      DEILD

I had a series of dreams that took place at the same setting in a row. I became lucid in the first or second, and I was able to either DEILD or DILD rapidly in each. I am not sure if I fully woke up in between all of them, or if the dream just "restarted". I forgot a few in the middle; here are the ones I remember.

The initial dream started with a group of people my age helping out the middle school theater departments. I had to help out with Brooks and Julian. I was walking up a ramp with Ben and Jack. I saw that Brendan was behind me, so I called to the other guys because he had been gone for awhile. Jack said he already saw Brendan and we waved and moved on.

I became lucid at the top of the stairs, and I tell my friend that this is a dream. I fly to the top of a light post and hang on. I do a few more short distance flights and lose the dream.

I am in the same place, and I meet with a girl and we get into a giant dump truck. I am thinking of doing things with her, but I play it off like I was trying to show her dumping the truck load (rimshot). I push the button and lose the dream.

I start at the top of the ramp again. Some people are getting into a car, so I get into the back left seat. It turns out there are 3 rows, like a station wagon. There are 3 people in the back 2 rows. I get in and say, "guess what? This is a dream! We can do whatever we want!" I look back and I see Lindsay V. in the back right corner. She says," No, this is MY dream." I am shocked. Is this another dreamer? She was in one of my previous non-lucids at this location. She was wearing a white sox hoodie, and I was deciding if I should wear the identical one I have. I look to the back seat and mention the hoodie. She never saw me in it, but I told her about it, hoping she would remember in real life.

The car is being driven by Margaret H., and we are going down Evans by DU. I am feeling the dream start to fade again and this time I remembered a lucid pill. I look in one pocket and only find some powder. I eat it anyway; it doesn't help. I put my finger under my nose (like I was going to stop myself from sneezing) and for some reason that stabilizes the dream a bit. I reach into the other pocket and find a pill. I break it open and eat the powder inside. I am feeling good now.

I reach both arms out and raise them slowly. The car begins to take off from the ground. Margaret doesn't have much of a reaction. We are flying over some prairie near the mountains. I dip my shoulders to the left and the car banks. I open the door and reach out to touch the water we are flying over. We straighten back up for a bit. I do another hand motion and the car corkscrews upside-down. I jump off my seat and land on the inside of the roof. There is a large amount of head room. I can crouch and easily clear the passengers heads so I do the russian "hut-hut" dance. The other passengers laugh. I then try a backflip. But right after I jump, Margaret reverts the car and I land on my head in my seat. I lose the dream soon after.

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Good morning! Had yet another lucid dream this morning, it wasn't much this one either but still had a bit of fun.

      01.30: Sleep

11.00: Sliding and flying and starting fires DILD
I'm at my friend G's mom's house. There's a candle or something on a table next to me and I'm holding a bottle of perfume. I throw the bottle at the flame and it blows up. I duck to avoid the big fireball. I throw another bottle and run for the door. The bottle explodes and the entire place is on fire. For some reason I have just managed to burn G's mom alive, she was a dice on the table (?). I follow a couple of train tracks.

I suddenly realize I'm dreaming. 'Ah good, then I don't have to worry about his mom'. I keep on following the train tracks and arrive at a small shed. I try to imagine finding a hot girl in there but when I look inside there's no one there. I usually don't have problems summoning people. I decide to stabilize the dream a bit so I rub my hands on the tracks and pick up some dirt just to feel it. Everything becomes clearer. I hear a sound nearby and look up. No one's in the shed still, but G comes walking down the tracks. I'm worried he's pissed because of his mom but he seems fine. I stand up on the tracks. "Watch this" I say and slide on them. G mimics me and soon we're going really fast. After sliding for a little while I understand that I can't go any faster. I jump and start to fly instead. I have trouble controlling the momentum but it works decently. I turn around and fly back when the dream starts to fade.

      12.00: Wake up

      Amount of sleep: 10½ hours

      Supplements: None

      That's it!

      Keep on dreaming, HARE BRA!

