Side Notes
Working 60 hours a week, not sleeping much, and sleeping like a rock, so not too much recall but keeping up with the practice. I am going to make a 'return' next week. New avatar, new goals, re-evaluation. It is that time again. I'll get out into the forums more too so look for me. Say, wait a minute....I think I had a lucid dream last night. Yeah, yeah, I did. A small one anyways. I was in some sort underground cavern lit with torches with some mutant allies. We were attacked by fast zombie things. I tried to activate my powers but it didn't work. I clotheslined one zombie and tore its head clean off. Punched through the stomach.
Last night was horrid. Next weekend I will be going on vacation, and there is still a ton to be done before I leave town for Five days, and so I was stressed before going to bed. Over the course of the night I remember 3 dreams, but they don't string together, and they were all followed by my waking up in a sweaty mess. Everyone at work is getting sick again, and I was feeling horridly ill by bed time. I'm guessing I was running a temp last night trying to combat the virus, and it cause the blotchy dreams. Fingers crossed all will work out this week.
Lucidity: 8/10 Vividness: 9/10 Length: ~20 Min. I believe this one was a WBTB. So let's get started. I was walking with some people and when I found out that I was in a dream I decided to try to fly. I thought it was really cool that I could glide over and over again. When I saw a cliff I, for some reason, put a helmet on. I don't get it. But anyways I jumped off and I glided over a bunch of trees. It was very detailed. I soared behind this one building and landed on my belly. I got up and decided to jump on top of the building. I jumped on the first 3 stories of the building. Then the next. So I looked around because I had a better view and I could see where those people were. So I looked to my right and I saw more people. There was a tree next to them and I wanted to try to make a lightning bolt spider web and I did. I swung down there and looked at the girl, she was trying to find movies. I said "you can't summon movies, your limited by your own imagination." She said "oh" then I was thinking how awesome it was to be in the dream for a few seconds, feeling the texture of the ground. It was white. So then I got up and decided to try running fast. I found a good stretch of land and ran, I was kinda fast. So I tried it again and this time I kinda ran in place. This time I was so fast everything was all blurry. I could see that the planet that I was on was round and I could only go in circles. So I found them and did it again. This time the planet was smaller and when I looked behind me I could see the guy behind me as if I didn't go anywhere. Then I woke up.
I had another possible precognitive experience that I forgot to mention in my last post. I had this dream about button candy the other day. I never really get to eat it except for at Easter (my mom always seems to buy it around Easter). Today my dad got home from a long work trip. He had been to New York and various other places. He had stopped at Dylan's Candy Bar while he was there and got me some candy. He pulled out a bag from Dylan's Candy Bar and one of the items he got me was giant button candy (each dot is about an inch in diameter). This is getting curiouser and curiouser...
Hit quite the jackpot on dreams this morning. This is made somewhat ironic in that I'm in the nadir of an annoying upper respiratory tract infection, so I didn't put any effort into dreaming for the night. Finally, since our alarm didn't go off this morning, I didn't have time to fully write these up in the 10 minutes I had to get ready and arrive at work. Also, splitting the rest into two entries to make room for plenty of tags. Second sequence (note that this is #2 following the short sequence in the previous entry): I was driving in a car with my family again. We were turning onto University Drive from 19th avenue north. For some reason we were discussing Oblivion/Morrowind mods. We were apparently headed to the Fargodome for some reason. We parked and got out to go inside. Inside I spent most of my time at the food court there, ate a meal and loitered about. When my mom was ready to go we went out to the car and then pulled up to the entrance to wait for my dad and brother to come out. They came out just as I was getting impatient. As we turned back onto University Drive the dream transitioned into me physically playing in one of the mods we were discussing earlier (everything seemed real and not as though it looked like video game graphics). I enter some random house. As I walk in, a thin, thugish looking man comes to see who entered and meets me. Surveying the room, I notice he has a desperate-looking woman naked and tied down (I'm not sure if I realized it at the time, but I recognized after the fact that she strongly resembled my wife). Inferring that the man was about to rape her, I immediately slew the man. I turned and was about to leave without untying the woman when I figured I might as well not waste an opportunity and stripped down to have sex with her. At this point she didn't resist as though I was going to rape her, but she was very inviting and willing and quite turned on as well. It was very sensual and amazing sex; I entered her slowly and completely at first and then held it there, feeling her around me. She reached down to play with her clit as I held there, which was very erotic. After a short while we begin to have a good old aggressive, animalistic fuck. Unfortunately it ended before it reached a climax. I have a reflex I've developed over the years that wakes me up from some sex dreams before they finish in order to avoid having to clean up the aftermath. This time it was mildly disappointing, but not in that it at least left me with the memory. Though the dream wasn't lucid, it is a memory I enjoy recalling and it's something I need to remember to perhaps emulate in lucid dreams in the future. It's also worth noting that my dream avatar is much thinner, allowing for some unrealistic actions during sex.
