1. 3 dreams, one night :)

by , 04-12-2011 at 03:17 PM (The weird dreams of Appe96)
Note: I went to bed dead tired last night, so I got a terrible dream recall.

Dreams:

1: My english teacher told my class about the new grades( Sweden will introduce a new grade system this year IRL but I will get those grades in 1½ year.) She told us that my class would get them today. She also told us that it was hard to get high grades. Even the ones that have got an A in the old grades would get an D. She told me later that I was about to get an E.

2: I fucked a girl in a classroom. After a while someone came in, and told me that the girl that I fucked was older than me, and that she will get charge for rape.

3: I was in a classroom and had a lesson. Suddenly I see my firend who look realy badass(In the dream.) She introduce me to her twin( She dosen't have a twin IRL.)
2. To the moon & back again.. Sort of. + Other

by , 04-12-2011 at 12:07 PM (My otherworldly experiences.)
Lucid = orange

Background info: Previous to this I had had a dream where I was in my old school again. I don't remember too much of it but the last thing I was doing was flying around the lower school playground showing off to a younger friend of mine, and messing around with 'fly boxes' as we called them, which were basically those things you hold on to and they lift you in the air. Then I woke up during this.

I'm not sure what happened next. I either did a WILD or achieved a DEILD. Basically as I was going back to sleep I got those memory impression things (I was conscious, too) which happen when you're drifting off, although one of them suddenly turned consistent (if you get what I mean) and I found I was in a dream and not trying to go to sleep any more.

I'm back in the same place I was before, only everybody has gone and I'm alone standing on top of room 26 in the lower school playground. I crouch down quite surprised at the fact I just managed whatever it was I just did and start taking in note of what I can to ground my lucidity, e.g. what I can see around me, what the floor and my hands feel like, what I can hear around me, etc.
When I think I'm planted firmly enough into the dream I decide what I'm going to do. I was flying around last time so I decide I'm going to go down that road this time, and remember I wanted to go to the Moon at some point. There was something about where I was that I didn't like, as well. I think it was a noise. It made me feel a little scared but I just dismissed it and continued with my intentions. I then jumped up and found myself hovering in the air and then tried to get higher by flapping my arms but it was a little hard to move them. I then recalled that anything can be done purely by will, so I took note of that fact and didn't worry about my arms in case I woke up or something and just willed myself up, and sure enough, I started soaring into the air very fast until I found myself looking down on planet Earth with the Moon in sight.

At this point I found it harder to proceed and was starting to slip back into the Earth, but I just dismissed that and willed myself harder to go forward, and I was then speeding towards the Moon.
Upon entry, it was rather strange, as I was descending through darkness and a forest of trees. I kind of felt uncomfortable here, as I was in an alien place to me in which I could barely see, but I just reassured myself it would be fine as I was only dreaming.
When I finally landed, the first thing I saw were dozens of strange looking giraffes just wandering about. I heard a voice too, which said something like ''Now you can claim your own
(can't remember the name)'' but basically these Giraffes weren't actually Giraffes but something else. My surroundings were rather swamp like, sort of like Dagobah in Star Wars but more lit up, and there were more creatures roaming past me as well, including various dinosaurs such as raptors and t-rex's.
After a while I decided I didn't like this place and wanted to go back to Earth, so I started flying up. On the way I was joined by a couple of huge flying dinosaurs which unnerved me and I tried to get past them as quick as possible. However, things didn't go to plan and one of them decided to swallow me whole.

I then 'woke up', although it was actually a false awakening. I didn't register that though and lost lucidity.

The next dream(s) are just random bits I can remember which happened afterwards:

I'm at my older sister Leah's house (although it's not actually her house, but a random one). She's set up some DOOM style game for me and a couple of others. There's also loads of food darted about which we're free to eat as much of as we'd like. We all have pistols, and our job is to take out the boss in the kitchen or something (which I think was a cat). I recall trying to find a better gun, e.g the shotgun, all the way through but I had no luck. The end result was that we couldn't defeat the boss.

