information did not look like (attempted translation):
      • a person wearing a black, looseknit sweater thing
      • holding a fishing rod that they are using to tease
      • some third person (information not found)
or, in other words, total gibberish, even as dreams are concerned, and also incorrect.

But apparently my heart's in the right place. Also more proof that my mind sort of knows when my alarm is about to go off (since my mentality started to switch from "dreaming" to "recording dreams" shortly before I woke up), which is always very strange. I also remember that my feelings upon waking were something like "ahhh I'll remember all this when I wake up in the morning", but I decided to write it down anyway because those words really meant "I'm disoriented and lazy and I didn't ask to be in this 5 AM time-to-write-down-your-dream situation" and the fact of the matter was I was already starting to forget. Having a dream journal on here is pretty dang cool.

I am at a long dinner table eating with people from work. We are discussing new assessments. I express thinly veiled disdain at the idea of more testing. I am worried that they will think ill of me for holding such ideas. One colleague has a University of Northern Kentucky marching band costume on. A bottle of wine is produced.

I step outside of my paternal grandparent's house. It is night. I walk down the driveway into the street. Everything is dim and shadowy. I recall my previous dream and realize that I am now dreaming. Lucid, I break into a run and leap into the sky. I remember mid jump that I should RC and stabilize the dream. I try to get my hands together. I am tumbling through space. I can't control my hands. I bring them up to my face and frantically try to rub them together. No dice. I wake up.

WBTB (5 min) + MILD produced this. Second in as many nights.

I have no aspirations to fly. I have no idea why this occurred. It was almost instinctual.
    10. Smoking weed at a gas station and lucid flying

I am at a rather busy gas station with several other people, including the wife. There are security guards there and they have a policy that forbids taking of photographs. Those at the gas station have two options: 1. Give their phones/cameras to the security guards, or 2. Show the guards the "first and last photos" on said devices. I opt to give my phone to the guards. They disable it by taking a part off. I do not mind as I want to comply with the policy. Soon I am in the back of the gas station on a grassy hill with some unknown people. They want to smoke weed. I decide that even thought it has been 10 years, I will join them. We smoke out of some long, blue, dragon shaped pipe. I worry it will make me fall asleep. Then we are laying in the grass, which we can miraculously pull up over us like blankets. We look up at the night sky. There are beautiful stars all around. Next I am inside the station, in the stock room in the back. I am preparing to go somewhere by putting my shoes on. I notice there is weed strewn about on a shelf with other trash and debris. I pick it up. It looks like high quality. An employee peeks in and says "no talking to the security guards."

I am in a car with the wife and several other people. We are driving along a wooded road. There are hills on either side of the road. Nestled in the hills are beautiful, ornate victorian greenhouses. They are all white wood framed and glass. There are small, wispy clouds around the peaks of the roofs of each. I think "it must be from the humidity escaping through the vents." The greenhouses are on both sides of the road. Each is more ornate and beautiful than the last.
The last set are strange and futuristic. They are made of rectangular glass units. The units are stacked into various strange and seemingly impossible shapes. Then the units seem to be tents, with people in some of them, people leaving others. We arrive at a dusty, desert nature preserve. There are more of the tent units on impossible ridges and locations high in the hills. People are crawling along narrow paths to reach them. We lay down on the ground for some reason. Pebbles start to tumble down the cliff, small rocks that do not hurt us. They gradually increase in size until i tell everyone we need to get up or get crushed.
I am then going to go for a hike with my wife. My parents are going to watch my children. I walk through a trailer that has been converted into a kitchen. My wife goes around the structure on the outside. I hear her voice through he windows. I see loads of fruit stacked in the trailer. There are a peaches and bananas. I exit the trailer and do not see my wife. I go back in looking for her and see the fruit again. She is not there. I go out to see if she is outside. she is not. I go in again. not there. I go out and realize as I open the door "This is strange...I am dreaming!!"
Lucid, i drop some food that I have in my hands and immediately rub them together to stabilize the dream. I call out "maximum clarity and stability please!" Everything becomes amazingly vivid and crisp! I leap into the air and fly loop-de-loops under the wooden awning. I begin to sing the mantra of Avalokiteshvara as I am flying. After 5 repetitions, the dream fades and I wake up in my bed.

