Memorable Dreams
When I was a lot younger (about 4 or 5) I used to have a lot of dreams that reoccurred unbelievably often and were so vivid and memorable that I still remember them very well to this day so I thought I'd share them with you guys This one is about one of my favourite childhood hobbies: riding my bike! The dream began with me riding around a dirt track with other riders, but I don't know who they were even though they had no helmets on, I suppose I just didn't pay attention to them when I had this dream. The track looked like a track for actual motocross bikes with engines and, although we were only riding pedal bikes, we went as fast as motocross bikes without much effort. The 'climax' of the dream I suppose happened when the riders in the race undertook a huge jump from a ramp. I still remember the run of the track up to the jump (random input here: it's quite coincidental that at this point my profile picture is me on a motorbike ) The track was straight until a sharp right which we always flew around easily, then a few humps which were also easily navigated, then a steep hill climb with a sharp left at the top and a huge, steep downhill with an upward flick and sheer drop at the end. The end of this steep downhill run was framed by a metal gateway covered in posters advertising biking companies (even though I didn't know any), similar to what you'd see on a motocross track. As I navigated the run up to the jump, I could always see the people in front launching off this ramp and literally flying. Also, the drop at the end of the ramp was huge, the air was massive. Once I reached the top of the downhill, I always bombed down it as fast as I could go, which was considerably speedy with dream-powered legs Then I launched of the ramp and got that churning clenching feeling in my gut that you always feel when you are falling or you drop unexpectedly or even if you are walking upstairs in the dark and think there is one more step than there actually is and your foot falls through the air without meeting resistance. I'm sure you know what I'm getting out, pretty much everyone will have experienced what I mean. Anyway, this feeling was so strong in the dream as I plummeted from the ramp. I don't know why but I think you were supposed to fly at the end of the ramp and every time I didn't, I just dropped like that. At this point I would always wake up feeling exhilarated and pumped with adrenaline but most of all terrified. Hope you enjoyed my description of my dream, I think I'll post a couple more so check them out too if you've the time. Cheers
Well I think I found out the hard way that when you work out every day and don't eat enough... your body has a nasty way of telling you. I planned on using the new technique again last night, however instead of having vivid dreams that I became lucid in, I just had tons of scattered fragments that I didn't even bother recording. After that I even slept through my wake up alarm at 8:00 and slept until 9:30! Either way, I gotta eat a little more in the evenings I guess, cause just an apple for dinner isn't cutting it. Anyways, here are the dreams from when I first tried the new technique... #1 - I was in history class, and the teacher got up and reminded us all of the assignment that was due that day that we were supposed to do o ver the weekend. I had forgotten to do it obviously (since it's summer!) and I started reasoning with myself why was I even in school during summer vacation? I then rememebered the exact date and was like "I'm DREAMING"! Soon after that I got up and started walking around the classroom. I was focusing on just staying in the dream and not letting the rest of the class distract me and lose lucidity (like my DC's usually do). I then gave them all A's on thier papers cause I was in charge now that it was MY dream, and let them all go outside, away from me. Then after my victory I got woken up anyways by my mom cooking breakfast. -_- #2 - As soon as I woke up though, I just went right back to sleep and re-entered the same dream. The room was a little different, but now there was a clock in there. I looked at this clock, and it was 8:00. I then looked away, and looked back for a reality check, and boom! 8:15 I then knew I was dreaming. Soon after another teacher entered and left a cell phone on a desk. I grabbed it and gave it back to her, saying she forgot it, but she just said it was her husband's and he wanted it left ther for some reason. Soon after though, I got woken up again by some sound from the kitchen. #3 - I re-entered the dream and then looked at this same clock again. It worked like a charm, and I became lucid again. At this point I decided ti was tome to work on dream goals. I went and sat in the corner and focused. However, I got woken up again. Grr... #4 - I was then in my room. I remember walking out the door and seeing the box for my Genesis. The box art kept changing and I knew I was dreaming. After this I went to the back porch to get outside and work on my dream goals. Woke up again though from breakfast being made. #5 - Finally though, I re-entered this dream and was now standing on the back porch at my house. I