    1. More pleasant dreams. Weird awakening

      by , 07-17-2013 at 07:34 PM
Yet another pleasant nightmare from the deep depths of my clear soul.

It started off with me in my house. Some guys broke in. (Did I mention that its long but I have bad recall?). A couple days later, they broke in again. We were trying to recover from the first time, so there wasn't much to steal.

I was up in my room. Strangely enough, the only things that looked like my house, were the outside (with the exception of a few sheds), and my room, the rest looked like a beach house I go to every summer. Since I was up in my room, I was safe. For some reason they only messed up the kitchen.

A couple days later, I was talking to my neighbors (not Jerry this time), and then I heard some alarm. I could hear windows crashing. Everyone ran away to behind a wood pile to hide, there were some sheds there (that do NOT exist in waking life). I tried to run but I couldn't move fast at all (a tell-tale sign of one of my nightmares). So I slid down, I though one of them was coming after me, but they were apparently too involved in their kitchen-robbery. I came down into a shed with a smaller boy than me, about 10 or 12, and he had a baby-ish face. He talked to me about something, can't remember what, and then I closed my eyes, out of scared-ness.

This... is where it gets weird. I can't describe it all in this, its already long enough, but I'm starting a thread about what the heck happened. Anyways...
    2. Moon rising too fast, almost lucid!

      by , 07-13-2013 at 12:54 AM
      OH quickly, write down details!

Moon rising fast, pole with bucket, climbing pole with bucket, star party, venus, questionable reality, hills, cousin's backyard...

Ok that should be enough. Sorry, I just recalled a dream I had tonight, had to write it down fast. So.... here's the full thing:

      Length: ~ 1 hour
      Type: Non-lucid

It started out in my cousin's yard. Their house wasn't there though, the only thing there was a pole with a bucket, I climbed up it and swung around in the bucket. The people that were there with me, were:
My neighbor Jerry and one of his hillbilly friends
My brother (who didn't enjoy this)
      My mom

We were in the middle of what Jerry likes to call a "star party". We basically get out at night, take some homemade telescopes, and go right ahead. We were doing that for a couple hours when I started thinking "Man its getting late, this will ruin my dream recall, but its worth it!"

Yes, I thought about dreaming in a dream.

After that the one most memorable thing we looked at was a globular cluster. I had seen the exact some one in waking life, and it looked the same.

Then the sun started to rise. Well, not really, but when the sky turned pink-ish the Moon began to rise. Only it raised very fast. I think this is because I had watched a time lapse of the Moon rising before I went to bed, so it was in my mind. None the less, I began to question the reality of this all, but then dismissed it (I should've done a reality check god damn!). After that...

      The dream ended.

    3. Something is off... and "Do you want a body bag with that?"

      by , 07-12-2013 at 11:50 PM
This was a dream I had about 2 years ago. I had been telling myself I would get back into lucid dreaming, and was regularly checking my surroundings for anything odd.

In this dream I was in front of my garage, about to type in the password to open the garage door. I turned to look at my friend I hadn't seen for a long time in real life, and he was on the ground looking up at me, crawling without legs. There was something about it that reminded me of a cockroach. I was looking at him thinking "something isn't right here" trying to work it out in my head. I turned back to finish typing in the garage door code, and when I turned back he was normal, standing on two legs. I had that feeling you get when you were thinking about something important, but forgot what it was. I dismissed the feeling and woke up dissapointed.

A similar experience happened more recently, a couple months ago. I was in line paying for something, I think it was fast food but the window was more like a what a bank teller stands behind. I payed for whatever it was I was getting, and the person behind the window said "do you want a body bag with that?" I was confused but dismissed it. Immediately after dismissing it the person behind me in line asked me "Do you think that was normal? Wasn't there something strange about that?" I ignored the DC. It's the only time I've had a DC try to tell me I was dreaming.

