    1. Third LD >:D (After I didn't have any for like 8 months lol)

      by , 08-30-2012 at 02:07 AM (Dimension X)
Ok so I had about 2 successful LDs a few weeks ago... And just had another last night. Although this one was short because I had to wake myself up on purpose... Mainly because it was... Kinda bad. So I was in the dream, laying in my bed again and it was very dark but there was still a little bit of light. So I turn my head left (which is the most strength I've had so far lol) And there's a weird black ball floating next to my bed (just above the mattress), And I can see it's kinda shiny. At first it didn't seem like such a big deal, but then it started to make random growling noises. ...A bad LD? And I was obviously scared so I forced myself to wake up. I don't know why it seemed so scary to me at the time, because now it just seems stupid. I could have stayed in the dream longer, but as I said, I had to force myself to wake up because I was just too scared. I'm just happy that it's another LD. The more I have, the better. All I actually do to get LDs it seems, is just go to sleep normally but still have the idea and want of an LD in my head... Weird... But it works...

    2. The Lucid Dream from Hell!

      by , 08-29-2012 at 05:11 PM
08-16-2012 -- [This was a lucid dream where even knowing I was dreaming and had strange dream powers, I couldn't seem to do anything to make it a good dream. Very depressing, and was asking to die in the dream by the end of it. Miserable.]

In an elevator, going somewhere, but no idea where. I am 3/4 asleep, and can barely open my eyes. Some black lady asks me if I am at my floor, or if I am going back down as she exits the elevator. There are a couple more floors, but back down I go, no clue as to what is going on.

I think I am in a movie theater for a few seconds, then I find myself in a 7-Eleven, thinking about the mystery shop I just did. I took four or five pictures of either the ads or the trailers in the theater, then left. In the very low lighting inside the 7-Eleven (its the middle of the night, and while they are open, they don't want the lighting to disturb people) I am trying to read a newspaper and take a good picture of my ticket stub as a receipt. Problem is, the lighting is just too bad.

I move to some brighter light just by the door, and set my stuff up. I am just about to take the picture, when a bunch of obnoxious kids come in and start jostling the table. One of them sits down on my stuff, and they all wonder why I seem to be mad at them.

Suddenly we're outside, standing by a ditch and I am trying to explain everything to them, how they messed up my picture and sat on my stuff, and they just don't care, so I give up. I find some of my stuff is scattered and laying in the dirt and mud in and around the drainage ditch, and looking at a broken pair of glasses, trying to remember if they are mine. I don't think so, they don't look right.

Suddenly I find myself in a bedroom, no idea where. It is weird, and dimensions are stretched and warped. It is huge, and empty, no furniture. Well, nothing except a mirror. The odd thing is, I glance in the mirror and I see a reflection of the room, but with all kinds of furniture, and looking cheery and pleasant, rather than dark and miserable. I see a huge clown coming, and she tells me to be patient, things get better.

Suddenly I find myself being 'attacked' by a circus tiger, except it just wants to cuddle a little bit. There are elephants, giraffes, and other animals just wandering around in this huge, empty room of mine. Bonnie C is here, but she is just sitting there, muttering to herself.

The clown walks past, but she is now dressed as a naughty nurse, all in white, really short skirt, and very attractive. Now this is more like it! I follow her as she walks into a doctor's office, and she is speeding up, almost like she is trying to escape. By this point I know I am dreaming, so when she goes through a door and locks it, I run right through it at full speed, and pass through as if it weren't there.

I catch up to her among some office cubicles and am trying to kiss her and start having some fun. A doctor walks into the room, and because I don't want him to see me, he can't, but since I'm all over the nurse, who he can see, and she is struggling, he knows something is up. "He's here, isn't he?" he asks. Then comes over and starts to wrestle with me, even though he can't see me.