remember watching all these cars going by, just like normal life. It was so life-like I wasn't sure if I was actually dreaming, but it was re-affirmed when some random person on a bicycle came by, tipped over, then just randomly kinda floated back upright and continued on. This strange occurrence assured me I was dreaming, and I wouldn't look like a fool trying to spin in circles and change the dream scene. However, I apparently don't have much experience changing the dream scene, as it didn't work and I just fell on my butt I then just sat for a minute and stabalized the dream. I then tried commanding the dream to change scenes, but right as I was doing this I got woken up again! Well, I guess I only had 5 dreams But still, it was pretty awesome! I'm gonna eat more for dinner tonight so I have energy in the morning adn try this technique again! Can't wait!!! See ya
Yep, you heard that right, I had 6 lucid dreams last night! They all seemed sorta chained together but eh, I was awake between each one so I call it 6! Since it's getting late and I haven't had much time to record these on DV yet, I will do that tomorrow. But here is the technique I used to achieve this.. So last night I was reading about lucid dreaming and I came across this thing called the napping technique. It is really similar to a WILD except you stay up for a long time in between waking up and going back to sleep. What I did was go to bed around 11:30. Then I set my alarm clock to get me up at 5:30. From this point I made myself stay awake for the next hour. I read out of my lucid dreaming book during this time to keep myself focused on dreams. When I first went back to bed, I remember having a non lucid for a second, then waking back up and realizing it. (or maybe I didn't wake up? I can't remember) Anyways, after this dream, my thinking during my dreams was VERY logical. Without giving away the first dream that started it, basically I was questioning why I was back in school, when it was June 3? (yes I remembered the exact date) Anyways, from there I became lucid. I kept waking up for some reason though during these dreams, but I was easily able to chain them together using a clock that was located in the room in the dream world. By then end I had had 6 dreams, and was VERY, VERY close to FINALLY meeting that individual I have been trying to for soooooo loooooong now. Anyways, I found this technique to be the best thing since sliced bread, since it produced 6 lucids the first try. I'll log the dreams tomorrow, and hopefully alongside even more from tonight! See ya
Total sleep time: 7 hrs Early dreamlet: A guy tells me that whenever cheese is involved he is also there? Dream1 DILD after WBTB: Me and bf are queuing to enquire about financial help. A DC woman is behind me and she disapproves of me being there. The scene transforms and we are on some kind of platform that is taking us someplace. I see a strange theme park that reminds me of the island Pinocchio went to. We arrive at the destination, the DC woman is still behind me, I feel her body press on me, so I decide to sit on the platform’s stone steps. I look where we have arrived. This is something like a prison that a sect has, and they keep girls with strange clothes there. I enter the place and it turns into an ordinary apartment. I look around and it feels familiar, as if I had been here before. In the first room I see a girl that is kept there and she is clearly sad about her fate. She is naked and I feel her silky skin, and then hug her to console her. She is very thin and I cannot tell her back from her front, it actually gets distorted but I think it is because she is skinny and I tell her that…I move on. There is no one in the apartment and that gives me a strange feeling. Soon I discover another room where a girl is kept. This time it is an extremely dangerous girl. I try to peek through the keyhole but there is some metal in it. Of course, the door to this dangerous girl is not locked, so she starts moving the door trying to escape, while I am trying to close the door. She is stronger than me so she manages to escape and I face her. She is outright scary, because she is a vampire. Some game-like status bar that looks like a play paper card is there. I understand that I won’t be able to fight her, so decide to flee. I leave the apartment as fast as I can, and as I get to the stairs I run into Brendan Hines, who I recognize in the dream as a friend of mine and not the actor. I tell him we should get out of there and glide/jump on the handrails as fast as I can. We leave the building and I am on the street lucid. My first thought is that I don’t need to run away any more, but just to be on the safe side, I decide to increase the distance between me and the vampire girl, so I fly forward a bit. I am very happy that this guy (Brendan) is here and have some strange memory that this is the second time I am dreaming him? I want to use him as a partner during the lucid. I remember 3 of the TOTM (although I decided yesterday to do only two this month), and have a great clarity of mind. This worries me because I feel that this is end of the REM and I am going to wake up soon, so I go