I'm at school walking to class in the front drive. There is a group behind me for some reason we all turn around and start running but I stop and think where are we going so I a RC it works i widen my stance put my hands together in front of my face look at the ground and say stabilize now I feel like something is connecting me to the ground and turn left and split away from the group the dream starts to fade saw been over and feel the gravel then I remember it's a dream and i can do whatever I want so I jumped and stick both arms out in front of me like Superman now I'm flying a fly for what seems like 5 min. then I start to drift to the left i tried to straighten my body out and turn to the right but I can't so i give in and let the dream take me where it wants to then I come to a small box like room at the edge of the canyon I land and go in there is no door just shower curtain I step in and sat on the stool in the corner I lean out the door and call out for someone I hear someone coming in set back down she moves the curtain and steps in it's not the DC I wanted so I call for another person the same thing happens it happens twice more so I get discouraged and lay my head down on one of their laps but then I call for someone else she comes but it's only their face and the body of what seems like a two headed moose the dream starts to fade and then I wake up before I have time to restabilize.

      Shenanigans and Skydiving (LUCID)

[I don't remember how this dream began, but at the beginning of our tale I am lucid, I'm standing in my room near the exterior wall (with a window), and I've decided to go outside.]

I consider crashing straight through the wall using a shoulder, but I think in this case something more elaborate would be safer. I back away from the wall, staring at it carefully. I'll try to use a fireball to blow it up, but in order for that to have even a chance of working, I need to have a pretty clear idea what I imagine it would look like. I concentrate on the wall, imagining it heating up. The colors start changing: the wall becomes red-tinted, or maybe purple. I thrust my hands at it, and the wall turns black and splits into triangles in an isometric pattern. As the triangles shrink and fade away, I charge through the wall. I realize the explosion wasn't very realistic, but at least I did get through.

I start jogging down the road. I'm wearing clothes again [I took them off at some previous part of the dream], probably because the weird explosion made me lose concentration and the feeling of lying under the covers made me unconsciously feel like I should be clothed. So as I'm jogging, I take them off again. Since it's fairly early in the day, I pass only a few joggers going the other way, which is probably a good thing given my state of undress. There's a lot of construction on the road--so much that only a narrow path for joggers remains, going down the middle. I go down the path. At the other end, the path even narrows a bit more, just to make absolutely clear that no cars are allowed to go this way. There are three guys my age standing up there, waiting for some cars to pass. Once the cars are gone, two of them start pranking the other. I hang around for a few minutes in order to see what's going on, but then I decide that this could get ugly and I'd better get out of here. I turn around and go back the way I came, but not before I give the guys a thumbs-up to take the edge off of my departure. It occurs to me that I'm using that thumbs-up trick a lot in this dream. [I think I did it once before to my mom before I left the house.]

Walking up the driveway to my house, I feel like I'm giving up on the dream, like all my adventures are over. I look over my shoulder at the clouds. They seem an awfully long way away, but I might as well take a risk and try something new! Putting my arms into Superman pose, I blast off. As the clouds approach, I wonder if they'll feel chilly or misty. And indeed they do, sort of. I fly through a few layers of clouds, looking around at the cumulus cloudscapes. Experimentally, I blow some air at the cloud I'm flying through, and indeed it seems to thin a bit in the place I'm aiming the air. Then I decide that's enough of that, and I start falling back towards the ground. At first I try a cannonball shape, then I try pretending to dive headfirst, but then I decide to adopt a spread-limbed pose as if I'm skydiving. Unfortunately, the ground is already approaching very quickly. Just a few seconds later, I reach behind me and mime pulling a parachute cord. It works, but I'm still going too fast. It looks like I will land in my front yard. Spying a tall tree, I shoot a grappling hook from my right wrist. It tangles in the branches. Then I shoot another from my left wrist, sort of jerking my arm sideways so that the hook swings around another tree trunk like a tetherball. Increasing the tension on both arms simultaneously, I'm able to slow myself almost to a stop, hanging a foot above the lawn. Then I drop the rest of the way, attempting to release the grappling hooks so I can walk. It doesn't work too smoothly until I pretend like my right pinky nail is a small knife, which I use to cut the wire. Then I walk towards the front door of the house and wake up.

      Cat Surgery

I walk into the basement to find an unfamiliar young man sitting with some of my parents. He's holding one of our pet cats, while my dad holds the other. [IRL: The other cat died, actually, about a year ago.] The other cat (a white one) gets away from dad, so I go after it. Evidently something is being done to the cats which they don't like, but which is good for them. Eventually I find the white cat and bring it back downstairs.

Now the stranger is sawing off the cat's front paw with a hacksaw. My parents assure me that this is a necessary surgery, since the cats' paws never healed right from that time they fell from a great height. I remember that event; it was somehow my fault. [IRL: No such thing has ever happened.] Despite my parents' assurances, I still think that this operation will probably kill the cats. Which is a real shame, because I think this first cat in particular had a long, eventful life ahead of him, in spite of his limp. The man finishes with the first cat, and we give him the second one.

