    1. Exploring Three Dream Abilities

by , 05-10-2011 at 04:22 AM (The Lab Notebook)
Awake, Non-lucid, Lucid, [Commentary made while awake]

I'm traveling to Epcot on a highway. The highway is elevated relative to the park, which is long and narrow, and lush and green. There is a giant, inflated jack-o’-lantern in the center of the park. I’m dismayed to realize that the jack-o’-lantern has become the park’s de facto icon; it was never meant to be.

[Different dream.] I'm at a summer camp somewhere. [The day before I had this dream, I'd suddenly, randomly come to the nostalgic realization that it had been a very long time since I'd been to a camp of any kind. Thanks, brain! :-) ] I arrive at a wooden pickup station (sort of like a bus stop) at 8:15 A.M. [I think], in time to get picked up by a horse-drawn, wheeled wagon. I climb up into it and sit down on one of several benches. The wagon takes me and several other campers to an Old Western town where a reenactment activity will take place.

When I get there, I'm really glad I got up in time to catch the wagon, because the town is pretty cool. There are a bunch of animatronic figures that re-enact the shootout at the OK Corral. They have guns that fire styrofoam bullets, which stick to designated, smooth, flat target areas on the other animatronic figures. I move out of the way and take cover while the shootout is going on, not wanting to get hit by the bullets.

When the shootout is over, a large bunch of balloons comes floating toward me. I understand that it’s to transport me back to the point where I entered the town. I take hold of the ribbons on the balloons and allow them to pick me up and float me over some buildings to another part of the town.

I touch down in front of some town official, possibly the mayor or the sheriff. He asks me, “What do you think of the town?”

“I think I’ll stay,” I answer. When I say this, what I mean by it is that I want to get a souvenir picture taken in period costume. There is a kiosk nearby where you can do this. I’m about to do it, but when I look at the signs on the kiosk, I see that the pictures cost $5.00 each. I don’t want to pay $5.00 for a photo, so I change my mind and turn away.

[Dreamskip.] I’m floating with my bunch of balloons again [I think], heading toward a theme park with a roller coaster. I’m thinking about how theme parks are architectural works of art, and should be appreciated as such.

[I waited too long to start writing this, so I don't really remember what happened between the end of that scene and the beginning of the next one, nor do I remember how or why I became lucid.]

I'm in the entrance corridor of a big, fancy office building with a beautifully decorated interior. In front of me is a long wall with a door in it, and a sign next to the door indicating that these are the offices of a financial company. I know that it's a subsidiary of another company, and that it's in charge of the other company's finances.

I think, Okay. I'm going to try to walk through a wall again. I start walking forward, thinking about that goal. I begin to pass through the wall, and the room on the other side becomes visible. I continue moving forward. Even when I've gone far enough that I should be all the way through, I can still see parts of the ornately-decorated wall; they linger in my vision, semi-transparent and seeming to stick with me, like the strands of a spiderweb stick to you when you walk through it. I think, Just keep going forward. They'll go away, and you'll get through. You can do it. I keep moving forward, and the last strands of the afterimage of the wall finally fall away behind me, leaving me standing in the financial offices. There's no tactile sensation this time, though, unlike in my previous lucid dream when I went through the car door; this time, I don't feel anything at all from the wall. I'm happy and proud that I've finally walked through a wall without leaving a hole in it.

I wander through the financial offices a bit. There are employees of the company there, walking around, going about their everyday work. I think, I'm invisible and inaudible to them. Or, if I am visible, I just look like another employee. Somehow, I just know intuitively that one or the other of these things is true.

Eventually, I end up in front of another long wall, this one made of mirrors.
[I don't remember now how I got from one scene to the next.] When I find myself in front of this wall of mirrors, I think, Now that I've figured out how to walk through walls, I'd like to try out another dream ability. I wonder if I can create a portal. Remembering what I read in somebody’s DJ here on DreamViews, I use my right index finger to trace a circle on the mirror-wall. [I don't know what exactly made me pick this destination, but] In my thoughts, I pick “heaven” as the destination that I want to be on the other side of the portal. When I'm finished drawing the circle, the area inside it doesn't transform into a portal; instead, it swings inward, like a door on a hinge. I go through the doorway.

The doorway is on one of the short sides of a rectangular room. The floor, walls, and ceiling of the room are all the same dark, metallic slate-gray color. At the opposite end of the room is a raised stage, also that same color, and on the stage is a smaller-than-life-size, cartoon lion. He's very definitely alive, though, and I know who he is immediately. I kneel down on the floor where I am and exclaim, “My Lord Aslan!”
      [Hmm. Well. That's reassuring.]

[I don't really remember how I got to the next scene. I remember attempting to create another portal and finding only darkness on the other side of the circular door because I hadn't been thinking of any particular destination, but I don't remember whether that was before or after the above scene. In any case, here's the next scene that I do remember.]