I'm on an awesome looking motorbike randomly on a motorway with no recollection as to how I obtained the bike and how I got there in the first place, where I am, and where I'm going. I'm not really too worried though, because I have a hearthstone in my bag which is stationed at Leah's house.
Note: A hearthstone is an item in World of Warcraft which teleports you to your 'home' which you set yourself.
With that in mind I just set off on where the road is going to take me on this amazing bike going really fast. It was a little sketchy because I don't know how to drive but that wasn't too much of a problem. After a long stretch of road and a roundabout the bike started packing up a bit so I was looking for a place to turn in, and found one. Open entering, I saw a group of youth from church and my younger sister Tabitha was with them. They were just standing/sitting around outside a large door, all dressed smartly. It looked like a wedding was going on and I assumed it was for Becky. I pull over still with all the abnormality of what's happened to me in my mind and ask Sarah if I'm dreaming or not. She tells me I am, which surprises me, and I don't fully believe her. I ask her again. She gives me the same answer. Then my friend Ben comes out of the blue and I ask him the same question; he says I'm not. At this point I'm really confused and do 2 reality checks. Both indicate that I'm not dreaming, so I assume he's right (I'm such a dickwad, seriously ).
So yeah, I then ask him about the bike and tell him how I randomly obtained it and that I'm scared I might have stolen it from somebody. He then tells me ''Don't worry, Sam. I bought it for you.''
Note: Ben was always giving me stuff during school, he was an awesome friend.
We then get into conversation about it and I wake up during the midst of it.

Last night I only remembered what happened right before I woke up. Not enough sleep, I suppose.

I knew that my parents were on their way home in my mom's car, and strangely I decided to take my dad's truck to drive to a concert rather than my own truck. I woke up before I left the driveway.

5. April 11 2011: A visit from grandma

by , 04-12-2011 at 08:19 AM (The path to Lucid Mastery)

I don't remember much of this dream. My grandma visited us but nothing else happened. I only remember a tiny bit but I won't bore you with it.
6. More Foggy Recall

by , 04-12-2011 at 05:58 AM
All I can remember is that it took place in a city. It was an average looking city with a few skyscrapers and concrete buildings. They style of the buildings remind me of an industrial sector of a city. Nothing seemed built for looks, rather it was for efficiency. It was in the daytime and I remember being in this abandoned building that walls had crumbed. I felt so alone, there was nobody but myself. At the same time, it was a feeling of awe at what I was seeing in the city. It was silent, peaceful, and relaxing. In a way, it was both depressing and inspiring. There was also a canal nearby with a bridge leading to the other side of the city. Everything just gets fuzzy after that sadly.

I don't know why, but if I could have this dream again, I would. It just left me feeling strange...
Hard to describe, but all I know is that I need to work on recall and detail since those have slipped past me.
But not for long!

There was some kind of movie where some hobos story was played out yet that hobo didnt accept the movie existed as it was somehow offending to the hobo.
Later hobo was offered money for that he would accept the movie and and hobo revealed that he was instead a bored super agent who just had been in the town for a while.

8. Old stuff that i wrote down but never typed up (1)

by , 04-12-2011 at 04:04 AM
1. Fragment:
I walked down the hall in my dream house to the bathroom where my mom was drying her hair. I picked up a second hair dryer and started drying my own. Miraculously, my hair was straight and sexy as hell. (IRL I have an afro)

2. Non-lucid Dream:
Hard to remember what order things happened in... In the beginning, there was a flash flood. The water seemed to flow uphill, which I knew was in contradiction to my real house, yet I was standing in my dream house. I walked to another side of the house and watched the water roll down the hill from a pine tree grove and crash against the house gently like waves. When the water cleared, people started showing up at the house and I had no clue why. The only two faces I remember distinctly were my mother's and that of a guy named Julian who I hardly even know. More people showed up and it turned into a party. This change didn't occur smoothly. The dream seemed to skip around and my dream house's interior completely changed (to all wood. It was quite nice, actually). By the time the dream was solid again, everybody was totally smashed. I went upstairs to my dream sister's room. (I call her that because she neither looks like, nor has anything to do with my real sister.) There were about four or five kids sleeping up there. I was looking for something but I didn't know what, so I felt stupid for even being in her room. I remember seeing in my particularly vivid search, a magic 8-ball in its box and some stacks of Nintendo DS games including versions of pokemon that don't exist (yet? Maybe I foresaw the future of pokemon?? ) I don't remember anything after that nor do I remember where or how the dream ended.
9. I love storm dreams