Later, the first cat jumps up onto the couch next to me. I'm shocked to see that he has both front paws back already, and they don't seem to be paining him at all. Do cats have some kind of regenerative ability?

      Manual Roller Coaster

Right up ahead, my sisters and I see the entrance of a big covered slide. We dive right in; I'm last. It's a sort of man-powered roller coaster: the idea is to crawl through as quickly as possible. Visibility isn't so good, so sometimes a sharp curve will take you off guard. Then suddenly I reach a long downward segment that I can just slide straight down. This is a blast! A bit later, I accidentally run into my sisters, who apparently just ran into each other. The youngest one apparently tripped because of an unusually long, sharp turn (something like 720 degrees), and then we all crashed right into her. Still, we extricate ourselves in moments and continue the ride.

At the end of the ride, there are a bunch of computers. You can type in your identification and it will tell you how long it took you to go through the ride, and how you compare to that day's other participants. I got 611th, which I think isn't too bad. Then I talk to my sisters, and it turns out the youngest one got 609th. I hadn't expected her to do better than I did! I'm a bit put out, but good for her anyway.

      Exclusive Buffet

I'm eating dinner with some classmates at a big restaurant. We're having an important conversation, when suddenly someone comes out on the stage at one side of the room. The person talking to me has his back to the stage, so I try to shush him so I can hear what the woman on stage has to say. I realize I seem a bit rude, but surely he'll understand. A few other actors come onstage, and they start performing a play.

I have only a moment to feel surprised before a bulky, intimidating man comes up to our table and starts taking away our plates, whether or not we're done with them.

"I'm sorry," he says firmly, "we're closing now unless you're part of the club." He has a bit of an accent.

I remember that this place serves a buffet until 8:00, when the actual fancy dinner starts. You have to pay extra to be part of that, or something. And now it's 8:00, so we have to go. On the way out, some of my classmates snag something from the dessert station at the buffet. That's a little rude of them, since technically we're not allowed to eat anything from here anymore. Good thing I got my dessert earlier. Outside on the sidewalk, I hear some other classmates complaining about not having eaten a full dinner because there was nothing good at the buffet. I'm glad I avoided that problem by eating plenty, even if the food was pretty unremarkable.

      First Day of Classes (LUCID)

I get up later than usual and hurry to find breakfast. I pass one of the dormitory suites, where apparently someone has set up a small continental breakfast. Interesting, to see such a business here. I get some food there. Then it's time to find my first class.

A lot of time has passed, so when I go back into the hallway, I see a gigantic line of people coming out of the suite's main entrance. It goes all the way down the hallway and down a staircase. I'm glad I missed the line, but suddenly I realize that so many people in line means these are probably the people who get breakfast immediately before heading to class. So I have very little time to collect my things and find my class. I hurry down the staircase, trying not to jostle the line of people too much.

      [about 6 classes later . . .]

My next class is titled something like "Practice Session." My guess would be that that refers to a free slot for me to practice my instrument, but that doesn't make much sense, since I'm not a music major and this is not a conservatory. But in any case, I have to find the classroom, which is called the MUSIC room, appropriately enough. But the name "MUSIC" is actually some kind of alphabetical index of where to find the class. Like, I need to find floor M, then hallway U, etc. I suppose the music department thought they were very clever when they designed this room numbering scheme.

I'm hurrying down a surprisingly dark corridor, feeling rather lost. I think I'm on the right floor, but I can't find "U" anywhere. Suddenly, I come upon a library, where my orchestra conductor is talking to some of her students. Well, it's good to find other live people here, but I don't really want to talk to her right now, so I avoid them. Consulting my class schedule again, I realize that my next class isn't even in the MUSIC room. I've had about three other classes in there today, but this one is somewhere else. That's a relief, until I realize that the room shouldn't just disappear if I don't happen to have a class in it right now. But I don't have time to worry about that; I have to find this other place.

It strikes me that today has been an inauspicious first day of classes. I had been hoping that after last quarter (which was very stressful) I would have learned something about avoiding stress and staying calm--but alas, it seems like I have not. Especially since I seem to remember that I skipped most of one of my classes this morning because I had to finish an essay that was technically due last quarter.

