    1. False Awakening and Flying!

      Two lucids last night! Yay!

      The first was very dark. I was walking down a dark street and simply knew it was a dream. I think beforehand I had been looking for my dogs leash, or rather, a dog leash somewhere. I then realized that I was holding the leash and walking her down the street.

      Anyway, I realize I'm dreaming and decided that I wanted to fly into space and explore another planet. I started drifting upwards, and then saw my dog still on the leash. For some reason I couldn't come back down and unleash her, so I decided to use my mind to do it. I made the leash unhook from up in the air and she came catapulting up next to me. The sky was beautiful, and I started to penetrate into space, everything was blue and cloudy... wispy. The dream ended.

      --

      I'm in my room, and I wake up. I feel like something is off. Everything feels really weird. D is there and is yelling about something. I feel like this must be a dream. I look at my hands and count my fingers to do a reality check. I could about 8 fingers on my left hand. I know I'm dreaming, but this feels too real. I think, maybe I can fly through the ceiling since it's a lucid dream. I jump and hit my head on the ceiling, I can't penetrate it. I feel like I spent a really long time knowing I was dreaming but was somewhat overwhelmed about being wrong that I was dreaming. I ended up catapulting myself through the window.

      I lost lucidity shortly after. I remember inheriting a house and having the neighbors yell at me because there was an anarchy sign on the side of the house. It was very small. I also remember driving down some jenky road that I wasn't supposed to.
    2. I Need to get Curtains

      During most of the night, I had terrible recall. Only 2 dreams remembered by 6:30. I can very rarely get back to sleep once light starts showing through my window, even IF I put my sleep mask on, but this time I was lucky.

      1- Midnight Tragedy
      A wolf... wandering through the forest. "Pain is pain, but one step out of Hell is alleviating. The wolf's war had never been closer." He grants a big dog sentience to ask it a question, just after the poor thing gets chopped in half. It is still alive, writhing in a pool of it's own blood. But the wolf doesn't care about the other animal's pain. He just wants answers.

      2- Wanderlust and Surprisingly Good Excuses
      Chris and I are walking down a path through the forest. I stumble upon the biggest deer antler I have ever seen: it's about the size of my own body, if not bigger. I want to take it with me, but Chris refuses to help. I end up dragging it behind me by myself.

      Later, I am no longer myself. I am a Princess, walking through a beautiful meadow with my sister, my guards, and one of our suitors. (Who is a Prince from a faraway land.) We reach the end of the meadow... the edge of the woods. My sister sends all the guards and the Prince away. One of the guards doesn't want to leave us, but the Prince says that they all must obey any command we give.

      "We have to hurry, or Mother will find out that we're here by ourselves." As soon as I utter the words, my phone rings. It's our mother. She begins telling me something about Chris coming to the place she works to teach everyone martial arts."

      "That's great," I say, not really paying attention. "I have to go now. Love you, bye!"

      Time passes. I am riding in a limo with my sister when we get attacked by vampires. Even worse, our mom has somehow found out about us being off in the woods! I managed to get our vampire attack on video, and I use this as an excuse for why we were in the woods by ourselves.


      3- Mirrors Hate Me (WILD)
      ((As I enter SP, it feels as though I'm being drug across carpet. "Oh no, it's the carpet monster!" I think to myself jokingly, waiting for it to stop. Finally the sliding ends, and I feel a shift.)) Okay, I'm in a dream. But I still can't see. Should I open my eyes, or try to see through them? I open them. I now see that I'm lying facedown on the floor, at my grandparent's house. Weird that I ended up here. I give the dream a moment to put itself together, as it looks... fleeting. Once the clarity increases, I stand up and begin to rub my hands together.

      I just so happen to look in the mirror as I am doing this. My reflection is EVIL. She is clapping her hands, rather than rubbing them, and laughing like a demon. Her eyes are filled with darkness... "Holy crap, that's freaky," I think, though I am more amused than creeped out. Suddenly my reflection hits me with a jolt of dark energy and I collapse to the floor,
      waking up.

      4- Restless (DEILD)
      ((I DEILD back into the dream.)) "Okay, no mirrors this time." I pick myself up off the floor where I had fallen and make sure to keep my eyes averted from any reflective surface. There's really no reason for me to be in this house, anyway. I'm going out.

      Outside, I ponder over what to do. I should go to my training grounds, but... Out loud, I say, "I want to find Man of Shred or Waking Nomad and see if I can learn anything about shared dreaming." I fly to the top of the house, intending to go to the moon. But...