    4. Almost Lucid Flying Counting

      by , 06-06-2013 at 10:37 AM
      Bed at 9:17
      10:52 pm
I had an almost lucid dream feeling in this dream. I had the sense that I had been counting something in my dream perhaps in my dream journal, when I opened my eyes wider and entered a new scene flying over an ocean with the thought that one can do this counting better this way. This may have been a non lucid dream about being lucid? I think the vividness shifted during the change of scene to much more vivid, and it was almost like being lucid.
    5. The Killer Whale and the Water Park

      by , 05-12-2013 at 06:31 PM
05/12/2013 -- Asleep and then awake again into kind of the same dream I was already dreaming, except none of the storyline is at all the same. I may still be Harry Potter, though. I am not sure. Anyway, I am standing up at the front of a stadium, kind of watching a killer whale show in a Roller Coaster Tycoon (RCT) game. It is a really strange killer whale show because most of the killer whales are only a couple of feet long, and look kind of like a tadpole would if it were as big around as a person and a couple of feet long. I'm standing there, watching things, and one of the park employees is telling me to sit down, or I'll get hurt. Instead I back up a little, and stand half behind some sort of support pole, so I am out of the way.

I find myself standing next to a little old man who looks kind like pixilated, and like a cross between the old man from 'Up' and a RCT character. I pick up a bottle off the ground, and it looks like an even taller, stretched out bottle of the type sodas used to come in (the large glass ones that could be recycled for .20) that is close to empty and holds Jack Daniels. I drink the last of it, and am kind of hoping the old man doesn't get mad at me for drinking his booze.

Anyway, the show has ended, and people are starting to leave, and I find myself spending some of my time thinking about taking the time to write down this dream and the last one about fighting Voldemort and showering with Hermione. I can remember that dream, and want to write it down. I also kind of get that this is a dream, also, and want to write it down, too, but I don't "really" get that it is a dream, so I can't do anything with it.

I glance off, and just a few feet away, I see the start of a 'lazy river' sort of attraction leading into a full-blown water park, and I am debating trying to write down the dream, or going off to play in the water park. Soon the water park wins. I have a sort of a foam mat for the water slides (like used to be used in the earliest days of water parks before they started making the slides of plexiglass), except it is halfway an air-inflated floating mattress-type pool thing. I take it into the edge of the 'lazy river' and start floating along, and I can almost see the squares of the RCT grid this is laid out on.

I can see that the kinds of pieces have been changed about every three squares, as I go from gentle stream to rapids to bubbly effervescence (I can't believe I spelled that right) to a bit of dying stream (like in a desert) where I am afraid I am going to puncture my floaty thing on the rocky edges that are showing through, as I hope to reach more gentle stream parts soon, or maybe a waterfall, and the rest of the water park. Pleasant dream bit.
    6. Half awake, half asleep state, and the Mortal Instruments

      by , 05-05-2013 at 03:32 AM
I've heard of this half asleep thing happening to a lot of people, but this is the first time it happened to me, so it was quite interesting.

Before going to bed, I was reading City of Glass, and my dream somewhat matched that xD

I was with my best friend, and we were in this dark house. It was night, and I don't know why there were no lights on, but something happened to my friend and she was badly hurt. I had a stele in my pocket, and quickly drew a healing rune on her arm, but it didn't seem to be working. I was really frustrated, and just wanted it to end, because the dark was starting to scare me (if you read any of my older entries you'd know that i have a weird fear of darkness in dreams, for some odd reason) and eventually, I woke up. kind of.

I had my right eye fully open, and my left eye was half open, but i couldn't move. My lamp was on, but my room seemed dark. I was still thinking of the dream in my head, playing it out without seeing anything. I kept telling myself to wake up, that I was already half awake, then thought, wait. I can turn this into a lucid.. all i have to do is shut my eyes... but then i decided i didn't want to because i knew that i wouldn't be able to banish the darkness around me, and that it would only be worse for me, so i stayed in that state for a few more minutes before i finally forced my eye open the rest of the way, and the room came into focus properly. When i sat up, my body still felt weird, like it was still partially asleep. I looked around for a minute before deciding to go back to sleep (lol) but yeah. very weird xD
    7. So There's This Girl...

by , 02-15-2013 at 02:00 AM (Golden Tales From The Dream World)
      Dream
      Lucid
      Semi-Lucid

This should technically be the 13th, since I had my sleep in two parts this day.
I had a nap at around 5 o'clock and woke up at 8, then went back to bed at 2.
However, both dreams are kind of related, so I just decided to lump them both together for the 14th.
Also it's kind of valentines day related so there's that.
Quick warning, this might get a bit sappy around the end. >.>
If you're not into that sorta shit just skip the second part.
Anyways, this involves a girl I'm into, I'll call her E.
Also, I experienced SP for the first time.
I decided to concentrate on the faint noise of my computer in the background is a lied perfectly still.
Eventually after coming in and out of consciousness a few times, I tried to move my hand to adjust my position.
Wouldn't you know it, I couldn't move my arm.
I tried to summon the strength to move it but no matter how hard I did it didn't even budge.
It was like when you sit cross legged for too long and can't physically move your legs after a bit.
Except in this case, it was literally impossible for me.
So I guess I'm getting closer to wild? Maybe?