I try to explain. I'm dreaming, I know I'm dreaming, and shouldn't I be able to have some fun? I point to the nurse's gorgeous bare ass, her fanny right in front of my face, and say "Answer honestly, if you're in a dream, face to face with this, would you not take advantage of the situation?" He is honest, and admits he probably would, but tells me she is not for me. I get nothing except the very minor feel I have already copped.

She leads me back to the floor of the dark, empty, huge bedroom, and stays right there, taunting me with her presence. Obnoxious. To hell with this, I start to feel her up again, and she is not happy. Just before I can get anywhere, I get distracted by a caterpillar dressed up as a clown, climbing on me. A green dog comes bouncing up, then disappears, and the doctor is here, still protecting the nurse. He looks slightly different, and I realize he is also the dog.

I start to whine about how I don't get to have anything, even in my dreams, and start to beg to die. They have nothing helpful to say to me. They tell me to get something to eat, and now there is a plain table with a picnic basket on it. I walk up to it and there is some weird guy standing there singing a song about hiding bad food in with the good, and burying chewed clean chicken wing bones under a couple of loaves of stale bread.

      This dream sucks!

    3. First LD

      by , 08-28-2012 at 12:44 AM
I am standing in my room next to my bed. I know that I am dreaming because I had an instant transition from laying in bed to my current position.

I run down the stairs past my cat (who is sitting in mid-air ) to the front door and look out the window. It is dark outside, but still light enough to see everything clearly. I unlock the door, turn the knob, and think, "What if I'm not dreaming?" which scares me and gets my heart rate up. I looked back out the window and noticed a motorcycle in the front yard (with only the rear wheel) which reassures me that I am dreaming, because we don't own one. I calm down and concentrate on a beach, trying to teleport there as I open the door. This doesn't work, which frustrates me. I see a short, hooded person standing in the yard (closest I can relate him to is a goblin) and ask him why I can't teleport. He motions to follow him, which I do - around to the side of the house. I see a large cluster of crystals. the "goblin" then pretends to throw one of them to the ground. I say thanks, pick one up, throw it to the ground, and yell "the beach!" as it shatters into a cloud of smoke. I am now at a beach, staring at the waves. I get so exited to have done it that I wake up.

    4. My wife.

      by , 08-27-2012 at 06:16 PM (Zechariah's Dream Journal)
So, for the past fiew days I've been dabbling in different induction methods of lucid dreaming. Last night though, after quite an unhealthy dry spell of my lucid's I told my wife to wake me up around three in the morning when she would be going to sleep. She woke me up, I had a glass of water and a little talk- and then attempted to combine the WBTB, WILD, and audio induction methods all at the same time to try to overdrive my mind into remembering to remain conscious.
And praise God it did! I became lucid in a dream of my own house. My wife and I walked into the restroom, and for the sake of my enphatuation with both her and the state of being lucid, I excitedly started explaining the mechanics of what was going on to her dream character. I told her, once we open that door- we can be anywhere, doing anything we want. It's up to you.
She simply said, "I want to go back in time. Two days.". Naturally, that sounds rediculous when you have the full arsonal of my subconscious on the loose in our current realm, but I went a long with it because of it's special meaning. Yesterday, in the day time we had gotten into the worst fight of our relationship. It was a stammering, on the edge conflict that nearly broke us appart, but we made it through with an even stronger stride. So I opened the door, and we went back in time. Before we fought. Before we said things. It was a nice dream to have, even though it completely distracted me from my dream-state studies. I would have it again if I could. After that I had a false awakening, told my wife's second dream character about the first dream, and then it got strange and unorganized. There were a scene where her and I pulled into a dead end street with a bunch of husky Charlie's Angel looking guys parked around my truck (I don't have a truck in real life). One of them came up to me and started talking shit. So I reached for my keys, closed my door and took off. I think I ran over his foot, because him and a group of his friends started riding towards me. I turned out on the main freeway, just to realize that the freeway had turned into a mall... I was driving my truck through a mall, accedently hitting people. So I skidded to a stop, and walked up to a desk where... my wife and I began to casually go about banking business. Then later after a somewhat dark period, I remember being down the street from my house at night time. It was halloween, or something like that I suspected. It was an eerie setting, things started touch me out of nowhere and taunt me so I began walking away and noticed little stuffed dolls on the ground as if someone had been chucking them towards me. Half way back to my house I noticed a group of idiot teenagers giggling about it, so I climbed up the fense about to confront them- but instead just laughed it off and went home. I had some later dreams, but nothing concrete enough to report on. Thanks for reading!
    5. First True Success

      by , 08-27-2012 at 08:54 AM
Success! Finally! Fully lucid with control.