I'm now outside the building I was in before, walking across a grassy field. I happen to glance down at my feet and notice that I'm barefoot, and that I appear to have an unusually large number of toes, sticking out at odd angles and overlapping each other in unnatural ways, just like my fingers sometimes do when I look at them in dreams. I look down again, and this time I see that I have eight toes in a neat row on my left foot. It makes me smile to discover that toes can exhibit the same odd behavior as fingers in dreams.

I'm very pleased with my achievements so far tonight, but no other ideas for new abilities to try out come to mind, and the sky and the grass are so inviting, so I decide to fly. I kick off the ground with my right foot and take off. I find myself being forced backward by some unseen, unidentified force, just as I have many times before when I've started flying. I move my fists into the position I learned from my dream dad in my previous lucid, with my left fist close to my chest and my right one further away from my body, and move them back and forth relative to each other, trying to use that new technique I'd just learned to gain control over my flying. It works. I stop feeling the unseen force, and begin flying forward.

[That’s the last I remember of my dream.]

I woke up and found myself still in sleep paralysis. I didn’t feel any vibrations this time, though; it just felt like my arms and legs were really heavy, and like I couldn’t move them even if I tried. I waited a few seconds before moving my arms from their position up over my head. I didn’t even remember putting them there before falling asleep. A few minutes later, the feeling goes away.

      -----------
      Side notes:

I get to check another goal off my list of lucid-dreaming goals! Yay! I really look forward to continuing to improve my intangibility skills. Now that I've more or less gotten the hang of going through things, my new big goal is to get good at defining, creating, and getting into dream environments of my choice.

    3. dragon

      by , 05-09-2011 at 02:33 PM
had my first dragon dream, it was not the traditional fantasy story that i read about. the dragon was hiding in a garage it was protecting and object that i needed to destroy. at first i was waiting for my chance to get at the object but the dragon would not leave, then a group of DCs in a car came out of nowhere and rammed the door to the garage and the dragon got mad and left and tried to kill them. i don't think they were with me i think they were acting on there own. this was the distraction that i needed i went into the garage and there was the object sitting on one of the lifts it was a gold object rectangular in shape and i think it had some strange writing on it. i pulled out my golden sword which someone had given me to destroy the object but when i hit the object the sword acted like it was a play sword made out of plastic. And i thought to myself
well this sucks let me make the sword solid so i can break this thing and get out of here.

i made the sword soild, struck the object again and it barely made a scratch on it. i knew the dragon would be back soon so i picked up the object and smashed it on the floor of the garage.

    4. Shared dreams with DC's and i went lucid and met my dream guide

      by , 05-09-2011 at 08:42 AM
It started off we decided to test a shared dreaming theory, we all fell asleep and we all battled a giant creature, i woke up and we were asking each other questions about the fight and we were shared dreaming, i was like "yeah that was cool."
I was then talking to my "lucid dream" teacher? (it was as if we werre in class) and he was really impressed with my results.
So he pulled a strand of my hair out and went, ill need that here you have some.
It was as if all the roots of this strand were clumped together and my hair was really really soft.

I then gave him a time table sheet and he signed it and began writing titles for peoples dreams, i walked out of class and a friend stopped me and said come with me quick, he pulled me into a room and said i need help with my late coursework and showed me a big cyclinder type thing wrapped in tin foil.
I said just hand it in now and tell your teacher you'll upgrade it before the deadline.
I then began to walk out of class with my coursework which was more of a present, someone startted to try and rip the wrapping off my present and i said "if you rip that off ill rip your fucking face off" and he ripped it off and ran off, i had wrapping paper underneath which was green, i started to run a different way to catch them up, a teacher intervened and slammed them both into a wall, i said "damnnn this guy is good" they then ripped the rest of my wrapping paper off and ran, i caught up to them and pushed them to the floor, they began laughing at my subject of lucid dreaming. This other teacher was confused as i picked up my cards (lucid dreaming cards.)

I said to him "its the study of dream awareness, like you become aware in your dreams that you're dreaming" i started to talk about it as we walked outside and then i realised my surroundings, i knew i was dreaming (this is from an awareness RC one thing ive been attemping)

      lucid:
I thought yes im lucid, spawned a sword in my hand and slashed the guy who annoyed me and ran towards a white honda rubbing my hands and jumped through the closed window to get into the seat, i transformed the car (a bit like how a transformer does) into a sort of car/plane and began to make it fly, i shot rockets out of the front of the car and started to fly around in the car. I landed it and jumped out where my mysterious friend (the one that is in all my dreams) was there, but in a different form than the last girl, she was skinny with short brown hair.
She was fighting an evil guy who was tall and beefy with really long blonde straight hair i got dual swords and began to fight him i then jumped up and merged thr swords together to create one massive large sword and i spun around flying towards him and then started to do all these sword tricks which i could never do in real life.

