    1. Semi-lucid chase scene

      by , 05-16-2014 at 07:57 PM
Kuroshitsuji-based. I'm looking at a sort of frozen image of two people - as a disembodied observer, I can move around and look at this scene from different angles, but time isn't moving. Two figures in heavy fur-lined coats that cover them completely. I can't see their faces, but I'm aware the tall one in black is Sebastian, and the small one in white that he's carrying is Ciel and also myself. I'm focusing on the hood of Ciel/my coat - the opening for the face is completely in shadow, and something about the deepness and the blackness of that opening and the fact that the face can't be seen makes me feel sure he's a demon.

I'm about to enter a temple, together with three or four friends and family. We're standing around an outdoor sink where you wash your hands before entering the temple, and I'm looking around and thinking about the beauty of the entrance. Over to the left there's a separate building that's also part of the temple compound, but not sacred, and when I realize the others haven't been there before, I insist we go see it first. There's a line to purchase entrance - which is very expensive - and they don't understand what this other place is, so I explain it to them while we're waiting in line. This building, the McKittrick, was built by an eccentric rich man who filled it with all manner of strange collections over his life. After he died, it was bought by a woman who- (My memory's vague about what I said that woman did, but it was something to do with folklore. Elves were specifically mentioned, prompting a scene change.)

Third person, outside that building, it's night now. Three strange-looking figures that I think of as elves are standing around, agitated about something, waiting to execute some plan.

      (Woke up. Back to sleep.)

A friend of mine introduces me to a woman he's in love with - who turns out to be a living weapon sent to kill me. But she herself hadn't realized that; she was a sleeper agent, some kind of machine, programmed to become a weapon again the moment she saw me. It's painful to watch her personality disappear. I'm angry at the people who created her, and also blaming myself for involving both her and my friend. I try to take care of the situation without my friend finding out what's happening.

This ultimately ends in a chase scene where I'm running from that friend. I go semi-lucid while flying to avoid him. There's a small stand of trees at the edge of the property, and as I reach them, I decide to change scenes; I stop among the trees and focus on the feel of the branches around me, trying to change the scene to a dense forest. When I stop focusing on the feel and look around again, I'm not in a forest, but the grass is much taller and the buildings around have vanished, and the friend I was running from flies over my head without seeing me.
    2. Pregnant Lady Coming Through (Bonus Task of the Month)

      by , 05-16-2014 at 07:09 PM
I'm at work when I hear a call for back-up cashiers. I head up front to see where I can help, but I'm confused by what I see. There's only one line, even if it looks a little long, and there's cashiers milling around with nothing to do. I question whether they really need any back-up and I decide I might as well hop on the first open register. There's a woman with several kids who had dumped a pile of things directly on the scanner. When I ask if she needs help, she says that she's using the self check-out and doesn't need a cashier. But we don't have self check-out. I realize she's a little confused, so I ring up her items. She tries to pay by check, but she signs the top of the check instead of the bottom. Also, she's signed with two names, and one of them is Sandor Clegane? Something doesn't feel right about this. I ask her for ID, and she tells me that she doesn't have one but it's her husband's check, so we'll have to wait for him. And we wait. And wait… Her husband finally makes his way over at a snail's pace. He takes a look at the total on the screen, but refuses to hand over any sort of ID. Instead, he claims they haven't spent enough money! He then wants me to tell him all the sales this week so he can figure out what else to buy.

By now, I'm getting really angry at how this family is wasting my time. I consider voiding the transaction and walking away, but I'm really not sure I can get away with that. I try to remember what this week's promotions are, but I'm stumped. It must be the first day of the week, and I probably didn't get a chance to check the weekly ads. But we have sales circulars for reference at every register. I grab the one at my register, except instead of a circular, it's a binder covered with flowers. I see a wire rack with more circulars, so I run to grab one. But when I take a closer look, I realize that they're just magazines. At this point, I see S, the security guy, walk past me in his uniform. I call out to him since I haven't seen him for a while. He stops, but he seems to shrink about a foot in height. He turns around and I see it's actually T, another coworker from a completely different area (who is also about a foot shorter than S). I ask him why he's wearing the uniform, and he explains that he's just helping out while S is on vacation.