The first, non-lucid part of the dream was about a museum sort of thing. Lots of details I can get to later.

I left there and was running with a couple of other girls. Running in dreams is an in-between for flying for me. I was making my strides longer and jumping higher each time. Soon I was sort of moon-jumping, purposefully making my way toward flying. Then I decided to fly. I was in the middle of a large jump and just before starting to come down, I felt the slightly dizzying lift in the pit of my stomach that always accompanies the beginning of flight. And at the same time, I started moving toward lucidity.

I was looking at a tree when it happened. It takes strongly believing it will actually happen for me to fly in dreams, and usually some sign to myself that I really believe it. In this case, instead of looking down to make sure I wouldn't run into any of the branches, I looked up. Then I shot way up into the air, high above the city. I was flying toward the top of a sky scraper, and I knew I was asleep. I thought, "I'm dreaming. I'm dreaming." My test for whether I'm asleep is to snap my fingers and open my hand, and if there's an apple there I know I'm asleep. I tried it. I couldn't seem to produce an apple. I said, "Apple. Apple!" a few times, trying to get it to work. I was a little frustrated with that, but it didn't really matter, because I already knew I was asleep and it was time to enjoy it. I flew up above the sky scraper and toward a small cloud, making circles around it before diving toward the ground.

I'm a little fuzzy on what happened next. I ended up back in the museum place. I was sitting on the very top shelf of some display or other thinking about what to do next. "I could steal all the jewels in this museum," I thought, "and find out what it's like to be rich." I hopped off of float on my back and fall very gently toward the ground. Then I woke up.

    6. Dream Object + Zip Lining (DEILD)

      by , 08-26-2012 at 04:41 AM
      Woke up on 8/18/2012
*Only remember fragments of first dream

      Successful DEILD

      1) I’ m at a zip lining place with my sisters and there are three difficulties. There is a small body of water and the zip lines zigzag across it. They are only about one-and-a-half body lengths above the water and they are made up of one very long zip line which is hooked on to pieces of the rocky wall surrounding the water to make the zigzag pattern. We are at the side of the easiest one and I complete it with ease. As I approach the end of the first line I quickly pull the pulley up somehow and land it on the next line. As I reach the end of the medium difficulty zip line I prepare to jump the device to the hard difficulty zip line, but I start swinging wildly as I approach it. I decide not to let go and the pulley slides back to the beginning of the medium difficulty zip line. I try to regain my balance in order to try again. When I reach the wall I try to kick off and keep my momentum straight forward. I swing wildly again as I approach the hard zip line and slide back to the beginning once more. After failing twice, I decide that I need to jump diagonally towards a ledge that is next to the hard difficulty zip line. I reach the start once more, kick off as hard as I can, and slide quickly toward the ledge. I let go of the pulley and leap off the zip line hoping that I will have enough momentum to carry me to the ledge. I reach out, but I am not able to grab the ledge. Instead, I end up on a huge blue bucket with no lid which stands in the water next to another bucket. I have a firm grip since my elbows are hooked over the edge, but the tall bucket begins to lose balance and I’m sure I will fall. I hear my sister say something along the lines of “Aw! Well, falling in the water doesn’t mean you lose”. Then, I try to shift my weight upwards and bring my arms further into the bucket and, miraculously, it regains balance and I’m able to climb up on the rocky ledge with some difficulty (I kind of wanted to try the hard zip line though).