      5- A Lousy Attempt (FA)
      ...I "wake up." Fine, I'll just DEILD again. I'm already halfway into sleep paralysis, anyway. The only problem is, every time the vibrations start getting intense, my hip feels as if it's dislocating. I can't stop myself: I grab it in pain and get out of SP. I tell myself it's only an illusion, that I am experiencing HI. I am talking to someone who is in the room with me, so I really don't see how I didn't think to RC.

      6- More Vampires
      I am walking into a vampire restaurant with some people who I'm traveling with. A lady in the doorway takes a snap at me; I merely roll my eyes and keep walking. I watch people as I walk toward the counter. One of the waiters is asking a couple of kids who they are. "Vampires," they answer at the same time. I realize this must be a password for something. "Oh, you must be part of Sadalgo's lot."

      I tune them out and order a doctor pepper. I'm hoping they don't add blood to it, like they are for everyone else. "How can she be in here, eating with us?" I hear a voice say. The whispering starts. I see a man glance over to me every so often as he has a hushed conversation on his cell phone. Trouble is coming.

      "They're talking about ME," I whisper to my comrades.

      "I know."

      Outside, I get attacked by that same vampire lady and her slightly chubby male friend. I chase her off and take the guy captive. I have to literally sit on him to keep him him from getting away. I can't let him up until we get the signal that our weapons are ready. At one point, a cute little puppy walks up and starts licking the vampire man in the face. I laugh, enjoying his discomfort.

      As soon as we get the signal, more vampires arrive; the battle has begun. I have a weird hand gun that I try shooting, but it doesn't work worth a flip. Annoyed, I throw it to the ground. THIS is why I prefer swords! I run off to the forest, planning to cut off the vampires' reinforcements.
      Becoming lucid, I pick up a long piece of tree bark and decide to turn it into the Deathcat. One of the vampires attacks me with a huge battle axe. I raise my sword to block, but... "What the heck? It's still a piece of bark!"

      I dodge out of the way and draw the Deathcat from my sword belt. I can feel it in my hand, but it seems to be invisible. Oh well, it's still sharp. I parry the vampires next blow, then chop off his weapon arm. Unfortunately, he's wearing so much armor that I can't finish him off.

      I'm river rafting with a group on the backs of whales/fish/squid/leeches. The creatures swim down the river with one side of their bodies facing up, which turns from pink to silver in the sunlight. They turn over after a while, so we have to stay on top of them.

      My creature is about to turn over, so I jump onto the shore and let it. I throw one smaller creature back into the river where it got caught somewhere. I watch a kid's creature turn over and throw him into the water. He comes up on the other side, laughing.

      I'm back in the water, swimming on my own. I'm wearing running shoes, which really limits my swimming ability. We'll be hiking later though, so I can't go barefoot.

      An enemy is on the shore, aiming something at our group. I'm swimming through fairly deep water, but I jump up and land a flying kick on the henchmen, knocking the gadget aside. There's another one farther into the forest, and I rush at him -

      I'm driving through one of the main intersections in Quickton. The stoplights facing me are blinking orange, the adjacent stoplights are blinking red. I drive through the intersection, thinking about the DC I'm trying to help / is helping me.

      I'm biking down one of the pathways near my house. I wonder how I'm going to meet up with her again. On impulse, I pull out a blaster and shoot two Star Wars-esque red laser blasts into the sky. I consider that we should have used that as a signal. I shoot a couple more just to see what the range of visibility is.

      The signal starts coming up elsewhere in the city. Sirens go off. Uh oh. I stow my blaster under my jacket (it's too long to sling across my back; the barrel pokes up under my collar) and quickly pedal home. I do have to wonder how video game characters manage this.

      I end up in an oh so messed up version of my backyard. I'm setting my bike against a fence and am about to haul it over into my half of the back yard (it's a duplex), when, for no apparent reason, I realize that I'm dreaming.

      I don't see a reason not to leave the bike where it is. I decide to play along with the dream and get rid of the gun, so I walk into the garden shed and hold the blaster up along the wooden wall. The wall folds out and clamps onto the gun, and when it folds back you wouldn't even know that we were stockpiling an armory. Then I stare at the inside of the shed for a moment, marvelling at the detail and how real this all seems. I can feel my body, the scratch of the jean jacket I'm wearing, my feet on the ground.

      I shake myself out of it. I had plans for a lucid, right? I was going to... meet Walms. Right. Now, how am I supposed to get there?

      Stepping out into the bright sunlight, I extend my right hand, intent on peeling through the layers of the dream. Something goes wrong; I can't feel them.

      "What are you doing?"

      There's a guy my age standing on the lawn in the back yard. Short blond-ish hair. Let's call him Derek (I haven't used that name yet, have I?). He doesn't look much different than I do in dreams. Similar clothing, too.

      "You know what?" He says, when I don't answer, "I don't care. See ya."