      February 14th 2013

I'm at school walking through the hallway when I bump into this hot girl I like, E.

"Heyyyy " she looks at me with a flirtatious look and shows a friendly smile.

Um, did the girl I like just do that to me?
This is it, this is the greatest day of my life.
I shoot her back they same flirtatious smile.

"Hey." I reply attempting to sound as smooth as possible.

As she walks away she faces me and sings a little melody from some song.

"From dusk till dawn. E-ver-ee night we party, all, night, long."

The melody sounds like it could be from a nursery rhyme, but the lyrics sound otherwise.

(She is a bit of a party girl so it doesn't seem out of character to me.
On a related note this is a really weird thing for someone to do.)
As I begin to revel in the fact that I can probably ask her out now whilst continuing my journey.
I head into the stairwell and see a bunch of kids sitting around talking about stuff.
It seems that they are a part of some sort of club.
I begin to listen in when I hear the word dream brought up.
I guess there talking about there dreams and stuff.
I think that I could maybe try to join there conversation and interject some of my own experience,
      with lucid dreaming in particular.
However, as I don't want to intrude or look like some kind of weirdo, I decide to move on.
I end up bumping into another girl that says hi to me.
I don't know who she is, and she looks like she's a grade below me.
Not to be judgmental or anything but she didn't seem to good looking.
For some reason I come to the conclusion that she's hitting on me.
I give her a stoic, non-flirty-as-possible "hi" back.

      _______

I wake up in my bedroom to find two pretty girls I know are in my room with me.
(I don't see this as a false awakening but as a 'time skip' so to speak,
as in, all the things that happened in the previous dream I believe to be real memories).
I get up to greet them, I guess they've been here waiting for me to get up.
When I arise I notice that I'm wearing a baseball cap.

"Hmm, why am I wearing my hat?" I say drowsily.

I take it off and throw it aside.
The two of them are sitting cross legged talking about stuff.
      I don't think they've realized I've woken up.

      "Um, hello."

      Funny seeing you here.

"Oh, hey C.J. " One of them says to me.

They continue on with there conversation.
Well isn't this is just great, two fabulous looking young women have come to see me, and the time they chose to hang out was as soon as I woke up.
I must look like a total mess.
I decide to go to the bathroom to freshen up a bit when E grabs my hand.

"By the way, we had all of your 'special package' that was sitting on the table. "

She's referring to the water bottle with with a bit of rum in it that has been sitting on my desk for the past week.

      (It actually has).

"Don't worry about it, there's plenty more where that came from." I tell her.

I'm thinking about the last bottles of vodka that are still downstairs in the cooler.
I've saved them there because I seriously hate vodka.
To me it tastes like water with hand sanitizer.
Though in the end, alcohol is alcohol, so I've saved them for a rainy and desperate day.
      Today is that day.
Since I'll be drinking with girls, an event which is good unto itself, I'll be able to man up and hammer down the taste of death.
I head into the bathroom and wash my hands, mulling over all this information in my head.
      I head downstairs,
(where I knew they were even though I never saw them go) to go hang out with them.
I see my mom laying down on the couch and get kind of embarrassed at the fact that they probably saw her.
(She only wears a thin pajama layer all day).
I ask her where they went and she points over to a distant room.

(The dream topography gets weird here.
You see, I live in a small house, my first floor is pretty small as well.
What happened was, try to imagine that one of the walls has disappeared.
Now instead of seeing outside, you see that the house is actually in another house on some kind of huge floor with a red carpet on it.
Maybe 20 meters away is another room that looks like it belongs in a mansion, and that's where they were.)
I head over to them into the room.
(The sort of temporal rift in the space time continuum closes behind me and now I'm just in the room).
This room looks like it belongs to a rich musician.
There are guitars hung up, record albums, stuff like that.
It has a nice patterned carpet and a few leather couches.
There's a record player here too, but it's a bit odd.
In stead of a real record player it's just kind of a small rod sticking out of the wall.
A record is slid onto that rod via the whole in it's center and it begins to play through the room's sound system.
For some reason the record and the actual cover album are slid on both together.
When I get there a record is already playing.
The art for it is the outline of a man's face in red.
Apparently the two of them really like this record.