      DEILD
I am slightly awake in real life, but I am very sleepy since I had woken up in the middle of the night. I was probably half asleep because I don’t remember any real life images since I probably never opened my eyes. Somehow I was still able to think clearly and I seized the opportunity to attempt to imagine a dream scene, though I didn’t think about the fact that I was DEILDing. I didn’t have any specific dream scene in mind but I just told myself over and over to imagine a lucid dream scene. Almost immediately, the dream starts to fade in and I am fully lucid.

      2) I see Bobby Lee as a realtor next to a doorway leading to a room in a house. He is in a light yellow buttoned shirt which has blurry white lines mixed into it tucked into what I believe are whitish-yellow pants secured with a brown belt. Somehow, I get the feeling that he knows I’m lucid. Though I was fully lucid, I could still feel the slightest bit of consciousness. I believed Bobby was telling me to go along with the dream story so that I could be fully enveloped in the dream and still remain lucid. He tells me to try to sell the house to two people and beckons me inside the room. I walk inside and describe the room to the old Asian couple as they looked around. To maintain lucidity, I said or did something while looking out a window to my right. Bobby peeked through the doorway and told me to describe it some more and I obliged. After doing this I was confident I was fully asleep and would not wake up so I looked out the window and prepared to find my dream object. Through the window, countless things were going on. Though there was a small field of vision, I could somehow see a zoo, a hangar (There are two hangars outside of my neighborhood in real life), tanks, school buses and trucks driving next to the tanks, futuristic planes in the sky, and roads with bustling cars everywhere. There was so much going on, yet I didn’t feel any sense of chaos. I yelled out, “I want to be guided or led to my dream object” (This is explained in the dream notes in section 2). Suddenly, I see a small object fall from the sky. It travels through the window next to the one I was looking through and landed in my room (The room in the house became my real room at this point). I pick up the object excited to see what it would be. I look at it and I become immensely disappointed. It is some kind of orange/black band made of rubber with a small screen. It almost looks like a watch or a pedometer, but the band looks like it’s meant to go around a finger (To put it into perspective, imagine a tiger printed watch meant to go around your finger instead of your wrist. Don’t imagine too many lines, though. The face of the device was mostly orange and there were a few waves of black on the edges). I knew the device wasn’t a watch or pedometer and I was hoping that my dream object would be something I could easily find in real life. I called out again saying something like, “C’mon! Give me another one!” hoping for a better result. Something else flew down and I picked it up. It was the same object and I became annoyed. I walked back to the window and, for some reason, said that I wanted something more sophisticated (What an odd word choice. I think I meant to say “meaningful”). I saw something fly past my vision to the other window. I walked back and picked up the object. It was a square version of the original object. I looked on the back to see what it was. There were letters carved out of the rubber, and since they were the same color and material as the device itself, they were a little hard to read. I see the word “yoyo” and a few other letters after it which I could not make out. I concluded that the device was meant to be attached to a Yoyo and could somehow count or judge the Yoyo tricks while you played with one. I looked out the window at all the commotion and asked what my big dream object was. I thought that you only had one dream object, but I decided it was worth a shot and that if I had a big object that I could take a picture of in real life, it would be better than nothing at all. Letters were shown in the road below. I don’t remember what they said, but after reading them I looked up towards the area where there were tanks and buses. I remember thinking it was one of those and I think I asked if it was a school bus (I may have said something else). The word “ZOO” appeared on the road and I looked at the zoo. My sister was next to me all of a sudden and told me I was looking at the wrong place and that I was supposed to look at a car near the zoo. Suddenly, I was in one of the bustling cars on the road and there was no roof or window (I was probably in a convertible). I looked at the road and I think I asked for a hint. A text appeared on the road and, though we were moving fast, the text remained in the same relative position to me. There was a transparent image of a car top sign with a moving LED text on it that said “NO TRESPASSING” and I assumed it meant that was my dream object was a car that had those words on it. For some strange reason, I thought of a Toyota. I asked my sister what type of Toyota had that and if a Corolla was the right answer. She said she didn’t know, so I decided to just guess all the Toyota cars I could until I found the right one. I looked down at the road and asked if it was a Toyota Corolla and a text appeared that said “WILD GUESSES” or something with the word “GUESS” or a form of it in the text. I got the sense that I was being told that I wasn’t supposed to randomly guess to find out and that my dream guide had nothing else to say to me for the time being. My dream faded out around this time.