      Derek jumps through a hole in the lawn. It's shimmery, like a puddle, but it doesn't reflect the blue sky above. It reflects a different sky with a setting or rising sun, shot through with pink.

      I jump through the puddle.

      I hit sand on the other side, startling Derek. "Um, hi." I say.

      "I wasn't expecting you to follow me," he admits.

      "Yeah, well..." I look around, taking in the view. We're standing on a beach, looking out over a sunset. "Huh. I think I have a [desktop wallpaper] like this."



      We spot another puddle in the sand. "You coming?" he asks me.

      I nod.

      We jump. The other side is more blue-tinged. It's still sandy, but everything is underwater.

      "So, you've gotta be looking for something, right?"

      I try to answer, but the words come out garbled.

      Derek rolls his eyes. "You know this is a dream, right? You wouldn't have been able to follow me otherwise. You can still talk."

      I take a breath, feel cool air enter my lungs. Breathe out, breathe in. I try again. "I'm looking for a guy who calls himself 'Walms'".

      Derek looks at me, incredulous. "You don't even know where you're meeting him? Jesus. I could take you to a place, but I don't think I can help you find someone you don't even know."


      False awakening. I feel the dream fall apart around me, and become aware of my body lying on the bed. There is bright white light everywhere, and I can still feel the remnants of the previous dream around me.

      I fade back into the dream. I'm back in the dream-warped backyard, sitting on the lawn. Derek is standing beside me. I swear, if he rolls his eyes any more, they'll stick like that.
      I go over where I left my bike and lift it over the fence. Derek says something.

    4. #49. Dream Goals

      There's a wedding or a funeral in the family, and we (the "kids") are getting ready. I'm in a store, wondering if I dare to wear a tie. I do, deciding on a light blue dress shirt. I go over to the mirror to try it on, but I can't pull it closed over my breasts. Damn it, I think, annoyed, I shouldn't have to deal with this in my own dreams.

      I'm in the Ixburg apartment, doing a hand RC. Everything is slightly blurry. It's hard to move. The RC worked, and "I'm lucid," I repeat to myself, "I'm lucid, I'm lucid, I'm lucid." I look in the mirror of my bedroom door, and see a dark grey blob standing where I am. I peer to the side, and the blob doesn't move. I see myself, currently male. I have dark brown hair, longer than it is now. I'm wearing dark clothes, a black dress shirt unbuttoned over a t-shirt. No ties, apparently. Thank God. I see strange things in the background, and open the door before I get freaked out and this turns into a nightmare.

      I walk out of the apartment, fighting to stay grounded as everything blurs around me. I keep RCing and muttering that I'm lucid, until I'm halfway down the stairs and looking out of an east-facing window.

      The town has transformed itself once again, this time into what looks like a creepy green-tinged matte painting. The entrance to the building, which juts out into the gravel parking lot, is in ruins, and the entire field beyond is covered in water. About fifty yards away are a set of stone steps, leading up to a square stone arch. Someone is hanging from it, arms stretched into either corner, feet hanging above the ground.

      At first, I think it's a woman, but the scene shifts into someone I'm pretty convinced is Walms. At this point, Walms is down from the arch, probably having escaped the bonds (or rescued someone else from them). I have to hurry if I want to catch up to him.

      I look down at the uneven ground and sigh. I don't suppose this will count as a skyscraper? But no. Maybe I'll do the flower thing later. I throw myself off the building, feel my speed building -

      Pause, as I consider where to land.

      Full-speed, I crash into the remains of the entrance, numbly feeling my ankle bend at an impossible angle. I stand up, feeling no pain, and head east toward the blurry archway.

      There's no one here, unfortunately. I sigh, and look beyond the arch. There's a whole bunch of people milling around on the lawn beyond it, so I consider trying the flower task. I pick up a flowering piece of the clover weed that runs rampant around Ixburg, and scan the area for someone my age - most of the people here are elderly.

      I focus on the piece of clover in my hand and it turns into a violet. The colours shift and blur and it becomes a rageddy, fushia thing. The flower shifts into a perfect bunch of green and I concentrate, pulling a pink rose-bud from the centre.

      I spot a woman my age exiting the Quickton college. She couldn't be a supermodel, but she has long, blonde hair, and something else draws me to her. I hand her the rose, smiling. "This is for you," I say, and turn away.

      "Wait!" she says. She looks like she's about to say something important. "Are you Israel."

      I don't know what she means, and I answer honestly. "I don't know." I say, and walk away.

      I'm play fighting with a dog, probably a Great Dane. I realize that I'm losing lucidity, so I concentrate and RC and start saying, "I'm lucid."