(I can't remember what the music sounded like).
We listen to it for a bit when we later transition into a classroom.
Now we're in rows of desks, and the two of them are sitting 2 rows behind me.
We're watching this kind of documentary on a projector about all these criminals through history.

(None of them were real criminals).
Nearing the end of the documentary is the story about a particular woman.
What she did was take a jar with a baby shaped grape gummy bear inside and a jar with a premature baby and threw then from her window onto the street.
I just kind of found this funny.
When I notice that my once house guests have now pretty much abandoned me,
I decide to go and sit next to another girl in the class.
At first she's a bit confused at my sudden change in seats, but soon we strike up a conversation.
We're talking about something or the other, it's pretty difficult to pay attention.
At some point I kind of feel a connection between the two of us.
I know that she also feels the same way.
The conversation turns into us telling things about each other.
      Soon the dream fades out.

      _______________
      Part 2

E shows up to my house.
She has a bunch of stuff on her, like bags and purses.
She comes inside and sets them down on my couch, (seems like my mom isn't here).
We start to talk for a bit about various things.
Sometime later another kid I know, Sean, also drops by.
I really don't have a problem with him visiting, mi casa su casa and such.
I go upstairs for a bit and get on my computer.

(In non-vivid dreams I can sometimes use my computer, but I always use it telepathically, and everything on it is pretty skewed).
I remember going on facebook and checking out which of my friends have what friends.
After a bit I go to the top of my staircase.
      Apparently Sean has left.
E isn't here either, her stuff is still here though.
Guess that means she's coming back, good.
Then something kind of hits me.

Sean wasn't really here was he?
My mom was never really here was she?
The previous events that happened weren't real were they?

(I'm on the cusp of lucidity at this point).
E wasn't actually- no, she was really here.
Her stuff is here, that must mean that she was really here.
So that means she'll come back, and we can start hanging out and stuff. ^_^
Yeah, there's no way she didn't actually come here, and that we didn't actually talk...
      Yeah...
My previous realizations have destabilized the dream, but I still hold onto this reality for as long as I can.
Dreamspace around me starts to become dark and distorted.
Maybe everything else wasn't real, but she was real.
Soon this thought is the only thing that exists, everything else has faded away.

      I open my eyes.
Even though I'm now awake the previous thought still perpetuates through my mind.
      I haven't realized yet.
I think, I should go downstairs, tidy up her stuff, and wait for her.
It's at this moment when the cold hard anvil known as reality comes crashing down on the fragile vase known as my heart.
      It almost physically hurts.

      ;_;

Side note on the "temporal rift".
I think this may be the way we "transition" in dreams, but we are so accustom to it we don't notice.
      Maybe, I dunno.
    8. Pandemic in Europe; So Close to Lucidity

by , 02-14-2013 at 11:00 PM (Golden Tales From The Dream World)
      Dream
      Lucid
      Semi-Lucid

So here, there's only one really worth while thing that happens in this dream.
I realize that there's no way my given situation can be happening.
As I've said previously, I've been through many an apocalypse in my dreams.
At this point, dream me has kind of come accustom to doubting there existence.
What was weird to me was how strongly my dream tried to enforce in my head the fact that the event really was taking place.

      February 13th 2013

I'm on a school trip to europe.
Were currently at a little hotel and I'm sitting around in a comfy love seat in the lobby.
I fiddle around with my jackets a bit (I wear 3 hoodies at a time) and set them down on the love seat in front of me.
I'm just kind of relaxing, enjoying the feeling of being in a foreign environment.
Suddenly one of the teachers that I was with came over to me with a distressed look on his face.

"C'mon, get your stuff, we gotta go." He says so in his typical monotone fashion.

I put my jackets back on and head with him
Theres no time to get my suitcase or anything else I may have left.
We are in a serious hurry.
I wonder what's going on that would warrant such worry.
Apparently a huge pandemic had broken out throughout europe.
A virus was out that was killing a staggering amount of people.
We had to leave the country before the virus "came to where we are".
I transition to my computer, and I'm making a post about whats going on on DV in a general sub-forum.
I'm talking about how it's crazy that this sort of thing is actually happening.
Then out of nowhere the thought kind of dawns on me.