      Dream Notes:

      2) I watched a video by ReeceJones87 on YouTube about dream bridging. In the video he said that to find a dream object someone is supposed to say "I want to be guided or led to my dream object" while lucid. He also said that your dream object could be big or small and that if it is too big or does not belong to you then you can take a picture of it instead of taking it with you. In my dream I was disappointed with the same object so I decided to ask for a bigger one in order to get a different result.

    7. My beautiful bay area.

      by , 08-25-2012 at 09:04 AM (Zechariah's Dream Journal)
      Entry #1

I was walking down a sidewalk that lead all the way around a large circular bay. The area was an industrious kind, with average sized sky scrapers and corperation buildings. The immediate view made the dream what it turned out to be.
I knew I was in my head, but this place was too serene and beautiful to lose any surreal value. Lifting up in the air, I looked around to see a cruise ship docked in the water bellow me, and I decided to warm up with the simpler push and pull movements. I reached my hand towards the ship to direct of movement and it began to slide forward and gain speed- all until it crashed on the other side of the bay, shattering a wooden dock and part of the sidewalk it was connected to. So I flew over the clearest of layered waters I’ve seen first hand, towards a building that needed to be changed, all the while trying to figure how I was going to change it, and attempting to convince myself I already knew how to change it.
Because of the amplified thought process dreams bring, if you find a reason to believe that you are already capable of accomplishing a certain feat, you’ll be suprised at what revalations you might have in the mechanics of getting it done. Is that an answer to induction of revelation?- and is it the entrance to a unlocking a larger percentage of the brain mass we don’t consciously use?

    9. Attempted Flying & Exporing + Soda Machine Hack (Lucid, Reality Checks, WILD)

      by , 08-24-2012 at 07:39 PM
      Woke up on 8/17/12
*Only remember fragments of some dreams
*Before the following dreams I had other lucid dreams. However, since I can’t remember the old ones I will only count the ones I remember into my total.
*My lucidity carried over from previous dreams, so I tried to remember to do reality checks in the following dreams.

      Successful WILD
      Successful reality checks

      In no particular order:

      1) The first thing I can remember is that I was in some plain area with fencing around it (The floor was probably just dirt). I remember being lucid in previous dreams so I attempted to hold on to my lucidity. I did a hand reality check and my hand seemed normal but because I was already lucid I tried to force something to happen. Soon my hands attached to each other and I had four fingers on the left side and three on the right. I don’t understand why I was so determined to perform a reality check when I was already lucid. I probably just wanted reassurance. I attempted flying first by jumping a few times, and I got higher and higher like I expected. Somehow, gravity was pulling me down and though I tried to fight it by jumping over and over I was unable to overcome it. It was as if there was a height limit and I wasn’t able to pass it. I was back to where I began my flying attempt and this time I tried to swing my arms up as hard as I possibly could. I did this a few times and went up higher than I expected, but after a brief moment of floating I could feel gravity pulling me down again. Once again I was back where I started and I began jumping again, but instead I turned a little to the left so that I was looking at the corner of the fence and I jumped forward bouncing myself over the fence and over a few small pieces of scenery that I cannot remember clearly. There was one obstacle that I believe was a wall. It looked green and I remember thinking that I wasn’t going to make it over, but I don’t remember what happened. The dream must have ended.