      Everything is blurry as I walk into a building and do a hand RC. I can see all five fingers, but they're all attached between the index and middle knuckles. I see a guard, and -

      People are talking about animals in pairs. Apparently, there are two such animals that signify love. What about dogs, I want to ask snidely, but I'm not actually there. Jackson thinks the sign might apply to him, but O-Neill scoffs and starts making fun of him.

      FA, I scramble for my dream journal, but there's a bunch of different notebooks beside my bed and I can't find the right one. I'm lying on the bed when I realize that I'm dreaming. I push into the waking world (for the first time) so I don't forget the dream.

      Two groups are transported to a dark and scary place, lit up with a lot of orange. The cobblestone streets are coming loose in places, and stone structures are crumbling.

      The group that arrives ahead of us are poachers. There are four or five of them and three or four of us. We appear practically on top of them, which is Not A Good Thing, because we're rivals/enemies/nemeses of each other.

      We start to spot tiny little insects, looking like the drops of water in the first scene of Avatar (guess what movie I finally saw last week). They're bees. Honey-bees, to be precise. The bear-man in the other group freaks out and runs down a stone flight of steps, batting at the bees as he goes. I get the feeling that he's heading toward the hive.


      Run, you fools! They're trying to kill you!

      The bear-man in our group (symmetry, I suppose) suggests that we run. Quietly. In the other direction.

      shift

      I'm in the apartment in Ixburg. I'm still trying to get away from the bees, but at this point I know I'm dreaming. The goal of the dream is to get to another floor, either up or down, and the stairs would be too easy. I move away from the door, toward the master bedroom, remembering my attempts to reach an attic through a closet in a previous dream (#49: Misogynists, Scientists, Doctors, Little Girls, Monsters, and Faeries).


      Still gonna kill you.

      There's a second exit from the apartment, leading down a hallway we used for storage. I pause as I move to pass it, and decide this would be a good time to practice "Open A Door, Create A Portal". I don't really want to leave this dream, for, say, the moon, but I decide to open it up for practice anyway. I concentrate on what I'd see if I made it to the moon (the image has a moon in the sky, oops) and push the door open.

      The hallway has become a steep flight of steps leading two floors down. I'm thrilled, because regardless of my intent, this is exactly what I wanted. I fling myself down the stairs, not worried about the landing, because I'm well aware that there won't be any impact. At this point, I'm quickly moving through the building by skipping the stairs entirely. I peer down each level and jump as far as I can. At one point, I take care to concentrate entirely on the feeling of falling - as if the bottom is dropping out of my stomach. It's horrifying - and absolutely brilliant.

      I think back to something I said yesterday, that my falling dreams usually end with me bouncing off the ground. That's not quite accurate, I decide. It's more like I've jumped a foot into the air and landed toe, ball, heel.


      Or maybe it was like this!

      Nope, totally grounded.


      The actual building this dream is based on has four floors, including the basement. I must have extended this by several stories, as I lost track of the time that I played on the stairs. Finally, I reach the basement.

      I look around and down the hallway, marvelling over how real all this feels. I feel more awake right now than I usually do while I'm conscious.

      There are railings criss-crossing throughout the basement. I remember the April dreaming task (last chance!). Stand on your head, right? I go to a place where the railings meet at a 90 degree angle. I grip the railings, and pull myself up into a handstand.

      I can feel the burn in my arms. Balancing isn't a problem, but I have to work to support myself in that position. Letting out a huff of exultation, I lower myself gracefully to the ground, grinning all the while.


      Because I can't do this in real life. Yet.

      The advanced task reads "Stand on your head", literally. I concentrate on the shadows cast by the light source behind me, put my fingers over my temples and under my jaw, and gently pull away from me and downward.

      From a first person POV, I'm watching the shadows intently, seeing the shape of my head separated from my body. Suddenly, I'm brought back to the starting position. I concentrate on my reflection in a dusty mirror, and repeat the process, slowly. I see my only my silhouette. I bend my knees and try to place my head on the floor, only to find myself in a sitting position, legs bent outward, stretching toward the floor.


      I'm still in the basement. My mom is folding laundry, and there are piles of clothes all over the place. I see a pink or blue t-shirt, apparently my mom's, that reads "Slytherin Mom". I start telling her about the dream I just had.

      I "wake up" in my room at my parents' house. I write down my dreams for the night. I check my alarm clock, but I'm too tired to do the RC properly. I'm annoyed by my mom, because she keeps popping into the room while I'm trying to sleep.

      I'm chatting with some people in an imaginary gay bar. A girl tells me I ought to come out more. No pun intended.

      I'm doing dishes via telekinesis. The mice from Cinderella will be disappointed that they didn't get to help, but they did the dishes in the last dream. Which means they haven't done the dishes in this dream. Which means I'll still have to do the dishes when I wake up.