I then said "dream guide" randomly and i saw someone just instantly appear, i then said "stop stop stop" and everyone except the girl and my DG stopped.
I said "dream guide dream guide dream guide" every time i said it he flickered like a computerised image and got a bit closer, i then said "stop, dont run, come here" he walked towards me not saying a word.
I looked at him up and down, my dream guide was a matt damon lookalike, he looked a lot like the character "steve mcdonald" from coranation street but without a receeding hairline.

He had shortish brown hair which was quite wavy i then looked at his clothes, he was wearing a purple cardiagan and a blue tshirt underneath then blue jeans and blue pumps which were dark blue with a light blue sole. i said "purple, blue blue blue OMG EVEN HIS EYES ARE BLUE!!!" then i thought "maybe this must be my faviourite colour" and i do like the colour blue.
He didn't say anything he just stood there as i held his shoulders, he stared into nothingness, he had a blank face and didnt say a word.

I then put my head on his and i began to morph into his head, i then saw a loading screen and i thought "im going inside my own subconscious"
I couldn't see anything but i could feel the floor i spun round and there was a sort of curb which i nearly tripped on, i then shouted "subconscious! make all my dreams lucid!!!" as i began to wake up to my dog barking.

      best bits were:
      Shared dreaming with DC's
      Spawning swords and merging them
      Flying a honda
Seeing my dream friend which i love (lol wierd i kno)
Meeting my dream guide and having a detailed look at what he looks like
      Teleporting to my subconscious?
      Pausing time
      Flying.

Also before i went to bed i ate quite a bit of cheese and drank loads of milk and had some b-vitamine tablets and 2 nytol.
The other night i did this i got a really memorable vivid dream, same for this time. cheese really does work

    5. Not Quite Completing an Old Flying Goal (Night of April 27-28)

by , 05-09-2011 at 06:10 AM (The Lab Notebook)
[This is a catch-up post. I had another good lucid dream on the night of April 27-28, 2011. It took me a long time to get around to finishing the writeup of this, but here it is.]

Awake, Non-lucid, Semi-lucid, Lucid, [Commentary made while awake]

I'm at a meeting of my local community advocacy and action group. It's being held in a big, spacious, public multipurpose meeting room. There are no chairs or tables in the room, just empty floor space. A lot of the people there are wearing our team color, orange. We're electing the new secretary for the group. The election process begins with everyone who wants to run for the position walking out of the crowd and going and standing in a line, facing the rest of the crowd. My friend J. is there, and she starts to go and stand in the line of candidates. I tell her something like, “Oh, don't run for this. You already do so many things.” I'm specifically thinking of choir when I say this. [In real life, J. and I are in choir together, but she's not part of the advocacy group.] I say this to her because I don't want her to get overwhelmed with too many responsibilities.

[Later, different cycle.] I'm walking through House #1. Everything looks gray, dimly-lit and fuzzy. Because of that, I suspect that I might be dreaming, so I do a reality check. [I don't remember what it was; I think it was trying to go through a solid object.] It doesn't work. “Aw, nutbunnies!” I say aloud, disappointed that it isn't a dream.

And yet, a part of my mind is still suspicious. As I continue walking through the house, I decide to try doing the nose-pinch RC. This time, it works. I'm delighted to find that I really am dreaming! Breathing through my pinched-shut nose feels really cool, too. I do it several times, to verify that I'm dreaming and to experience that cool, weird sensation. It's been a while since I've experienced it.

As usual, I'm eager to just explore the world of this dream and see what there is to see, so I leave the house through the front door and go outside into the yard. It's a bright, sunny, breezy day, and now everything is in color, rather than shades of gray. I walk through the front gate and out into the front yard. Standing on the front lawn between the hedge and the liquid-amber tree, I allow myself to be lifted up into the air on the breeze. It's really fun. “Wheeeee!” I say aloud, enjoying the moment with pure, childlike playfulness. The wind blows me into the branches of the liquid-amber tree, which are pointy and scratchy. I return to the ground.

Our brown car is sitting on the north side of the driveway, the side furthest from the front lawn.
[I think it might have been the Mazda we had when we lived in House #1, not the Honda we have now.] I decide to continue practicing my intangibility skills by passing through the closed car door to get into the car. As I start to go through the door to the back seat on the passenger side, the door becomes semi-transparent and stretches inward, like a rubber sheet. I get all the way through and feel the door pull away from my body as it snaps back into place. It feels like rubber, too. I'm now sitting in the back seat of the car. “Holy s***, that was awesome!” I exclaim aloud. I'm really proud that I succeeded in going through the car door like that.

I sit in the back seat of the car for a moment, just taking in the realism and detail of its interior and basking in the glow of my achievement. Then, I decide to get out of the car the normal way, by opening the door. By the time I get out, a van has parked on the other half of the driveway, right next to my car, and there are people getting out of it.