I still need to find that damned sales circular. I decide to try grabbing one from another register, but there's a little obstacle in my way: a pond. Yes, there's a pond in the store, apparently. It's about five feet in diameter and it's blocking my path to the closest register. Oddly enough, it looks just like the retention pond outside my old junior high school. I skirt around the pond's edge, but somehow I end up walking through the water. It's not very deep, barely coming up to my shins, but I can feel my feet sinking into the mud. There's a girl I don't recognize working on the register next to the pond. I ask her for a sales circular, and she smiles as she hands over her copy. But this isn't what I expected. For one thing, it's handwritten, and it's dated May 6th. None of this makes sense… because this is a dream. There's a moment where I'm full of indecision, not sure what I should do: tell the irritating customers to get lost or abandon this dream scene entirely by spinning.

Almost immediately, the dream starts to fade. I focus on the sensation of sinking into the mud and try to ignore my real body. It's a bit difficult, but eventually I'm back at my register with this crazy family still not finished checking out until I tell them what's on sale. I hit the void key, toss the void slip at them, and walk away. I've had enough of them.

I start walking the perimeter of the store to give myself enough time for the dream to stabilize. I'm joined by S as I walk. At one point, we come across a large crowd that's blocking our way. S barges ahead, but he transforms into yet another coworker. I watch his back as his uniform fades away and turns into a different shirt. The crowd grows thicker and keeps me from moving forward. I don't know how to get through this obstacle at first, then I have an idea. I shout, "HEY! PREGNANT LADY COMING THROUGH!" The crowd immediately parts. I look down and see that I am very, very pregnant.

The store fades away and I find myself in a hospital birthing suite, lying on a bed, preparing to give birth. There's no pain. In fact, there's no pressure or any other sensation that I would have expected. Really, I just feel happy that I'm finally about to do this. The baby comes out -- except it's not a baby I see, but a six-foot-tall man wearing swim trunks. He's very tan and has extremely light blond hair that looks like it's been bleached by the sun. He looks at me and says, "Bro, I've gotta catch some waves. See you later!" before taking off. I'm confused why he would call me "bro."

Next to me, someone says, "You know, I had hair that light when I was a kid." I look over and realize the man standing next to me is Benedict Cumberbatch, and I remember him saying something similar in an interview last year. He stands up to leave, and I see that he's wearing a tuxedo and carrying a top hat. I ask him to stay. Actually, I start pleading with him to stay, but he says he has an event to go to.
      Then I wake up.

    3. All Dressed Up With No Place To Go

by , 05-16-2014 at 04:31 AM (Xanous' Dream Journal)
      #316 - DILD - 6:00AM

I have a sex dream about my wife that turns into a false awakening. I am in some unfamiliar bedroom with a large mirror above the nightstand. I notice that I am fully dressed and assume that I must have sleepwalked while dreaming the sex dream. The thing that gets my attention is how oddly I am dressed. I am wearing a white lab coat with a really short, blue windbreaker. The windbreaker has button straps on the shoulders, but the left side has a small stuffed monkey attached to it. I completely crack up at this. I laugh so hard that my stomach hurts and my eyes look red and watery. I tell my wife how funny this all is and Then my sister in law comes in the room and I tell her all about it still laughing. They both seem uninterested.

I decide that I absolutely have to take a picture of myself and pull out my phone. The phone doesn't seem to be working properly but I manage. When I take the picture, I notice the monkey has vanished. All of this makes me realize that I am dreaming. I remember that I have been trying to study faces more in waking life to make better dream characters. This makes me suddenly curious to study my own face in the mirror, but my sister in law starts talking really loud and I find it so annoying that I can't concentrate. (She would) I will her to be silent but I must have tried too hard because now both Dcs have left. I feel that I am alone in the room and that's fine; it's quite. My reflection dream character looks completely normal and legit. I'm really impressed with the vividness but decide to move on.