My map has a sort of sticker on it, labeled with the name of the place I'm looking for, but it's way out in the middle of nowhere, and the map doesn't show any route to get there. I'm not convinced that's the right place, so I wander around some more. Then I realize I'm just pretending that it's not the place because it's much farther away than I expected. I should just suck it up and go there, even if it will take a while. Looking at the syllabus for this class (which is a small, staple-bound book with a brown cover), I notice that there's even some advice printed on the back cover: the professor says we should leave for his class within ten seconds of the end of the previous class if we want to make it to his class within ten minutes of the alleged start time. I start walking, but then I realize I'm not carrying a backpack or any school supplies at all. And I have only fifteen minutes until class starts. I might make it on time if I keep walking there, but I'll definitely be late if I go back to my room first. I wish I could just "Accio" my school supplies so they catch up to me while I'm walking. Of course, that's just wishful thinking--

--but then I realize that I'm dreaming! Sweet! Okay, I can fly back to my room, get my stuff, and fly to class, and still be there with time to spare. So I set out to do just that. [On my way to class, I lose lucidity.]

The route to class turns into a dirt hiking trail. I try going straight to the classroom, but the path leads under a giant boulder, and I discover that there's not enough clearance for me to squeeze through. Backing out, I make my way around the boulder instead. There are two young boys jumping around on the rocks, shooting at each other with what I identify as laser guns. One shouts at the other, "Mister, show me your ID card!" Clearly, they're imitating the adults from around here, the security guards that watch the entrance to the secure facility in which my class takes place. Okay, I should try to find the guardhouse so I can gain entrance to the facility. There's a small wooden cabin across the road that looks promising.

Inside the cabin, I find the teacher for my class. In order to pass the gatehouse, every student has to sign a contract. All of the contracts are hand-written (by the professor), and I can't read mine at all--it's totally illegible. But one by one, all of the other students are leaving the gatehouse to go to class, and in desperation I finally just sign the contract.

The classroom seems rather like an art studio. There are a lot of heavy-duty tables spread around the room; some of them are pushed against the wall like booth seats at restaurants. It is at one of these latter tables that the professor is sitting, and he invites the class to gather 'round his table while he explains what we'll do in today's class.
    6. Wizards at the Mall and Escaping with Batman

      by , 12-24-2012 at 07:17 PM
12-03-2012 -- [Hope this works out. This was a very long, interesting dream, and I made very short, abbreviated notes on it, and am almost a month late in entering it in, so depending on how well the memory works, a lot of this could be missing. Sigh.]

I'm on Hickory, just a house away from the end of the block, down by Crescent, and find Cheryl there, ranting and raving and yelling at her kids. They are piling into her van to drive somewhere, and I sure don't want to get in any sort of fight, so I just walk down the block to my house.

About the time I get there, things change and shift, and I am outside a gas station, doing a mystery shop. Basic stuff, no big deal, but soon I find things have shifted again, and I am inside the Buena Park Mall. At this point I can't remember what was happening earlier in this part of the dream, but I know there were some Harry Potter characters around, and possibly some strange magical critters.

There are people (probably evil wizards) following me, and little bits of chasing through the mall, where I find myself doing a little bit of flying, but the ceiling is too low to get enough height to really stay out of the way. So I can't get away entirely, but it adds a little more dimension to the chase. I soon find myself in the Video Concepts store, right near May Company.

The evil wizards have been gathering, and there are more and more of them. We have to try and get out of the place, but how to get away when there are so many of them watching for us? Luna is here, and I am trying to get her free, too. And Patches, one of my landlord's dogs, is also running around. Part of the time, Luna Lovegood may even be turning into Lois Lane, though I am not sure.

Turns out there is a half-hidden secret exit to the place which leads into the multi-story hotel which now exists at the Buena Park Mall, and we fake toward one of the front doors, then dash to the hidden exit, which may be a sort of elevator. It leads up several floors to a hotel corridor, and we walk a few rooms down, and enter a room where Batman is waiting for us. There is a little bit of planning and making arrangements, then we crawl out through the window, out onto the penthouse roof, where we quickly find ourselves being chased again.

Somehow from the roof we are going up or down an escalator to a valet parking area (yeah, on the penthouse roof. I know it doesn't make much sense.) I have a note about some sort of escalator gag which was tremendously humorous and funny at the time, and may have involved Batman trying to hold a kid who disappeared, and me getting accidentally kissed by a beautiful woman. It was a really great gag, unfortunately now I can't remember how it went. I hate myself for not getting this entered earlier.