In the past few days I've had really strange experiences with precognitive dreams. It is not unusal for me to recognize places I go for the first time from dreams I had before going there, but this time for a bunch of days I felt like I was living a huge déjà vu and that every step I was taking I was reliving several of my dreams. I went to Brussels and Ghent for work reasons. I've been in Brussels many times, I even lived there, but his time I took a different route from the one I always take out of the airport. It started there, when I recognised a car park where I had a dream adventure some time ago (even before joining DV, so no DJ record of it). I had never seen the place before, only in that dream. Then when I was on this bus to Brussels centre, I realised I'm dressed similarly to the dream of 9 Sep when I meet a friend at a library (on the same night by coincidence I also dreamt about Brussels). I'm wearing a skirt, leggings and some lycra socks that are kinda dirty. I am also wearing sabrinas, which is totally unlike me. I am going directly to the European Parliament, where my friend JF (whom I had met on this library dream) works. I think I need to take the socks and leggings out before arriving there or I'll be going through the embarassement of having to undress there, like I did in my dream, in front of my friend behind a desk. So, that problem was averted, due to reminding this dream. Then I spent all afternoon and night working at the Parliament, in some office with some friends and colleagues. Here I recognised the dream of 22 Aug about a "casual 5* hotel". It wasn't really a hotel, but the parliament at night. I recognized the lobby with the black square sofas, the amazing staircase leading to the glass window "chamber" on the upper floor (not really a concert hall, but the look was still incredibly similar). Instead of the lake and plants in the middle of the staircases, there's a huge metallic sculpture on the centre that looks like a waterfall. Then when we were working, one of the guys started to sing "who let the dogs out" and everybody joined in and laughed. Someone made a comment that we should have brought our dogs for company throughout the night. And I totally related this to the dream (dogs running around free on the hotel in the middle of the night). Also, the recent dream I had about hacking a building was totally related to the Parliament experience. I stayed there all night, which was not supposed to happen - I only had a permit for staying during the daily working time. But me and one colleague decided to stay behind to finish a job in the office of the person who got us in, hoping the security guards would not kick us out. We didn't stay inside the office all night as we were too curious and wanted to explore the building. We managed to walk around, avoiding the cameras and hiding of a security guard (a lady) we saw at a certain point, but amazed that no one was actually stopping us. Only at 4 a.m. did they caught us, because by then we thought nobody would come to kick us out. We decided to sleep on some couches on a corridor and a guard doing a round finally found us. We were totally exposed and relaxed about it. A mistake. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted. A few days later I went to Ghent and as I was passing by a really cute shop where I saw this basket full of teddy bears and other dolls, it totally reminded me of the teddy bear basket I had found in the security control room of the building I hacked (in the dream). Also in Ghent I arrived at this street where I saw the scene from the dream of 21 Aug (that then I marked as a potential precognitive). I had dreamt of a certain beautiful building on a corner of two streets facing a canal and there it was. It wasn't the embassy of Switzerland - that was a dream confusion, because the next day (not after the dream, but after this day in Ghent) I was supposed to go the german embassy (work related) and somehow my mind foresaw it but mixed it up. Anyway, no doubt that was the same place from the dream, although the building was not pink but actually orange/reddish, but hey... In front there was a canal and I leaned against the fence to take pictures both of the building and of the canal, for future reference. Later on, I saw this huge amount of people in bicycles and when I saw a particular family it got my attention - it totally looked like the part of the dream before hacking the building, where I followed this family on bikes. On the dream it was car-free day and... surprise, surprise: I found out then that it was car-free sunday in Ghent! By now I decided I should follow the bikers as I did in my dream, and see where it would lead me in waking life. Apparently to no place special. They crossed a bridge and kept cycling around the neighbourhood. I was tired of following them and stopped by the back of this huge building which I found to be a museum. On the back of this museum there was a nice garden and I just felt like meditating there for a while. That's when I found a koi pond in the middle of it. Weird. I had to do a RC just to be sure I was not on the moon I did sat there for half an hour and had the most bizarre meditative experience. I actually tried to contact the dream world while awake and felt strange effects. I'm not saying it was not my imagination, but I felt weird, like a strong difference of pressure over my head, strong swirling winds started to blow in the garden and around me. It was strange. Last but not least, while I was in Ghent I had also this weird dream that I was attacked, on a kind of guesthouse/restaurant, by some cult followers that kept saying "Simon says!" (haven't published this one yet on my DJ) and the next day I found out there was a place close by my hostel (a B&B and coffee bar) which is called "Simon says" - how odd is that? Unfortunately I had no time to actually go there, but the good side is I probably I escaped my attackers

Nothing last night. swear upon all thing holy if one more person drives past my house with music so loud i can't hear the person next to me, and LEDs so bright i go blind. I'm gonna start setting nail strips outside this damn house. Some people like to sleep at night...