I leave the mirror and head down a hallway but the dream starts to fade out. I am not ready to let the dream go so I do some mad hand rubbing. Sadly, Its not working and I slowly wake up.

I'm still trying to hold on to the dream so I don't move a muscle and focus on relaxing my body. This allows me to DEILD right away into the void. I have a falling sensation, then feel myself floating and slowing spinning as if in zero G. My back has been hurting in waking life and I am pleased that it feels light and painless. I let out and exaggerated sigh of relief. I worry that my wife will hear, but let that go since I am obviously dreaming again. I sigh loudly once more to prove the point to myself. Then I have other curious thoughts like wondering if I am in Tonic REM or NREM. I tell myself I just need to wait it out. I have a memory gap after this and find myself in another false awakening.

I hear the break buzzer at work. I sit up and look at a clock. Its 2:00. When I stand up, I see that I was sleeping on a pallet on the floor in my old department. I find it shocking that I actually got away with this. I stagger to the break room feeling really groggy and sleepy. Something is not right... Not only do I recognize this dream sign, but I also remember that I left this department not long ago and my vision is really distorted. I fall to the floor looking around for some visual stability. My eyes lock on a face. The more I stare the more clear and vivid is gets. It's a young attractive blond woman. I don't feel any desire for her, but I lock my eyes on her because shes all I've got. As I watch her walk past, I notice I have tunnel vision, but can clearly see that she is wearing a white lab coat that reads “photo”. We are in Wal-Mart and I assume she works at the photo lab. Our eyes meet and she gives me a bland expression and continues walking past not bothering to talk to me. I need some interaction so I say something flirty to her. She turns to look at me over her shoulder but is still not interested. It's almost as if she seems to sense my presence but doesn't hear or see me. I say, “What? Are you just going to ignore me?” Then, the dream is suddenly interrupted by my alarm clock.

    4. binaural induced sleep paralysis/lucid dream

      by , 05-15-2014 at 11:37 PM
i was laying down and had the sensation that kristen had suddenly flown over me. i woke up startled cuz i thought i was naked and didnt want to be seen but then she disapeared which freaked me out. i tried to get up but couldnt move. i realized i must be in sleep payalsysis. i laid there trying to just focus on moving my finger (i remembered this technique from the movie kill bill) i finally moved my thumb and then had the confidence to get out of bed. i stepped down onto the floor and the dream was very unstable. itried to stabalize it by talking out loud and looking at my hands but i couldnt see my hands at all. i peered out a tiny window that was in my floor and saw a gloomy day with trees. i decided i would try and go out there. should have spent more time stabalizing dream, i lost lucidity/ even more so should have remained completly still after i lost conciousness

    5. Long Rein, Short Rain, Candy Bar Wrapper, Golden Legs 1 of 2

      by , 05-15-2014 at 11:15 AM
Morning of May 15, 2014. Thursday.

      Dream #: 17,314-04. Reading time: 2 min 45 sec.

I am riding in a landau with Zsuzsanna either late at night or early in the morning before dawn in Rochester, Minnesota. I get the feeling we are enjoying an expensive tour. The unknown coachman is on our left as I sit in the middle. At one point, we are going down 2nd Street SW so that when we turn right, we will go past the Mayo Clinic Baldwin Building. There are many high buildings adjacent to the streets. There is no other traffic or any other people.

What is surreal about this scene is that the small brown horse pulling the carriage is nearly half a city block ahead of us on a very long lead rein. It seems to be like this so that tourists cannot take control or cause the landau to go in a different direction. Even so, the lead rein seems too slack for feasible control of the horse. I wonder what will happen when we get to an intersection and have to turn the corner.