to do the tasks. I approach Brendan, but he has transformed into some ugly older dude, who is being engaged by two other DCs on a bench. That irritates me and I try to get his attention, with little success. I notice a small puddle on the floor and decide to look at my image there. At the same time, while walking towards the puddle I consider if I should take my clothes off, and I stretch my T-shirt a bit. I think that not being able to see for a while will disconnect me from the dream, so I abandon the task and concentrate on my image in the water. I am pleasantly surprised to see that it is actually me there, looking quite nice, and smiling. Normal clothes and hair. It seems that I am talking as I am thinking this because as I do, I see the image’s mouth move exactly in accordance with my thoughts/words. I find this fascinating, but soon I feel my real lips moving and I am back in my bed. I am on my right side, eyes closed and decide to risk and go for a DEILD. I wait quite a while and nothing happens, I am quite awake so decide to go to the restroom and take some key notes. I then go back with the intention of falling asleep and having another lucid. (Yes, that greed!) As is usually the case with me, this doesn’t work too well, so I spend about 50 mins doing all kinds of stuff trying to fall asleep. I got very sceptical about having another ld towards the end of this insomnia chunk and began contemplating whether I should get up and do something more productive, but I finally fell asleep. Dreamlet: some plant leaves Dream2 DILD: I am in what initially looks like my parents place and there is a rat-like creature on the floor. It is white, and has no eyes, so a bit creepy. It later becomes three smaller creatures. There was some kind of story about these but it is hard to remember. We also own some creature in my mind a horse, but then a dog/creature steals our horse and runs down the building. This is my grandma’s place for a while. I chase the dog to get back whatever is ours, which turns into my new handbag from real life. This person/entity goes down some stairs which lead into the underworld. It is scary. The underworld entrance is a subway station, where the escalators don’t work, so there is no turning back. I consider checking whether the elevator works but enter in a restroom instead. There are two people making out there, I chase them away. I look in front of me, and become lucid. Once again my brain is working full power. There is a mirror just in front of me, so I take advantage of the opportunity and check my appearance. My hair is a bit darker and my image makes grimaces. I think that I don’t want to be stuck here too long to avoid waking up, so I leave the restroom. The station is still there, and I want to talk gibberish to a DC, so I turn to a DC guy and say the sentence “I am talking gibberish”, but muffle the sound so it becomes something like “Mmm tokah gee-ummmsh” and look for his reaction. He doesn’t seem to understand what I am saying and I am disappointed with his reaction, so I repeat it two more times. He shyly smiles and looks away. Ah, he’s shy, I conclude, satisfied with the result. Then I decide to go with the next task, get naked. I look around and proudly announce to the surrounding DCs “I am going to get naked!” and watch faces of dismay. I concentrate on taking my clothes off, but it seems I have two layers, one fitting really tight. As I struggle to take them off, the dream fades away and I am back in bed, left side this time.

Last night I dreamt that I was in an apartment that belonged to me. I had a couple of friends over and we were all playing video games in my room on a flatscreen. Everyone was huddled around my bed which took up a lot of space. The walls and carpets were brown and light brown but there was no art anywhere in the apartment. I was quite large though. After hanging around in my room for a while a friend of mine's (who wasn't present) ex girlfriend showed up and sat next to me after we had migrated to the living room. She was very handsy and so I joined in by 'dancing my fingers on her thigh'. This was when I remembered that it might be pretty uncool of me if I flirted with my homies ex... What was she doing here anyway? And where did everybody go? I Must be dreaming! I looked her in the eyes for a few seconds, gave her a kiss on the cheek then went back to my "room". I laughed to myself because now there was art on the wall. A simple painting of a countryside and the sky. I levitated above my bed for a little while but then I dropped slowly into it and woke up.
It's short, it's single, and it's not Tyrion Lannister, but I believe it's complete. 2013-06-03 There was a new game out. Suddenly I was in the game. I was on top of a huge mountain of snow with two others. I took a rope and swung over the edge to find that the top was supported by a thin column and the others jumped off while I swung back and forth a few times, aiming for a ledge, but ended up going down farther each time and landed safely on the ground. There was a baseball diamond with kids running around in front of me and when I looked back, the mountain was a small pile of melted snow.