"Did any of this really happen?" I wonder.

I mean, things like this kind of don't happen normally.
This can't have been a real event, it must have been fake.
Then an incredibly strong feeling of what I can describe as "realness" ached in my head.
No, this really is happening but it was just an unlikely occurrence.
That feeling persists for a few seconds before my doubt returns.
None of this can be real, this is impossible.
Wait, what does that mean again?
This isn't a real event actually occurring right now?
Does that mean this is a
      ...dream?
      Ah damn it was.

    9. The Demon Bar and Fighting Monsters

      by , 01-26-2013 at 06:48 PM
01-26-2013 -- [Bad night of sleeping, nothing but fragments.] I am staying at some sort of hotel or something, just a block or so from some place with a pool, and decide to go swimming. Walk over to the place and reach the locker room, only to find I have forgotten my towel and swim trunks, so I have to walk back to the hotel to get them.

I return to the place with the pool, and go back to the locker room, and get dressed for swimming, but when I get back to the pool I find out there are massive amounts of people around, hundreds and hundreds. There are so many people that they have to wait in line for a couple of hours to get in the water long enough to swim maybe a single lap. It just isn't worth it to bother waiting around. So I head back to the locker room.

The two locker rooms are very close, and while entering the door of one, you can see people standing there changing in the other, but I don't quite manage to catch on to the fact I am dreaming. I start to change back into my regular clothes, but somehow I have tons of money with me. It's all in small bills like it is tips or something, but still, huge amounts. I'm stuffing the stuff in my pockets, and it will all just barely fit, and two very tough looking guys seem to be talking about rolling me when I leave the place, so I'm trying to take my time.

By the time I exit the locker room, the place seems to be changing from a gym or a YMCA to something like a rather seedy looking bowling alley (albeit still one with a pool), and I spot a woman wearing a bikini that looks like the Princess Leia number from Jedi, and unlike many, I still don't really find it an attractive design. I slowly make my way to the door of the place, and out into the parking lot, really keeping an eye out for the toughs. I don't see them at first. Instead I see girls that work for the place directing traffic as it exits the parking lot, and I am beginning to feel safe.

Then I notice that those 'girls' seem awfully tall, and rather grim, and all seem to have very deep voices, and I begin to suspect they aren't girls at all, but the toughs waiting for me, and I decide I better go back inside and wait for a while. Somehow I have been resting my hands in my pockets, and when I take them out, one of the bills I had been carrying is stuck to one of my hands. It drifts to the ground, and I am thinking of picking it up, but somebody is following me, and I decide to ignore it. Too bad, I think it was a tenner. I hope the person who was following me is a good guy, and will pick up the money and give it back to me, but it doesn't happen.

I stumble back inside, and find the place is getting darker and darker as it gets later and later. And all the people are starting to look less and less like bikers and toughs, and more and more like demons and creatures and monsters. A couple of hours later, while I have sat there munching on some fries or something, and more and more people, including the staff have been muttering more and more about me under my breath, and it is now almost completely black, I decide I probably have to go, no matter what.

Some troll-like creature seems to want to pick a fight with me because I try to compliment his son, who he is carrying, but I manage to smooth it over. But as I am approaching the door, another three or four creatures (mostly tall, demonic sorts of things) start to loom threateningly over me. Finally I seem to realize I am dreaming, though I don't quite get there 100%. [I know it isn't real, and I can do anything, but I don't actually think to do anything much.] I try to warn them, something like "I don't suppose you can just leave me alone, and we can avoid trouble? No? Well, I tried to warn you."

I grab the first one, and a rough twist and I snap its neck, then I start grabbing its arms and legs one at a time and wrenching them so violently that I break those and disjoint them, as well. I grab the second, and squeeze it until it's head pops like a pimple, before I toss it aside, and grab for the third one. By the time I have destroyed the third one, the fourth one is backing away, and all kinds of monsters are muttering about how mean I am.

About this point, I wake up for a few seconds, try to set the dream in my mind for writing down later, and drift back to sleep, and back into almost the exact same dream. I am still walking through the same bowling alley, with demons and things cringing away from me, but there also seems to be a clown convention or something, and a woman I don't know is talking about my friend Petey, and how great she is, and how she has like 10,000 Facebook friends, and must be the most amazing person ever.