I think, Hey, I'm here in the dream version of my old neighborhood. This would be a great chance to go fly up to the top of the baseball backstop in the park. So I start flying toward the park. To get there, I fly above the streets that lead to it. “I’m not exactly going as the crow flies,” I remark to myself. I realize that I'm following the same route to get from my house to the park that one would follow if one were driving between the two points; I'm just following that route out of a habit that was ingrained into my mind in the real world. The thought crosses my mind that I might wake up from this at any moment, but I immediately push the thought away and ignore it, because I want to stay in the dream.

I arrive at the park. “I’ve always wanted to do this!” I exclaim.
[Some background for DV readers: As a child, I once came across a book about out-of-body experiences in a bookstore. I didn't buy it, and I was too afraid to try to induce an OBE, but I thought the idea was really cool. I fantasized that if I were ever to have one, the first thing I would do would be to go to the park, fly to the top of the chain-link baseball backstop, and sit on the edge of it. I wanted to do that in this dream because it was something I had wanted to do for many, many years.]

I start flying through the park toward the baseball backstop. My dad is there, and he stops me and shows me a way to hold my arms that will help me fly better and faster. I do what he shows me: hold my arms out in front of me, elbows bent, fists out, right fist in front of my left one. He tells me that I can fly faster by pushing my right fist further away from me and pulling my left one in closer to my chest, as if I were pulling a rope taut. I try it, and it works. During this training session, I notice that I’m suddenly wearing red boxing gloves.

Using this new method, I continue flying toward my goal. It's a long, long way to the place where I think the baseball field should be, over wild, natural terrain. When I get to where I think it should be, there is no baseball field there, just a broad area filled with rocky hills. I spot the backstop among the hills and land next to it.

“What?” I say aloud, surprised and confused. There is a metal baseball backstop, but it's tiny
[maybe two feet tall], overgrown with weeds, and covered with the spiky seed pods from liquid-amber trees. “That’s pretty lame!” I say in disappointment. I turn away and fly back the way I came.

I eventually fly back to what appears to be the counter of a sporting-goods store. I land there and take off the red boxing gloves I'm still wearing, and the bicycle kneepads I have on my feet. I then leave the store by flying through the big, high, square window above its front door. Flying through it creates a sort of flashing, ripple effect in the glass, somewhat similar to what I saw the first time I went through glass, but more visible and flashier. I knew I could fly through glass intangibly because I’d done it before.

I'm now flying outside. There is a concrete parking structure that looks a lot like the one at the local mall right in front of me, and there is another park off to the right. I head toward the park to fly up onto one of the baseball backstops there. As I’m making my way over there, I hear the very faint sound of smooth jazz music. I realize that there’s only one place that music could be coming from: my parents’ clock radio.
[I notice that the music is playing at normal speed, too – this demonstrates to me that time does indeed pass at the same speed in my lucid dreams as it does in the real world.] The combination of the music and my knowledge of where it's coming from cause the dream to fade and me to wake up.

    6. Black Cat Carcass

      by , 05-08-2011 at 05:38 PM
      Dreamed on May 07, 2011
For some reason, I had this dead black cat (I seem to remember something about obtaining it in a grocery store?) & there was an evil spirit trying to inhabit it. So, I kept the carcass in my room until I figured out what to do with it. I remember seeing it on my nightstand rotting. I had to keep banishing the evil spirit from the cat's body but it wouldn't give up. After a while, I had my brother go downstairs to distract my mom so that we could get out of the house without her seeing the dead cat. Our plan was to go bury it. So, while he was doing that, I wrapped up the body in an AC/DC shirt & then went downstairs. When I got to the landing, there was this little boy waiting for me & my brother was gone. It was Halloween, so my mother told me to give him some candy, which I did even though I knew the real reason the boy was here--the evil spirit was inside of him & he temporarily inhabited the boy's body to get to the cat. I remember tickling him, acting like everything was okay. After I gave him the candy, he tried to run up the stairs to the cat (he didn't know I had the body with me) but I caught him & put him outside the front door. I then proceeded to go for a "walk", but I actually rode my bike to a graveyard, with my boyfriend (the little boy was gone when I left). When we got to the graveyard, the whole scene was really spooky & it was kind of dark out. There were open graves everywhere, & I remember seeing these big, fake eyeballs on the ground as well. When we went inside the gate, I realized that there were cat carcasses everywhere. I felt disgusted & scared & started to cry--I think I was barefoot at this point--so I just set the cat down instead of burying it as planned. My boyfriend & I got out of there as soon as possible & all of a sudden, we're at the top of my staircase & it starts to snow. The snowflakes looked like little yogurt clusters. My boyfriend said that he had a bad feeling about going downstairs & that he didn't want to, but my reasoning was that we were gonna have to face it sooner or later. He then decided to leave & ran down the stairs & then disappeared when he reached the bottom. He left me there to face whatever it was alone. So, I go downstairs & there's a creepy, sinister, ghostly, aristocratic man sitting in the recliner waiting for me. He orders me to get dog treats for him to feed to my chihuahua, Candy. I think I feared that he would hurt her. Anyway, I got the treats for him, which were in a tiny bag, so consequently, the treats were tiny as well. He acted like the treats were really important for some reason. Then I showed him that Candy could do tricks, & he seemed in total disbelief that she could beg. He wasted the whole bag in a matter of minutes, throwing handfuls of the treats at her. When he ran out, he demanded for more & I explained that we didn't have any more & would have to buy some at the store. I didn't really realize this while I was dreaming, but at some point, he turned into a woman. She had this piercing, scary beauty about her & she made me feel more uncomfortable than the man did. She made me sit on her lap & she showed me how she killed herself by touching my temporal lobes with her hands. The vision that came to me when she did this was her staring back at me in a crouched position with big, beautiful, frightening eyes & I asked her, "How can you be so beautiful & frightening at the same time?" She replied, "It depends on how far you're willing to be corrupted." She then stabbed herself in the eyes with what I think were golden-colored flats, which were, apparently, my shoes.
    7. Sunday mornin 5/8/2011