by , 04-11-2011 at 09:08 PM
Had a storm dream again. Whenever I dream about storms, they're very vivid, and I find they enter my dreams a lot. I really need to start using this as a dream sign, Hey, subconscious, did you get that? Okay, good.

It was me, T, and my son in this house that had two levels, but I'm not sure if it was a two story or if there was just sort of a loft like thing, but I was up there with my son. There was a window looking out on the storm, and the window covered the entire left wall. It was really pretty, I remember telling T he needed to come look at this. Also, the house we were in was sitting upon a hill overlooking the surrounding area, so it was very good view. In the distance, as I observed the storm, I could see tornado formations. I wasn't scared, like I usually am, I felt safe.

There was more to the dream, but this is all I can recall at the moment.
10. Anger and Pain

by , 04-11-2011 at 05:12 PM (The Nomad Chronicles)
Anger

I am eating a cheap lunch with a carpenter. He tells me he is charging me by the hour.

I am paying to eat with you? But, you wouldn't charge another carpenter!

True! he laughs with his mouth full of food. Asshole. I knock him off his chair, driving him against a bar counter, forcing my forearm into his throat.

"You going to rip me off? Fuck you. I only have $___ in the bank, you ass." He turns into my ex-friend, Deneb. Deneb looks slightly confused. "Fuck you. You're an asshole."

***

I wake up from the anger. It's 4:30 am. I go back to sleep, trying to WILD, but I fall asleep too quickly. (This happens to me every day. I need to get more sleep!) I don't WILD, but, I at least remember the tail end of my dream.)

Pain

I am in a large SUV or van with extended family. We are going to a family dinner. I see a graffiti artist's van. BLEST is on the side of the blue, black, and orange scheme. I realize it's the local tagger's van here in Hawaii. (My late cousin's DJ name was BLEST, and he got it from a tagger in Colorado uncannily.) The van swerves crazily, and loud dance music is blaring out of it. I don't feel like I am crying, but tears pour down my face. I can't help it. I want to be strong for my family... but,

I wake up.

I realize it was actually Bobby AKA DJ Sabertooth AKA Saber driving through my dreams, but because I was not lucid, I thought it was the other guy. I smile to myself, and look forward to seeing him in dreams again.
11. Dream Graduation '(again) + Lucid Awakening + Fragments

by , 04-11-2011 at 02:57 PM (The book of mars)
Dream Graduation

I’m in school. Graduation is getting set up RIGHT NOW. Hallways are empty except me and a few other “left overs” who can’t graduate for whatever reason. I have a bottle of wine in my hand and start running and screaming: look at me! A cup manifests and I pour it, chugging the bottle and then the cup, bottle then the cup until I’m in the rotunda, drunk and everyone’s looking at me.

I follow some other left overs through dusty abandoned hallways so Mrs. L doesn’t see us and find us out. We all have this plan to graduate anyway so we go way up into the theater storage attic and try our best to hide ourselves. Me under a big blanket with someone and I’m drunk and my eyesight is like that of when I’m so tired I can’t keep my lids awake. So for most of it I do have my eyes closed and just listen under a blanket stacked on top of theater props so I almost touch the ceiling.