And Petey herself walks up and explains she just friends everybody she meets while doing gigs, so most of them are just bare acquaintances, and it doesn't really mean much of anything. Then I walk up and say something like "Though she does have a few friends on Facebook who really are friends, friends. Hi, Petey!" and she greets me. She then asks "What are you doing here?" and I start to tell her about the monsters, and the other lady starts to talk about the convention, and I realize she wasn't talking to me, so I turn around and start to exit the place again.

As I make it out to the parking lot, most of the demons and creatures are still cringing away from me, but one (looks like one of the Rune blood creatures from the Runespan in Runescape) is trying to start a conversation with me, and is saying something about it is too bad I didn't get together with a cute girl I'd met inside. I look at him and say "But when I was talking to her, there were only two magical signatures around, mine and yours. And since I know I wasn't her, since I was talking to her ...." and I kind of glare at him. "Uh ... well ...." and he slinks off, abashed. Weird.

4:00am-6:00am (the time period for all these dreams)

Before these dreams, I would like to say that I woke up to go to the bathroom at around 2:50am. My dad was also on the computer in the other room at this time, and I couldn't fall back to sleep until 4:00am, which is when these events take place:

I can't remember anything about this dream other than I gained lucidity at the end of it, then woke up immediately due to excitement. I didn't realize it when I woke up.

When I woke up, I barely moved if at all. I was confused about why the dream collapsed. I went back to sleep almost immediately.

I remember something about my mom in this dream; no idea what :/. What I do remember is being in a hotel with my grandmother. She was sleeping in the hotel room's bed on the left side when facing the bed. I was standing right next to the place she was sleeping. There was a bubble-like force field around the bed. It was spinning very fast and was colorful and a little transparent. It was called a sphere of confusion and, for some reason, it was associated with my grandmother. I walked around the bed, careful not to touch the force field. When I got to the other side, I walked through the force field. When I did, I gained lucidity and became trapped in a void of blackness. I felt as though I was kind of falling, but not really. I quickly woke after that.

I didn't move at all when I woke up. This time, I realized the reason I couldn't keep the dream going was due to too much excitement. I fell back to sleep after a few seconds, and quickly started dreaming.

This time, it was a false awakening. I got out of my bed and did a reality check (probably looked at the time). I became lucid. This time I remembered I had to stabilize the dream, so I looked at my hands and rubbed them together. Then my third lucid dream of my life really began.

I started to imagine a scene where I could see naked women (lulz I'm a huge pervert in LD's). I closed my eyes and imagined a beach. When I opened them, there was a beach, with all the waves and ocean. I found an empty lawn chair with an umbrella up and sat in it. Soon after, I was watching some horny-looking naked women walk up to me in slow motion. One I remember very well was a naked Hispanic chick with the biggest breasts in the world, pretty much. They were humongous. They were as big as really big beach balls. I think she was the last one I saw. After that, I wanted to have sex. For some reason, I imagined a theater; an opera theater. I was in the rightmost path for the seats, very close to the stage. People were in the seats, watching the show, but I wasn't paying much attention to them. On the stage, there were many sexy women in very skimpy outfits dancing for the audience. There were also some props on the stage: a piano, a very long table, and an art canvas. The women were standing on top of them. The one woman who really stood out was a woman in her 20's standing on the part of the table closest to me. She had the skimpiest outfit on, which was very transparent fabric. You could see everything on her. This made me horny, so for some reason, I made my way to the bathroom, which was a public bathroom. They were on opposite sides of the theater, with the women's bathroom on the left and the men's bathroom on the right. I didn't go directly into the women's bathroom, but I went into the men's one because it was closer and I had the intention to sneak into the women's bathroom from there. When I entered it, there was a giant glass window that divided the men's from the women's. I saw a really beautiful girl who I had the intention to have sex with. I walked over to a hallway that went INTO the women's bathroom. It was then that I lost my lucidity.