      by , 05-08-2011 at 04:17 PM
This one actually happened a few days ago, but.. its the coolest one I've had this week.

I am me, in an apocalyptic zombie world > (i mean it's like real life, but w/zombies everywhere. In case you thought i meant an alien type zombie land..). There are a few other people around, I think a man and some others. We're in a car dealership type place, but instead of cars on the bottom floor with the glass windows, there are tools like in a mechanics. Everything gets hazy about then, but somehow the zombies end up finding out we're in the car dealership and they start busting through the windows on the first floor. The others and I go through a door on the next floor and come out on a place outside the building. Like, it was the roof, but not the top roof.. uhm, so like the, dang i dunno what it's called.. But anyway, we get to the outside of the roof of the second floor, and a few zombies come out the door. We shoot them and I turn around and look at the ground over the ledge. Then it gets fuzzy again. I can't remember if I jumped down or if I went through the building and down the stairs to the outside. So, I'm outside and I see a car in a lot over to the far right. I run over and open the driver door. There is a woman and a girl in it, but the were dead so i dumped them out (a little hesitantly of course ^^') and I drive the car over to the car dealership building we started in. The other survivors got in and I drove them straight through the dirt and grass. Then I made a sort of left through the same dirt and tall grasses towards a long building. There are more survivors in there, and we get in after talking with an (army?) dude that tells us to be quiet so the zombies won't know we're there. The dream skips a bit from there since I don;t remember, but I ended up talking to my dad and some other people there and I go on 'scavenging duty.' But it's weird because we are scavenging for furniture lol, and the outside isn't an empty expanse of dirt anymore. We were in a British town and the long flat building I came out of turned out to be a big campus-like building. That's it, I think. But later I did get caught in a zombie rush.
    8. Long, freaky, detailed, non-lucid nightmare

      by , 05-08-2011 at 03:38 PM
I was in a castle where this person was breeding zebrafish. She began telling us (there was a group of us listening to her) that the last time she tried, "a horrible loch ness monster type of thing was born," quoted by her. At this point, the dream flashed to a movie-like close-up of a flashback of the monster as a baby. One of its eyes was closed, and it opened it to reveal a cat-like violet eye. It was kind of a mixture of a sea monster and a dragon. More like a dragon, actually, but it didn't have wings. It had a fierce look to it. Then, the close-up disappeared and it went back to normal. She said, "The only way to kill one of these terrible things is if it is young enough to not be green. If it is green, it is an adult and becomes immortal. If you do manage to capture one when it is young, throw it on a hard surface to kill it."
Then the egg of the zebrafish began to crack (yes, the egg cracked like a chicken's) and she told us to go outside. There was a lake outside, and a wide, open field that led to a street. So, it looked like a mansion, I suppose. We just sat down and waited, until finally the zebrafish woman came out. But no one really did anything, just sat. Then, I saw something peek out of the lake that looked kind of like an arm with another arm branching off of it. I knew immediately that it was the monster that had just been born. I screamed, "Oh! Someone look! HELP!" No one looked. The arm left, and then I saw a green, slimy back slide through the water. "LOOK!" I cried.
They looked, and I realized that now we couldn't kill it, because it was green. Everyone screamed and scrambled up, and we ran. I was running with this curly-haired boy, down the street. We heard a roar and a huge footstep in the distance behind us, but we didn't look. We just ran. The street we were on was very suburban-looking, with no cars and only a bit of sidewalk. But we were on the street itself, not the sidewalk. We turned a corner, and another (we were still going downhill), when we saw a park. It had a playground and a baseball field, so we decided to stop there. Everyone else from the group was there, playing football. It never once occurred to me that it was odd to be playing football when a giant monster was after us. Then, a TV appeared out of the blue in front of us. It showed a news channel, with a reporter telling about the monster and showing clips of it.
The first clip showed it chomping down on an empty van laying on its side, and pulling it up so it rolled on its own. It began following the van. Then something clicked in my head.
The van was being pulled along by gravity. So if it was rolling on its own, it was only going downhill.
And the monster was following it. And we had only gone downhill.
I screamed, and the curly-haired boy must have realized it too, because he grabbed my wrist and started running towards a building. He let go of my hand and motioned for me to go up first. I began running up the stairs of the building, which seemed completely empty except for the long, winding staircase. I kept running, when the stairs stopped, leading to a floor and a tiny room with no door. There were more stairs on another part of the room, so really it was more of a "rest" when you are going from floor to floor. I skidded to a halt when I realized there was no wall on the "room" on one section. Actually, it was more like a huge, open bay window. Had I kept running, I would have zoomed out and fallen a long way into the street below. I made the mistake of looking down at the cars below, and I swallowed and struggled to keep my balance. I ran up the other stairs, but then I gasped with horror and stopped.
      It was a dead end.