Someone tries to peep into the hallway and a little Asian girl who ate all her hair off (really) is the “hall monitor” for graduation sees that someone. She sends in this bulky girl, a real bully. She’s got a trick. She pulls the first kid she sees to her and licks that student’s lip, touches it and then taps her temple. She screams and falls down, not dead but just painful. She does another little trick to someone (pulls their lip ring over their nose!) and says she won’t tell Mrs. L. She’s gonna leave but first wants to show off another trick, looking for someone she pulls me over to her! No way, I hate pain (who doesn’t); she spins my chin into a tight spiral and every time I un-spin it a little, shit it hurts. But someone tells me there’s a trick to her trick and just un-spin it all at once: I do, and I feel just a little tug and I’m okay.

A few of us go further into the attic and we find that there’s a desk and under the desk is nothing, it’s a free-fall to the ice arena where they graduate so you can watch the whole thing. They’re almost ready! A teacher, Mrs. Smith (4’7 or something small!) sees us peeping and comes marching over. We all run out of the attic, oh too late, and Mrs. L is standing waiting for us.

She’s a lovely lady sometimes and says we can all graduate, so everyone puts their gowns on. I don’t have one. At the final door to the ice arena, its time to graduate, I don’t have a gown, but there’s a box with a white Freshman gown. I’m a sophomore in my dream (hey wait, why were all the different classes graduating instead of just the seniors!) and our color is green, so I’m a bit embarrassed. We walk out and I run over to Autumn so she can take my picture (it’s mandatory). When I get over to my class, they’re all wearing white and I’m the only one wearing green.

Lucid Awakening

I’m downtown, walking in a little drizzle. I plan on going to the community market to volunteer when I see a little nook between buildings with a candy store built in. It doesn’t have a door or a cashing machine, it’s just a bunch of glass jars with a ton of bright colored candy. I’m pretty delighted but wait! We don’t have a candy store downtown. And why is downtown so tiny? I’m lucid. I walk into the center of downtown (as I said, everything is tiny and compact, like 50 feet). I look around and notice:

This feels real. This is REALITY to me. Everything is solid and I am perceiving it just as I do waking life.

(This single lucid fragment has created something in me that has helped everything I've been doing dream-wise DRAMATICALLY. I understood before that dreams=reality while waking life=hazy and unreal while you're dreaming, but I never FELT and EXPERIENCED that completely. Now that I have, something has clicked. My reality checks take up to five minutes or more, not because I feel that more time is necessary or anything, but that's how long it takes me to discern my reality. REALITY has a new meaning. I become lucid more often (though write more in the hard copy of my dream journal, less on here). I thank my subconscious for letting me explore this feeling.)

Fragments

I make a sandwich for myself "when I wake up"- WHY WASN'T I LUCID?

Autumn and I are being obnoxious in school, so Heather leaves without saying a word to me. Crushing.
NOTE: Autumn told me today that she had a VERY SIMILAR dream, of her and I and Heather (who she has never met or talked to) all in a classroom.

12. Back in business, baby! ;)

by , 04-11-2011 at 10:48 AM (My otherworldly experiences.)
So like, I haven't wrote in my dream journal for almost a week. That's seriously lacking some effort, yo. But then again I was having difficulty with my re-call.
Anyway, today was an absolute success. Love it.

Lucid = orange

Dream 1 -

I'm in bed trying to get to sleep and ultimately lucid (unaware that I'm dreaming) and having great difficulty doing so. I then hear a knock on the door, it's Tamara.
Note: Tamara is my younger sister's best friend.
She asks if she can help and I agree. My eyes are shut through the whole of this but I hear her come in and then hold my hand, which I find quite soothing and it also helps towards what I'm aiming for as I start drifting off. Then this black cat appears. It can talk, and I ask if it can help me become lucid. It says it can (and other stuff which I can't remember, although I think one the things it said was ''see you in the dream-world'') and then curls up at the top of my head. I then go through some sort of trippy phase and I'm able to simply get out of my body just like that and 'into' the dream-world.

I'm then lucid, still unaware of the fact I was dreaming before, but knew I was now nonetheless. It's kind of hard for me to speak and I have the problem with keeping my eyes open again, so I call for my dream guide and start paying attention to what I can hear and touch and feel what's on the floor in the hope of achieving what I did last time. While I'm doing this the black cat appears again and this time it's sitting on the end of my bed just watching me.