When the horse reaches the intersection and turns right, we have to stop. We have to get out of the carriage to push and align it to the perpendicular street to continue our journey. I consider we will probably have to do this several times before we get to our destination. Zsuzsanna and I decide to walk.

In a room on the second floor of the hotel, I find a television broadcast annoying, but I am unsure how to turn it off. Zsuzsanna is on the bed, and there is an unusual movement over her skin, like a ripple effect (reminiscent of moderate ocean waves).

Later, I am in a library where there are many other people. I am standing in an area near a long table that is mostly to my right. A young male approaches me and pulls something out of my left plaid shirt pocket with his right hand. It is a Mars candy bar wrapper. He throws it on the table while claiming it is against library policy for anyone to carry a card in their pocket. His activity makes no sense to me, and I decide to punch him and knock him to the floor.

My instinctual awareness of being in the dream state increases to full recognition I am dreaming. I leave the library, though it is now part of a larger building. I follow two people out into the hall as I see it is like a college I went to and later worked at in maintenance in La Crosse.

I walk westerly down the hall. I see through the glass doors that sparse raindrops are falling outside. It now seems to be winter. I feel anticipation because I enjoy walking and flying in the rain in dreams, and I know it will vivify my dreaming experience. When I walk outside, the rain is stopping. I walk down the alley, and my awareness seems to fade only slightly.

I am sitting on the ground. I look out from the end of the alley and notice a pair of feminine legs that shine with a golden light. (It is a pale gold but then closer to canary yellow, but at one point, it looks mottled with white or paler yellow). The unknown girl stands near a parked car. She is briefly talking on a payphone but then on her cell phone. She is wearing a short dark blue skirt and black stilettos. For a time, I can only see her from the waist down due to a low tree branch blocking the rest of the scene. I am intrigued.

Otherwise, she seems to be an ordinary woman engaging in everyday activities. When I get up and go closer, I see her walking a bit north from the car, but she stops and looks at me as if expecting me to say something. My dream fades as her glowing skin dims somewhat.

My liminal awareness arises to full recognition of being in transition in my dream relative to the shifting somatosensory dynamics and my physical orientation in bed (a factor more sustained in childhood).

    6. Long Rein, Short Rain, Candy Bar Wrapper, Golden Legs 2 of 2

      by , 05-15-2014 at 11:15 AM
Morning of May 15, 2014. Thursday.

Dream #: 17,314-04 decoding. Reading time (optimized): 2 min.

This entry explains the dream content causation of “Long Rein, Short Rain, Candy Bar Wrapper, Golden Legs,” a long dreaming experience that includes the usual dreaming processes and liminal navigation caused by being in REM sleep.

The horse is the simulacrum that anticipates achieving control over my physical body during the waking transition. The lead rein is too long because of the instinctual recognition that I cannot move my body as long as I am asleep. The unknown coachman is this dream’s kinaesthetic personification, a factor of my duality caused by dreaming and a model of the ambiguity of liminal space.

An intersection models synaptic gating while dreaming as a result of being in REM sleep. The horse turns to the right, an expectation I will move to my right upon waking, as I sleep on my left side.

(The woman with gold legs at the end of my dream is also to my right. She represents the same factor. Both are focused on the anticipation of leg movement that is only possible when awake, other than myoclonus.)

The next scene validates I am dreaming, as it features a bed in a fictitious hotel room. There is an instinctual recognition of the imaginary somatosensory perceptions of dreaming that creates ripples on Zsuzsanna’s skin.

A library correlates with cerebral activity and seeking to read. Somatosensory dynamics are still perceived, though the illusion features a candy bar wrapper someone takes from my shirt pocket. I think of enhancing my imaginary experience with the sensation of rain on my skin (also a form of virtual melatonin mediation). The candy bar wrapper reminds me my dream body’s skin is not real. I assume the card referred to is an identification card, so this is confirming my dream self is neither my waking-life identity nor can viably read in the imaginary library.