      2) Like the previous dream, I was lucid from dreams that happened early in my sleep and tried to hold on to that lucidity. I was in some building with gray was walls, though the mood wasn’t at all scary or depressing. I was standing in the middle of what I can best describe as a doorway without a door in it. It was simply an opening into another room. The opening was about 10 feet wide and the walls were about half a foot to a foot thick. I looked down at my hands once again, trying to assure myself that I was lucid. I tried to concentrate on something being wrong with them and I think that eventually they did become odd in some way (I think I just keep looking and eventually I could see another finger on my left hand). The dream faded before I knew it.

3A) I was in my taekwondo class and people were practicing with nunchucks. I don’t remember many details besides the people who were there. When we were done my mom gave my friend a ride to our house. I went to the bathroom while he used our computer, but the view was of him at the computer.

*The following dream is somehow connected to the previous dream. It may be an alternate series of events starting from getting in the car.

3B) I am outside of a supermarket (I assume it is a Wal-Mart. This is explained in the dream notes in Section 3.1B). I get in my mom’s car and we are about to take someone home (Instead of being the friend from taekwondo he is a guy who used to go to my school). He gets out of the car and starts talking to his friends. While we are waiting he turns into a female dream character without me realizing it. I ask if she is coming and she waves us off. My mom begins driving and as the dream went on, I went from traveling in a car to pushing a shopping cart on foot. At one point, I push the shopping cart into a thin wooden board that was resting on a wire fence at a steep angle hoping to drive it over the wire fence by using the board (I don’t realize how odd my attempt is. The board was almost parallel to the fence). It doesn’t work, so I decided to back up to get more momentum. I run faster attempting to push the cart over the fence once again. It goes higher, but I am still unsuccessful. I leave the cart behind and easily climb over the fence. Behind it is a type of junkyard area with tan-colored dirt and a couple of tall huts made of some material of the same color (maybe even the same dirt) surrounding the area. The huts rest on a wall of dirt that surrounds the small area. I find it boring and proceed to different areas. As I explore I see elaborate playgrounds in different directions. One was in the distance in a wooded area. The playground was made of tall logs and had pointy roofs. I kept exploring and the biomes changed very quickly (in a way very similar to how biomes change in Minecraft. I’m in a grassy area one moment and ahead I would see a circular area of sand connecting to the beach; once I’m off the sand, there would suddenly be grass again. I eventually make it to some playground for a short period of time then start traveling again. For some reason, I’m looking for my school at one point. I reach it and the dream gets gray; it looks like it does on a cloudy afternoon. I go down one hallway and walk inside the office, though it looks nothing like the office in my school. I see two soda machines and two snack machines and I end up with wet paper towels in my hand which I try to stuff up the change compartment of the vending machines (This is explained in the dream notes in section 3.2B). A student next to me is doing the same and I make a comment about how I am surprised that he has also heard of the trick. I then say that I heard about it yesterday from a guy I knew. Behind us was a room with glass windows surrounding it. There were thin support beams in between the windows. My mom was sitting at a table in the room with two sodas.

      Dream Notes:

General: The previous day, I performed more reality checks than I have ever done in one day. This contributed immensely to my lucidity and high level of awareness.

3.0B) I watched an episode of Wildest Police Videos the day before this dream. In one clip a man and his son were pulled over, but shot the cop and drove away. The police surrounded their car outside of a Wal-Mart and shot them. The scene in my dream was exactly the same as the scene in the clip (aside from the violence, cop cars, and guns of course).

3.1B) I volunteer at Habitat for Humanity. A guy I know there who is doing community service was getting a soda the day before this dream. He started talking to us about how he used to stuff paper towels up the change compartment to catch the change and take it out at the end of the day to see how much money would come out. This is what I was doing in the dream.

    10. My first two lucid dreams! <3

      by , 08-23-2012 at 06:54 PM (Exterminate)
I was sort of depressed that I could not recall any dreams from the night before. I woke up about 6:20 judging how no-one was awake, and I never heard the alarm. 10 minutes pass, then the 6:30 alarm goes off, wakes my brother up(As you can likely guess, we share a room), it causes a lot of noise.. I decided it would be a good morning to try a WILD. I laid down for a few minutes(felt like 20-30) then felt really relaxed. I start saying "I WILL have a lucid, I WILL have a lucid." After about two minutes sleep paralysis hit, and I thought of my living room, said to myself "stabilize lucidity", and the lucid dream starts.