I then accidentally open my eyes for real and wake up. It was about 5:55 in the morning. I was kinda annoyed at the fact I had just failed but was proud nonetheless because I had another lucid, and actually remembered to try to find my/a dream guide (This cat appeared, but I'm not sure if it is one).
So, with that positive mind frame I went back to sleep.

Dream 2 -

I'm playing a game on the computer. I'm in some kind of square by the sea with a group of others, and we have to kill 4 random bosses within 10 minutes (penguin, cat, etc or something). With about 4 minutes left I hear my Dad call out that it's prayer time.
Note: Every night (the majority of the time) we have a family prayer just before one of us goes to bed.
I state that I can't go up just yet because we're running out of time and need to finish this. Dad says ''We'll have to do it without you then.'' I feel kinda bad but at the same time it can't be helped so I just focus on the game. After that's done, and I'm heading off elsewhere in-game, the screen goes blank. I try to fix it but I don't know what's wrong with it, so I ask Dad if he can sort it and he does.

I'm now in Warsong Gultch again (a World of Warcraft battleground which is basically capture the flag 3 times to win). To begin with, it's 3rd person, but as soon as it starts and my team set off, it zooms into it and I'm actually there. I notice that it looks a bit different to how it should look; there's loads of huge rocks and stuff dotted about.
I can't really remember what I did here but eventually I found myself round the back of our base and I can see a fight going on on the second floor. I'm about start making my way up so I can join in and then notice a Draenei Mage is about to nuke me so I get out of the line of sight. Then the whole thing freezes. I realise I spent too much time dawdling about and it's ended.
I go somewhere (can't remember where) and then find myself in a completely new environment. It's some kind of museum-looking place with a HUGE staircase which spirals in a square shape up to the top. I'm holding some kind of object and jacking off while floating higher and higher in the air (some other force is moving me), not really caring about how high up I'm getting. Then I find myself moving towards something and land on top (this thing is huge, and there's no way down from it). I'm scared to death. I'm on top of something I cannot get down from without seriously injuring myself. Then it hits me:
''Wait. This place doesn't exist. It's not real. I'm dreaming!''
I breathe a massive sigh of relief and then start thinking of a way to get down. I consider jumping but I don't want to risk waking up as I'm afraid of heights and my brain might wake myself up so it doesn't have to deal with the landing. I then think ''Oh, ladder!'' and I spot one next to the wall below me. I reach out my hand and use telekinesis to move it up against this sculpture thing, but it's not wide enough. I kindly ask it to make itself wider and it does so. When I've safely reached the ground I think to myself ''I should try and find my dream guide.'' and call out ''Dream guide!''

Nothing.

I call out again ''Dream guide, please show yourself!'' and this time I notice something which I didn't take in before. A man had been sitting in the corner observing me all this time. I look at him and wonder who he is, and he seemed to read my mind. He called out to me and said ''Well, you did ask for me.'' in a tone which made him sound higher up than me. (pretty sure this guy is my dream guide )

My heart jumped for joy at this point and I bounded over as fast as I could to sit down next to him. He was an older man looking about mid 30's who wore glasses and a French beret. He basically looked like a classic French painter/artist. I asked him ''Can I ask you a quick question please?'' He replied ''Of course.'' and I responded ''What should I call you by?''. He then told me his name (but I actually can't remember it). We then got into conversation and I recall him saying something to do with a word/phrase located in the Italian dictionary which I didn't understand and something to do with a BTEC course 'cause I said he looked like an artist.

I then woke up mid-convo.

Note my inner artist coming out much.

14. My first nightmare I can remember (repetitive).

by , 04-10-2011 at 08:21 PM
(I promise you not all of my entries will be about nightmares, haha, just gotta get this one out of the way first.)

I was 8 and living in Wyoming at the time when I first had this nightmare, and it's the first nightmare I can remember (and like I said in my other posts I mostly have anxiety dreams, only have had 2 nightmares I can remember). I've had this come up when I was 8 twice (about 6 months after it first happened, right before I turned 9), again when I was 12 right after we moved to Nevada, and when I was 15 I had a dream that spotlighted a scene from this particular nightmare.