I couldn't remember much in the theater after I lost lucidity (I might have gone behind the stage and seen a very sexy show, with pink and blue lights). I do remember ending up at a mansion. Apparently, there was a business party going on there. Everyone was very classy and wore suits and dresses. I found this cute Korean chick (probably to do with this Korean girl I knew from second grade) with a red dress in the lower floors. She was being asked out by some random guy. The Korean chick said yes to him, and I naturally felt jealous. She then came over to me and said "Come on," like we were very friendly. We went over to the lowest floor (because the mansion was just one giant room, really) where there was a desk. Someone I know from school, named Jn, came over and asked out the Korean chick. He was dressed really fancy with a suit and tie and everything. She said she already had a date, and Jn said "Okay," and walked away. We then talked about stuff I don't remember. I eventually turn around and see that the parking lot (which is also on the lowest floor) was flooded. People were panicking and trying to get to their cars to drive away. The place I was was perfectly fine though. The dream ended there and I woke up.

Well this was terrible... I had a dream where there was me and my mom and dad in a wooden house... The living room and kitchen were huge. And it was kind of swampy outside. I was talking to my dad for most of the dream, but I was talking to him about Lucid Dreaming. The whole conversation was entirely about LDs, but for some stupid reason, I didn't realize I was dreaming, so I wasn't actually lucid and I didn't even become lucid. -__-
    12. Back to school (and weirdly excited).

      by , 08-14-2012 at 04:29 AM
      Back in high school.

All was the same as it is now -- I'm twenty, I'm a high school graduate, and I'm unemployed, so going back to school seemed like a good idea somehow. My first class, I'm not sure what the class even was, but I opened up my textbook and it was full of Kpop artists. I remember scanning the pages and found pictures of all but one member of 2NE1 (Dara). Whatever assignment we were supposed to be doing, I didn't hear the instructions over, so I just flipped through the textbook and read for my own pleasure. Not super important, but there was a mention of Clint Eastwood in that textbook that featured mostly Kpop stars, so yeah, that's interesting.

After that class, I carried my purse, my bookbag, and one textbook out with me. As I was walking through the halls, I saw a girl with whom I'm no longer friends in reality, but was close friends with since I was in sixth grade and during high school. I tried my best to ignore her, pretend to be looking off in another direction and not notice her crossing my path. I happened to drop my textbook by accident, which happened to be a good distraction. To my next class, I found some people I knew, people I went to school with who were graduates like me, and I asked them, "Why are we here when we've already graduated? How is being here going to benefit us any?" I don't remember their answers, but I believe it was supposed to make finding work easier somehow.

In my next class, which took place in the school library, there were several people, most of which were not yet graduates. I noticed the tables at which we were sitting (or at least mine) was either too tall or the chair was too short, so the surface came up to my chest and it was too high for me to write comfortably. The teacher was kind of a dick and wouldn't shut the hell up about how texting isn't allowed in class and a bunch of other stuff to which I wasn't listening. He then asked that if anyone had any questions, they write them down on a sheet of paper to be turned in to him. As I was writing my question, again, "How is attending high school for another year going to benefit those of us who have already graduated?" he read it over my shoulder, and seemed so thrilled. "You've already graduated?!" to which a fellow real-life graduate of mine raised her hand and said, "Yeah, me, too!" He said, "Well, okay, we've got some special jobs for you girls then," but didn't really get to telling us what they were.

Here's where it gets... more weird. I'm not sure, but I think I might have been walking home. I was walking through a familiar field of trees that, in reality, exists right out front of my elementary school, just across the street from my apartment. As I was walking, there was a large dinosaur in my path, and some younger students were in danger of him, so I had to fight him off (I think I had a whip or some other type of melee weapon). I had some help fighting him, but I can't remember from whom. Either small wild dogs, or small tame dinosaurs. After fighting him to the death and receiving thanks for saving those kids, I continued on my way. I sat at the edge of the road outside that field, I think waiting for someone to pick me up, and the girl I mentioned in the first portion of the dream, the one who, in reality, was my best friend and no longer is, she came down to sit next to me. We were talking and became friends again, but we were still discussing, "Why are we here? You and I are twenty and have already graduated, so why are we here? Isn't it weird?" Of course, again, I didn't really find an answer.