Alright. First off, I'd just like to say that these titles are getting progressively more ridiculous, and that I am well aware of the fact. However, they're actually pretty accurate. This dream was a type of battle royale dream and Sawyer was in it as well. Why have I been dreaming about so many male celebrities recently? I don't know. I swear to God I'm not trying. But think about it. So far, I have had Tom Cruise and Josh Holloway ( I saw Sawyer because it looked like his clothes were dirty and all the other fashion that takes place on a nearly deserted island). Ok. Let's go on with the actual dream. Now I'm going to completely change topics and start with what I assume has to actually be before the battle royal part of the dream, but on the other hand that's impossible because I remember waking up during the battle royale part, so I must assume that it was before. Anyway, I see what is Lupin in the hallway, from the Harry Potter series ( wtf, celebrities, what are you doing in my dreams?), technically he's called David Thewlis, kneeling over what I think is a carriage containing a baby Harry Potter. At first he's talking to it like he's trying to help it, but then he starts getting angry at it saying stuff like " It was you! " and " You did it, didn't you? " In the meantime I'm watching this from out the bathroom door and uh, pretty confused at that point because it's not every day that you see Lupin getting mad at baby Harry Potter outside your bathroom in the hallway. Anyways, I watch him a bit and then something happens. Now, I don't know If I lit the carriage on fire or Lupin did. Anyway, Lupin left lighting or not setting fire to the carriage. I came out there and tried to stop the flames by fanning air on the carriage. Just like in real life, this never really works, and the only thing it did was make it worse. So I run back to the bathroom and get I think a handful of water, cupping it in my hands, and throw it on top of the carriage, and it goes out. I take it and put it in the bathroom and keep putting more water on it, and while doing this suddenly I hear my parents from downstairs. I get worried because I think they'll be angry at me for the battle royale that just happened, and also because they got my report card, yeah, pretty cliche I know, which had one grade on it that was not so good. So anyway I'm in the bathroom and I think my dad calls me down, he calls someone downstairs anyway and there I am in the bathroom trying to put out the carriage of baby Harry Potter. Jesus. Another thing, I realize that if I was worried that my parents would be angry at the sort of battle royale than that means that this dream must have occurred after that already happened, right? But . . . ah, what the hell. Let's get onto the interesting part. Myself, Sawyer, and a couple of my friends, I remember in particular JC ( not Jesus Christ, if you were wondering ) and possibly JL, were in the front yard side of the house part by the patio. We were there and I just remember that all of a sudden people started yelling and people started coming after us. At this point this gets really action-packed, and I wish I was lucid during it so I could do the actual fighting ( although, assuming that I wouldn't pussy out, I really need to work on my dream control at the moment). So everybody runs off being chased by somebody. This sort of skinny black man is chasing me, and I'm pleading with him to stop saying stuff like " Come on, stop it man! " and he's still chasing after me. After some of him still running after me, I decide to take my cellphone out of my pocket and throw it right in his damn face. The thing is an Iphone 4, and let me tell you, it made face-smacking history by the contact it made with his face. It stunned him so much that he stumbled aside a little bit, but then began chasing me again. Now, I'm a very fast runner when I want to be and run as a hobby, but for whatever reason in this dream my legs were getting sore and I couldn't run very fast at all. So all of a sudden I kind of turn backward and just elbow or punch him, I don't know what exactly, but he swerves aside and falls on the ground, and I run off. There could have been one more punch thrown in there, but I'm not sure. I run alongside the house past the garage and that area and then reach the front by the grass on the end of the driveway. All of my friends are there and seem to have made it, and I saw Sawyer there just smiling and I think I said something like " Yeah, we made it! ". And I ran in to give him a hug. Now, that might seem like a sort of weird thing to do but you've got to keep in mind that this was a pretty traumatic experience. So I run in for this hug and at the last second, for some reason, I end up just running into his chest. That was a bit awkward, so I say like " Chest bump, hahahahahahaha " and then we actually do chestbump. Now let me ask you by the way, have you ever chestbumped Sawyer in one of your dreams? No? That's what I thought. Then I went over to JL and said something about the whole experience I would assume and she started laughing, probably at me, knowing her. This got me annoyed. I mean, come on, I had just defeated a black man in combat and she's laughing at me? But anyways, I then wandered around I think somewhere around Sawyer again and I can't remember exactly why but I realized I was dreaming and then that I was having a lucid dream. At this point I lifted my hands up to my face to look at them, and did that for a bit. They went sort of grainy, and then I faded out of the dream. In my complete dumbassery I was too stupid to realize that this was the perfect opportunity for a DEILD, or, if that didn't work, a FILD. However, instead I just woke up in bed and started moving