I woke up, but it didn't fully register that I was out of the dream for a few minutes. I wonder what would have happened if the dream had continued. Would the monster have come? Maybe. My nightmares almost always have a bad ending, so the monster probably would have suddenly decided to look in the building. Or something.

    9. 1st LD!! Some Telikenisis and stuff

      by , 05-08-2011 at 12:50 PM
Well, it all started in my middle school. Everyone was all scared because of a guy in a purple cape (who abducted my sister) was chasing after us. Me and my friend from middle school were running away from him together. When we were in a large hallway on the 1st floor where the lockers are, (It was so crowded that the guy in the purple cape didn't see us), my friend told me to go back home to get swimming trunks (i dont know why) but anyway, i decided to go back home to get them, but i was hoping that he was gonna be ok. So, i opened a window and flew in the direction to go home. While flying, i had a weird sensation that i was dreaming. So, i landed at an intersection where the Marlboro Public Library was and the 3 roads connecting Route 520 and Wyncrest RD. I then realized that i was dreaming and got pretty excited, but i didn't wake up. Everything looked SOOO CLEAR!!! :dreaming: i tried to shoot a Kamehameha (from DBZ) at a nearby tree, but it didn't shoot out so well. it shot out as a little ball with a tail at the end. So then, i found another nearby tree and used Telikenesis to move it back and forth. i just moved my hand back and forth and the tree branches moved too. i then chrunched up my fingers and the tree branches crunched up tight and destroyed itself!!! But then i remembered my friend back at the middle shcool and tryed to rush home, but i woke up. After waking up, i was so excited that i had my 1st LD! I wrote everything down and my excitement lasted me the whole morning!
    10. The Addiction

      Date: 08-06-10
      Length: 10 Minutes
      Vividness: 10/10

I was in our vacation home in La Baule, France.
I was in the living room sitting on the orange couch by the window.
My sister, Marin, was sitting at the table, my girlfriend Dakota was right next to me, and my youngest sister, Manon, was on the white couch, opposite to the one I was on.

I had a lit cigarette in my mouth, and I began smoking it.
I remember preventing myself from inhaling the smoke by just blowing it out without actually sucking in.
I've never smoked before, but in the dream, it was a very casual thing, like I had done it many times before.
I kept telling myself that I wasn't addicted, and I could stop when I would want.

After a couple seconds, the cigarette went out and I realized it was because I was smoking the lit end.
I got up to get a lighter and found one on the table across from the bar.
It was a sleek, metallic one that stayed lit when you press it down.
I found Dakota's scorpion one next to it and thought I should tell her.
I walked back over to the couch and Manon said she had something to show me, but she wouldn't.

    11. Ticketed at Dairy Queen

      by , 05-08-2011 at 03:22 AM
Non lucid, I did have control over the dream though and it was quite vivid. Don' bother reading the first paragraph it's fairly boring but it's something I need to note.