      I bring garbage out to the dumpster behind the shed. I'm Alice in Wonderland. After falling down the rabbit hole, I meet my character's worst enemy.

    6. #14. Voices Trying to Limit Your Dream Control

      Go to the moon was kind of my madness mantra last night. Attempted to remember that I wanted to do this.



      I'm in the basement of a building my grandparents used to own. In the dream, it had been extensively remodeled since then. I try to apply the actual blueprints to the dreamscape, but it's too confusing. I hear newborn kittens. I see a few heads of bread-mice scattered around. The mice here are made of bread. I pick up a half-eaten copy of a book by Neil Gaiman, and decide that this is all his fault somehow.

      Shift.

      I'm in a love story, switching between two of the three main characters' points of view. I leave down the stream with the guy who's not me? This is confusing.

      Shift.

      I'm in a forest, hearing a Voice that gives me instructions. I'm happily running through, surrounded by green, green grass and trees, when I come to a stream. I jump straight over it, but land awkwardly on the other side, not having gone as far as I thought I would.

      Water saps your power away, The Voice explains, That makes rivers difficult to cross.

      I'm frustrated, because dreams should be doing whatever I tell them to, but the dream-logic makes sense for now. I consider another, wider, river nearby.

      I'm near where the forest was, but now I'm surrounded by stone: banisters and stairways and what could make for some very fun parkour sequences. I glide up onto the banister, ready to jump, when I suddenly realize that because this is a dream, I really can go anywhere.

      Go to the moon.

      Oh, yeah, I was gonna try to do that tonight. I hop off the banister, landing easily on the stone floor. I hold a hand out as I had visualized, feeling through the dream-fabric. I feel and hear a buzzing, and watch in amazement as the dream within stone building abruptly disintegrates, leaving only the night sky. I look down, fully aware that I made it and I'm on the moon and -

      Too much surprise.

      I'm lying face down on the bed, just like when I last went to sleep. Everything is dark and I keep my eyes shut, trying for another shot at the dream. I feel plastic beneath my hands*, but I aim to kneel down and feel the moon rocks that must be at my feet.


      Shift.

      "How the hell are we going to stop that thing?"

      "I'll take care of it."

      "How?"

      "I'll take care of it."

      I'm using a fellow officer as bait, but I don't have any strong feelings on the matter. The monster is approaching from down the hallway, turning a corner toward me. It spots me, and I retreat into the room, leaving the door open behind me. I'm standing just around a corner, out of sight from the door. The monster steps into the room, and spots the injured officer lying on the bed.
      I remind myself that this is a dream and I will be able to do this.

      The monster rounds the corner, snarling, and I grab it by the scruff of the neck and somewhere along the back (it might have been wearing clothes) and I throw it - hard - toward the window. It goes flying as if it weighed a pound, crashing either through the mirrored door of the closet and the wall behind it. It didn't land as if it weighed a pound.

      I'm outside, on the red, ceramic tile rooftops, no longer worried about the monster. I consider taking another shot at getting to the moon. I hold up another hand, trying to feel the dream fabric. I little bit of deep blue bleeds through where my hand is. I put up the other hand, trying to force myself through. It doesn't work. New method.

      I'm standing at the edge of a rooftop, unable to see into the abyss that lies before me. I jump, only concerned that this might make me wake up. I land. Without looking, I can tell I'm still in the same dream-scape, so I jump again.

      This time I fall and fall and fall, visualizing the black tower that Nomad described. I land, easily, and I can tell that I am, in fact, on the top of a black tower. When I open my eyes, though, I consider that this might not have been the one I was looking for. This one is only three or four stories high, and it's surrounded by brick buildings on all sides. A watchtower. I sigh.

      I hop down onto the dirt and paving stones, and look around at the DCs in the area. There's a cute blonde with long, wavy hair, chatting with some friends at the edge of the courtyard. I consider that I might be half in the moon-dream somehow and these might be real people, but I dismiss the thought as unlikely and walk toward the girls.

      I step through her friends, smiling at the blonde girl and holding out a hand. She takes it, and I spin her around and kiss her. Oddly, I have the sudden ability to smell and taste (morning breath) and I quickly block it out.
      And suddenly I'm playing a game of the Sims, and there are a bunch of options on the screen. Now I'm talking to family members on the other side of the courtyard and looking for the girl so I can actually talk to her?

      Voices Trying to Limit Your Dream-Control. Scare Factor: 2. Though the bread-mice were somehow creepy.

      *So very much a false awakening.
    7. #3. The Other Mother

      It's been a long night. I'm standing in a creepy, unfinished basement and a group of college student survivalists have been spouting horror movie cliches at every opportunity.