around and the light was too bright for trying a WILD. Next time I think I'll be more prepared, tho. Also, I remember something in the dream about a book store, and if I remember more if it throughout the day then I'll come back here and update it. Alright, on to dream locations. Dream LocationsNow I plan to describe in detail two of the locations I have been in dreams so that I might go back there in future dreams, possibly during a DEILD or even FILD, once I get experienced enough to pick my surroundings during them. So, without further ado, let's begin. Sleek Ocean City This was the city in my first dream that was Florida in the dream, but it doesn't look much like the actual Florida so I'm just going to call it this. All of the buildings in this city are white and sleek, some of them tapering up like that building in Dubai that looks sort of like a flame tapering up. The buildings, while modern looking, are not scary or imposing, and there are still normal buildings and trees, probably palm trees, interspersed through the city, as well as patches of forest. I would assume that the ocean must be to the East of the buildings because I think that that is how it was in the dream. I think that that about wraps that all up and is good enough. Canyon Mountain This was also from the first dream. It's pretty much a fairly steep mountain that looks like a canyon further up, and some of it's sides are green. The sky is fairly clear, I think almost completely, and bright blue. Tom Cruise was there originally in the dream but he doesn't always have to be there. The Anchor Command The problem with my lucidity in this dream was that I was only able to keep control of it for a few seconds, which is what usually happens. To stop this, I think I should come up with a command that will hopefully stabilize the dream. When I talked in the dream and said " Enhance " or " Enchance Clarity " or something like that, I actually heard myself talking, which surprised me. However, I really think that I should come up with a better command. I've decided that yelling " ANCHOR! " very loudly while at the same time gaining awareness of all around me, particularly the clearness and clarity of what I'm seeing and the sound, will help with this. This will be the command that will literally anchor me to the dream. I also will make it shoot me up a few feet into the air so from there I can start to fly. I also have to remember, next time, that rubbing your hands together and spinning around also can work, and that in the case that I do exit the dream I can use a DEILD, or, if that doesn't work and I wake up, a FILD, to get back into the dream, because I could have done that last night but forgot! Wow, long entry. That's about it for today!

I am standing in the middle of a prairie. Far off in the distance, I see a downed flying saucer. In an instant, I am standing next to the craft. Then I am looking into the cockpit at the injured pilot. He has a humanoid body frame but instead of flesh and hair, he is covered in scales like a lizard. His face is severely burned and he appears to be close to the end. My dream logic tells me that I cannot take him to a human hospital and I cannot save him myself, so I pull him out of the ship and try to insure that his passing is more comfortable But he doesn't die. He wakes up and tells me that he cannot return to his own kind after such a failure. Being a non-lucid dream, I naturally assume that the best course of action would be to make him my sidekick. We could travel the galaxy in his flying saucer and fight crime, anywhere we were needed most. We would be an unstoppable force for justice in these dark times. He is reluctant to agree. He says that humans will not accept him as he is. I say he's wrong and that I'll prove it to him. I take him to a bar. We take our seats next to a pair of gorgeous young women. I order a drink for myself and my new companion. I ask one of the girls if my friend looks good enough to fight crime. She says " No, his face is burnt and his his eyes are too narrow. His skin is covered in scales and he looks like some kind of monster." My new companion chimes in with a "Hey lady, I am a Reptilian, other than the minor burns on my face, I was born like this!" Now she understands. "Well in that case you'd make an excellent crime fighter." My new companion and I share a high five and our logo imposes itself upon my perception of the dream. I wake up. This is my first DJ entry on Dream Views. I hope that anyone who read it enjoyed it and I hope to post many more exciting and strange adventures in the future. Until Then, Threshold36
Last night's very short dream took place at school. I was talking with Asjea, a black girl, when I said something to her and she said " That's racist, " jokingly. I remember it was something that was not racist at all but can't remember the actual word. For whatever reason I thought that I should teach her a lesson or something and shouted very loudly as well as angrily, " THAT'S NOT RACIST!" She looked very frightened and taken aback and everyone was kind of staring at me, and I kind of awkwardly explained myself that what I was said wasn't racist at all and it was annoying of her to say that. I can't remember if I dreamed anything after this point. Tomorrow, in my next entry, which I hope will be much longer than the past previous ones because tonight I am making attempts to have some lucids with DILD and FILD, I will also add a list of places that I've had dreams in that I would like to go back to, and write detailed descriptions of them so that if I kind of forget them over time I can read them to refresh my memory, for the sleek modern looking city and the desert mountain. That's about it for now! See you next journal!