So I very rarely have dreams on a normal school night, I just don't get enough sleep to be rested enough to remember my dreams. Until now I thought the only way to combat this was to go to bed around 9, which I doubt will happen again for the rest of the school year considering my workload. This was until last night... I had a dream and I remember a large chunk of it pretty well. I stayed up quite late last night and I was stressed so it can't have anything to do with being well rested. Then it hit me what was different about last night. I was listing to music! I always need some sort of background noise so I'm always playing some sort of "meditation" music when I'm falling asleep, but yesterday I listened to this rather sad and calm mix CD I had made. That is the only thing I could think of effecting me, lyrics. I'm not sure if this would make any difference at all, and one night isn't enough of a test for sure, but it might help. Needless to say, I'm listening to the CD again tonight. Dream 1: Woodshop + Tumblr + Party? There were three sections to this dream, and I have no idea what order they went in because they weren't really cohesive. I'll just post the parts in seperate paragraphs. -I was with two girls that I am okay friends with (in real life they kind of hate each other, or just mutually dislike). They were kneeling next to a bed on opposite sides in a purple room. They each had pieces of wood about the size of a paperback book in front of them. I think they were supposed to be decorating them but they were both very plain, if not completly plain. These weren't supposed to be art though, they had some purpose. There were other people making these too, also kneeling against the bed, about 15 people in total (it was a really long bed). I walked into what felt like a class and the "teacher" (who was standing in the middle of the bed pacing back and forth) told me I would have to catch up. -The same two friends were on the website tumblr making a blog (this segment of the dream will make more sense if you are familiar with tumblr). I asked if I could reblog photos with them. They said no. I walked over to these two boys I'm friends with (I have no idea where we were). They said I could post on tumblr with them. (this shows how totally and embarassingly I am addicted to tumblr) -I was at a party with one of the girls from the other dreams and both of the boys. We were outside on some sort of patio and there were lights strung between the trees. The boys had one glass bottle between the two of them and I had a glass bottle that looked identical. The bottles looked like the kind you would fill with colored sand and closed with corks. They were both filled with a clear (possibly slightly pink tinted, probably alcoholic) liquid. I asked them if they wanted to mix them even though they were the same thing. They said no. Then the two boys started talking about some game like World of Warcraft.
I had 4 dreams last night, but only one of them really matters! My first dream of the night, and my first true lucid! I believe it was a WILD as i was trying something i read on the forums a couple days ago. The thread suggested to speak lyrics in your head to keep your mind awake and focused. I wasn't exactly using lyrics, I was more or less reciting a book i read lately but it worked all the same. Everything was black at first, and i was still speaking in my head the lines from the book. I then looked around, and there was flooring, tile floors. I stopped reciting, I knew I was dreaming because when I started reciting I was face down in my pillows. I looked around, and The there were walls. I smiled, and the dream began to destabilize. I didn't have time to do anything before i was jerked from my body. I was pulled upward. I saw everything from above. My dream was a maze. I managed to make it back to my dream body, and with some effort i began to walk. I wanted to try something. I put my hands up, parallel to the ground, and held my palm flat up towards the wall. I wanted it to move, and it took a shit ton of effort at first but the wall pushed open like a door, and locked back into place against the wall behind it. I remember doing this until i got bored. I rememper trying to do other thigns but everything else failed, so i relaxed. I let myself slip in to 3 other dreams. I became lucid again in the 4th dream, but i wasn't doing much. Only walking around and looking at what my mind had created, and chasing some foxy ladies. D: even my dream girl know that my wife would kick some ass if I even tired to flirt. NOT FAIR! lol
No recall last night. I laid motionless in bed for about 5 minutes without the slightest fragment of recall so I called it quits and got ready for school. I did discover something fascinating about my dreams though. I had a dream that should have been in my dream journal entry for Friday, and I forgot to post it because I wrote it down on a separate piece of paper and then completely forgot about it. It involved my math teacher handing back a quiz (the one I took on Friday). I got a 90%. Then for some reason my really nice math teacher turned evil, and not "oh I hate this teacher, he's evil" evil, but super-villain evil. Anyways, today I actually got my quiz back and I actually got a 90%. Even weirder is that one of my dreams from yesterday had to do with my day today. My family never eats California Pizza Kitchen, but my mom picked up a cheese pizza from CPK after work today. Two precognitive-ish dreams in the span of 3 days? That seems pretty bizarre.