      "You can't touch the jelly sandwich," the de-facto leader explains. "It keeps all the other food good. Do you understand?"

      "Perfectly," I say cheerily. I'm stealing from Spongebob Squarepants' logic. "Makes sense."

      "No," he says, with a long-suffering sigh, "It really, really doesn't." He wanders away, morosely, muttering about crazy people. I briefly consider being a character that this guy is dreaming.

      I go looking for food. I sit in the kitchen with my mom, even if she is upset about the potted plant sitting in the corner that looks like a tiger lily and is apparently called a "papyrus". At this point, I begin to tell her about the metaphors and symbolism in our current environment.

      "The jellybean sandwich in the storage room is, apparently, there to keep all the other food from going bad, and the 'papyrus' is there because... you have really bad taste in fonts in real life."

      "In real life?"

      "Well, obviously this is a dream."

      "You think so?"

      "If it's not, tell me where these objects," I gesture at the flower, "Are located in your real house. Everything keeps shifting here."

      The woman sitting across the table from me looks down, fighting to keep a grin off her face. She starts to laugh, and then to cackle madly. Shift. I'm standing near the door and she faces me from a few feet away. Her empty eye sockets are stuffed with bandages.

      "Let me guess," I say, "You're my Other Mother."

      She doesn't reply, but steps toward me. I wind back my left hand for a punch, but I'm moving
      so slowly.

      The woman is moving in real time, and she takes another step, relaxed and confident. The punch doesn't connect. As she reaches for my throat, I desperately dig my fingers into her eye-sockets. There are teeth.

      Everything is going black, facial features are twisting, and the only thing I can distinguish anymore is pain.


      Shift.

      I'm sitting on a deck, petting a stray cat that's wandered into the yard. Can I wake up now?

      Shift.

      "That rice is leftover from last night. And it's in front," Oma says helpfully, as I rummage through her fridge. I blink.

      "Really?" I say, holding the plastic container. "You want me to eat this? Specifically?" I poke at the overabundance of soy sauce with a spoon. "I'm still dreaming, aren't I?"

      I remember waking up in my bed, my heart pounding. I figure i had a nightmare i couldnt remember or something so i got out of bed and walked out my door and down the stairs to the main level. This is when i had a feeling it wasnt real, like some sort of trick but i didnt know i was dreaming yet. "John! Come over here now!" I was shocked, the fact that my mom was scared of me, i tried to calm her down, in my sort of spaz way(well, come on i try)" Mom your acting strange, and im not soupossed to be home yet, did i get in a accident at school or something?" Thats when my dad came storming in the room, his face red with anger, and took a knife and hit me in the chest with it, i started freaking out then. After i looked at him, then at my chest, then finnaly thought if i was in shock not to feel anything yet i passed out. I awoke in a hallway, my old schools hallway, and their was a guy infront of me, i looked down at my stomach in shock, i was cut in half, then it hit me. " Oh my god, im such an idiot right man?" As i looked at him i made him leave, and i made myself in a plane i then relized i could jump out of it, then do what ever i wanted. "Hey all you skydivers, think if i throw you out the window you would mind"

      "Urr i dont know, Duh we would mind, god all the new ones are trying to make dumb jokes to comfort them selves.."

      "Shut up" i hissed over at him

      "Make me"

      With this i thought of what i could do, then simply i walked up to him. With a swift punch in the face, his head was plowed in. I walked off smiling and jumped off the plane


      Half way down i tried flying, and i couldnt. with that i woke up......tada....i dont think i made a good summary with that eh?

Since I am so tired and dazed I notice the Pre-Sleep Paralysis feeling coming over me (Really Light Headed and Tired). I try and let it take me and I have control over my breathing. Then eventually I fall into SP I then try to WILD and sure enough I step right into a Lucid Lucid Dream that I am in my bed! (again) but my. My room walls from from the blackness of SP I then sit up and see mom across the hall sleeping and I hear dad to the left of me snoring. I Rub my hands together furiously and say "I WANT MORE CLARITY NOW!" repeatedly and then
      I say it in real life in the dream because I was doing it so hard. And I wake mom and dad up. Mom said "Want a [???]" From her bed to me and then shortly after Dad did the same thing...

      I don't know what they mumbled to me but I know it was the same thing!

      Let me clear this up. It was a double dream. I was really asleep the whole duration of this dream. When I said I said it in real life in the dream that means I said it in my dream real life. Asleep > Dreamt I was awake > went into SP > Lucid Lucid Dreamt I was awake...

      First Totally Stable Lucid (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

      I fell asleep in the late afternoon after having a shower and listening to my ipod for about an hour. I didn't attempt to WILD, in fact I didn't even intend to fall asleep.