Anyway, Batman is getting the Batmobile, while I am flying, and somebody is rolling around on roller skates. There is something about a Siamese twin, except it is Siamese twin Siamese cats, with a loud, obnoxious howl. Batman comes driving up in the car, and I just fly above it as he drives away from the hotel.

[This would have been so much better if I had managed to get to it promptly!]
    7. Hunting Implings, Flying Through a Warehouse, and Facing Captain Hook

      by , 12-24-2012 at 05:18 PM
12-24-2012 -- [Very cool dream, but a lot of running through passageways chasing stuff in a way that there aren't as many details to post as one might like. So a long, great dream that might not make as great a long dream post.]

Starts as almost a kind of live video game, where I seem to be wandering through a park-like area with a bunch of people I know (not friends, not enemies, just acquaintances). There are enough trees that there is a slight wooded feel, but nothing like forest. There are lots of colorful things flying around. The closest I can come is kind of a cross from a snitch from Harry Potter and Impetuous Implings from Runescape. These things come in a variety of bright colors, and look like the little flying imps, but they almost vanish from sight, move 'wicked fast' and make the slight tinging sound of a snitch in the HP movies.

Anyway, we're grabbing for these things, and they're dodging us. There are almost sort of paths through the woods, and I am taking a path further south, while many others are taking paths that are more north, except one other person that is following me south. It is sort of like a competition, and each of us is trying to be the one to grab more of the things. It is slightly messy and gross because we swat them and splat them, and get bits of bug guts all over our hands, but it is certainly kind of fun.

In another comparison to Runescape, the dream seems to slightly merge in strange rocks, as I think there are 15 varieties, and we have to catch two of each of them. But as we keep moving further west on the south path, the wood is soon morphing into a set of hallways in a large building, with hints of a layout kind of like a school, with rows of classrooms separated by narrow hallways, except the entire thing is completely enclosed. There are also hints of many of my old dreams that involve chasing through or hiding in a building, with hints of laboratory to it.

There's lots of running around, chasing these little things, jumping, diving, and generally doing all kinds of stunts to manage to grab each one before the other person does, and it is long, and very fun, but not detailed enough to write about, on a moment-by-moment basis. But it took a while, and was a lot of fun.

Slowly things continue to morph, until the building is becoming more a giant department store, with us running through different departments, and dodging between tall aisles of shelving and clothing racks and the like, again, similar to many chase dreams I've had in like settings, but fun. About this time, there is the first hint of personal flight, though it isn't too big of a deal, and doesn't claim too much of my attention, yet.

We've been moving more toward the east end of the store, but now we turn around, and are heading more west again. The competition is getting less and less friendly, and there is more and more slight hints of me being chased, rather than imps, but it still is fairly friendly. The store aisles are turning more into warehouse aisles, with racks of pallets stretching higher and higher, and the people chasing me becoming more and more military, as the dream begins to feel more and more like a specific warehouse dream I had lately that I will have to track down and try to link to. About this time I think I also run into a large fire-breathing (but flightless) dragon, which I have to dodge around.

So I am heading back to the west side of the warehouse again, and they seem to be closing it down for the day, as all the lights are off, and it is getting more and more dark. They are still running forklifts, however, and they have lights on them so they can see where they are going, as they approach the trucks for unloading.

At this point, I hear Abby Sciuto (from NCIS) calling out to me, and she is kind of hitching a ride on me, somehow half climbing on me, half just attaching herself to me. She thinks I have a forklift, and in the darkness, doesn't realize I'm just kind of half-flying, half-hovering around. But she is calling out to Gibbs and laughing and enjoying herself as I quickly swing through the area and around all the others, before heading back on the path toward the East, lighted end of the warehouse again.

As I reach the other side, I find myself kind of face to face with what seems to be Captain Hook, and he is threatening me. I say something back, which outrages and threatens him, and I am almost sure it is a movie quote, though I can't remember what it was. But anyway, he is challenging me to a fight which will involve flying and sword fighting (very Peter Pan), but it seems to be kind of a play, because he is climbing into a theatrical sort of flight harness, and they are bringing one over in my direction, as well. Need I say they are very shocked when I don't bother waiting, and just begin to fly on my own.

But the dream adapts quickly, and they are still bringing the harness to me, but it is quickly turning into more of a chain, and they are trying to chain me down, or perhaps chain me to the Captain Hook character, who is growing taller and taller by the moment, and is turning into more of a Galactus type of figure. I am dodging the guy with the harness, having my usual problem of him managing to just barely stay in reach, making it difficult to get away.