WBTB: I fell asleep at 10, woke up at 2:30. I practiced MILD as I fell asleep and awoke from this dream at 4:30.
    11. Attempt at WILD

      by , 02-03-2014 at 03:56 AM
Went to bed at 1:45 am, woke up around 10:40

I've been trying to DILD for a while but I haven't had much success. However, my phone went off this morning and woke me up so I decided that it would be a good opportunity to try a WILD. I began by focusing on my breathing to relax my body; I counted each breath and imagined myself swaying back and fourth. I was so tired that after about three minutes of this, I fell asleep. Since I fell asleep so quickly I didn't reach lucidity, but I did recognize that I was dreaming.

My dream began with my friend Mary and I running around in her basement trying to avoid a gorilla that was chasing us. We ran upstairs and left her house. Somehow, we ended up outside of Tim Horton's. We went inside and Mary ordered a cinnamon bun. After this, we went to a restaurant. I recognized the waiter as someone that I know in real life. It was my friend's older brother; I never talk to him so this was a dream sign. I instantaneously knew that I was dreaming. I told Mary that I was dreaming and I told other people around me. I didn't think to do any reality checks or anything..for some reason I never think to do them when I am dreaming. I started to get frustrated because I knew that I was dreaming but I wasn't lucid. I started saying to the waiter, "We don't talk in real life. You don't work here. I've never even seen this restaurant before. I'm dreaming." He agreed with me that I was dreaming and we laughed about it. But I still didn't think to do any RC's. After this I guess I just got so mad that I woke up.

For my first attempt, I'm glad that I at least knew that I was dreaming. I'm mad that I didn't think to do any reality checks or look at my hands etc.

Thanks for reading! I'm off to bed now

This whole situation with D. is wrecking me up. Hardly sleep at all anymore.
Around 6 am tried a WBTB with following meditation. Couldn't relax then the guy next door gets a delivery (on Sunday morning!!). Had a short dream about my cat dying. He died ten years ago. But last night he died again in my dreams. Maybe I should take a break from everything. It's just too much right now
    13. WBTB win and a strange dream.

      by , 12-17-2013 at 05:59 PM
Ok so I did a WBTB which resulted after not being able to get to sleep for the first thirty min. of trying to in this LD:

Ok so I was in my room, but it looked totally different than in real life. It was nighttime, and the sky was completely dark without stars. I did a RC (looking at my hands), without a proper reason. So I was lucid. I stabilized the dream and I tried to fly, I did manage it, but because of the excitement I woke up, so the stabilization wasn't really effective.
      I forgot to DEILD.

The second dream I recall was this:
I was in a room with another guy but idk why. After taking quick look around the building I was in - it was a rather large bungalow - I decided to talk to the guy. He was ~18 years old and pretty nice. He had short brown hair and looked very similar to a cousin of mine (it wasn't him though). We talked about music and we decided to play a couple of songs together. Then we played some old-school video games like the original mario and zelda, although they were not very 'real'. Then he showed me that he liked to program his own videogames, too. Sadly at this point I woke up. The dream was very calm, no things I had to do and I didn't have any fears etc.

    14. Experiment - Sleep Routine

      by , 12-13-2013 at 08:06 PM (Experiments)
      Sleep Score: 86 approx
      Lucid Dreams: 1
      Sequence:
      - attempted WBTB
      - sleep time: 1:30
      - actual sleep time: 1:30
      - wake time: 7:00
      - back to sleep time: 7:30
      - actual back to sleep time: 7:40
      - wake time: 11:00
Notes: once again the LD was not triggered by a RC, just simply a realization that this must be a dream dependent on events. Must do more WL RCs to re-instantiate the habit.

    15. Experiment - Sleep Routine

      by , 12-12-2013 at 08:03 PM (Experiments)
      Sleep Score: 82 approx
      Lucid Dreams: 0
      Sequence:
      - attempted WBTB
      - sleep time: 1:20
      - actual sleep time: 1:30
      - wake time: 7:10
      - back to sleep time: 7:31
      - actual back to sleep time: 8:30
      - wake time: 11:00
Notes: the sleep chart revealed very little REM sleep, didn't make for a great opportunity, did read a great article on dream yoga with some very practical advise on visualizations (this is rare).