The rest of the dream is either really fuzzy or it made so little sense that trying to type out the events will seem counterproductive, but I'll sum it up by saying:
      - I got in a cab, there was a fellow student in the front seat and I sat in the back.
      - He had a huge crush on me, I guess because I was already a graduate, I was older than most kids there, and I seemed smart because of it.
      - He tried convincing me he was also a graduate there and he was twenty-five, but I didn't believe him.
      - Through some transition I can't remember or explain, I was no longer in the cab, but I was home, trying to make strawberry smoothies.
      - I heard some kind of alarm coming from another apartment that I had never heard before, and it sounded serious. My sister went to check it out, and when she didn't come back, I went to check it out.
      - I think the alarm was because a storm was coming or something, but my Mom's cat had followed me outside and found his way in a neighbor's apartment, so I spent the last bit of the dream trying to get him out without alerting my neighbor to the fact that I was intruding.

And then my boyfriend woke me up, so that's where my dream ends. I feel like I should note that, unlike most dreams where someone goes back to high school or to an old job, this one wasn't stressful at all. I was confused as to why I was there, but I was actually really, really excited that I might be able to so easily further my education, and that everything I would be tested over would be stuff I already knew. It was just going to be so easy, and I was really looking forward to it. I'm wondering whether it relates to my recent consideration of going to beauty school. Anyway, the constant questioning of "But why am I here?" might have been a split second of lucidity, and then something followed every time and distracted me from my questions (though obviously not permanently).
    13. wait, wouldn't that mean i am dreaming?

      by , 05-14-2012 at 02:17 PM
as i fall asleep i repetitively tell myself "i will know i'm dreaming"
i remember this in the dream and say to myself "wait, wouldn't that mean i'm dreaming" however as i do the reality check it goes as if i where awake. with the slight thought in my mind that i am dreaming i decide to try to prove it, however i do not have time before i wake up.
    14. My first recorded dream.

      by , 04-29-2012 at 10:44 AM
It was a few months ago now, when my friend first told me about lucid dreaming and i started to research it and that night when i went to bed my first dream i cant really remember but it it had Jeremy Clarkson in it and i was in Paris as i remember seeing the Eiffel Tower.

I woke up after that dream and i had heard from various places on the internet that you can go back into a dream if you imagine yourself spinning and visualise your previous dream. So i did this, and sort of got thrown into the dream, but everything was black and i realised i was dreaming but then everything started to shake and rumble and i woke up scared.

The next night i tried it again but the same thing happened but without the rumbling feeling. This is the closest I have been to Lucid and have never done this since.
    15. Holy improved dream recall, Batman!

      by , 12-14-2011 at 06:11 AM
My dream recall has been improving greatly lately. I attribute it to drinking chamomile tea and eating some peanut butter on toast before bed, along with some other sleep improvements. Anyway, I've been able to recall up to three dreams a night, which is awesome! Here's a quick recap of what I've got written down for just the past week:

-Ran into my ex-boyfriend at a super-fancy restaurant. He tried to ask me out again, and stuffed dried grass into my shirt pocket. For some reason, in my dream I knew this meant he was very serious about asking me out.

-Went to the Ohio State Fair (LOL I've only ever been to Ohio once in my life, for a day...and it didn't involve a fair) and walked through the animal barns to look around. As I walked I realized the animals were turning into humans. They were all naked and filthy, and they stared out at me with blank expressions. It was unsettling. I reached a room where some of the "barn humans" were sitting on benches, watching a video recording of a televangelist on a cheap TV. They asked me if I wanted to watch the video, but I refused.

This dream is pretty significant to me, because I think I tried to go lucid. I distinctly remember thinking "Wait, how do I know this is Ohio?" while I was dreaming. ON MY WAY TO LUCIDITY. AW YEAH.

-These are all in the same night---1. I won a latte-making contest 2. I participated in a fishing competition at this huge (and to the best of my knowledge, non-existent in real life) college where I ran into a Buddhist monk. 3. I was alone at my high school's swimming pool watching mermaids swim around. Then this crowd of people came from nowhere and started some tribal ritual that involved killing the mermaids. I was heartbroken.

-I baked cookies with children who had human bodies and bird heads. I remember a cardinal, blue jay, kingfisher and oriole. They were all very polite, and I had a really good time.

-Found myself rehearsing for the stage version of The Lion King

-I was in a bright, sunny, green field with songs fluttering around me like butterflies (I have no idea how to explain this, but they were songs and they were fluttering). I had a net, and when I caught a song, it would play. Sometimes the song was good, sometimes it sucked.

Yeah. Here's to continued good recall. These dreams are really fun, or at least interesting.