Gold becomes predominant in my dreams when closer to the threshold of the final waking process and represents the daytime (as a circadian rhythm factor) and coming into awareness of daylight. Here, it has dual associations with the recognition my body is immobile as I sleep, and the wakefulness personification has golden legs. She is also communicating, first by payphone (requiring standing up), and by cell phone, and then by looking directly at my imaginary dream self.

My entire dream stems from the seeking of the mind-body connection that is only viable when awake, from resolving sleep atonia (with minor anticipation of myoclonus) to preparing to walk. (I am lying on the ground in the final scene, after sitting up, becoming more aware of my body’s sleeping position. This factor is a common attribute of my dreaming history.)

The selection of the simulacra as the kinaesthetic dynamics seem ultimately random. Even so, a horse is more likely to kick (myoclonus), though over time (my dream being longer than average), the woman with “daylight legs” appears after I look out from the end of an alley (in becoming more aware of physical immobility while sleeping).

      Blue= LUCID
Went to bed 10:30 2 cups of water lead to me waking up and at 4:45 had the urge to piss wbtb finished at 5. I was repeating my mantra and also did some dream incubation (I love the MILD Technique) I was very sleepy and relaxed as time went on and I noticed the feeling of sleep paralysis through my body. I opened up my 'dream eyes' which started the dream

Dream started me spinning in space I remember having a weird feeling but can't recall why. I was grabbing onto a satelitte I flew around a little bit and I grabbed another satellite there was a planet that looked like earth I wanted to fly to but I couldn't get flying in the direction I wanted, like a force was pushing me to the right when I wanted to go foreward so I grabbed the satelitte thing again (it was very disproportionate I was almost the size of the thing) so I tried teleporting towards the planet, I teleported, but it was to a different place in space and not closer to the planet that looked like earth it was my first experience trying out teleporting and I just tried to imagine myself closer to the planet. This scene changed and I was on the school oval or maybe I forgot the bit inbetween? I see some people and I end up going near some of the buildings the dream is non-lucid after this scene change, come to think of it, that may of been what triggeredme losing lucidity! I saw a dc of my girlfriend and said hi then on closer look it was a boy from my school and I felt embarassed and relieved that he didn't seem to hear me a mirror somehow came in the mix and I had a huge crab on my head and I thought it was my eyebrows hahaha! I was thinking that my eyebrows looked very unusual and ugly. One of my iwl friends took the crab off and killed it somehow. There was a little slimy bug on top of the crab that I had killed then my friend got told off for littering (I think he threw a piece of the crab) but he hid from the teacher and the teacher asked another kid to give her his name. We then sat down at a table and I had an art folio on the table the teacher walked past us and told us to not litter my friend waits a bit then throws a piece of fruit really high in the air when the teacher calls out he ran I was still there looking at the art folio and I did remember holding a plum-like fruit sliced in half. I then woke up

Family Disputes and Eyebrow Beards [Wednesday, 5:42 PM Pacific, 5/14/2014]

I had passed out while I was messing around on my laptop, I was pretty tired, and my blankets are very comfy. The dream started off in dream similar to another one; a sort of hotel where me and my younger brother were living in separate rooms, for some reason we got into a fight, soon after he stormed out of the room in a fit of rage and called some of his buddies to complain, meanwhile I went inside to grab the video camera that we both share, I figured that we should decide who gets what...

[a large chunk of dream is missing here due to difficulty recalling it]