Date: Sept.10-20 Time: NA So I started school, it has been hard to remember dreams recently, I will remember some parts of it throughout the day as things will remind me of them. I need to get a schedule going for when I should practice my WBTBs, WILDS, and entering SP. There is one dream I remember quite vividly from a while ago. Description: I haven't had any memories of recent dreams, but there are a couple of fragments I remember. So here they are in no particular order. Warning- Some are very short! Also I have a vivid memory of one. Frag 1: Faking passing out in the middle of the class. I fell and was taken to the office to be sent home. I think I did it to get out of class. Frag 2: Looking at the cars in the street in front of my house, one is mine, my brother's truck, the kia, and my sister's car. An officer is at the front door because of too many cars in one spot. Frag 3: Running down the street away from something. I felt fear, but it never really turned to a nightmare. Frag 4: Talking to somebody in my house, not much else comes to mind. Frag 5: I am walking around my basement, K is there for some reason I want her to see my penis. So I undress while she walks in on me. I am now nude while she follows me. I grab a pair of shorts, and head outside. She chases me around the pool as I show her more of my now fully erect penis. Can't remember more, but pretty sure I almost had dream sex ha-ha. Dream Fragment: I start the memory off walking toward the kitchen in my work, someone is beside me saying I need to finish it. He hands me a piece of glass that is shaped like a scythe, later I remember it felt more like cardboard. Someone walks past me so I follow them. I don't kill them for some reason, so I jump onto her back, she fights me. I chase her out to this big parking garage. Inside there are walls made of glass, I try to tell her I am trying to help her but she doesn't listen. So she gets into a car, and I break into one, and chase her some more. I dodge police cars, and social workers. I can't remember anything else.
Experienced SP, mixed together with some hallucinations I awoke in the middle of the night. I had first the feeling that I weighted 3000 pounds, my heart beat slowly, but irregular. I heard my own voice saying (or maybe it were just my thoughts???): "This is how it feels like when there is too much gravity..." Instantly, I had the feeling that I was flipped up side down, that I was flying. My heart beat very quickly and irregular. I got extremely scared. I heard at the same time: "and that's the feeling you get when there's no gravity at all!" I don't remember what happened afterwards. That's one of the most terrifying experiences I've ever made while sleeping
Had a couple of lucid dreams last night. They were all very low on lucidity though. Maybe a 2. I kept thinking weirdly while i was their. Like i thought i was shared dreaming, but it really was just some DC's. But it was mainly centered around the MW2 level terminal. So i didn't do anything fun except shoot someone with a crossbow once or twice. Oh well. BTW tried wilding last night, but i don't have the patience i like i used to i guess. After 10 minutes i couldn't stand laying their anymore. Then when i tried to actually go to sleep everything on me felt like it was hurting. I don't know what it is, but it annoys me.
Not a lot to report as far as dreams last night. mostly just some fragments. One i can remember very clearly though and it was a FA: I woke up and sat up in bed. i noticed the candle on the table was still lit, and walked over to blow it out. but the lid on the jar was sealed. i turned around to tell my wife, when i realized that a candle can't stay lit in a jar with the lid on. I don't remember anything after that. DILD Class HW: <@puffin> 1) pick three of the above reality checks and explain the pros and cons of each. Nose Plug: While very simple, and easy to remember sometimes it dose not work. Several people have stating passing a nose plug RC in a dream. Location RC: This could work splendidly if you dream about the location you visit on a daily basis, but this would not work for me. My dreams take place in places resembling those from my past like my parents house, or my home town. I have not seen either in about 2 years so remembering to RC when seeing them would be nearly impossible since i never see them... Reading RD: I'm sure trying to read a webdings book would be key number 1 that you were dreaming, however if you are so into your dream that you can understand the gibberish this RC would pass. This would also fail to work if there was nothing to read at your current location. <@puffin> 2) why is it better to question reality everywhere, and not just when something specific happens? Because you could be dreaming about something from real life, or having a FA. I once had a dream i was out shopping in my home town. I didn't even think to question reality because it was something I was used to. In order to really become aware you're dreaming you need to question everything even if the same thing happens at the same time every day like the mail man delivering mail..
Hey DV, I had this dream last night, but when I awoke, I was too much of a dingus to write it down and forgot it. But do recall it being lucid.