My son is headed to camp this summer with the scouts and I've decided to accompany them on the bus. I know I don't have enough money to actually participate in the camp but I felt like I should come along just the same. The bus arrives in camp and a sharply-dressed staffer boards the bus to give us the orientation directions. After pointing us in the right direction we all head towards the barracks that will be our home for the next 11 days. I must admit I'm fairly upset that my son has brought a huge radio with him and I'm chastising him since I know it won't receive anything anyway. Besides, we're in the woods and I'm sure people would prefer to hear the sounds of nature versus the boombox he is toting around. Of course, my son protests, and I decide to back off as we enter the main room of the common area. Immediately I realize how weird it will be to have co-ed sleeping quarters but in all honesty that's not important right now. I see that another parent is there with her son and she is getting him ready for his ceremonial swearing-in as the leader of the contingent. I know he's not ready for the position and isn't up for the responsibility but I keep these thoughts to myself. Turning around in the cramped cabin I find my son has placed his radio on a nearby dresser and has turned on the music. To my surprise it is picking up radio stations just fine, but even more surprising is the TV I see mounted to the wall as I look up. I can't believe that we're in this remote location and the camp has hi-def TV. My son starts eating a bag of chips and unloading his stuff from his pack. I call him into the hallway and I'm fed up with his constant eating so I start yelling at him though I'm not really upset so I lower my voice and begin talking to him in a more conversational tone. It's good that I did lower my voice as the raised tones caught the attention of the camp scout-leader and he looked worried. My attention returns to my son and then pauses as he turns to ask some of the scouts entering the room about their snacks, bags of chips and goodies that are loaded up by the armful. "We actually got there at just the right time, "says Kevin, one of the taller and older scouts. "The line was empty when we got there but by the time we were leaving there were fifty people lining up. I'd suggest getting your snacks now while they still have some." I look at my son, knowing he can probably wait, but then I think better of it and just encourage him to head up and get his shacks now. He heads out of the room and I decide to follow him. The main area of the camp is slightly muddy from recent rains and hundreds of pairs of boots tromping through the square. The mud continues up the steep hill that leads to where the scouts are all headed to get their snacks. The hill is grassy and has clearly benefited from recent rains but the boots of the scouts have turned the trail into a slippery and muddy path, despite many flat steps cut into the hill to prevent erosion. I'm especially impressed with how green this part of New Mexico looks and how nice the air is and I'm glad we're far away in a remote area of the state, distant from all the cities and urban areas that plague our home. My thought is barely finished when I come to the top of the hill and I see the distant vista of downtown Baja, New Mexico, the largest city in the state. I nearly gasp seeing the tall buildings and sprawling city laid out before me over the next ridge. My son clearly knew more than I did when he decided to bring the radio on this campout. Even more strange than the view is where the path now leads; We're on top of a parking garage, a muddy trail leading from the hill to the far corner of the cement parking lot. In the corner sits an older man and his friend, two chairs and a white plastic cooler their only equipment. I approach as my son finishes his transaction and I get a brief glimpse at their offerings. Cold beverages fill one side of the cooler and various other snacks sit on the ground at their feet, slightly hidden by the open lid of the cooler. I'm a bit put-off by this sight and I had hoped for better from a camp that could afford to put HDTV in the camper's rooms. It's time to head back to camp and I see one of the other scouts from our troop nearby, also ready to head down. "Let's race!" I call to him and the next thing I know we're both racing down the muddy hillside. I can't believe how fast I can go and after taking a particularly large step I know I'm dreaming. I can see that I'm about to land in a rather muddy spot so I pull up my feet and let my momentum carry me a distance of nearly 25 feet beyond the mud, a great moment of control and satisfaction. I want to wrap up the race in a grand way so I turn sideways and slide down the rest of the slippery hill of mud, a feeling of exhilaration that is as close as I can get without flying. Naturally I win the race. Now that I'm at the bottom I start to take a look around and I find the camp actually lies on the edge of a suburban part of Baja, the tree-lined streets almost giving the impression of some small town in Tennessee. Slightly in front of me and to my left is a old, brick firehouse, now abandoned, and a pair of railroad tracks lies between me and the building. A couple of cars navigate the nearby neighborhood streets. I feel so odd having a camp this close to the neighborhoods of the city. The conveyance is clearly designed to travel on both train tracks and regular roads, overly-complicated with gears and flywheels that make approaching it seem dangerous. I watch as the machine rides the rails around the building and then enters the road on the far side of the building. I take this as my cue to follow the driver and I suddenly find myself in a Chevy Blazer, an older model that is both cramped and over-powered. My daughter is driving and I know she is planning on passing up the strange contraption we are rapidly approaching. My cousin-in-law leans in behind me to tell me that, "Everything will be okay, we can easily pass the machine. This Blazer has a V8 engine and is more than powerful enough to catch it." We pass up the machine and continue along a road that slopes down towards an intersection ahead, though my daughter shows no sign of slowing. I can see the slightly-obscured stop-sign and I yell at her to stop before we hit something. On cue a man appears running across the road, as far from a crosswalk as he could be, his diagonal path on a clear intersection with ours. I brace myself as we hit the man and he goes spinning up and over the hood, though he shows no real sign of injury and continues on his path. "Okay, " I'm thinking, "that was weird." We turn left at the new road and I realize we're heading deeper into the city of Baja, a place I've never been and I can only vaguely picture on my mental map as in the northern part of New Mexico. I still can't believe how green it is, but even that pales in beauty to the snow-capped mountains I see to my left, illustrating how high up we are in elevation. To my right is a wide meadow that is clearly a park used for sports like Frisbee and impromptu games of touch football. The air is warm, perhaps 60F, but there remains a little snow along the edge of the field. Every part of me is marveling at the beauty of this place and I start considering what it would take to move there from Texas. I watch as she leans out of the door and sprawls out over the pavement, her head in one lane and her left arm stretching out into the next lane of traffic. A car is approaching and I pull her arm back quickly to avoid it being in the way of traffic. My pleas to get up go unheeded and I can't believe she would go to this length just so I can look around at the trees and mountains, a scene I know my mind has created but clearly a place I want to explore. Unfortunately I wake up, remembering a location and experience more pleasant than I could possibly describe.