I finally do manage to break free, and since the Galactus character is now big enough that I have no chance of facing him head-on, I fly back into the warehouse to try and hide from him. Except the building has now turned into a fancy looking office building lined in nice red slate-like tiles, and I am dodging behind pillars and through large bathrooms, trying to gain distance and escape deeper in the building.

I suddenly have a premonition, and know what he's going to do, just before he does it, so I am not terribly shocked when he rips the entire building out of the ground and starts to twist it this way and that, and shake it, so he can manage to shake me out onto the ground where he can stomp on me.

[I know the last part sounds horrible, but the whole thing was neat, and a heck of a lot of fun!]

    9. A Sorta Hat-Trick

      by , 12-16-2012 at 03:21 AM
I found my self waking up and getting ready for school, I left in a rush and went to go car pool with my friend. I noticed after getting into the car I did not even bother getting out of my sleeping clothes and even walked outside with my blanket still around me. So I went back to my apartment to find something terrifying on my door, I saw an evict notice and then looked around and saw they had thrown only half of my stuff out of the apartment. I went inside and I saw they had removed all of the sanitary fixtures as well (Toilets, sinks, bathtubs). I started to get really scared and then I started thinking that I always pay my bills on time and this doesn't make any sense, and being evicted doesn't mean they will start throwing plumbing fixtures outside the apartment. At this point I realized I had to be dreaming and there was no way I was being evicted. I pushed my finger through my palm and realized it was a dream. Once I realized a dream I started to feel the world collapsing and I closed my eyes trying to stabilize the dream, I failed and the dream crashed. When I woke up I was in a totally new environment and had forgotten I achieved lucidity and I ended up with people I didn't know, I forgot why I did an RC here but I did and regained lucidity. I was in another families house and they were all staring at me smiling except the only one I payed any attention to was the little boy. I screamed "CLARITY NOW" and his face became more sharp, then I screamed "BRIGHTER COLORS" and his face had this greenish and purplish colored undertone. I waved my hand across his face trying to change the color on his face at will. When my hand passed his face hatched colored lines appeared around his face. Every time I waved my hand the colors of these lines would change but not his face, I was trying to change the colors to orange but it did not work, the colors changed to everything but orange. After I finished playing with this kids face I decided to fly out of their window. I ran towards the window and the blasted right out of it and straight to the clouds moving at incredible speeds, I could feel the power of my flying and the view of clouds everywhere was amazing, even while flying I yelled "CLARITY NOW" to make the clouds look sharper. I then changed direction and went straight down into the ocean, I was moving to fast to notice anything though even in the ocean. Then it ended and I woke up in my bed again thinking I just woke up from my lucid dream. Then my parents rang the doorbell and I let them inside, they came in and started complaining about how messy my apartment is and how there was shit on the counter-top. I never even noticed there was shit on the counter top, and I knew I could be a bit messy but shit on a counter top messy? I don't think so. I tried to do a reality check to see if I was dreaming and it actually didn't work this time. I don't know why it did not work but because it failed and I convinced my self I was not dreaming and this was reality, then the dream ended and here I am now on my laptop typing this journal. I basically had 3 lucid dreams, and every time a new dream started I lost lucidity and had to regain it (these dreams happened right after each other with little down time). I only wish I had experienced this before I feel like I could of done more with this lucid dream.

      lucid

I'm taking a nap before work and I'm dreaming that my alarm didn't go off. When I try to figure out what time it is, the numbers keep shifting around or include letters. There's a tv at the foot of my bed that isn't there IRL, at first I'm looking at a website and then it's a video on the television. I get out of bed and start walking into the living room, trying to use my phone to call work to let them know I'll be in as soon as I can.
I start to become suspicious that I'm dreaming. I think "This is all pretty weird. If I look at my phone again and the clock isn't there then I'm dreaming." I look. The clock is missing. "Yes!" I think. I make it into the living room. For some reason there are two televisions in there. One is playing a movie about a dog. Suddenly I'm really small. I try to return to normal size but instead I just start floating. I can't seem to make my feet stay on the ground. The movie is annoying so I try to turn it off. Nothing works.
"Off!" I say, pointing at the TV. Nothing. I try that again in a few different ways, even just believing the TV will turn off when I say doesn't work. I start to get pissed off that I can't do something so simple. The screen gets static bars across it. Then the sound of static is annoying. I focus on the sound and it ceases. The static increases. "Guess in here I have no subtlety. Leave it to me to just destroy something when I can't make it work the way I want..." both televisions gain more static, I clench my hand into a fist and they become pure static. I laugh a little and realize I'm wasting my time. I could be doing something fun right now! I see a small window over the sink in the kitchen out of the corner of my eye.
I run at it, the sky is a perfect blue with puffy white clouds. I want to be flying. I open the window and I start climbing out----