Some time later I found myself speaking with a friend at school and I invite him to my house/apartment, once we get there I decide I need a shower, so I strip down whilst still talking to him, I felt comfortable showering in front of him, about a second after I started doing some silly poses, he said he had to go somewhere and walked out of the room, I was pretty certain he was going home, I turned to get in the shower and caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror.
"Might as well check myself out." being a pretty overweight guy, I didn't do much other than look at myself, but I noticed that I had a large amount of facial hair on my eyebrows, making it a uni-brow and leading down into my upper lip; like an upside down beard. It was incredibly thick, so I twirled my finger in the beard and then I thought to myself: "this is really weird, I don't remember having THIS much facial hair" (for some reason having a beard on my eyes didn't set me off) so I looked down at my hands, yup, still there.
Next, I pointed my index finger at my palm and attempted to push it through, I've tried this hundreds of times in real life and it never worked, so I didn't think it would work, but astonishingly, it worked! It went through (almost) seamlessly! "Wow", I thought to myself "I'm actually doing it!", I decided to do something I've wanted to do for a long time, so without putting on clothes, I ran at my door at full speed, and the song "Fireflies - Owl City" began to play. I jumped at the end of my run, diving at a 65 degree angle upwards out of my door, my intention was to pass through the door, just like my finger did with my palm, a small portion of me passed through, the excitement is killing me, this is so amazingly incredible! But suddenly, everything goes black, and I feel incredibly warm. I try to open my eyes and I find myself in my REAL bed at my REAL home, I felt strangely awake... More awake then I've ever been in my life...
In an act of pure desperation, I attempted to push my finger though my palm again several times, to no avail, it was true, I was awake again, so I decided to write all this down somewhere to remember it.
As I sat down and brought up notepad, I had no trouble remembering what happened, it was crystal clear, not a centimeter of fog separated me from my euphoric delusion; the need to be out of reality's grasp.

Performing this "lucid dream", bringing myself to clarity in a place where i thought there was no such thing as "order" I was just as easy as explaining to someone how to press a button: "Just do it."
It wasn't as near as difficult as I thought it would be to achieve, so don't be discouraged by people telling you its "difficult". Go with the flow.
Despite it only lasting 1-3 seconds, it was the most amazing 1-3 seconds of my life, and I would do anything to return, which is why I planned to make a second attempt at it the same night I wrote this and posted it.

      LUCID
*I became lucid while riding in the passenger seat of a this SUV. In the parking lot of a wendys I willed the SUV on the road. I felt I had full control to steer in any direction I wished. When I got on the road I made the car float up to the level right about the trees. I was beautiful! I had a vast view of all the houses while sitting back and enjoying the ride. Since I was in a familiar place I attempted to point out differences and similarities in the environment. It's rare that I just sit back and enjoy the ride in a lucid dream!

    11. Aladdin

      by , 05-14-2014 at 12:56 PM
I managed to hit another Task of the Year item! This one's from the morning of 5/11/2014.

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #209: Aladdin

I’m standing on a long stone pathway that cuts through the middle of a vast lake. People pass by me on either side, and as I watch them go, I think about my intent to have a lucid dream. It quickly dawns on me that one has just begun.

I look out over the lake,.seeing numerous Greek-styled marble columns sticking up out of the water. I take flight to get a better view of the water and it’s just as striking from higher up. I go up and up, preparing for some peaceful exploration, but I accidentally cut through some low cloud cover and lose sight of the lake. A flock of birds crosses in front of me and for no discernible reason, the frame rate of the dream briefly dips. I’m briefly amused that my brain seemed to have had trouble with that relatively simple scene.

I head back down through the cloud cover, regaining sight of the lake. I fly lower, studying DCs as I go. All of the flight finally reminds me of the Aladdin Task of the Year, and I land, mentally gathering the details of what I’m supposed to do.

First, summon that lamp. I try several behind the back summons, but I keep botching them. This is annoying me a bit, but I finally manage to get the sense of an object in my hand even though I can’t see it. I wiggle my fingers a bit like a magician and the lamp “paints” itself in from top to bottom as I watch.

I make my wish for a magic carpet, and immediately one scoops me up from underneath. I remember my first attempt at this task and again ask the lamp for a “delicious cookie”. Right away a cookie appears in my left hand and I don’t hesitate before cramming it in my mouth. It’s really good! The chocolate chips are just a little small for the “perfect cookie” but it’s still excellent.

I’m apparently stuck on a “delicious food” theme so I immediately wish for “delicious hot chocolate”. I bring my hand back into view to find it holding a china cup full of hot chocolate. I guzzle it down. It’s way colder than it should be and there are odd clumpy patches in it like it didn’t mix well, but still tasty. Okay, done!