I was sitting in my living room with my brothers when somebody knocked at the door. One of my brothers answered it, and let two people in. One was a police officer, the other was a girl I know. They asked me if they could speak to me privately. We went back outside, and into the backyard. They showed me some notes that they had found a several different crime scenes. They were bizarrely worded and seemed to make no sense at first. Then I realised that it was meant to look like that. I had a friend back in highschool who was a bit crazy, and he wrote stuff like this all the time. I only remember one line, it said something like "The giraffe's neck isn't long enough to reach the back rows." I started guessing the meaning behind the note, and they agreed with my assessment. They asked me to be a paid consultant for their Law Enforcement Agency. I agreed, and I woke up as they were filling me in with the particulars of the case.
All I can remember is that I had gone to this library to use their computers & the librarian was saying to me why can't I use my home computer & I said because I got easily distracted with social networking & would focus better in a library (I assume I was a student). There was only 25 minutes left before it closed & so she let me in and said to get some headphones hanging on the wall. Not sure what significance the headphones were!
I'm standing in my driveway, and my dad is sitting in the front seat of his van. I hear over loudspeakers that the world has been overrun by zombies. I'm told that so long as I don't leave the block I will be safe. One of my dream friends have been zombified, and my dad wants to drive into zombie territory to retrieve her. At first I think this is a terrible idea and want to stay home, but then I decided I should help. I start to get into my own car and realize I've left my sword in my dad's car, so I get my dad's car and ride with him. He ride out into zombie territory, some of the zombies are completely feral, others are human and are nonthreatening, but most of them still speak and act like a human, but attack like a zombie. We slow down for a moment to wait for my zombified friend to arrive. Another zombie comes up to an open window and tells me " you know that's really a terrible position for you to be in, your sword isn't of any use on the inside of the vehicle, you should come out here." and gives me a sly grin. A bunch of zombies start attacking the car, I open the sliding side door and start slashing randomly. My sword is an iaito (unsharpened) so the blade won't do any damage, only the point is sharp, so my cuts only make scratches on the zombies. My zombified friend arrives and before I realized who she is I slash a vertical cut over her left eye. She seems not to notice and says " hi Aaron." She gets in the van and we start driving home. A zombie appears just outside my window and my friend tells me to stab at it through the glass, I'm skeptical but decide to make the thrust anyway. Just before the point of the sword reaches the class my alarm wakes me up.
Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid Lucid #100: The World Is Yours I'm flying high in the sky around what looks to be a computer-generated globe that's populated with little dots. I feel like I'm on a plane with Wife but I don't see a plane. It's just me and my floating perspective as we circle slowly and gracefully around this globe. I tell Wife, "This is a music video for a Phil Collins' song called 'Julia' from 1980." (Not true.) The song immediately starts playing. In it, Collins sings of how this globe is "not CGI" and that the dots represent people around the world. He sings that the dot he remembers best ("the one I best recall") was one of him over the ocean, flying on a plane to be reunited with his beloved Julia. As the song ends, I suddenly find myself falling downward out of the sky. I hope that this is a dream, I think, and of course it is. I immediately halt my fall and find myself hovering over a huge, vivid cityscape -- highways, skyscrapers, cranes, bridges, traffic jams, all arrayed for me down below. I want to fly around and explore this city, but when I attempt to fly, I'm unable to move. For some reason, I feel totally confident that I'll come unstuck. Stop asking, I think. I ignore what the dream is telling me and I imagine that I'm already flying Iron Man-style around the city. A second later, I'm flying effortlessly, cruising anywhere I like. I get briefly stuck a time or two, but I just ignore it, imagine that I'm succeeding, and immediately start flying again. Eventually, the little glitches stop. I see a tower that I remember from waking life -- it's one that I pass during my commute. I fly up to the top and circle around it. I glide low over roadways and high above a cluster of skyscrapers, then descend back to one of the bridges that spans a piece of some unfamiliar bay. My confidence is soaring, and I decide try some large-scale dream control. I put my hands out in front of me and then bring them apart like I'm performing the breaststroke. As I do, I rake cars off of the bridge in either direction and dozens of them go plummeting toward the water. I bring my hands back together and I watch as time rewinds and they return to the bridge, unharmed. I fly back toward the skyscrapers, select a pair of them, and then begin moving them up and down, one for my left hand and one for my right. I look to my left and see an enormous fire ogre (a la "Orcs Must Die") stomping toward me down one of the city streets. He towers over most of the nearby buildings, at least 100 feet tall. I wonder whether maybe I'll be fighting him later. I feel no fear at all. I reflect for a moment about what it would be like to have this much control and confidence in every LD. Nothing could stop me. What sort of things would I do if I had years of this kind of power? Leaving the fire ogre behind for now, I fly over my city for a while and just let my dreaming brain show me what it can do. I look out at the waters of the nearby bay and think about using all of this overflowing confidence for some Task of the Month parasailing, but the dream soon ends.
I was in a library with my cousin and a guy from the building where I used to live. We all kinda grew up together, although I kinda of drifted apart when I was about 13 or 14 (I'm 22 now and I've known the people in the building since I was around 8) while my cousin remained really close friends with all of them. Anyway, I remember trying to look at the guy, but I couldn't see him clearly because I was not wearing my glasses. It looked like he was pointing something at me, so I jumped to the floor... right before he fired a gun at me. My cousin (who's really tall and pretty strong - the guy is also tall, but not strong - I'm a hobbit) tackled the guy, got up and he had this kind of stake on his hand, but it was bigger than a stake. Anyway, he hit the guy with it and then he sunk the stake on the floor, but also the guy's t-shirt, so that'd be stuck there. I told my cousin that it'd have been better to have stabbed the dude than his t-shirt, but my cousin looked super sad about having to beat the guy. Then, he told me that the guy was on drugs and that he even had put cocaine on his eyes. I told him he'd get blind because of that, my cousin got even sadder, so I told him that I didn't mean that. The guy was still moving, so we decided to run. There were many stairs and I always jump down stairs in my dreams... so that's what I did. When I got to the last floor, it was a lobby and there was a bit of a line to get out through the revolving door. I saw a character from One Tree Hill sitting on the floor (I had a OTH marathon very recently), so I joined him. We were friends in my dream, so we left the building together. He took me to this dining place, it was really cheap, but I think there was tasty food. I remember being happy with what we got. Then, we went to the mall and there were two more people with us. As we were walking, I made a wrong turn and ended up at a blank wall where I thought there was a corridor. I thought "oh, I always do this at this mall, damn!" I often have dreams where I'm at a mall, so maybe I'd been there before? I don't remember, but it's possible. The four of us were walking around, having fun and laughing, then suddenly, the mall changed. It was still the same mall, but the stores had changed places and the corridors had also moved. I looked back to my friends and there was only one person there, he seemed confused too. I looked around, looked back at him and said "This is a dream. But there's something wrong with it. Something is corrupting the dream." This friend of mine (I don't know him in real life and, from what I can remember of his face, which is very little, I think that he looked like me) was still freaking out, he wanted to know what was going on. He believed me that it was a dream, but he wanted to know why it had changed so abruptly. Then, this other person showed up, I think it was a girl, but can't be sure... and I also think that she looked like me. She pointed at this wall where there was a curtain, she opened the curtain and there was a huge tv screen on the wall. I couldn't see clearly what was there, but it was paused and the screen was blue. There was stuff written there, but I couldn't read it, I was too far from it. Anyway, this girl said "There. You have to watch this. The dream changed because he wanted to give you this message." and then I woke up. It was VERY creepy and I woke up with my heart beating super fast.