The dream started with me driving down a dark road, it was raining outside or at least felt like it was cold. I was smoking a cig driving down the road minding my own business. I suddenly drove by a Dairy Queen I don't remember if there were even any other buildings around it but it was there I saw a friend that I'm trying to avoid in real life through the window, she took a glance at me so I knew she saw me. It meant I had to go in and say hi to her I walk in the back door for employees only, this place is huge for a DQ lol it feels like I walk through 10 different areas or hallways. I was meeting all sorts of people managers, workers, and everyone was friendly and said hi. The manager that I saw in there was the manager of a Carls Jr near my house in real life. I finally came up to the girl I was trying to avoid and said hi to her she wasn't mad like I expected but was very happy to see me. We talked for a moment she asked where I'd been and how I've been. I just shook it off with saying I was ok and asked her how she was. At that moment something interrupted the conversation, I think it was a customer that needed help so she said she had to go.
When I was about to leave she asked me to hang out with her and go for a run.. I said sure and that second she started sprinting out of the place, I kept up with her until I got outside which is when I saw my cousin Trevor. he wanted to go on a room with us also, so we started running together and the girl suddenly starts to sprint again and gets way the hell in front of us, we were running in a dark park like area with a paved trail about 15 feet wide. My cousin was like damn that girl can run, I was running as fast as I could to keep up but couldn't. I didn't feel tired or anything, but it felt really good to just run full speed. we never ended up catching her and all of the sudden very quickly someone appeared and said I had broke the law and gave me a $300 ticket, it was a voucher like ticket that listed my offences and the amount I owe. The figure told me I had to appear in a court and pay this off right away. The charges were ridiculous, it said I was going over the speed limit running.... and that I had been caught with maryjane on me (lol). The weed charge was a lot less than the speeding charge for some reason :x So I had to navigate my to the stupid court house and pay my fines, I finally got there and there were tons of people standing in an airport like setting waiting in line to pay their tickets. I was comparing tickets with my Cousin and his was only $23 I was pissed. Other people around me had very small charges also. I should have known I was in a dream because the amount I owed kept going up and down, like I was making up for some of it and also accumulating more debt at the same time. That's the end not an exciting dream at all but it was very realistic and vivid while in it, I woke up several times in this dream back into real life but I honestly just needed sleep and didn't feel like trying a DEILD, though I thought about it.

    12. Blue Orchid

      by , 05-07-2011 at 11:29 PM
These dreams come in different segments but they're all connected. Also, I've had these dreams before on several different occasions. This time I had more lucid control over them, they were much more vivid, and I have little trouble recalling them.

The start of the first dream took place in a ravine, some dark rocky trench flanked between two buildings, like an alley. I was with a friend and we both came across a mannequin at the bottom of the trench. The mannequin was alive and she told us to retrieve the key inside her in order to continue to the next half of my dream. There was a hole in her thigh, so I ripped off the plastic skin there and found a series of plastic tuppaware containers that were filled with food. We opened each container and emptied the contents to find the key. The hole in her leg that held the tuppaware got deeper and the small plastic containers got bigger. The more bins we opened, the more rotten and bug infested the food became. My friend was disgusted and didn't want to continue looking. But I finished on my own because I wanted to continue the dream. I found the key in the last largest maggot inhabited container.

The dream continued without my friend but I was accompanied by Vin Diesel (the actor) and Optimus Prime (a Transformer). We had a mission to stop a latex fetish woman who tortured and killed people. While we staked out the factory she used as a hideout, Optimus and Vin were perched on a nearby warehouse roof. Optimus was in his truck form and I suddenly realized that he was stuck in this fashion and he couldn't transform. Vin said he knew a way to unlock this, so he jumped off the roof and wandered into the latex lady's factory. I've had this dream before, and I consciously remembered that Vin gets tortured and killed inside the factory, so I jump off the roof and pursue him in order to prevent the same outcome as it would usually happen.

I entered the building and it was lit by red lamps, like a dark room. Vin Diesel was floating in a pool of blood and tied by the wrists and ankles so he was immobile and couldn't escape. The woman was beginning to saw into his skull and I fought her off. At first, I thought it was somebody else fighting her, but it was me, just in a different body. I have brown eyes and black shoulder length hair in waking life, but here I had long blond hair and white eyes. I also had gloves with the imprint of skeleton hands on them, but when I fought with them, they became real bones and claws. The woman continued to struggle against me and eventually pinned me down and cut my face into a very intricate pattern that resembled tiger stripes on my cheeks and a thorned crown on my forehead that had the word "condemned" inscribed in the middle. They looked like a henna tattoo rather than scars or fresh wounds. She laughed at me and said I was worthy of making a movie out of. That upset me, I felt mocked and belittled. So I smiled and fought her back more viciously, saying that movies are fake and nothing like real life. The real world is full of pain and suffering and confusion and the cinema world is something that takes us away from fake synthetic things like her. I could clearly hear the song "Blue Orchid" by The White Stripes as I continued to scold her and beat her.

Thoughts and Stuff There were other small segments that involved stuffing hundred dollar bills into my bra, more tuppaware incidents that had nesting doll qualities, and screwing a girl that I used to have a thing for (still have a thing for? lol). Most of my dreams have been very nostalgic and exhausting to recall lately but this one made me wake up refreshed and curious. If you would like to share some insight, feel free.

    13. Volcano and Tsunami (07/03/11)

      by , 05-07-2011 at 08:27 PM
This entry is actually from a dream I had around 2 months ago. Since my activity on DV is pretty erratic, I did not write here on that day, but I can still remember every single detail from it. It happened less than 12 hours before the tsunami and earthquakes in Japan. In fact, this was the dream that actually prompted me to start a thread about precognitive dreams (in the Beyond Dreaming section); even though I have strong doubts about them.