It's mostly in first person, which I rarely dream in. I'm my 8-year-old self, walking around my house in Wyoming like it's a regular old boring day. It's really sunny outside, so all the nights are turned off and all the fans are turned on. My sister's nowhere to be found, I assume she's at a friend's house or something. My parents are out in the backyard, so I find myself wandering the rooms looking around aimlessly. I go back in my room and find my doll, who turns out to be Cynthia, the same doll Angelica has in the Rugrats cartoon. I held her up, exaimined her, and then looked at my bed. Normally I had a few of my stuffed animals surrounding the pillows, but all of my stuffed animals had turned into dolls or stuffed humans. The moment I see these on my bed, the sky outside turns orange and thick, like there's a fire nearby. I glance at the window then glance at the door and run for the backyard. The sky is so thick it's almost red as I run out through the garage and patio onto the grass. There I'm horrified to see both of my parents are engulfed in flames. But what makes this less horrifying is that they are giant stuffed bears, almost like they're wearing mascot costumes. I know they are my parents, but I'm suddenly understanding that all humans are now stuffed bears and all stuffed animals are dolls or stuffed humans. My parents are running around in circles, screaming and on fire, making little footprint-shapes of fire on the grass which is starting more of the fire. I'm hearing dramatic music in the background that's telling me it's gonna get worse. I can't get my legs to move so I can get to them to help them. I'm screaming for them and going "No!" and all that dramaticness an 8-year-old can possess as she's seeing her parents go up in flames. As I'm screaming, I wake up, realizing my face is wet from crying and I'm mouthing the words "No, no no no..."

The waking up bit has happened each time I've had it until the dream I had at 15. The only thing I remember from it was that my parents were in it asking me "remember what happened 7 years ago?" and I have a little thought bubble pop over my head with the scene of my parents as giant stuffed bears screaming and running around on fire.

15. Quick dream to nowhere

by , 04-10-2011 at 05:20 PM (Insane Kid's wacky dreams)
And this greatly shows me why I need to be a bit more dedicated to keeping a dream journal.

Had a lucid last night, technically breaking my dry spell which has lasted over half a year. However, I remember so little of it it just is depressing, but here goes:

In the middle of the dream, I don't recall why, but I realize that I am dreaming and become lucid. Instantly I think of drawing a portal, as I have an entire world designed I have been meaning to try and visit. My location is in some building (in the rest of the dream it was more like a death trap) where I am currently standing in a short downwards-sloping hallway. Large wall to my left with a wooden rail, and sholder-height wall to my right that increases as you go down. Huge glass roof arcing over the building and the exit of the hallway behind me opens up to the rest of the building, while the bottom goes into a tunnel like area and turns right.

I place my finger under the rail and on the wall (it was rather high, probably around the height of my chest) and try burning an arc in an upside-down "U" shape. (This was my pre-dream planned method of creating a portal. To burn the entry and let the portal form) It took a few traces as the burn marks were sorta light, but I managed to finish and the portal automatically opened into clear blue. (Which didn't much resemble where I was attempting to go.) While I was doing this, it constantly felt like I was almost waking up, because the sunlight was hitting me in the eyes in my dream (which probably wasn't far off, as I woke up BEFORE this dream and it was already 5am. Likely it really was the sun). I ran my hand along the rail and *oddly* tried to see if it had a scent. It did, and smelled strongly of tree sap. This helped stabilize as I was drawing the portal.

However, as it turns out I do have a false awakening and lose lucidity. Oddly enough, the false awakening takes place in the same odd building, however the previous dream story continues. This makes it feel like the story before hand was real life, so I completely lost lucidity.

The dream itself was rather blurry. Not visually or in any of the senses, actually, that was rather clear. It was like a mental blur where I couldn't focus, and things just felt... unstable.

Meh, disappointing dream, but at least I broke my dry spell. So yay for that!