      First lucid:
I was standing in my living room. It was so clear and vivid that I couldn't believe it. I thought to myself how I was lying in bed just a moment ago, and now here I am in a new place. A new world surrounding me. I walked into my parents' room, there I saw a light bulb in a socket on the wall which didn't belong there. I unscrewed it, then held it in my hand trying to light it up as it was in its socket a second ago. I failed..I then went around the corner to see my dad playing Zynga's Frontierville (a game which he has never played before), he asks me how to obtain a whip then I lose interest. I go back to the living room, close my eyes for a second to change scenery, and woke up.

Seems to be a mix of layer two and layer three lucid dream since I got pretty distracted by what my dad was doing. I wonder if I woke up due to my dream time being over, excitement, lack of goals, or because of my waking environment. Like I said, me and my brother share a room, and since he was already awake, he started making noise. He also had the light on right above me which may have prevented a deep sleep.
I fell back asleep after like 45 minutes. Not sure just what this dream started with..

      Second lucid-A mansion, with prisoners:
I appear to be in a lab with like 4-5 scientists around me. I am a guinea pig for a new piece of technology that would allow you to enter into lucid dreams at will from a waking state. Sort of like doing a WILD, but with technology, making it more akin to EILD. I get this chip that you hold in your hand, it supposedly makes you lucid. So I go into what looks/feels like a tanning bed, hold the chip in my hands and fall asleep quick.
I "wake up" in this huge mansion of sorts. I seem to know in the back of my mind it is a dream, but I lose focus on that and get involved with the story instead. I moderate a minecraft server, and it seems a bunch of my friends from the server are in a prison, apparently being kept there by another player and antagonist on the server called EnderMilk. After some effort, I find him, but try to keep my distance. I phase through a wall to see the prisoners, and they look so helpless. I try to find a way to help them. I go back inside the mansion through a window, but the dream destabilizes and I wake up for real.

Well, two lucid dreams, even if they were kinda short-lived it is a start!

After looking back on these experiences, it seems the second dream was more of a mix of layer zero and layer two just barely. This is one of those experiences where people think they dream of being lucid rather than actually being lucid.

    11. Lucidity...?

      by , 08-22-2012 at 09:44 PM (Burke's Nightly Escapades)
Apparently I got lucid last night but all I wrote down was this:

Lucid in old burned down basement. Keep having to lick walls to stay lucid. Trying to solve why it's burned down. Have a FA, mess around with powers and focus.

Too bad I don't remember the dream nor writing that down. It doesn't sound too awesome though

    13. zombie and vampire apocolypse dream

      by , 08-21-2012 at 06:21 AM
I was in a depart. Store with nobody I had ever meant before, all a sudden we were on top of the roof of the store and we were protecting two devices that could kill vampires and zombies one was a shimmering heart of some sort the other was a generator/water heater device that had a giant wood plank attached to it as the control panel. But the vampires found out about us protecting it and jumped up towards the roof destroys the shimmering heat by squeezing it then jumps back off, I tried to stop the mystery vampire that appears in my dream on more than one occasion but came up too short. We all wondered if the second device.would do the trick but.could only be charged once we started programming it and I realized I was dreaming then woke up.