The dream started out with me climbing a what seemed to be active volcano. It was a clear and sunny day and I had all my climbing gear on. Suddenly I noticed there were 2 suns in the sky. The second sun rose in the south and the mountains shined with a brillant orange-red aura. I felt like there was something at the top that was waiting for me. In my dreams I always have a sense that I am constantly missing something (hey maybe it's a form of dreamsign, I dunno).

The ascent was actually quite scary. As I climbed higher and higher I began feeling warmer and warmer due to the constant flow of lava that was only about a few meters away from me. Despite this, I was completely unharmed. After a few minutes of climbing, I reached a fairly flat plateau close to the summit. I was shocked to find a whole meadow filled with strangely looking, if not otherworldly flowers with crystalline bulbs and silver-leafed trees! The leaves reflected the brilliant rays from the southern sun and made the plateau look like a forest on fire! It was a breathtaking sight that words simply fail to describe!
However, this beauty did not last for long. In the blink of an eye, I saw a patch of darkness in the horizon where the second sun was. The forest immediately lost its "flame" Then, before my eyes the darkness spread until it covered the blue sky and vast bolts of surreal lightning raced across the landscape. I heard a deep rumbling coming from the distance and soon enough I saw an unbelievably tall tidal wave rushing towards the volcano. It hit the plateau with extreme force and all of a sudden everything was consumed by this chaotic force of water. To my amazement I was still able to keep a sense of direction and I found that I was able to breathe! Those crystal flowers began to give off a luminescent glow and the bulbs opened and streams of bubbles came rushing towards me. It felt as if I was breathing pure air. I determined that it was this that kept be alive, so I tried my best to remain close to it. Eventually I was swept off the volcano and into a pool of murky water. As I reached the surface of the water I saw that I was in a temple of some kind. The last thing I remember was an immense shockwave that caused the roof to crash on top me; then I woke up.

    14. Return of the witch.

by , 05-07-2011 at 06:49 PM (Whacky adventures in a fragile world.)
      Saturday, May 7, 2011*

I'm in a room I don't recognize. It's not too big and quite dark. The only light comes from the drape covered windows. My brother Blake is with me and a few other kids I don't know. There are only two beds so I have no choice but to share a bed with them. After a while of them hogging all of the *comforter I get up and decide to sleep on the floor. At first I lay down next to a huge window and it's quite sunny. I can feel the light hitting my eyelids. I'm laying vertical to the window so I turn to my left and position my body horizontally. This position is better and I manage to fall asleep. I'm awaken by a presence on my back. Experienced with this kind of occurrence I turn around unphazed by what I'm about to experience. I see an old hag sitting over me. I grab her arms and fight her off with the strength I can muster. I'm not afraid because I know this must be a dream and I cannot be hurt. She is quite the ugly bitch too. She has long gray hair, a face full of worts especially her nose. She has purple colored eyes and horrible teeth.

I begin to insult her as she laughs. My voice is quite distorted and I sound even more menacing then she does. She looks puzzled as if she's asking herself why I'm not afraid. I can feel her push a sort of scary presence over me like she is trying to scare me, but I laugh and tell her to fuck off.
I then close my eyes and relax and I feel a boom of white energy envelope me. Now with a renewed source of energy I kick her off of me and she smashes into the wall. She disappears just as quick as she appeared.*

I walk over to my brother Blake who is awake. I tell him we should watch each other while we sleep or dream and that if we see the witch going for one of us we should say the secret word. I try really hard while writing this but I cannot remember what it was.*

A while later as we fall asleep, I hear my brother talking in his sleep. I can hear him say the word. I seem to be dreaming inside his dream and I bolt up out of bed and charge the witch. I catch her off guard and choke slam her into the wall and she disappears once more. I return to bed and when I close my eyes I start to experience SP like symptoms. I start to see bright white lights and I can hear movement in the room and I'm awaken by my brother. He tells me the witch returned and he put her in her place.*

We both went back to bed and we knew she wouldn't come back again.
I wake up for real this time and I'm happy. I feel victorious by how easily and non frightening this bitch was.
    15. Grim Adventures Of Billy And Mandy

      by , 05-07-2011 at 04:43 PM
I saw Grim, Mandy and Billy, fromt that show name thats in the title. Grim was putting a blanket on billy and carrying him around then taking the blanket back off, claiming it was teleportation. Billy believed it of course. The blanket was green, the carpet grewyish-white. It was my room. Mandy was holding a course rope, tanish in color. She said "We need to tie Billy up, so he doesnt get in trouble." Grim agreed, then mandy reached down her mouth and pulled out her intestins and used those to tie him up with. She the set off with the tan rope, for reasons unknown. Grim then played the teleportation game with the tied up billy again. The dream ended.