I continue flying the carpet for a bit, staying about 10 feet off the ground. I come to a section that looks like the exit to an amusement park. There’s a woman waving goodbye to me and the other people as we leave. I don’t get much further before
      the dream ends.

This lucid is from the morning of 5/11/2014.

      Color legend: Non-dream Dream Lucid

      Lucid #208: Carnival Chain

I have a false awakening where Wife is bustling about the room getting ready for something. I’m groggy and not seeing anything too well, but I follow her as she heads out the door. There’s some kind of event that we’re supposed to be getting ready for, but I have no memory of what it is. I do remember wanting to have a lucid dream, though, so I feel frustrated that I’m expected to get up.

I follow Wife for a bit and suddenly we’re outside by some docks. She’s dressed in a white sundress that I’ve never seen her in before, holding hands with our two children “E” and “R”. She looks beautiful. I wish that I could go with them but I’m almost too tired to move.

I tell her that I’m going back to bed, which she seems to accept. Somehow I stagger back to the bed and as soon as my head hits the pillow, I attempt to WILD. Right away I get the sense of motion and I can’t believe how quickly it’s working. I go with the momentum and experience a moment of massive acceleration before
emerging in a mid-morning carnival scene that I know is a dream.

I’m not pleased with the vividness of the scene, so I rub my hands together and then stare at them, trying to draw out as much detail as I can. It takes a few frustrating moments but finally fine details start to emerge. One oddity is that my hands are covered with cuts and scrapes like I’ve been fighting or working with something sharp.

As the scene comes into better focus, I see that Wife is walking here with me at the carnival. We pass a sandwich vendor who stops us and begins an emphatic explanation of what it takes to make the turkey sandwich. He says that the “traditional” sandwich of “turkey on a donut” is outdated and that rye bread is the wave of the future. It sounds crazy to me, but I try to grasp the details, hoping for some flash of insight. It never comes, though, and
      the dream fades.

I hold on for DEILD, and in a few seconds I’m back in the carnival scene. I take a few steps but something seems to be stuck in my throat. I try to sort of gag and clear my throat, but it’s still there. I feel like there’s some kind of waking life problem and remember that I’m sleeping on my stomach. I have this vision of the pillow pressing on my throat and in a few seconds, I’m out of the dream.

I flop onto my side, get ready for DEILD, and re-enter the carnival scene a few seconds later. Wife’s here with me again, and says something flirtatious. I’m feeling very interested, so we make out for a bit before getting down to some sexytime. I’ll spare the details here, but it's interesting that after the "festivities" the dream continues long enough for us to wander around the carnival a bit more.

      Finally
the dream breaks, and I DEILD in one last time to the same carnival scene. Wife and I pass by a carnival barker who’s inviting passerby to try out the “lucidity machine”, a large, boxy contraption that he says is guaranteed to make you have a lucid dream for only “4 quarters”.

I encourage Wife to try this out. “But you’re already having a lucid dream,” she replies.

      “Yeah, but you’re not.”

She wrinkles her nose. “Four quarters seems kind of expensive.”

“It’s not real money,” I tell her. “Please just try it.”

I’m exasperated by all of this. Wife shakes her head and continues to skeptically study the device as
      the dream ends.

it's been a long while since i've actively tried to lucid dream. the last couple years have been a bit of a blur, as i was in a dark place. I can recall becoming lucid in a few dreams from the fewer i ever recalled having. pot wasnt very conducive to my memory.

i've been trying the last three days to induce a lucid and i managed to incubate it enough to have one today

      awake
      thoughts
      dream
      lucid

i'm taking a nap but i wake up only to find im in my van. wait, i didn't go to sleep in a van.
      here we go.
i decide to take flight, but upon gaining lucidity my vision goes and i can't see anything. i can feel myself vibrate as i ascend through the van's roof. everything is still black and doesnt seem like its going to change so

      i wake up

i guess i forgot to try stabilizing, maybe that would have helped.