      My alarm goes off. sigh

    11. The Grocery Store

      by , 12-14-2012 at 03:52 AM
I found my self inside a grocery store observing some products, I'm not quite sure what enticed me to do a reality check but I decided to try pushing my fingers through my palm and to my amazement it worked and I realized everything was a dream. As soon as I realized it was a dream every thing started to shake and twist, I could feel the dream world collapsing. I closed my eyes in the dream world and focused on my self and clearing my mind. As I was focusing I briefly opened my eyes for one second just to see how the stabilizing was going to find something amazing, I saw the dream world swirling all around me and basically rebuilding itself. After I opened my eyes I felt my stability start to slide again because the seen was simply to chaotic to bear. I eventually regained control opened my eyes and I was back in the grocery store and I successfully achieved lucidity. I remained calm and yelled, "STABILIZE NOW!!" at the top of my lungs and everything became crystal clear, this is the first time I exert control to this degree on a dream it was simply unbelievable how clear everything became. I started to walk about and just inspect the dream world, there were other DC shopping in the mall but I was too busy trying to decide what to do next to even consider interacting with them. As I was walking I saw a window leading outside, I hastily decided to fly through the window smashing it and then flying around outside. I got ready to fly through the window and started running towards it when I noticed that there was a storm outside and it was very windy. I stopped my self from running but my momentum still kept me going a little bit and my foot passed through the window without breaking it. I pulled it out and decided to just stay in the grocery store and see what I could do. At this point I started trying a number of things unsuccessfully, I started to try to cast fireballs using the Ka-me-ha-me-ha hand gesture and failed every time. I even saw some coal suspended by a tray throwing sparks everywhere so I decided to try and harness some of the coals and sparks energy to build a fireball with my hands but that didn't work either. I then stopped trying and noticed a red hot coal fell on my hands, I felt no pain but naturally threw it away out of fear. I then stared at my hands for any damages and found none, no burning sensation and burned marks. I gave up on shooting fireballs and decided to try lifting objects and throwing them around in the grocery store with my mind, of-course this failed as well so I eventually gave up and kept moving. I wanted to experience a super power so the next one I tried was insane amounts of strength, I slapped a steel bar as hard as I could and nothing happened it didn't move. So then I decided to try something a bit creative I jumped and then landed down with a stomping motion and nothing happened as well, I tried it again and heard a loud sound of cracking tiles, I looked down and I had created a small crater below my feet, I exhibited super strength! After that I was satisfied and moved on to the main super power of them all, flying. I have no idea why but this came totally naturally to me, I set my mind on flying I smiled with confidence ran and then flew off the ground and around the grocery store, I even did acrobatic moves in mid-air spinning and sharp turns and still maintained flight. I noticed a cute girl sitting down on one of the benches in the store and try to impress her with my flying. There was a plat form above her so I flew there and slowly lowered my self in front of her with 1 knee up and the other leg down humming the theme song to "Superman" she smiled at me while I landed in front of her then I asked her if she wanted to have sex and she didn't say anything she just stared at me then the dream just ended lol.

    12. LD: Riding in a Horse Pulled Sleigh

      by , 12-08-2012 at 10:04 PM
Lucid Dream from end of November:

I was with a group of people watching some musicians. I recognized them as my high school jazz band. I looked closer (for some reason I was behind the group who were on some bleachers), and I could see Robert S playing his sax. Next to him was Korin, also playing a sax. I felt nostalgic watching and hearing them play. Then I thought , "Hey--why am I not there playing too? If Robert is playing, shouldn't I be playing too? And wait a second--why is Korin there? She didn't go to my high school...I didn't meet her until years later. Ohhh....I must be dreaming!"

And so I decided to take off flying. I thought about what task I might try to do. I knew I was nearing the end of the month and that I had gotten my "wings" for November's tasks. So I tried to think of a new task to do. I remembered that in the past one of the December tasks had been to fly in Santa's sleigh with him. I had never gotten that one done. I decided that that might be a fun one to try now.