      I know there was a dream which led me to becoming lucid, but I can't remember what it was. Recall isn't the best today. The first moment of lucidity I can recall was me sitting in the passenger seat of my mum's car (purple Renault Megane). My mum was driving, and somebody else was definately there, but I have no idea who it was, never turned round to look. We were in a multi-story car park (Castlecourt car park, for anyone in Northern Ireland!) As soon as I realised I had finally achieved being independantly aware in a dream, everything started to fade out. I remembered reading on the DV forums that a good way to stabilise a dream and increase vividness is to handle and feel an object, get your senses involved. I quickly glanced around the car's dashboard and could see nothing. I noticed the car's radio, and desperately pressed the "tape eject" button. To my enormous relief, a gray tape popped out, and I turned it over in my hands for about 30 seconds, keeping me in the dream.

      The most amazing thing about this was that it was a conscious decision to slowly lift and move my arm to the button. I could feel my arm muscles working and all the while I was thinking, "This is amazing, it's like I'm in another dimension, and completely asleep!"
      I felt like it took a bit of mental acrobatics to seperate my awareness of my actual body from my dream body, and moving my arm consciously was slow, like learning to walk.

      The radio then activated itself and "Back in the U.S.S.R." by The Beatles came on. Strangely, this was the very first song (of about 25) I listened to in my ipod session earlier, but it put me in a really positive mood. My mum started to drive towards the barrier at the exit and started talking. Then I saw she had the head of my 14-year-old brother and was talking in his voice. I wasn't having him driving the car! I rotated his head 90 degrees round to me by grabbing its top. I looked at him and shook my head in exasperation at the weirdness that was invading this previously normal situation. I entertained myself by singing along to "Back in the U.S.S.R." and bobbing my head in time.

      I had the first of several false awakenings here.
      I only realised they were false awakenings when I woke up for real at the end- I was then surprised to be sleeping in a different place than I expected from my false awakenings.

      Where I woke up was weird indeed. It was a dingy, underground, but well-lit basement. The bed I was in was slightly above the level of the floor, and there was a kind of computer terminal on the rusty platform beside it. The computer terminal was playing the same Beatles song. I thought I had woken up for real (Weird how the brain makes unfamiliar places seem familiar just to trick you into thinking you've woken up, creating a bizzare dream-within-a-dream scenario.) Another of my brothers was walking around the huge basement room talking to someone round the corner. Since I was still in a deep state of relaxation (in this first layer of dreaming), I was able to fall right back into the same dream. (second layer) This time nothing happened at all and I just listened to the music for a bit, happy that I'd managed to get back in.

      I experienced another false awakening, but this time I had my head under the covers in a totally different position. I wondered, "Should I have been able to have moved in my sleep? Should sleep paralysis not have stopped me?" My brother was still walking around talking belligerantly, and the music was blasting now. I got up, and ate a cake. Yes, straight out of the blue. There was a cake sitting beside the computer teminal. It was small, only about 6 inches across and was full of jam, really sticky. It was absolutely delicious. Best cake ever. Part of me thought "I'm never getting back to sleep", but I decided I would be able to if I had been dreaming that I was dreaming. i.e. loud things in dreams would not stop you sleeping in dreams. Turns out I was right and I went to sleep almost right away.

      This time I went to find a girl I remembered from a non-lucid dream I had earlier. She was blonde and awesome, but of course, completely made up. I'll censor the next few minutes for the sake of decency! Unfortunately, I decided NOT to have full sex with her because I was genuinely worried I would start sleep-thrusting in my bed, and that could be embarrassing if anyone walked in... (I remembered that my real bedroom door had been left slightly open)
      By the way, any readers of this, does that happen??? I'm pretty anxious to know!!

      I had yet another false awakening to the basement room. I must have been nearly ready to wake up for real here because I had occasional flashes of awareness of my own body in bed. Once, I could really feel the numbness of sleep paralysis. To try and anchor myself in the dream-world and avoid unneccessary waking, I climbed around the edges of my dream-bed (which bacame extremely long suddenly :S), feeling the wood which made up the frame very carefully. Not long before I woke up, I opened my real eyes, and I could see an image of my wall on top of what I could see in the dream, which was pretty crazy.

      Can't wait for the next one!

      So, I had my first false awakening that I've ever remembered last night, but I didn't realise and was kicking myself afterwards.

      I awoke -- or rather I got out of bed following a seemingly failed WBTB WILD attempt -- and went down stairs. I ate breakfast in the lounge with my family. I was annoyed with myself that I couldn't get comfortable when trying my WBTB. I sat watching TV, not doing much. I looked at the clock and saw it was 35 minutes past my usual waking time. Then I awoke for real.