i go back to sleep only to have a couple non lucid dreams that i don't recall

      #315 - DEILD/OBE - 4:14AM

I wake and go to DEILD mode. I focus on relaxing my body and soon vibrations start. They are really weak at first but the more I relax and focus the deeper I get. I feel my body fade away as I focus on lifting up and out. As I transition I feel forces pull and turn me this way and that. There is some fear that astral beings are attacking me but I remember that the cause of this is that I have been reading too much nonsense in search of a more consistent technique for WILD. I tell myself that this is all in my mind and focus on seeing. I have the sensation of slowly opening my eyes and find myself standing over my night stand. I look at my hands as they rest there. I begin hand rubbing as I make my way out of the house. Darkness returns and I try voice commands. In a rich, velvety radio voice I loudly say, "Stabilization now. Visualization now." as I peer into the darkness.

I am now standing on my front porch. It seems to be a bright sunny day and I take a look around. I notice that though my vision has cleared I am still a little nearsighted. I turn to explore and see the neighbors north of me now have a larger house made of brick. I see a man in the yard doing some type of work. He looks a little like CL but I don't think I know him. I walk over to him and shake his hand. I say, "Hi. How are you?"
He responds something pleasant but I am not listening. I am focused on how solid and real his hand feels in mine. I see something like a short square sliding glass patio door on the side of his house. I tell the man, "I am going to phase through your window now." The man seems really nervous and afraid as he follows as I dive, phasing through the glass. I look behind me. He has to physically open the small window/door and climb in.

I notice that I am standing on hardwood flooring that is in the process of being refinished. The fresh stain feels wet on my bare feet. The man seems upset about it so I tell him, "It's okay. I'm a ghost." I feel that should explain everything and wonder off to explore the house.

In the next room I see something like an open dumbwaiter. There's a little girl in an old fashioned dress playing in it. I feel like I should say something to her but all I think of is, "Give me a high five, nigga." I put my hand out and the girl tries to slap it but she goes right through me. I decide not to get caught up on this so I move on. I come to something like a kitchen/dining area. There's a weird spot were there is not enough room to walk past the oven without falling into a low section of the living room. I barely get past and suddenly feel mentally fatigued. I have a strange feeling like all of this is too hard to hold in my mind and I am forced to let it go as I wake up.

      The Interview - NLD - 6ish

I later have a non lucid that the night shift lead, Lucy, is at the Joplin Globe having a job interview in the front lobby. I am sitting in a rocking chair feeling very sleepy. I close my eyes to dose off but shake myself awake. There is something on the TV. The interviewer seems very impressed with Lucy and hints that she is pretty much hired. "But first lets make this look good on paper." He gives her forms to fill out and asks her more questions. I do some visual awareness noticing Lucy's face. The details are very vivid with no abnormalities. The TV is demanding my attention now. I see Johnathan Taylor Thomas in a Santa suit. I find this odd but my wife walks up and explains it all. "Christmas in July." I wake to the alarm.

So how the dream starts I'm in a confuse false awaking before I fall asleep then wen I sleep I wake up in a dream yet the clarity an clairvoyance sometimes isn't as powerful as my past sleep states not to say that I know I'm dreaming or not I notice my surrounding a little more crisp than what they usual are as the dream continue on I notice I'm going thru Dream transformation yet I'm not. Human while I sleep I see thru the eye of a blue eye monkey so while I struggle with lucidity to sustain my dream form I have a non-lucid transformation trying to get the clarity of a lucid being if I don't become lucid enough thru the first transformation I then induce a lucid consistent trance where I try an confused my non lucid mind into thinking I'm still trap in a dream state that I could fall in an out of sleep into while strengthen my lucidity with each dream transformation the trance lucid form of myself as a blue eye monkey become stronger an my lucidity also heightens taking. Me thru a new plane of Hi.