I looked around me. I was in a city. How would I find Santa?

As I was trying to decide on a plan of attack a horse-pulled sleigh came around the corner. I was really happy to see it. I jumped on board. I suddeny didn't care if Santa was not here or that the sleigh wasn't flying. I climbed up to the very front of the sleigh and stood up at the highest point. I had to work hard to keep my balance as the horse raced down the street. It was very exhilerating, and I felt satisfied with this choice of task.

      1st Dream
I start off with a false awakening. My brother (who I do not live with) is in my room shaking me. At first I can't understand what he is saying. My parents burst into the room and start yelling at him for not doing his homework. Typical. I start to go through my old routine and actually wake up.

      2nd Dream
I am in a garage and I become lucid. I decide I would really like to drive some sort of really fast car. I open the garage door and there is some crazy looking sports car sitting in the driveway. I get in and start to drive. When I get up a little bit of speed I think to myself, "there's no way you are gonna make that turn at this speed" and I didn't. Crash and burn. Damn self conscious

      3rd Dream
I am at my grandparents house in their front yard and I am already lucid when the dream begins. I decide to try some summoning but cant manage to reach into my own pockets and pull out a pistol as I had hoped. I don't know why I always try to summon weapons. I guess summoning a lollipop or something seems a little underwhelming. Anyway I can't do it, but there is a girl DC that has been standing in the yard with me the whole time. She smiles at me and hands me a pistol. I shoot at mailboxes and then a deer. The deer turns to look at me, has the head of a girl, hisses, and runs away down the street. Fuckin weird. Next we go inside and my grandparents have a litter of puppies. I start petting them and naming them. They felt so real with heartbeats and all. Very vivid lucid. I wake up.

      4th Dream
I am at SAMs club following a girl DC who is leading me through the aisles. She loses me and I decide to fly up to the ceiling to look for her. For some reason I can't do it and the dream starts to fade. I kneel down and touch the floor to try to maintain the dream. The floor changes into this fancy mosaic tile with amazing texture. I float off the floor and I am no longer in SAMs. I have no idea where I was anymore. The entire ground as far as the eye could see was covered in these multicolored mosaic tile pictures. I just floated along looking at them and it was incredible.

      5th Dream
      Short Lucid
I become lucid in a strange building, kinda like a furniture store or something. I decide to try to walk up walls again to see if I can get better at it. I walk up the wall easily this time, but my perception of gravity changes to where the wall has become the source of gravity and everything in the store, including people, crashes to the wall I am standing on, which becomes the new floor. I awake right after that. Kinda cool though.

    15. First flight here

This is my first ever entry on DV. Welcome to myself

I had just got the Remee lucid dreaming mask and had programmed it to go off 2.5 hours after I went to sleep.

The lights did flash but it ended up waking me up so I dialed down the brightness and went back to sleep, setting it for 2.5 hours later.

This time I remember waking up and not seeing lights and I could hear birds outside so I assumed that it was close to dawn, so I set the mask for a nap timer and went back to sleep.

Yet again the lights went off and I woke up because of them, so I just took the mask off and tried to go back to sleep.

I was dreaming that I was some kind of agent running from the law. I was in some kind of hill town because the roads were going uphill and there were switchbacks leading up where I could see the road going up. I was thinking of where I could crash for the night or just put up my Kammok and sleep. I remember seeing some kind of hall where I thought I could put up the Kammok.

Soon after that I don't quite remember what happened but I had jumped off the hill and was flying in the air as if I was paragliding (I know how to). I saw that I could control the movement and that's when I realized I was lucid. I did my lucidity test by pressing my finger into my palm but it was the same as if I was awake - I could feel the finger pressing on my palm and not pushing itself through. I repeated the test and then I said, forget it, let's just enjoy what's going on.

I saw that there was no paraglider on top of me - it was just empty sky. But I could control my direction and altitude like I could in a regular paraglider. Just that in this case, I didn't really need to look for upward wind or anything - i was just flying effortlessly. I was flying over a small river through a colorful jungle. There was not much space to maneuver but I was doing well. I was enjoying being aware of the dream and the fact that I was flying because I really like to fly in dreams.

I was ambling about here and there navigating along the river and I remember seeing some ropes hanging from somewhere. I craned my neck to see where they were suspended from but I couldn't see anything and then I woke up.

Nice, fun first experience. The Remee didn't really induce the lucid dream but I'm happy as long as I had one.