    15. The Computer Thief and the Grocery Store Zombies

      by , 08-19-2012 at 05:43 PM
I woke up in my bedroom, but there was no usual light coming from my window. I went into the hallway, and noticed that we had a staircase. This was weird, I lived in a single floor home. I went to my brothers room and found that my cousins were there visiting. My brother was not there. "Wanna play football?" Said one of them. I was transported to a football field. There was a crowd and everything, and I was on a team of people I did not know. I made 3 touchdowns and won the game for my team, whoever they were. After the game I was back in my room. I went outside, where I found my computer and desk in the front yard. There were pine trees all around, and all the nearby houses were gone except for one. I sat at the desk and turned on the computer, which was a blank screen. I then noticed a little boy standing there.
"Hi there. What is your mom doing over there?" I said, pointing to an old black lady swinging a golf club.
"Oh, she's just getting ready to rob you." The boy replied. His mother came up to me, holding the club. She told the boy to go home. I looked up at her, and saw her crazed expression on her face.
"You are being robbed. Give me that computer!" She said.
I reached for my crowbar that was on my desk. I stood up and smacked it into her face. "No, this is my computer. I paid good money for it and you didn't earn this." I said.
"Well... I guess you're right. See this? It's my laptop. I hate this old thing, I can't even load a youtube video!" She said, pulling an old Dell laptop from her bag.
"Too bad. Go get a new one with your own money." I then swung my crowbar into her face again. She didn't seem hurt at all. She just walked away, and went back inside her house. After such a strange ordeal, I decided to test if I was dreaming, as I do every day. I plugged my nose and tried to breathe through it, and for the first time, it worked. All of the sudden, clarity snapped into place. All the things around me became instantly real, in such a way that I cannot even describe. I at first wanted to jump up and scream to the world how amazing it was, but I realized that doing this would wake me up. I calmly went back inside to tell the other fake people, when my brother came out.
"Austin," he said, "Can I play the computer now?" This poor figure of my imagination was just as addicted to the computer as he is in real life I thought to myself.
"No, you aren't real. Now go back inside!" I said to him. He simply sighed and said, "Dang it..." and walked away. I was still very excited about being in my first lucid dream. I tried to fly. I jumped into the air, and willed myself forward. It worked. It was like being on a zip-line, but without anything to support you. I was so amazed and happy about it, that I lost my focus, and crashed down into the concrete. The pain I felt was so very real, but did not last long thankfully. I tried many more times, with similar results. I gave up and went inside. My cousin, Josh, came up to me.
"Congratulations on your first lucid dream. How does it feel?" He said to me. Knowing he was not real, I still played along.
"It's awesome! I could do this all night." I replied to him. I decided not to get into a fight about who's real and who isn't. I floated upstairs, and passed a bathroom. I covered my eyes as I passed it. I was afraid that by looking in a mirror I would cause a nightmare. I opened my eyes when I was past it. Curious about what dream tests really worked, I tried some. I covered my mouth and nose again, and breathed. That seemed to work just fine. Then I tested the "look at your hands" technique. I looked down at my hands, and noticed that they were so realistic, that if I did not know any better I would think I was awake. The only flaw was that I was missing two fingers. I tried to summon somebody, so I said out loud, "Bring me my best friend," to nobody in particular. Instantly, my best friend from 8th grade appeared. He was just as real as he was in life.
"Nice weather today isn't it?" He said. I wanted to reply but he disappeared shortly. I flew downstairs and went outside. By then I had been in the dream for a while, almost 15 minutes. I looked at a digital clock, and it made no sense at all. It read "2G:F&Y". I looked away, then back again. This time it said "SCREW YOU". I laughed at this, and with lightning speed, ran down the road heading for a town. I got there in an instant, and entered a Target store. Inside I explored the virtual reality, making short reality checks to ensure I did not lose my lucidity. 5 minutes or so passed and I was growing bored. I decided to try something my cousin Josh would do. I went to the check out, where a bored teen girl was. She obviously was tired of the mundane routine of working at a register. I shouted in her face, "GET EVERYONE OUT OF HERE THERE ARE ZOMBIES ALL OVER THE PLACE!!!".
"Dude... what is your problem?" She replied in a monotone voice. I looked around, noticing that there really were zombies all around me. Much more than I expected. I used superhuman strength and lasers from my hands to defeat the zombies, but more came. "This is so fun..." I thought to myself. I fought more and more zombies until the dream was over.