      I was having trouble trying to get comfortable when I returned to bed for the WBTB. It would seem I fell asleep without realising and just kind of kept going logically in my dream. I've never experienced a false awakening or anything similar before, at least not that I can remember. The time in the dream was 35 minutes later than when I would usually get up, which I should have caught since my WBTB time is obviously earlier than that. I really need to be more diligent in doing RCs whenever I wake up or leave my bed for any reason.

      On a side note, I've had no recall over the previous two nights. I really must get back on track with it. I wonder if stress affects recall? Super stressed lately.

I was going through all those rooms, finding people that in real life I need to talk to, accomplishing business with them, and then moving on to the next person. Suddenly, I realized something. "What the heck? Where'd these headphones come from? I didn't put these on!" And I woke up.

      At least, I thought I did. I was laying in bed, with the headphones still on and all, as it should have been. But I didn't reality check, and I didn't realize it was a false awakening. I just tried to be still and get SP.

      Then I woke up for real, and the headphones were gone. I was like, "Ok, that's weird, I was wearing headphones, and both them and the MP3 player are nowhere. This must be a dream!" So I reality checked and was disappointed to find myself to be awake. That didn't solve the headphone situation, though. I leaned over my bed and found them to be on the floor. When I saw that, I suddenly remembered waking up and for some reason I threw it all off the side of the bed. I wish I knew why I did that!

      But for whatever reason, I ditched the MP3 player, which was supossed to help me become lucid, before it could even play anything, and then had a false awakening in which the presence of the MP3 player made me think it was real and not go lucid!

      Figure that one out...

      I was zipped away then to a false awakening. The thought of reality checking crossed my mind, but unfortunately, I simply thought back "I already did!" I got down out of bed and there were several parksabers.com lightsabers on the floor. They too were part of the previous mish-mash of a dream I had just had. All over the place my mind started posing questions. "How do you know you're not dreaming? What about this is real?" but these questions were very quiet and only managed to cause a bright light to blind me momentarily, multiple times, as if my conscious was trying to break through. But the questions never stopped. Eventually, as I practiced with the saber props, I thought, "Well, if these sabers are from my dream, that would make THIS too a..."

      And I awoke, reality checked, and found myself to be really awake.

      Several other instances throughout the dream prompted reality checks, but I either excused them with "I already did, just a second ago!" referring to what I did right before I fell asleep, or the posed questions were too 'quiet', like a small voice desperately trying to make itself heard, but in the end being ignored.

      Oh yes, and my family members were throughout the dream as well.

      I think I'm getting close.

      Dream 1 - Evil Fish

      Type: regular dream (nightmare).

      In this dream, I was initially inside a regular office building. It had white walls, desks, and basically whatever makes up an office building. I was on a mission to find someone, and one other person was working with me, although I wasn't sure who. They were on the lower floor, skimming the ground level to find who we were looking for. There was a large square opened up in the wall of the building, which I jumped out of. I landed on the top of another building, slightly lower than where I jumped from. There were three or four other buildings beside this one arranged in a cluster, close enough to jump from one to the other, and I did this, looking for a way down since I didn't find the person up here. I found a rope which I slid down the side of the building, but didn't burn my hands in the process. At the bottom, there was another hole, in the wall of the building I just slid down from, and it was dark inside. Nothing.

      I felt foreboding emanating from the hole, so I tried to walk past it quickly. As soon as I stepped in front of it, two demon-like fish creatures, one pale maroon and one steel blue, shot out and killed me. I remembered seeing their extremely long, sharp teeth, but didn't feel anything as they ripped me apart. I watched in third-person which was a pretty horrifying experience.



      Dream 2 - False Awakening

      I woke up from this nightmare, or so I thought.

      My eyes were closed, but I was staring into a blurry sea of turquoise and mint green. I knew I was dreaming, not only because of this, but because I felt funny, almost numb. I opened my eyes and realized that I was lying down on a solid wooden bench, like something a 5-year old had carved out from a block of wood. Maybe the dream changed the location because I already knew I was dreaming, and wouldn't believe the false awakening.

      I was in an almost rainforest-like setting, but it was less realistic in color. There were many pink plants and violet leaves, which was intriguing but at the same time, uninteresting. I got up and saw a path to the left. It was purely dirt with a few small grey stones embedded, reminding me of the film Alice in Wonderland that I had watched the other day.


      The dream faded.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

      Every night and every morning when I wake up and remember a dream I type in some notices in my mobile phone.


      I dreamed
      that I woke up and I wanted to do or check something on my mobile. The mobiles writingprogram was still open and I even saw the notices of my last dream (Tweeterman in school). Accidentally I closed the program without saving the text. I was pissed off. I opened it again and went back to sleep.
